international it's my evening time as well actually but i assume most of our audiences
it's their mornings i said gm okay great yeah how are you doing today doing pretty fine um i'm based
in dubai again it's my evening time 6 pm um so i'm very happy to to meet you today uh and have the
opportunity to talk about reward asset tokenization and rwa finance so yeah very excited and um happy
to answer any questions that you guys have yeah for sure um so uh wait i think i have a bit echo
can you guys hear me like properly um uh nice and clear from my side okay good okay so um let's get
started so we have another exciting ama today my name is shin and i'm the community manager at the
arbitrand foundation um today we're very happy to have hakan did i pronounce that right that's
that's right hakan okay we're very happy to have hakan the cmo of rwa finance joining us today for
the ama so hakan why don't we start with a short introduction first could you tell us a bit more
about yourself yeah absolutely um again good morning good afternoon good evening everyone
wherever you're located um so again it's an international community uh here in uh that
visit overall that three space and uh also arbitrand do have uh also an international
community so i believe you're quite distributed all around the world so my name is hakan and
i've been in the space uh for the last uh six years a little over six years i have co-founded
a few dows dot platforms and um a few blockchains on the side of more like marketing and
operation and uh together with other uh friends and colleagues we're building a platform called
real rwa finance which focuses on the tokenization of reward assets and providing uh different
financial service which we're going to get into details in the coming minutes um so yeah i'm based
in dubai um i believe you um you heard that it's it's the heart of rep3 most of the uh well-known
companies and rep3 projects platforms are based in here um we are happy to meet here today
thank you for the intro hakan so um i know the project actually went through a rebranding
i went from i believe bg trade to rwa finance is that correct
that's that's correct yeah congrats um so could you tell us a bit more about this rebranding why
you guys think it was necessary and what maybe are there like new product that came along with it
sure as we all know the uh the rep3 space is is developing very fast and it's really hard to
catch up with its speed so it always requires uh optimization and and you know um so the demand
from the market side uh is also changing every time and we need to be uh complying with it right
so the basically that the brand uh refresh i would say symbolizes more than just a new name
uh it was it used to it used to be bg trade but now we rebranded ourself as rwa finance
um it basically represents a refined vision and expanded array of services that leverage
uh the power of blockchain technology to provide secure um i would say transparent efficient well
you know financial solutions so by incorporating uh different financial services i would say maybe
i can count a few of them like swap uh function staking lending and borrowing um yield farming
and there are many other coming uh soon uh into into the platform so basically rwa is addressing
a broad spectrum of financial activities that somehow uh catcher to both uh novice and
experienced participants in a defined ecosystem um if you basically get into engage in those those
functions um so you will uh you will see it i highly suggest you guys to go to rwafinance.com

your feedbacks so basically addition of more functions and optimization of our product lineup
so suggesting us a deep commitment to the user experience and accessibility because we've got
some feedbacks previously we always do that we do have a lot of AMA sessions and space sessions
where we meet with the community members we get them actively ask for them for their feedbacks
so this is how it happened and we optimized we added up more things that they need
as well as the the market itself the space itself so we're happy to yeah rebrand ourself
so basically i believe such improvements are really crucial in the in the defined space
where usability and security are uh prominence right are basically i would say even per month
so um and our extended vision uh is suggesting all this so rebranding to reward rwa finance
is reflecting our forward thinking approach to defy um aiming to build more inclusive and
efficient way of financial ecosystem so that's all i can say for the rebranding site thank you
that that's a very clear like introduction though so really appreciate that but um
how come wondering if you can tell us a bit more about the asset tokenization with rwa finance
for those who are not familiar with uh rwa concept itself i would love to not maybe get
into detail but just give um superficial information uh because it's all about learning
right um and it itself is a new concept uh and you know from those people that have contacted
that i know they're you know most of the people still are not uh familiar with the uh with rwa
concept so let me give some basic information so what we call our real world assets are the
assets that have value in the real world basically it could be any properties like real estate
properties um maybe it could be your car even stocks bones commodities which have value in the
real world are actually called reward assets so what we do is we tokenize those assets we present
the users uh we give them opportunity to uh kind of buy and trade the assets the underlying assets
in the form of tokens why do we do this because we solve a few um um how to say uh really important
problems like uh basically you know as as a person who is not from the u.s let's say if i want to
invest in any assets in the u.s i'm basically blocked out i'm not able to do this so the same
things actually for most of the people uh are all people that are not that are non-us citizens
right if you're giving just an example of us nastag or neoc exchange so by tokenizing it you are
uh giving opportunities the whole world basically eight billion people
to participate in this uh able to buy and sell the underlying assets but in current situation
brokercies um and you know the law is what is preventing us to uh do that so this is something
some of the problem that we we solve transparency is another thing security is another value that
we add by tokenizing the asset so we as rwa finance uh beside tokenizing uh the uh the
underlying asset which is the main focus for now uh is the stocks uh tokenization of stocks
we also do uh present financial services i mentioned earlier swap uh yield farming uh
lending and borrowing uh very similar to maker dao um and some of the functions have been like
almost uh like very similar so um i'm highly suggesting you guys to get family with the
