Thank you. Yo, yo. Hey, brother. Yo, yo.
Hey, brother.
Yeah, we'll give it a couple minutes.
I know it usually takes a few minutes to get people to gather in.
I think it'll be a good space today.
I know we'll keep it tight to an hour.
I know there's a lot of other spaces going on.
Dutchie's got a space at 1230, I think, as well.
And I think 1 o. And, uh,
I think one o'clock is the, the welcome apes space,
which I'm excited about.
Cause it's my first one.
That'll be a fun one.
Cam's I think in there for a bit.
And then I think,
a few new,
there's actually been a lot of new apes last week.
I think even after I joined,
I think there's been like nine or 11 or something like that.
It's been crazy.
So yeah, it's been good. um yeah we'll get into it um
i got a lot of uh a lot of nifty vicious accounts in here but um just so you know i got a i got a sponsor for the space not non-financial just to support uh said he's got a a new marketplace launching called ui it's
a platform for uh mostly focused on on eth uh ape chain and base but mostly on ape chain so i'm
pretty stoked for this platform and uh what he's going to be launching and you should definitely
look at getting um well i mean everybody can do it but you should look at definitely getting
things on there on his marketplace platform they're're coming out, I think, July.
Yeah, definitely interested.
Got to give it a peek just following it out.
Yeah, they're in beta right now, so I think it's closed beta, but I've taken a peek back about two months ago,
and it's really cool the stuff they're building on their marketplace.
Like I said, they're very Ape-focused, ApeChain-focused,
which is really cool, and talking with Sid,
he definitely wants to highlight a lot of great projects on a chain on uh on the marketplace feature page so
i'm gonna give us some love but yeah we'll get going here a sec i see uh i see don diablo joined
us i see donna i see uh aspiring nobody but uh yeah we'll roll in a sec here. I think a lot of people are... It was Canada Day yesterday in the US.
A lot of people are probably off on vacation.
I know Independence Day is Friday.
I know Sid wants to come up real quick here for a sec.
We'll let him kill some air time for the next minute
while we gather some community into the room.
What up, Sid?
Hey, what's going on bro bro uh and good to meet you king i kind of think we've been in a couple spaces together nonetheless i'm giving you a follow back uh dustin's underneath the ui
uh banner over there i don't know if he's have a chance to chop chop it up but yeah we are
we are building what we believe is going to be the next evolution of marketplaces over
18 different asset classes services physical goods all different things at
old that all lend itself really well the blockchain print-on-demand etc I won't
spend a lot of time and I'll just say that we're excited to be a sponsor been
working with hype for many years now,
and hopefully we will become the default place for Ape Chain to go.
So, appreciate you, bro.
Thanks, bro.
Yeah, definitely listen in.
I mean, King Pickles is building some cool stuff.
We're definitely going to get into, obviously, Dengs,
obviously a little bit about him, and, of course, Dem Witches,
which has been kind of the hot topic in a lot of spaces last week and a half, two weeks, a lot of us have
been playing the Dem Witch game, I love it, but I also hate it, because I was only once the witch,
and I got screwed, just because Jay Walker's just, you know, he's that type of guy,
anyways, but yeah, yo Sid, thanks for being being here bro i'm excited for you guys to be uh powering us and i'm sure a lot of projects that uh we talked
to and have talked to over the past couple weeks and into the future uh are going to look forward
to uh talking with you i'm definitely going to talk with you and have a space with you as well
um being that you know we will be one of the the main focuses for for ape chain for a marketplace
and dive into for some of the the founders in this room and some other community members that want to
really know what,
what this marketplace will do to set itself apart from magic and,
and obviously open sea and whatnot.
So we'll definitely get into it.
maybe if you hang around,
usually we have questions at the end.
King people doesn't get any questions,
we'll maybe just spend like two,
three minutes on getting into it,
but we're going to hard stop at one o'clock Pacific,
which is like three Eastern. Cause we got our, uh, hard stop at one o'clock Pacific, which is like three Eastern.
Because we got our space at one o'clock with, I think Law is doing the space, as well as, you know, he's got Cam from Ape Chain doing their Welcome Wednesday space.
So, yeah, man, thanks for being here.
But let's get into it, King Pickle.
Thanks for being here. But let's get into it, King Pickle. Thanks for being here.
You know, it was great meeting you the last couple weeks, getting to know you better,
obviously being in a lot of spaces with you, you know, jumped into Dengs.
I know you guys ended up, you know, gifting my girlfriend one as well, which is awesome.
She loves her Deng.
And, you know, the first thing she said, obviously, is, is that Mu Deng?
I'm like yeah
probably is because it's dang and it looks like a hippo so yeah definitely is um but i want to get
into it really you know really quickly and start by you know asking more and i've asked every guest
so far you know what brought you into web3 you know what's your origin story and maybe get into
like you know how you ended up here today, where you're at.
Yeah, definitely.
First off, GM, thanks for having me.
Nifty gave you that follow back.
I'll be digging into the marketplace, looking forward to learn more about that and definitely need some more stuff like this, especially with real world products.
So awesome to see.
And so for those that don't know, hey, I'm KP, King Pickle, Awesome to see. Yeah. And. Oof. So.
For those that don't know.
Hey, I'm KP.
King Pickle.
And Dangz.
And Damn Witches are my two projects.
Or kind of part of the same.
You're rugging.
Oh. Can you hear me now? Yeah. Yeah, you're good. You I'm like, can you hear me now?
Yeah, you're good.
You're good now.
Oh, sorry about, I don't know what was happening.
Yeah, so I joined the space back in, I think it was late 2021.
I missed the board eight minutes, but I joined a lot of ETH communities.
And I kind of fell into this space very weirdly because I'm an artist.
That's how I came into this space. And I genuinely had some friends who were just like deep into crypto. And they said there was like, you know, a surge of artists having the ability to make an impact
and actually do something and raise, make money for the first time. Like, and that,
you know, was wild to me. Back in like, I did a giveaway for OGD Farmer,
who was just doing an art giveaway.
I drew something for him.
