GM GM welcome to this week's weekly Appi Network AMA before we get into it
Pinaki I'd just like to do a quick mic check with you can you hear me GM GM
awesome we are good to go well thank you everyone for joining this week's AMA I
see a couple of you in here and a bunch others as well if you're listening to the
And so for anyone listening for the first time, we do weekly AMAs on a Tuesday at 12 p.m. UTC every week.
And this is where we just gather and we give the community updates on what we've been working on, the latest stuff.
And then we open the floor for questions.
Now, these questions, you can comment down below, you know, prior and advance.
Our AMA post goes up on Friday, so you can start casting in questions since then.
If you're just joining, you can still comment your question down below, and I'll definitely get to it.
And then if you're feeling super, super brave, you can go ahead and request to become a speaker.
And we'll bring you up on stage and you can just ask the question directly to us.
So that's pretty much the format of our AMA.
And without further ado, let's get into it.
Right, so there has been a lot that has been happening to say the least.
The launch of AFE Network V3 is here.
So how has the team been managing the buzz and activity leading up to this moment,
Yeah, thanks a lot, Zeke.
And, you know, for everybody that's here, you know, thank you as well.
So we're very excited to be, you know, working on After Network.
And, you know, we've been, you know, putting out a lot of content lately.
So, you know, one of things that we've been doing is really just building in public.
And so for those who have been following, you know, you have seen my posts.
around, you know, paranoid founders.
You would have seen my posts around, you know,
today I just put out a post on, you know, a new hire,
which we'll get into later on.
So there's a lot of exciting things that have been happening
and we're just being, you know, really public about it.
Yeah, man, we are building in public, to say the least, to be honest, out of all of the
Web3 companies I've come in touch with or I've talked to or have worked with, I would say
AFI network is definitely embodies, you know, the Webty spirit of being transparent and
building in public and, you know, not being afraid to take huge leaps. And I'm pretty...
pretty excited for for 2025 or for the rest of 2025 so with multiple campaigns ready to go live
as we have a bunch of people who
I have agreed to create a campaign with us.
And I know you posted some posts recently.
You went to a networking event, I believe,
and then someone wanted to, you know, use AFI.
So I'll let you get into that as well.
But what's the onboarding process like for businesses,
for any businesses listening right now?
And are there any common questions they've asked so far,
just so we can address them here too?
Yeah, absolutely. So I think the post you're referring to is with Daniel from Frog Dog Games.
So for those of you who haven't seen that post, you know, where frogdog games will be using Affi Network and Affie Widget to roll out their project.
I wrote about, you know, how they're building some really cool things from gaming to miniatures. And there's a lot of, you know, depth to their project.
And so for them to be, you know, using Affi Network tools to grow, we're very excited to be supporting them. And so...
You know, the reason I went to that event, actually it was not for networking purposes.
It was just to support Daniel.
And because we were in the same city, he was giving a talk.
and he's going to be using our product.
I wanted to make sure that we were there for him.
And yeah, at the same time, we got a photo together.
And I put that out as well.
And there's going to be more that comes out regarding our collaboration soon.
So please stay tuned for that.
And with regards to how to get started as a business
and what Affi Network does, just taking it back, very simple,
Affi Network helps you reward users.
with crypto directly from your website and app.
So you have a Web3 business.
Whether or not you have your own token,
you want to incentivize users to do things like follow you
or post some content about you,
or you want to give them cash back for taking transactions
you could use AFI network to do that, right?
So instead of having to build your own tools,
you could just leverage the tools that we build
and then just pay us $2,500 per year,
which is our business model.
It's pure SaaS, so it's just a one-time payment per year.
And that will allow you to save a lot of money.
You wouldn't have to actually build it yourself.
And so a lot of businesses are very excited about the tools
that we're bringing in and we're constantly going to be adding more features
And so, you know, there's a lot of value add for the businesses.
And we allow them to focus on their core, right?
So whether they're building games,
then they can be focused on their games.
