Thank you so much for watching.
We're just going to give it another minute or two.
I don't know if you guys can hear me.
Can you guys hear me?
Thumbs up if you can hear me.
What's up?
Yo, what up?
What's up?
Yeah, I can hear you fine.
All right, perfect.
We'll just give it another minute or two.
I think we're trying to get one or two more people on stage and then we'll get started.
And I think just like that.
And I think just like that we lost the interstellar music.
Yeah, that was hip.
That was dope.
Every time I hear it, I always think interstellar and I think I'm Matthew McConaughey traveling through space.
Every single time.
All right.
All right.
All right.
Just because I hate the awkward silences while Jiro works on getting a couple more people on stage.
You know, I think I want to thank everybody for coming.
I want to thank everybody who's on stage.
You know, we spent months building out this activation and I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
So I want to kind of like introduce the partners a little bit.
Talk about what they're doing, what they're doing in terms of 90 CC.
And then also, you know, I invite the partners to kind of share what what their stop is in terms of in terms of where the stop is on the treasure hunt, what it is.
And, you know, we're going to be updating the 90 CC site on Sunday with everything so that it's written down and a source of truth somewhere.
But, you know, I figured I'm really excited.
I'm flying out to New York tonight.
It's not the I hope we get a chance to hang out maybe this weekend before all the crazy stuff starts next week.
But I feel like I don't know, I'm fired up for this.
So I think it'll be a lot of fun.
So with that, you know, I want to start off by talking to Helena over at Salsa.
And I mean, I'll do a quick intro of how we got introduced.
So Helena was introduced to me from Patricio, the founder of Poop, while we were doing our our Basel activation for iteration two.
And she was describing to me her app.
And I was like, I was like, wow, this is I think this app is awesome.
And, you know, I don't want to steal the thunder out of out of what she's working on.
So I'll let her describe it herself.
But literally from the first conversation we had and, you know, I was super, super busy.
So I was like, I told her, I was like, I only have like five minutes to talk about this.
But I like less exchange information, because as soon as this week's done, I want to talk to you about what you're doing and how cool it is and how we can integrate it into the things that we're building.
So with that, I'll give the floor to you, Helena, to describe a little bit about what you're working on at Salsa.
Thank you so much, Ji, and thanks for that kind introduction.
I really remember that activation in Miami so well.
And actually, I had had a ticket for like the day after, but Patricia brought me to the initial like, I guess, like kickoff or like the first event.
And then I got a T-shirt with a really early number on that 36 and my skill was amazing.
So it was such a cool experience.
I was really impressed by everything you guys pulled off there in terms of like live minting, live printing, live production.
So, yeah, that day is definitely strong in my memory.
But I'm so excited to be here today with all of you.
And I'm even more excited for this amazing activation in New York.
I think what you guys have planned here from the 90CC side is really pushing kind of the boundaries of what people have done in terms of physical and digital connection using poops and using that kind of on-chain data to add context to like who you're meeting in the real world, which is super amazing.
And, yeah, I'll talk a bit more about what we're doing at Salsa.
So Salsa is a mobile app.
It's a messaging app.
And that's all about adding social context to messaging.
When we think about Web3 native messaging and why it's actually interesting to message from one wallet to another, it's really not the fact that you can just like message a random zero something number.
That's not even that exciting, but what's so exciting is that suddenly you have all of this context around who a person is and why you might be interested in connecting with them.
So in Salsa, and you can download the app today, it's live on App Store and on Android as well.
You can click on someone's profile and pull off their profile and then see immediately like what events have you both been to?
Did you both go to the activation in Miami, for example?
Did you both go to some party at NFT NYC last year and who have you met in the space?
And so that's basically what we do is we believe in this kind of new era of connection between people and building relationships using on-chain data.
Yeah, and I think that's awesome, right?
And, you know, I pinned actually the tweet at the top, just talking about the link to download Salsa for those that are interested.
And, you know, I think what I saw immediately out of the gate was kind of like building on top of that social graph.
And I know we're building at 90cc, so it becomes really interesting when you talk about composability and what that looks like once you can start, you know, bringing that onto other networks, onto other platforms and building out on it.
And, you know, I think, you know, we've been talking about this now for a few weeks in terms of, you know, the channel that you've built internally at Salsa.
And I don't know if you want to talk about that, Helena, about what you guys are doing and what we're doing together for the NFT NYC activation.
Yes, 100%.
So basically what we've done on Salsa is we've created a group chat for the treasure hunt, and it will be kind of the, like, best place to get alpha every day to connect with other people who are hunting.
And at the same time as well, for everyone who's there, you can do what I just explained.
You can click on their profile and then, you know, figure out that there might be a new friend around the corner or someone where there's, like, a business opportunity because you can see all of that context around, like, why would you even be interested in talking further with them?
So within that group chat, you can all join in, you know, talk about where, which location you're heading to, what pin you've just collected, share pictures, and we'll be dropping alpha in there starting kind of today and tomorrow about the treasure hunt.
And then you can take it further.
Then you can have a look at who the people are who collected your pull-up, for example, your iteration one, two or three holder.
You can then send those people a DM and go, like, hey, you know, you collected my pull-up yesterday at, let's say, the salsa stop, which I'll announce in a second, too, which one that is.
And then you can actually start chatting.
So it makes connecting with each other easier using that social graph.
And you guys should all join the group.
It's actually live since yesterday or earlier today.
No, yesterday.
