I was really looking forward to talking with Monsters.Fun.
It's a shame they're not here.
Maybe they'll pop in later today.

But good. I mean, it gives us a chance to focus on Dokis because, again, I don't think as many people realize what's going on with Dokis. You guys just announced a really awesome partnership,
but wanted to give a quick overview about what dokis is where you guys came from
a little bit of background so we can get into the new awesome stuff yeah sure um i guess background
to start you know we uh we're an existing web3 community coming from avalanche um we minted out
we were the fastest minting out collection on avalanche like last january I think it was, in less than a minute or something ridiculous like that.
We had a ton of hype and Avalanche NFTs were really hot for a quick minute there.
But things kind of died out over the summer.
And at that point, a lot of teams probably would have just abandoned their projects and rugs, honestly.
But not Dokis, not the Doki team.
We have a vision for what we want to build.
And a little over a year later, here we are.
So we started out with trying to build a viral IP.
Our first attempt was called Doki High,
and these were these more goblin-esque
Dokubi characters from Korean folklore.
And, you know, they all had their unique personalities.
And through our testing on, like, TikTok
and Instagram and YouTube and whatnot,
we just found that
people weren't relating enough to these characters.
And so last September, October, we went back to the drawing board, came up with these cute
white chaotic fluff balls from scratch, and quickly went viral from there.
I think it was within a couple of weeks of posting
on starting to post on tiktok that our first video started taking off and hitting 100 000 views you
know quickly 500 000 a million views and um so that was really exciting at that point we really
knew that we had you know a sticky viral character uh it didn't have any sort of like background story or lore or anything like that yet.
It was essentially just a character
that we were fitting into all these training audios
that you see on other popular Web3 IPs,
like Chimpers and Pudgy Penguins and Sappy Seals
and some others that are doing the same sort of
thing and so yeah now we're working with a couple of different studios to kind of upscale and refine
the characters if you go through our tiktok you'll see a few different iterations of the doki characters
like these we're getting to the point where they're finalized now, but at the time they were going viral, they were very much, you know, just incomplete.
And so we partnered with Chavo Studio
based out of Los Angeles.
Their founder was the lead animator
for The Simpsons for 20 plus years.
So got a lot of talent on their team,
a lot of industry connections.
Their founder does a lot of theme park attraction designs
for like Universal Studios, Hollywood, and Japan.
And they've got writers.
I think one of them's working on a feature film
with DreamWorks right now.
They've just got a lot of industry connections
and a lot of experience.
So we're really excited to be working with them.
We're also partnering with Igloo Studio based out of Thailand.
We found that through our TikTok viewership,
a lot of our viewers were from Southeast Asia,
so like Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, that region,
with some viewers from Japan and China and Korea and things like that as well.
So we really wanted to partner with an Asia-centric studio to kind of tailor these characters more towards the audience,
because we decided that would be our main demographic, essentially.
So when we do merchandising, things like that,
QIPs are very popular in Asia.
Hello, Kideo, most popular example.
But another recent one, LaBubu, is another big inspiration
for us.
And so, yeah, essentially, we're getting to the point now
where we're finalizing the character designs with Igloo
Studio.
We just updated our profile picture recently,
made an announcement about that.
Also working banner images and the whole brand Bible,
essentially, with these Doki characters.
And it'll come with a fun background story and lore
that we're not quite ready to reveal yet um but that's coming
soon so be on the lookout for that exciting announcement and um yeah so here we are with
dokis now we're we got a lot in the works um you know we're we're looking at obviously doing an
nft collection um and probably also launching an IP token to go along with that.
And that'll tie in with the NFT collection, probably through like an upgradable trait system or upgradable NFTs.
Kind of similar to how, if you're familiar with like Fortnite and how how they have you know different skins for all their
seasons we'll do like seasonal trait expansions and that sort of thing and we'll use the ip token
as sort of that you know mechanism for upgrading uh give it a little bit of utility um aside from
that uh we just had a major announcement so the other the other thing we've been working on, aside from building this viral IP, is Melee Markets, which we just announced the other day.
And so that project, it's built by some members of the same team, but different business entities for legal purposes.

