Let's get started.
What's going on?
Happy to be here obviously.
It's been a crazy day for us.
We had a big old merge of the collection,
if you're not familiar with that.
Be familiar with it.
G-R-A-P-E-S, Grapes.
Go search it.
The merge went really smooth.
Gas was high all day, which sucked.
But, we got through it,
and the community's pumped up, so that's always good.
Happy to be back.
It's been a while since I've hosted an Ape Space.
I'm hosting on my Brando account,
just because we're trying to set Ape Spaces away from ATS.
We want ATS as a page to come out with project updates,
not spaces all the time.
Everyone just thought it was funny,
because there were so many people that were like,
oh, you guys have an NFT?
I thought you just host spaces.
I'm like, bruh, what do you mean?
We're trying to shake it up a little bit, obviously.
Moonpie's co-hosting with me today.
Moonpie, what's going on?
How are you?
What's cracking?
I'm good.
I'm good.
I'm glad to hear.
I saw a lot of people staying up last night,
waiting for midnight for the merge to happen,
but it happened later today, or this afternoon.
Not last night.
Yeah, it was crazy.
It's a very complex contract.
We had a team of devs that helped us,
and then we ended up hiring another team of devs
to help us further, to complex it even more.
I think we've been in the industry long enough
that we want to make sure we're doing holders right.
We didn't want to just airdrop a bunch of monkey tokens,
because effectively, people could just go wheat their old ones
to people that just didn't know about the merge.
We had to take ownership of their old tokens,
issue new ones,
but all is really well and very excited
about what's coming in the next couple months
for the ATS squad.
If you don't know, maybe you didn't get caught up fully.
You can view the merge on the grapes.
You can also go on my timeline, view the merge.
It's merge.atsnft.io.
You can also go to the ATS website as well.
We got a stacked lineup.
It's the first time in Apespace's history
that I think I did the whole schedule,
so it's pretty funny.
Oh my gosh, that's amazing.
I did the whole schedule.
We got Tommy up here.
We're going to get to him first,
but he literally found out he was the first on the agenda
about five minutes ago,
so that's pretty dope.
That's the old Brando schedule for you.
Before we get to that,
I do want to remind everybody of a few things.
First and foremost, we made some shift to Apespaces.
We gave out over a million dollars in the last year
or the last 18 months or whatever it was
since we started Apespaces,
and we've done that to anybody.
Literally, if you came and enjoyed yourself in our space,
you got entered in to win.
Sometimes it was $500, sometimes it was $1,000,
sometimes even much more.
We gave away $25,000 paintings at one point on this platform.
We've given away tons of NFTs of our own, of our partners.
We've given away USDT, Ethereum.
We've given away food.
We did pizza, literally everything.
We've made some shifts.
You can still enter to win prizes on this platform.
The way the $1,000 is going to work tonight
is if you win that $1,000
and you are a holder in our ecosystem,
you will win the full $1,000.
If you win that $1,000 tonight
and you are not a holder of our ecosystem,
you will win $500.
I am going to extend this though
to anybody that owns any of the platform NFTs
that are coming tonight as well.
If you own a win goods,
if you own a shrapnel NFT,
if you own a toast NFT,
you will be eligible to win the full amount.
It's not just us, I'm not gating it,
but I do want to make sure that
we're giving money to the right people.
I want to support Web3,
not a giveaway hunter that's going to sit in our room
and win $1,000 every time.
That's how it's going to work tonight.
We're giving away a lot more though.
I know we got some pretty sexy stuff
from some of our partners
that we're giving away later on tonight as well,
so that'll be fun.
I want to open up the room,
maybe with just a brief segment
before we get to Thile and talk win goods.
I want to say a quick what up to Hados.
I see you.
Big ATS holder, legend in our ecosystem,
has actually communicated.
Here's what I like about Hados actually.
Hados has connected me with a lot of groups.
I'm busy all the time.
I'm working.
I was up until 5 a.m. doing the merge last night.
In Web3, if you want to run a project
and run it well, you have to work around the clock.
It's just how it works.
It's not a nine-to-five job.
You don't get to shut it down.
I get texts from holders
because a lot of holders are my friends.
I want to answer them.
My wife gets pissed off.
I'll be in bed at 2 in the morning
and she'll be like, put your phone away.
You have to be that way.
If you want to work in Web3,
people are all over the planet.
You have to do that.
But I will say,
Hados is one of those holders
that we have in our ecosystem
that has continually connected us with great groups.
He's actually the reason
why Shrapnel is on our platform tonight.
He has no company ownership.
He just likes ATS.
He's been a holder since day one.
He wants his ATS crew to learn more about Shrapnel
and what they're building
because we're setting our feet in
or dipping our toes into water a little bit
when it comes to Web3 gaming, obviously,
later in our ecosystem.
Shrapnel has been doing that big time.
Same with Racer Club.
We have Racer Club, which is owned by Toastpunk.
We're dipping our toes into Racer Club as well.
We'll talk about that in a little bit.
They're powering our space tonight, by the way.
So make sure to win that $1,000,
go up to the top, you got to enter.
It's really simple.
You got to be in their Discord,
follow them on Twitter.
It's very, very simple to enter.
You don't need to buy anything tonight.
And then we also have people like Isaac,
who's constantly repping PFPs out there,
shows up to spaces all the time,
comes up as a speaker just to support.
Love that, appreciate that.
I want to shout you out as well.
If we get some more time,
I want to say what up to you guys further,
but we're pretty strapped for tonight.
So I just want to get right into it.
Before I do that, though,
I do want to just,
and this will be an open conversation,
anybody that's on the stage right now,
feel free to chime in.
Did you guys see the JP Morgan CEO
talk about Bitcoin?
Did you see that video?
How fucking funny was that?
Yo, dude was basking it like what?
Like no less than two years ago,
and now he like completely 180.
It's definitely some, it's a sight.
No, no, no, no, no.
He made fun of it.
He went on.
Yeah, he went on and made fun of it again.
And he's talking about how like,
he's like, you know what Bitcoin use case is?
He's like, money laundering, sex trafficking, drug use.
He's like talking about,
I'm like, motherfucker, at least it's traceable.
You know what I mean?
You could trace it to some extent.
Go do that with cash, you know?
Cash is really harder to trace.
That shit's been in his banking system for,
you know, God knows how long, right?
And then he called Satoshi Satoshi.
That was pretty funny.
And he's convinced that Satoshi is going to wake up one day
and just print more or delete all of Bitcoin.
Kind of embarrassing, honestly.
And the other hosts,
I don't think the other hosts were crypto heads, honestly,
but I think they had enough knowledge to be like, bro.
Because they're like, what about gold?
You bullish on gold?
They're like, yeah, he's like,
but gold has a finite supply.
They're like, well, Bitcoin has a finite supply.
He's like, oh, well, Satoshi could wake up one day.
All right.
And he could just shut it down.
Like, okay.
Randall, Randall, Matty, how's it going, mate?
Actually, one of the commentators
or one of the interviewers,
he was on the far left, okay?
He was actually ready to challenge the CEO.
He was saying, nah, nah, nah, man.
So are you saying, you know, gold is better?
You know, he was doing all of that kind of stuff.
But yeah, man, the remarks that this J.P. Morgan CEO mentioned,
man, it's so silly in the way that he...
Exactly that, you know?
Satoshi is going to go out and print more Bitcoin, you know?
Like, the guy is like, no, you can't do that.
You literally cannot do that.
You never understand.
The contract is the contract.
The contract is the contract.
It's done, right?
But yeah, man, it was such a stupid interview.
It just goes to show, you know, what regular, I guess, you know,
what we call normies think in this world versus crypto bros.
When he said Satoshi, I couldn't stop thinking about,
what's his name?
That 6ix9ine rapper.
What's his actual name?
Oh, Takashi.
Yo, I was like, bro,
this guy is like thinking about that dude, you know?
And I just kept imagining him buying Bitcoin and like flexing Bitcoin.
I'm just like, oh, my God.
This guy is like so drawn away from the reality of the crypto space.
It's crazy.
But, you know, here's the thing, right?
I have an uncle that banked for 40 years, right?
He has the same mentality.
We have sat...
And he's a smart motherfucker, man.
I'm telling you, this guy is smart, right?
We have sat down and we have talked about Bitcoin.
We've talked about Ethereum.
We've talked about cryptocurrency and the way that like people like
being decentralized, the way that people like being anonymous,
like some people do, to some nature.
And we also talked about like the use case and the benefit away
from the conventional banking system, right?
We've had these discussions.
He knows it.
And I know he knows it.
But he is ignorant to the fact that he has worked in the banking
industry so long conventionally.
He's retired.
He doesn't care about Bitcoin.
He will stand.
He'll die on that hill, right?
And that's just how it works.
So I feel like some of these old heads are the same way.
But guess what?
They're getting old, you know?
No, I'm just kidding.
All right.
We got T. Lee up here, a friend of mine, Tommy.
Everybody has been seeing Wengoods all over the platform
lately, all over X.
And I wanted to take an opportunity to highlight what
he's doing.
We've had some good conversations.
And I think they're doing something really cool, actually.
And it's one thing to just mint another project.
And it's another thing to like do something with substance
in the space that's actually going to onboard Web2, right?
Because we've seen a lot of just mint, mint, mint, mint,
mint, but no, they don't do anything.
They're just literally selling more shit to Web3.
And we want products, right?
We want things that actually go to Web2
and allow people to come to the space from Web2.
So tell us about that.
Tommy, I want to learn maybe about yourself.
If you could tell our audience who you are
and what you're all about.
And then we'll get into Wengoods as well
and what that's all about.
Yeah, no, I appreciate it, Brando.
It's been a little while.
And I haven't been on a namespace in quite a while now.
But I always appreciate you guys having people up
and myself included.
So spaces like this that are very collaborative,
it's what Web3 is about.
It's not about just having one project, like you said,
but bringing everybody together at this point,
we've all been in this space long enough that, you know,
this isn't a mutually exclusively beneficial kind of space, right?
Everybody's got to pull each other up.
And that's what we're kind of aiming to do.
So in regards to myself, my name is Tommy, like Brando said.
I'm a Canadian as well.
So a little bit of a connection there.
And like Brando said, we've been chatting over the last little while.
I guess just briefly, I got my start in Web3 probably around 2013-ish.
I was a trader just trading traditional markets
and then kind of went into Web3 that way.
Finished up school, got into mining,
tried a whole bunch of stuff like I think a lot of us have.
And then during that last NFT craze kind of got involved here
and found a lot of communities that I really kind of resonated with, right?
You meet a lot of people and you see a lot of the cool stuff
that people are building like ATS, like OneGood.
Like, you know, I can insert a bunch of different projects for there,
but, you know, and you just kind of fall in love with the space.
And I think that's kind of what it comes down to, right?
You know, Brando, you said earlier that, you know,
if you're a founder, you're a project lead, whatever it is,
you know, it's not a nine to five kind of job.
And that you, you know, you spend 24 hours a day working on thinking about,
you know, my other half was actually on this space not too long ago.
She's down in the crowd right now.
But like you said, the other half can kind of get annoyed sometimes
because, you know, your answering phone calls at midnight
or two o'clock in the morning.
But that's the reality of it, right?
As long as you're passionate about it,
and that's, you know, you want to see through, right?
So yeah, that's pretty much who I am.
Yeah, you know, like I said, a lot of my connections in terms of people
that I've met here and how I kind of got my start with OneGoods
came just from being around, right?
Just kind of making a name for yourself
and developing those relationships over time.
And, you know, I was fortunate enough to get brought on to the team
at OneGoods by Duckmaster,
who I'm sure a lot of people are familiar with.
He's a great founder here in Web3.
And yeah, so we've been doing that for the last year or so.
He's been doing it for the last year,
so I've been about six months or so.
But yeah, so as far as OneGoods goes,
at its core, it's a consumer package goods company.
And I think that substantially differs
from, you know, your traditional Web3 kind of NFT project
because what we're trying to do is provide value to existing communities
instead of trying to create just another NFT project,
kind of like Brando said earlier.
Initially, we weren't even actually going to have PFPs.
We were just going to have like a card kind of style thing.
But decided to go for a PFP
because we did want to have a little bit of the, you know,
the cultural norms in terms of Web3 and draw people in that way.
I think, you know, I think the PFPs are hilarious.
I think they're awesome.
But, you know, here we are.
So what we've been doing lately is we've been partnering with different communities,
some of the strongest communities that we've been a part of over the last,
you know, two years to provide both a reward system
and just an overall value system for the project and their holders
through consumer package goods.
We do that in a number of different ways.
But two, I'd say, key factors in this are our CEO and our distribution managers.
Our CEO worked at Unilever for 15 years,
and he's now a director at McKinsey.
And Dowds, who is our products guy,
he works at one of the largest consumer package goods companies in the United States.
So he has a lot of access to distributions
and production and those types of things,
which makes things a lot more scalable for us.
So the partners that we've, the people that we partnered with
are thus far, Mutant Ape Yacht Club,
Lazy Lions, Non-Co-Ducks, and Digentunes.
Those will be the products in the first box,
each company or each project.
If you want to look at it that way, we'll have their own line of products.
So, for example, in this situation,
we've got energy drinks, jerky, gummies, and chocolate bars.
And then I do also see JPEG Poppy down there
because they will be in the second box, the Quirkies,
along with the Plague and the Space Riders
and one more project yet to be announced.
All of these products will have a portion going back
to both the projects and the communities,
as well as the people that purchased them.
So we're offering a couple different ways to kind of be rewarded
through what we're calling goods tokens.
And what those goods tokens will be used for is basically our marketplace.
We've already bought a whole bunch of different NFTs
and we're in the process of buying different products, services,
experiences, things like that.
And you'll be able to use those goods in our marketplace
to purchase whatever's in there.
A lot of those will end up being partner NFTs.
So, you know, just another way to kind of benefit the projects
that we're partnering with by, you know,
helping to raise the floor price as much as, you know,
I want to sit here and say, you know,
we want to provide enough value that you don't have to look at the floor.
At the end of the day, the floor price is something that's relevant
to communities and to different projects.
So we definitely want to help there where we can.
On top of that, you know, there's...
Yeah, yeah.
Let's talk about...
Let's just quickly spin this in a way.
Let's talk about the products.
I know, like, I'm on the website right now.
I'm looking...
So you guys got Roar Jerky, which is the Lazy Lions Jerky.
You have the Nonco Gummies, TNT Tunes, like...
Talk about the products a little bit.
Are they out yet?
If not, when's the expectation?
What went into, like, making them?
Let's just go over the products.
Yeah, absolutely.
So, like I said, Dowds is...
He's one of the directors at one of the largest
consumer packages companies in the world.
We had a lot of access to the backend strategies
and processes for developing these.
They obviously start as a basic product,
and then we were able to kind of tweak them
to our different flavors, our different, you know,
specifications in terms of, you know, insert,
non-GMO, high protein, those kinds of things.
So far, we've had the samples.
We've tested them all.
We've gone through the taste testing
and all that kind of stuff,
and we're just basically waiting for us to achieve
a certain level of our mint in order to meet
our minimum order requirement, at which point our mint
will also supply both the Gorg and the box of goods
to those who did what we called a pre-sale at the time.
But again, that was something for, you know,
trying to entice people who aren't too familiar
with Web3 to purchase a box of products
that'll support communities.
So if they hold one of your NFTs,
they get, let's just go over that really quickly, simple.
The whole one of the NFTs, they get, obviously, the art.
Then they get a box of all the goods
that you're manufacturing as well.
Exactly, yeah.
So we're offering the boxes as,
that was the primary reason we wanted people to get involved.
And then, like I said, we kind of decided
that we were going to include a more traditional
PFP-style NFT to, you know, like I said,
to bring people into the culture, right?
And so, once you guys have these products
that are going into retail of some sort,
there obviously is going to be some profit that's generated.
So is a portion of those profits,
what is stimulating fulfilling that marketplace frequently?
Exactly, exactly.
Yeah, which is smart, honestly.
And I think it's what a lot of projects forget about.
You know, we saw it a lot in the 2021 bull run.
You know, it's, let's launch a marketplace with mint money
and, you know, we'll give you guys prizes,
all you got to do is stake.
And all of a sudden, they forget that, like,
mint money runs out, you know?
And, you know, the company ends up going belly up,
and it just doesn't become a sustainable environment.
And so that's really cool.
And so what portion of profits,
in their share of the pie for a lot of projects anyway?
So what does that look like from a holder's perspective?
You guys are generating some cashflow through products,
through IP, they're holding, they invested,
they funded some of the initial purchase orders.
So what does that look like after the fact?
So it depends on which projects we're talking about.
So obviously, for the projects that are involved in the box right now,
that number is going to be a little bit lower
because they didn't have to pay to be in that box.
But every project moving forward,
since they're not included in the project partners box,
we'll have, and we can kind of go through this
with the individual partners.
It depends on the product that's being produced.
And we can be transparent with exactly what those products are going to cost.
But the idea is, as each project comes in,
it'll be an 80-20 preferential split
on the revenue that's generated from the product sold
until the project gets their money back.
And then it's a 50-50 split with the project and the company
after that on revenue generated from the product sold.
As far as what goes right back in the marketplace,
I'm going to have to check my numbers
and I'll actually send a message right now
so I can give you that answer on the space
because I don't actually have it off the top of my head.
But it's a good chunk of what we're bringing in
is going right back into the marketplace
because the whole idea for us, like I said,
was to reward just the partner communities
and the people that are involved in buying these products.