And there's already a lot of chatter in there.
NRG is obviously in there talking, and we'll be sharing some locations and also some more info around the prices in there.
So that's super cool.
The other thing that we're doing at Salsa is we have the most amazing stop at the treasure hunt.
Okay, sorry.
There's other amazing stops, but this one just feels so on brand.
So our stop is Los Tacos.
And, you know, our name Salsa actually was, like, an inspiration across, like, the sauce and the dance and, like, those coming together.
So we're so excited to host you guys at that spot.
And every day, the first 10 people who come there will get a special salsa taco as well from us.
And I can't wait to meet many people there and share a great taco together.
Yeah, that's awesome.
And then also, you know, I want to highlight that at all the stops, all the partner stops,
pins that are designed by Snuffy will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until we run out of them.
And the pins are so fucking fire.
I was just on the phone with Snuffy a couple hours ago, and we were, like, talking about how awesome the designs are and how awesome they came out.
And I also want to give credit, like, big credit to Snuffy on when we were filming content for this when I was in New York a few weeks ago.
I hadn't been to Los Tacos, number one.
And Snuffy was like, dude, these are the best tacos in New York.
And then, like, there were two or three people in the crew that were like, yeah, dude, like, we have to go try it.
So we went and tried it.
The tacos are fucking the bomb.
They're so good.
So anybody that stops by there, for sure grab a taco.
They're delicious.
And, you know.
You know what?
There's actually, like, a fun fact.
This is random.
But my co-founder, Grace, who is also on the Twitter space here, she actually took me to Los Tacos in kind of the first month that we were working together.
And she was saying exactly the same.
Like, there is this taco spot that we have to try out in New York.
And every time we spend time together, because I live in London, she's in San Francisco.
And when we meet up, we do a mix of work together and also do one or two, like, nice things.
And we went there.
And it was insane.
Absolutely amazing.
I'm so excited to go back.
Yeah, so, yeah, it's great.
The tacos there are awesome.
But I also want to make sure people don't fill up at any one stop, because we're going to have tons of stops, tons of food, tons of good time.
So it's going to be a lot of fun.
So thanks, Helena.
I'm going to leave that pinned up there.
And if we have time at the end, we'll come back and talk about this.
But I want to kick it over to Jadid over at Metaversal.
And, you know, I know you were one of the first people we started talking to about this when we started formulating this.
And I really love how you've been really delving into it and diving in and really leaning into New York, right?
Because that was one of the things that I really wanted to do with all of this.
And so I'd love for you to talk about, one, a little bit about Metaversal for those that don't know.
And then also what you guys are doing, because I think what you guys are doing is a lot of fun, and it's going to be a blast.
Yeah, happy to dive into it.
I'm actually so excited that we finally get to talk about some of this stuff.
Feels like we've been planning this for ages.
But, yeah, a quick summary of Metaversal.
So Metaversal is really a holding company that has two main elements.
One is a creative studio where we work together with artists and creators and really help to bring their IP in and create sort of amazing NFT projects out of it.
And the other is the investment team, which I lead.
And we're always on the lookout for iconic NFTs that we think will stand the test of time.
Chromie Squiggles, as an example.
Metaversal, and also the groundbreaking technology that powers them.
So that's a little bit about Metaversal and what we do.
And when we really started speaking to Gee about the treasure hunt, the idea that really caught us was the fact that this is sort of like a love letter to New York, reaching back to Gee's own history in New York.
And we started kind of delving into the history of New York and the cultural events that have happened and come out of the city.
And it also speaks to some of the creative talent in our studio and creative teams.
And we really honed in on two different aspects.
One is in the 1960s, there were these New York happenings that used to take place across New York, which was sort of like a cross-discipline cultural event where a lot of people would come and kind of display their talents.
But there would be an element of audience participation in them as well.
And the next was really the New York being the epicenter of hip-hop, right?
I mean, hip-hop came out of the Bronx and just grew to be this mainstream phenomena with its own fashion, its own language, its own music.
We really wanted to sort of double-click on that.
And I'll be happy to share more about what we've got cooking in that respect later on in the space.
Awesome. Yeah, I mean, I really love how you delved into it.
Do we have the location? Are we ready to share the location yet?
I'm not...
No, the location is going to come last, but I can definitely drop some alpha.
Happy to do it now or later, whatever you prefer.
Yeah, let's get some alpha. I want to sprinkle some alpha throughout the hour.
So, yeah, let's do that and then take it from there.
Okay, cool.
So, firstly, we're super pumped to be the first activation that everyone's going to experience right after people are sort of collecting their...
lining up for their hats on the bodega, outside the bodega.
And so, essentially, delving into the hip-hop theme, we're going to have some break dancers entertaining the crowd.
And then people will be given a location for our activation, right?
And at this activation, we have such an amazing lineup of talent.
Really, I don't think that this kind of cross-section of Web3 and Web3 hip-hop talent has been brought together in the same space.
Firstly, we will have textile customizations by none other than Gossamer.
And I'd really like to kind of talk a little bit more about their talents on the fashion side of things.
They have an NFT project called TigerBob.
So, we will also have on the turntables probably one of the greatest hip-hop DJs that have ever come out of New York,
a gentleman called Static Selector.
He's worked with everybody from the Wu-Tang Clan to Nas and really everybody in the space.
He's also running his own radio channel from which he's broken some of the most major artists into the mainstream.
And then last but not least, we will have a very special guest.
