Good morning, everybody, and welcome to today's episode of Market Check brought to you by BB.
There is no second best live YouTube stream to talk about markets.
Happy Friday, everybody. Congratulations. You have survived another week in markets.
Seems like things are starting to become a little bit more interesting as we hashtag monitor the situation.
But welcome, guys. I'm Storlax. You also know me as Tommy. I'm joined by Tucker, Big Louie.
And today, of course, we're joined by Prometheus. So welcome back.
We're going to have a great show for you guys today discussing all things markets.
Bitcoin selling off a little bit today but
still mostly trading within its uh its range from the last few weeks equities continue to kind of
dribble bleed lower i think the the selling that we're seeing is probably more isolated towards
individual names uh over the last two or three days so we'll discuss that but uh yeah before we
can start talking about all of that good stuff and it's
friday so i'm sure there will be some other entertaining ramblings uh throughout the show
hit the like button for us guys um i usually we usually don't bug you on friday for likes
so we probably won't see soybeans today but just as a gesture of good faith, of course,
we always appreciate when you guys can run up that like button, do your part, help us
continue to improve our outreach on YouTube.
But we're also joined by Max I see as well.
So yeah, as we as we're getting into the flow of things, talk about the markets.
I mean, we're kind of red today.
Like I said, the selling that we're seeing today is kind of more so isolated
to some of these individual stock names, which shouldn't be hugely surprising
because a lot has been made about the just broader dispersion in the market.
A lot of things pumped really hard.
Now we're seeing a lot of things
progressively pull back. Does this start to put pressure on markets at the index level, I think,
is ultimately going to be very important. But the VIX is still below 30. So I think there is still
maybe some plausible deniability here. And of course, Bitcoin strength as well relative to
equities. Since we started forming
this trading range, I'm not going to say that Bitcoin has been relatively stronger than equities
for the last few, like three, four or five months, because obviously that's not true. But we do know
that Bitcoin and crypto tend to front run lows on equities. So is that what we're seeing still here
with Bitcoin? As although we are rotating back down towards the lower end of the range, we could still be forming or rather in the bottoming process for crypto or is the bottom about to give out?
We're going to discuss it on today's show.
Like I said, maybe some other additional ramblings.
After all, we do have March Madness later today.
I won't make, I made a joke about that last week, I think, so I won't do that again today.
What are we seeing in the markets?
Welcome back, Prometheus.
Let's have a good show, guys.
I recommend if anybody ever has the opportunity to go to Thailand to definitely go.
I mean, the people are, you know, very gracious, super, super friendly, very nice.
gracious um super super friendly very nice and uh got to see some first-hand oil experience
which i maybe can talk about but other than that i was completely offline uh tucker told me he said
if i see you on discord i'm gonna kill you wait you're telling me you you didn't know the price of
digital assets for two weeks no wonder it was a great vacation
yeah dude i could never do that like i i think i would have a panic attack not checking price
i have to check price i and i had like going into it i had a few positions open and i was in the
airport um in la in lax and i was sitting there and i was
staring at my phone and i had to make the conscious decision i said you know what we're not going to
do this and i just like closed out every single position what's like i'm just stepping away
i would have just i would have just stayed in my hotel room like left my wife to just like do her own thing and just stared at the
chart the whole trip you know yeah wow it looks like a lot a lot happened man it looks like i
missed a lot you know actually actually nothing happened yeah nothing happened how have you guys
been miserable you know the usual yeah yeah wait when did you what was what was the day you left
march 10th yeah we rainbowed the entire thing since you left yeah we did nothing bro today
yeah all you did was miss like 500 trump headlines and then that's it okay
nothing i heard about one of them i heard about one them. I met a guy that worked in the Qatar embassy in a tattoo shop.
I did not get a tattoo, by the way.
And that was an interesting conversation.
But yeah, I heard there was like a taco.
He came out and was like, oh, we have big deals happening.
And then the IRC came out and was like oh we have big you know deals happening and then the irc came
out and like had like an animation or something and was like actually there's no deals we blew up
a thing in texas and yeah yeah it's getting weird man it's uh like they're like we're just making, like, hype videos on the war.
Have you seen the White House Twitter account?
Yeah, the, like, cryptic message or whatever.
Iran's making them, too, now.
Like, Iran, like, made a video, like, them bombing the Statue of Liberty.
But, like, the Statue of Liberty was, like,ue of Liberty was the devil goat head.
I don't know. It's weird shit going on.
Hate to see him making bangers,
but you got to respect it.
I don't know what the fuck goes on anymore.
You're telling me you're not crushing it in these conditions, Louis?
All right, Prometheus, tell us, like, the highlight of your trip tell us one thing or we have to talk
about the market yeah i mean i can i'll yap it's a friday stream like no one expects us to tell
them anything useful today they know what happens on fridays like come on um highlight of my trip
was i mean there was so much so we went with a friend who's from phuket so he was kind of like
our tour guide in a way um and and it made the whole trip amazing uh went and saw some muay thai
fights went to a temple got blessed by monks um went up in the mountains, we, lots of beaches, lots of local food. Um, shopping's incredible.
Um, like, I mean, the shopping in Bangkok's incredible. You get things for, you can buy like
name brand t-shirts. I mean, they're knockoffs, but they're literally the same quality. Um,
you can buy them for like $3. super cool lots of thai massages um
yeah saw the grand palace so it was the like royal so it's the royal family's traditional home it's
one of the most spectacular spectacular buildings i've ever seen i think they built it over like a
hundred years immaculate that was super cool but overall i mean it was amazing super super amazing and just the people man like
you go there and everybody's so friendly and so nice and like you know they're just like
you're walking down the street and people are talking to random people and then you come back
to the u.s it's like dude what is going on? But yeah, just super, super, super friendly people.