And so that kind of just opened my eyes
to a lot of possibilities in this space,
initially financially, right? Which is what we're in the first place but then as soon as I got here I started
joining some of these NFC communities and then just like falling in love with the community piece
so a lot of my early projects that I was like you know spent a lot of my time in were crypto
moreies and alien friends and uh you know a lot of those like more cute, fun, community driven projects on ETH, you know, back in the day.
And then, yeah, it's kind of took off from there.
I just kind of got immersed in the space the way that we all do, right?
Just learning more, you know, making mistakes.
And yeah, that was kind of how I jumped in.
Yeah, I mean, you know, I think a lot of us are in the same boat that came through in 2021.
I think, you know, we, for the most part, a lot of us were either, you know, trying
to find our way into NFTs and trying to figure out what that actually meant, you know, because
I was in the same boat.
I kind of learned this, this idea of digital collectibles on a blockchain.
And in my mind, you know, when you're thinking back in time, and even when we talked to Normies today,
we're like trying to wrap our heads around that back in the day, right?
How do you stick a piece of artwork onto this thing called blockchain, right?
And this ether.
So yeah, I get it.
I missed the boat too.
And you know, the main thing is you got in and you're here now and you're,
you're building, right?
So, so you, you were obviously on ETH, like you said,
I remember some of the names you just mentioned.
What, what brought you to being like, I want to be a founder. Like what, what got you to that point where like, even before like Dang's is like, what's the, what's the inspiration of like, yo, I want to be a founder because you know, as you know, and I'm sure a lot of founders in the room know it's, it's one of those precipices of love. You're, you're never going to turn back, right? You're going to go there. You're going to be there. You know what it's going to take to be a founder. Like what made you think like, I want to be a founder.
Yeah. So, I mean, towards the end of 2021, right. I'm getting deep into the space more and more. And I had the idea for like a product, a vision.
It was for a project and an NFT that never ended up getting released, but it was called the snack shop.
It was for a project and an NFT that never ended up getting released, but it was called the snack shop.
And it was me and a friend called string cheese.
And it was back in those days where like mints were raising millions of dollars.
So what people were doing and the visions and the products that people were trying to execute on were significantly larger.
They were more involved, right?
They weren't something that could be spun up in a couple of weeks or dropped on an nfts to me in like 10 seconds and not to throw shade on
those it was just a different time right and so we spent like not kidding like six months building
this nft project out and it was one of those it was honestly one of the biggest lessons i learned
in this space we just we let like our analysis paralysis
and trying to perfect every little thing delay us to the point where the market was so different by
the time we launched it and seeing everybody drop these mints, like, oh, they're making millions of
dollars on a Meccaverse raise. Like anybody could do that. Like, and then we get into it and find
it's like very, very difficult.
So that was like my experience with Snack Shop.
And so like maybe mid or early 2022, you know, when we decided we're not going to launch that, it just didn't seem right.
We didn't think we, you know, it was in a place where it made sense.
You know, I ended up writing a thread of like a thread on the woes of being a founder that
ended up getting a lot of attention.
And that ended up actually connecting me to a majority of the people that I know now in this space,
who seemed to really resonate with a lot of those difficulties.
So that was back in like 2022, you know, super difficult and challenging,
but it was something that like I wanted to undertake because I had a larger vision.
Fast forward to like you know last
year 2024 towards the end of last year being a builder you know uh still has significant challenges
and a lot of those things still exist but a lot of those barriers have been obliterated and a lot
of that especially by aid chain cost barriers you know tools and access, support and community, like those things are
just hooked in here.
And because of that, like, even though I don't, you know, wasn't necessarily able to take
a vision at the same scale, you know, I was able to take some of my smaller visions and
be able to like run with that here.
And it's just super challenging and gratifying and to be able to build something. So that's kind of why, uh, I decided to pick the extremely, uh, stressful and, uh, sometimes,
uh, thankless job of being the founder, but, uh, but we're out here doing it, you know?
I mean, every, every founder that comes into space and everybody, everybody that's building
even community, like you gotta, you gotta give, uh, hats off and respect. I mean, I think a lot of us are from the daily,
you know, and ultimately at the end of the day we're, we're doing it to, to build ourselves
up in terms of our legacy. But I think we're also trying to support, you know, this ecosystem
and kind of cascaded out to the, to the masses. Right. And we're doing it in our own unique ways.
And, you know, I want to give you respect for that and everybody else that's in this room as
well. Cause it's, it is a challenge. It's a grind. And I use that word very, very seriously. It is
a grind, right? It's a daily grind. It's an hourly grind sometimes. Right. So, um, but let's get into
like, dangs. Cause I mean, to me, like the character you've picked, um, is not normal,
right? Let's be honest. Like, it's not a normal character you'd see. It's cute. Um, and you've
definitely taken the artwork and spun into a way that's cute um traditionally like i'm not gonna you know pick on any animals but traditionally
like nobody would pick a you know a hippo right and that's what it is so what inspired you to
number one do to that that character specifically and um i mean i'm assuming dang you can get to
the origin story of dang but you know what made you decide on the name Dang and obviously this character?
Yeah, so kind of the same thing, you know, that sparked the snack shop, which was I had an idea and then, you know, wanted to look for like an effective vehicle to carry that.
to carry that right and so for me personally like mudang was just like something that always made
me laugh and smile and it was all over you know reddit and everywhere i was basically all throughout
2024 so uh it was really surprising to me to see that nobody had capitalized on like that ip so to
speak yet and uh yeah so it felt like just perfect and fun and i also was really inspired by designers
um as well like i really tried to take a lot of the things i like about their style and implement
it with dangs because it just felt brandable um and they felt like characters that people could
essentially build a lore behind right even though that's not
necessarily like our whole bag is a project like i know that a lot of people love to do that
right to be able to create their own content with their dangs
yeah no sorry i was kind of get on mute here yeah no i think like i said it's it's definitely
a character that is really cute my my my girlfriend you said is is that mudang i'm like yeah it looks like it is right and
as we know like mudang has been a a fairly cultural and popular thing in this ecosystem
with especially the the mudang coin and obviously we know the real mudang that's out there
and so i think that you know it's it's a perfect fit um the fact you went with that versus like
you know I'm thinking King Pickle is probably gonna come with like a pickle project and I see
um Uncle Mac down there and stuff but yeah it's it's been cool man like I said when I when I first
jumped into the space you know you definitely were one of the first projects I heard about
um you know being that you know spotlight was just uh kind of wrapping up and uh being just
joining a chain and and seeing the the community you know push towards you know top was just uh kind of wrapping up and uh being just joining a chain and and seeing
the the community you know push towards you know top 10 and this and that and again you were
definitely one of the projects that was present you as a founder was definitely present so you
know i want to give you respect for that um i want to get more into the project itself so
yeah you know i see lord vader down there you know including myself you decided to do what's
called like we call it we reference it, we references the toggle, right.