And I see him in the audience today.
Shout out to Spotty Wi-Fi who will be coming and spitting some bars for us at this activation.
So, really a lot of cool stuff happening.
I really can't wait to see you guys there.
That's awesome.
And I'm going to throw this out to Spotty.
You better have your hair with the colors, the cheetah colors that I saw you with last time.
So, I will personally be very disappointed if I see you show up without that.
But I'm very much looking forward to it.
That entire activation seems like a ton of fun.
And I know we spent so much time on figuring this out and making sure it's cool and fun and, you know, really like a testament to New York.
So, I think that that's going to be a lot of fun.
And, you know, we'll come back in a few minutes.
But I want to kick it over to Aaron from DGods and, you know, talk a little bit.
I mean, I think a lot of people in the space know, you know, what DGods is about.
But, you know, for you guys, congrats on the successful bridge over to Ethereum last week.
You guys are crushing it.
It's always fun to chat with your team.
And, I mean, I remember I reached out.
I started reaching out in earnest, especially after what you guys did in NFT Paris.
And just like that energy, like it just reminded me so much of when I was younger.
And, you know, those like I spent my entire 20s in New York City.
And a lot of, you know, those clips and those videos, those parties just reminded me so much of spending my 20s in New York.
And I was reaching out and I'm glad we were able to figure something out.
You know, I'd love for you to talk a little bit about what you guys are doing.
I know you guys are doing your own treasure hunt and you guys have a ton of activations going as well.
So, love to hear about what you guys are working on.
Yeah, man.
Thank you so much for having us.
It's been great talking to you guys these last few weeks.
Super pumped.
To be a part of what you guys are doing in New York, too.
And, I mean, as you know, it kind of just worked out perfectly.
We're doing a lot of really fun stuff next week.
You guys are doing fun stuff next week.
So, it just makes sense.
And I guess I can probably drop some alpha, actually.
Because we're dropping our DNYC website tonight, which will have all the info about all the different activations.
But, yeah, as you mentioned, we do have a treasure hunt.
It's going to be a pretty big treasure hunt open to the public.
So, you know, don't have to hold our NFTs to take part.
And we are working together on some stuff there.
And so, I guess I'll leave that up to you.
I can tell them what we're doing together.
Or, if you guys want, we can let it be a surprise for when the treasure hunt drops.
But I know I'm super pumped about it.
I don't know how much alpha you want to leak right now, though.
I think let's talk about the Thursday, Friday morning activations, right?
Because I know you guys were working on that.
The water break, right, is what you guys have been doing.
And I guess what is the concept behind that?
And, you know, what can people expect, like, at the water break stop?
Yeah, absolutely.
So, the scavenger hunt or the treasure hunt that we're doing is citywide.
So, there's not, like, a certain location that everybody's going to be at once.
So, we're going to have, like, what we're calling our water break, which is going to be kind of the home base in the morning.
So, people will come check in, drink some water.
We've got a really awesome sponsor there.
And, really, what we're looking at that as is just, like, the start of the day.
So, everybody getting up in the morning, grabbing their coffee, getting their day started.
A lot of our treasure hunt items will take people, I mean, across the city.
So, hopefully, you get a great mix of having fun with, you know, other DGens, but then also seeing some sites and seeing some cool things in New York, especially if it's your first time visiting.
But that will kind of be our home base, and that will be set up about a block away from the public hotel.
So, everything that we're doing with DGods and Youth and DNYC kind of centered around the public hotel.
And then the treasure hunt, obviously, is citywide.
And so, that will be pretty fun.
I think, you know, hopefully we have a lot of people from y'all's community come as well.
I think once we start announcing the actual activation we have together, then people will get a little more excited there.
But, yeah, pumped to just kind of have a casual event, meet a bunch of people, drink some water, stay hydrated.
And then, you know, go do some fun challenges across the city.
Yeah, that's awesome.
And, you know, I just posted, I forgot to post it at the top of the space, but I posted the sign-up for the bodega takeover that we're doing.
You know, it's free to sign up.
All you have to do is sign up with Token Proof.
And they've been an awesome team to work with as well, as I'm sure a lot of people in the space can attest to.
I feel like they're becoming, they're quickly becoming the gold standard of token-gated solutions.
So, shout-out to Fonz.
I think he's in the crowd.
Yeah, shout-out to Fonz, who's out there crushing it with his team.
But, yeah, I can't wait to share and see, like, all the stuff that you guys are working on over at D-God's and, you know, hopefully grab a slice of pizza with Frank at some point.
Is it true that that's the only thing he eats is pizza?
Dude, yes.
It's actually insane.
So, I went and lived in L.A. for four or so months while we were launching Utes.
So, I got to see all this firsthand, guys.
I promise it's so true.
It's like bread and cheese.
One time, I remember, I woke up in the morning.
It was like 8 a.m.
And there was someone ringing the doorbell.
Well, it was actually a delivery person, a Pizza Hut delivery person, bringing us a pizza at 8 a.m. bright and early for the Breakfast of Champions.
So, yeah, we're probably going to have a pizza party or something.
So, that'll be pretty fun.
We've got stuff going on all week.
And, honestly, guys, like, the best part is, like, most of it's just open for everybody.
So, I would love everybody, you know, the audience, if you're going to be in New York, come by to some of our events.
Come meet some people.
Come meet the team, the holders.
We'd love to have everybody by.
And I'm just super pumped.