And everybody's very polite and kind.
But I see Dorito in the audience.
Yeah, the oil situation, firsthand experience.
We were, so we drove mopeds around everywhere.
And if you went to get gas in the the morning or at night because the locals avoid the
middle of the day because it's so hot and if you go to get gas either in the morning or at night
the gas lines are like an hour long um and they're literally having to like ration oil there
and gas uh it's a very interesting firsthand experience experience with that.
But yeah, that was kind of the gist of it.
Yeah, that sounds fantastic.
I'm happy you had a great time.
Yeah, we'll have to maybe have a BB road trip at some point.
Turn into, you know, vloggers, Instagram vloggers.
We all just move to Thailand and just disappear.
Dude, I will say it's amazing how far the dollar goes.
You go there and it's incredible.
I mean, it's really incredible.
Speaking of the dollar, do we need to check Dixie today?
I was wrong about the dollar.
Prometheus told me I was wrong about the dollar.
And I was like, you know what?
I think there's something bearish to it but i uh i underestimated how much the dollar could go up just by kind of like some of these other mechanical factors namely usdjpy
which i think is about to rip.
And obviously, it's going to be really hard for the dollar to go down
with the dollar ripping against the yen.
Max, your camera's off, but I hear what you're doing.
It looks like it wants higher, man wants higher this is breaking news actually did you
guys see this today yes this is breaking news yeah he's in jail mag mags yeah dude he uh he
like unloaded a clip on an alligator in the everglades just like with a pistol
yeah man where were you you when clavicular
mag-macked the alligator in the Everglades?
dinosaurs aren't real when we have living
dinosaurs still around and
Tommy, you don't want to go down this road, brother.
Tommy, you simply wouldn't get it.
The corrugations in your brain I haven't watched
the Netflix documentary with the dinosaurs yet but I tried the reviews I've heard the reviews
I've heard like this is a little too theatrical like how do we I watched it when I was like sick
as a dog like a month ago or whatever and it was actually epic. Oh really?
Yeah but I watched it and I was
do these things anymore but
while under the influence
terrible today by the way.
We might need a little adjustment from your mic.
Yeah, I watched like five minutes of it.
I was like, this is such bullshit.
And I just turned it off.
I think it made me believe, from the five minutes I saw it,
I think it made me believe from the five minutes I saw it, I think it made me believe
I was on the fence about it.
Like Tucker said, how do we know
all the specifics like this?
I don't know. It just seems like
giraffes are like dinosaurs,
you know? Like, they kind of look like the...
What's the one with the long neck or whatever?
Tommy, you should know this. You're a dino boy.
The Neckosaurus or whatever.
I don't even know what it's called.
Yeah, like a Bronchosaurus or something like that.
It's the one that eats from the tree or whatever tree i'm not as familiar with the herbivores max
so here's the thing is like i just look at that and i'm like yeah there was just some like older
version of a giraffe you know and they like found its femur and they're like oh it's clearly not
it's clearly not just a giraffe that evolved slightly.
This must be some prehistoric creature.
And it just genuinely looks like a giraffe.
And then you have rhinos and all these...
Yeah, but explain crocodiles and alligators, Max.
Well, I'm not saying that like crazy exotic animals
didn't exist I'm just saying like
you have a bunch of freak scientists just
being like oh like it definitely
like it's something totally different
you know there's definitely
like none of you nerds were there like you're
just making you're just finding shit
in the ground and being like that this is what it is you know that like all these uh these bones
they excavate and like you you go to like the smithsonian and you see like a crazy t-rex like
skeleton like one percent of that is real bones that they found the rest of it is like
them like synthesizing and like you know trying to fill in the blanks
it's honestly t-rexes are kind of frauds man they're scavengers spinosaurus are the goats
that's uh that's real tommy say dinosaurus t-rexes are larps bro they're scavengers
t-rexes are larps t-rexes that on a sweatshirt.
Dude, how does the dinosaur documentary
help my crypto bags go up?
That's what I want to know.
I don't know, man, but it's Morgan Freeman,
Who's the British guy that does all the uh documentaries he's so david david attenborough i think he passed away didn't
he's so good oh probably yeah the planet earth videos yeah i want to talk about ASMR. My goodness. Ross.
What were some big news headlines I missed?
Because guys, I was literally... I was ghost.
Prometheus, I promise you,
you literally missed nothing important.
You missed a bunch of bullshit is what you missed.
It's not even worth filling you in
because it's literally it's been so
shitty it's just been like it's been clown world is what it's been you've missed nothing good i'm
glad the only thing you might need to do is tail me into my micro strategy puts that's all that
you need to know right now oh you got some got some microstrategy puts, did you?
Yeah, it took them a while ago,
but you can still get in them.
What strike did you take?
That there is for our premium
I'm about to put max my portfolio i'm put maxing
oh man yeah like prometheus jump on in man jump on it look at this thing prometheus in the future
when we're all like sitting around like a bonfire after a great company barbecue you're not going to
be you're not going to want to be the one guy
who's like ah i didn't short micro strategy to zero with my boys you know you'll be like i remember
that but like you didn't actually play it you know so like you have to even you have to buy
one contract you have to take the plan because it's not enough to be there when enron goes to
zero you have to actually have made something from it to really be a part of it.
You have to help them go to zero.

You could just join Max right now.
Yeah, you're join Maxing.