So a lot of it's going to go into both the marketplace
but also into basically what that essentially entails
is the backing of our goods token.
We want to back that token with those products,
if that makes sense.
Because obviously, in terms of offering
what would be deemed a security,
we can't offer a particular value for that token.
So the way that we're working it is that we're just going to
basically price the products in the marketplace
in line with how well the company is doing.
Very interesting.
Okay, that's really cool.
And so the rollout of some of these things
for people that are just tuning in,
there's four products.
There is an energy drink.
I believe, yeah, a chocolate bar, some jerky,
and then also gummies.
Those are the four initial products.
I'm assuming afterwards everything goes well.
You'd start to look at some sort of expansion plan.
Any thoughts about that?
Yeah, absolutely.
We've thought about different kinds of products
under those different banners.
So, for example,
Lion's may have multiple products
under that Roar line of products.
But immediately, we have, for the Plag and Box 2,
we've announced that they will have a type of chips.
They're called Crunchy Pond chips.
And for Space Riders, we have a cold brew coffee.
That's, again, we tested them all out.
We've got all the labeling done,
and they're ready to be mass produced.
It's just a matter of making sure we get to that MOQ
before we can start pumping them into the boxes
and get them into people's hands.
We also do have the Quirky product,
but, again, I'm going to show a JPEG copy down there.
I'm waiting for him to make that announcement
because I don't want to ruin the surprise.
Well, he's coming up later on, actually.
We have them on the platform.
I believe at 8.30 p.m. Eastern
for any of the Quirkies that are in the crowd.
So, maybe he'll share some Alpha later on.
That'd be fun.
Okay, that's really cool.
So, are you finding...
So, I guess my question is, like,
if I go into...
Well, let's talk about retailers first.
Is this a North American product?
Is this an overseas product?
Where's the target market
and what retailers are you looking to get these put into?
Yep, 100%.
So, for us, like I said,
Dow is mostly centered in the U.S.
So, in terms of the...
Starting to answer those messages.
So, we actually don't have that number offhand
that you're looking for.
I'll ask the CEO shortly after this
and try and get it for you
in terms of what's going back into the marketplace
as a percentage.
But, yeah, no.
So, once we sell out our boxes
and we're able to generate that MOQ,
our first goal is to get them into e-commerce,
which is obviously easy,
Amazon Marketplace, things like that.
And then the main retail
and wholesale targets for Dow's
will be Costco, Walmart, and Walgreens.
And then, as well as the vending machine
that a lot of is very close partnerships,
which I feel like isn't as sexy of a title
if you want to look at it that way
because you think vending machines,
you don't think it's going to bring in that much,
but he's actually very close with a lot of the universities
and different campuses for big tech firms.
So, he will have those all over places
like Apple and Google and places like that
that have, again, vending machines,
but in a classier sense, I guess I could say that way.
But those would be the main targets
right out of the gates.
Yeah, which is interesting.
I think, so, we have a partnership with a company
called Bugatti Group,
and I went out and chatted with their CEO
about a lot of this stuff.
And it's funny because they sell like,
they're partnered up with Adidas
and some of the bigger sporting brands,
and they sell luggage and different types of purses
and handbags and all this types of stuff, wallets.
And we were asking them,
they've really ventured into Web3,
they've made a lot of partnerships,
and we've kind of asked them,
somebody walks into a store,
they look at a black suitcase,
and they also look at a suitcase
with a bunch of monkeys on it.
Do they even know the IP?
Do they care about the IP?
Is that a distinguishing factor?
But the interesting thing is that,
and the response we got from their CEO was like,
somebody might not know the IP,
but that's the benefit is that the IP is spreading.
And the other thing is,
is if the IP is good enough and the art is good enough,
people will actually buy that product
because they just like the art.
And then so you're getting somebody
that's into the project potentially, right,
if there's some sort of onboarding element
that came in for the right reason.
They came in because of the art.
They liked the product at the store level,
they purchased it because of the art,
and now they might be coming into the project because of the art.
And that's, I think, why Web3L started in the first place,
which is interesting, or NFTs particularly.
What do you think about that?
Yeah, no, I completely agree.
And I've had this conversation a couple times in the past.
It's funny, one of the lesser talked about angles
is that visibility, right,
in terms of the products that we plan on getting on shelves
and in front of the eyes of people
in these products.
And I feel bad because sometimes I rag on Jack Lynx,
but it's the first one that comes to mind
in terms of a jerky brand.
But I know for me, or if you're like me
and you're just a child when making these decisions
at a gas station, for example,
I'm going to pick the one that looks the coolest, right?
So if you've got a lion or an ape
or some sort of other reason to just differentiate
between two different products,
that's a great way to get more people interested
and involved.
In addition to that, we also have an application
for people to claim rewards right from their phone.
So we wanted to make this project as seamless
and as integratable into Web2 as possible.
So being here in Canada,
we obviously have the Tim Hortons reward system.
I always forget to use it, but we have it.
And it's pretty easy to use, right?
You just take your phone, you scan the QR code,
and it's boom, it's there, right?
You claim the rewards.
We have a similar system where you'll be able to scan
the QR code of the products that you purchase in store
to immediately add rewards to a wallet
that you don't actually have to set up.
It's a one-tap, hey, set up the wallet.
You don't have to go to Metabask or anything like that.
And then you'll also be able to access the marketplace
in that app.
So people who aren't already interested in Web3
or don't really have that much experience
will be able to utilize these things just as easily as anybody else
just by using an app like they would in Web2.
Interesting.
What do you think, Mumbai?
Can you hear me?
Okay, sorry, I'm on my computer.
I was looking at the website, and I love it.
I mean, we talk about utilizing IP in this space so much,
and I think there's, and we've seen a lot of examples,
but it's hard to do, right?
So having like a project like yours
where you guys are able to help with the white labeling
and the merchandising and the packaging and all of that
for the NFT project themselves is huge
because, you know, it's an entirely other business.
Some people have no idea how to navigate, you know?
So I think it's awesome.
No, I appreciate that.
And, you know, I think one of the things that, you know,
we're most proud of and, you know,
kind of love to drive home the fact on is Dads.
Dads, he's one of the most invaluable people to this project
because, you know, I've tried to make products myself,
and one of the most difficult things, like you said,
is sourcing, procurement, those kinds of things,
in order to do it at scale and be able to offer these things
at a price that's competitive and that, you know,
it's one thing to make something,
but I've got to offer a bag of jerky at $100 a bag
because, you know, it costs me a ton of money to make it.
It's not really going to work, right?
So that's something that, you know, we're really proud of.
And just on the topic that I heard of, white label,
I want to make sure that we get it across
that we're not just white labeling products.
We are actually making sure that the products that we produce
are our own recipes, obviously with something like jerky.
You start with meat, you know what I mean?
But there's a lot of differentiators between the types
of meat that we get and, you know,
the ingredients that are going into it.
So we're not just taking like the no-name label kind of thing
and slapping our labels on it.
We are actually going through the process of producing them.
That makes it even more impressive.
Do you guys have like a,
where do you guys do all the manufacturing of this?
Yeah, so like I said, again, with Dowds,
because he works for a company called Canteen.
Again, it's a huge CPG company in the States.
They have access to all of these different types of areas
to, you know, warehouses and production facilities
to produce these things.
So he's given us access to that.
Wow, that's pretty incredible.
So, oh, we got a magical pop in the building.
What's going on?
Yeah, what's up, what's up?
I'm a little late to the show,
but I did catch the middle to the end, Tilly.
So I do have a pretty cool question if you don't mind.
I think it is, what steps do you take to source
new business or to expand or scale this product really?
So the products or in terms of like the communities that we select?
Yeah, exactly.
The community's clients.
I'm more like Web2 Conversation now, but yeah, for sure.
And Web3, definitely, how do you reach out?
So in general, like I said, we spoke,
I spoke with Brando, I don't know,
maybe a week or two ago, a little while ago,
because obviously with ATS or what is now Crepes,
it's an incredible community.
A lot of the projects that we selected are communities that have been here
for a long time with founders that we know and have had conversations with
that we feel like we can trust and will help to push the brand forward.
And also because we have these, you know,
we're all part of these communities, right?
There's an element of, you know,
you want to see your friends and family win,
and that's kind of where we've started.
And as we kind of expand further,
we'll look into, you know, making sure that the communities and the founders
in particular are reputable enough for us to put our name behind it, right?
Because the last thing you want to do is, you know,
get into bed with somebody and then all of a sudden,
they're not who you want, who you think they are.
And you don't really even do your due diligence.
So we definitely go through the process to make sure that the people
that we're partnering with are people that we want to be partnered with.
What does the partnership like look like at the beginning?
Because like something that comes to my mind is, you know,
last year we saw so many NFT projects and a lot of them, you know,
fizzled away.
So like what happens if you partner up with a project and you don't see
their product really moving and you don't see like, you know,
their project, you know, also moving and maybe like not being as,
as active as they once were, then what happens?
It's a very real fear and it's a very real reality
and a possibility for any project, right?
It's something like you said, we're still relatively new to this space
and there's a chance that a lot of projects go under.
Like you said, we've seen a lot of that happen.
But I guess like I said, when we look at the communities
that we've selected, we're confident that the people that are behind them
are going to continue to build things out.
So to speak for those projects so that they can continue to build on the things
that they want to build on while having a little bit of extra substance
behind the things that, you know, they wanted to build.
But I guess, I don't know if that really answered your question.
I'm just trying to think about it.
You know, it's something that we would have to deal with.
I realize that was just kind of like talking, but it's,
it's something that it could happen.
At some point, we would obviously have to reevaluate the product.
I mean, if the entire project went down and that
and actually company was completely gone, then obviously,
we'd have to switch gears or find another project
that would want to put their labels and their IP on that product
or just completely remove it and find another product.
That's, you know, just a way to pivot, I guess.
Is there anything else you wanted to, like, is there anything you missed, Tommy,
that you wanted to bring up regarding WhenGoods, you know,
what you guys are bringing to Web3?
I see there's a few things that are pinned up to the post
or pinned up to the nest there. What are those?
Yeah, just wanted to, I wanted to throw those up there.
I hope that's okay. Sorry, by all means.
If you're not okay with it, just, you know, let me know.
Sorry about that, but I just wanted to throw it up there.
I just want to make sure people know about it.
Yeah, for sure. So the second one over is Duckmasters.
He's the founder. He's one of the two founders that started the project,
but he's got 15 great reasons why you want to get involved with WhenGoods.
And then the other one is actually a promotion that I'm running right now
for, well, what is that, the next five hours?
A little less than five hours now.
If anybody mints three gorgs, which is the NFT boxes,
which means you also get three boxes of products,
I'll mint a fourth one for you and send it to you for free.
What that does for you is it gets you what we call a block,
which is any batch of four goods or four gorgs, sorry.
And if you have four gorgs under mint 2500,
you'll earn double goods for the rest of your life
for as long as you have them, which turns out to be quite a long good.
So if you're interested in getting double the rewards on a monthly basis,
then that's something that you could definitely take advantage of.
And I've been having a little bit of a competition with Duckmaster
just so you could get more people on board with three mints,
but we'll see how it goes.
Dope, I love it. I appreciate that.
Tommy, you've been a gentleman.
Thanks for coming up and sharing. I appreciate that tremendously.
If you guys want to learn more, obviously, wendgoods.com.
Website looks dope, by the way. Great job.
And excited to hear more.
No, I appreciate it. Thanks so much for having me up.
And, yeah, like you said, if anybody has any questions,
I'll stick around for a little while.
I do get a bounce around nine,
but I can't wait to hear from the other projects.
Appreciate you.
All right, a couple of things I want to get to really quick.
First and foremost, we've got $1,000 we're giving away.
OK, here's how it works.
If you hold anything in our ecosystem,
or any of the people that speak this evening in their ecosystems,
you'll win $1,000. If not, you win half, $500.
So even if you don't hold any NFTs, realistically,
you could win $500.
You can easily enter.
It's powered by Racer Club tonight, so if you want to enter,
all you've got to do is go up to the top.
There is a post up there. I will pin it up.
$1,000 USDC is on the line.
All you've got to do is make sure you're following Racer Club.
Follow me. Follow both of my co-hosts.
Like and retweet. You've got to tag a friend.
Make sure you're in the Racer Club Discord,
and you've got to be in the space to win. That's it.
$1,000 USDC. It's going to be a fun night.
We've got some more projects on the way, by the way, as well.
So make sure you don't leave.
There is, Toastpunk is going to talk about Racer Club.
He had to leave the space just for a few minutes.
So we'll probably move on to the next project,
and then we'll get to Racer Club in just a moment.
I'm excited because we've partnered up with Racer Club
for Grapes holders, which is going to be a lot of fun.
Because, again, gaming is something that's coming into Web 3
very, very fast.
I mean, we've talked about it on Ace Spaces for a year.
There was just really not a ton of games to play.
But now you're seeing, I think Nifty Island
had their beta yesterday, which I've seen a lot, obviously.
They announced Otherside in February, which is dope.
Good for Board API Club.
I honestly didn't think that was coming until next year.
I thought that was launching much later.
But it looks like they're doing some sort of,
I don't know if it's a beta or what it is,
but it's happening in February.
So I guess we'll learn more as it comes.
But there's been a lot of gaming projects
that have really invested in Web 3, which is exciting.
We have A-Paven from our side, right,
from the grape side coming in Q1.
At some point this year, probably start of March,
which is going to be really fun.
And so Racer Club is something that we wanted to bring to holders
to really excite our community
and get them more involved in the Web 3 gaming space,
more importantly.
But we've got Toast up here now, which is great.
So I'll let him introduce himself.
Toast has some pretty crazy credentials,
which is always good, from the founder side.
And he's also one person I've known in Web 3
for a very long time.
I thought he was up here.
Maybe not.
He's coming up now.
All right.
Toast, if you can hear me.
Yo, Toastpunk.
Finally, it works now.
I'm so sorry, guys.
I've got like three different phone calls going on.
My friend said that this is handling a few things.
It's hard to have two girlfriends, isn't it?
Anyway, I don't know.
It's hard to joke when serious shit is happening
on the other side.
But anyway, it doesn't matter.
So first and foremost, obviously, Brando,
just thank you again, Mike.
You've been an obviously a legendary space.
And thank you so much for having us here as well.
And I guess, you know, from a Racer Club perspective,
we are extremely, even though I don't sound it right now
because I'm dealing with stuff,
but I'm extremely excited, obviously,
of what we've been building in the last couple of years.
Now it's the exact same time frame.
So we started this in early 2022.
And I guess the trials and tribulations that we had
has taught us a lot about what the sentiment of people are,
especially the NFC peeps.
And ultimately, everyone wants the Holy Grail,
which is a utility that can be used for themselves
and for the community to help them grow
and also give value to the NFTs and other things as well.
So that's the core design of Racer Club, in essence.
We wanted to make sure that we offer communities out there
an instant plug and play.
I mean, we were there during the times of Sandbox,
the other side, NFT worlds, all these land projects
that were sounding fantastic and great for roadmaps.
But what do you actually do on them?
How do they actually benefit back the holders?
And how do you actually integrate your own tokens
and NFTs in the game itself?
So one of the big USPs, I would say,
which was reiterated by the immutable X people
that we spoke to just recently,
is that the cool thing is there's no NFTs in the game itself.
The whole game structure, the game dynamics, the gameplay
empowers the NFTs of communities that get plugged in.
And just a bit back on that there,
so as a summary, Racer Club is a racing game,
in the racing genre.
It is very sports, kind of more e-sports oriented.
It is also fun, obviously, but it doesn't have those gimmicky guns
and whatnot.
The vibes that we wanted to bring across
was the personalization of each community.
So it definitely feels like their own home in the surroundings,
in the characters used in each club.
But we also wanted to make it exclusive
and token gated to each community.
So they can represent themselves in their own clubs.
You eventually reach that point of finding really great players,
the people that are good managers of the clubs
and also the fans that support it all the way through.
So the idea and the goal is to encourage communities
to have their own economy,
because Earth is driven by the economy in each game.
There's a pack store in each game where you need energy
to race and boost the packs that you can buy.
But that would allow you to generate further treasury funds
or additional streams, I would say, for the project
in order for them to propel further.
So the goal is for us to start with...
Anyway, we already started with one club,
Toastpunk Genesis Racer Club,
which was launched in August last year
as the Early Access Racer Club.
And I must just, again, thank the Toastpunk community site.
All those with toast out there, you can see,
they've been going hard at the games,
trying to compete for best lap times,
trying to compete for the number one leaderboard sports, et cetera.
And they've really set the pace as far as what we expect
for other clubs out there when they get started.
We are talking here in each race,
eight to 12 players consistently,
and every single day,
they've been around 2,000 to 2,500 race sessions every day.
So just for one community,
it's amazing what these guys have done.
And although everything on the account...
So you can see the Racer Club account there.
And although everything on a social perspective
looks very, I would say, from a...
If you're talking about a big token project
or any gaming project,
it looks very not as engaged and not massive.
That's purely the design.
We're doing everything in stealth
until the point where we go,
okay, we are ready for the market,
and that was the purpose.
So the next stage for us right now,
once we've got the learnings from one club,
is to onboard these 50 clubs,
and we are ready to do that,
including obviously Apes Together Scrum,
or let's call it Grapes Racer Club,
the new merch.
I love that.
I love what you guys have done there.
So Grapes Racer Club,
and various others as well.
There's a kid called...
There's Lazy Lions.
There's even Moonbirds.
I'm texting Raspy right now.