And if they're building, you know,
DFI products, then they focus on the DFI products,
you know, leave the rewards in for us.
And so how can businesses get on board?
Afri network is the self-serve tools.
So businesses can come on and create campaigns
Now, AFI network is live.
And so, you know, the app is live.
And right now, what we're doing is doing a bit of security enhancements.
Tomorrow, we're going to be putting out like a bigger announcement that says,
you know what, we're open for business.
And we're going to be starting to put out, you know, more campaigns that we're going to be launching with our clients.
So we'll roll that out onto all socials as well to keep you posted about, you know,
what campaigns and initiatives are going on.
But despite us being a self-served tool, you can also reach us and just send us a message on Telegram,
you know, reach out to us on Discord.
Our team is very active right now and we're very happy to support you with all your campaign needs.
And if you need more information, you want to try doing it yourself.
Look for our demo, right?
We have demos on YouTube, we have a loom video.
We also have other assets such as our docs, which you can find at help.afi.network.
So yeah, that's a little bit more about how businesses can, you know, navigate.
Awesome. Thanks, Panaki. Yeah, and for any businesses out there, like, you know, we've got the YouTube, we've got the demos, we've got the docs.
But if for any reason, just like Panaki said, if you need further help or you have any questions, we do take pride in our customer service.
And that is something that we will be.
prioritizing because we know that you know making sure that that our customers have a
seamless and sort of a very easy experience you know when when they come on and they're just
all they have to do is basically from their campaign and kind of wait and the rest of the stuff
we're more than happy to answer questions and be by your side just like pinocchi was
mentioning um i'm sorry it was uh david right panaki
Daniel Daniel sorry my bad so Daniel so like Daniel was coming was it's gonna come on you know like
the Panaki actually went there to actually support
him and and to be honest it's just a just a little comment on
Pinaki himself as well is just that
And I've worked with Mike for a while.
To be honest, I would say he's working 24-7.
And if there were, like, more hours in the day, he'd be working that.
So in terms of, like, priority on customers and businesses,
I really is prioritizing that with the leadership of Panaki.
So I just want to add that comment on there.
Yeah, thanks a lot, Zeke.
Yeah, I try to push really hard.
And I see that the team is also pushing very hard.
You know, I said, yeah, I went to see Daniel.
It was actually a Saturday night.
So, you know, yeah, actually it's, it's, there's,
there's, you know, a lot of passion that goes into what we do
and we love to to be there for our clients, right?
And I also see that the other team members are all in as well.
So on Sunday, I also got a message from the Affi Network,
a LinkedIn account that said, happy Sunday, GM, GM.
And so we're very excited to be building Affi Network.
And we're very excited to be supporting any users that come in and need our help.
Yeah, Web 3 does not sleep and neither do we.
So now moving on to a different sort of topic, one that you touched upon in your intro, is that what role does the newly onboarded AI team play in shaping AFI network and its experiences?
And can we expect AI-driven tools soon as well?
Absolutely. So let's break this down in two parts, right?
What is this whole AI agent thing?
Okay, so the first part, let's break down to Lucy.
So Lucy's our new AI agent,
someone that we brought onto our team.
She's a business developer,
and that's the roles that she has,
because we're a B2B company.
And so a lot of her roles is around research,
making sure that we're identifying the correct prospects
and handling outreach and at the same time,
also handling follow-ups and making sure that we have a strong
pipeline and more than that's also making sure that the businesses that really do need our help,
you know, are we're able to reach those businesses.
So that's extremely important for us.
And so we're very excited to be bringing Lucy on.
And Lucy is actually, you know, we've been testing Lucy since January.
And so, you know, we only just announced Lucy now because, you know, we're rolling out.
And so, you know, some of our users will be speaking to Lucy.
And so we just want to be fully transparent about it.
And at the same time, you know, we see that this is,
the way that the world is moving.
And so we have to embrace the technology
and be a forward thinking company.
we're also going to look at optimizing Lucy
and then bringing on more agents like Lucy in the near future.
So we're very excited about that.