Join Max while join Maxing maxing yeah there you go
yeah i want to grab the uh sound bit from the uh
we had the x space back when microstrategy was trading at like what 200
and i said one of you for shorting it and and uh mike and i was like it's gonna go to 50
bucks it was right here dude it was right here no no it's to the left it was to the left sure
yeah yeah so it was on the exact days november 18th oh yeah then the next day it fully u-turned
i remember that very vividly it's pretty funny it was kind of reminiscent to
me of when tommy was fudding soul e and then like or maybe it was soul btc or both probably
but it was it was soul ether soul btc and then like he made a video on it and then someone in
the comments on youtube was like what like we just like pumped today you just got me wrecked blah blah blah whatever and then like the next day it just nuked it started absolutely nuking it was right there bro i think i probably
still have it on saved on my chart was it soul ether soul btc tom do you remember it was soul
let me see i probably still have it on here somewhere maybe i don't where do my drawings go the charts kind of to me i mean i'm just now
looking at them i haven't ever looked at them since before i left but i mean just briefly
glancing at all that kind of looks to me like like you said i think one of you were talking
about in the morning call maybe it was you tomm, but markets are kind of just like over the games, you know, like they're just kind of, they seem like over it.
They're like, all right, you know, causing like probably more pain than good at this point with, you know, all the geopolitical stuff and everything.
I mean, I still need more time to digest everything over the weekend, but yeah.
Some might say the law of diminishing tacos.
Dude, that's one thing I miss is a good taco, man.
I had six tacos on Tuesday.
Trump did a taco and I was like, I'm making tacos tonight.
Dude, I had a fajita that was just out of this world the other day.
Oh my god, look at that sweet.
Like on the day, right here.
You fudded me into de-risking my soul.
Just nuked. Just nuked just nuked so funny man so funny
it was pretty good i we should find that person do you think we could find them somehow and like reach out and just can we get a comment i hope he didn't buy back in but i hope he did buy back in
after a comment like that couldn Couldn't wait one more day.
I don't have hate for you.
It was right here in the wick.
It literally nuked over the following basically month.
I want to have this person
on the show and I would like some
follow up from them. I would like to know what happened in the week following this comment.
Did they run a smear campaign on you?
Did they delete their account and like log off forever?
Like what happened after this comment?
Because it was just timed so perfectly.
But actually, Tommy, I'm going to get a follow up from you quick if you're cool with it. because it was just timed so perfectly.
Actually, Tommy, I'm going to get a follow-up from you quick if you're cool with it.
You had some analysis a while back.
This was probably at least a year ago at this point.
Tommy thinks we're going here.
You see that line on the chart?
Could I get a follow-up from you?
Are you still thinking that's the case or would you like to admit?
He will not be amending it.
I don't have like a super strong opinion on Solith anymore, but the fact that we have not broken down from this level,
I actually think we're going to end up going below that line.
Okay. Now things are that line. Okay.
Now things are getting interesting.
We need to check back in on our
It's either this one or a different.
just sniping the bottom. Look at that. at Max and Tucker just sniping the bottom.
And by the way, I just wanted to point out that we made these levels back when we were, like, over here.
This was, like, I've had these on my chart for like a year at least maybe longer
it was just one just one lonely day on market check board and we were like let's just mark
out levels just must have been friday yeah it must have been a friday fridays are usually an
interesting stream you know we cover a bit of the market, but
I'd rather talk about old TA,
bud stuff, and then once in a while, dinosaurs and horse burgers.
I want to say the horse burger conversation occurred on a Thursday, though.
I think we had two horse...
It wasn't just one day of horse burgers.
Do we think Jackus would agree with his level still?
But here's the? I actually think
pretty weak looking, I thought.
not in a position to outperform.
if he would or not because he's kind of bowled up
right now locally on crypto.
I want to say we asked him
I know, but i don't see how you could be bullish crypto and bearish this chart
you know yeah i mean you'd have to just be expecting bitcoin to go to like 150k
and sold and not really do much right yeah pretty much we'll follow up with them next week
i will say this is like the least amount of time i've spent looking at the soul chart
in years years like i don't even i really don't even look at it anymore
max can we get a totally irrelevant,
way too early Pepe analysis?
I think at this point, unfortunately, you just need to take care of the Binance scam wick at a minimum.
It just seems like there's just the world's heaviest object is like the gravitational pull of this wick is insane. I will say I don't really believe that people are going to get the
perfect shove. I think the perfect shove is a retest of this slot from like the bear market
range highs. I do not think you're going to get, I don't think you're going to get this level,
but I do think you're going to fill this wick.
like here, let's look at these.
I would say like right here feels like a pretty solid level.
Then I think you're going to get some big like bear market rally up into here.
So like you probably come down here everybody's going to be
like i'm buying pepe right here and then they're not going to get it and then you're going to play
this and then you're going to get a bear market rally probably even up to here and then you
probably have some scam over here and then we are going to run it back that's my gut that's my gut
i just don't at this point i've wanted to ignore this wick for so long
but i just don't think we can escape the binance cartel fraud scam that occurred
and i feel like they're gonna fill that in at this point. So I would look to scoop some up below this wick, which I
mean, it won't even, it'd be quick. Like I know we could still drop down here and it's like 25%
or whatever, but like it won't be that bad. Like I think honestly, most of the downside on
shit coins in general are probably in just given how Bitcoin dominance looks to me too.
are probably in, just given how Bitcoin dominance looks to me too.
So I actually think if majors drop here, like alts will drop,
but I actually think a lot of alts are probably going to be
holding up better than Bitcoin.
But I would just keep it simple, look for that deviation below the wick
and look for everyone to start wanting to bid the green box,
which I don't think they're gonna get um i think that andy and wolf are different because they don't have perps like
pepe and they didn't have that giant wick like here if we look at the pepe on chain chart this is
this is essentially the closest parallel to like andy, is the Pepe on-chain chart right here.
See how there's no wick, because it was just a perps wick?
This looks different, because obviously there's no 10-10 scam wick.