But that DAP that we're building,
it's going to be launching on Solana to start,
hoping to integrate it with Abstract
and the Abstract streaming platform
because there'll be a lot of synergy there.
But essentially for that project,
we're looking at building a new type of prediction markets.
And we're calling them viral markets
because essentially,
we want to capitalize on the viral nature of cultural moments,
similar to how meme coins do them on like PumpFun.
So we're calling it like a mix of PumpFun meets Polymarkets.
And yeah, essentially, we're trying to capture the cultural moment of meme coins when they launch, similar to like PumpFun meme coins, without the reputational risk of launching a meme coin or without, you know, essentially being a bag holder when the meme coin inevitably dumps and so um yeah we had a really like nice
long conversation about this um because i i didn't even understand what melee was and i did um pin
to the top of one of the like little um videos with the doki characters and stuff because you
guys have been doing all these stuff like you said you already went viral on on tiktok right um so along with having them you know having this cute
character they're going to be like the mascot for this right yeah absolutely so uh we are we're
essentially licensing our viral ip character for um in melee markets as their, you know, brand mascot,
essentially. So we're hoping to capitalize on the nature of this viral market dApp that we're
creating, along with the viral character that we're creating to kind of supercharge, you know,
essentially, the both projects that we're building.
So there'll be a lot of synergies there.
And one of the things we're looking forward to launching on Melee markets is a
Doki's token, essentially a Doki's affiliated markets where you can leverage
the Doki's IP token for betting and things like that.
And we plan to do something similar with Pudgy Penguins as well.
We're in talks with Luca to try and bring him on board with Pudgy's or a
Pengu token on Solana to start.
And yeah, it's a lot in the works.
We're really excited.

And we're just rolling out the alpha stage of the launch for Melee Markets.
And so you'll probably be seeing a lot of buzz around that.
Interlab members of our Doki community will get preferential access to that platform.

So we're really excited to essentially, you know,
help those in the inner lab that are streamers and content creators
go viral with Melee content that they're producing.
And that's kind of like the overarching, you know,
goal of our community and our project is to help everyone go viral together, whether it's
talking about our IP or talking about our DAP or using or creating with our IP and DAP
and things like that.
And then also just creating a community around supporting these creators and just helping them go viral and grow their brands,
their own personal brands and, you know, support their content and that sort of thing.
Yeah. Well, you guys just, I had pinned to the top where you had just posted your early access
link for Melee Markets. And I know that kind of on the back end, you've been connecting with
different creators, creating these different partnerships, because it is kind of like this really cool
catalyst for content creation. It gives you kind of like this topic. But I did really quick,
because Jennifer had her hand up, and I don't want her arm like losing feeling or anything.

And so that will be probably one of our first major launches
with Doki's.

But yeah, so we'll have that to look forward to.
And we're still kind of playing around with the timing between our IP launch, our IP token launch and the NFT launch.
Still trying to figure out which we want to pair the Doki's token with Abstract
after the Abstract token TGE,
or if we just want to pair it with ETH and launch it earlier.
So yeah, it's still to be determined.
I'm still trying to figure that out.
I know we've been getting asked when a lot,
but we've got some other partnerships and stuff coming up in the meantime.
And we're going to be announcing a partnership with Pudgy Asia here pretty soon.
So that'll be exciting.
Bring a lot of the Pudgy Asia community on board with Dokis.
We're also going to be launching a meme to earn campaign with Happy3.
And we definitely want to do a lot of cross IP collabs with other communities as well.
So there'll be plenty of stuff to do,
plenty of announcements before the NFT launch.
And yeah, we'll just leave it at that for now.

with all these verticals.

