Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Welcome, guys.
I don't know what is going on with this app right now, but we'll figure it out.
And thank you for joining us for another Artsy Friday.
Let everybody get trickled in here because we have a new link that we need to share and we get started in just a moment.
Thanks for being here. All right.
Thank you for being here, Lex.
Thank you for being here, Jack, Malicious Sheep, MB, Randall, Tezos, and Calendar.
Our guest today is LM Designs, who should be here any moment. I had to send her a new link, but we'll get things fired up here in just a moment.
We're going to be discontinuing the opening and closing with music just because it's just not giving the quality representation that
it should. And that's not Kryptonio's fault. It's the app's fault for not doing things normally.
But we will continue doing the gym thread every week as well, and we'll pin that to the top.
And I'm going to try to start getting more creative on
how to showcase music during the spaces as well um it looks like we are going to be a little bit
delayed i'm still not seeing lm but i see her posting so she might even be here and i'm just
not seeing her you know how x spaces are uh but we'll get things fired up here in just a moment
uh and i'm sorry i'm sounding so thrown off that really really frustrated me how difficult it was
just to start the space well you know how it goes uh hard start but it's gonna be a great space i'm
sure man so i appreciate it yeah uh apparently the first space was glitched, totally glitched, so we had to restart it.
But yeah, we'll be fine, we'll be fine.
I'm already sharing the new link.
There is LM design, so I think we will be just fine.
That makes me happy to see LM here.
Again, sorry for the confusion on the first space rugging on us.
We'll get you up here to speak.
And just while things are getting started and now that we have everybody here,
I'm going to say welcome to another Artsy Friday.
We do this every Friday featuring a different artist in the Tezos community
going into a deep dive to discuss anything and everything that they want
about their art, their process, their workflow, what they've got,
what they're about to drop, story time, anything.
So you guys remember to continue sharing these spaces so that we can continue expanding
the spotlight on these artists as we have them come up to the stage and share their
New article just went out this week, part of the capital ART article of the month initiative,
but slightly different this week.
Frankly, there were not enough nominations, so I decided to do a special holiday feature.
But I do want to nag you guys.
Please go nominate more artists for the article of the month.
All you have to do is hashtag Tez article and they will get added to the list and spotlighted.
And I try to put really heartfelt energy into actually diving in and finding artwork
to spotlight in long format.
I'm going to read a little bit of this last article just to give some extra flowers to
the artists that were featured.
And Kryptonio, I'm still seeing LM as a listener and I just want to make sure that I'm not
No, that's true. I also see her as a listener. I just want to make sure that I'm not glitched out. No, that's true.
I also see her as a listener.
I have sent her an invite.
Sorry for the chaotic energy to start.
We're going to get the vibe right now because you're here.
It's a space thing um and while
i concluded the jam um 186 episodes not that long ago this was part of the reason why we decided to
move to different platforms but definitely it's an energy thing but i am on the stage even if it
doesn't look like i am hello sometimes i think it happens the second the person speaks.
It's like, oh, they're actually here.
And all of a sudden I see you as a speaker.
So, you know, at least it's working.
And so glad to hear your voice.
It was so amazing a couple of weeks ago getting to meet you in Miami.
And finally, like feeling your vibes in person, because I've always been very, very intrigued by your art in the space and your energy and your presence.
And it's really exciting to get to know you on a deeper level.
And I'm sure everybody in here feels the same way.
So if you would, if you want, I'd love to hear like your go to introduction if you want.
Most certainly, most certainly.
Oh, my goodness goodness it was totally amazing
meeting you we will get into all the things but oh my gosh excited to be back here want to give
a huge shout out to everyone who is in the building what is going on all you beautiful
souls i am ellen designs eight a multi-dimensional healing. Everything that I do is rooted in healing and it transitions from physical to digital, making it is from something that you just want to look at, if you want to smell
the immersion, if you want to dive fully into the actual VR, AR world and have those auras
These are all portions and parts of what I do.
I'm called to all mediums and it is never tied to a platform or an application if it is there and this is what i am
able to create i use those mediums and those tools so welcome welcome welcome and i'm super excited
to be here wonderful introduction and i couldn't have said it better myself. And if you go to LM Design's link tree, you'll see a good example of that.
And wherever you want to go, there's a place for you.