If you were to look at Wolf or something, Wolf actually, like, structurally diverging from Pepe.
Here, I'll go back to the Pepe chart and put Wolf below, just as an example.
They're going to trade a little differently in an environment like this,
where most, like, spot sellers are already done.
Like, if you were going to sell already, like, you've sold, okay?
Like, you've sold your shit coins
if you wanted to be out of this market doesn't matter what it is you you've sold your shit coin
um but looking at something like uh wolf right here just like the highest beta of the boys club
right they don't have trading in these conditions. They have different mechanics than
Pepe because there's no spot activity down here at all for anything, nothing. And they don't have
perps. So there's not naked short positioning occurring on Andy and Wolf, but there is on Pepe
because there's so much volume being done on perps. Look at the structural divergence that's occurring.
Look at this low right here on Pepe.
Pepe is already below that low.
This is that same pivot right here on Wolf.
Wolf is still above it, right?
You see the difference here? So there is a structural divergence occurring between an exclusive spot, on-chain spot market,
and a high beta ticker that's dominated by perps volume and short-term positioning.
positioning so i think yes like the short answer is like if pepe does come down to fill this wiccan
you can most certainly expect like something like a wolf to take a quick dive down to like double
bottom or even sweep this low but it would be so short-lived i think i think it would be if that
did happen i think it would be incredibly short-lived and they'd both start recovering from there. So yeah, it's like from down here, could Wolf drop like 30%? That's not even a big, that's right here. That's just back to range low, right?
So at this point, I don't even think some of these exclusive spot markets,
like tickers that are exclusively spot already down 90-some percent,
I don't think that they're worth overthinking at these levels.
You're not going to get naked short positioning.
You're not going to see negative funding.
You're not going to see the same mechanics that you see on majors
where no one really knows the true like global delta of bitcoin and e like there could be
10 billion in naked shorts in derivatives markets on bitcoin and e that we don't even know like the
true number of right now you don't have that on like an andy and a wolf right so trading is a lot more simple because you don't have to consider all of that.
So I really think at these levels,
like even if majors take a dive here,
you will see shit coins take a dive,
but it's not worth overthinking.
You know, it really is not.
So I would watch Pepe to fill that wick in,
but the Pepe Beta, the boys club,
they don't have the same vulnerabilities that are going to like,
you know, cause some crazy event down here.
You know, they don't have the purse markets.
They don't have the abilities to be,
you know, like naked shorted to the floor.
Like they're just, you know, naked shorted to the floor.
It's a lot simpler in these conditions.
This is a very difficult environment to be trading perps in.
Very difficult. Very choppy. Very scammy.
Not a lot of spot positioning. Short-term speculative
barring conditions. just like short-term speculative like barding conditions so i don't know that's kind of the
quick analysis it's a bit early to even be talking about all of it but i have been saying for a while
i think that like this is your it's on something like an andy or wolf like we're just looking at
wolf here i mean this to me is your, like, this is your scoop zone
down here. If, if it comes down here, right. I think this is your bottoming range for sure.
I think this is a range. Could you go back to the range low before, you know, before higher?
Absolutely. You know, this could be a 30% drop just back to range low. It's nothing.
Absolutely. You know, this could be a 30% drop just back to range low. It's nothing.
You know, but I think you are going to see some recovery later, you know, if majors bounce, but, you know, just be patient.
I don't think you overthink this level. I think you just, you just be patient, you know, that's it.
Putting Tucker back on all right
what do we want to look at boys just noticed oils back to 98 dude Dude, yeah. I think we need... I'll pull up oil. I think we need a Prometheus...
anecdote here, I believe.
Oh my god, that chart actually looks kind of insane.
I mean, first-hand experience
East and seeing what I saw. i can't be bearish on
oil um it's kind of like reminiscent and i mean obviously none of us lived through the time but
the united states during the 70s during the oil embargo um where there's like the huge lines in
the united states for oil for quite some time. And then we obviously saw what happened thereafter when inflation, you know,
re-elevated or spiked again.
And we entered into like the kind of early seventies recessionary environment.
I need to kind of think more on the thesis, but I mean, just firsthand experience,
like I said, when you see like hour long waits for gas in, you know, other countries.
And I mean, even just coming back here, I mean, I looked I was like driving in and saw gas prices and they're up like 40 cents since I left.
I just I like I can't be bearish oil.
You know, you get hour long waits in other countries and thailand's not the only country
that's going through that right now uh with the rationing i think there's like three or four other
ones obviously like the united states and china will be more resilient to that um because they're
the big power players obviously but um yeah i mean you could definitely see oil go quite a bit higher i wasn't
expecting it to um after we had the big blow off to like what 120 i think we kind of all were
discussing between one another like okay we saw oil volatility you know blow off in this big big
way uh you know makes sense to kind of be taking profits here across the board. But now I'm
kind of like reconsidering whether or not I want to be buying like a Chevron again and Exxon again,
even though I did take heavy profits on them. And, you know, those companies are, you know,
their revenue and their bottom line, you know, they do better when oil prices go up, you know,
they make more money. So, um, we'll see,
we'll see what happens, man. It's, it's like one of those things where, I mean, we got a great move
in oil, um, in the discord and in the fund. And now it's, you know, I'm just like looking at this
and like reconsidering, I'm like, do I want to be, you know, long oil again, at least personally,
um, especially with like a
Chevron, right. Cause Chevron is one of the only plants that can, uh, process the Venezuelan
crude. It's, I think they call it like, I forget like dirty crude or something like that.
Uh, so Chevron, obviously Venezuela is going to be a huge piece of the pie for United States oil
You know, less of a reliance on that.
And, you know, looking back on it is kind of obvious, you know, the plays and the chess that they were playing with going into Venezuela first and then doing what they did in Iran.