Also, I don't know who of your team
or if you did the the jazz clip that the dialer pin here to to the space i saw it a few days ago
and it got me super fired up kudos to whoever did that in the team it's a great video it's super
simple but it's what it's it's amazing and the second thing, obviously, the melee
is based on predictions.
But it's a very broad concept.
Can you try to tilt the R on how exactly every user can get
involved and more on the step-to-step process on how
will it go?
It's a pump-on-and-mult polymarket combination kind of thing.
But again, it's a very broad concept with the prediction.
So could you narrow it down a little bit?
I can try.
Honestly, that's more the other two team members,
the other two founders project.
I'm kind of more focused on the Doki's vertical side of things.
But essentially, you can think of like,
so we have two different ways we're looking at this.
The traditional prediction markets with you know an actual like fact-based you know um sort of
prediction and then we also have what we're calling opinion markets which is um more sorry
hold on one second my dog's being a nut um it's more like if you take the recent example of 100 men
versus a gorilla, you have some people with the opinion
that 100 men can take a gorilla, and other people
with the opinion that it wouldn't be possible, essentially.
And so we have this essentially essentially, it's like a second
order question, like, what do you think other people that are, you know, betting on this
prediction or opinion think? And so it kind of resolves through an algorithm to this surprisingly
popular answer. And then that, you know, in whoever whoever guesses right with the surprisingly
popular answer you know wins and and so when you throw in um the meme coin aspect of this
uh if you get in early enough and if there's enough volume on the markets you, there's potential for 100x and 1000x type returns similar to a meme coin. And yeah, I mean, that's essentially it. And I'd love for us to do another space specifically with Melee Markets at some point so that the other two founders can go into a lot more detail with that. But yeah. And then I forget what was the first, oh, it was regarding our animator.
Yeah. So we're working with a really kick-ass animator based out of Philippines. And he's
been with us for over a year now. And it's been amazing to really work with him and watch him evolve and grow as an animator as well.
His animations were great when we first hired him.
But it's only continued to improve as we've continued to produce these animations.
And so really excited to continue working with him.
We actually just brought on another animator,
more for GIF and sticker production and that sort of thing.
And so some of the early GIFs that you've seen
have been from that second animator.
But we're really excited to be expanding our team
and to continue growing and proliferating Doki.

Yeah, no, even more of a praise, not that much who it was behind, but obviously way better to know more in detail.
And is he also the one making the TikTok animations and clips as well, or is that a different team or more on the Igloo side?
Yeah, so the animations on TikTokok are um yeah with our animator
so we have an in-house animation team essentially and the process is like i i'm the one personally
going through all these different tiktok audios um you know viral audios trying to find ones that
kind of fit with the doki's you know ethos of cute, chaotic, and funny,
trying to find highly relatable and shareable content.
And so a lot of it comes from my side.
And I write up the specs, what I'm looking for with animations, the type of facial expressions
that I want the characters to convey at certain
points and that sort of thing. And I give all that information to our animator. He does an
amazing job of interpreting my mess of a spec that I give him. And he produces this amazing content.
And yeah, it's all him mostly. Hey, i do want to um uh interrupt for just a second
because um i have had moody waiting for for quite a while and i know that he has to actually jump
into another space so um before he has to go um hate to cut you off doggies but i want to make
sure that we have a chance to talk to monsters because i talked all kinds of shit about how
he's a few minutes late and then i even given the microphone what kind of asshole does that so what's up Moody sorry about that how's it going
sorry um I was just dropping I was picking up my sister and like um then I was looking for the
URL and I couldn't find the spaces URL and then like like I came a few minutes late so I was very
much confused.