Yeah, get Raspy India quickly.
But this is all...
The cool thing about every racer club
is that you can power it by the founders
or power it by the community.
The community that actually wants to see
the project have a club in there.
And it's a fair game for everyone.
It depends on how you bring your players in,
how you support your own ecosystem,
and you push accordingly, right?
So the idea for us is competition.
The idea is for esports,
and make things familiar for Web2 people.
I think the other day Vito is our head of partnerships,
and he was in...
Sorry, magical pop.
He was in one of our meetings with...
I think it was either Polygon Labs or Immutable X.
And one of the key things we...
The question was asked is,
how do we bring Web2 people into this space?
Because it's unfamiliar territory, Web3.
We've got a lot of weird eight pictures,
and everything else that they get to see,
and they're like, oh, what's going on here?
So I think one of the cool things we mentioned
was the NFT marketplace.
Sorry, the NFT rental marketplace, okay?
We realized that not everyone has the time to play games.
That's fair, okay?
But the ability to then be able to rent your NFT out,
whether it's for free or whether it's for paid,
to other eager players that will come in
and they will earn the race rewards,
but the NFT holder itself gets the XP rewards,
which is more important, I would say,
because you get the level-ups
and you get the R Club token claims and things like that.
I might have just jumped the gun a little bit.
I'm telling what the R Club is.
But another important thing on that is,
we are working on something as well,
which we're going to do.
Obviously, now everything is about a drop meta,
a drop meta.
I would say pretty big a drop plan
for the early adopters of the project to push in forward.
Again, just as a sum up on that there,
we've been stealth mode building all the way through.
We realize how hard it is to come out there.
Actually, it's easy to come out there
and get that massive engagement,
but it's extremely hard to back that up
with real solid foundational partnerships and work.
So I can even say,
the people that we've been working with,
Immutable X, Polygon Labs,
people like Co-intelligence Funds,
various other people at the back
that has this supporting framework
that will allow us to then push forward.
We've got GameFi, we've got CD5,
we've got Spores, Gamespad,
there's plenty of them out there,
which I know that once we go forward
out of the basically stealth into public,
it should be a big banger release.
And I'm actually looking forward to that there.
I think the timeline for that would be
probably February, March onwards,
before the halving, okay?
But yeah, happy to answer any questions.
So I want to just ask a quick question
because I know everybody's watching.
I'm just here specifically.
Could I just go right now and go play the game?
Like go download the game right now?
Yes, sir. Absolutely, you can.
That's what Toast One Guy's been doing the whole time.
Again, it's token gated to Toast One holders right now,
but you've just got to pick up some bread
or either just BME or whatever it is.
The bread is for everyone.
That's what I always say, you know?
Toast One's been about that,
but yeah, you need Toast One to play the game.
Very good.
Sorry, Vito, did you have a comment as well?
I'm going to tell you something that I've spent,
well, I've done a few of these things.
I've advised, I've done various jobs.
I've held many big, small titles.
I stick my nose everywhere.
I've seen this all the time.
Like a lot of organized projects,
they're building a game file.
They're building a product.
They have A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
They'll just go by steps.
And I've sat on so many of these calls.
Toast is just building a passion project.
The Alpha is just being spilled all over the place.
Left, right, center.
There's no structure to the Alpha.
It just comes all out.
I think he's spent a lot of...
And one of the things he said,
he's working as a stealth project.
It's not stealth anymore.
People know you're cooking, bro.
I've seen it.
I think a lot of amazing things are going to come out of this
because you've talked to absolutely everyone in this world.
I've held no dollar back.
No sweat and blends here to make this product
actually rock when it comes out, right?
So there's no hype to the build up.
There's no suspense.
He's given to you exactly how it is.
It's just going to be...
Once it's rolled out, guys,
you may not even need a Toastpunk.
But I'm just saying,
Toastpunk was...
You only need a Toastpunk right now
because there's only one club available.
Toastpunk Genesis Racing Club.
But the goal ultimately is to have
and host two and a half thousand racing clubs.
And how we'll get there is...
Actually, there's a very intricate roadmap
on how we're going to get there.
It might take us two, three, four, five years.
It doesn't matter.
But it's all based on really calculated metrics
of existing NFT collections,
legacy NFT collections,
the ones upcoming, the ones that are active,
the ones that are engaged.
And it also coincides with a licensed NFT,
which we will call the shards,
which we know that definitely that will be
extremely rare to find and extremely rare to get
once we build up all the way through.
But yeah, we pivot.
We as a business, we see things.
We look at the market.
We see what method is available,
what resources is available,
what partnerships you can get involved with.
The point I'm saying here is this.
There's a lot of big, big guys in the space
which have built the biggest of the biggest
gaming projects out there.
Some of them here as well in the space.
They're all in basically in saying
whatever you need, Matt,
whatever you need, the racing club team,
they're going to be there for you
to push it all the way.
That's really great and affirming to hear,
especially from these big players out there.
So yeah, I actually can't wait.
But again, step by step, we concentrate on things
to get things done one by one.
And yeah, the time will come.
Yo, I'm getting really excited because
Graves obviously is partnering up with Racer Club
just to see you guys know.
So holders are going to have the ability to partake
in almost like a Mario Kart style game,
which is going to be super fun.
I can't wait until we can load up and just play.
It'll be super fun because as holders,
we get together in certain circumstances,
spaces, voice chat.
We have these little mini games we play.
Obviously, it's one of the things we're launching.
A-Paven is the reason why is because I think
gaming is very collaborative and it's very social.
But the other thing that makes me bullish
is the Web 3 industry and the gaming industry.
They're two very, very supporting industries,
if you think about it.
Web 3 is very supportive, very collaborative.
And gaming is very much, in some respect, the same.
All the gamers I know, they all have the same mentality.
They just want to play fun games and they want to compete.
I think it's very similar with Web 3.
And with the fact that there's some sort of
player element in some of these games,
I think it ups the stakes as well, which is really fun.
So very, very excited.
Is there any alpha you can give us, Matt?
I know that you talked a little bit about the art club
and a few things in that respect.
What alpha can you drop on the space today?
I also want to just mention as well,
what ETA are people looking at in terms of getting into a club?
Okay, so to answer both your questions,
I'll answer the ETA first.
So our plan, we're very encompassed together
with a farming and an art club farming plan.
So February onwards, once we fully fix the foundation
and adjust the tokenomics accordingly,
there will be a mega art club farming.
So if you guys been to Portal and the other big ones,
you'll be similar to that,
where the number is, I think right now,
30 million art club, which is around 1.5 million USD value
in terms of the public sale token value.
So obviously, it goes higher than that.
But the farming exercise would include
the actual club creations,
the new club creations, the first 50 club creations,
and furthermore, I guess the priority wing list on that.
Also, it will include social engagements activities
and game activities as well.
So just that's on that part there.
Now, the timing-wise for the gameplay itself,
so we've already started the first 50 clubs environment builds.
You guys may have seen the treehouse styling for grapes.
Every single racing club is connected to an ERC721 contract.
And it's done that way because we empower the NFTs
that are existing in that collection.
And we use a lot of the metadata trades there as well.
For example, this is a simple example is
the rarity of that NFT means a lot in the game
because we then start the actual NFT
with a top speed acceleration, strength, and handling
based on the rarity group that it belongs to.
We divide each collection to 10 rarity groups,
and the higher you are as far as rarity is concerned,
the better your racer will start with.
So you've got to basically a little bit better,
like four out of five top speed,
four out of five acceleration, et cetera, et cetera.
It's all written in the white paper,
you're more than welcome to go and check that out
and evaluate based on the rarity group section,
but that means a lot.
So if you have a grapes,
and you're joining a grape racer club as a player,
that's your benefit that you have really good
high rarity grapes.
But yeah, as far as timing, we're looking at,
I would say in the next, in February onwards,
you'll see a few new tracks pop up,
which will include all the new clubs.
So the new tracks, each club has a track,
and it's all within the game.
So you can actually play, even though you're a grapes holder,
you can look at the Toa Spong Racer Club track,
and you can potentially go in there and play as well.
We haven't actually concluded that part yet,
but for sure, without a doubt,
you'll be able to play your own club, your own track,
you know, support your own economy up,
support your own engagement up,
and then push forward accordingly that way.
But ultimately, it's, you know,
all the clubs will be onboard one by one.
Very interesting.
Well, we're very much looking to be a big part of it.
And, you know, I'm pretty deadly out on the tracks.
I don't know.
I'm going to burn some toast, if that makes sense.
You know, Randall, did you know if you dominate
and rock and own their world,
you can actually level up your vehicle,
and your IP is going to level up with it,
and then that's also owned IP,
and you own those stats,
and you own that rank, essentially.
Your IP is always going to be your NFT.
If you rent it out, you can actually charge people
for the boosts.
Anyway, the game mechanics are the same.
Yeah, so one of the things he mentioned there,
magical, was in relation to what we were talking about,
immutable.
So immutable side, they wanted to,
so their goal with immutable is to encourage
trading activity with NFTs, okay?
And they've been always trying to find a solution for this.
And one of the cool things with Razor Club,
as what magical mentioned before,
is that you can, if you gain enough XP,
so if you burn enough toast out there
and you gain enough XP and you're able to level up,
like right now in Toastpunk Genesis,
I'll tell you something,
people have leveled up all the way to the highest level,
which is level six, it'll require like 50,000 Razor XP,
which is basically constantly playing your game.
But my point is, every time you level up,
you then can permanently upgrade your stats of your racer.
So I mentioned before, the rarity groups,
when you start off, you start off a bit lower.
You start off based on your rarity group level.
So save your low rarity grade,
and you start off low,
but you're able to play really, really well.
You're able to circumvent all the different NFT physics in the game,
and you can race well, and you win a lot,
and you get a lot of Razor XP.
When you reach your level one,
you then get a choice, any choice,
to add plus one attribute, plus one attribute
to any of your attributes, your four attributes, right?
Your top speed, acceleration, strength, and handling.
And that's permanent.
It's not a booster just temporary for that particular race.
It's permanent.
And every level you go up, you can add another couple more,
couple more, couple more, couple more, couple more.
So ultimately, what that becomes
is your actual NFT metadata itself,
in combination of the Racer Club ecosystem.
Anyway you play, you will have a better spec racer,
even though your rarity is low.
So it changes the whole,
it really challenges the dynamic of how a value of NFT is.
And that's what I think Mancico's mentioning about your IP.
Instead of it just being a flow NFT,
it's not a flow NFT anymore.
It could be something much more higher.
It could be higher than the higher rarity,
because when you take that into the Racer Club,
you're an OP racer.
So these are the things that we're trying to change
within the dynamics,
and when we presented this to Immutable,
they were absolutely amused,
in terms of what we were planning to do there.
So we wanted to illustrate it via a trading card format.
So if you think about it,
your NFT sits in the middle of the picture at the top.
It's directly connected to the chain.
And then down below the trading card,
you have your top speed, acceleration, strength and handling.
Top right, you have your level.
So whether you level one, level two, level three, level four.
So this presents a new format.
This is a better one, because it's a powered up card.
And once you've done it, you get it there.
And again, that's the part where the benefit of...
Some people go,
I just don't have the time to race every single day.
But trust me, there's so many people out there
that have time to race.
So all you do is you rent it out for free.
You get to keep all your metadata holdings,
and they get to keep the local race reports.
So yeah, there's a lot of in-game dynamics and flows
and all these things we've thought about
and features that we want to make sure
that gives a true utility to hold us all out.
All right, listen, enough of this modest stuff over here.
Let's do this.
Let's really give it to them exactly what...
Look, there's 331 listener in the crowd,
and you guys are absolutely not buts listening to this.
So what I'm going to tell you, this is this.
You survived the bear market.
You're going to start a pit.
Ten of you will be selected.
Every single NFT community that survived the bear market
is going to be in this goddamn game.
You're going to build your whips.
You're going to dominate.
You're going to kick ass, whip ass, earn while you do it.
We're going to ride the bull by all different parts of the body, bro.
Not just the horns.
You guys are going to hang out to the tails as well.
This game is going to blow the F up, start your crew, start your pit,
and just race, bro.
Enough of this.
We're building this.
We're building that.
This is going to rock the fucking world.
I love you, man.
That's why I think you're the king here.
And you will lead the frontier of the revolution we were trying to hit.
You're the king right now.
You're the king.
You know what?
I'm one of those.
I mean, Brando, all the people that have been talking to me,
they know my objective in this space.
My objective in this space is as simple as this.
I want to empower people.
I want to make sure that when I leave my legacy here,
it will be a legacy that is unforgotten.
In terms of what I've done,
the actual dent that I've placed in the space here is to do something real.
Not just fucking go out there and be fucking whatever.
To me, that's all whatever, right?
I want to make a dent.
I want to make sure that we make a movement on this here
and do it in a way where we can bring everyone together.
And to me, that's why games, I feel,
that focus solely just based on themselves,
they might have a hit and miss,
but games that really, really bring together communities
and empower all the communities together and the holders together
creates a really, really cool little economy and ecosystem
that I think can continue to thrive for years and years and years.
And that's the point I want to do.
Yo, that was amazing.
That was really well said, by the way, as well.
I really want to play now.
I'm excited.
I do have a tough one, Genesis, too.
So I'm going to go and download the game tonight.
I just bought a new Mac, too.
So I'm ready.
I'm ready, baby.
All right.
I want to just shift focus for a few minutes.
Matt, I know you're on a bunch of calls as well.
So what I'll do...
Yeah, I'm really sorry, Brando,
but I actually have to head off.
I got some emergency stuff that I need to handle elsewhere.
But, man, I really...
I just want to say I really appreciate you, Brando.
I really appreciate, Matt.
Everyone here, Papi, I love you guys.
Just please keep doing what you guys do,
because this is what the space needs.
And keep pushing, okay, guys?
I definitely will be looking forward to more of this.
Appreciate that.
And by the way, guys, you'll learn more about Race for Club as well.
We're going back next week and three weeks after that,
talking about Race for Club as well.
And we're getting our own club for grapes as well,
so it's going to be a good time.
I do want to reset the room quickly.
A couple things, just to remind you guys,
every time you see an Ape Space, we're giving out cash.
Not a liquid NFTs.
Cash, baby.
$1,000 USDC.
Here's how you win.
Go up to the top right now, enter.
That's it.
Follow me, follow all the hosts, including speakers.
If somebody's up here and they've shared wealth and knowledge,
make sure you throw them a follow.
We got a bunch of them right now, so.
Including, I want to remind you, let's see, let's see, let's see.
In the $1,000 prize tonight, if you're holding any toast-punk NFTs,
grapes NFTs, shrapnel, gorgs, quirkies,
you're going to be entered in for the whole thousand bucks, okay?
Not $500, right?
If you don't hold any, it's $500.
If you hold one of our partner NFTs that are coming up here,
or somebody that's come and shared that has been invited on her stage,
you're going to win the full thousand bucks.
So, just a heads up.
So, go enter, if you haven't already.
It's very simple.
Also, just a quick reminder, you can retweet the room
if you've enjoyed tonight.
Bottom right, little purple thing.
Click that, retweet.
It's very simple.
All right, we're going to switch gears.
We actually have another massive gaming project that's on stage right now
that I've wanted to get on Ape Spaces for a while
and shout out to Heydos for bridging the gap.
They are a module, sorry, a modable extraction shooter game.
And they've been all over my timeline lately as well.
We've got Shrapnel up here on stage.
I want to say what up to them.
I think it's Alex behind the Shrapnel account,
but what's going on, guys?
Happy to have you.
Happy to be here, Brando.
Thank you so much for the invite.
It is Alex, aka Sneaky Che, behind the Shrapnel account.
Shout out to Heydos for connecting us up.
I can't believe we have not been on an Ape Spaces sooner
because, honestly, this has been a banger.
WinGoods Racer Club, like, shoot,
I might have to send out some DMs after this,
but it's been phenomenal so far.
Hopefully I can follow them up and share, you know,
some exciting stuff that we have going on over here at Shrapnel.
Yeah, I really appreciate it.
I think the first thing that really caught me with Shrapnel
was the lore, actually.
You know, I went on the website
and I was just taking a peek at some of the stuff
and it talks about the Earthfall.
And so that's kind of the first thing I want to lead this segment with,
is, like, how does the lore play into the game
and explain, like, maybe the lore for people that haven't read it
just in more of a simplified version?
Yeah, a simplified version is, in the future,
there's a catastrophic accident
where an asteroid veers off course, essentially.
And maybe it's because, like, we're commercially mining space goods
and things and there's, you know, something that goes wrong.
And essentially an asteroid collides with the moon.
And it's this catastrophic event that we call Earthfall
that ultimately rains down Shrapnel across the Earth in this event.
And so there's different zones where this Shrapnel rains down
that we're calling the Sacrifice Zone.
And these Sacrifice Zones around the world
are where you're actually having this gameplay experience.
And so what happened was, once all this Shrapnel came down
into these spaces around the world,
we went in and discovered a space component that we're calling Sigma.
And this Sigma element unlocks quantum physics
in a breakthrough in quantum physics in our reality.
And so what this does, it enables different weapons
and different abilities within the game itself
that are Sigma power.
And ultimately, it's sort of like the novel entity within the world
that you're ultimately trying to go into a gameplay session
and extract, take out the Sigma from it.
And that's ultimately what the goal is of the game itself.
And that's how you're going to explore.
We also have a lot of other lore
that we're trying to flush out to different media channels,
including comic books, live action series.