That's something that I'm aspiring to try to do as well,
is kind of just step out of my comfort zone more and more
and just be present in as many possible places as I can.
And so that's something I think that I personally,
and hopefully everybody can
learn a little bit about today because there are a few artists I see successfully navigating
the broadness of this ecosystem. And I think that it's great because I personally feel
even as somebody that's more of like a Tezos-centric person, like even with all of this expansion I see LM doing, she still feels like a Tezos community member to me and somebody that I see coming back to like a home base almost like often.
So that's something I definitely wanted to talk to you about is what has that experience been like and how do you navigate that?
like and how do you navigate that oh that part so i'm so glad to be gifted and lean into the
superpowers of being super neuro spicy and everything else and definitely with that you
know where home bases are you know which places feel best and you feel most comfortable.
So that's why Tezos will always be and forevermore be where I come back to, where home bases, because this was a place where I was able to, one, show my artistry off to people who were accepting of it. And two, also find some of the most fabulous,
phenomenal artists and really turned into a collector here on Tezos first before anywhere else.
So for me, that's why I'm always going to be promoting
and shouting Tezos from the rooftops
because my goodness, it's the place of places.
It's where wonderful things are created.
And I'm so glad to be part of the ecosphere and the community. And also knowing that you can never just stay in one
space in one place, because as many times as we're told, well, you know, master of nothing,
because you do so many things, That can be a fallacy that
holds people back from letting their light shine. And I am not one of those people. I'm not going
back by that. You just poked a really strong passion point for me too. I literally call myself
the jack of hearts lately because it's like, not why can't i just make art however i
want and always possible and don't you dare limit me or tell me i can't that may not get as may not
get as many sales because it confuses people but that's not what it's about in the first place
right but people will come to it as they need to as they are to, and you are meant to do a thing. Don't let nobody tell you
what thing you're meant to do. No, no, no. And I have been ridiculed for, you know, okay, well,
you're not only working in black and white, you're working in 3D, you're working in this,
that, you're working in, and this is what I'm called to do. And watching as it unfolds,
and the fact that I kept pushing all of these different elements and different
aspects really, really brought home Miami for me this year, because I was able to create a
wellness zone at BitBasil. And there it had a culmination of all forms and all different types
of my artistry brought together in the form that I know how to
display it to everyone. And everyone was like, wait, you do all of this? And I'm like, all of
this. But it's the vibe. It's the environment. It's the way that we express ourselves. So if you are
willing to dive in, then I have something to show you. It's going to be magical. It's going to be
wonderful. And I'm excited to see how you It's going to be magical. It's going to be wonderful.
And I'm excited to see how you experience it because in that moment, it becomes a whole new
art piece. So yes, that's what keeps me not tethered to one place. I know that I need to
spread out and let it be shown to everyone because the people who are there for it, the collectors
who do want it it they just need to
know that it's here they just haven't seen it yet so yeah that's really well said and i think that's
um something that i'm trying to paint more and more into the articles that have followed miami
uh is this whole continued narrative of let's just get out there more and stop trying to force it, but be the force.
You know, like anywhere where there is a gravitational pull, us Tezos folks need to be satellites,
you know, and like just be at those things, exposing all of the realness, because otherwise it's just noise.
And what we can do with a contosathy of sound we can make it something beautiful
we can make it what we need it to be and Pezzos does that it allows so many people to come
together like we'll love art jow how the oh my goodness the beautiful beautiful collection that
we all got to experience and be a part of that was shown at the gates.
And then to Miami Knights of the Paper Buddha collection, it was amazing having and experiencing
art, our art, watching us, the artists, be so wrapped in a new form of experiencing our art
on the side of the gates in that way the people who were stuck
in traffic were being healed and elevated just because they were experiencing something and had
no idea some people had no clue the wonderfulness that they were wrapped in but we do and oh it's
exciting i still can't get over the feels of that moment and what that probably meant beyond what can even be described to thousands of people, whether they realized it or not.
They were being inundated with like healing Tezo's folks art, you know, like it was so cool to see.
I had a tear in my eye, especially when I was literally for my own personal element,
sitting there playing on my guitar with my art on the building.
Holy crap, I'll never forget that moment.
And I know that's how it was for so many of the exhibited artists there throughout the week.
