Thank you. so so so Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, hello everybody and welcome to Attempts at Governance, episode 219.
All about Kusama and parachains today.
And I want to welcome back Limo Carlos Jose and James to the show and
also to our beautiful audience. Limo looks like he's vibing, they said. That's a message from
Funky who's listening while he slacks off. Nice to have you all here. We're going to start with
the state of the treasury. Always looking marginally good when it comes to Kusama. We are up this week 1,442 KSM, which is worth $22,500 at today's market value. And that brings the Treasury to 360,648 KSM. That's the state of the Treasury. I'll now throw it over to Limo for referenda gone by.
Thank you very much, Jay. And I'll continue by saying it's not the same without the state of
the phone call on Monday. Right. We've got one Kusama ref this week. It is ref 504 by Paradox
on the big spend the trek. This was approved and it is for 6,000 KSM to fund Bounty 25, which is the public RPC bounty.
We spoke about that last week.
Then we've got a couple from Bifrost Polkadot, both on the white-listened collar track.
The first one, Ref 110, was approved.
This is the Polkadot Subsidy Repayment Step 3 Transfer Dot Back to the Polkadot Treasury.
I believe they initially got 500, 500 000 and have sent back 550 000
this is pretty pretty nice 10 there for the treasury um then we've got ref 111 this was
approved as well this re-executes slpx failed orders then we've got a bunch from hydration
the first one is ref 44 on the route track this was approved and strange audio from me apparently do you need to fix that strange
audio from you i found to you mr kylos what does it sound like kyle's
like an echo oh oh all right really get into it for a second there you want to keep going
okay so we've got how's the sound now everybody say um what'd you have for breakfast limo
uh i had a an english muffin with chorizo cheese and an egg yeah yeah that's pretty good i think
it should be better well i'm high quality i think it's better now yeah yeah yeah
okay so we'll continue from the hydration one yeah this hydration uh ref 44 on the fruit track
this is approved and it adds tbtc to the supply and borrow also known as the money market
then we've got ref 45 on the treasure track this was approved this is a one month top up for the
polka dot hydration farms notably it removes i think it's kilt and v dot from the farms um On the Treasurer track, this was approved. This is a one-month top-up for the Polkadot Hydration Farms.
Notably, it removes, I think, it's Kilt and VDOT from the farms.
Kilt because it's unsure about what the token feature is with this potential move to base for some of it.
And VDOT got removed because of the incoming GigaDOT stuff.
Then we've got RootRef46.
This was approved.
This is withdrawing the Protocol Earn Liquidity VDOT from the Omnipool
and the DOT stake rewards from the Polkadot peer proxy
to the treasury in preparation for GigaDOT as well.
Then we have Ref47 on the treasury track.
This was approved and this is the HDX buyback with treasury H2O tranche free.
And finally from Hydration Ref48, this was approved and this creates otc orders for native
snowbridge eef and snowbridge wrapped wrapped stick to eef um i believe they're like 50% full
already they might have been filled by the time we're doing this um then we have zeitgeist ref 72
this was approved and it is runtime upgrade to version 0.6.0 which implements i'm gonna say this
wrong combinatorial betting futaki which is pretty interesting um then we have basilisk ref 19 on the
general admin track this was approved removes an offline color from the invulnerables list
and finally karura ref 122 this was approved and
it deploys some contracts for ui version 2.0 and that i think are all the refs combined uh oh where
did you go everybody okay this show is coming together nice thanks very much limo yeah that
zeitgeist update with futarki is interesting because Zeitgeist, remember, does owe the Polkadot treasury a huge implementation of Futarki.
We spoke about that on House of Shame maybe a month or two ago.
But it looks like they are forging ahead and hopefully have something to show very soon.
All right, we're going to start with an update on KSM RFP number one.
with an update on KSM RFP number one. We launched this last week on the show and
this is, you know, you've heard about it a lot before, this is to implement some
contracts that will give us the ability to have shielded transfers which will
offer some privacy on the Kusama network. Just so you know, let me just get the, let me get it up here. If you want to submit,
here you go. You just go to this form right here and you can submit to claim the prize
and to work with the supervisors. And that's going to be very cool. But I thought today
what we would do is just launch one more, okay,
just one more RFP.
I'm a little addicted to RFPs now, and I really want to create –
I really want to have an RFP launcher created, okay?
So this is a simple decentralized app that you can connect your wallet to.