Now, the second part is, you know,
is AFI network building our own AI tools
for customers to use, you know, and so we are doing a lot of that.
And the thing is that right now our priority is just around our core
and our core architecture, which is a decentralized incentives program.
We see that there's a lot of, you know, players, you know, in the AI race right now, building
you know, various tools, which we can actually leverage, right?
So for example, using AI to enhance security, right?
For example, and actually that's something that we've been doing,
you know, over the past week, right?
So since we've, you know, deployed onto MayNet,
so just ahead of our launch, we've been adding some security enhancements.
There's quite a lot of security enhancements that we're adding, but part of it is Cloudflare.
So if any of you guys have visited Affi Network recently you've seen that we've added Cloudflare.
With Cloudflare comes also bot protection looking at various AI bots that are coming in to exploit our ecosystem.
So we have detectors for that.
And yeah, so AI powered fraud detection is definitely one huge use case for protocols like ours.
But even more so, we're looking into ways that we could be innovative with AI.
But first, we want to make sure that our core architecture, you know,
in regards to, you know, being the strongest incentives, infra protocol out there that's decentralized.
I think that's really important that this message, you know, reaches everybody.
And then we can add, you know, all the AI things later, no issues.
Awesome. Yeah, completely agreed on there.
So sort of moving on to...
your sort of personal journey in these last days.
So we saw a couple posts about you tracking your steps and you were posting about it.
And so you're averaging at like 18,000 plus.
So 18K is the minimum daily steps, which is pretty legendary.
Is this part of the team's productivity hack?
Is this like productivity sort of tool that you've implemented in the team?
Or like, can we get a little bit of a background around why are we seeing such steps?
And what's the mood like sort of in the office for you?
Yeah, absolutely. So I think this is pretty funny, right? And so I did notice that actually my level of steps were increasing and it kind of happens around, you know, this launch time. It was a bit strange. And, you know, founder paranoia is a real thing, right? So for those of you guys who aren't familiar with founder paranoia, I think a few people have written about it. And, you know, but it talks about how a successful company requires a paranoid founder, right? And so
Yeah, that's pretty funny.
So we just kind of played around with it.
And yeah, I don't know we're taking it too far now.
I'm actually taking steps right now.
I think I might be like 500 steps just for this AMA.
But yeah, the idea is we are moving a lot more.
I think partly is because we're also a remote company.
So a lot of times I'm walking because I'm on calls and we're on the move.
And there are things that are happening in different parts that I have no,
don't have full control over, which is absolutely fine.
But you know, we have a great team.
but there's a lot of walking involved and yeah that's good keeps me fit yeah I
think on one of your posts you said no need for a membership a gym membership
when you can start up a tech company that was pretty yeah exactly you know why
join the gym when you can start a tech company exactly
You know what would be cool and this is just off the fly, if you would get rewarded for steps.
And I know there was, I remember the name of the project, maybe Stefan.
Yeah, yeah, but you get rewarded for that.
I wonder if there will any be new Steffin sort of projects out there, you know,
reach out. We'd be happy to reward each step taken.
And just a fair warning while we are, you know, doing the rewards for you guys.
Kinaki might be on the leaderboard.
for this dude do do let me tell you uh with regards to stephen they should they should
sponsor me 100% you can get like appi sneakers and whatnot awesome okay well um that sort of uh
brings us towards the end of updates from the team and sort of the first half of the ama if you are
just joining uh you still have a chance to drop down your questions below so you can still
cost new questions below and then i'll get to them
But without further ado, I'm going to get into the questions now from our community.
So the first question is, are there any strategies you recommend for businesses to maximize engagement with their V3 campaigns?
I think this is actually a very broad question.
The way that I would look at it, I think it depends really on the business, the current objectives.
I would think about what's really important.
Of course, we have all the standards, right?
Like, okay, go follow us.
and go create content for us.
And so if there's a specific event happening,
I would recommend posting about the specific event, right?
So right now, we're in the process of creating
our own AFI widget as well.