But you added something that was called dynamic to the NFT itself.
So for those that don't know, I want you maybe to explain like your, your version of like
the toggle and the dynamic changes from, you know, the existing PFP that you can see on
open sea or magic eaten to what this, the secondary PFP is.
to what this secondary PFP is.
Yeah, yeah.
So, you know, we definitely didn't invent the toggle,
but we were very much so inspired by a lot of projects
like Feline Fiends, Little Lemon Friends,
even MeBits, right?
Who just have the ability to toggle between different things
on a single NFT.
And for me, it was more so I wanted to just give people
another option that they can resonate with for their PFP
without having to drop another mint.
No shade to anyone who is doing it.
It's just I wanted to be able to do it that way
for my own reasons.
Yeah, and so that was kind of a plan,
you know, even before we had even launched, right,
to just have those ready to go.
And we pushed that as a metadata update
about, I think, two or three weeks after we minted so we minted on january 11th and i think
that was towards the end of january when we did that um also i have been working for like months
on uh some art updates uh they've been like kind of inspired by some other art projects
on Ape Chain, specifically Token Gators,
to step things up a little bit and fix clipping
and shading issues that I honestly rushed through
when we were going through the chaos of generation
and minting and picking traits.
So all of that just goes back to saying
we can update that metadata when we want and keep developing that.
And, you know, a lot of room for us to be able to just keep adding more with more toggles if we want to do that in the future.
We also just thought it would be fun to, like, do a first and bring another mechanic on over to A-Chain that we had seen work really well on ETH.
mechanic on over to afian that we had seen work really well on eth um you know i think there have
been a couple of people or someone i heard today mentioned that they were going to do something
similar um even you know i think it could be a cool thing for a lot of projects that already have
all of those assets readily available on their website right being able to put that onto your
token so it's successful on chain and yeah i think it's cool aspect like i said before
you know i know i know lord vader's done it i've done it you know i think the use case of having
your your existing nft be utilized for gamified opportunities whether it's just a you know
secondary version of your your pfp or or just taking uh the the aspect of gamifying i think
a lot of people need to maybe look more into that. I think it's a cool experience.
I think most people are surprised when they first see it because they don't realize,
that there is something hidden between their existing PFP and what's behind
I think it's,
it may be small and it may be something simple,
but I think it just,
it adds value to the experience.
And I think it's really cool.
And when I saw,
the ones you did,
I was just,
it brought back like a smile to my face.
I'm like, yes, another guy that's doing this.
This is awesome.
Because, again, it's something that I think a lot of people don't do is be creative within the existing NFC itself.
And I think, you know, it's one of those opportunities that a lot of people can utilize, right?
I mean, it's simple.
It's rewarding.
And that's what I really love about what you did as well. So it's really cool. fun and uh that's that's what i really i love about what you did
as well so it's really cool um i also saw you know yeah and i look what i'm sorry
oh i was just gonna say and i love all the people who have done like some is there's been some nfts
where like people are putting consoles and you know like fully built networks that you can access
and like utilize within the nfts like i've been seeing some of that since and i yeah i just love that stuff yeah so if you guys haven't checked that out like i said you just you
just go to either openc or to magic and you just you know click on either are there the well you
have to actually go into his collection go to the dang's collection you know you click on the you
know pfp you expand it and then should be a toggle uh that says i believe it's the dangs logo that's on
there that you click on and it'll it'll reveal the secondary pfp which i believe is pixelated so
um yeah man it's cool like i said i hope i hope you experience more with that and do more things
with that i think it's really cool um i love the fact that and to kind of switch gears a bit i love
the fact that you're rewarding your community as well i notice you know obviously a lot on the
timeline that you're rewarding your community with other. I noticed, you know, obviously a lot on the timeline that you're rewarding your community with other NFTs
from other communities, which is awesome
because that's one thing I believe ApeChain's really good at
is cross-pollination.
And I think a lot of us, as far as, you know,
since I've been on ApeChain, you know,
we're all coming together in rooms
as founders of different projects
and even communities of different projects
and just kind of coming together as one
to support ApeChain and just there's no PVP. it's all really everybody just kind of coexisting and supporting each other
so the fact that you know guys like you are just you know supporting other projects getting in and
and giving away to your community that are supporting you the opportunity to you know
onboard to these other other communities has been amazing man so um tell me a little bit about
your experience with spotlight because Cause I mean, again,
I was, I was, when I first came into this, it was just ending. Um, most of the guests I've had
join me, um, haven't been through that experience. So maybe for those in the room that are new to,
to spotlight, cause there is going to be a season as you coming up. Tell them,
coming up tell tell us maybe more a bit about your experience in spotlight with the community
tell us maybe more a bit about your experience in spotlight with the community.
yeah if you are here and you don't know what it is uh ape chain ape coin essentially funded and
hosted and put on a you know multi-month tournament basically that factored in engagement and on on
chain on the timeline you know buying nfts, minting, all these things with tons,
like crazy prizes. And it drove a lot of activity across the entire chain. Like stuff was,
you know, moving every day. And I loved, you know, it was, it was stressful at points because,
you know, we were happy and fortunate to be like in the top three
pretty much the entire time uh that the spotlight was going on they would change the rules every
once in a while and we'd wonder if we would get knocked and um yeah but it was really fun because
uh yeah we just got to see everyone super super active. Bang's community really showed up, man.