Last year when I went to New York, like, probably one of my favorite trips I've ever been on in my entire life.
And I had been to New York a few times before.
Really, what I loved about it, and as you kind of mentioned this earlier, is, like, that feeling.
It's like you feel, like, young.
You feel like you're with all your friends.
You're having a good time.
You're shooting this shit.
And I think, like, that for us as a brand is really what we're chasing is the idea that, you know, at the end of the day here in Web3, like, we're all chaining JPEGs and everything.
But really what we're here for is personal connection, you know, making true friends and building relationships.
And so with us, that's what we're going to try to do in New York and every event in the future as well.
Super pumped to have you guys involved.
And it's been great working with you.
And you brought up a really good point there that, you know, and I want to say this about everybody on this stage is I think, and everybody in this audience, for that matter, is I think we all understand, especially where we are in the depths of a bear market, is, like, we're all here because we love the technology.
We love the culture.
We love the friendships that we've built.
We're not, like, the people that are sticking around, it's funny because I see people, like, you know, we see people leave every few weeks or whatever, publicly leave the space.
And, you know, it's funny because I'm like, yep, I'll see you in a few years or a few months when times get better.
But I think one of the really cool things that I think I'm really excited about for this NFT NYC is, like, these are, like, we're the hardcore fans, right?
We're the people that are sticking around through the bad times.
Like, it's easy to come to a big activation or a big conference when times are good because everybody wants to party.
But I think to come to New York and to party and to hang out with your friends and, you know, I've been in a bunch of spaces this week where everybody's, like, fired up and, like, they're, like, looking forward to, like, what parties they're going to go to, what things they're going to do.
So it's been really cool.
And working with all the partners on stage, it's been awesome as well in terms of knowing that we're all aligned, right, and have the same vision of the future.
So, you know, with that, I want to kick it over to the homie, fucking Snuffy, dude.
One, you know, I want to just – I just want to give you flowers because I think Snuffy is one of the most talented people I've run into in the last few years.
His artwork is incredible.
He's an amazing tattoo artist.
He is an amazing human being as well.
And I approached him really early on when we first were just thinking about this.
And I was, like, all right, like, how – you know, what are, like, little things that we can give away at the different stops of the treasure hunt?
And I was, like, you know what?
Like, I think Snuffy makes some really fucking cool shit.
What if we had Snuffy make a couple pins that were really focused on New York but just seen through, like, Snuffy's eye and lens?
He's also somebody that has grown up in New York, has spent so much time.
I feel like New York is a huge part of his DNA.
And, you know, he was, like, down to do it right away.
And this is in the middle of him.
He just started his gallery show at Palo Gallery on Bond Street.
And he still took time out to help on this.
And it was awesome working with him on this.
And, you know, Snuffy, like, I just, you know, like, thanks for coming on board and being part of this.
And anything I say from here forward is just downhill from that introduction.
So I think we're done.
I love it.
I love it.
That's awesome.
Yeah, no, it's an honor to work with you.
I always, since I met you, I knew that you were somebody that I like because you're genuine and kind.
And so I appreciate being tapped to do this.
And it's an honor.
And it's really fun.
Actually, I'm wearing all of the flair right now on Bond Street.
And everyone, I was at Los Tacos having lunch before this call.
And this, like, old dude was, like, came right up to me and started eating his taco, like, in front of my face.
And I was, like, step off, dude.
And he's, like, where'd you get that hat?
And I was, like, it's not out yet.
But, and I gave him the 9DCC website.
I don't know if you're made up, but I'll tell you.
Listen, I'm not, I don't bullshit.
There's no time for that.
That really happened.
His name was Harvey.
He was, he's probably right behind me.
I don't know.
He was, like, 100 years old.
And somehow I got my, like, quesadillas before him.
And he got pissed.
And then just, like, really just decided.
The whole place was pretty empty.
And he decided to eat, like, right in front of me.
So I sparked up a conversation.
And he was, like.
Anyway, so Harvey wants.
I told him in a week he was going to see, like, a lot of these hats outside on Los Tacos number one.
So, actually, it was really funny.
I told him, it's, like, he might need, like, and this is, this is kind of interesting.
I was, like, you might need, like, some crypto to, like, buy the hat.
But I'm not sure.
Is that true?
The hats are free.
So the hats are whoever, whoever signs up on Token Proof.
It's, you're coming up first come, first serve to the bodega.
And you can just come and claim your hat until we run out of them.
If Harvey can come down to our activation and do some confessions, he might get one.
He might get one for free.
You never know.
I'm actually.
Hook us up with Harvey.
I'm going to find him.
He's got to be here.
Like, I'm going to.
I told him about.
I told him about my show, which is right.
It's right around the corner from Los Tacos at 30 Bond.
And so next time I see him, I'm going to actually tell him to come through.
But he was pissed about the quesadilla.
I'm not going to lie to you.
The way I'm picturing Harvey right now is kind of, like, blue from old school.
Where, like, he's going to, like, he's going to outlast us all.
And he's going to be like, come on, you fuckers.
And, like, just really lead the group.
But that's kind of how I'm picturing Harvey right now.
He really is kind of, like, blue from old school.
Anyway, that was my morning.
I'm wearing the fucking IT3 hat right now.
It looks dope.
It's one of the most high-quality hats that I own.
And I own a lot of nice hats.
So I was really proud to get it.
Is there something I'm supposed to be, like, discussing right now?