It will present you with questions, you know, what's the prize,
who are the supervisors, all these blank
fields, checks your wallet that it has the correct balance, and then bingo, bango, you click a few
buttons, you sign a few transactions, and you've launched an RFP, which will then be voted on by
KSM holders. And if they think it's a good idea, if they think the price is right, and it's a
product that they actually want then
well we get on we get going with the whole rfp process and i think this is a just a good approach
to move these rfps forward now this is occurring to me now that i may not have enough ksm in my
account to actually launch this on the show but we can review the uh the scope of this rfp together
the scope of this RFP together, which I'm pulling up right now.
God, who prepped this show?
Here we go.
Okay, so I put it already in the chat.
Can you guys see it already in the chat there?
Let me just pop it in again so you can check it out.
So this is what it looks like so far.
Okay, so here we go. This is
RFP number two, and we are looking for another supervisor here. Limo, you
agreed to come on board with this one, but we do need one more.
And Jose, I think you said you were going to do it with us. Is that still true?
Yes, sure. That's in Kusama, right? This is in Kusama. This is going to be in Kusama.
You're going to be on a bounty,
and you're going to just be responsible
for making sure the milestones are met,
paying out child bounties when they are.
And does that make...
That seems good to you?
Yeah, yeah.
I'll just give you a Kusama address.
Yeah, we'll pop that in the chat.
Okay, so let's just take a quick look at this.
Don't want to spend too much time on this,
but working with some people this weekend to kind of scope this out, looks like a $10,000 prize will be right for this. $1,000 for the finder's fee and $1,000 for the supervisors to split up. Seems good?
to the treasury by bounty curators here's the timeline um so launching it today uh submission
deadline is two weeks after bounty funding and project completion by the end of may so we can
start launching rfps by the end of may uh here's the project scope we want a dab that connects to
popular substrate wallets it's uh it's a browser-based mobile ready ui hosted on ipfs
with a user manual, so a little button
that tells people how this freaking works, what they're doing.
The UI presents fields for RFP proposers to fill in to create the RFP, and also checks
the balance for launching treasure track referendum and submitting decision deposit.
So checks to make sure they have enough KSM to do all of that. So here are the fields that we want the UI to present
the user. So funding fields, so one for prize pool, finder's fee, supervisor's fee.
Here's the addresses of the supervisors. Adding a timeline for when the funds expire. This is
important because if there's no submissions, we kind of want the curators bound at least to a social contract that they return the funds and the date of the project completion.
Some text fields to describe the scope and then milestones, you know, like an add milestone
button so you can add context for the milestone and the amount.
And it should also check that the milestones add up to the prize pool amount.
I think that makes sense.
All right.
Okay, so basically this RFP launcher will create a one-shot bounty on Treasure Track with curators and scheduled payments.
See the example. But we were just discussing before the show, before it does that, it should also create the multi-sig.
Because this is necessary before you create the one-shot.
Is that right, Limo?
Yeah, so you need to know what your curator address is.
So it can be one of two things.
It can just be a normal multisig, or you can have the option
to make a pure proxy from that multisig, etc.,
depending on what people want to do.
It would be good to probably step on just a multisig.
And then if like mouse done two or something,
we can add the pure proxy capabilities.
Sounds good.
Kind of the way I'm seeing this is, you know,
we just make this for Kusama.
We just make something that works
and then we can always improve on it.
Maybe even on Polkadot by moving it over
to the Polkadot network,
maybe adding some features such as that but i think for
like a refined scope it's like three people on a curator set who are basically just their only
job is to distribute funds likely no reason to change that curator set ever just a multi-sig will
probably work out all right um and then the rfp launcher launcher at the end should generate
markdown ready text for subsquare and PokAssembly.
So the proposer can go and paste it for the context on PokAssembly.
Maybe in the future, it can actually go and add this context to PokAssembly SubSquare.
I've just never seen that happen before, so I don't want to put it in the scope here in case it adds $70,000 to the budget.
All right. All code published under MIT, open source license,
publicly accessible repositories,
updates shared via Pokassembly and SubSquare.
This is just like the other RFP.
And developer and user documentation.
First milestone, $3,000, an app that you can connect a wallet to,
the RFP creation flow, total USD converted to KSM plus 25%.
So that's the amount of KSM it will claim.
And have this app validated by supervisors, us three on the call here.
Milestone two is a chopsticks demonstration of the on-train chain
treasurer track ref.
The app's ability to check for balance for ref and launch decision deposit.
I think we should also add in here now creation of multisig.
Scheduler calc... The ability to calculate the schedule for filling the bounty.
So there's a bit of a tricky situation there.
