uh they'll yeah so if they don't pay the 360 right within the 360 days right then they get
liquidated is that correct uh yeah basically for for some unfortunate uh events uh which
happens rarely like you forget to repay in time uh you know we always warn borrowers against that
you know stay vigilant just check it from time to time but um we also have uh push notifications
through push so this will also this means you can uh just sign up for it through a different d app
and uh if the loan gets close to the repayment date you will get a like span with notification like
hey go and repay so we want to make sure that doesn't happen to you yeah yeah um and i wanted
to ask um specifically for arbitrum how does uh like a project or a community um go in and
create a loan for their nft project how does that work
uh sure do you mean as an nft project or just yeah yeah like an nft project in arbitrum let's say they
want to use pine protocol um how would that work yeah so in that case uh they would be uh officially
seen as a the lender side so if we merely facilitate the protocol between the borrower and the lender
so and as an nft project you basically uh let's say i'm an nft project i'll go to pine
i go to the landing page uh and there i just create a pool against on my own uh nft project
and uh you don't even have to uh deposit liquidity you just uh allow uh whatever amount you uh allow
to be withdrawn for loans and you can even set up a maximum so let's say uh i have 10 eph in my wallet
but you know i i don't feel safe uh exposing the entire 10 eph i just want to expose two eph or five
eph just you know to test the waters then uh that's possible you just set up that amount i want to expose
five eph and then once you publish that pool uh anyone that is interested in getting out alone using their
uh nft they can uh start borrowing it's like takes literally uh under a minute to set up it's really
fast yeah that's cool that's really cool um and yeah so yeah i see it right now on the website there
are multiple steps to doing that um so one would be like choosing a collection to provide liquidity to
oh but this is on the user end right uh yeah so on the lender side you you can even choose uh any nft
project you want so it doesn't have to be your own run of your project uh as long as it exists like on
openc and uh we make sure to highlight the ones that are safe like verified collections um you can
choose any collection say okay uh i wanna you know possibly obtain hope maybe that the borrower
is gonna forfeit on their loan or i just want to set up a high yield because i think this nft project
is going to be popular so i'm gonna set up you know a nice interest rate for myself i'm gonna earn
you know i don't want to earn just five percent on ethereum staking i want to earn twenty percent
uh youth so you just go there set it up to twenty percent it's all up to you as a lender for any
project that you want right yeah and yeah i see that most uh projects that are utilizing prime are
from avalanche of polygon which makes sense right um so like how do you guys do you guys have a plan to
you know get more communities involved um especially you know on the nft side on the arbitrum um do you
guys have a plan for that in terms of initiatives for communities to get involved um within the pine
ecosystem yeah i'll give a short intro and then uh i think alex can take this one but uh yeah me as a
community manager you can imagine i'm uh i'm just lurking in all types of nft projects and discord like
discord's my uh my cave i love being there and if anyone ever has a question or just want to chat
i'm in there uh but yeah i'm basically uh going into different uh t projects you know just uh talking
with communities uh and uh once in a while buying nft uh just you know out of excitement and um yeah
that way i also test the words like hey guys what do you think about you know you see anything
missing do you see the need for uh you know uh being able to borrow instant liquidity how do you
guys feel about what are your concerns you know i love uh answering those questions and it's also good
feedback for us you know to see what the communities are thinking uh without us you know coming in saying
hey uh we're pine and uh you know come to us like it's all it's always great to just be there as uh as
an nft enthusiast myself as well so yeah it looks please feel free to elaborate more
yeah um i mean to to elaborate more uh on uh the initiatives to uh get uh arbitram nft projects on board
um pine dial is always uh available and ready to seed liquidity into uh landing pools uh for nfts because
we are such big nft lovers ourselves so um any arbitram projects who would like to set up their landing
pools and tested waters uh will help in both ways i mean technically
and financially so um yeah i guess um i hope that will uh encourage more arbitram nft projects
to come and test out how pine protocol can help them secure the community
cool yeah uh yeah i feel like there's definitely ways that
um the arbitram community or even progress could get involved um within pine protocol
um and i guess talking about the future now um since you guys are on arbitram
um do you guys have any plans to you know like have any events for the community
um with the pine protocol or do you guys have anything exciting coming up soon like on the technical side or
yeah yeah yeah so um we're actually looking to like land on arbitram first and build our home base
at the arbitram gain the community here and then we will launch uh pine 2.0 so what about pine 2.0 i mean
looking back on the previous cycle i find it quite fun to have all those monkey jpegs driving the
crypto narrative especially in this cycle what's driving the narrative is all those hard to understand deep
tech tech and ai so when even bayc's need to upgrade their gaming capabilities to become sustainable as a
nft based protocol we must also upgrade our capabilities and utilities so that uh our community will stick with
us and we have that lindy effect keep going on to make our platform uh stay here forever so um pine
will be launching version 2.0 targeting end of q1 2024 um in 2.0 there will be completely overhauled ux
super clean sleek usable and scalable there will be more loan types to support assets from real world or
from digital world that might not have pricing data readily available on chain and uh will also have
crowdfunding features for high ticket loans so say some institutional borrowers they brought in some super
cool um maybe uh 10 ferraris from their garage so um on-chain yield hunters arbinauts can um fund the loan for
them to buy bitcoins and giga pump maybe something like this i don't know what capabilities we can bring with
pine 2.0 because um we're still exploring and uh expecting a lot of fun from pine 2.0 and uh regarding pine token uh
we'll also give it more utilities and um upgrade uh the contract so that it will fit more into the uh current
products as for the nft technology adoption i believe the future of nft technology will be uh beyond pfps and
digital assets um i think they will be used to represent uh ownership of all kinds of assets that's why
we're building pine 2.0 to ensure the scalability meets the immense uh kind of opportunities that could
exist on nft technology and uh what i'm saying is not uh completely like knowful because it has been used
that that ways in pfps like the aic's too the nfts that you guys are holding it's actually pointing to
a legal contract that contains the title to the monkey jpeg so i don't see why it can't be pointed to a
watch a car ms and lv handbags or even another loan like you can tokenize another loan and fund that
borrower so um the fully upgraded version of pine 2.0 is really exciting for us because the opportunities
that will be on pine 2.0 is just limitless yeah no i'm really excited about more real world assets
uh coming over to arbitrum i i think there's definitely an opportunity for that there you know
since we have uh perpetuals dexes uh you have other types of defi protocols lending and borrowing right
so i i think in 2024 i think um the real world asset um should grow on arbitram it'd be interesting to see
more of those products coming over um and yeah i think there's definitely opportunity for that here
uh within the arbitrum ecosystem and i'm sure the community is really excited about that so
yeah i think what you guys are doing uh definitely aligns with uh the arbitrum ecosystem so um it's
exciting to have you guys within the arbitrum community if you if you get lucky one super lucky call
on uh gmx for example you earned a million dollars on gmx lend money to a ferrari owner what's the worst can
come you drive the ferrari don't lose your money on on on shit coins
yeah uh but um yeah i think we've covered everything