Well, I want you to talk about, one, your gallery.
And then I think this is, we're adding this as a last-second addition, is your, the pizza party.
Oh, right.
So the gallery.
So I'm represented by a gallery.
I'm a, I guess I should call it, like, a wall artist.
I'm a fine artist.
I make art that goes on your wall.
And so I'm represented by Palo Gallery, which is on 30 Bond Street.
And I have a solo show just coincidentally going on.
It's from the 31st of last week till May 7th.
So it'll be fully on and live during this entire treasure hunt.
And it is one of the stops.
So I chose, it was hard to choose, like, a favorite pin.
But one of my, one of my favorite pins is going to be available while spies last at the gallery.
And my entire solo show is there.
So there's a few sculptures.
And I create these light boxes.
They're glass and metal and hand-drawn art.
It's all sort of surreal and obscure.
So it's better for you to just come and check it out.
And so, you know, I, I, we, we took videos of, of your art and, you know, we took photos.
But I just want to tell anybody that's, that's in that neighborhood, make sure you stop by there.
The, the pictures definitely don't do it justice.
It is so beautiful to see in person.
It's, it's really incredible.
They're, they're beautiful pieces.
And Snuffy himself is an amazing artist.
And, you know, whether it's tattoo, fine art, you know, the stuff that he's done in the NFT
space, I think you're an amazing creative genius.
So it's been a pleasure to work with you.
I also want to, I also want to throw this out there because I got, when, when we were
shooting, because basically what we did when I was in New York a few weeks ago, Snuffy and
I spent the day walking around eating a bunch of food.
So like if NFTs don't work out for us enough, I think we could have like our own mini like
parts unknown, right.
And like a food, a little food podcast or blog, blog, whatever it is.
And we can just go around and eat munchies around New York.
Cause I thought that was a lot of fun.
But where was I going to go with this?
I just, I just drew a blank.
I know where you're going to go with it.
I can pick up where you left off.
What I can say is we're both on WME, so we could totally make the food show happen.
And I mean, I don't even think we need to let, you know, I don't think we're going to
fail, but we can do it in tandem.
They're not, uh, neither, they can exist, you know, harmonious.
Um, but picking up where you left off, does it have to do with tattooing?
Yes, it does.
I think it does.
I think it does.
I was caught off guard by this.
Uh, I'm going to let G say it, but we were eating a banana pudding and, uh, he popped
the question.
I popped the question and I was actually kind of nervous because I knew you've been super
And the last thing I wanted to do was be like, yo snuff, like, what do you think of this?
But, um, you know, I know there's always a long wait list.
You've tattooed so many famous people throughout your career.
And I was like, you know what?
Like, could you throw that in as a prize?
And, uh, snuff, what was, what was your answer?
Well, of course I said, yes.
I mean, this is like the question that this is, this is a question that, um, plagues all
tattooers.
I think you, you go to Los Tacos number one, you go to the club, you're on an airplane
and you say you're, you know, someone asked you to do, oh, you're a tattooer.
They're like, oh my God.
And they want, you know, a snake tattoo or this tattoo.
So it's like the question that, uh, that plagues tattooers for eternity.
But for me, uh, it coming from you meant a lot.
So I was like, okay, let's do it.
So I'm with it.
What was the condition though?
Oh, it was from my flash sheet.
It has to be from my flash sheet.
So could you, for people that don't know, could you explain what the flash sheet is?
So in short, the way to get tattooed by me is you have to write me a story and then I
make art based on your story.
And that's why my wait list is really long because, you know, it's just, it takes me a
long time to actually think about things and make store, make artwork that's never been
done before.
And so actually when I, another note is when I tattoo something on you or whomever, I never
repeat the tattoo.
So sometimes it gets like harder the longer I do it.
Cause I'm like, oh, I did like this motif.
I can't do it again.
But anyway, um, I created, uh, I've only done two flash sheets in my entire career and a flash
sheet is basically artwork.
That's been pre-designed.
It's like, it's work that I'm, it's like a page of art that I've already made and you
can't, I mean, you just, you don't change it.
It's just, if you like, if it, if it speaks to you, if one of the things on the page speaks
to you, then, you know, we, we do that.
So, um, I have a flash sheet on, uh, on my Instagram, but maybe there's like a more, um, efficient
way to like, get it out to the community or the people involved.
I don't know.
I'll let you, let me know.
We'll figure, yeah, we'll figure that out after the fact, but I mean, I know I'm really appreciative.
I actually, I remember I was, I was talking to somebody, uh, who actually, uh, might be
in this space right now.
And, you know, I was telling him the prize pool and he was like, ah, I'm not really interested
I'm like, well, what if we had like a tattoo from Snuffy and they're like, I will, I will
do the scavenger hunt for, for the tattoo.
I'm like, Don, like, let's make it happen.
So it's, it's awesome.
And an honor that you said yes.
Well, I mean, I'm honored to do it.
It's not, it's like a, it's a, it's a rare trait, I guess, for me to tattoo somebody is rare.
The wait list is about two years and like, you know, I live in New York, so it's not
cheap either.
So, um, it's my, it's my honor to, uh, to contribute that.
And I'm also, I'm excited to see who, like what the, the, the consensus of the favorite
Cause, um, some of the, some people, sorry, go ahead.
Yeah, no, I, I totally agree.
I, I'm, I'm looking forward to it.
Cause I feel like, um, the pins are there like, they have attitude, right?