Yeah, Limo, what do you think about that?
On number three, you should add, like, multi-sig deposit as well.
Because on Kusama, it's, like, really cheap.
But if we ever move this to Polkadot, it'd be something good to have.
So, like, on Polkadot, it's, like, 20-dot, right?
Okay, so...
It's, like, AppChexB checks balance for ref launch and decision deposit.
So it's app checks balance for multisig reserve deposit,
something like that, ref launch and decision deposit.
Ref launch and decision deposit.
Well, maybe I'll...
And then I'll put creation multisig under that.
Yeah? Yep. Okay, and then integration'll put creation multisync under that. Yeah?
Okay, and then integration to the UI.
And then milestone four, so this is the final UI design,
user manual included in the UI,
demonstration of RFP launching capabilities,
so let's actually see it work, and documentation.
That finishes it all up, makes a working product.
That's for the final $4,000.
In total, this is a four-week
project. Based on the people I was talking to, this should be very doable. $10,000 budget is a
little generous. The time is a little generous. This is something that a PBA graduate could pick
up. There is already somebody interested, but the the whole thing about the rfp is people get to tender for it um but yeah limo um there's also the the um the part where they have
to create like the child bounty and pay out whoever um is supposed to be paid out right
oh do you want to include that in this app? So it depends, right? So like right now, there's two products that I'm aware of
that basically handle existing created bounties.
So there's the bounty manager,
which has a reflip right now on Polkadot.
Then there is bounties.usepappy.app, right?
So there's those two that do
that part right so it's after something's created
they handle like the child
bounty creation and stuff so it's
probably reuse that somehow and not
redo it from scratch
but yeah it would
be good to somehow wrap this all into
one thing maybe but it could
be like a separate thing
it could be we make this first and then there's like a second uh rfp to update it or combine those
two things yeah or like i was saying maybe an rfp on polka dot to bring it over to polka dot and
combine it something like that yeah yeah okay i think that makes sense maybe they should just
maybe they should just make this simple application,
mostly for our use here and for the use of the audience of AAG,
and then we can launch another RFP to add it to other UIs.
I mean, because these other UIs you just said
are pretty underdeveloped as well,
and timelines can be divergent and all that.
And maybe this UI will be even sexier than them,
and they should combine with this.
You never know.
Okay, that's pretty good.
But maybe we'll just launch this in the post-show
because I don't think I have enough KSM.
My KSM's a little wrapped up right now on RFP number one.
I mean, I have loads of KSM,
just not on the account on this computer.
Giga KSM whale.
But okay, that's pretty good.
So we'll launch this, yeah, in an hour
after the show.
Does everybody feel satisfied with this?
Yeah? It's cool.
Alright, nice stuff.
Alright, well then, we're gonna get into the show
Oh, yeah. Did want to say real quick
on RFP number one.
I was sad to see that Saxonburg came out on the nayside here, Lima.
It is what it is.
I think his votes are going away soon with the Stevie change.
But I don't know.
I can't really tease out the reasoning here.
The reasons seem a little bit confusing.
Something like trying to combine it with the Web3 foundations thing,
talking about research. It doesn't really make sense. You know,
it kind of made me think that or just reflect on the fact that, you know,
actually putting up this bounty and this privacy based bounty and stuff,
it's a, you know, it's a little bold, you know,
it's a little brave to do.
And there are some people who maybe are a little uneasy about even voting eye
on something like this for what it could be down the line.
I've even heard that some extreme interpretations say even if you hold KSM,
this could put you at risk, which I think is a little extreme.
But yeah, maybe that explains it, but I don't know.
I can't really quite pick out the reasoning here, but that's all good.
Looks like we're, looks like we're healthy anyway with 200,
almost 200,000 KSM in favor,
but we haven't seen the dark entity coming here yet.
I would assume they'd be kind of, kind of up for this, but now I've just said that they're probably going to vote me in the next 20 minutes.
Well, I just want to be clear to them that we completely kept Limo
and any Chaos DAO-related people off of this bounty.
And as much as it pains me to be up here week after week
having to work together with Limo and other people in Chaos DAO,
I personally don't like him at all.
I don't like that group at all.
But, yeah. They may not be paying attention. in chaos dow i personally don't like him at all uh don't like that group at all but um yeah
they may not be paying attention that didn't near the uh the other ref i put in the other
week so maybe we've like made up in the shadows or something you know that's good finally taking
them over all right all good okay so some other kusama refs that are up today uh increase max
validators to 600.
It's actually 700.
Whoever put that ref, the title is wrong.