Our studio itself and our creatives, HBO Interactive,
so they have a lot of history and transmedia storytelling.
They worked on really small projects like Game of Thrones, Westworld.
So they're used to sort of storytelling.
And really, the gameplay itself is only going to be one component
of exploring the lore.
That is very interesting.
And so let's talk gameplay,
because I know you guys have blockchain integration, obviously.
How was Shrapnel born?
I've not played, if I'm being honest.
I've heard a lot about you guys,
so I'm kind of looking from the outside in.
How does somebody get involved with Shrapnel?
I know there's extraction packs.
I know there's a bunch of other things.
Give us maybe just a quick summary of what Shrapnel's all about
beyond the lore now into gaming, blockchain gaming,
and everything you guys have been doing lately.
Yeah, shoot, man.
It's been two years that we have been Web3's most anticipated game.
So we are so excited that this is going to be the year
that people can actually play our game,
and hopefully we can take that best Web3 game title down.
And so no fault to your own, Brando,
but literally the game has not been playable
unless you've been at a conference where we've had a build
or we've invited you up to our studio to actually play it.
So just like you're saying to actually gain access
to the first publicly playable Shrapnel experience,
you're going to need one of those extraction pack codes.
I would love to work with you to get ATS holders,
Graves community members, some of those codes in their hands
so that they can get early access into Shrapnel.
That's coming very, very soon here in Q1.
And also, dropping some alpha,
there might be some earlier play session opportunities
in these exclusively for our operator NFT holders,
TBD when that's coming out.
But we're just really excited to actually get players into the game
and to speak more about the gameplay experience
of what you can expect, right?
Our whole vision for this was to make a completely
gasless free-to-play game.
And so we were actually sitting on this idea for a while
in terms of our head of studio, right?
Our actual CEO purchased the Shrapnel.com domain
back in 1995 and has been sitting on it this whole time.
And that's actually also around the time he originally wrote the lore
with the Rockstar Games co-founder.
And they actually wrote the original comic books for Shrapnel.
But anyways, fast forward to today.
We wanted a gasless free-to-play experience
where we can meet gamers where they're at.
So we're going to be available for download in the Epic Game Store
so that if you're just a fan of shooters, right?
You just like FPS.
You can go find us in the Epic Game Store.
Download Shrapnel and jump right into gameplay
without having to know anything about wallets,
NFTs, coins, crypto, whatever.
You just figure out if Shrapnel the game is fun, right?
How we enable blockchain features is just that, right?
So we hide the blockchain and abstract sort of the friction
and blockchain technology and really just highlight
what features does this enable, right?
So when you're coming into our game and you're creating an account,
we go ahead and give you a player inventory.
But on our back end, right, we're actually creating a wallet for you
on our Avalanche subnet, right?
But you don't know that as a player.
You're just like, this is my player inventory.
I'm used to this.
When you go ahead and pull out that credit card
to buy our in-game currency, Shrapnel, right?
If you're just a gamer, you're like, okay, hey, yeah, I'm buying V-bucks,
whatever, I want to buy a cool skin.
But that's actually a cryptocurrency purchase
that's enabled by our MoonPay integration
and you're not even realizing you're buying cryptocurrency.
Same thing goes for our NFTs, right?
So all of our skins, all of our vanity,
our NFTs themselves, right?
But for you or like for a normal gamer,
these are just skins, right?
They're just like, oh, hey, I think this is cool.
I'm going to need to get some tokens or some in-game currency
to go ahead and buy those skins.
But then once they see the benefits
and hopefully the enhanced experience of the Black Chain technology,
they're like, oh, hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,
this is totally different than what I'm able to do in Fortnite
or Call of Duty because, hey, this skin that I bought,
I can now go sell it if I don't want to rock it anymore.
I can now go send it to my buddy so he can play with it
if I don't want to play with it.
And it's like, oh, wait, hey,
like there's this actual digital ownership
that I'm experiencing in Trapnal,
but I'm not experiencing it in these other FPSs that I'm doing.
And hopefully that aha moment
makes them want to have a sticky experience
and hopefully obviously the game needs to be fun.
But hopefully that is going to make players
want to be in Trapnal ecosystem
because they have more ownership afforded to them
through obviously our Black Chain integrations.
So that makes way more sense
because we have somebody that I brought up on stage,
really good friend of mine, 8mother from 8Preunion.
A lot of people know him in our platform
and he's had a project in Web3
for a couple of years now at least,
a very successful one too.
And he was texting me saying,
bring me up when you talk Trapnal
because he participated in the big event last week
and kind of wants to chat about it,
maybe his experience about it a little bit.
So 8mother, happy to have you here, obviously.
We'd love to hear your experience with Trapnal,
how it went, what your thoughts were.
Take the stage. Thank you.
Yo, what's up, people?
Happy Thursday evening.
It's great to be back on Ape Spaces.
I effing love you guys.
Yo, Alex, you are really good
at sharing everything Trapnal.
I spent last Friday evening
playing in the Shrap Night event.
I think it started at like 4 p.m. Pacific
and I was just playing Shrap Night
until like 8 p.m. with everybody.
It was great to see Orangie out there.
It was great to see Doug Hype.
You guys are doing a phenomenal job.
Basically, for those who don't know,
like, Shrap Night is like,
if you can't play Shrapnal,
which you really can't right now,
like we're just a few weeks early,
you can play Shrap Night.
And so you should come out on Fridays
if you like playing Fortnite
on the Shrap Night custom map.
Last week, there was like,
I want to say 1,500 people playing at once
on the Shrap Night map
and it was trending like number 3
on all the maps used on Shrapnal.
Not only that,
it was like a good preview
of what potential the game has.
Like we're running around,
like waiting for the sacrifice zones
and like collecting Sigma
and like just getting marked
and it was really effing fun.
Not only that, for participating
and I actually won a match
with like the requirements
that were pretty lofty.
And these guys sent me like
5,000 free B bucks
and like that's like money in my pocket
just for like testing their game
and having fun with their community.
So I just wanted to give you guys a shout out
and say your community is effing awesome
and I am pumped
and I'll see you tomorrow night
at the Shrap Night event.
Let's go.
Love to hear it guys.
And just to reiterate
what 8mother was saying,
we have a lot of activated Discord game nights.
Come check it out.
It's a ton of fun.
Right now we're playing Shrap Night
because we can't play Shrapnal yet.
Soon we'll be able to shift that over
to Shrapnal.
But we wanted to show off
just a little bit ideas
of interoperability
because we are going to be having
a very similar map editor ourselves
in the future
so you can almost think of us
as UEFN for blockchain games.
So we wanted to show off interoperability.
So what we actually did was
we took real Shrapnal assets.
So like the buildings that you're seeing
in this Fortnite map,
the vehicles that you're seeing
in this Fortnite map, right?
They're literally from our asset library
and it was so cool
that we're able to take Shrapnal,
the Shrapnal universe
and really create our own Fortnite experience.
So like for example,
there's no building in Shrapnal, right?
So we took that out of our Fortnite map
so you can get a little bit familiar
with what maybe you can expect in our game.
And very similar to this, right?
It's like, okay, hey,
who is actually going to build maps
if you open up a platform, right?
So we actually wanted to eat our own dog food
and try this out ourselves
because ultimately what we want to do
and our ultimate goal at Shrapnal
is we're going to open up our platform
to our community
to express themselves creatively.
So giving them, right,
a AAA first-person shooter game
as a platform to build on top of.
So what that looks like
is we're going to be giving them
a map editing tool.
We're going to give them different prefabs,
different frameworks
to be able to templatize it a bit
so they aren't starting from ground zero.
But ultimately the community
is going to be able to create custom game modes
and a map.
So if they want to recreate
a Battle Royale experience in Shrapnal,
they have the ability to do so.
If they want to create
a team deathmatch CSGO type 5 on 5 experience,
they can do so.
If they want to have more fun
with like Capture the Flag,
King of the Hill,
or even non-gunplay game modes
that I can't even think of yet.
You know, if you want to be that creative
that creates the next genre-defining game,
just like how Dota came out of a Warcraft 3 mod,
we want to empower our community
to be able to do that.
And then ultimately align incentives
such that they're able to be rewarded
for that contribution based on the playability,
based on the popularity of that map,
such that they feel like they're rewarded for that
and they don't have to go ahead
and spin out from Blizzard,
go to Valve, create Dota 2,
and now Blizzard's really sad
that they couldn't keep the Dota IP
under that umbrella.
We're hoping that one day,
a UGC map from our community
will be more popular
and will have more playability
than the main game mode
that we as the studio are pushing out.
That sounds incredible.
So these codes,
I'm getting some of the apes
that are hitting me up in the background
being like,
Shrapnel said codes.
We want the codes.
So these codes that you gave us,
I can give out to some of the grapeholders
and that will give them access to the game.
In two weeks, you said?
How do they go upon using these
just for clarity purposes?
Yeah, exactly.
So you got to create a shrapnel.com account.
These codes themselves are just that.
They're a unique string of letters and numbers.
You redeem that to your shrapnel.com account.
The different codes and different packs
have different tiers of goodies in them.
And those goodies are going to get
essentially airdropped into your player inventory
into that shrapnel.com wallet
once they've been created
and there's a whole schedule
on what you can expect for drops
for the various codes
between light all the way up to heavy.
And they're going to be usable
for the entirety of our early access period.
So we expect early access
to last many, many, many months,
at least probably six.
And so you're going to need
one of those extraction pack codes
to be able to get entitled
to get access there.
And so, Brando,
I'll give you a lot more codes after this.
Don't worry about that, brother.
And we can figure out
how to get your community access.
Pumped up.
We have something called holder treats
or some treats.
They're like a bunch of dogs, you know.
They can sniff it out.
I even enter if I'm being honest.
I click that button once in a while
if you guys know.
Yo, shrapnel, that's amazing.
In regards to like actually playing the game,
I'm assuming this is a PC game
just because I haven't played.
So PC or Mac.
If somebody had like,
is that for what you guys are offering,
typically, like,
I don't know how to word this.
Like, is this something we'll eventually
see on other platforms?
Like, is this going to be on,
is this mainly going to be PC,
is what I'm asking.
And that's also dependent
not entirely on us, unfortunately.
So, yes, we're going to be launching,
optimized to PC.
Sorry, Mac folks.
You'll have to wait till later.
And then, you know, our vision, right,
is to be on all the platforms,
distribution platforms.
We want to be on Steam.
We want to be on Tencent and Easy in China.
We want to be on the PlayStation store.
We want to be on the Xbox store.
We want to move into console.
But ultimately, right,
there's a lot of platforms
that aren't honestly receptive yet
to blockchain integrated games.
And thank goodness the Epic Store exists
because honestly, I don't know what we would do
other than build our own proprietary launcher
and downloader,
which is not always the funnest thing to do.
But so, yes, we want to.
And we are confident that market sentiment will change
and so that these distribution platforms
will change their tune a little bit
and we'll be able to get out there
to everyone who wants to play us
on whatever their preferred platform is.
It's funny because I wanted to drop
Xbox or PlayStation,
but I almost thought maybe because of the narrative,
that was like a stupid question to ask.
So I'm glad you brought that up.
Yeah, I was just, by the way,
I enjoyed listening to even the lore story
that was perfect.
I almost wanted to ask,
okay, so why did they start fighting each other
all of a sudden?
I kind of realized, yeah,
if it's a scarce mineral,
you have to kind of battle it out
and get the resources,
if you answer the first part,
if the industry actually started to pivot
and started to accept more of the blockchain games,
but I guess we need more clarity on that
from the industry itself.
How was the response from the industry,
your competitors,
your similar product builders?
What do they say about your experience in the game?
Have they tried it out as the partners responded?
Yeah, so I guess there's a few different ways
to tackle that.
We've been very open in our development process
in terms of trying to bring in both the community
as well as different creators and voices
so that we weren't just building this in a box
and then ultimately have like a not fun product
at the end of the day.
So we're very fortunate
that Myth has been one of the team advisors
since the very beginning.
Myth is a big web two Twitch streamer
and he gets ported builds directly to his PC
every time there's an update
and he gives us real-time feedback on those builds
of like how's the movement,
how are things improving and whatever
from a gameplay experience, that's great.
So we try to bring in the players
and relevant parties into the game design process
as much as possible.
Secondly, in terms of like collaborators,
other publishers, game design studios,
we've actually found it very, very cohesive
in terms of collaboration on the web three side.
We actually are working with the gods and chain team
as well as a couple other teams
in terms of trying to figure out how to approach
as an industry of web three gamers,
of web three games,
how to best sort of tackle these platforms.
Like, okay, hey, what was working or not working
when you try to go to Steam?
What is or isn't working on Epic?
Why are some games getting delisted while others are okay?
And so really, behind the scenes,
there's a lot of collaboration and dialogue going on,
at least from our end, in terms of other games out there.
So that's been very nice.
And honestly, I think from the outside looking in
in terms of web two studios,
there's a lot of interest right now.
There's a lot of just eyeballs watching,
seeing how we're doing,
and they're keeping tabs on us 100%
in terms of just checking in,
checking the temperature,
and they want to see if we're ultimately going to be successful
And I think that's going to determine
if they ultimately follow suit.
So it depends on who you ask there,
but I think the web two folks are eagerly watching
how we do this cycle and these next product launches.
And then on the web three side,
it's really we're all in this together
in terms of like, hey,
if we're a web blockchain enabled game,
it's better to sort of band together
than feel like we're competitors or anything like that.
Yeah, you know what?
Sometimes I think I'm in a dream,
and when I wake up, I realize that, oh my God,
they've watched us build all of this stuff,
and they own the marketing web two,
and they're just going to come in and sweep in and say,
all right, we got the market,
we're just going to take over now.
So thanks for building everything.
And thanks for test piloting and everything.
It works perfect.
We got the five billion users.
So sorry, you're 30,000 users.
It's nothing.
But yeah, we are doing the God's work, so to speak here.
We are treading in the wild, wild west,
trying to figure things out.
See how this tech play to earn the attention economies work
with limited, of course, resources, limited eyeballs.
And I guess we'll see who the winner is of that race.
But I think shrapnel's got what it takes.
I looked at some of the sneak peeks here,
and it's just, it looks quality.
I mean, Unreal Engine 5 is not easy to work with.
So kudos for you, especially for making it work
on the blockchain, so appreciate it.
Yes, sir, dude, I can't take any credit.
It makes my job so easy that I just get to talk
about absolute fucking superstars.
All of our game team are fucking geniuses
and absolute OGs and Gs at game design,
and that is one thing I am totally 100% confident in.
These guys are literally decades of experience at Xbox.
Some of our sort of leads of the sort of head of studios,
they've been around since frickin' launching Xbox Live.
They're like, hey, Alex, back when we were launching
Xbox Live and moving from LAN experience
to a multiplayer online experience,
this is a little sort of similar to this paradigm shift
as well, and I'm like, damn, bro, you've been around.
And, you know, they're talking about, you know,
how when they were launching the Halo series
or Bioshock series or Ghost of Tsushima,
and they have just so much experience
with flagship and tentpole titles
that, you know, at least on the game side,
I can be super confident in them
and their ability to create, like,
a really good experience there.
So when it's talking about those guys and the game itself,
I can be super jazz and enthusiastic.
Right on, man.
Yeah, I love that sentiment.
All right, well, is there anything we missed,
Shrapnel, you wanted to share,
before we kind of switch segments and reset the room?
I'm excited now.
Like, I want to play really badly.
I will be honest, I only have a Mac,
but I have three brothers that are, like, super avid gamers,
and I'm going to have to go, like,
rent or, like, borrow their PC to play
because they're going to want to play.
I'm sure they're in here, probably, like,
yeah, I hope you have a code for me.
Yo, I want a Shrapnel-built custom PC.
How about that?
We might be building some of those
and giving those away to the community
in future incentivized ways.
So who knows, actually.
We actually are ordering some skateboard decks right now,
so that's interesting.
But anyway, so closing thoughts, guys,
be sure to be locked in to ATS and Grapes
because we're going to be giving out
some massive extraction packs to their community.
So be locked in there to get early access to Shrapnel.
Be locked into our Twitter as well as our Discord
for ending up our game nights,
as well as for those exact dates of when early access is coming.
The last thing I will say is, you know,
believe in Web3 and believe in the native builders here
because even though magical, you know,
he said, like, the Web2 sort of behemoths and incumbents
are coming and watching, but we truly believe
that someone native from this industry
is going to be the leader, just like with mobile games.
Saw Zynga as well as Supercell
become emergent and dominant in those spaces.
It wasn't some incumbent.
We believe the same thing is going to happen in Web3.
So, guys, keep your eyes open
and go play some fun games this year.
That was amazing. Appreciate it.
Love to have you guys back for an update.
Maybe in, like, a month's time, we'll, you know,
let everything get sorted,
allow some players of ours to get out there
because, you know, 8mother is a really good friend of mine
and he's obviously a gamer,
but we have a lot of gamers in our community, too.
So, once they try it out,
we'd love some feedback from them as well.
So, love to have you guys back.
Appreciate it, Alex.
Thank you so much.
Guys, if you haven't already,
make sure you're following Play Shrapnel, okay?
You can check out their website, shrapnel.com.
Go create an account, get ready.
If you're a grape holder or a rota holder
or an ATS holder, anything in our ecosystem,
there's going to be some packs for you guys
in holder treats tonight.
We'll do a little giveaway bot
and we'll give away some of those for sure.
So, exciting stuff.
Appreciate that, Alex.
Thank you so much.
Couple things.
I want to reset the room quickly.