did want to kind of yeah we can do we can do different we can uh catch up again next week
um but yeah i mean monsters tldr is an ai game um you know i guess the way i would describe is
you know we're really combining a lot of fun aspects of crypto.
You know, I love the DeFi, I love the traditional RPG like you see in Pokemon or Final Fantasy.
We're kind of combining it together into this really fun consumable package for people to really appreciate AI and crypto.
So that's how I would describe it.
I'm hearing Monst monsters.fun everywhere when the it's the
one thing that everybody is like you've got to have monsters.fun on your space like what has
called is is like creating all of this buzz because i am hearing it from everybody yeah um i think the
reason it's like uh super popular and like you know i not a huge, I'm not huge marketer on mine.
Like I'm not a skilled marketer.
I'm like, I'm doing the best I can, right?
And I think the reason it's really exposed
is because I think for a lot of people it makes,
we're tapping into huge, two huge narratives,
crypto and AI, and we're just making it very consumable, right?
Like we're packaging it into these little fun,
cute creatures so people can really understand what we're building.
And there's going to be partnerships with the IP as well
because I'm seeing some kind of crossover with community.
For the first three monsters, no.
For the first three monsters, it's just going to be IP Recreate.
And we can see we can explore with the next few monsters.
Because for season one, we'll only do seven monsters in total.
And we'll see if we'll partner up with other communities like the Pudgies, the Veras, etc.
You only have three main characters right now, right?
I mean, you got a lot of attention with
the names as well and with blaze cock and a few of the others but uh they evolve and grow as as
many might know but not everyone can you explain more on that on the bonding curve side and and
when you win and lose and how they learn true battle will be yeah yeah just so yeah i i can
answer the question a proper distinction i'll make is that we're releasing this NFT, which will be capsules.
But then the main product is this game with these three AI tokens, right?
And people can buy into these AI tokens and almost think of them as guilds and teams, right?
So if you buy into Team Blaze Club or you buy into Team Swampseer, you're joining that specific team.
And when you're a holder of that token, then you know when you're part of the if you're a holder
of that token then effectively it's you versus the other team and you versus the other community
right and uh your goal is to train the monster make it level up uh so it can be uh the other
team's monster right so you by buying the token by training the train the ai um and by winning obviously it will
level up and evolve and gain new moves gain new appearances similar to like pokemon for instance
yeah and i've seen that you were a big ufc fan now and you you're built you're picking into that um
giving them their own storylines and maybe potentially do a an alternative account for
monsters for highlights and stuff you're getting really that community very riled up and involved in a great way so super interesting as well yeah
yeah like i'm a huge ufc fan like i love the sport um although like i did talk shit about
how the next few months are admitted but i think um you know i take a lot of inspiration from like
you know how fighters talk how fighters interact with each other.
And I think we can really bring it with these monsters where they're talking shit to each other on their own.
Because these are AI agents, right?
So they have social and they have their social elements to it where they can talk to users and they can also talk to each other and talk shit, which I think will be very fun and interesting.
So does that mean like the interaction of the characters can kind of evolve as the game goes on?
So we provide these AI agents with memory.
So these agents have memory and they have a memory of being like,
okay, what was my previous conversation with this user?
What's this conversation with this other monster?
And it also has game data of like wins and losses. So it can really influence like what they're talking about
and how they're really interacting with people.