It was super, super impressive.
I think a lot of, it gave us a lot of visibility
outside of our own community too,
you know, brought in a lot of new people.
Yeah, so I really don't have too much negative to say about it.
We ended in third place, super proud to be next to legends
like Gobs and G like what that's crazy um
and yeah uh yeah it just felt surreal but also like you know nice to be a little validated again
you know with uh people at least enjoying what we're doing or how we're approaching marketing
or whatever that is you know um and yeah yeah spotlight was dope i'm excited for season two uh it's gonna be
hype we have no plans of leading uh leaving the top three so just keep an eye out well i was gonna
say since uh you're here and as well as i think uh i think james is down there with gobs i know
rita's not in the room but uh we're gonna come for you bro we're coming for you oh you can try
yeah we're coming for you bro we weren't here at the start we're gonna come in we're gonna come for you bro we're coming for you oh you can try you can try yeah
we're coming for you bro we weren't here at the start we're gonna come in we're gonna come in the
end and we're gonna finish we're gonna come at you bro but it's fun it's all mantra but it's fun
um let's let's roll into you know the the hottest topic the last two weeks and bro i'm telling you
right now like it's been one of the funnest things that i think of a lot of us that are in the
community that you know know, have spaces.
I know the last three nights or so in G-Spot space, we've been playing, you know, Dem Witches.
And, you know, I really want to get into that because I think a lot of communities can utilize it for some fun and really just participate.
And the fact you built it out for everyone has been great.
built it out for everyone uh has been great i heard also just so i'm clear because i haven't
really dived into the back end of it that if you hold dengs you may actually have a better position
but maybe get into dem witches itself so people understand what dem which is a part of your
ecosystem yeah definitely i'll kind of explain like what it is but then i also kind of want to
like talk about how it came to be because it's a thing.
So for anyone who doesn't know, Dem Witches is a fully on-chain social deduction game.
So think like Among Us or Mafia, right, where everybody is assigned a role and one person is essentially an imposter.
And the only way to essentially identify who that person is, is to converse,
like deduce, try to like trick and figure things out and involves a lot of teamwork.
And the goal is if you're assigned a role as a town folk, you have to find the witch before she
eliminates everyone. And if you're the witch, you get, you get to eliminate one person each night
round. So your job is to essentially be the last person standing and eliminate everyone.
The way we have it set up is it kind of works like poker rooms where you can create lobbies or games.
So there can be, you know, 20 different games running at the same time, 5 to 12 players a game.
And whoever the host is gets to set the offering amount or the buy-in for the game.
So that could be as low as 1Ape or as high as they want to set it.
At the end, that offering gets split essentially minus our platform fee of 6.9%
to whoever the winners is, whether it's the town folk or the witch.
And so that's kind of the gist of the game.
And the whole thing is on-chain, so you can verify that roles have been assigned randomly.
You can go and check to see who's been voting on, you know, who voted on who.
You could see at the end of the game, payouts claimed and, you know, all the rounds changing.
And the beautiful part is that we run like 95% of those transactions with our backend wallet,
meaning that you don't have to go click pop-ups every time you vote. You don't have to go
click a pop-up, you know, to shift the rounds. We do all of that. You don't have to go click a pop-up, you know, uh, to shift the rounds.
We do all of that. You don't have to pay gas for it. Yeah. And it's been so fun. Um,
we, you know, I was working on Dangs and the, what we, I was actually working on was something
completely different, like three months ago. It was, you know, a tool based around aggregating
news in this space. It was something that know, a tool based around aggregating news in the space.
It was something that I thought would be a really useful utility, but we were going through this
phase in this space. And I was just trying to be as market aware as I could. And I just felt like
what everyone was craving and what everyone was enjoying and what I was enjoying the most were
like some degenerate fun, right? Like, and as much as I love like poker every night, I love it so much.
Like I'm a degenerate, like, and, but you know, in, we go into these spaces and it's can be kind
of boring to just hear chip shuffling in the background. Right. And there's not as much social
engagement, uh, in poker or it's not necessarily required to be able to do it right so that's kind of where the
idea sparked um is that i wanted to do something that you know would be not only fun for me but
like really fit into what this space has been showing that they like so this game is like
perfect for spaces for discord vcs like we have a vision of using this in bubbles in the future
like as a first step if
not other side one day like and yeah it's just like you said it's just been so much fun like
every night we're playing games people are like laughing and it's just it's a shit talkers game
right the better you are at shit talking the better you are at like you know being sneaky
and strategizing the better you're gonna do in this game yeah it's been fun like i said you know
and for those that don't know you know you can you can you can set your i think you set up to
maximum of what 12 players is that is that correct yeah 12 players max per game five player minimum
and then again with that for those that don't know you um can set up i don't know if you have
a minimum for ape or if there is an ape requirement but i know most people have been setting up as one ape per entry and so maybe get into that that
aspect of it so people can understand if they want to actually dive in and play
yeah definitely so you you can set the amount the host will set the amount for the game so you can
see there might be a game for one ape to get in there might be a game for a hundred eight
right and maybe in the future we'll make it so you can use erc 721 so everybody could throw in a dong
sock right uh we just have to figure out how splitting pots of dong socks uh would work but
um yeah and so we did put a one ape minimum on there uh every game absolutely does have a cost
on us so we at the very minimum wanted to make
sure that we were covering our own costs to make sure that this could scale uh one example being
is that we use pyth entropy for random number generation and so every game that starts we got
to pay them like 0.0258 right it's not much right but when you have a lot of games that can end up
adding up so like part of that platform feed is to go to that and that was the only reason we avoided doing
the free games but as you saw a lot of people love those one eight games you know which is what 60
cents to play um and the the odds are pretty good like if there's 10 people nine town folk if you
die as a town folk you still get half your offering back, if you die as a town folk, you still get half your offering back.
And if you live as a winning town folk, then you get the remainder split.
So, and it's pretty tough to win as the witch, especially when you got like 12 people in there and you got to go through like eight rounds of voting.