They have like a lot of New York attitude, which I love.
So it's going to be interesting to see who's what, who is, what's favorite, which one is
whose favorite?
What's your favorite?
I, I mean, I, I don't want to spill the beans.
I'm going to say, I'm going to pick mine at the end.
I'm going to pick mine at the end, but I, you know what?
I think the pizza box, the one that I already teased, that might be my favorite one.
All right.
I, yeah, but I like them all.
I'm just, I like them all.
I was just listening to this and thinking that we should drop a poll, um, in the treasure
hunt chat towards the end where we all can vote on who's like, who has a favorite pin
and what the favorite is for everyone.
I love it.
It's a cool idea.
I'm definitely down to do that.
Yeah, because we have polling functionality and we should do that.
Boom, let's do it.
I'm excited to see them all.
I love it.
I love it.
With, with that, I want to go over to BBC.
Um, I, I feel like Billionaires Boys Club needs no introduction.
They are, you know, one of the OGs of streetwear, you know, founded by, by Nego and, and Pharrell.
And I, you know, the first time I was introduced to the team, I was super excited because, you
know, you guys are just have driven so much culture, uh, worldwide for so long.
And just one, the fact that you guys have taken an interest in web three, uh, and two
that you've been thoughtful about it, uh, was, was really incredible.
And then, and then three that you were interested in, in participating in the treasure hunt was
really awesome.
So, you know, Greg, I, I know you're on there.
It's like, like I, I'd love for, for those in the crowd that aren't familiar with maybe
what you guys are doing in the web three space.
I love it.
You can talk a little bit about what you're doing and then go into what you guys are doing
for your activation and NFT NYC.
For sure, man.
Thank you for the, for the intro and just thanks for having us.
First off, man, you guys making this happen.
Um, I think you nailed it, G, but the fact that this kind of can still go down and what
people call a bear market, that's just super dope to me.
Um, like everyone here is really that hardcore group that's going to keep this thing going
while people are still kind of sleeping on it.
So I just think that's super dope.
So kudos to you guys and everyone in here.
First off.
Um, yeah, man.
I'm, I'm Greg to come from the BBC team.
Hopefully you guys have, you know, a bit of background on BBC, but, uh, G kind of went
over that with Pharrell and Nego and, um, just being a staple name and street wear for, for
20 years now.
Um, but just going back to like the Genesis of the brand and Pharrell, especially back in
the two thousands, like always wearing things that people always felt like was ahead of his
Like making things that, you know, people felt was really cool, but not many people
could really pull off in their wardrobes.
And Pharrell has always been about that even beyond fashion.
Like I think a lot of people know him today for, you know, LV before the happy days, before
BBC, even, you know, back to the producer, OG Pharrell days, the Neptunes, Star Trek, NLD,
um, that kind of nineties, two thousands era of dope hip hop music.
He's a music pioneer in his own right.
Um, there was this IG post I saw just this morning, I think it was on Complex or something.
And they're saying that in 2004, 43% of the songs on the radio were all produced by Pharrell.
So even if you didn't know Pharrell, like you knew that sound.
Um, and even today, he's still one of the most sought after producers.
Um, and so that's like truly timeless to me.
So fast forward back to BBC 20 years, it's our 20th anniversary as a brand this year,
which is crazy to me.
Um, and we're at this point where it's like, we want to continue to pay homage to that rich
history and DNA that makes this brand so special to a lot of people already.
Um, but also kind of continue to push the boundaries and move the needle in that Pharrell
Um, and that kind of takes us to BB3 Labs, which is essentially our Web3 venture, but
we're kind of, we're kind of showcasing it as this streetwear brand for the future.
Um, and I always thought it was super dope looking at what G and 9DCC have been doing,
because I feel like we're attacking this same kind of new problem in space from these different
starting points, right?
Like we come from this traditional streetwear space and we're trying to understand how we
can live in this Web3 space where, you know, G money is really like this true Web3 NFT native
that is understanding how to take this stuff into the physical space.
So it's cool to kind of like understand that we're meeting in the middle and how we can
almost get inspired by each other.
Obviously I'll get into it, but a lot of the stuff that we're doing is obviously inspired
by what, um, 9DCC has already kind of done in the past.
So, you know, I think what's cool for us looking at this streetwear brand for the future is that
it's really open-ended, right?
Um, we look at it at this way where it's not really tied down to one thing and just the
same way that the Web3 space is evolving every day, it kind of allows us to just have fun,
Other industries, streetwear, there's almost these rules in place, you know, with these
spaces that have been around for so long.
But Web3, it's like, we make the rules, we break the rules and we just get to have fun
with it, which has been really dope for me too as a creative, just getting to play in this
space and meet some really cool people who are really pushing this space forward.
So, you know, for us, it's more about paying attention to the space and the tech, using
the tools that are kind of made available to us.
And the idea for us is like, use this existing community and platform and hopefully pave the
way for more creative use cases.
Because the way I see it, it's not so much about tools being ready and available more than
it is the use cases that, you know, people like G and us are coming up with to
show people how to take this thing from technology to application.
So, yeah, that's like a super broad perspective on BB3 as a brand.
But yeah, we're doing a couple of things at NFT NYC.
Obviously, we're partnering with 9DCC and going to participate in the scavenger hunt, which
is super exciting.
We're stoked for people to get in the store and check out what we've got going on over
there, claim the PO app, get the dope snuffy pin, you know, and we're also going to take
an opportunity to gather everyone at the flagship store on Friday the 14th.