I want to remind you, every time we host an Ape Space,
I give away $1,000.
So, if you want to win $1,000 USDC,
we do a Twitter picker, okay?
We also, we post the transaction hash,
so it's transparent.
Here's how it's going to work tonight, though.
If you hold one of our partner NFTs or our NFTs,
you will win the full thousand.
If you don't, you'll win $500.
So, if you own, and because Eight Mother's up here now,
if it's an Ape Reunion as well, they'll win the full thousand.
So, if you hold an Ape Reunion or an Ape Reunion species,
you hold any toast-punk NFTs,
you hold ATS or grapes or rota,
you hold a quirky,
we're going to hear from Pappy right away.
Excited about that one.
Pappy's been trying to make me buy a quirky
for the last, like, month.
Just hammering me in the DMs.
No, I'm just kidding.
I actually am really curious about some of the stuff
that's going on over there, because those guys are crazy.
Or any of the gorgs, you'll win the full thousand bucks.
So, go enter, it's pinned up at the top there,
very simple.
We're supporting Racer Club Labs.
Good friend of mine actually owns Racer Club.
We've partnered up with them.
I see the other Pappy is requesting up to speak.
This is going to be hilarious.
He probably thinks I'm talking about him right now.
I forgot he was in here.
Yo, Pappy, we were talking about the other Pappy.
No, I know.
I thought I'd just come up on stage
just to let everybody know that there is multiple Pappy's.
There's not just one.
If you guys didn't already know.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's great.
We are so back right now, because I have met two other Pappy's
in the last 24 hours.
We are super back right now.
Great to meet you, Pappy.
I just realized I've been fucking up the name.
I've been saying Pappy, like a true Canadian.
It's Pappy.
Bro, my other Canadian friend calls me Pappy.
That's actually hilarious.
Wait, how did the name Pappy come for you?
So the background story is my wife is Puerto Rican.
I am Italian Irish.
So Pappy, like an Italian Irish guy named Pappy,
doesn't make much sense.
But my wife is Puerto Rican.
Her mom calls everybody Pappy.
That's like part of it.
But the actual reason why is because when the pandemic
started, me and four of my friends, who all trade,
started playing Call of Duty Warzone.
We would get like a 12 case of, you know,
true leads or high nunes or whatever.
We get completely wrecked, play Warzone,
and watch the charts.
And we all crushed it in crypto, like everybody's life changed.
But we were like trading together.
We were like playing Warzone.
Like, oh my God, look at this.
Let's get in this.
Let's get in that.
And so our little clan was like, I was Bitcoin Pappy.
My friend was XRP Pappy.
He's still like an XRP whale.
The other guy was ETH Pappy.
So we all had that name.
And when I came into NFTs, I was actually crypto Pappy,
then JPEG Pappy.
And then I was like, eh, that's too long.
So it just all broke down to Pappy.
And that's how we got here.
And it's inspired by Drake, champagne Pappy, crypto Pappy.
So that's like, you have a Latino wife.
So that makes a lot of sense.
So you're her Pappy for sure.
Her Pappy Chulu.
My last name is Pappy No.
That's where Pappy comes from for me.
And I spent a lot of time in Latin America in 2023.
I did backpack Nicaragua, I did Costa Rica, Colombia.
And I did Belize when I was 20 as well too.
And I had no idea what Pappy meant in Latin America
or in Spanish until I went down to Belize
and I was dancing at this club with these Belize ladies.
And they were like, what's your name?
And I was like, Pappy.
They were like, oh, Pappy Chulu.
And I was like, what the fuck are they talking about?
They're like, it means sexy man.
And I was like, oh, okay.
So now it's like, it's hilarious because whenever I go down
to Latin America or like Spanish countries,
I'm like hesitant about dropping the name Pappy
because it's like maybe 50, 50,
whether people want to call me their daddy or sexy man or not.
But my first name is Matthew,
but that's where Pappy comes from for me.
So whenever I see your profile, it's funny.
Cause it says the one and only Pappy as you tag.
And I'm like, there's a couple of puppies out there web three.
We're living parallel.
We're living parallel universes.
So I actually traveled for about five or six years
all around South America.
So, um, I don't share that part of it,
the inspiration, um, because now I'm married
and I have a child and I'm, I'm just well behaved.
But it's actually funny guys.
Does this happen to you?
Sometimes guys are like, it's a little weird calling you.
Yeah. Like the guys, like I,
I worked this contract on Solana for like eight months,
building this game.
And, uh, the, the CEO is his name's Fernando.
And anyways, he's, uh, he's Spanish.
And when we first met, he was like, bro,
I can't call you Pappy.
It just makes me feel so weird.
So he just calls me P. So anybody that can't call me Pappy or call us Pappy,
they can just call us P.
But that's all good.
That's hilarious.
But there's the Pappy.
Nice to meet you, Pappy.
Yo, this is legendary.
Oh my God.
And now I'm just going to call both of you P.
Yo, P dog.
And, uh, I literally, it was so funny.
I fucking jumped over to the Altcoin daily, um, uh, space that they have.
And I was, I was there for a second and I looked over and I was like,
okay, what's going on? And, uh, what's going on in the Abe space?
I saw a Pappy in here and I was like, Oh man,
I'm going to jump in here and say what's up.
So Hey guys, welcome.
Dude, I'm happy to have you. Um,
I do want to just turn the conversation to a few things.
Uh, first and foremost, if you're brand new in the room,
go up to the nest, you can win a thousand bucks tonight.
You should go do that.
Very simple to enter.
And we do that just to get back to web three,
go spend that on whenever you want.
Um, online gambling, um, you know, uh, uh,
metaverse cocaine. No, I'm just kidding.
Don't do that.
Uh, but I do want to talk to, um, JPEG poppy about quirkies because
I've been seeing them a lot.
Um, we have a hatos, uh, that's been bugging me to get them up here as
well. And you know, fair enough.
I mean, they're all over my timeline all the time.
So, uh, I want to learn more.
I know that you guys are, uh, you do a lot into fashion,
but I'll just let you like, take it away.
Cause I know you're like a diehard, uh, uh, quirky guy.
So I'm definitely curious about what's going on over there.
I appreciate that.
You know, uh, Brando, it's a long time coming, man.
You know, hatos is the glue.
And honestly, um, along this journey in web three,
you find some, you find some weird people, man.
You find some annoying people, you find some grifters,
and then you find some really, really, really good people.
And, uh, hatos is one of those, not the, not the first two.
He's the last one. Um, you know, shout out to T Lee as well.
Um, also, uh, I could,
I could go on for decades about, uh, the servant leadership,
uh, for T Lee and how he just literally helps everybody around him
selflessly, self selfless Lee and also eight mother too.
Um, very recently, honestly, over the last month or two,
we've been on several spaces together and, uh, you know, big, big fan.
As far as, uh, magic and moon, we've never crossed paths before.
So I just shot you guys a follow and Poppy also a let go.
Great to be here.
So Brando, I've, I've, uh, watched you from a distance.
Obviously hatos is a diehard.
Ape and a big supporter of, of you guys and what you're doing.
So again, just wanted to start off with some good energy and give credit where
credits do and also say what's up to everybody. Um,
so yeah, I've been in this space. I'll, I'll keep this obviously respective.
I sometimes you get on these spaces and you know,
people forget that elevators don't go up for three hours, right? Uh,
you got it. You gotta, you know, put, get the point across,
hit some key things.
And I think the best part about this space is there's a lot of places to vote
your ETH, soul, Bitcoin, whatever it may be. And you know,
if it makes sense and it's simple, people are going to find their way, um,
into the DMS or do some research. And so, uh,
if quirky vision makes sense,
my DMS are open and the community is extremely friendly.
So, uh, you can definitely very quickly get what you need and you know,
dive deep. Um, so actually I've been a holder. It's crazy.
So Quirky's minted 0.05, uh, February of 2022.
So it's actually a two year old project here in a couple of weeks.
I got in about a week after the mint. I was, uh,
at that time I came from a very heavy 100% crypto
background from 2015 where I bought my first Satoshi's, um,
and stacked ETH around 150 bucks is when I got in that I was just
early crypto and well positioned, did very well.
And I was all in on a crypto project and we ended up getting
rubbed by a combination of Logan Paul, uh,
Amanda Cerny and also some of the other people involved.
And it was pretty disappointing because I lost about a million bucks.
Obviously I didn't lose my whole bag, but nobody wants to lose a mill.
Um, you know, nobody's volunteering for that. Um,
and I was just kind of like, I was pretty heartbroken, right?
Because a lot of my friends were involved in it. Um, you know, luckily I didn't
bring many people in, but I was a huge vocal piece to it.
And, uh, I had no control. I tried to buy the project.
Thank God I didn't cause I just would have prolonged probably the inevitable
and I was just kind of down and out. So anyway,
my friend who was in that project, we were the number one and two holders.
He came to me and said, dude, let's just, let's just go do NFT stuff.
And I'm like, honestly, NFTs sound really dumb.
I've never thought about buying them. I, I, like, it was a joke to me.
I was like, dude, why is somebody spending 20 grand on a stupid picture?
Um, that was me. But he goes, look, no, dude,
look at world of women, look at proof collective.
So he showed me a couple of good projects and I had started to move some
eth over and I started to get the bug.
I bought a mutant from a 16 year old kid who had like eight more mutants were
like, I don't know, 30, 40 grand at the time or whatever it was.
And I was like, what are you doing bro? 16 years old.
You got like nine units. He's like, yeah, man,
I minted a bunch of them or whatever. I bought them on secondary.
I was like, bro, this NFT thing is crazy.
So I bought my first eight and a few weeks later, um,
I saw some eight shilling quirkies and I was like, Oh dude,
this art is sick. And I heard on my spaces,
some guy talking about how it was a 5,000 collection in a sea of eight to 10,000
and how the art was really special, no smoking traits.
And he could see it building up and getting acquired and being something
big. And that's really where the journey began for me.
Cause it just made sense from an IP perspective. I saw the vision.
I also saw from a financial perspective that it could become something
great. And, uh, I just dove in and I fell in love with the community.
Um, to make a very long story short, two years later, I became, you know,
within the two years, I became the number one holder,
wrote it through ups and downs. We've had, I mean,
we had, uh, several very large holders dump and, uh,
that's a whole other story. But over the last year or two,
we've really cleansed it out. We've gotten a lot of people out who didn't
want to be here. A lot of people out who, you know,
just bought at the wrong time or whatever.
And we focused on community and I was just a community leader in a holder.
But about 35, 40 days ago, um,
I kind of sat at a crossroad and said, Hey, look,
I want to do something in this space. I've built a good reputation.
I've, I've never taken a dollar from anybody. I've never, you know,
done anything but support.
All my wallets are filled with tons of different projects that I've just
bought and held. Um, and I just love supporting good people.
And I see a big long-term vision. And so I joined the team.
And Quirky's were at 0.3 five e a few days before I joined the team.
I knew that was pretty temporary because the listings were only a hundred and
less than a hundred were listed at that time. So I was like, ah,
this is whatever. I don't even care. It's good. Shake everybody out.
today, well, the floor price is what it is,
but that's not what I'm here to talk about.
So from our business perspective and really our vision,
I stepped in as the head of web three, the founder sin.
I trust with everything. Um, I decided to partner with him for a reason.
Uh, he is brilliant.
He's very good in the web two world, dealing with corporate,
dealing with partnerships, dealing with product. Um,
I brought him ideas today, for example,
like we talk a couple of times a week and I brought him some ideas or
things that I want to do. And he is so good at dissecting,
you know, why things will work and why they won't. And so honestly,
it's like, I'm,
I'm so excited to show the world what we're building because we are going
we're gonna, we're gonna do a lot of great things.
And I know a lot of people promise stuff, but, um,
we have a hybrid model that I believe is very special. Um,
and the art just ties into it perfectly. So on the web two side,
we have a hybrid action sports brand. We,
and that covers a lot of things, by the way,
I think everybody has a little bit of love for skating, surfing, hiking,
whatever it may be. Um, and, and that's what we focus on.
And so we've done some drops. Actually, our,
our shop is open our classics or year round collection,
shop.quarkies.io. Um,
where you can go right now and buy hoodies and all different types of
But what we're leaning into in 2024 and beyond are,
is a double headed monster, if you will. Number one,
it's exclusive drops. So every 30 days you're getting access to something
exclusive, usually two or three skews. Now,
what's the second head of that, which I'm so pumped about.
And this is what separates us, right?
We're not an NFT project that's dropping another black hoodie.
Now look, I will say people are very critical,
but I think every good brand, like if I love,
you know, whatever project I'm going to want a hoodie.
Like it's just, so I think sometimes people are too critical,
but I think where the problem lies is that if a project is pitching that
as you, that's like a utility, that's kind of embarrassing. I get it.
But Hey, I like black hoodies personally.
So give me more of the project I love. But anyway,
you know, we're building this brand and the, and the key,
the second piece to this is the smart chip technology.
And so last week we dropped a 111 sweatsuit addition one and 55 skateboards,
both of which sold out within an hour. Um,
both of which have smart chip technology, very high quality stuff,
high quality boards, high quality sweatshirt and a sweat pant combo.
And now forever,
the buyers of those have first edition, um,
you know, smart, smart chips treat where that we can a reward them for.
So we're going to,
we're going to be able to track and reward people, um,
that are buying and holding these things. Um,
they can be tracked on chain if they need to be transferred or sold.
So it, as we grow, we're small, we're small companies.
As we grow, we're small, we're small company now. So some people will be like,
Oh, that might not dad. Well, big deal. Like, why do you need the authenticity?
We plan on being a worldwide global brand and we have some massive corporate
partners that are going to back us in that, um, five to be exact.
And I believe within 24 months,
Quirky's will be in a category with, you know, some of the,
some of the bigger streetwear brands.
And so it is important because people sell fake stuff on secondary
all the time. And your, your stuff will always be authentic.
Now we're also going to release things that are not streetwear, uh,
the smart trip stuff, the smart chipped, um,
but it's all high quality. So that's the web two side. And look,
there's so much more, but again,
I'm going to try to keep this brief and we can,
we can dive deeper and deeper personally, if,
if anybody wants to completely open to that and you can ask anybody in
quirks. Um, I communicate.
That's my number one thing is being ahead of community.
You've got to communicate. You got to care about your holders.
So, um, I am there now on the second side, web three,
this was pretty simple. What is web three? Web three is digital identity.
It's metaverse gaming and it's the ability to connect with people
through blockchain technology that has a face.
So all the things that you would think would take place from a web
three facing project, we do that. Um,
we don't give alpha or white list or you know,
any type of like syndicate or anything like that. It's not our project,
but we are community driven.
We will have placement in plenty of games.
And on the gaming side,
there's one specific thing that I'm just dying for the day that I can
even piece it, let alone get us into, um,
the early stages of what most people would consider beta,
but we do have something that is very, very fun. And I don't know.
It brings me back to my childhood nostalgia and it ties beautifully
into streetwear action sports. Um,
so I'll leave it there. That's enough alpha, but I'm,
but I'm excited and Tony Hawk inspired my childhood. So, um,
you know, maybe, maybe you could figure it out from there. But anyway,
very excited about that side. And we're not a gaming project,
but we're, we're going to be involved in games. Um,
and you know, from the art perspective, we have some stuff coming. Um,
we're, we're, we're digging in and, uh,
I'm just super pumped. So there's some things that I want to share,
maybe Brando in a month or two, I'll be back on. And we can,
we can talk about a few of the things that we're getting ready to launch
or ship mid February. Um, something very exciting will happen as well.
And, uh, we're just going to be consistent and grow.
We're not going to make promises,
but we're going to under promise and over deliver. That's my style.
We're going to show up every day and, uh, and serve.
And so that's really quirky is in a nutshell.
We have a secondary collection called the quirklings.
There will be a third collection, but it's not an inflationary.
We don't believe in increasing supply or doing mints just to suck money
from your holders. Um, not again, taking shots,
but we just don't believe in that. Um,
we believe that our real business models, our real, you know, uh,
what we've done already, our treasury is well protected.
It wasn't destroyed in the great bear. And, uh,
we do enforce royalties,
but a hundred percent of those royalties go back to the project and we're.
No, we lost them. No. Um, you know,
I was just like literally just enjoying that.
Hopefully we get him back up here. Well, while we're, uh,
waiting for him to come back up, um, we've got haters up here.
Who has been, um, pretty proud, uh,
quirky's holder for, for quite some time.
Maybe, uh, tell us about your experience.
Um, with quirky's, uh,
in regards to maybe the community involvement, uh,
and just being a part of, of the project.
Yeah. Yeah. No.
So originally actually got onboarded.
Sorry, buddy's just in a microwave or flew out of an airplane or
Sorry, originally got onboarded by parvy.
buddy's just in a microwave or flew out of an airplane or
Um, sorry, originally got onboarded by parvy.
Uh, back would have been six, seven plus months ago.
Just that work.
Matter of space is just being terrible right now.
Or what's going on here?
Freaking Elon.
That was actually my fault.
I fat fingered the leave button, but they,
they should definitely, they should definitely be like,
are you sure you want to leave?
Like if you hit the leave button, you are out.
Like it is gone.
And then you have to be like, okay,
how do I find Brando?
And I didn't even know it.
And she couldn't get back in the room.
And I realized, uh, yeah,
I clicked that band button by accident accident.
But no, that's, um,
that what you said there really resonated, um, with me.
Uh, you know, a, a lot of the things you're doing,
I think, uh,
I don't know, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
That's, um,
that's what you said there really resonated, um, with me.