It's the 700.
So just copy the previous one.
Because didn't we move up to 600 on Polkadot recently?
So we're like moving.
Let me do.
As far as I know, this, we did the 600 one and now it's seven I think the context of the ref does say 700 yeah the titles is six yeah my subsquire is
there crashed so it's brilliant that's what we want you there's no Google meet
in the description here what what's going on here with my...
It's kind of funny. I just had trouble...
Go ahead, buddy.
The main thing this does, so Sankey Sam, there's like 1,000 validators, right?
So this isn't setting those max validators.
This is setting the parallel chain validators.
So this actually increases the number of usable cars to 140.
It's currently 120.
So it's pretty cool.
Pretty nice, pretty nice change.
I just need to make sure I have the call
meeting the Google thing here.
What am I saying?
Making sure I have the Google Meet link here.
So there we go.
Is it Daniel wanting to join?
I think he's just posted a new root ref, I think.
Daniel with a new root ref?
I think it was him.
Let me check.
Five minutes ago.
Yeah, he's got a new one just only the ideal bulk proportion so
remember last time it was like it was like the inflation and this change
so this time it's just the um the ideal bulk proportion okay well here's the link to to join
the call right here oh we also have paul baronron in the chat as well. Paul, we love your
show. And he's been covering the TikTok situation pretty closely. We've been learning a lot from
following him. He reminds us that the TikTok on Polkadot is coming. The decision right now is on
Saturday. We'll have to see if it gets pushed back or what happens there. But the final decision on
TikTok is coming up this Saturday.
Thank you very much for being here, Paul.
Nice to have you.
So we do have – anyway, hopefully Daniel can join the show soon.
But you were referencing ref 507 on the root track there.
This is reducing inflation and setting the core time sales target.
But perhaps he's come in with just the core time sales?
Yeah, ref 512.
So in like layman's terms, at least how I, because I'm like learning a bit more about
this, like all the different time periods of sales and stuff.
So this is, instead of requiring 100% of cars to be sold to then affect the next auction's
price, I think this sets it to only 40% of them need to be sold to affect the next auction's
price or something like that. Yeah. so what ref is this new one what number five one two five one two
because we have daniel on the show now uh this one two votes so far looking a lot better daniel
welcome back to the show what's what's the thinking here yeah so based on the on the feedback that the previous ref got, like maybe it did have like too many things at the same time.
So let's just start step by step with the simplest thing here,
which seems like this controversial one,
which is adjusting the ideal bulk proportion
to a target that seems
more realistic, that reflects like the current demand for core time.
And as an example I gave on Kusama Direction, it's kind of the way I kind of see it is like,
imagine you have a country that just found a big deposit of oil.
Maybe the most sensible thing maybe is not to immediately
just try to dump all this oil in the market,
but like hold a bit and sell regularly
based on knowing the demand that there is for it.
So this is more or less what this parameter would adjust.
And hopefully this will combine with the increased demand
that elastic scaling will bring.
Maybe we'll bring this only source of burn for the KSM
because it was mentioned also in previous proposal
that core time sales, like compared
to the burn that comes from the treasury is like negligible, but also a reminder that
we don't burn KSM anymore because before we were burning KSM, that then went to Kappa Sigma Mu part of it but since maybe a month or so ago
we don't burn any more KSM and our only mechanism for burn is the core time sales.
Okay so basically the idea here though is you're contracting supply in order to create a healthier market is the idea here.
That's correct. And of course, on our side, at least as a builder, keep trying to drive adoption,
bring new projects and stuff like that, which is kind of like the main important thing that we should all be focusing on. Hopefully later, maybe the inflation can be revisited,
maybe in a different proposal.
I think Will Paradox has a different approach.
We discussed a bit about it,
and I think we can support him on his idea but I guess it's something he will
he will bring later in a different kind of proposal. All right great well thanks very much
Daniel let's see how this goes this is do you have to wait for your other one to clear the
route track before this will go up is it just one at a time on Kusama as well? Yeah I believe so
some as well hey yeah I believe so so yeah we'll wait a few hours until the
other one goes out and then place the deposit and let it in their decision
yeah perfect all right good stuff welcome Yannick to the show sir how are
you doing today oh oh I'm doing fine.
Nice to have you.
Thanks for having me.
We have a few spicy ones to discuss here.
This EJGD account that we spoke about last week, looking to remove Gabe from the fellowship.
It was confirmed that this wouldn't remove him from the Polkadot Fellowship.
It's kind of more of a symbolic removal.