And right now we're in the process of launching B3,
so I think it's really important that that message gets put out.
And so it would make sense that the affiliates
that are using AFI widget would be posting about that.
And so very similarly, you should think about
what events are happening for your current business
And then I would look at, yeah, definitely joining the communities, right?
So if you're more active on Discord or Telegram,
we have support for both of those.
If you're on both, then definitely do both.
And then, you know, if you have a specific post as well that you want to push out,
so this would be linked to the event,
you could get and incentivize users to repost that as well.
Now, if you have some specific, unique, you know,
angle, you can add a quiz to it.
The whole idea is really just to kind of engage your community, right?
And, you know, throw a referral reward to each of those tasks, right?
you know, spiral more, you know, referrals and just kind of create that network effects that you're hoping for for your business, right?
And so this becomes a tool that allows you to do that.
Now, if you're a Web3 business,
you know, you would have on-chain activities as well.
And, you know, you might have a saking pool,
or you might have a token sale,
or you might have, you know, an NFT.
And so all these on-chain transactions could also be tracked
and rewarded by AFI network.
So, you know, if you want to incentivize deposits over certain volumes,
right, so buy over $500 of this token sale,
or mint this NFT that's worth 24, whatever,
tokens, you know, we could support that, right?
And if you want to use any reward token you want, we also support that.
So yeah, that's this, you know, high level on AFNAN network.
Speaking of supporting, Panagi, I believe we now support Monat TestNet.
Could you give a little bit of some insights over there?
Yeah, thanks a lot for the reminder.
You know, we actually just announced that yesterday,
but there's just so much going on right now,
which is actually a really good problem, right?
Because a lot of times companies are going out looking for announcements
and we're kind of just filling with them.
So Monads, okay, we've been working with the Monad ecosystem team
where we're connected with them.
I've actually been talking to the APAC lead for a while already, and then recently we've
been talking with some other team members as well.
You know, we have a group together and we're in the process of being introduced to their
And so that's something that's really exciting for us because, you know,
Monad is a huge, you know, ecosystem.
They've raised, I think, close to 250 million now,
maybe 248 across a few rounds.
They have some really strong backers like Paradigm.
You know, they're not messing about.
They're looking to really build something strong.
I know that they have a lot of builders that are standing by.
And a lot of incentives that will actually flow through the Monad ecosystem, right?
Monad is a huge thing, right?
And so Monad actually isn't launch yet.
They haven't gone live, so a lot of people anticipating their launch.
But for us, we deployed on their test net.
Just went live less than a month ago.
And we needed to be really quick, right?
And so that builders on Monad don't actually end up building out their loyalty tools, right?
Why would you need to do that when it's already done for you?
And so now all the builders on Monad,
could just use Affi Network.
And if they're launching tokens on Monad,
they could also just reward with their own native tokens on Monad.
And those transactions will also happen on Monad.
So pretty cool, right, in terms of
you know, what we could do to support various blockchains and ecosystems.
We're very excited about, you know, being able to deploy on various chains and really just being native to the project and fitting in, right?
Not just by being embedded onto their sites, but or using their tokens, but also, you know, within the chains that are native to their projects.
So, yeah, that's a little bit more about Monad.
And we're, yeah, looking forward to it.
Thanks for the updates there.
The next question is, will there be onboarding tutorials or guides for businesses unfamiliar with Affi Network?
Yeah, so you can actually check out our docs right now. It's on help.afi.network.
We also have a demo video, which is not in our docs yet, but I think that's something that will be adding soon.
So, yeah, you know, you can find all the tutorials that you need just by visiting our website, checking on our docs.
Awesome. The next question is, saw Mainnet go up?
What's been the initial feedback from businesses and users so far?
Yeah, no, so that's cool for whoever noticed that.
But right now we've gone live.
As mentioned, we're enhancing,
we're doing some security enhancements.
And yeah, so tomorrow we'll be doing like our big announcement.
And that's when we're going to be pushing for businesses.