And Jess, watching you, the artist, in a moment with, oh my goodness, it was so amazing.
watching you the artist in a moment with oh my goodness it was so amazing out of body and y'all
having a live performance art moment while the art was being displayed for everyone in the city to be
witnessing it was beautiful and then because we were doing it also for a good cause like so many
people often see just aspects of it and don't realize that this was also for the jamaica hurricane release so it's
the things that we're doing go to and touch so many more people than just at first glance it
goes beyond just the moment and having moments like this where we can sit and reflect and be like
do you remember the depths of what we just did it It's amazing. So thank you for this time in the space.
During the week in Miami, I was absolutely thinking, like, who's going to be on the show for next year?
And, like, your energy just screamed at me, as it always has.
at me as it always has but it was just kind of like clearer in person um and uh one of the things
But it was just kind of, like, clearer in person.
i wanted to talk to you about is the one love art dow your experience with that exhibit uh the piece
that you had exhibited um i remember it was really fun because i was able to capture uh some video
that was put in the reel because you just had that energy that needed to be portrayed. And just seeing you so excited in that moment
was definitely a key starting point of the trip for me.
So I would love to hear more about how that was from your perspective.
Yes, you caught me in my, I call it my glee moments.
I had lots of pockets of joy, big kid energy moments.
And that was one of them.
It was just, it was like, this is it moment.
And you don't realize how much your joy can be somebody else's instant.
And it's the best type of infectiousness because it was a happy moment.
And then it was everyone else experiencing their art and seeing it in that way.
That moment, that spot is electrified by our joy.
And I'm so glad that you caught the moment because I often come back after these experiences and then I'm
like I am terrible at posting because I was not catching the moments I played at the moment and
I have to go get those moments so thank you so much for documenting it um because yes I
walked into the gates and I automatically could hear the music from my piece being played.
So I was like, just follow the music and you'll see it.
And I was just like, oh my gosh, it's right there.
You having your own art call to you.
It's still something that I'm trying to process and download.
But I was just like, this is magical.
And I'm so thankful for One Love Arts Out.
I'm just overjoyed and filled with gratitude that they took the time.
Jenny took the time to just each and every piece.
I know what the behind the scenes of just doing and displaying one person's art,
let alone all the people that were involved
in this on all the different tiers. It was, oh, hats off to NFT, CLT, you know, Shayna,
Tony Bravado, all of them. It's just incredible. Paper Buddha, I'm so thankful that they take the
time to say, hey, artist, you got something amazing.
Watch what we do when we display it.
It was really, frankly, one of the best digital displays I think I've seen yet as far as just the layout, the professionalness of the curation,
the thoughtfulness of where each piece went in the display,
the Metasil frames, those are really freaking impressive.
I probably can't afford them, but maybe the most impressive looking frame. Not yet.
But yeah, so like it made it just really what you just said is so true and
like it's one of the first times i went to an event and was so impressed that like i walked
away remembering everyone's names like ingrained in my brain you know like everybody that played
a role is now like ingrained in my memory as a significant figure and a part of my memory there
uh not just because of what they did but having having me like being, you know, inviting me in and making me feel welcome.
And I've been kind of obsessing over One Love Art Dial ever since.
I'm excited to continue learning more about it.
So one of my questions is where did you find it and how did you become a member?
Where did you find it and how did you become a member?
So one of our cell, I was looking for and doing open calls on a few years ago.
Time flies when in Web3 and time is hard on me anyway.
So you're there and everywhere.
But it was the first Miami that I got involved. So that was a year ago,
2026, two years ago. But anyway, they were doing a piece and I have to give a huge shout out to
Tech Mental who was in the building. And because of the AR involvement that I was doing and different things I was
looking for open calls and was pulled into being able to have my art displayed at FitBasel.
Well I was looking at and also having my art displayed for International Women's Day and
they were involved with the curations along the way and got pulled into knowing, loving, and being featured by
them and then definitely was like, I have to become a member of this. So it was one of those
processes where the communities that I was involved with were showing me different amazing
communities that I needed to be involved in and that is one of those things. And I was like, oh,
there's artists that I know in here and I've love their artwork. So it was one of those,
oh yeah, no, I know you. I know you. Yeah, no, I want to be part of this too situation.