This account, this has almost 68 percent
support has now suggested to force transfer some ksm that for some reason in the past was set aside
400 ksm that was set aside for the invarch project project. I guess for the Yudaldau somehow.
I need a refresher on why this happened.
But to force transfer it back to the Kusama treasury.
This is pretty extreme.
Force transfers usually don't do so well in the vote here.
But yeah, this is what they've done.
Limo, I'm going to turn to you.
What have you heard about this?
I mean, I don't know who this person is um it's obviously the guy that did that um the graffiti ref right he wanted to like graffiti the vatican or something if i remember correctly
um he obviously has been ben or something by invatch or just has some beef of them I suppose I don't think we should
force transfer I don't think it's a good idea it's about it yeah I probably wouldn't put eye on this
one yeah it's a it's a little weird I wonder what the vendetta is um by this account here now i i think
in the past they did misappropriate misappropriate funds meant for the util dow
but some of the guys at chaos dow put pressure on and somehow managed to get those funds returned
um but yeah um this this user is very mad And what I still don't understand is,
has this user themselves delivered on the graffiti project?
I still don't know if they've delivered on that.
So it's a whole cluster of a situation.
And I don't think this is going to pass, though.
Or they'll even put a decision deposit.
You can do a bit of intel.
And I believe...
Yeah, you want to do it live? I believe this person is Spanish at least based on one of the screenshots they posted.
So if you know any Spanish people, you'd all doubt it might be them.
I haven't looked into the account there to try and find out who it is.
counter uh to try and find out who it is but bizarre yeah i mean using open good for like
personal vendettas and like stuff is a bit weird but you can't avoid it right yeah okay well um
despite that chaos on kusama over on moonbeam we have in varch proposing to open and accept an hrmp
channel with moonbeam and register the xcVarch asset, which would be pretty cool.
You know what I still don't know about yet is there's all these DAOs on this InVarch DAO platform, and they've been collecting Varch tokens because there was like DAO staking and all that crap.
Those tokens are still locked. Is that right?
Like those tokens aren't liquid.
The DAOs can't claim these tokens yet.
I thought they were scraped.
What do you mean scraped?
I haven't followed,
but when they were launching on MEXC,
somehow they were like a big cry out
because somehow these tokens disappeared or something.
I mean, they majorlyly themselves just letting that run
for a year obviously so yeah it would be worse than they are right now but if they would have
let them out but obviously it's never good to go back on your word i guess but yeah because it was
basically like an app staking but it was like dow staking but it went on for like a year and a half
and people were just i don't know who knows knows how much of the supply was taken up there.
Wow, okay, I didn't know that.
All right, it just gets worse and worse.
So that's the InVarch situation there.
Also on Moonbeam, we have a page that's loading,
Evolution of the Community Grants Program.
We talked about that last week.
Currently passing with only one vote on the nay side here.
And so that's on the general admin track.
And we also have reducing the Moonbeam self-bond to half a million glimmer.
Is this for the cure for the for the for the collators?
So they're looking to attract new collators by reducing the self-bond price.
That's also passing with, looks like,
only one vote on the nay side.
Over on Hydration, a little quiet this week now.
Register LBTC and update Asset Registry.
What's LBTC?
It's Lombard BTC.
It's one of these Ethereum derivatives decentralized thing.
I believe potentially the plan in quotes is replace IBTC with, let's say, TBTC
and replace WBTC with lbtc um it's two different derivatives of bitcoin
from eve that like trustless decentralized whatever you want to call it um whereas ibtc is just uh
gigafucked because the vault system and the team just leaving and going to bob um and then wbtc is
kind of wrecked because uh justin sun is like the multi
sigona and he's like redeeming his own bitcoin fast and all this weird stuff um so yeah get rid
of those and get two better ones in i think is the plan overall looks like this ref is also going to rename a bunch of assets as well? Yeah. So this is
to kind of make it
easier, I guess.
So like Snowbridge
wrapped tokens will just be called
the name, right?
So like Snowbridge ETH will just be
Snowbridge
wrapped ETH will just be wrapped ETH. SnowbridgeVE will just be Wrapped EVE.
Snowbridge, Bitcoin will just be Wrapped Bitcoin, whatever.
Yeah, it's just to kind of fix up the names, I guess.
Also hydration related, but this is actually a discussion on Bifrost Polkadot.
This is to have hydration join their reward share program,
which basically gives a portion of the minting rewards or the minting revenue to partner projects.
So the Coos is a partner here, although it's a little tricky because you have to go through the Coos link every time you want to mint.