the functions uh again it it just takes a few minutes uh to experience it um and we already
tokenized our platform tokens as our basic our platform tokens represent a real world assets
that are valid in the real world which is stocks uh which are listed on hong kong exchange basically
each uh uh token that you buy on the platform it represents something in the real world that's
why it has value so yeah that's that's all from from my side nice nice but um another question
for you how come so i'm sure there's like a lot of maybe other project that are doing similar
things what would you say it's uh what makes rwa finance stand out from the rest of its competitor
oh sorry i think i was muted was that i got your question i heard your question so thank
yeah it's a good question so um what i would say is what we do is um we combine reward asset
tokenization with financial different financial service we integrated a lot of um i would say
breakthrough technologies into our platform where we present uh what i call all-in-one package so
when you compare our platform which is a financial service provider platform
with any others let's say ponger flop a maker dao i would say any other swap like curve finance
uh so we integrated zk technology zero knowledge proof basically zk did technology through which
you can verify your id identity uh on on chain as one thing the second thing is uh tokenization
itself the token that you buy the assets you buy is something from the real world that's the main
difference and um the third thing is basically let's say you are holding rwa as token right
so um what i say to present something in a real world it represents stock right the uh the token
holder if they want to exchange their token for uh the the asset itself which is stocks in this
case they will be able to do this that's the first ever platform doing so that's uh there's
something really important that's why i just want to underline and repeat again so we're the only
platform where you can um basically uh the um by just holding this token you'll be able to
uh get back your assets uh within like literally seconds by verifying your identity through zk
did technology so this is again something new zk did uh zero knowledge decentralized identifiers
that's the that's uh in short what we call zk did so i really highly suggesting people everyone
all listeners here in the space to um research uh because it's really bringing a lot of value
and what we believe will be the future oh that's very cool um can you guys hear me i'm not sure if
my mic is working properly yeah that's actually i don't i don't have any difficulties in hearing
oh okay good um that's really cool i didn't i didn't know that you guys are rw finance is the
first platform that offers such service um i'm curious though when when building such product
is there any particular pain point that uh the team is trying to solve within the device space though
absolutely there are a lot of challenges so um you may have an idea um to build something to start
with right in order to start a project a platform you need to you're coming first with an idea which
you think is worth uh doing and building and that's the first thing so and you need to make
sure there's no one else is uh doing the same thing because if it already has been done then
there's no value that you bring to the space by building it and it's it's going to be very
competitive uh you need to uh fight to get the same place as someone else that you're not bringing
any value any breakthrough that's the first thing if you're sure that the idea that you have is
something unique uh that no one has ever done then you just start to build it another thing
as a team uh you need to make sure this every member of your team has enough experience to build
so because you're fighting against time you know the space um you know in a traditional sense
maybe six months a year is very short time but when it comes to web3 space uh even one month is
is a huge time i mean uh you may miss out a lot of opportunities during that time so you need to
make sure that your team is able to handle all those challenges and the third thing is uh you
know integrating those uh breakthrough technologies uh in our case zkdid is one thing and another thing
is uh combining rwa assets with traditional financial services giving basically accessibility
to the users all around the world located all around the world so all in one package is really
hard to achieve but i believe we already uh have achieved most of it and uh we're working hard to
uh you know to satisfy all the demand that you know coming from the user side
that's nice to see um all the progress that the team has done though and how can you you've
mentioned earlier about uh rwa finance also focuses a lot on community engagement um can
you maybe tell us a bit more about how rwa finance foster community engagement and collaboration
within the d5 space sure you're talking about the community engagement and collaboration so
i think community is what i believe is the core and the main pillar of um any any projects any
platform so when you look at arbitrum um it uh already proved itself right but what made arbitrum
arbitrum is actually the community i would say yes technology the team is one thing but without
community it wouldn't achieve and i think arbitrum is one of the best examples we can see and we can
give so again you're part of the team and um just congratulations uh you guys are doing pretty well
and um we are trying to do the same thing so we as rwa finance platform we are um working really hard
to uh bring value to the each user who believe in us who invest in us who uses us right so basically
uh without anyone using your platform buying your token uh you know supporting you in any way they
can uh so basically you have no value your platform is nothing basically nothing so that's why
as a team who really understands and aware of the value and importance of the of the community
and the relevant engagement you say um we are really working hard to satisfy uh you know um
our users because they give us feedbacks uh we just you know uh solve the problem that they face
we give them more opportunities to make money right and get even some tasks through which
they can get rewards um when it comes to engagement again we do hold a lot of events
ama session twitter space is just like the one we do now uh we do online meetings online meetups
we are very active in dubai in uh korea turkey um singapore hong kong basically we are quite
international international team and community so uh we believe by um making our each of our
um team member community member excited for project and uh so we can achieve all those targets
that i've mentioned at the very beginning so it's all about again community uh and and the