And I'm thankful that they're forever pulling in new people, highlighting new people and just
helping us grow. Because sometimes as artists, a lot of times as artists
in this day and age where you have to wear all the hats on being everything, we just want to do art.
And One Love Art Zowl really allows you the space to be able to do just art and that's okay.
And then they help you get that artwork that you've done out there so i'm thankful to anyone and everyone all of the
communities all those places spaces and people who allow artists to do their thing and then say hey
we're gonna show it off because you've done a thing really is uh from what i can tell it's
fantastic i'm i just joined the discord um and and am really curious how I can get my feet in
and experience more of it firsthand.
Because those are the types of things, especially even as just a journalist
for Tezlo's comments, those are the things I want to experience firsthand
if I'm going to cover truly and accurately.
It's the same reason I felt like I needed to dive in and go to Miami.
Not to mention, it's personal growth.
It's great for my art, so it's a win-win.
So absolutely, thank you for sharing,
and I look forward to chatting with you more in that Discord,
because I know that you're in there too.
we are having a wonderful Artsy Friday with Tezo's Commons, chatting with LM Designs about everything, her art and story and experience.
We're going to dive a little bit deeper here and talk about the inspirations and the workflows here in a moment as well.
Thank you for being here, Lex and Jack and the Tezos community, Mal, Findle, Achikaboo, Randall, Slim, Rubisco, Sister Sage, and Britt.
Really appreciate every single one of you.
Make sure to retweet the space,
especially because the space that we had originally promoted rugged and we had to do a new link.
So space might not get as many viewers
just because they don't know that it's a new link.
So we appreciate any help you can give us.
With that being said, I do have a follow-up question,
and that would be, when was your first mint in Web3, Tezos or not?
And how did that story take place?
How did you discover this world?
Oh, that's a good question.
My genesis is actually on Rarable yeah rareable whoo he's taking me back um and
it was one of those I feel like that one came very first because my next one was on foundation
because I had someone who was interested in the art. So I mentioned the art.
And then I was like, oh, my gosh, yes.
And then I fell in love with Tezos because I was like, wait, there's something that makes sense because the other was not making sense to my brain.
And so, yes, it was one of those situations. I came into knowing about NFTs because I was just doing creative challenges with Adobe.
And I loved the community, loved the people, would tune in every week in December 3rd.
And I was talking to my best friend.
And her husband was like, yeah, why
don't you just make an NFT with your art?
And then just walked out the conversation.
I was like, what three letter word is an NFT?
So me being who I am and how I am, I get curious about things.
So I went to where do I find out more about NFTs beyond what I just Googled on the internet.
And then that made me dust off X because I had Twitter and I was like, OK, but I was like, let's see what this is about.
And then I found my way to spaces.
And the rest is, yes, lots of rabbit holes in different history.
Yes, lots of rabbit holes in different history.
You know, I find it so fascinating how spaces are a continuing theme for early NFT people.
And it seems like it really did facilitate a lot of that confirmation and validation for people that were just getting their feet wet.
Yes, because it was this or it was um oh my goodness
the rooms why can't i think of the rooms goodness gracious it was the other place that we started
off and it was a invite only type situation so no what was it called i'm blanking on it too now
but i know exactly what you're talking about
dang i can't remember either off the top of my head but yeah there was that one
clubhouse yes clubhouse and so i had an invite but i was like okay going up to speak like i would
only go into one or two person people's room that i knew but i was like i was a listener
and then i was like x it didn't feel as intimidating, even though it was like, okay, this is crazy.
But I had, I mean, between COVID and everything else, I had come into using the socials as a way to get out and things of that nature.
So I had crossed from TikTok where it wasn't like the TikTok of today.
So we are sitting in a space.
You know people can see you,
but there isn't anything but the interaction of the chat.
And you are just by yourself in the space.
And if you do an hour live,
well, hey, you're doing an hour live
and don't think you don't feel crazy at first.
But then going to X made that like,
oh, you know, i had done the hard
work and that cringy type thing and i got past that and i then i started enjoying that so i was
like oh x is far more simple because i don't have to be seen but i can just funny you say that
that's absolutely exactly the same feelings i had comparing tikt X spaces. Going live on TikTok is brutal.