It's a thing.
Yeah, 100%.
And just, you know, cautionary for those that play for the first time, don't play with Jay Walker. A hundred percent. And, and just, uh, you know, uh, cautionary,
um, for those that play for the first time, don't play with Jay Walker. He's going to try to deuce you, um, to win. So if you guys play against a guy named Jay Walker in a, in a, in a space,
uh, just act dumb, just act dumb. Don't answer his questions. He's going to try to sleep you
out within the first 30 seconds and you're one able to go bye-bye real quick. So just, um,
just throwing it out there cautionary,
like I said,
it's been,
it's been fun.
Like this is one of those,
those degenerate games that I think a lot of people have got into that.
this is why I love this.
I love this,
this chain,
I love this space.
I love you guys as builders because man,
between what you've done with obviously,
James and, you know um james and you know
the coliseum and other builders just building cool stuff on this platform just to be able to give
people the fun side of like nfts and web3 i think that's been cool man and i'm looking forward to
i'm sure you're gonna do some some tweaks to them witches i'm sure to kind of add more value but
so far man i think a lot of us that have played have loved it.
I think, you know, if you guys haven't played it, definitely jump in.
I think that, you know, if you're a degenerate,
even if you have a community, I think your community would love playing this.
I know that you have something coming up as well as a collab, I believe, as well.
I think in, is it the Minidor Discord?
Yeah, so, go James is down there.
What's up, James?
Yes, tonight we're going to be doing, or sorry, not tonight, tomorrow night, 8 p.m. EST, we're going to be running our first game night in a series of like, I think like 25 scheduled right now.
So every single night we'll be working with another NFT community or DAP or tool on the Apechain ecosystem, just getting their community
engaged, teaching them how to play the game, getting them at least signed up for an account.
We will be sponsoring and giving out prizes for all those game nights. And then the beautiful
part is hopefully that helps drive some more engagement within those NFT communities. And
it's just a nice little value add engagement that we can help take care of and provide for the community. And then it obviously gives us some more engagement and visibility for us.
So yeah, we're excited to kick that off.
And obviously, it just makes a lot of sense to start with gobs and mintos.
So tomorrow night, make sure you have a gob or a mintotar.
Run into the Discord.
If you have any questions ahead of time or you want to strategize, feel free to hit me
I'll give you some pointers.
And then you would kind of hit on it. D Dangs always will have a boost in the game. So
the more dangs you hold, the more likely you are to be the witch. While it can be sometimes
more challenging, it can be way, way more rewarding to be the witch. So the more you have of those,
better your chances are. It doesn't guarantee
anything, but it is a factor in our formula that includes the random number generation.
And then the other thing is we have the ability to set other NFT communities as boosted as well.
So tomorrow night, we'll be setting both gobs and mintos as boosts. So the more gobs you have,
the more mintos you have tomorrow night, the more likely you are to be the witch.
And we can kind of mix that up
and engage with other communities that way.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to get you to jump in our community
because we do a lot of games.
We do bingos on Wednesday nights
and then we do pokers on Saturday.
So I think adding another cool little game
and I know our community loves to compete would be cool.
So I think we should definitely.
Oh yeah, let's make it happen.
I'll be anytime just
hit me up we'll we'll put it on the calendar i'll put up some prizes and we'll get the whole we'll
get up yeah for sure i mean i i think you know our like i said our community is very you know
they like to compete and i i'd love for some more community to start hating on each other
even more like you know what i mean like just just go at each other's throats it'd be really cool
yeah and if you're hearing this down there and we haven't
talked you're probably on my list i see you don diablo and typical tigers like i there's a bunch
of communities that i still want to chat with and get something going with uh just going one at a
time here but um yeah no i'm really excited about that and then the idea is that by the end of these
game nights at the end of the month hopefully a lot of the aging community knows
how to play this has a little bit of experience enjoys playing it right and then we can start some
very big tournaments with a leaderboard and a robust xp system right um because we just don't
want to spend a lot of that time in the tournament ramping up like teaching people how to play and
getting them into it so we'll do that ahead of time and then we'll drop that tournament and uh the leaderboard yeah that'd be dope just having
like and i don't know how robust it would be like having a hundred player tournament
you know big prize you know just uh hopefully maybe some like uh reverse moves you know just
to get save a life or something it'd be this endless king pickle it's endless you know
it's endless the more you can dream the more you can do right i think it'd be cool i mean again
we all love tournaments especially in this space yeah you know what i mean like i remember when um
unboxing did their their their tournament right and that was cool i think the the march madness
stuff with the brackets i think that was cool too so i think yeah this this space definitely feeds on
on competitive uh being competitive and competitive so i think that was cool too. So I think, yeah, this, this space definitely feeds on, on, competitive, uh, being competitive and competitive. So I think that would be really cool for you to,
to launch that. Uh, I'm going to circle back really quickly to Dengs and then we'll, uh,
for those that are new, thank you for being here. Um, this is, I think episode five, um,
I've launched this now two weeks. So what I'm basically doing is any founders or builders that
want to have a one-on-one conversation, like I'm having with King Pickle, I definitely want to tap in with you.
We can definitely talk about your project and who you are.
But I'm going to continue these series Monday, Wednesday, Fridays.
Monday and Wednesdays are usually at noon, Pacific, 3 o'clock Eastern for an hour.
And then on Fridays, I usually do a 7 o'clock Pacific, 10 o'clock Eastern.
And so definitely tap in.
