Very excited to get started today. We'll just give it two minutes for any other people to join. This one is recording, so we'll be able to share it with the community afterwards as well.
All right, Romeo, let's just do a quick mic check on you. Mic check, one, two, three. Awesome, awesome. All right, we'll give it one more minute and then we'll get started. Awesome.
Thank you so much to Joan Hansen who's here with us today. Hope you enjoyed the show.
All right, well I think we can get started. As I said, this one is recording so we'll be able to share it with our communities afterwards. So welcome everyone, welcome to this week's episode of Actonon Verva. I'm your host Muses and I'm really really excited about today's show and today's guest.
But for those of you who don't know me, I'm the head of marketing at Actify. I joined Actify about three months ago and my main vision from a marketing perspective has just been to bring more visibility around
And our development journey really show off everything that we have. And then also just reunite with all of our partners with our community and kind of create a more consistent, back and forth between all of us because we have an amazing network, an amazing community.
And it's really important to me that we're all talking and enjoying one another's presence. So to those of you also who don't know what this show is about, it is exactly what its name suggests.
This is a Latin phrase and it means acts not words or deeds not words. And you know, that's a philosophy that I actually stand by and something that I wanted to bring to this show. I really, really think especially in this industry
like so many others, there's a lot of people and projects that just make promises and then don't deliver or just façades and something that's super important to me is that the people that I've come into contact with over the last few years
in the industry that we, you know, the people who are real, the projects that are real, that we actually put them in the spotlight and we give them a chance to shine and talk because then we all got to get the chance to learn from one another and, uh, yeah, really just explore and extend our network. So,
With all of that said, I'm very, very pleased and excited to introduce this week's special guest. It is none other than OIG's CMO Romeo. Well thank you, this is what an incredible introduction.
I really enjoyed the, or learning about the title of this, I guess this podcast. I didn't know how deep it went and that's, I really appreciate that, that title. But yeah, no, I'm, I'm really excited for this show as well and thank you for having me on.
It's a pleasure. And yeah, you know what? I had that exact same reaction when I asked the CEO, Christoph, you know, when I first joined the company and I'm like, okay, what? You know, I'm thinking, I'm thinking, okay, what is this all about? And then, you know, he told me that the meaning of actor and I was just mind blowing
I was like wow that is really really really cool and just like right off the top highlighted the depth of his character so so I'm glad that you're that you're excited about that as well now Romeo I've seen you active in the industry for quite some time
time now. But just because I know you doesn't mean our guests know you so why don't you give give our community a little bit of a sure yeah so I got started in blockchain pretty much four years ago now and even before that I was
playing around with some investments, but nothing really serious. It was really at the start of the last ball run that I realized the potential in this space, and that's kind of where I really started to invest not only in my capital, but
also my time and my energy into really learning and getting a good grasp of where this space is going and how it can be implemented in terms of getting people to use cryptocurrencies at the very base of it and maybe even
you know, disrupt whatever we call the status quo with payment mechanisms and monetization and whatnot. But yeah, I mean, you know, humble beginnings just started playing around and eventually I had a very good friend of mine