Uh, you know,
a lot of the things you're doing, I, I, I agree with.
I mean, there's been, um,
create a royalties or something that is talked about quite a lot.
And I don't think.
Enough people realize that.
There's a lot of web three companies out there that do not rely
on creator royalties.
People realize that there's a lot of web three companies out there that do not rely on creator
royalties, right?
But they do supplement utilities within the community.
And it is important to have them, right?
If you care so much about, even if they're low, like fuck, like 3%, for example, right?
If you care that much about 3, 4%, list the NFT higher, you know?
Sell it for more.
Like, that's just the way that I've done it in the past.
And there are companies out there, right, that will pad their pockets, the founders pad the
pockets of the royalties and whatever it is, right?
But there are legitimate businesses out there that will use that money to grow things for
the community.
And I think that's really important.
Every revenue stream should matter.
So I do like that mentality.
I think it goes against the grain a little bit for some of the projects we have on board.
But I agree with it.
It's what we do at ATS as well.
And I think it's a great approach.
And so I want to give it a go.
I'll just quickly double tap that Brando.
And dude, like, I'm so happy that leaders in the space also agree.
I also talked to one of the biggest investors, farmers, a good friend of mine.
He's a very big ETH guy in the space.
I talked to him today and we were just catching up and he's like, dude, why aren't quirkies
And he's like, why would you do that?
Aren't you hurting yourself?
And I'm like, bro, go look at our volume.
Like, go look at our volume, go look at our culture and you will see the top 25, 30 wallets
are collectors.
They're not traders.
We don't I personally don't need to build a business with that type of volume.
I'm not after that.
You know, I think it's great, like cool.
But that's not what I'm after.
We're after people that are that are here that are ready to build.
And if farmers and traders come in, awesome.
So be it.
But, you know, we enforce royalties and we're transparent.
I'm not taking a salary.
God is good.
I do very, very well in Web two.
I didn't come to the space to make money.
I've never taken money out.
And I didn't need money from quirkies.
There's a long term play.
And if we are extremely successful, great.
I'll do OK.
But that's still not what I show up for every day.
Don't believe me.
Look at my wallet.
I've given away 52 quirkies in the last 33 days and none of them are on the floor.
They've all gone to great holders.
We have I believe we've attracted great people and 100 percent of the royalties are going
back into the project and FTNYC will be there.
If you guys are going to be in New York, whether you have a quirky or not, come vibe.
We're setting up a skating.
All I'm going to say is this.
We're setting up a skating type of event.
I'm working on a warehouse.
We're going to have fun.
It's going to be a blast.
And we're going to bring culture and the blockchain together.
And we're not the only ones doing that.
But anyway, if you're in New York, whether you have a quirky or not, come hang Brando.
Appreciate you so much, bro.
Thanks for the vibes.
Thanks for having me here.
Willing to come and support.
And by the way, I'm going to get some ATS.
It's time.
Much love, brother.
And hey, thanks for connecting the dots.
Yo, I appreciate that.
One sec before you leave.
I'm not leaving.
But that was my that was me trying to be respectful and by the way, the nicest milady
I've ever met.
And I really appreciate your energy.
I'm being super serious.
I usually get a little intimidated because I'm like, man, I don't feel like getting
trolled right now.
But now Moonpies got good vibes.
I can tell.
Yeah, she's good.
I'm being serious.
I usually get a little intimidated because I'm like, man, I don't feel like getting trolled.
I actually can't hear my dad.
She's good.
She's talking.
She's unmuted.
Oh, my God.
This is going to be one of those spaces, a holy moly, yo, Papi, I had a question for
you, actually.
What role do the Quirklings play in the Quirkies ecosystem?
First off the story.
So from the story perspective, we're actually building out the IP and we're going to lean
into that very heavy this year because I believe we have something that can go big.
And so in that story, you have the Quirkies, which are like the native people to Quirksville.
The Quirklings are the hero.
And then just like any hero, there's an evil.
And so we have a third collection that is called inks.
You can only get inks on secondary or through a deflationary mechanism.
And so you'll be burning Quirklings that are 5000 ID and above.
So all the all the sub 5000s, they match to an OG Quirky.
And that's called an Alpha set.
The ones above 5000 are tools for burning.
And so we will we're actually adding more.
I'm giving some serious Alpha.
Most people in our community don't even know what we're doing yet.
But but we're slowly leaking some ideas.
We are we're figuring out some alternate things we can do with burnlings outside of just
that third collection.
But the goal is to take Quirklings from 10000 to 5000.
I'm sure we won't burn them all.
We'll take the ecosystem from 15,000 to probably 12 or 13,000 NFTs as opposed to adding more.
And we have some tricks up our sleeves for burnlings that aren't used for that third collection.
So you know entry level kind of like a mutant.
They have multiple utilities there.
Their solid in the art is arguably really, really good.
So multifaceted but I think Quirklings have an extremely bright future and I actually most
people will say this but like I think they're extremely undervalued as well.
Yeah no doubt.
No doubt.
Okay that's good to know.
I appreciate that.
Dude you've been a gentleman.
I really appreciate the info.
I'm gonna look I'm pretty picky about NFTs when I pick them up but I'm also a holder.
I'm not much of a flipper.
If I go into an ecosystem I'm holding that thing until typically I die.
You will do very well bro and you won't die so that's a good thing.
And I'll pick up some ATS and let's build the friendship, let's close the gap.
That's my thing.
I gotta get a hoodie though so you gotta help me.
Dude I'll help you out.
We recently merged as well so if you pick up just be aware if you pick up an ATS you'll
need to merge it right after but it's a pretty fun experience and we had two developers like
two developing teams that like both attacked in a good way our merge application in the
last like three four days straight so it's it's a really cool process it's very different
and we did it in a way that really protects our holders our OG holders so it's a cool
ecosystem.
It's amazing.
Heidos is the best so I'm literally gonna he if he doesn't DM me first I'll DM him
and he's gonna help me cuz I'm gonna need help but no I appreciate that.
It's exciting what you guys are doing so I'm happy we finally bridge the gap.
One hundred percent.
I appreciate it a lot.
Well you heard it from you heard it here first ladies and gentlemen eight spaces we got jpeg
pappy sharing quirkies and what's going on in their ecosystem.
I really appreciate it.
We definitely do want to have you back for an update.
He drops the mid february alpha so that sounds good to me so I'll reach out in that respect
as well and I'll be I'll be keeping my eyes out you know I'll talk to heidos so we can
work out as well but I appreciate that tremendously.
Couple things.
I want to reset the room.
We do have one more project that I want to get to and it's I have a funny story
about this one actually really funny and we're gonna we're gonna talk about that
in just a sec.
We are giving away a thousand USDC okay and here's how you can enter you go up to the
top you support myself both co-hosts actually we lost Vito move eyes back up though space
has been a bit of a nightmare today.
Make sure you're in the racer club discord and follow racer club okay they're powering
our space today it's been a fun one if you win that thousand dollars USDC you only win
a thousand if you're holding one of the ecosystem NFTs from our ecosystem quarkies
a per union stoners racer club so just be aware of that if you don't have one you
win five hundred bucks okay so just be aware of that right off the rip that's how it's
gonna work tonight and I'll confirm with that person if they hold any it is the blockchain
you can't just go buy one quickly and then expect to win a thousand dollars that's not
how it works we can timestamp that shit the next project I want to I want to showcase
and highlight a little bit is stoners and here's the reason why is for for I'll go
back in history a little bit can't remember the original mint date but they had an eath
collection that was like incredibly hype and when was it alico when was that yeah it
was actually first of all thanks for the intro man but it was actually almost two years
ago with the date so it was January 30th and 31st is when we actually launched the
gen one on e under the original stoner a club name yeah so I grinded that was like a mint
that I remember grinding for like it had create I was playing fucking marbles I there
was I can't remember one of your co-founders was streaming and like playing marbles and
hosting shows and shit it was really fun and I was like speaking in the discord I was
like spamming all the founders DMS being like whitelist me motherfuckers you know like
I was being a web 3 degenerate bro like straight up to try to get whitelist for this so that
goes back to the fact that like I'm a founder now and we've made moves in the space and
we do our thing but ultimately you go back a few years ago I was a deep to Jen you know
like I was grinding for whitelist and I was trying to get my way into certain places
and so the reason I'm even telling the story is because I started exactly where most people
start in this space you know so just be aware there's lots of opportunities in web 3 you
start to learn and guide your way into certain areas you're gonna navigate this space in
a way that you might be able to make something yourself in this space so just be aware that
but Alco appreciate that big time thanks for showing up would love to hear about what
moves you guys are making I've heard about a soul drop I know that holders get access
to that and then there's some airdrops so I'd love to hear about that and also what
exactly is going on in that ecosystem yeah for sure thanks for the intro man and I'm
hoping that you did end up getting a whitelist or being able to mince it or at least snag
one off secondary at the time because we all definitely started in the same boat so
love the humble beginnings kind of the same thing here I have a little bit of a similar
story in terms of like how I started you know just a freelance artist didn't really
know anything the NFT space was kind of heard it was all for artists so that was really
how I kind of like made my move you know what I mean begging for whitelist grinding
for stuff making like small flipping small NFTs for some small profits but it's good
to kind of like experience the entire journey from being a project founder it definitely
has its highs and lows so without further ado I'll definitely jump into what we're
building here so you did mention a Solana drop that is correct we're actually
migrating over from aetherium fully onto Solana and we'll be scaling our entire
ecosystem mainly on Solana indefinitely and really that's just because like I
truly believe that this is the chain of builders and you don't need you know
hundreds of thousands of dollars to like make an impact it's something that can
showcase talent and skills mainly just from like hard work and dedication as
well as the ecosystem itself is also cheaper for a variety of holders
themselves somebody holding one versus somebody holding a hundred it's honestly
almost the same cost from interacting with the ecosystem and we have we like to
have a lot of touch points especially in some of the custom elements that we're
going to be adding to our 3d stoner so let me jump a little bit into maybe why
the 3d and why we thought that that was a good opportunity on Solana what
the 3d encompasses and maybe a little bit around the fashion and the cannabis
merchandise and stuff themselves I'm not here to really show the merchandise as
much but I will touch on them just very briefly I want my main focus to kind of
be around some of the cool features and elements that we are building with the
3d stoners themselves and tangible utility that the holders will
actually receive once they own a stoner so in hindsight there's a lot to talk
about but let's summarize it as quickly as possible and as detailed as
possible so that people get a full understanding we thought that Solana was
a phenomenal ecosystem to bring 3d integrated art and a creative community
into mainly as myself as a clone holder I also hold in a kid called Beast both
phenomenal communities on aetherium so shout out to all the holders here but
one thing that I really aspired as from an artist was learning from being
part of the community not just throughout the hype but for throughout
the longevity of it as well so that was really something that I felt that both
those communities gave me through but through providing like 3d files
resources you know what I mean like a community of artists that actually
really just wanted to help one another and really just create in order to
promote brand awareness for their artistic collabs with other projects it
opened up a lot of opportunities for creative heads like myself so I kind of
wanted to replicate almost something similar on Solana since I do have like a
background of like running studios and managing artists for quite a while and
I am an artist myself so something that was a little bit dear to me I guess you
can say considering this is something that I feel that it doesn't just build
community from like a hype aspect but it also has a little bit of like an
education and skill set development element to it that can really aspire like
our holders moving forward to pretty much turn themselves into something that
they never really thought they'd be able to like attain and get an
opportunity from from web 3 I really believe in like self-development and
education is probably like one of the best skill sets and like attitudes that
you can have for improving yourself so I really did feel that like this directly
correlated to that main vision and dream that I did have for people who were
in my holding community not just leveraging all of our height but
actually being able to like turn themselves into something they never
really thought they could from just owning an NFT and being part of the
community so how we're actually doing that is providing 3d files and trade
assets and customizations and stuff like that all for our holders for
anybody that owns a 3d as well as we actually kind of audit a bonus recently
just for fun because I sneak peeked a couple of like some stoner anime previews
and stuff like that that we had kind of like come up some were drawn some were
even generated and people just seem to go crazy for them like they seem to love
them so I decided I said you know what like I feel like this is kind of
like as a creative project like we definitely need to utilize something
like this to its max potential and give the people what they want so we're
pretty much going to be doing a free art upgrade for like an anime version as
well just for people that aren't really the biggest into 3d art and maybe they
prefer more of like the 2d slash like anime style appearance for profile
pictures themselves as well as like also being able to benefit from the fully
rigged 3d files that they're going to get for any sort of animations and
blender stills so they're actually going to receive an anime art upgrade
for just owning the stoner as well as the original 3d files that we promised as
well with full IP rights and how we plan on really like scaling our creative
community further is that we're going to have like a lot of like creator
incentives that are I guess like fully aligned with people leveraging and
creating with the files really like whatever they want I know that like
there's been a lot of like backlash in particular like certain communities such as
like clonax for like how the team actually supports like the incentives and
resources that they're like promoting their audience to utilize and actually
create stuff with what we actually wanted to do is more so build like a
subsidiary of like a hiring studio that would actually like bring specific
artists within our communities like commission and even like hire them full
time for fully commissioned gigs full-time opportunities and even like
bring them in house if they're really working well with us for those that
significantly stand out in our community leveraging those files so
that's a little bit on the 3d side I want to move a bit quick so I do
cover like everything and if there's any like further questions that I need
to clarify please like ping me at the end or just ask me anything while I'm
still here and that kind of shifts me over to the next point on the fusion
element on how we wanted to customize some of our stoners on chain
so we're looking to build I guess a fusion lab or ecosystem where if you
hold two or more NFTs you would be able to customize one with the other
meaning if you have like let's say a hat and a necklace you really like
from one that you think would be a really nice combination on like a
sunglasses and a clothing or a hoodie from another one then you
would actually be able to merge both of those traits together while burning one
of the NFTs to ensure that our supply is deflationary
time over time every time people actually use this
integration that we have so that our supply is like always
technically getting like more value and theoretically our collection should be
aesthetically getting better the more people want to continue
customizing to whatever traits and I guess like perks that they
they do own that you do obviously have to own the traits themselves in order to
be able to leverage them so that would kind of help a little bit on
like our economic side of thing from a supply
standpoint but yeah that's really like one of the
more on-chain customized features that we did want to have
in regards to the art upgrade we're looking to do the same for the anime
however we want to roll it out first for our 3D
and the whole idea with the anime slash 3D is we want to have
almost the NFT be able to flicker back and forth like there'll be two options
literally on-chain for the NFT for you to pretty much
own both like it'll be both but almost in one like two different looks for
the NFT itself by claiming your art upgrade so
that's a little bit on the customization aspect and like a little bit more on
the creator side of what we're actually building
all this is really inspired because we're heavily inspired through
cannabis hip-hop and streetwear so we kind of wanted to bridge
everything all into like one look and into like one niche
and really like create that as like the look and feel of what our collection
actually is so originally we did get a lot of
inspiration from cannabis and we kind of shifted a little bit more
into like the streetwear and high fashion and stoners is I guess like the
perfect bread and butter baby of both of
them so we wanted to create like exceptionally
high fashion garments with exceptionally high fashion and
modern streetwear designs and almost market it
as its own web 2 subsidiary of what stoners would be
and market it to that particular audience to draw people back into web 3
to the original profile picture however we would be marketing it almost
like a fully web 2 company all along our instagram
so the platform would be a little bit more contextual to web 2 normies the
content would be a little bit more contextual to the normies as well
and if they take further interest in what stoners is and what we have and
beneficiaries to come on from the clothing point of view
they would actually be able to get onboarded into something like web 3
and profile pictures etc so that's a little bit on how we plan to
draw the chain or like design our umbrella
under both like cannabis products as well as merchandise and you can assume
the same thing for cannabis products they'll be very oriented towards a web 2
audience and structured of like clean beautiful
high quality accessories to start and then we
will actually be leveraging our partners both with rocket farms and high times to
be developing custom strains obviously where it's
legal to start out with they're going to help us with a
variety of product placement and helping with manufacturers to source
some of the best quality samples and products that we can actually showcase
and create phenomenal marketing material for of course and get into our holders
so just one last point on the apparel and
merch side before maybe i'll stop for some questions is
there's always going to be a public supply available to everybody because we
feel that that's scalable for our brand and ecosystem as a
whole yet we're always going to create collectors items and
specific pieces for holders so just a quick example our clothing
is only released in drops and once the drop
sells out you can never buy it again we will always have drops that are
specific for the public and there's always going to be that one or
two unique pieces that are solely available for
holders only just to clarify on the merchandise slash apparel piece there
will always be exclusive parts for holders as well as the generic
um modern public supply that we're looking to encompass a little bit more
brand awareness in those particular sectors but
yeah i um i kind of gave a lot of information at once so i want to maybe
like take a second for questions you know take a little bit of
a breath maybe i need to sip uh my cup of coffee once before we move
forward but yeah no i appreciate the time to
shill and we actually just dropped a pretty kick-ass trailer on our page
you can find it in my bio i don't know if people are pinning
stuff on the jumbotron so i don't want to kind of like force my
you know post up there but if you guys didn't check it out would really really
appreciate it i have a bunch of alpha and sneak peeks all over my page
i post stuff literally every single day and it's always something new
i work really really hard at developing the content so that i always have
something new to showcase on what we're developing here at
stoners we don't hide anything there's a lot of stuff that we have