But I want to circle back really quickly on Dang's for a sec because I know, you we we talk about dangs when you built and we talk about them witches so what's the future
look like for those that are dang holders i want to be dang holders in the future what's what's
the future look like for king pickle and dangs yeah so i mean right now we're putting all of
our energy into dumb witches but it is a full product of dangs everything that we do with this
you know any money that we make from this it's all going back into building up Dengs or benefiting Dengs in one way or another,
right? My kind of personal goal for myself was, you know, getting people to mint Dengs was my
raise from the Deng holders, right? I don't want to go back to them for another raise to be able
to build stuff. But this game is essentially going to allow the dang holders to benefit in a couple of ways
that I don't fully want to share. But our vision with the game is like, make this really, really,
really big. You know, we're doing I talk about all this stuff that we're doing with game nights
and NFT communities here. And this is still really early for this game. We have like, a lot of very
serious and like, put down plans to integrate Glyph and
hide all the web three wires behind this and get this into like a very widespread wide web two
played game. You know, we love web three. We love Ape Chain, right? But we, we, all the people who
are here, they've got the dangs already, right? So now we want to bring in all these people from
outside to like this
ecosystem and our game is going to be the way that we do that, like, or we try to do it at least,
you know, and, you know, even like looking at a very humble goal, like in comparison or relativity
to even the smallest mini games that get released on Steam or on the app store, right, that involve
in-game purchases, it would be a significant
impact on this ecosystem. And I think we're going to see some more of that stuff, you know,
from things like Bathroom Blitz and Other Side coming out, which I'm super pumped for.
But, you know, there's nothing wrong with creating all these different types of avenues
and games for people to be able to enter this ecosystem from the outside. So yeah, we have a
really, really, really big Web2 push that we're going to be going after with them, which is, and we hope that that in turn is
going to benefit those dang holders. I don't really want to say rev share yet because realistically,
it's just so far off. I don't know what that looks like enough to be able to say that that's
an actual value or benefit for dang holders but i can say that like
in every decision i make i see aspiring nobody down there if offzal were in here if hudson were
in here they will tell you like every single conversation i have every single thing i do like
i make sure that it's going to benefit dangs one way or another so yeah it's cool like i said i i
always try to push the kids narrative i could definitely see kids you know outside of web 3
playing this game and really becoming viral among their
friends, you know, during lunch at school or just whatever. Right.
I think, you know, there's,
there's definitely an opportunity here because it's a, it's a fairly safe game.
You know, there's nothing crazy here for kids to play. I mean,
it's none of those derogatory things that you would normally potentially see in
some things we build in web three or degenerate things,
but it is definitely degenerate, but I definitely could see kids,
you know, like you said, you tapped into this earlier,
like an Among Us game, right?
But with this, I can definitely see it in the hands of kids
playing this with their friends and really becoming something
of a culture for them, right, to play this type of game.
So, yeah, I'm really stoked on the future of what you're building,
obviously with not only Dengs, but Dem Witches.
I'm looking forward to, you know, obviously more things that you're building obviously with not only Dengs, but then which is I'm looking forward to,
obviously more things that you're building in this space.
you're one of the definitely top top 10 to 15 guys that,
really resonate with me in terms of like what you're building in,
in a chain and on,
on a chain.
you know what I mean?
I appreciate everything you've done and,
and done so far and I'm looking forward to continuing the relationship
with you. And, you know, maybe like I said, you know, we can so far, and I'm looking forward to continuing the relationship with you.
And maybe, like I said, we can definitely figure out something for our community
on one of these game nights and maybe use that as a way to continue the experience
as a perk to our community.
But I'm going to open up the floor.
So if anybody wants to come on up, definitely please feel free.
In the meantime, Sid said while you're here
why don't you um you know while we got a few minutes because you're you know i officially
announced last week i think actually yeah last week um you know my space is now now will be
powered by ui marketplace and some of you guys might be like what's ui marketplace because i'm
sure it's new to some of you guys um that have used other marketplaces like open c and magic
eden but i've known sit for a long time and he's he's developed out a marketplace that's new to some of you guys that have used other marketplaces like OpenSea and Magic Eden. But I've known Sid for a long time, and he's developed out a marketplace that's going to be beneficial to the ApeChain ecosystem as well as others.
But Sid, if you got it, maybe a couple of minutes while we see if anybody wants to come on up and ask King Pickle about Dengs or Dem Witches about Ui.
So we got an audience.
Or maybe he's not on his phone right now,
but either way,
either way,
we marketplace basically is a marketplace that's coming pretty soon here.
They're in beta.
And so with, with we marketplace,
they're basically going to be building something to,
I wouldn't say rival. Cause we all know OpenSea and Magic Kingdom are fairly large. But I know Sid wants to build something a little different and really spend a lot of time focusing on ApeChain with what they're building.
They're going to have different asset classes, including obviously NFTs.
Some of the things I know of, but I would rather him speak to.
They're going to have things for RWAs
they're going to have a trading card component
for people that trade collectible cards
one of the coolest features that I know that he's building out
is this live feature
and so what that basically means is that if you're doing a mint
you can go on video live on his platform
and be able to actually be live while you're
minting with your community.
So I think that's really cool.
I know that they're working on instituting and adding identifiers.
So if you're part of Divi and your project's part of Divi, there'll be identifiers showing
that your project is a Divi qualified project.
And as well, I believe that he's included projects that I've shadowed over.
And again, it's not anything to say this is in conjunction with or collaborating with yuga but basically um
what it basically means is if you have a an ape for example that's shadowed it'll show an identifier
in there that's it's a shadowed project uh it's a shadowed nft so said i see you emoji. So you're back.
He's on silent mode.
But anyways, like I was saying before, you know, there's going to be a lot of things coming.
You can sign up with the Uwe Marketplace.
I think they're in the room for beta.
And definitely you guys are interested.
Take a look.
I'm sure we'll have Sid on in a space where he's going to be talking more about it.
He has a space today at four o'clock Pacific seven Eastern with NFA.
definitely check it out guys. Like I said,
he's definitely building something for this,
this community.
He wants to do something that's again,
different for,
for a chain and really support this,
this ape chain ecosystem and all the builders.
If you guys want as well,
tap into him.
He definitely wants to show you love
and feature you guys on the marketplace
when it launches live.
And so I know a few projects
that I'm handing him a list of,
but if you guys are interested,
definitely tap into Sid.
He's been around a long time building NFA.
As well, if you guys don't know,
they're building a physical location,
an IRL building in Vegas,
an immersive experience for this space for,
for NF NFTs and for digital assets.
So definitely tap into them.
So are you back?
I was listening.