You're right. It's like you feel like you're talking to yourself and you don't get that
visual confirmation other than the random person decides to say, Hey, and you see people that are
like joining, but they're not actually joining. They're just scrolling. So you say, Hey to them
and they're probably already gone. It's a whole's a whole trip i really do appreciate that aspect of spaces and that that
part of it has stuck around for sure it's good reminder yes definitely because it's just it's
different it's like using a different medium for your artistry like it's going to be different if you're using acrylic versus oil.
And we that know, know those things.
So for me, I had to switch how I was living over there to fit what was most comfortable over there.
But over here, that's where the jam was born.
And that's where talking about Tezos and different things
and these different communities that I was in
and being part of the midi punks
and us all coming together to make our collaborations and various things happen.
So it was one of those definitely meet people where they're at, but also meet the socials
Don't be overwhelmed with too much, like have the socials and know that they will be targeting you to do specific things but
if that's not for you don't be pressured into doing what you don't want to do that's that's
my suggestion i like that that's good advice and as far as tiktok goes it's um it's an interesting
beast i i personally am still having a battle with it. I'm trying to figure out how to get the right kind of consistency
to grow a Tezos-related TikTok channel.
It's called Tezos Talk, at Tezos Talk if you want to join.
And that's an initiative I'm doing through Tezos Commons.
It's not great. I'm not proud of it, but we'll get it there.
And if anybody wants to check it out and has feedback,
what you would like to see in that kind of format, absolutely please reach out to me.
One of the things that I just recently added, thanks to the temple and their encouragement, was
the idea of doing audiobooks and the fact that it seems people like hearing me read my articles.
So I did a four-part short of the one of the more
recent articles and just literally reading it while it's on the screen, actually getting some
good views. So if you want to check it out again, I appreciate any feedback on that.
And with that being said, actually, LM, I wanted to ask you a follow up question, which is
with how that kind of made you shift in how you do things socially.
How how are you doing things before with your art and how did that change?
I found that with shifting so inward and being able to
connect with the different communities, I was able to share my art more. So I had to
actually put my art out there. I was an art hoarder for a very long time. I've been an artist
all my life. That's all I know. But I didn't necessarily put my art out before. And this being live, being in spaces and places where my art now could live forever and be minted and things of that nature. I was like, oh, well, this is legacy and I cannot have or hoard my art anymore.
I cannot have or hoard my art anymore.
This was never meant for just me.
That's a word for somebody.
But I had to release the art that I was keeping so closely.
And then I was finding that I was like, oh my goodness, I might not think that the piece
is done, but here in this state, in this instance, it is fine.
And this is for others to consume.
However they consume it is however they consume it.
So I grew in my confidence of just letting my art sail and fly to whomever it needed
It would reach those people to the people who were going to be critical of it.
They were going to be critical of it anyway.
So they still had something
to say about it and so i really found that these situations by being so inward and trying to share
still express out still stay connected allowed me to strengthen my confidence in my artistry
and in sharing my art i resonate with everything you just said absolutely we have a funny uh
funny parallel going on with that uh especially with the multidisciplinary aspect and just like
finding nfts and being like oh i actually have something to do with all this stuff
like that that really was a very uh never, never going to forget the encouragement that I felt in that exact moment of, oh my God, I have like all these photos that I just liked doing photoshop photography for years and I can make a collection now and this and this and this and that.
specifically is the encouragement to just let it be out there and tell your story and not have to
follow a specific rigid structure uh that's expected from the quote-unquote fine art or trad
art world uh so that's where i also find myself more and more leaning into like we're exactly what
we need to be in this community and space and uh we shouldn't change. So I appreciate that reminder.
Those that are going to be experimental and who are not going to fear the things that are coming
because we know which ways people can use it.
Which ways are we going to use it?
Because those are the ways that they haven't experienced yet.
And that is the power of it.
And when you are reminded in spaces and places that your light is necessary, it definitely helps with the artistic flow, with the creative flow.
And then it also helps you move from just being a producer into how do I find and connect with the people who will make this more than just that.
And for me, that is one of the things that I'm very excited about with 2026. I'm moving into
spaces and places like I've always done events and event planning and things of that nature,
but seeing how it all connects to my art and how I'm sharing out my art in different forms of immersion inside of these events,
producing wellness spaces for people.