And so right now we don't have sufficient feedback from the mainnet going live,
But I can share with you that, you know, all the feedback that we receive from TestNet,
which is pretty much an identical copy just on a test network.
And so a lot of businesses are very excited about that.
And also, I'm not sure for those of you guys who are on LinkedIn,
there's like a lot of people that are kind of now just picking up Affi Network and writing about us.
I'm being invited to various podcasts.
and to be featured in various newsletters.
Our latest that I just saw this morning was,
or last night I can't even recall anymore,
was a comparison between AFI network and Galaxy.
And that's cool because we see Galaxy as a large incentives player,
and we're coming in from a totally different angle.
And while we've discussed this internally
and maybe some of our ambassador calls,
You know, we haven't, you know, been so public about it.
And so when, you know, a third party kind of sees that we're coming, you know,
with something that's much more helpful for businesses.
It's nice to see the community just kind of pick that up.
And so we're very excited about that, right?
Galaxy, I think at their peak almost achieved like a billion dollars in valuation.
And so, yeah, they've kind of dropped a bit lately.
I'm not so sure what's happening or what's going on with their tokenomics.
We're not so focused on our competitors.
We're very busy just talking to our customers.
I feel like that should be a quote.
We're not so focused on our competitors.
We're just too busy focused on our customers.
It is, it is. I'm going to post that soon.
The next question is, are there any tools or features in V3 that make campaign set up faster?
Yeah, I think they've used V2 and they're just wondering if there's any upgrades on speed.
To be honest, I don't know.
I mean, it's pretty fast.
Actually, there's one part that makes it a little faster.
So for those who you don't know,
there's copy paste integration, right?
So it's very simple to create a campaign and integrate it.
But one thing that there's an enhancement on V3 is the integration.
Once you edit the widget and change the campaign or add the campaign,
in V2, you actually needed to replace the link.
And so there's actually a process where the developer has to reintegrate the campaign for each uptime the campaign gets updated.
And so right now with V3, that's not there anymore.
You just embed it one time and you can edit the campaign as many times as you need and it'll reflect.
So that's actually something that's super cool.
But yeah, I think with V2, we were, yeah, I think in terms of integration, that would be it.
And the widget looks a lot better now, so we're excited about that too.
The next question is, now that V3 is going live,
what's the next big milestone for AFFE network?
Right now, a lot of our milestones are around growth, right?
So getting our customers on board,
where we're doing a lot of testings on go-to-market.
So some of you've been seeing that I posted on our new AI agent business
And so we're very focused on getting that in order.
and really just ramping up our user base
because the product improves with more users as well.
So new businesses could bring in new affiliates
that could then improve the performance of other projects.
And so there's like that huge network effects component
And so the momentum and the pace would be very important,
especially as we roll out our product and go to market
So that's really a big focus.
But yeah, we also have other things, right,
that we're rolling out like buyback and burn.
So a lot of exciting things that are happening on that front as well.
and we also have intention to build out our own AI tools,
which we've been doing some R&D on.
And so that we might look at around Q3.
So yeah, I mean, there's a lot of things that are exciting that's happening.
But right now, the focus really is on,
because we have really good tech.
Now it's really just making sure that we're able to make all the customers
that we're working with happy.
Are there any stand-up campaigns already running on V3 that you'd recommend us to check out?
I mean, this is more from a user standpoint.
Yeah, no, not yet. So that will be, we'll roll out some campaigns tomorrow.
So, I mean, it's something that you should definitely check, keep an eye on, you know, from tomorrow onwards.
So we'll be rolling out some Affi Network campaigns, by the way.
So you can now earn incentives by just sharing about AFI.
Yeah, that's for sure. And just,
Make sure that you're following us on Twitter and you have the notification icon on.
That way, any campaigns that go up, at least for the first, you know, like the first batch,
we'll be featuring them all on our Twitter.
So make sure you're following us over there.
The next question is, what made you start AFI?
Yeah, okay, I guess we could do long answer type questions.
So I've been on this journey for a while.
I've been in marketing and entrepreneurship for pretty much most of my career.