I didn't know if you wanted me to chop in,
you're the guy.
So maybe just so quickly,
let these guys know exactly what I did not say.
Cause I want to make sure you're saying,
cause you're the guy.
So just let these guys know what we marketplace is. Cause again, you're saying it, because you're the guy, right? So just let these guys know what Uwe Marketplace is,
because, again, you're building it out with the guys and your team,
so people that are in the room understand exactly what it is
and how it differentiates from Magic Eden or OpenSea.
Yeah, for sure.
And I appreciate, King, good hearing your story
and hearing what you're up to.
That's very exciting and hype.
Thanks for putting together, you know, this space.
You know, I love hearing more one on one intimate information about what's going on.
So, yeah, you guys, if you don't know me, Nifty Vicious, I got a bunch of accounts in here.
Non-Fungible Art is my my main company that jumped into Web3.
I'm also the founder of the Crypto Homies.
I've been working with Dave Gonzalez for over 25 years on the Homies brand, making physical
toys and obviously ushering them into Web3.
I started to really get excited about what digital assets were about and kind of coined
the phrase digital collectible toy when I launched the Homies.
And one of the things that I felt that was missing from the space was an easy place to onboard, you know, Web2 people. So my mission has always been,
how do we get millions of people into Web3? And my vision really started in Las Vegas,
building out a venue. So about four years ago, started to work on this. Now it's really in
full motion. If you haven't been to the Nifty's World website, I have the Nifty's World account in the room here. Go check it out. This is a full-on condo hotel,
immersive experience, retail, private club, rooftop bar, restaurant, etc. Really heavily
based on NFT art, AI, and AR. Over the last four years, I built a full-on AI company.
Over the last four years, I built a full-on AI company.
We have an AR agency.
We just launched our AR app.
It's in Apple and Google Play.
I think Google Play just got released today, so you can go download it.
But the idea behind Ui was I wanted to build a marketplace that really catered to collectors
and catered to bringing in new people from Web2.
One of the things I think that's really a challenge for,
even for myself being savvy in crypto for a long time,
is maneuvering through OpenSea
and some of these other platforms that have come out.
I think that this latest rendition of OpenSea,
you have to be a brain scientist to be able to go in there
and even know what the hell is going on.
So we really believe in building something that's simplistic, easy to navigate, easy
to use, a great onboarding tool for Web2 universe.
So in our marketplace, we have about six chains.
Obviously, we're going to be giving a lot of extra love to the Ape Chain.
This hasn't been a formal announcement, but we are moving the homies over to the Ape Chain.
And within the marketplace, we're going to be giving love back to the projects that are giving us love.
So if you have a project, you're on Ape.
We'd love to connect with you, get you some love on our homepage.
Make sure you're getting some marketing through what we're building.
The functionality is insane.
We've added things that no one has had before.
You can DM wallet to wallet.
You can actually send a request to purchase something.
You can send a, you know, if you want to get back to say, yo, I got your offer, but I want
a counter offer.
So we wanted to make something that was a little bit more social, something that allowed people to kind of have a nicer, easier experience. We have, like Hype
mentioned, we have our own live streaming that's in there. So you can be launching a project
on the marketplace. You can live stream to your community and live stream to everybody on that
chain. We built in a major social component
into the marketplace. We also aren't just focused on digital assets. So we have about 18 different
asset classes, including real world assets. We're kind of breaking up the NFTs in a different
category. So we have a full on music platform. We actually have our own music player on there.
You can go in, pick music that you like
from different Web3 artists,
play music while you're on there,
create your own playlist.
We are going to be heavily involved in gaming.
So you'll have gaming assets on there.
We're also doing digital wearables
for avatars and for metaverse.
We're going to be selling digital property,
digital cars. We're going to be selling digital property, digital cars.
We have a platform called Raise that we're going to be launching.
Our Raise platform is like a crowdfunding GoFundMe Kickstarter all on the blockchain.
You'll be able to go in there, launch your own campaign and raise funds.
We have a, I'm heavily into IP and trademarking patents and copyrights. So we built out a platform called Lockbox Z, where you can go in there and get your own provenance on your idea,
have it locked into the blockchain, and also go out there and market and sell it on the secondary
market as well. So there's a lot of features and functionality we're adding there.
SaveNow Shop is our version of eBay.
We have a full-on platform where you'll be able to purchase, buy and sell products, physical goods,
again, connected to provenance on the blockchain.
So I think we built something unique and different.
Hype mentioned that, obviously, OpenSea and Magic Eating are massive.
But we believe that, you know, coming at it from a little different angle, that with our relationships not only in Vegas, but with the NBA, with the NCAA, and with some other big venues that we're dealing with right now, that we're going to become the go-to platform
for digital collectibles. My plan is that by year two, we'll have 10 million digital
collectibles that have been given away to people going to different venues around the
world. That's going to bring a lot of heat to what we're doing and open up the secondary
market and most importantly, bring in a gazillion eyeballs from Web2, which is what we need.
We need people in here.
We need to make it easy and that's what we're doing at Who We.
I hope that did it justice.
I have one foot in, one foot out going into the doctor, so I apologize.
I was hoping that one of my devs and my partner, Justin, was going to be able to come up.
But he's tied up working on something right now in the back channels.
But definitely, if you're a founder in here, connect with me.
Send a message to the OOE account. Send a message to my personal account.
We'd love to connect with you. I'd love to get you on our NFA space. We're going to be doing a weekly,
I don't want to call it a mega space, but we're going to be doing a kind of going back to my
two-minute elevator pitch space where we're going to have projects come in, talk about their projects,
get them integrated with our community, and then get them onboarded onto the marketplace.
Because if you're a founder out there, you already know walking into OpenSea or
Magic Eating and trying to get any love from them, even if you have huge brands, you know, I have
horror stories of dealing with some of these companies, you know, coming to them with Ralph
Sampson, Puma, coming to them with a hundred million dollar physical art collection, and they
don't really want to play ball, right?
So at OOE, we're going to give love back to the founders that give us love and support what we're
building. And we really want to become the go-to marketplace for 8-Chain. We feel that's the future.