I just thought it was funny.
Like I refer to Dokis internally as Dokimons,
kind of like Pokemons, you know.
But my question was essentially, you know,
what would it take to get Doki's IP as, like, a monster in Monsters.Fun?
I think it'd be really cool to have some little Dokimons to battle with.
Yeah.
We haven't really just come up with our criteria as yet,
but, you know, we're exploring and we haven't really looked into, like,
working with other IPs. Like, you know, we've obviously thought about it you know we haven't really looked into like uh working with other ips like you know we've obviously thought about it but we haven't
really put pen to papers yet we just want to develop our first like these three monsters first
before we kind of um start working with other projects and bringing in their ip yeah makes sense
makes sense uh when you figure that out i want to be first in line. So hit me up.
It's the peer pressure space. Well, Moody, if you have to hop, I'm going to go ahead and let you do that. I know that you were just in Dubai last week and you came right back and had to get right back in it. So I'm sure that your time is stretched. creators and investors and that sort of thing. That'll be probably launching towards the end of this month,
if all goes well.
We're still finalizing some stuff on the back end,
but everything's aligning for starting end of this month.
And from there, yeah, I think over the next couple months,
we'll move into a beta and then a publicly release later this summer,
if all goes well. So exciting times ahead for for dokis and for melee okay so that's that's gonna be
that's gonna be launching on soul and then we don't know when dokis necessarily is gonna launch
are we kind of like is that something that's planned to launch around the time that you guys
are launching melee on abstract or are those things that you guys are launching Melee on Abstract?
Or are those things that you're just trying to keep a little more separated?
Yeah, I don't know.
Because of some technical differences between Solana and Abstract,
I don't know how soon we can launch on Abstract for Melee.
But that is the ultimate goal,
you know, to kind of be omni-chain with this Melee product
to kind of go beyond just, you know, Web3 blockchains.
Even moving into Web2 would be ideal,
like getting Melee onto Twitch streams and things like that
would be amazing as well.
So we're not really trying to tie the launch of the Doki's IP
on Abstract with Melee.
They're kind of two separate verticals
on their own timelines.
But we do want to kind of capitalize where we can there.
So we'll see what happens.
Can't make any promises right now.
But yeah, if it happens that a launch on Abstract,
you know, can come in the next few months to coincide with Doki's,
that would kind of be like the best of both worlds, I think.
Yeah, well, I keep jogging back to Melee
because it is like a partnership
that Doki's is going to be the mascot for. And like you mentioned, Doki's is basically licensing
itself to melee as its mascot. But you mentioned something really interesting earlier where you
said partnering with Abstract Asia, which means you've been in touch with my boy Brian. I know that
you've been kind of connecting with the Abstract team a lot. How's that been?
To clarify, it was Pudgy Asia more specifically than Abstract Asia, but if there's an Abstract

The connections you've been providing us has been amazing. We've been hopping on calls left and
right. And it's just been super valuable to us. And we're super appreciative and grateful for
everything that you're doing for us there. Yeah, for sure. I mean, again, one of the best
things about being part of this ecosystem is we kind of built the abstract vibe on like the kind of community undercurrent of Pudgy, which gave us this kind of,
you know, all for one, one for all kind of thing. It really is exciting to be able to see these
really cool IP projects and be like, great, this really does kind of jive with what we're doing.
Why don't we connect each other? Why don't we see how we can grow together? Because like you mentioned,
Dokis is already something that's been viral on TikTok. For all intents and purposes,
Dokis doesn't necessarily need to be partnered with Pudgy or, you know, with Abstract Asia to
be successful. However, to be able to kind of support each other and grow together as brands
and grow together as communities is something that we don't have the benefit of doing in Web2.
That's something that's only possible in Web3 community.
So, yeah, something that's super special.

want to say something about dokis because dokis is there's not just a little round character you
guys have like two characters right so before you guys just think of the or you're just going to
stick with the little round character i don't know am i releasing alpha am i talking too much
it's a great question um so when we were creating the characters originally, we couldn't decide between a little round
ball character and more of like a potato bean shaped character.
And so we kind of just stuck with both.
And they've kind of evolved together and have an interesting dynamic between them.
If you look at some of the animations that we've done on TikTok.
And so for the NFT collection, we're still trying to decide if we want to include both of them or just stick with one.
At least for Melee anyway, the main mascot would be the little guy.
But yeah, I mean, it's still up in the air.
Personally, I love them both.
I think they both make great you know merchandisable products and
um i think it's more interesting to have two characters with a fun dynamic between them
versus just one character so they make a super cute team like it gives me like you remember the
commercials where it had like the regular m&m and the peanut m&m exactly yeah that's the vibes it
gives me or i don't know if anybody else like knows like molay and pew pew i don't know if that's like way too obscure for some people does