And yeah, I've been kind of...
Working with a lot of big brands, so I founded a company that did production, right, for a lot of large brands.
We had delivered to Apple, Netflix, Airbnb, Western Union, Fox Sports, you know, all of the big hotels.
And, yeah, I mean, a lot of others, you know, brands across Thailand, Asia.
the US, Europe. And so that was a really cool exposure, you know, working with brands, working
with agencies. And then from there, you know, we wanted to create more of a social impact. And so I felt like,
okay, cool, I was making a bunch of money and, you know, I was adding value to the brands that
we're working with. But I felt like, well, from the service perspective, I felt like, you know,
we reached kind of the peak in terms of business. We already had like a lot of our cool clients, but
you know, we didn't see the, you know, the retention the same way as like, let's say, a SaaS type business, right?
So that was one. And then secondly, we wanted to create impact as well, you know, for people, you know, in society.
And so we were thinking, how could we take, you know,
the access that we have to brand and deliver them, you know, a service that would also help society.
And so that's when we launched BrandFace.
And BrandFace was, you know, an influencer company.
We did nano-influencer marketing.
We turned university students into nano-influencers.
And we said, look, now you can monetize your Instagram profiles.
And so we did that in Thailand.
We ended up working with brands like DeCathlon, Cebillo, Lock and Lock.
that we're trying to tap into the Thai market for that specific demographic.
And we ended up creating side hustles or incentives for over 2,500 people.
And that was super cool, right? We worked with a lot of brands and the insight that we had was that,
you know, brands are like, look, we wanted to pay, you know, per shoe sold or per IoT device sold.
And so for me as an entrepreneur, I found that, you know, wow, this is cool, it makes sense.
People want to pay on a commission basis, but there's no way to do that.
Hmm, a commission protocol.
And so that's kind of how AFI Network started.
And, you know, I was already kind of in crypto since 2017.
Initially, just more as like an investor, just looking around learning.
And, you know, I kind of found that the eureka moment was really realizing that, you know,
the blockchain, the transparency and immutability that's found, you know, across blockchains,
would be the perfect way to actually solve for attribution.
Attribution just means to reward something, right?
And the blockchain actually allowed that to happen across many industries because, you know, whether you're in, you know, F&B or whether you're in sports or whether you're in, you know, e-sports or whether you're in DFI, eventually the businesses would be moving on chain.
And so that's when we started, you know, developing Affi Network and doing a lot more R&D for Affi Network and
Today, from V1 to V2 to V3, we've just been working with the industry.
The industry has been evolving really fast, so it's been pretty brutal from V1 to V2.
But I think with V3, we've kind of found the rhythm.
We have a lot of cool projects that are lining up to rollout campaigns with us across multiple industries.
So there's a lot of validation coming from industry experts as well as customers.
So yeah, I mean, it's a long-ended sort of question, but I think it's important because every week we get a bunch of new people in.
So they don't obviously know all of the history, but it's always so interesting to...
sort of hear that you know you don't get a lot of web three companies uh you know transitioning from
web two and then not even just web two but then it's like web two that was you know making revenue
that was an actual business established and so i think that that makes for a very unique sort of story
and a memorable one for for anyone that's listening
Yeah, I think so. I think so. And I think one more thing is that we're, you know, I think with regards to the number of, you know, the will impact that Brand faces created 1.0 was, you know, 2,500 plus, you know, nano-influencers or people incentivized. And so the vision is, you know, very similar with, with Afri Network in which that we want to extend this.
And we're using AFRI network really as a vehicle to achieve this mission, right,
of bringing incentives to millions of people around the world.
And we knew that we couldn't do it, you know, with our initial structure and model.
And so that's why we needed AFRI network, right, to make sure that we were really able to achieve,
you know, the real purpose, right, of building the successful business is not just the money,
but also making sure that, you know, we're making the world a better place.
I kind of want to extend that question and,
I'm talking about incentives as a whole.