So as we move forward, I will, you know, I think being continuing to be long on just commodities in general makes
sense um i'm looking at robin hood right now i don't know if you guys have touched on robin
in a while but like i think robin hood's going to like 40 something a share probably pretty quickly
um agree yeah i'm actually really interested in buying robin hood when i think the market is bottomed
yeah yeah i um i agree actually i just actually shorted some robin hood stock um and then i'll
look to see if i want to add some options on it i need to look at like the pricing and all that but
uh to max's point too with altcoins you know it's hard to imagine that there's very many spot sellers left in altcoins.
And at this point, what does that mean for me, at least from a trader's perspective, is just looking at Bitcoin, if we're kind of looking at it from a symmetry standpoint, we had three legs up on Bitcoin.
We've now had two legs down, so, you know, probably have one more,
one more leg down at least, you know, the velocity or how big that move is going to be.
We'll obviously have to wait and see. Things are looking like they want to roll over just from like
a range dynamics perspective. I mean, like you guys said, nothing has changed since I really
left and my view and opinion is still lower as we were taking out the highs within the localized range
on bitcoin but back to you know spot sellers not really being in the market it kind of leads me to
believe like whatever move we probably have down is in alts and just across the board is probably
going to be perps driven i'd imagine um you know whether that's big people blowing out or whatever, I'll need to think more on that. But I think equities still have quite a bit left to the, you know, to move to the downside or room to the downside. I still have my Tesla shorts open, just open a Robinhood short, still short Quantum, still short DraftKings.
still short draft kings um and yeah i i just like i'm looking at equities and
indices maybe look like they could find some support here um at least looking at the es
here pretty soon coming down into like high 6300s on the es is a support region that i'm i'm going
to be looking at if you lose 6300 though you do you do have quite a bit of air down to like 59.
Gold, I'm glad I got out of my gold long.
That's kind of crazy to see.
But yeah, tech's just rolling over.
And I did see some news this morning when I was kind of scouring Twitter
about Google coming out with
something that makes the processing capabilities more efficient for AI. So I saw that RAM like
Micron, I don't know if you guys have been looking at that chart, looks like it took a big hit.
And that's kind of something, you know, that I talked about is, you know, the constant need for you know chips and ram and all this it i mean they one they
have a shelf life which you have to be aware of but two you know i mean the algorithms are only
going to become more and more and more and more efficient you know to the point to where you know
that's the real commodity is the uh are the algorithms and the actual um code itself so i think that those are going to
become more efficient um and i don't really see you know how i'm just looking at you know nvidia
and kind of these hardware tech stocks is like the fiber of the early 2000s you know we'll get
to the point to where it's going to be super efficient um and who knows
what it's probably a mega cap tech company that comes out with you know the innovation on that
front but uh yeah man like google's right there looking super super weak are you still in those
google puts by the way tuck come on am i still in them i need you to say Google like you say oils. Google. Google.
I mean, NVIDIA looks like it's about to lose major support here.
It's hard to be terrible.
Okay, that's what happened there what was their lawsuit
over i think like doom scrolling algos basically being predatory uh okay which means that like
everybody is gonna end up losing a lawsuit to something like that you'd imagine yeah netflix you know that if you've spent even an hour ever like scrolling
through reels or on x videos like you know you know it's inherently predatory
but yeah the chart looks like is apple still going up while everything's down
is apple still going up while everything's down it's barely red yeah i mean apple too
um you know what they've done versus what the other mega cap tech stocks have done is they've
bolstered their balance sheet over the past like three months and they haven't spent a dime on
hyperscale right and they're like hey we'll let you guys figure all that out.
And then once you guys prove out what needs to be proved out,
Yeah, did you see what they were going to do with Siri?
They're basically just going to let you pick your model
So they let Claude and ChadGPpt and all these guys build these models and
then they're just gonna be the distribution smart so smart honestly yeah i mean apple's doing it
yeah super super well and i mean i'm sure they're still continuing to do stock buybacks
to support their stock and i mean they're just a juggernaut, man. They just have like so much,
such a strong balance sheet and such a strong like foothold in just society in general.
You know, and they're like, we don't need to change anything.
We don't need to change anything.
Cause like nobody's coming out with like a phone that's like competitive i mean the only
thing i will say that i would like to see out of apple i don't know if you guys have seen are those
uh foldable lcd screens the androids that have like the galaxies that like fold out and it
creates like a bigger screen those are super cool saw a lot of those in Asia. Did you see those Huawei ones?
But I saw, too, a lot of Chinese cars.
MG, which is a Shanghai brand.
And those are sweet cars, man.
Like, those are sweet cars.
Like, I saw a lot of them out there.
And I actually saw, interestingly i saw a lot of them out there and i actually saw interestingly enough a lot of uh ford there was a lot of ford in thailand like ford trucks
specifically rangers um and they also had a model called the everest uh ford everest out
there in thailand that they don't have in the u.s and it is sweet man it is a cool car
i did not see any no i saw no neo cars really um i saw yeah just mg and byd were the main uh the
main two what is mg do they have a ticker i don't know. I didn't look. It's called Shanghai something or other.