But I think it makes a lot of sense or even more sense when it's through an app.
So basically it's a revenue share when you have an app like Hydration or previously it was a lot of apps on Sonium who are minting via star join this
program basically every asset you meant you just get a piece of that revenue and
yeah that's pretty cool so more more someone's being rambunctious in the hall More firepower for the hydration protocol-owned liquidity there.
Over on a star, we're looking at a runtime upgrade here.
This is just a point upgrade here, fixing some small issues, allowing proxies to use
session calls.
Could be good, Could be good.
And finally, a proposal for Acala
to integrate the EVM Plus network into LBank,
the LBank exchange, which we spoke about last week.
This is currently passing with only one nay,
0.1 ACA on the nay side.
And looks like that's going to be fine.
And yeah, that's the show today.
Pretty brief one, but I don't mind that.
Get on with posting this RFP number two. But before we go, is there anything on the Polkadot side that we want to discuss ahead of next or this Thursday? Yeah, Lee.
acquisition um if i cast my mind back is it ref 457 let's check so i can't remember on ref 457
there have been many negative comments at all um okay let's let's check so like on on this ref
there is quite a lot of well quite a lot there's a few negative comments right so like on the original one you
have c212 which i guess is donald marie right so he's asking like um some some technical question
then you have some guy called sk talking about the ban and that's the only comments right yeah
there's no like negative stuff um any of that uh now this one i guess because it has a certain
group's name in it there's a lot of uh random accounts like footing um but i don't think the
i think these people do understand they're just doing it on purpose to be dicks um if we don't
acquire stable coins via dca yeah what happens we only have dot so somebody will come
to the treasury and can only request dot yeah what it means then is that exact moment that they um
submit their ref if the price of dot goes up we lose then you have to trust that they're going to
send the excess dot back and they don't which doesn't happen so you just over pay for right
if they request dot at four and it's suddenly not financial advice suddenly goes to 10 you've just paid like two and a half x more than you should have done
and there's no guarantee that they'll send it back right then if if it's four right as it is
right now and it goes to two not financial advice uh you know let's just say it does then they're
going to come back and go oh i need more dot but then and it becomes a clusterfuck because then what if the price goes up when they've requested a top up it's a nightmare
you either overpay or the teams get less money than have to go again needs it's terrible yeah
we need stables these people complaining um i guess i roughly know who they are but like they
need to grow up um they're just funny because of one group's name on this referendum. But people that actually hold .seam.
All right, we've got this one person vote in there.
Polkadot Pro.
And he has left feedback.
Talking about risks to centralized stablecoins.
Fair enough.
Could be a good use of Holler if it has good offerings in the future, maybe. Could be a good use of a holler if it has good off ramps in the future, maybe.
Very good.
Crane, you actually, in the past, didn't you kind of make a rough calculation on how much the treasury lost just because of this cluster fuck that Lima was just describing?
Oh, I started, but we wanted to do this bounty kind of thing to claim claim back dot and on pay out dot out so we could
basically balance that out but basically that got shut down last minute from some shadow wallets but
then stable coins came and then this wouldn't be needed anyway anymore but there was a lot in the
basically year ago was the highest one because um in the february last year there were um quite a heavy pump and
basically you can always look where there was quite a heavy pump some projects really really
pocketed a lot of money like i'm talking 40 extra or something yeah yeah not everyone gave it back
actually i only think only kuzumarian gaveumarion's been very good giving it back, yeah. Actually, I did a calculation a few months ago,
and we have spent, I think it was like $160,000 less than requested
just by giving it back when we got too much
but not asking for top-ups when we got too little.
Pretty cool.
Look at us.
Look at us go.
Hey, also on Polkadot, I want to bring up real quick,
because we're going to see them on Thursday,
the decentralized high-performance object storage.
This is MinIO by Accurast.
This is using their TEE, powered network, powered by mobile devices.
They're just asking for a small amount, under $44,000,
to create this storage solution.
I'm just going to be curious to see how it goes
because it's such a small amount.
They'll be on the show to talk to us about that.
Anything else?
You're muted, Limo.
You're muted there, Matt.
I just have to read something really quick
before I talk about it.
So if you have something else,
go ahead for like a minute. Let me see uh trying to resist going out in the hall and laying down the
law i mean there's a substrate asset game engine um this is by a yuna cedric from a yuna posting
this looking for eighty thousand dollars i think this is a
bit of a he's looking for a little bit of a signal that a yuna should um you know work is being
appreciated here um i the the situation with the yuna is i mean they're building great great great
great great great great great great great stuff they do they have enjoyed some adoption of their
triple a um not triple gaming, but their AAA.