And I know that we were speaking on this about, you know, maybe 10 years ago, what were incentives or 15 years ago and where where AFI network is now and is AFI network basically the future of incentives.
So kind of what you mentioned to me earlier, would you mind sharing as well?
whatever yeah so yeah i mean it was it was it was actually a meme idea i was sharing with zeke so
um i was like oh man okay we should actually show um you know in in a meme right are how
you know, the world of incentives and loyalty is kind of transformed across, you know,
pre-internet to Web 1 and Web 2 and Web 3. And you guys may have seen that sort of, you know,
graphic where it says Web 1, you know, read and then Web 2 read write and then Web 3,
read-write own, right? So that's sort of...
sort of visual. But the idea was really to kind of show what loyalty, kind of how loyalty transformed over time, right?
And so in the beginning, you know, if you think about it from the perspective of like, okay, you have a magazine and you're cutting out like a coupon, right?
And then, you know, fast forward to Web 1, that's now, you know, on the internet. So now you take that and then you can now go to, you know, a store.
Then we have Web 2, right, now where you actually can interact.
And so this enter now promo code, right,
where you see a promo code somewhere else,
but you can now actually enter it into the app, right?
And so now with Web 3, this is where we see Affionnetwork coming in,
right? And so we think that with this sort of very simple,
infographic, we'd be able to convey this to a lot of people
with a very strong caption.
Like, in hindsight, it would seem obvious all along.
Right. And I think in terms of relatability to that whole conversation, anyone, you know, whether you're just fresh into Web 3 or whether you've been here for a while, I think it speaks to everyone, especially when we're drawing comparisons in terms of old tech and in terms of, you know, timelines and all that sort of stuff.
Because I feel like sometimes people come in and
they kind of feel overwhelmed with the amount of information,
even though it might be super simple,
or something that they already know,
but with all the jargon, all that sort of stuff,
it might confuse them, but really, like, AFI network is,
at the center of like providing value through incentives and incentives I've been here all along.
It's just like the medium changes, right? The way they're delivered, the functioning.
But essentially they're the same thing. And I feel like having conversations around that
really brings a lot of value and a lot of reach to who you can talk to and how they can understand.
So I just found that really, really interesting when you brought it up and definitely will have that meme out and we'll have other content that will be relating to it as well.
Yeah, actually, just to add on this, I was having a very interesting conversation with Emily from this company called Hype.
And she's a CMO there and she posted something recently on LinkedIn about how, you know,
well, Web3 marketing is extremely hard, right?
And that it's very challenging to bring people in and that there's no new people and, you know, this and that.
But, you know, sort of our take on that is very simple is that, you know, incentives are actually the center of why people get onboarded, right?
Incentive by definition means motivation, right?
So an incentive to do something, a motivation to do something, right?
That's why people do things, right? And so, you know, whether that's
you know, driven by monetary incentives or whether that incentive actually means now I get to vote, right?
Or I get to be participate. I get access. I get something. Doesn't necessarily need to be money.
But incentives are the reason people do things, right? And if you look at Web2, you look at some of the really big platforms that grew like Uber, you know, they used incentives, right?
You had promo codes, you had invite codes.
So that's your Web 2 incentives that we were talking about earlier.
You look at PayPal, they use referrals as well, right, to scale.
It costs a lot of money and actually they had to raise money to do that.
So they were actually burning investor funds.
And the incentive was simple, is like invite someone, you get $10 if they join and they
And it makes sense, right?
And so you want to send money to someone and you say, hey, I'll send it to you through
PayPal and then you also get $10 by creating an account.
And so there was a lot of motive, right, to actually do that.
And so with Web3, it's going to be very similar, right?
There's going to be a lot of businesses, though.
There's going to be a lot of incentives going around.
And not a lot of people are going to want all the incentives that are going around.
So businesses do have to be very creative with how they distribute their incentives,
how they bring and create value for their incentives.
And that usually is linked to the value creation within their product or brand or ecosystem.
But yeah, you know, for us as a facilitator, we want to make sure that all the projects that need to run, you know, incentive functionalities can do so by just, you know, piggybacking off our R&D.