It's called Mistress Group.
look at that poc down there that's crazy
what is that that is a car company that i saw out in thailand they make super cool cars
did i see ladyboys i saw a lot of ladyboys there's a lot of ladyboys
and if you ever hear the phrase hello welcome just watch out
if you ever hear this most basic human greeting wash out
yeah yeah because if they're saying hi like and they're not it's not a you know massage parlor
or whatever they'll just say they'll say sawaday but if you're walking down the street and you
hear hello welcome do not go into that establishment um and another thing i saw a lot of was a lot of
white men blowing their 401ks on young asian women it was i mean are those the are those
the passport bros that we see online dude they're everywhere i believe it every i mean like everywhere you look
it's like dude how down bad are these guys like it's crazy um i saw this one he's i think he's
like british and he had like three young asian girls with him just like and i'm sure he was just just blowing the 401k just
oh my god i think i'm too i'm i'm i'm gonna like i probably won't eat rice for the next like
three months that's nonsense bro dude i i'm i'm i'm tapped on rice i can't there was like
the last week um i think it was like the third to last day we're there i was like i need a hamburger
like i need a hamburger now that's yeah we uh i miss more when i go abroad than a hamburger yeah we went to this
one spot it was super good um super good it's like gourmet hamburgers is awesome what was what
was the best thing you had um probably crab curry um if you're a curry fan yeah it was and i mean cheap it was like 10 bucks and i mean it was just
incredible went to this uh michelin star thai restaurant and we had it's called muhong
and it's a pork belly and they cook it for like 18 hours and it literally so i mean pork belly
is just bacon but they cut it in like big chunks and they put cinnamon in it.
And I mean, I'm not even kidding you.
The meat just like disintegrates like it's like butter.
Honestly, yeah, that sounds so good.
Yeah, that sounds so good.
Padger pow on the streets, which is like a minced meat dish with a fried egg on top of the rice.
Eight is our friend's family cooked a lot for us, which was super cool.
cool definitely super cool you know being able to you know go into their house and you know sit
with them and be able to kind of like you know see how they live see how um you know they're so
they're such happy people like i mean you know they like it was the craziest thing like they
all have like uh food stands right and they like decide how much they work like they'll be like
oh yeah i worked like three four hours today i'm good you know and then like go how much they work like they'll be like oh yeah i worked like three four
hours today i'm good you know and then like go to the beach and you know chill out and it's it's not
like uh it's very different from america where you know in america everybody's like it's all about
money right where it was like i need to make as much money as possible and then over there it's
like they just want to be able to survive like like have food on the plate. And then besides that,
just enjoy life. Super, super cool to see. And definitely a big reflection for me coming back
was like, don't need to stress out about all the things that we stress out about here in America.
Just enjoy, enjoy life. It's me every time i come back from vacation
and then i have to trade shit coins and my cortisol spikes immediately
okay interestingly enough barry there was um english breakfast at a lot of the places
um english breakfast at a lot of the places there's a lot of english breakfast um there was a
lot of hot dogs in korea like they are like a big fan of hot dogs which i did not know about
like i went to have breakfast and they just had like all these hot dogs and i'm like
i'm like i'm not eating a hot dog at eight o'clock in the morning they get it bro they get it yeah they understand yeah
and uh one thing i noticed about being in europe a while back is that i was in um france it seems
there's a similar mindset to what you're describing where some guy will have like
it'll be the like niche coffee shop and he'll make like the best croissant you've ever had, man.
And he has no ambitions of like scaling that business at all.
No franchises, no second locations.
He's just there to make like the world's greatest croissant.
That's his contribution to the city, right?
And he'll work when he wants and then just
like get off at one and just go like drink and stare at the river or something like that and
i'm just like man my first thought is like i ate this croissant i'm like i could sell a million of
these croissants like this guy is just not reaching his full potential but like it's it's a different
mindset there's no uh commoditization or like it's not even like lower ambitions it's just like
more contentment like they're just yes yes you know yes and i like it's crazy go over there too
like the owner of the tattoo shop we went to she was like 53 right and i i was like
i like guessed her age and i was like you got to be like 32. And she's
like, no, I'm in my fifties. And I'm like, how is that possible? Like you like, cause they're
just so happy. Like you look up their average life expectancy there. So they eat, it's not
one because the, um, they aren't like, they don't,'t they just like live like they just eat what they
want they do what they want like they don't so like they get a lot of like heart disease
um you know and they aren't like working out a lot um no so thailand they don't smoke a lot
but like if you go into the korean airport and you go into like the smoker section, I mean,
it's like wall to wall people.
they're chain smoking cigarettes in Korea.
So they drink a lot of like,
they drink and then they also drink Kratom.
what do they usually drink?
Like when you go out to dinner what are they
are they drinking like hard liquor or is it like beer no it's all it's all it's only beer
yeah do they drink uh bintang over there so they drink it's called sing ha uh and then chang those
are the two uh thai thai beers and everybody drinks those and it was like it was like a three
pack of 40s and yes they sold a three pack of 40s
oh sing tao you mean like is it with a t no so sing tao is chinese yeah so you said they drink
that uh chang and and sing ha uh yeah sing ha and chang but they sold a three pack of 40s and i
noticed that was like the common purchase over there was they would go buy the three pack of forties and then they'd go sit out front of the seven 11 because
seven 11's out there are like convenience stores. They're not gas stations and they're everywhere.
Like everywhere. There's a seven 11 on every block. Like it's crazy. And they just, and they
buy the three pack of forties and it was like, it was like $4. It was super cheap. And they just and they buy the three pack of 40s and it was like it was like four dollars
it was super cheap and they just sit out front and they just drink and then they'd go like sing
karaoke and it was it was awesome were you the tallest guy there by like a foot by far i got i
mean people were constantly staring at me like i mean they're like who is this like what the heck um yeah just tall white guy walking
around yeah but it was a big shock so in phuket which is the island down south um there are russians
everywhere like everywhere um it's been infested by russians um but then you go to like bangkok and
some of the other places we went and like bangkok and some of the other
places we went and we were probably like some of the we're like some of the only white people there
how tall am i i'm like six two so the average height in thailand for men is like 5'7". Women, it's like 5'2". Average life expectancy for men is 74, 75.
What's the life expectancy in the U.S.?
Probably a little bit higher.