They called it AAA.
No, what is it called?
The BattleMogs game.
But it's a lot of infrastructure building, not a lot of adoption yet.
And I'll be curious to see if they come on the show to talk about that.
Limo, did you figure it out?
Yeah, I'm going to remain a bit vague for now so when there is somebody that's going to submit a
referendum and they don't tell you who they are um be careful because potentially who they are
are not good people i posted a tweet like a little sub tweet uh the weekend about this um
there is somebody that's going to submit a ref
and their affiliations are quite bad and they're purposely trying to scrub who they are
um but maybe when the rest slide i'll talk about it but how will they do that i mean if they don't
have an id of someone who recognizes no they they um they are really trying to disassociate
their original pseudonym with the new pseudonym, but they're really messed up.
And I know that there's a link between the two and they're the same person.
You're not talking about who is that?
You know, they were a head ambassador for a moment.
No, no, it's not.
Who was that?
That head ambassador?
What were they called?
The fake head ambassador remember from oh
michiko no it's not my chica no it's not my chica no it's not my chica so basically this person's
affiliated with a group that's really scummy um and i think they realize that's a bad thing to be
involved with so they're trying to not mention that um so if they do submit this ref, I will be
either personally or as part of Chaos
Style Feedback, it will be doxing
them in their ref.
I got to ask you though, I mean, what about giving people
a chance to move on from bad affiliations?
You know, if they were never really involved, but they're
actually legitimately moving on, is there
any, you know,
what would satisfy
you to believe that somebody's actually you know no
longer working with a group that's been negative um a good example of this would be um kagomi
where um kagomi was under the sarmuetsu umbrella um we voted nick because sarmuetsu are really
uh strange people let's just put it nicely.
And then Camille left amid his uncompleted and then, well, I didn't have any problem with it.
Yeah, yeah.
So if they've left and acknowledged that they're potentially
whacked for scumbags, then it could be interesting.
Okay, okay. Very good.
All right, well, I think we can leave it there.
You know who's been most active in the chat today? and i just gotta say funky nobody i know you said you're
not going to come on the monday show but i don't think anybody would blame you if you if you just
popped in and just shared your thoughts it's hard to stay away i understand but it's uh you know 50
of the chat is funky so he i feel like he wants to be on the show oh a quick one i agree funky
come on what you're doing um uh thank you to people who have voted on one five ten which is
the white list of color yep um to set snow bridge wrapped stuff is sufficient um yep it's great has
a lot of votes thank you hopefully x well it should execute fine because it's been tested
Hopefully, it should execute fine because it's been tested.
What is this going to unlock for people?
You can bridge to the ecosystem without needing DOT.
So people that just want to get involved in Polkadot,
that don't even need DOT, they can just transfer stables over,
use those stables for transaction fees.
They can then bridge the stables to Hydration,
if and when hydration has deep
liquidity for these things um and then buy like dot whatever they want right um so it's pretty
good so pending deep liquidity deployment so i have i have native usdc on ethereum and i can
just bring it over to polka dot no problems right yes so we've fixed the small pools on asset hub for the trade fee swaps facilitation.
Now the only thing left is deeper liquidity provision. And there's some people hopefully
doing that rather soon. If not, the FUD will be coming out. So hopefully that's done in April.
Let's say fingers crossed.
Gratitude is a carrot.
Fud is the stick.
Thanks very much for that.
Limo before we wrap it up today,
I'm now going to throw it over to funky for the state of the funk.
The state of the funk has been summoned.
don't really,
sorry guys.
I'm literally just grinding away in the background.
I heard you chatting some crap about how I just come on the show.
So I just wanted to at least make appearance, say hello.
Thank you guys, honestly, for keeping us all in the know for everything that you do week after week.
It goes without saying, like, and I even just had a conversation with Shorty this morning about how I am still going to spend at least an hour on Thursdays.
I feel it's really important.
It's not like just because Lucky Friday is losing its DB,
we're not going to be involved in governance.
That is very much the case.
In fact, we're going to be drafting some things to put on the forum,
sort of like lessons learned for DBs,
along with some other things that we probably are going to.
We'll probably be a little bit more active on the forums.
But at least, yeah, I had to come on because, I mean,
Lemo's breaking my heart, right?