So we'll be sharing a bit more information about this soon.
But essentially, we're, you know, just trying to get people together in this session we call
club talks, which are essentially these panels that we run at the BBC flagships in New York
and Miami.
And we just gather a bunch of, you know, thought leaders in the space to have conversations
and really just drop knowledge, especially in a space like NFT NYC.
I think it's so important to always go back to, like, talking about these things and discussing
these things like we're doing here, too.
And I think that's how we push the conversation forward and also just kind of educate people
about what's going on and how we're thinking about it.
So we're going to be doing a fun panel.
There's going to be some music, some drinks going to be going on on Friday.
Everyone will kind of pregame for their Friday plans.
I think it's going to be a good time.
And we'll have Gia on the panel.
We have Siege Vega from a brand called Vega.
They focus on a lot of really dope AR experiences.
And then we have another panelist and host that are TVA.
But really, we're just trying to create this theme of, like, exploring this intersection
between physical and digital from all these different spaces, right?
And so I think it's just going to be a really, really dope conversation.
But, yeah, that's it.
Yeah, no, that's awesome.
And I think it's always this was one of the initial conversations that we had was probably
one of the better conversations I had from, you know, legacy brands, understanding the
space and embracing the tech.
So I'm super excited to see what you guys are working on.
Can you talk a little bit about the chip product that you're going to be that you introduced?
It's in the pinned tweet at the top.
So we just kind of dropped this thread today about our own kind of line of NFC enabled product.
Shout out IYK.
They power all this stuff for us, too.
They're super dope.
And I love how they're thinking about it.
But essentially, you know, we take a lot of notes and inspiration from the stuff that
that you guys have done, obviously, but kind of taking it into our own space with our own
spin on the IP and the mechanics.
So you'll see up at the top, we have this kind of technical goods line that we're releasing.
And these teas will all kind of have this digital twin to claim as a baseline standard.
And the idea is that we get a little creative about around what's possible with NFC chip
So specifically for these teas, they'll all be able to distribute what we're calling the
Mizuna installer CD-ROM.
And these are going to be 1155 tokens that are minted directly from the NFC chip.
And they're going to come in, you know, eight different colors, materials and varying rarities.
So the idea is like, you know, building on that socialized mechanic where people are trying
to tap and claim each other's pro apps.
There's also this fun, almost like gachapon type vibe, right, where you're it's you're
rolling the dice to try to get that super rare one.
And so what we've done, too, with the help of IYK is that we're device locking, right?
So every device can only claim from each to you once, right?
And that really forces people to expand their network and not just sit on their couch and,
you know, tap their po app a million times and try to get these rare discs.
They're really going to go out and meet people, right?
Not just at NFT NYC.
We're going to let this live in the wild for a little bit, right?
So someone gets a big head start at NFT NYC.
But let's say you go home and you got this massive circle back home and you got all the
homies and big family and all these people are tapping your tea.
All of a sudden now you maybe catch up in this leaderboard that we're going to run with
these prizes.
So I'm just trying to see, you know, how we can structure things and flow certain engagements
in the right way.
So that's kind of what we're looking at.
And, you know, definitely thinking of these CD-ROMs in the long term, too, right, as an
important key to some of our future plans is the quick alpha that I'll drop there.
But yeah, man, that's kind of what we're thinking.
Hopefully get these in as many hands as possible and kind of see people have fun with it is
That's awesome.
I'm really looking forward to it.
And yeah, I'm looking forward to getting a shirt myself and checking it out and messing
around with it.
And with that, last but not least, I want to I want to chat with Vlad and with Stacy from
the Adi team, the the three stripes team, the web the web studio.
I'm really excited.
I know we've been having a lot of conversations, obviously, for, you know, we've been chatting.
We have that relationship now for over two years now at this point, and I'm excited about
what you're doing.
I don't want to necessarily spend time on focusing on the AltaVet because I think that that is
going to be an amazing event.
I plan on on showing up there and showing support.
But I want to talk about specifically what we're working on together with with the treasure
And also, you know, one, I guess another question I have is how is the event in Berlin that you
guys just had a few weeks ago?
And, you know, how do you how excited are you for for New York and having some of that
energy flow over to the States?
Yeah, absolutely.
Thanks for having us, first of all, super honored to be up here with so many awesome speakers.
Yeah, Berlin was great.
It was our first community only event.
It was voted in by the community in our discord.
And we we had a really great time.
I think, you know, we revealed a little bit of alpha, we've revealed our trailer and the
whole alt by Adidas.
But taking that over to New York, you know, we as you mentioned, we do have an event at
our flagship store on Fifth Ave.
Our mantra has always been really community first and making sure that we are focusing
on our community.
And that's what we want to do.
We want to show up for that community in New York.
So our stop on the scavenger hunt will be in the Soho Adidas Originals flagship store,
which is just such a good fit for you, G, like, you know, being the fashionista that
Soho is such a good fit.
And I think that original store is a really good fit.
So if anyone comes down to the store, we were activating from the second day and the
third day of the treasure hunt.
And you can you can come in if you grab some sambas and some gazelles.
You can also get them customized for free.
So it's going to be really, yeah, really exciting.
And, you know, I'm I'm really looking forward to it.
And I want to I want to commend you guys, too, and on something that I think you guys
have done and been pioneering that I don't think ever gets enough credit is the launch
of the community council that you guys launched a few months ago and, you know, elevating members
of the community to kind of help be, let's say, the voices of the community to to help
you guys with the roadmap and decision making and stuff like that.