Let me see what chat GPT says. What about life expectancy in the same. I think it's like 70. No, I think it's lower. It's like 70-something. Yeah. Let me see what chat GPT says.
What about life expectancy in the U.S.?
So pretty slightly lower.
One to two years lower on average, it looks like.
Frame logging started to happen before you left for your trip right my my yeah yeah oh yeah
time is not that messed up that i i've been accurately recalling that yeah no i was i
noticed it i mean just based off of the conversations i've been hearing this morning
seems like it's gotten even more popular uh which i thought it was at its peak
before i left i would say like the story itself like that has faded but the saying has not
yeah so basically the the best part has stayed
yeah and over there so how many massages did i get i got like six massages it's amazing it's great
yeah what was what was so amazing about it um just these little give us every detail
and they just walk do not spare a single detail so an hour-long massage out there is like
So an hour long massage out there is like 12 bucks.
like $120 for like an hour long massage.
I'm going to go get a massage.
When I was honeymooning in,
my wife really wanted a massage and so i go down to
the we're at like this really nice hotel and i look what do you think a massage was priced at
for an hour just a regular massage for an hour it for perspective we're in capri so it's like
it's usually around 100 bucks i don't i would
have said a lot actually i don't know uh i don't know capri necessarily but it's probably gonna
be priced i would think relatively similar to chinkater
expensive then it's gotta be expensive it's 200 bucks it was like 250 euros oh yeah and i was like
i love you but i'm not buying you this massage that's crazy man
oh dude and you go like i go to like after going to thailand and coming back here i'm like comparing
everything and you know from like a pricing perspective i'm like over here now i'm like
that's overpriced well you're probably going to be saying that a whole lot more here after
after this energy crisis laughing through the uh through the tears are you talking about oil or like everything
electrical energy crisis now well for one i'm pretty sure the middle east is a big exporter
of helium as well which yes they are apparently very important for semiconductor production too
so very very important you know i can't wait to see i can't wait to see how high the
prices for my everyday items go i love being uh i love being an everyday chud
it's funny because like i can't believe my grocery bills and then i go to costco and it's like i get
three or four weeks of meat for like 120 bucks it's amazing
you're buying only ground beef or you're buying like some cuts and stuff i buy uh like just this uh this week i bought two six packs of like chicken or like
cut chicken cutlets that is um which are about like a pound a bag i bought three things of ground
beef i bought uh i bought a fish to freeze and eventually cook and then i bought like this
rana lasagna with some household items and my bill was 120 bucks but if you were to freeze and eventually cook. Then I bought this Rana lasagna with some household items.
If you were to try and do that
at your everyday grocery store,
probably two or three times that.
Tommy, you just need to go down
to your local butcher and buy half a cow.
I don't even know where our local butcher is.
I don't even know where our local butcher is. Huh?
I don't even know where our local butcher is.
Well, you'll have meat for like a year.
I don't have enough room in my freezer for that.
into your place and they're like,
walk into your living room and they're like why is there a deep freezer
you're like i bought a cow
tommy you get three dollars 16 ounce rib eyes okay just just trust me
so just looking here why how are defense stocks selling off i'm just now
what how how those been going down
i just think everything is selling off realistically realistically yeah i think um i kind of speculated on this a few times but i think um there's like this dynamic
obviously where i'm sure people borrowed against their mag 7 wealth because they didn't want to
have to sell it and now that the mag 7 is starting to sell off people are just going to get flat
yeah i think david levinson was talking about that i don't know if he's still coming up on
the spaces or whatever but he was up there uh i think it was either yesterday or Wednesday, and the usual suspects bullied him off.
I have these people muted.
How dare you let them up here and talk?
So a hack at Costco, Tommy uh if you ever need chicken wings chicken wings i used to do that but my wife doesn't like them anymore so
yeah mine doesn't like yeah it's a shame my wife doesn't like uh any bones in any meat what yeah bones and blood she can't enjoy a delicious bone-in ribeye
no she knows the meat comes from somewhere that has a bone though right oh yeah trust me we were walking down uh we were walking down the uh fish market and she like they have
like all the tanks of the lobsters and the fish and all that shit right i'm just picturing that
afro man song like you know i'm talking about yeah yeah and she's like oh my god like this is
so sad and i'm like like where do you think the meat comes from like it just magically appears on your plate like
man nvidia looks cooked here you pull up nvidia yeah
now we need to look at the bitcoin nvidia pair just for fun oh man she's going it's finally
going tommy it's about damn time it's finally letting Nothing like eight months arranging just to break down.
You know what it looks like is a clean spark.
See when it was grinding in that range with the highs,
and then it just capitulated.
Bitcoin NVIDIA pair chart, Tucker?
Looks kind of bad locally.
Dude, it just looks like all of our
Bitcoin is the meme coin of TradFi.
Hmm. hmm maybe it's trying to bottom
I'm going to stop you right there
this should give us more history
that makes it look a little bit better This should give us more history. Yeah, there we go.
That makes it look a little bit better.
But at the same time, not really.
I always took you for a level-headed guy, Dorito.
You're just bullposting in the comments right now.
I don't care if it nukes.
to a period of six months of no bull.
Do you guys have anything you want to talk about?
Or we can talk about horse burgers or I don't know, whatever you want. up with the horse burger thing what did what did i miss there what you wouldn't
get it that's the thing you you wouldn't get it i miss the horse burger thing okay let me ask you
this question oh god prometheus if if it was totally legal
and clean and safe to eat
and you were at a restaurant
yeah I've heard horse meat stinky but
that's bad intel is it lean and high protein well i knew i knew that i knew because i mean
obviously horses are you know use so what if i were to tell you right now that horse meat per ounce has like an extra 20 to 25 percent higher protein
than beef i believe i believe that because there was a old ufc fighter um oh my gosh what was his
name and he was in an interview and they asked him this is back when there was like the gray area on
steroids and mma um and they asked him
they're like how did you get so big and he said horse meat no way you have to find that i will
send you to see that clip of course he said burgers with this meat oh it's uh ovary or it's
alistar ovaryem. Really? Yeah.