technology you have together with the team so we believe it's the main pillar
yeah for sure i agree communities are definitely very important um which also brings me to my next
question is that uh so when we talk about community we can overlook governance right so
how does the rwa finance uh i know you guys have this ve governance structure how does this help
the community in contributing to the decision-making process and what are the mechanism that you guys
have in place to ensure there's a decentralized governance structure
can you hear me now yeah okay i was sorry so um that's another good question so um you said
ve governance ve governance is also um one of the most prominent features of our platform
in terms of managing the uh i mean being transparent managing the the governance
because the um we're we're a decentralized platform at the end of the day we want to achieve
to become basically let me talk about our our target one of our main targets is to become
the largest uh basically the largest rwa platform we're the largest community and become the largest
dao decentralized autonomous organization so to achieve this we need to have a very
well-working mechanism uh you know governance mechanism so we having had a really deep research
months long and as a founder of a dao platform and also a member of i would say even
tens of different daos i'm very well aware of how they work and the challenges that they face
and the value that it could bring to our platform as a decentralized platform so we have found out
that ve governance is now currently the healthiest way of governing and managing the community and
making decision and directing the the platform to the right basically leading the platform to
the right direction so what ve gives what value it brings i think that point is really important
by locking i would say those um uh committee members from uniswap i i think they could
understand uh even in a better way so um i'm not sure if you have recently heard about a news which
just pumped the uniswap token price uh almost like double um though it has a valuation of a
few billion dollars so what was the news about it was about the sharing the platform uh income with
the users with with the token holders so it's basically similar logic because they're all the
all the curve finance uh are uh i would say panik swap balancer and many other well-known
d5 projects platforms are using ve governance model so it's already working and it's already
proved itself uh the what what committee members do is actually they do lock their tokens for a
while for one year for six months to four years whatever it did the length the longer you hold
basically the more ve token you have by this way you will have more power to decide the future of
the platform um let's say you uh stake your platform token and then in in the same amount
you get ve token but it actually has something to do with the amount of uh the length that you
actually lock your token so by this way you increase so you decrease the uh the pressure
of of cell pressure in terms of the token price uh you know uh health and the second thing is
you um how to say you facilitate users to participate and you incentivize them because
as long as they participate they vote for the proposal they create proposal they actively
participate in it they will earn uh they will earn more rewards they will make money over it
so basically you're incentivizing the users to lock their tokens for a while and and hold ve
uh token so that's uh one of one of the the main values again as long as they they participate in
those decision-making processes they propose their offers to the community uh they're going
to basically earn more tokens um that that is part of part of um our rewarding system that we
have in in the governance and so far we have uh exceeded 80 percent uh in terms of the
participation in the in the community that means 80 percent of the community members they willingly
uh voluntarily basically lock their token for a year two years and four years just to be part
of this platform for long years so that thing that's also one of the achievements we had
um Hakan did you get cut off at the end or were you done already um i'm done if you heard my
last sentence it's about opportunity at the end right that was your last sentence right
i i i've just said um this is just one of the uh achievements that we had recently uh but you
know making the community believe in our platform's future and look to basically participate in video
governance because they're actively um we're into incentivizing the community members to participate
in governance by this way we're going to have a healthy platform healthy token and so on that's
what i said at the end nice nice yeah i think that was a really good explanation of the vee
governance thank you for that Hakan and last but last but not least uh maybe can you provide us
some insight into the romance romance of rwa finance absolutely so um again those those are
the the few functions that we have um launched so far swap um vee governance and zk did so
basically in the coming months we're we're really working 24 seven literally with the with the tech
team to achieve all this targets because bull run is already very close we can i believe uh
everyone was already feeling it when you look at the uh the green candles we have every day it's
not only the price in terms of price but when you look at the uh the new users uh new uh i would say
people traditional people joining in this space joining us and here in the crypto space
they're uh it's very clear the direction it's very clear this uh we the the space is improving
and they're very close to the next bull run so we have to keep up with the speed of the uh they
they they've had three um i would say development so what we do as a team is now we're working hard
on to launch a few other futures such as lending protocols integrating different um evm uh block
chains uh we're integrating again uh with more wallets partnering with different uh platforms
and uh projects by this way we mutually benefit from one another's uh advantages so we invite
their community to join us and we do the same um so mutual benefits um so another thing is uh
we're uh gonna soon uh basically launch uh staking as well as the uh yield farming functions
through which we're going to give opportunities for users to stake their token uh yield farm
their token and make money over it so again um you can consider it as a as a bank but in a
decentralized way that's what we want to achieve at the end of the day so um integrating you know
the main part we are focusing is definitely rwa um and integrating different technologies
in a decentralized way where the ownership belongs to the users again we're just a platform providing
the the services um so the ownership uh belongs to the user itself so just tune up you know um