planned in our content calendar that's still scheduled to go out but there will
always be a unique showcase and snippet sneak peek all
over my page as well as the stoners page um very
often and weekly so uh yeah no appreciate the time guys thank
yo so no that was really well said what's the supply for salana
like what's your what's your collection supply yeah no that's a great question
so originally we had i believe we have around two thousand
vials to claim or sorry four thousand vials to claim it's two vials and a sack
per burned claim in order for our original holders to claim on salana
and the complete supply on salana is 4420 so that leaves roughly around 2000
to be pub like give or take like let's say 2200
to be publicly minted um and which would be first come first serve open to
the public and we're taking a portion of that and
allocating it for 420 airdrops that we're going to be
inviting particular creators anybody that's been supporting us since the
start of our launch which is like our marketing initiatives at the start of
january 2024 um and reward those who we feel that
have gone above and beyond you know what i mean like just like you were
saying the og whitelist degens that level of
grind in we recognize those people nowadays you
know what i mean like i recognize the profile pictures i literally recognize who's
still commenting on my posts about stoner since january
first all the way to january 18th and i'm not going to forget
those are the people that i'm watching those are the people that i'm rewarding
um and i'm actually inviting some pretty um selective
very talented 3d artists in both the salana and the ethereum scene to share
files with so that we can have some stellar content made um kind of like a
little bit to i guess like ignite that spark in that
creator's economy uh and people have been so like so much
more than welcoming like even people coming over from clones people coming
over from beasts we've had some phenomenal artists um
pretty much already start creating with the files and
we do have public 3d files available um so i'll just say it now anybody on the
space um if you guys want the 3d files for
stoners right now that we do have publicly available we have male and
female available um you can dm me at any time here on my
twitter you can join the discord it's there in our
it's there in our discord server as well we do have everything available so please
my dm0 is open for any questions uh and fun fact a little bit of alpha
just on the 3d stuff we are getting our files suited and
ready to be on nifty island um hopefully tonight i'm sorting all the
files and testing them etc with my creative team and hopefully we are on
there tomorrow or the day after but look out for the stoners on nifty island
soon and you'll be seeing a little bit more content that i'll be developing on
my page and stuff like that for you know goofing around in there and stuff
uh but yeah no that was a great question thank you
appreciate that uh pappy's got his hand up what's going on
hey man uh yeah i just had a quick there uh quick one
i'm just thinking at your profile right now and i'm just seeing
the rtf kt and then the nike uh spot can you can you explain a little
bit about that i don't know if you did or not it's probably a little bit about
your background but the affiliation with nike
yeah that's more so an affiliation with artifact i'm a verified creator in the
community and artist so that's why it's like there um
i didn't want to spend too much time i guess talking about it because it's
not necessarily relevant to my project but
if my project is heavily inspired i would say on the creator side and the
creator's element from um working with artifact and some of the
community members there a good question yeah i just wanted i
was just wondering about your past a little bit but yeah thanks man appreciate
it no worries thank you
was stoner's the stoner eighth club before
yes it was correct okay okay so i have like a funny story
on that i guess like it's well it's kind of funny like depending on what you
find funny but um the board ape legal team um so
yuga lab's official legal team actually reached out to us and they told us that
they had um not like really a concern but they
were like they had a bone to pick with us i guess we can say in like layman's
terms of what our name was and our logo
was so hence like it kind of worked out
perfectly because we wanted to rebrand anyways since we've always called the
3d collection 3d stoners so now we kind of just figured let's drop the 3d
just be stoners right it's more modern it's mainstream
it's easy to comprehend and it's a little bit more trendy than
the ape derivative kind of correlation that sometimes we would get from being
like stoner ape club we didn't really want to be in like
board ape slash yugas like shadow so ironically the
you know the table's turned perfectly but we actually had to work alongside
with the yuga official legal team just to shift away from stoner ape club and
become stoners so just a little bit of background on that
yeah and so like what happened to stoner ape club
i use i i have a stoner ape club still and i remember i had them stakes before
and one time i i forgot all about him i went in and i was like oh what can i
get for my stinky i got a chipotle gift card
i totally forgot to to say this when stoner ape club minted
i must have wasted like 150 in gas like a degenerate
because i was trying to mint public and my fucking transactions weren't going
through so uh where can i get a refund for
that gas god damn dude dude i've seen you throw more than
150 at uh anyways yeah we don't need to we don't
need to get into the vagus stories but uh eight mother can uh eight mother can
attest as well too so i think that's just jump change for
brando yeah i i do have photos and videos dude i
actually man i commonly reflect back when i get a little bit sad sometimes i
commonly reflect back to that picture of fucking a mother brando with
fucking yellow uh uh the buddy that was having the
birthday party that we get the pvp access dude
they brought out like the biggest bottle of champagne in vagus
and then brando was just like i'm gonna take a picture with it
and josh and fucking a and a mother and uh brando just took a picture with his
fucking birthday bottle it was the most funny thing they they
brando thought it was pretty fucking cool but i was like bro it's it's it's not
your birthday bro it's it's my birthday when i say
it's my birthday you know i was in vagus all the way from
canada um you know nobody knew it wasn't my
birthday it's all good dude the after party was
that was in the the the the stairway
yeah it was that was uh that was a party for one
all right party for what i grew on for brando it's a good one
um you know uh dude i'm i'm i'm intrigued i'm very intrigued and so
um i've been out of the loop the last like week and a half
we've just been heads down uh did you guys
put them on salana yet are they out there
um it's just some of the airdrops that haven't gone out like how does that
work um are you referring to the gen one
collection yes so those are actually going to be
burned on the ethereum blockchain in order to be claimed so what
we're going to do is we're going to release
a burning website where people will be able to burn via
contract of course and you won't be eligible to actually complete the
transaction to receive the free claim on salana
unless you have one sack and two vials per 3d stoner
and the transaction won't go through unless you submit a valid salana wallet
and then you're going to get air dropped um what and what
whatever ratio that you would actually get so like let's say if you
submitted four sacks and you submitted eight vials you would get air dropped for
3d stoners on salana
oh cool nice um dope i love that so um what other
questions that i have you answered most of them honestly i came with a bunch of
questions and you just went right through it so
um i don't know i think that's it honestly art looks really
good i'm excited about that um i definitely want to get access to one
of these things i know that we had talked about
potentially giving some people in the space one or two air drops
why don't we uh do you want to why don't you pin up that trailer
and we'll give i will definitely give some air drops up on the space
um yeah so by all means anyone here in the space
you go raid the trailer i'll probably be picking from people
that do those following steps um support really means a lot to us you
know what i mean as we were saying before
but these air drops are mainly like i always look for people that are like
extremely active um in the community supporting not even
only just like our space or sorry not just our space but our
project but everybody else in the space as well
and these animations are there's more to come like it's not just
one i guess that we would say like this is like this isn't just like our
big trailer like this is going to be like our standard we really want to like
reshape marketing assets uh and materials for Solana itself
not many 3D projects have actually been able to capitalize on this in our
opinion on the chain so we honestly see it as a very solid
use case and opportunity potential for us to really to stand out with some of the
creatives that we do have and and reshape like the industry
standards a little bit from a creative standpoint so
yeah no appreciate everybody that raised and we'll definitely be picking a
few air drop winners live on the space
yo alico i had a quick question for you man that the promo video is dope by the
way but uh when it when it when it shoots
over to the scene of buddy blazing the doobie
is the sound actually the the sound coming from the burning of the of the
doobie yeah yeah yeah dude that it was that's
so fucking nostalgic dude like it's actually
like i don't smoke weed anymore but i'm from canada i smoked tons of fucking
dope from like 12 to 23 24 years old i smoked a lot of weed and
anyways the the the actual sound of a of a joint
burning like that is so fucking nostalgic i love that that you guys put
that in it's awesome man well done we always made sure to add like a
lot of sound effects and stuff like that and sorry i just wanted to clarify
one more point um please join the discord in order to be eligible for
the airdrop as well i just quickly pinned um a quote tweet that i have that has
the link in for anybody that is wondering how to be
eligible for it i'll be giving away a bunch on the space
because we love this space and we love apes so
yeah oh there we go if there's any more questions please like i'll i'll be
here to answer anything that anybody needs love it yo i appreciate that big
time you guys heard it here first like usual
um we got about uh 15 or so minutes to go um i want to just go through a few
things um we'll get to pappy's hand in just
one sec i want to reset the room quickly
i also want to go through what happened in the uh ats ecosystem in the last
48 hours um and then give away a thousand dollars which by the way
i already drew the thousand bucks and i can tell you right now the person
that won uh is going to take home the full
thousand just saying so could be who knows could be an
ats holder could be a rota holder could be a great holder
hold it what if they leave uh yeah so they gotta stick around that'd be a good
idea for sure okay it could be uh gorg holder
it could be a quirky holder it could be oh yeah you said or aper union
aper union could be any holder but i can tell you right now
um this person won a thousand bucks guaranteed
i want to say hi to ape mom he didn't say hi to me
yo i wanted to say hi but i understood that you guys were on a tight timeline
and brando had his ass puckered announcing that he put the agenda
together and i needed to like respect that so
uh but hi moon pie yeah yeah for once in my life i
coordinated something then oh my god i can't believe it yeah
i put out i put my hand because i was just gonna request if we could go full
d gen for about 15 minutes but i'll let you do your thing i'll just be quiet and
then can we have at least five minutes of d gen stuff because i have to talk to
them i'm sorry about something no i dude i want to talk about the say
blockchain i want to talk about the pudgy penguins top i want to talk about
uh hirambe hirambe dude dude this is the thing is i
just want to talk about trump 1000x call moon pie you are the biggest
you're the biggest fucking d gen that i've ever laid witness to
and i feel like i'm about to get some serious bags coming in here soon i'm
gonna have to start paying attention to 666 so i can make a million bucks in the
next two years
yo um i uh i also heard that dog with hats going back up or something i don't
know i don't even know what the hell that is
some sort of dog a little too gone looks like a grandma puppy
um but uh shout out to all the meme coiners in the audience
we'll talk about that in a few minutes i want to get into uh
because i told the ats holders we got a lot of them in here always do
ape spaces represent let's go i told them we talked a little bit about the
merge what that is um how you take part that that sort
of thing so first and foremost the reason we did
the merge is because we acquired the handle on twitter grapes
and we've always wanted to be named the great apes um
so it was like a perfect opportunity for us honestly
we also had an old contract um our contract for ats sucked
we put up with it but there's like a lot of functionalities that just aren't
available um and uh as as such there's no burn
function that's one for example but there's also
some gaming stuff we're pursuing later this year and we wanted a better
contract so that's why we wanted to do the merge
um along with combining our other collection rota
into grapes so there's going to be a tiered system there's seven tiers
um yes og's will still retain og value because they're going to be a
higher tier than rota you can assume that but we're going to be
combining the collection um and that's what we started a lot of
money went into deploying this contract um i paid personally 18 times more gas
fees to make sure holders paid as low gas as
possible and just technically speaking the
reason for this is because an erc 721a contract
allows you to batch mint for cheap okay that's the reason why people like it
when they're doing mints however those are in high batches passed
on to transfers so transfer fees go up if you're minting in high batches
so we had two options we could have batch minted the entire collection
in 4444 and people would have paid a ton of money to transfer them out
or we could have minted them one by one two by two three by three
and the best option mathematically was two by two so we literally minted out two
four six eight all the way up to four thousand four hundred and forty four
um and we spent way more gas so that transfers is lower
now how the merge works is if you have an apes together strong nft
it is going to token for token merge with grapes so you go to the website
i'll actually just pin it up real quick because we've had a lot of people asking
questions today you go to the website uh by the way there's
a medium article we put out too that explains all this but
i want to go over it real quick uh holy shit i tweet a lot hold on one
sec here we go okay so you go to the website
merge.atsnft.io.io okay the ui is very friendly there's a
nice little promo video installed as well shout out dino for that one
um but uh you literally connect your wallet
there's an approval function you have to sign it's going to cost you probably
two or three dollars just like you would sign if you were to sell something on
open sea after that there is going to be one
transaction that you sign that will take all of your og
ats and will airdrop you your uh grapes tokens token for token that
means if you own token id number 69 you will receive token id number 69
that is how it works okay um gas fees if we were to do a whole mint
would have costed people 27 to 30 during our audit per token
we got it down to like six bucks a token for
for both the transfer and the airdrop so it's about six dollars and eight
if you're if you're 25 30 gwe which is what gas is at the moment
and that will merge everything over effectively and immediately we did this
for a few reasons first and foremost if we were to airdrop our entire
community we're risking two things first of all
people we think the old collection because they've received their new asset
so they're dumping on people that don't know that we've merged
secondly we're also re-air dropping stolen apes and apes that
are locked in wallets that you know have forgotten seed phrases
to the exact same wallets and so it was time for us to kind of clean up and
so this is um our way to do it for our largest
holders okay the people that have supported us
financially the most there's a lot of people that i love
every holder matters but a six dollar gas fee comparatively to like a 1200 gas
fee for some somebody that has 200 apes is a
huge difference and so we are covering gas fees for every
whale in our project just so you guys know
that's just a perk is what it is and it's just our way of saying thank you
and in the very very rare exception you know
we would cover you know somebody's but i have a question
yes that you bring up the whales um what is
it going to entail to be a whale after the merge
because before it was like a certain amount of rotas a certain amount of ATS
what is it now going to be it'll be tier based
so right now like a lot of people don't know this but
we have a lot of art on the way like it's not just one set of 3d art
we have two sets of 3d art okay the one that i'm rocking on my
profile picture is a low poly 3d that is rigged ready for games
uh potentially ape haven coming in q1 which is a game
and is going to be fun as fuck um but we also have a high poly um 3d
rigged art as well that is coming as well for people that like that style
the more that the high quality uh defined art
and we also have uh pixel art um that is coming as well for all ATS
holders so it's not just a merge of a new contract
you're getting instead of one pfp you're getting four pfp's that all
look the same in just different art forms
that costed literally hundreds of thousands of dollars
so uh we're very excited about that um
i totally forgot your question moon pie what were you asking
goldfish brain um all whales the whales there's yeah
yeah so there's there's seven different tiers so
all the way from like the most yeah so a rota
the most basic rota in our ecosystem would be tier seven
okay a one of one is going to be tier one so there's
there's seven tiers throughout our ecosystem
um and it's going to depend it's going to be on a essentially like a point
system og's are tier four so if uh or sorry og's are tier yeah tier
four so you would need 35 of those just like
previous to qualify i mean what's the score you freaking need to be a whale
then what's the score um it's gonna remain the same literally
50 rotas 35 og's okay so question we were talking
about og's because i'm i'm still a little bit confused by it all but i'm
i know i'll be able to figure it out it's all good but i i have like uh you know i
have a bunch of rotas um how does it come like how does the
merge come in for the rotas because i know you were talking about
oh jesus is the same thing you just go to the website
bada boom bada bing i got you know 50 60 rotas in my wallet
that's it yeah so rota is actually going to be even
more simple uh because oh it hasn't it hasn't happened yet
okay we could turn it on so with our with the original method we were going to
do the merge um it had to be it had to be done after
but uh we can actually turn it on whenever we want i could turn on rota
merge tonight and you could simultaneously
merge the og and the rota collection at the same time so that's actually set
up and has been tested and it works well
the reason we're doing og's first um is because that was the narrative that
we spread for three months until we last because the rota art wasn't ready yet
right wasn't that why i mean there's that there's that too but i mean even if
rota art isn't done uh it wouldn't stop us from just starting
to merge the collection to get everything in one
because and this is actually something i wanted to touch on because
there was some confusion in our community today there's a lot of people
asking like well do i still get my nft like
what do you mean artwork is different from so artwork is an nft in a way however
on the ethereum blockchain artwork is not stored on the blockchain it's stored on
a server so even though we're in pre-reveal
um there were some people thinking that because we have a pre-reveal
in the new artwork their previous ape nft no longer was theirs and they lost
their ip rights and all that stuff that is stored on a server literally if
you go to ape records you can still access if you type in your token number
you can still access your nft so don't worry about the art side that is stored
and is attached through the metadata to your nft
you don't have to worry about that it will eventually show back up on your
nft we did a pre-reveal because we're we're
coming out with artwork that is new that is going to match your previous nft
that is going to increase um the value you're getting from
uh an nft from us so your original artwork stays
both on rota and ats the ip rights are the exact same the terms and conditions
that you would have saw when you minted our collections
uh are the exact same um so you don't need to worry about any of that
uh we're actually just coming out with way more art
um now what i've said in the last like five to ten minutes has been
just og's for now rota will be a focus but
take into account that uh rota minted 11 months after og's
so we do need to um do og's first simply like og's are gonna
have uh their art done first on the basis that they came out
way um way sooner so um lots to come though in the next couple
weeks we're gonna try if we can for everybody's knowledge we are going
to try uh and reveal as soon as we can
we're very picky though that's the thing and i want to just
give every 3d artist in here a quick shout out because
3d art is very different from 2d art like i've done a lot of i've advised on a
lot of collections i've helped with a lot of collections get to market
um and my developer has done a lot of different generative collections
um in regards to the shuffling and the rarities and all that stuff
the layering is very different on 3d so it's one thing to do a 3d collection
from start but if you're trying to replicate an
existing 2d collection and make them 3d and then layer the traits and make them