Awesome. Thanks for adding on to Nakki.
So the next question is, can you explain how the user experience has changed for individuals earning rewards in V3?
Yeah, I mean, it's through the widget,
so it's very simple, very similar.
And I think the difference now is that because we have multi,
multi-campaign widgets, you know, we're able to also have multi-currency widgets, right?
So essentially, you could have one campaign paying out in USDT, you can have one campaign paying out in NAFI,
So it creates for more flexibility for participants to earn, you know, various types of tokens.
But yeah, the same as V2.
The whole flow is done on the widget itself, and you can claim your incentive directly on the widget.
we are moving towards our very last question now so this will be the last question of this a
am a unless anyone just pops in with another comment real quick but yeah cool so the last question
is do you ever think about rebranding afi network usually leads people to believe you are a chain
Very, very interesting, very interesting, but it'll come together.
The idea with the network is that we're the network of various affiliate programs as well.
And that's where the network effect comes in.
So I think as we start to see hundreds of campaigns that are deployed on AFRI network,
the word network might make more sense to the rest of the people.
And I also think chains are going to die soon, right?
So we're going to consolidate because I think something like 10,000 plus chains are in existence right now.
But no, we're not opposed to, you know, if it really comes down to it down the line.
If our Dow decides that they want to rebrand, I'm definitely open to proposals.
And it's super interesting on this because
Whenever people do like, I guess like get a little bit confused around like wait, but why network or why AFI or you know when they ask all these questions I feel like it's a great opportunity to to wind back the clock and
Take them back to like you know after came pro affiliate v1 and then do da da da back face and you go through the whole story. So I feel like it actually kind of does some great marketing when people kind of get curious like why that name.
I think it, yeah, for me personally, I feel like it's a marketing opportunity for those that are curious.
While I know there are brands that make it super obvious and use names that are very like, you know, obvious,
I feel like Affi Network comes with a lot of history and a lot of stuff to talk about, like we mentioned.
Yeah, actually, just to add, funny story is since we're being super transparent,
and we were talking about Galaxy earlier, so...
One of the suppliers of, well, Galaxy's chain reached out to us,
basically said that we should launch one, too,
primarily because we might be a network in itself.
So it's pretty funny, but we're obviously not launching our own chain.
And, you know, that's also one of our value props, right?
So because Galaxy has their own chain, users actually need to, you know, switch chains,
and the U.X is not, you know, as good as it could be.
And so we've decided, you know, not to, but...
But yeah, I mean, the option is always there.
But, you know, I don't see why we need to at this point.
You know, there's just so many chains out there.
And, you know, our strategy right now and just, you know,
kind of blending into the environment of our users, you know, our users love that.
So, yeah, that's really our stance on that.
But yeah, just coming back to, you know, the...
the branding and rebranding.
We've actually rebranded before.
So the first V1, well, V1,
or I think maybe even before V1,
when we just put out the website in white paper,
we have this like cartoon logo.
Funny story actually, I visited Token 2049.
And I think I have a selfie with the founder of Galaxy or photo together.
And I'm actually in that initial V1 or Afi t-shirt, which is like this little animation.
At that point, we didn't know yet. We're going to be competitors.
But yeah, hopefully some healthy competition, right? Very excited about what's to come.
Awesome. Thanks for that, Benaki.
You know, interesting times. We're moving fast.
We're making sure that, you know, we uphold our standard.
I personally am super excited for at least the next quarter and obviously the next year in the future for Haffey.
And yeah, guys, so with that, that brings us towards the end of the Q&A.
And so the end of this week's AMA.
We will be here same place, same time next week.
So if you do have any further questions or if you want to, you know,
cast in a question, you can do so.
Starting Friday, Friday is when our AMA kind of question post opens.
So that's where you can leave all the questions.
And obviously you can add the questions live on the AMA as well.
But yeah, guys, thanks again for everyone for joining GM, GM.
And we'll see you guys next week.