This is where the collectors are at. This is where the people are at that really understand
the future of Web3. So I appreciate the time hype.
Yeah, it's all good.
Like I said, you definitely should link up with King Pickle.
I mean, obviously, again, he's got some great things building.
There's a lot of good founders in this room.
One other person I see down there because, you know,
I don't know why I'm getting all the orange backgrounds interviewed.
What the heck's going on?
What's wrong with me?
I mean, I see Apewell down there.
You know, Apewell's got his own stuff too going on, Sid, with board merch. there. Um, you know, April's got his own stuff too, going on with a board merch.
so I think,
even implementing some of the MBAs and some of the stuff that,
some of the apes are doing into the platform would be great.
Cause I mean,
created a physical product line,
with his MBA.
So doing stuff with him.
and if you guys don't know,
King Piggle,
do you remember the,
the Dr. Bombay
vinyl toy that came out?
Did you ever see that?
Oh, yeah, definitely.
Do you know who actually made that toy?
That's mine as well.
No way. For real?
Yeah, so I've been partners with Snoop for 25 years.
My background is in apparel, toys, and technology
and electronics. And so, yeah,
I still have my toy company, Vital Toys. I actually brought it back specifically to launch
with Snoop. But we have our own toy platform that's launching. And thanks for reminding
me, Hype. We have our own toy platform, plushie platform, print-on-demand platform that we're
launching also through the Uwe Marketplace.
But we've made a lot of products for people in West Korea.
So definitely a lot of opportunities.
And also, if you are a Basie or Macy holder, definitely reach out also.
We've licensed over 150 Bored Apes and Mutant Apes for an immersive experience that we're building at our venue in Vegas.
So there's still opportunities to get involved in that and allow your characters to be, you know, use your IP to make money.
I'm all about how do you take your IP that's sitting in your wallet for all these years and actually make money with it.
And that's really where our Gearnami print-on-demand platform comes into place.
But we have a full print-on-demand platform.
I have 15 of our own factories around the U.S.
We have factories opening up in about eight different countries right now
with our own machinery, our own inks, and our own supplies.
And so we have a pretty massive, my ecosystem is pretty big.
I touch almost everything in the supply chain that we're building inside of the UI platform.
Yeah, so definitely King Pickle, Tapinwood, Sid.
I mean, if you want to get your IP as part of that immersive experience they're building out, I think I'm definitely going to do it.
you know, immersive experience they're building out.
I think, you know, I'm definitely going to do it.
I think it's good for not only, you know, you individually,
but also to represent your brand and ties, you know,
potentially dang back to what the experience may be looking like in Vegas.
I know Sid's going to be creating a retail environment there as well for,
for people that want to create physical toys.
I know he's very much geared towards Web3 products.
So if you, you know,
for anybody in the room that's coming out with Web3 based physical products,
when they launch his venue, I know that Sid's said's you know going to show love and an opportunity to
support where he can um so i'm definitely looking at even our project being a part of that ecosystem
in vegas as well when the time comes um but yeah definitely tap in with him it will as well man
you should tap in anybody else in the room that has has ideas or products they want to build out
whether it's you know physical or uh you know whether it's toys or whatnot, he's,
he's definitely a guy to tap in.
Yeah. I, I already, I've sent that. Well, I didn't send a message,
but I did, uh, follow ape, uh, ape whale. Um, but yeah, anybody,
like I said, we're, we're,
we're looking to build this thing pretty big right now with, with the, uh,
with our ape experience, but I'm down for chopping it up.
I'm down for helping out.
We're all about founders, supporting founders.
That's really the foundation of what I'm building at Uwe.
And if you're in the room and you haven't been to the Nifty's World website yet,
go over there.
We're launching our own Visa credit card reward program.
There's a form in there.
You don't put any of your personal, any information.
I don't need your social security, none of that.
Just put in your name and email and all that and put in your ETH wallet
and you'll be eligible for our first free Nifty's World digital collectible
that will be airdropping everybody once we open up the Uwe platform.
And so I would definitely get in there because that's going to be a super unique,
limited edition digital asset that will come directly from us once we launch the platform.
Yeah, the other thing too, Sid, is I know that recently there's, you know,
Blevver just launched, which is obviously a launchpad.
They launched the Glyph, which is by UGA.
So I know Barron's in the room, part of the UGA team.
I definitely will look into that too as well, Sid.
I think we talked about it, look at the Glyph wallet.
That's something that's really important.
It's a really good way to onboard people into Web3.
So it's something I would say, talk to Dustin about maybe looking at integrating Glyph.
I would love for Barron, I can't see baron in the room
i would love to chop it up with baron and yeah we've already talked about adding glyph and we
were already in talks with blever as well uh you know we have our own launch pad that uh inside of
the ui platform as well which is super like anybody could do it it's it's it's plug and play
it'll be really easy for new people coming in who want to be able to launch a project which is super, like anybody could do it. It's plug and play.
It'll be really easy for new people coming in who want to be able to launch a project.
We have it all built in already into the Uwe marketplace.
I don't even think you've seen that yet, Hype.
But I would love to talk to Baron.
I'd love to talk to, you know,
actually I do see Baron in there.
There's Baron.
I'm going to send him a message. But yeah, we should, you know, actually I do see Baron in there. Hold on. There's Baron. I'm going to send him a message.
But yeah, we should, we should, you know,
I'd love to have you guys come to,
I'd love to have you guys come to some of our spaces
and kind of get integrated in what we're doing.
We'll be doing an OOE space at least once a week to start out,
but it'll start to grow little by little.
So there you go, King Pickle.
You know what I mean? Like, just definitely tap
in. I think it's a good opportunity.
Sid, also, Hype says that you would get
me a free Bombay toy, so
I'll let you know where to send that.
No problem. Just, if he
told you that, that means he wants me to
Not a problem. Actually,
I don't want to give out any alpha on the
space, but, you know, the collection sold out.
I bought a bunch of the pieces myself.
I bought a nice little stack of them because I wanted to sell them in Vegas when we opened up Nifty's World.