I if you could, could you give some color on what that experience has been like from
the Adi side?
And, you know, I guess anything else you have around that?
Absolutely.
And yeah, thanks for having us, G, really two years working with you and thrilled to
be part of this treasure hunt as well.
But yeah, and the community council, we actually are now two months since since we actually
established it.
And it has been incredible.
We have so many members actually of the community and of the council currently in the space.
And I'm really thrilled to see them as well.
But what what was my biggest takeaway is building with the community is so much more fun and
so much more rewarding.
And on top of that, just really helping to shape the products which we are launching.
And you'll see that as well in the next couple of days as we are unveiling more and more of
the Oats by Adidas story.
There will be a lot of that influenced actually by the community council, a lot of how are we
rolling it out?
What are we rolling out and what is going to happen?
And they have been very instrumental in advising, but also in shaping the future of the project.
And that's that's what's really incredible about Web3 and being part of that space.
So yeah, really, really excited about that one.
And yeah, excited as well about the treasure hunt and having people join us in the in the
original flagship and Spring Street, get some sambas, get some customization there for
It will be a lot of fun.
Yeah, and you know, I didn't mean to glance over that, but I don't know if anybody's
been if you've been to the Adidas original store.
And so it's exactly awesome.
And I've been there while they've had personalization activations going.
And it really is a really cool experience because they're they're actually doing the stuff
right there in front of you in the store.
And I just think overall, it's going to be awesome, especially, you know, in a world where I think
we're moving towards mass customization, mass mass personalization.
You know, I think stuff like this is really going to start picking up steam.
So it's cool to see you guys able to activate around that very quickly and like kind of like in very targeted
manners for being such a huge org.
So I'm definitely, definitely excited for what you guys are doing there.
And if people are are part of the alts community, make sure you go and check out Adi's party.
I actually just burned my phase twos into alts a couple hours ago.
So to make sure I'm I'm eligible.
So, yeah, it should be exciting.
I'm looking forward to from the stuff that I've seen on the roadmap.
It's it's really exciting stuff.
So looking forward to to your next phase of what you guys are working on, you know.
So, yeah, I think on the on the on the mass customizations point, I think, you know,
what would be really cool is if we could get all of the fashion people involved in this
treasure hunt together and just have a conversation about all of the exciting things that they're
working on, because there's so many diverse perspectives here just in this room.
I see Gossamer on the on the event list.
You know, they're a focal point of our activation and they focus on highly customized knitwear,
which is basically slow fashion, which is what they're focusing on.
You know, high end item items of clothing, which have a lot of love put into them.
It'll be cool to get them on a panel with the Addy crew and Billionaire's Boys Club and
90CC as well, just to have a whole conversation about where fashion is headed.
Yeah, for sure.
I mean, I'd love to figure that out probably a week or two after after NFT on my seat.
We could definitely have that combo offline, Jadid, and figure figure out how that that works.
But yeah, I want to I want to thank everybody for coming on.
Make sure to sign up on token proof.
You know, the our treasure hunt itself is going to have 11 stops.
You know, make sure when you when you go to each stop while supplies last, you'll be able
to get pins that were created by by Snuffy.
Make sure you collect the PO apps at each spot and, you know, check the website this Sunday
where we're going to have updated info so that people can start making their plans of
what events they want to go to.
So just just for for reference for people that are planning on participating is you're going
to have to go to seven out of the 11 stops.
So, you know, you can figure out, you know, places that you want to hit up together and
whatnot so you can make your plans.
Yeah, I'm looking really forward to it.
And and obviously, you know, Snowfro was gracious enough to to to give us an unminted
chromie squiggle.
So for those in the audience keeping track at home, like because of the EV that you could
get a very rare squiggle, it is worth significantly more than a floor squiggle because you have
that that possibility of hitting it big.
So I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
I'm excited if I wasn't automatically disqualified for being on the 90cc team.
And I know I speak for a couple of people in the team as well where, you know, they're
like, oh, can I get my two weeks notice right now so I can participate in the treasure hunt?
But it should be a lot of fun.
And I think part of it, too, is we want to make sure that you go out there and you connect
and you meet people.
And like scan people's PO apps because, you know, we're also going to be doing a World
Connect event.
So if anybody sees anybody with 90cc product out there, go out there, make a new friend,
make a new connection, connect with them on Salsa afterwards, because it's a you know,
it's it'd be a great way to to chat with them without having to exchange numbers and whatnot.
So I'm looking forward to it.
I'm so happy that everybody on stage, I know you're all super, super busy taking an hour
out of your day to come in and chat about this.
I'm really excited.
And, you know, I think we're going to we're going to have a I'm probably a little bit biased
here, but I think this would be the best end of TNYC yet.
But like, I'm totally unbiased in that opinion.
But thanks, everybody.
Thanks for coming on.
And, you know, if you guys see me next week, make sure to to get a po up.
Thanks for having us.
This is awesome.
This was great.
Thank you guys so much.
Wait, I'm disqualified from entering the treasure hunt.
You know what, Stuff?
You got Harvey.
You got Harvey, buddy.
You got Harvey.
Stuff magically wins the tattoo.
Like, what?
This is awesome.
I'm excited for next week.
I'm excited to meet everybody if I haven't and see everyone if I have.
Yeah, same.