Like, I mean, at the beginning of the show,
saying he's missing the state of the funk so i can't make any promises
that i'll pop in on other mondays but i will always be watching in the background trying to
take care of stuff on the institutional side of the global stake but um happy to be here for a
couple seconds and uh miss you guys as well of course i saw you i saw your super limo post and
that you you're all in on hydration assets now you're basically you're just you're just mining hdx and so yeah like i mean you know i have been there's just so many of the other assets i have
like i have a pretty good size maybe probably not huge but like a very decent astar bag i was very
very bullish on astar for a long time oh yeah i mean between you and me i feel like the narrative
is a little bit convoluted at this point with Sonium and everything else.
Yeah, yeah.
So I was doing the traditional DAP staking.
I have been doing that forever.
And I finally just said, you know what?
I'm just going to take all my – because I saw the rates on hydration.
And I said to myself, this is too crazy.
I'm just going to take all my Astar, all my Glimmer, all my Kilt, everything that I had.
And not all my DOTstar, all my Glimmer, all my Kilt, everything that I had. And not all my DOT,
because I still feel it's important to have my DOT stash that's staking and I vote with,
and it's not massive. But I basically took the other half of the DOT. I threw that into
hydration as well. The product is too good. I mean, routinely, and I just admittedly,
I'm selling all the rewards for TBTC. I was stacking sats yeah um it's kind of like what i do on bob it's same
thing i'm doing a lot with bob they have an op token campaign every day i claim every day i dump
every day i get more tbtc because i am sort of you know i'm in the market if it's taught me
anything in this third cycle is that bitcoin is the apex predator also just hanging on for their
dear life i'd rather just continue to to accumulate BTC as a safe asset.
This is a big reason why I've suggested that we DCA into it as a chain and to diversify our treasury.
However, also understand the argument that the treasury is there to be spent, which Gavin himself said, right?
It's not necessarily about hodling it for long-term value.
So I get that idea as well.
But hydration is just too damn good.
And we need to do whatever we can to kind of dog food that thing as a major
ecosystem player, continue to get people to, I mean, I love it.
It's so simple.
It's so easy to use.
So the point where I faffoed and literally like on a Friday night call,
typically Friday night call things, isn't it?
And chaos now where I like made somebody just, I just,
somebody posted the picture of like limo with the cape with the thumbs up.
And somebody's like, somebody should make a studio Ghibli.
So then I quickly made some studio Ghibli stuff.
And then somebody said, who's making a meme coin of this?
And you know, like, you know what?
I've never tried that meme coin maker on, on hydration.
So I did it and I made the Sleemo token because that was the limit I had to
the, to the name. So I literally, I'm not selling it. I don't care.
Like I'm just kind of faffling. I'm putting money into the pool. If people want to use it, I had to the name. So I literally, I'm not selling it. I don't care. Like, I'm just kind of faffling.
I'm putting money into the pool if people want to use it.
I gave a bunch away.
I gave Limo half of what I bought the first night.
You know, so like, I'm just having fun.
I love hydration.
It's a great product.
It's a great team.
And there's my little bullish endorsement hydration.
All right.
Hydration looking good here.
Looking good.
Very good. You know, the hydration chart for me that I follow is Hydration BTC. bullish endorsement hydration all right hydration looking good here looking good very good i you
know the hydration chart for me that i follow is hydration btc and i don't know what happened but
there was like a way i think it was a fucking insane wick this morning i think that's just i
think that's just like poor calculations but uh it kind of freaked me out it is not sorry if i can
fool them that yeah yeah what happened, sometimes I'm interested in hydration.
Someone fat fingered 700,000 HTX on Creighton and turns out Creighton liquidity is rather shallow.
So basically it dumped from 115 to 44 in one candle
and well, now it's up there again.
So someone basically sold at minus 75% for no reason at all.
Be careful out there.
All right.
We're going to, I think, fire this RFP in real quick,
but we'll leave you guys now to go about your day.
Have a great rest of the March, everybody.
That's Q3 for you.
And just a few hours left for a few projects
to deliver on the q1 promises yeah lee go ahead go ahead exactly what i was gonna fucking say
there's like a load of things that we have like a list of like uh some key one stuff uh-huh
tomorrow it's key two you're gonna get asked where your q1 deliverables are it was an i was actually
i mean i know price price was you know went up and came back to where it was but i think as far as productivity and polka dot goes building polka
dot it was a very good q1 i was a very impressed with our work so let's see he's gonna be crazy
cute he's gonna be wild cute looking bullish all right guys we'll see you soon thanks very
much for being here see you soon. Thanks very much for being here. See you on Thursday. so Thank you. so Thank you. you