Yeah, let me... Dude, someone in the comments just nailed that.
Winning Evil 14 just knew that before you even said it.
Someone said, oh, is it Wabi?
Did you say this is for burgers?
He was eating burgers? No no what was he eating them in
oh yeah just horse meat i know i mean all i'm saying is like
we at like america's really fat and like we're we're boxed into eating like high fat low protein
burgers and i'm just like what if we just swap that out for like a lean alternative
with higher protein like probably fix a lot of our obesity issues you know just a simple swap
you know dude that was something too that was crazy over there um is like there's people that
are overweight but nobody's like obese obese um and first thing i saw when i got to lax was i was just like oh wow i
forgot like those people existed now this is this is an interesting mix here this is something we
actually haven't talked about too much on the show up until this point but if you really wanted
to turbocharge your your protein intake i mean just throw a couple slices of lean kangaroo bacon on top of the horse burger.
why cow and pig like fat animals,
on a national stage, but no one is.
of protein. Higher protein,
These are the conversations that as a country Higher protein, lower fat than beef. And I mean, it's...
And see, these are the conversations that, as a country, we're failing to have that could really get us on the right track.
You know, and I think everybody would agree with me.
Nobody would disagree in the world.
So, like, I'll kind of go back to you, Prometheus, if you don't mind.
Like, you're kind of in the hot seat here. If you were at a restaurant and you could have a bacon cheeseburger
or you could have a horse burger with bacon from kangaroo on it,
you could put some cheese on there too.
You could put cheese on there, cheddar American, provolone,
Would you have the traditional bacon cheeseburger from america
or the exotic lean high protein alternative horse patty with kangaroo bacon with cheese of your
choice kangaroo bacon i mean don't overthink it just got in the knee jerk what do you
i have a hot reaction all right let's tommy's hot take first because I need to think this is a
you don't need bacon on a burger
ever strive to have triple bypass
that's unpatriotic of you man don't ever strive to have triple bypass surgery, do you?
That's unpatriotic of you, man. I agree it's very
unpatriotic of me, but I don't think that
a burger needs bacon on it.
I think it's an overrated concept.
just want to call both you out. You've both completely
evaded my line of questioning.
I'll eat it. I'll eat it.
Prometheus, you chickened out.
Tommy, you just got on a soapbox complaining about how it's overrated.
I'd have a regular bacon cheeseburger over a horse burger with kangaroo bacon on it.
Although, kangaroo bacon with some brown meat.
It would just be kangaroo meat because kangaroos don't have fat.
It's like a great appetizer for my burger.
But that's not even – you're evading the premise again.
The premise is would you just try it?
If you had the option side by side on a menu.
Thank you. I don't it. Thank you, Tucker.
These two chickens up here won't answer my question. I'm literally saying.
I don't want to eat horse.
This is the same discussion
I'm just disappointed with your answer.
You live in Denver. You're very answer. That's all. I'm just disappointed. It's fine. You live in Denver.
I think it's un-American for you to not want to try the exotic foreign meat concoction.
Bison burgers are phenomenal.
You don't know that for sure.
I don't know that for sure
because I have not consumed horse.
You're jumping to dangerous conclusions right now.
You're going to get someone hurt. That's right now. You're going to get someone hurt. That's the
problem. You're going to get someone hurt.
You're going to make somebody capitulate
their beef bag. I'm just saying,
Why do we draw the line there?
That is a fair question, actually.
you could argue if it's not an eagle,
bison could very well be the
That's a native animal that
natives and also the first settlers here in the U.S.
Have you had a bison ribeye, Max?
I definitely would recommend it.
See, I think bison's okay.
I don't think bison's... I don't think Bison's...
How about a Butter's Burger?
Those are fighting words.
No, you're not joking about eating cats.
Butter's Burger. How about a Satoshi Burger, bro? No, we're not joking about eating cats. Tommy's cat's name is Butters. So a little...
How about a Satoshi burger, bro?
He's been guessing me off lately.
If it came down to a Tommy and there was an apocalypse and you were stuck in your house
Because I promise he doesn't have the same loyalty
that you have towards him
he'd wake up and he's just taking a chunk out of the quad
I think we need to end it here
I think with that I think we need to end it here. I think that
market has come to a conclusion.
which animals are fair game?
We draw it at domesticated animals.
Dude, a kangaroo is not a domesticated animal.
I'm pretty sure they have been domesticated before, though.
No, but I'm saying cats, dogs, horses.
Like, that's why we don't.
I would say that horses are not i mean okay they're trainable
i wouldn't definitely domesticated yes but they're more they're not like the same level of
domestication as like a like a dog or i mean i guess maybe some people you know like they really
bond with their horses but like they live outside no No one has a horse sleeping in their bed with them.
This definitely got way out of hand really quickly.
That's a good spot to wrap the show up, guys.
We hope you enjoyed the stream today.
Some alpha and lots and lots of, I think, engaging and entertaining discussion as well.
If you did enjoy Market Check today or at any point throughout the week, a reminder that we host this show throughout the week.

before that. Um, also make sure to tune in for market talk hosted by King Wabi and through the
because Bitcoin account on X. So that's where you can find those spaces, guys. Stay following and subscribe to both so you can be notified,

do we see maybe some more tacos and an attempted crush on volatility next week but thanks again
for tuning in everybody we hope you have a great rest of your Friday, a great weekend. And of course,