identical to 2d it is very difficult you have to
um even if you cut them to size there's lots of overlaps there's things that
don't work especially when they're rigged
so it's been a lot of back and forth we've been working on the art for
almost a year now with our partners um and some of the
art that was done uh needed to be refined further so
we're at the process now where all the arts were fine we're just waiting for
renders to be done um and then we can start to work on the
reveal the issue is at the moment is our
developer is having a kid on tuesday it's his first kid there's no way i'm
gonna say you've you know you don't spend time with your
kid your first kid uh for the first two weeks uh you
have to focus on the ape reveal that won't happen you know um and we're
not in a rush dude are you like are you like canadian or something like that's
real slack man yeah i know real slack that's such a
piece of shit move i know but um ultimately if we get the art uh
say tomorrow um we could we could reveal right uh we'd
have time but uh if we get the art this weekend
especially on sunday uh it'll probably have to wait until
um after the uh leaf which is fine though because
pixel art will probably be done by then bunch other stuff will probably be
done by then so it'll be a grand slam reveal it's gonna be a good one so
and i want to focus like i'm gonna tell you right now if you're an hts holder
my focus over the next two weeks is helping people merge
there's a lot of people that are in our ecosystem that
you know that we're they're only mint like i'm looking at like a ton of
wallets uh over the last little while and
it's like um some people like they haven't
minted in a year or two years and they're just confused on what to do so
um i'm gonna be tech support so um you can call me anytime
i will gladly answer the phone and be your tech support agent
um or i'll just hand it off to shots probably
but uh yeah anyway that's gonna be my focus
so what we're gonna do uh first and foremost if you haven't merged go merge
okay we've put a lot of work into this and grapes is gonna be a very fun
collection um so that's that's number one
secondly uh i've picked a thousand dollar winner i'm gonna announce that i'm
actually gonna invite this person up because they're in
the space right now so if you get an invite come on up
we'd love to hear from you um and lastly um
did we reach the pudgy penguins top or no no i'm just kidding
that's been all over my timeline too those things are pumping it's crazy
because i was hosting a space yesterday
and they were like 13 eth and i i said i'm like they're gonna flip
board apes hundred percent like soon you remember
before i went to bed they were over 19 eth i'm like it's happening
this week fuck yo i can literally send a screenshot
of you and i talking and me being you were like uh
or i was like i want a pudgy penguin but i just can't do it i think they were
four eth i was like i can't do it i told you i hate the art i was like i
hate the art now the art's looking pretty fucking good
now and i said buy one yeah i know that was that was everybody
to see we should have just split one i was even thinking about splitting one
yesterday when they were at 13 i was gonna go like have z's with
someone and just you know does the art does the art actually
look better when the floor prices are hundred percent
eight mother can you help me with this one because i feel like i trust you
the most here does the art actually look better when the floor price
is higher yeah have you like you guys realized like
brando doesn't even wear his mutant anymore
and shit so yeah so ugly now you think he understands what i was saying
when i was i think just i think he's just not into pizza as much anymore
dude no no no it's not about the price of the asset okay it's the fact that
i love my own ecosystem and i just want to rep my own intellectual
property that's it had nothing to do with the fact that i
bought that thing for 25 and it's worth three
you know there's no way you know um anyway um
they were a good buy before you made it a penguin when i told you to buy it
four eth and it's about to flip board eight let's talk about trump token
what trump did you know he's actually launching an
ordinal yeah did you see that picture of him
all over his hands nobody can sell them for a year
no that's what he did with his the most recent polygon collection too
like the one that you bought you know how he came he came out with another one
like season two and you can't trade him for a year
brando were you advising on those ones advising
on donald trump's nft
dude i'd be like fucking glad to do that honestly
bro i figured i figured you would be i'd be like listen
everyone i'm canadian i'm staying out of the politics side of things okay
leave that shit at the door i'm here because these are digital collectibles
okay they have different rarities they're on the blockchain let me
explain how that works yes i've been thinking of has buo lately
he picked polygon i know that was a terrible choice
actually i don't pay attention to like any of the news i've been like
a little bit of the palestine stuff lately but but the last picture i
actually saw of donald trump was with his hand up
and it was today and he had a bunch of like scabies all over his hands or like
syphilis or something and i was like is this the newest collection coming out
because this one is going to mend out
sorry are we there yeah when are pixel trumps coming out
those would fucking sell like crazy man that's the next nakamigos
pixel trumps no there was that there was the um
what were those oh my god stop i minted them
hold on they were naka um the cards just came out yesterday
no no no no hold on naka the cards just came out yesterday
naka they were like naka trumps i got those
you know so is anybody in so first and foremost
somebody that won a thousand dollars just came up and i just want to say hello
um because he's a holder of ours um and uh he recently i believe bought
that og uh he did actually um so i want to say what up to david
i want to congratulate david i don't think we've talked on spaces but i
could be wrong uh but we've talked in dms and i just
want to say congrats what's going on
you have to unmute david bottom left
okay got it can you everybody can you hear me
yeah we can hear you a little muffled but you're good
okay okay my uh sorry my English is not is not
perfect my my uh native language is spanish
but i just want to say thank you to to brando and all
all the co-hosts uh projects here in this space i really
appreciate it i uh i don't know when what i can say
right now i'm so nervous the first person actually
the second time speaking on the space but i uh i really appreciate it
really appreciate it and ats is one of the best projects
and i gonna keep trying to buy uh more nfts and and and more and more
graves and you know i appreciate that thank you so much david
um if you want to send me your uh eath address i'm going to get that over to
you before we shut down the space and post this hash so everybody knows
um everything's good um i also want to remind everybody you can raid
uh the top uh alico is picking a few winners
of an airdrop to the stoners uh solana uh project so check that out
uh great community over there for sure as well um
i do want to just quickly they were maga they were maga meegos like make america
oh my god that laugh is crazy yeah that was a that was a wild love that
maga oh man smoker laugh i thought david was going to come up and
be like a thousand dollars uh hookers and blow sponsored by
ats thank you ats i was waiting for that maga
that is pretty funny i'd actually buy one of those and just hold it even though
one to zero that for sure is going to zero but
uh it is it is pretty funny um that's a tax right are you converting
are you converting brando to soul yet are you you still you're still east
uh all the way you know what i think and this
the shout out to the stoners community but i do think uh
stoners might be my first uh solana nft i've um so i'll say this
i've been i've been really interested in the say blockchain
um i think there's a lot of like i like to be early to stuff
personally and i think that's a very early blockchain to be a part of at
the moment and there is a lot of really cool
communities you can be a part of moon pie is laughing but i'm bullish on that
i mean it's true i mean soul is only two years old
right when you compare early if you want to talk about really compare to east
in my opinion but hey i mean everybody i mean you're really early to
sight you're really fucking really here guys that's for sure bro
yeah it's um the thing is is like i wanted to be early to the
the initial nfts um so i'm not talking
necessarily the chain uh more of like the nfts
the more popular
i do know uh pretty hype project that minted recently and i know they're all
over my timeline uh i don't know what's this like
undead thing what's going on there who has insight on that project
i have no idea honestly crypto undeads or something i've seen it everywhere
i've seen it everywhere but i mean it's like
it was uh the same supposedly it's the same team that had connections to another
project they tried and i have no idea bro honestly and
people over hyped it in my opinion i don't
fucking know bro i'm not going to say shit i don't like talk shit by any
project you know i don't like that i think every
project that really diligently tries to push and make
something i think that is important your intentions
are the most important thing in this space
yeah 100 i think um they were taught sorry i gotta let my dogs out
very if it's rattling um i think they were talking about
they had some founder of like crypto punks endorsing or
approving the project or something like that and then
i think they were just their go to market was quite fancy
and they had a lot of really good collabs probably some somebody internal
that decided to collab i mean it helped that it was a free
mint or whatever or no it wasn't a free mint people had to
mint that shit didn't they
i keep seeing their way in the box or some shit
yeah they had to pay for the for the man for sure i'm pretty sure
i give it for those of a lot of the ones that reveal after
they meant like i got into a couple that did that like
moonbirds and some other shit like it just did the same shit like they dump
they dump after they reveal and then they try to catch the hype afterwards
people try to get blue i have no idea man i had no idea i didn't like the
backgrounds were all the same like that was something some people said they
liked i didn't like it personally how all the
backgrounds were the same color yeah
here's the thing so i think college and alpha i've been calling this alpha for
the longest time and this is literally crazy i realized the
other day okay meme land i know some people are
gonna be like shut up meme land okay i minted meme land for
i was like 9k into the ecosystem i sold my initial batch of meme coin for
27 000 okay i tripled up on that um and i still
hold all the assets i still hold most of the coins right
that are not unlocked yet but i realized meme has almost a million
holders one million holders okay put this in
perspective ape coin has 145 000 approximately 143 000
holders meme coin has a million holders
what the fuck happened a million people have meme coin
how many people have pepe that's um that is a lot of holders like that is
huge it is uh-huh it is like that's easily the
biggest meme point out there for an nft project easily
in terms of holders and exposure
yeah 100 are you um i mean yeah i claim it clayna stores though bro
clayna stores holy fuck that's like one of the biggest
i think that's like what got to be one of the biggest nft projects i've seen
um soul anyways in comparison on what they've been building
pretty pretty badass like every video they drop they get at least like
20 30 000 views
yeah what is clayna stores i see them around often um
and i was looking the last time i looked at magic eden which i'm
i'm pretty bullish on magic eden by the way because i know they're coming out
with east soon and they're really trying to enforce like
with yuga yeah partnership with yuga right i mean
clay clayna stores reminds me of uh pudgy penguins type of type you know type of
marketing like i think that's the future of nfts is like something family
friendly that can really be like used anywhere like really you can
stick them in walmart kids can look at it and be like oh i like this you know
hard to do with a lot of different a lot of these nfts but
something like pudgy penguins something like plano sores
you know those are fucking fluid chips well here's here's the thing right a lot
of these projects they did like a reverse funnel approach is what they call it
where it's like they spread the shit out of the ip to make the ip like common
right and then they slowly start to integrate people's like knowledge of
the brand into the fact that they started from
digital collectibles the nfts um and that's
that's exactly what luka did right you look at pudgy penguins and they get
into walmart but like you search a lot of different like
memes or quotes on like any sort of gif directory and you're
gonna find a fucking pudgy penguin like 99% of the time those things are
everywhere right so people can look at those things and be like yeah i know
exactly what that is i can't tell you the name of it but i know what that is
and all of a sudden you get the super fans right you get the people that are
buying toys and they find out that oh shit they have digital collectibles how
do i get one of those and collectibles man i'm telling you
like there's nfts right is a form of a collectible but the
collectibles market in general you look at hockey cards you look at pokemon cards
people spend big money like a board ape yacht club four or even
a pudgy penguin floor is nothing comparatively to some of these like
cards that are tangible out there that people can actually buy and hold
in physical items and people just don't understand that about nfts yet
so it's interesting for sure and i agree with their approach and i think they've
done really well so it's uh it's good to see here it's
really good to see are you uh you you want some coin alpha real quick
before i i have to get out here in a second but you want some coin alpha
before i get out can we talk about can we talk about some
absolute fecal matter on salona that's what i was about to talk about
i knew it sure is this is the coin that you were invested in
fecal matter in a pile
hell yeah are you invested in this coin okay yes i'm invested but you know if i
wasn't the i obviously i'm gonna be offering
the alpha i mean look here here at the end of the day i i have
things that i own like 30 40 percent of like i'm fucking like
shitters that would get rich if everybody jumped in but like
this is something i own very small portion of
but i wish i owned more obviously but i think it's a movement and it's
like it's just there hasn't been anything kind of like this i've seen
in the space in a minute um and it was mentioned here
for a second but no one no one touched on it i don't know hirambe i don't know
if you heard it but like bro oh shit moon pie's all over that shit
she knows everything about hirambe i'm telling you
there is some connections there i'm telling you guys do i'm just saying like
you've tried to look for a dip if you can if there
is going to be a dip like and try to get any like a dollar i don't care five bucks
something what's american cap what's american cap right now is it under 50
mill yes 4.5 no oh it's fucking real love okay
yeah that's why i said absolute that is absolute fecal salona go for it
hirambe you gotta pull your dicks out i think hiram is in this space actually
let me see for hirambe i'm being teased in my like dms because
i'm all over hirambe and now i'm hosting ape spaces and so i'm just full on ape
now but um you're pumping you're pumping your
bags right now hirambe it's year the ape bro it's year the ape
sure is i'm excited hirambe okay i'll check it out brando loves hirambe
i do i mean he was given an unfair he he died for arsons i mean he died
unfairly he died for arsons and then the dev died so hirambe could live on
salona you know you know those are good things
in life you know those little things in life that like just make you smile and
you're just like oh that was a sweet moment you know when you go to like uh
open sea sometimes you see like a like a like a
collection of like original photographs and their nfts of hirambe
and every time i see them on open sea their volume sucks
and their floor is okay and it's very limited collection
and they only sell once in a while but every time i see them trending i'm just
like oh that's cute throw a little smile up and be
happy for the day
dicks out dicks out for hirambe everybody dicks out
i'm working right now it's going to be all over your guys's timelines
i think it's amazing i think it's amazing because
now because everybody's taking their dicks out for hirambe
i'm just normal
yeah it'd be weird if you didn't have your dick out like where's my dick
so he's out that's what i'm trying to say
yeah that's that's true you know we can make so much noise i'd love to see
people make some art with everybody pulling their dick out around hirambe
just around him well that's not weird i don't see that being made i'm telling
you it's gonna happen and that's like a web green circle
jerk that's kind of crazy well he did it with the cabal now we're
gonna make the hirambe cabal so
that is speaking of there is there is a hirambe cabal chat
actually you want in brando i'll i'll stay i'll stay away from that
one but i appreciate the mx second up moon by
second up for fecal matter on salona what's the next thousand x
let's go hirambe hirambe is the next second
it's hirambe jr it's all about
hirambe there's an ass mommy token there should be an ass poppy token
oh my god all right i just threw i just threw a hundred
ethan to this hirambe coin you guys i'm so glad this is recorded though just
because like if i do lose my money this has just obviously been financial advice
so i'm just i'm really grateful for guys
it was on salona motherfucker so i know you didn't do it because you're not a
hundred ethan you guys can we can we reflect on what
can we reflect on what eight mothers have said and launch this shit together
all as a community you'd have to be the face because there's
only one true poppy wait eight eight mother i'll be the
face i'll be the face of ass pappy coin
dude send i think yeah i know what we should do
i know we should do we should launch a hato we should launch it
oh yeah we should launch a haters coin we should pick one person from the
community each month and just pump the fuck out of the coin
that'd be awesome hey that's a good idea
and like one person that like right there like one person that like we don't
like in the community we just like just shit on the coin you know
nah i'm just kidding dude can i can i ask a favorite really
really bro can you spit some fucking straight up poetry for us bro about what
we're talking about because that always cheers my heart up firstly
and then secondly there is a full fucking eclipse coming up
in my area in the next couple months and we talked about this in vegas
and that shit is literally going to be fully visible from
like an hour from my house everybody is welcome to come we can have a big old
party for the eclipse come to canada come to the east coast of canada i know
you guys have never heard of the east coast of canada or atlanta
canada before i die there's actually four provinces after
quebec but come for the eclipse slash ruey let's split some fucking poetry
for us bro we love it i don't have a new poetry bro
and chat gpt bro just put in the fucking topic
ruey is your dick out
she's gonna verify you guys gotta feel the noise because i'm making it i thought
you got you got to save that for the dm's uh what
moonpike getting all the dick pics and the dm's you know what that's
that's what's going to happen when you're trying to pump uh harambe
yo moonpike tomorrow can you can you put out a gm that says it'll pump hard
though because of moonpike what do i have to say tomorrow i'm just
wondering can you put out a uh a gm tomorrow
you know i i'm just add the picture of harambe to it
just a picture of yourself just with harambe's face
harambe's body with your face we actually got sorry about the tapping i'm
making a smoothie right now but we got harambe up on the stage everyone
harambe oh no we don't shit whoops
sorry about that what kind of smoothie are you making
it's the fucking cocaine
cocaine on fire in my cities
i put peanut butter on my smoothie
cocaine doesn't even exist in canada um okay so
peanut butter
cocaine bro
oh cocaine no not that
oh i just get back from columbia and you know how many conversations i fucking had
randomly just walking down the street i'm trying to get harambe up here papa i
need you to close come in okay so check this out check this
out i actually um when i was in columbia i walked
walked in the street like quite often you know i was in columbia and uh you
know how casual people just like walk up to you be like hey do you want some
cocaine and i i don't do drugs and but i would
have conversations for like five minutes or ten minutes with these guys
that were trying to sell me cocaine i'd be like show me your cocaine
show me your pictures where does it come from and i'd be like what gets you
into this they actually have legitimate
conversations with them and the whole time they thought like maybe they were
able to sell me some cocaine and uh but i would just be having like
actually friendly conversations and then by the end of it i'd be like actually
i don't i don't really do drugs and then they just like
turn and walk away i'd be like i thought we were becoming friends
it was good times columbia i try not to talk to myself but
yeah that's that's another story these guys are pretty these guys are pretty
casual and it's like literally in carthahana at that and the northern coast
of columbia every second person you see that's a local is either a
prostitute or someone trying to sell you cocaine so
it's it's it's pretty casual there
is that my my friend lives in columbia and he said
coke is for poor people there yeah i mean i don't know i think it's
all me but
is that a rhombi can you guys back on the deal
oh rhombi jesus christ
rhombi do you know how many dicks are currently out of their pants for you
god i have those in my last both of my dicks are out
why are you like are you doing buckets over there like
your laughs have been out of this world like
it's just i'm so grateful for dijon our here guys