Oh, it's, that's the calling.
LM, where are you located? Where are you based, if you don't mind me asking?
I'm in Virginia. I'm a VA girl. Yes, indeedy.
That's not, that's not too far.
You know, I just recently published through Tezos Commons the TZATL article, and it's talking about, like, let's stop talking about making events, and I'm going to try to actually put my feet where my mouth is.
And I would love help from anybody in this region.
And it sounds like we're on the same wavelength
so if you want to help uh with the initial planning of tzatl uh new events for people
to meet up in atlanta area georgia um love to chat with you um we already have a dm open so let's do
it look we need more spaces and more places that's exciting because yeah i'm like why isn't there a thing
in dc i can get to dc real quick no but there are things in dc and shout out to create vows who
constantly will invite me to different things that are in that area and whatnot so i appreciate all
the people who are sharing out the events and like eve um dmd eve, NFT Eve, she does a lot of different things in the DC, Maryland,
and Virginia. I have to remind myself to say it that way because I say DMV and people are like,
no one wants to go there. Okay. Anyways, that area of the world, but we should all have activations
where we are. And I'm glad that you bring that up that you're pushing for.
Let's do it here. We don't have to wait until the Art Basel Week. We don't have to wait until,
you know, Fashion Week for it to be New York Fashion Week. We don't have to wait for it to
be in New York. We can have it wherever we are. And that is part of why I love the digital side of everything we do, because we can transcend time and space in these ways when we create these worlds and realms and invite people in and do these amazing things together.
Well, that's something that everybody in the room, I hope you will take note of and be part of is that moving into 2026, let's create more real world experiences for people not just talk about it, but actually like step up and be part of planning more events, more consistent and frequent ways for us to stay connected and be present because I think that's exactly the the main the main theme at least in
my eyes for this coming year is presence and showcasing things by example instead of just
talking about them and that's a hard thing to do especially as artists as creative it's like
you know which way do I go is it the I'm in the creation mode
zone? Am I in the I'm in the sharing zone? Am I in the we're converting it to sales because at the
end of the day, we all need to be fed and taken care of zone. But wearing those hats simultaneously,
it can feel like a lot. Everyone take a moment to breathe. Everyone take a moment to say, okay, I am doing the best I can.
And at times, I'm not going to be at 100% in each one of those zones.
I'm not going to be able to do that.
So find the places and spaces that help replenish you and renew you.
Like Malicious' spaces, when she hosts them they're so
amazing and they used to be the jams but you can find the jam recordings if you need a refresher
of hydration in the word and musical and lyrical sense but at any place any space find the places
and the people who remind you just breathe in this moment just take a moment and
breathe because you're doing great it's a lot of work humaning is hard but we're here making it
beautiful what y'all better you better you better stay tuned in and be part of this
or you're missing out and i absolutely agree by the way mal is a wonderful example of somebody
that does show up and continue to be an example of how to be present. Appreciate you.
Along with Stroke, we're not going to leave out Stroke. So please, they're in the building because, oh my goodness.
That's a great point. Absolutely.
The most consistent person about Tezos and places and things, holding spaces. Thank you, Stro you okay absolutely thank you stroke tesla's network
artist network we all have a couple of this room has actually grown a lot recently thank you
everybody who's joined in for another tesla's commons artsy friday today we are chatting with
lm designs about anything and everything that she wants to talk about with when it comes to art
uh inspiration what what drives it all, workflow.
So that's another thing I wanted to ask you about.
I know that more recently you've been diving into activations
and using AR to bring further experience into the visual art.
So if you would like, I'd love to have uh share with the room some of that experience like
the card that you gave me um uh during the space during miami week um and anything else yes okay
so i've been obsessed with ar mr xr vr for the longest time So I've been in love with XR for a very long time. I met Cybernerd
Baby. Okay, let's see. 2023, maybe 2022. And I was like, this is what I want to do. But people
weren't at that time as ecstatic as I was about these things, the people who were creating these experiences, of course, love them, live in them.
But having other people outside of our small bubble, it wasn't as accepted as it is now.
Everyone, since glasses came around, everyone's been like,'s been like okay now let's start getting
into it and i've been dreaming about this for oh let's just say when i was a kid and i would go to
the disney store i was the one who was playing inside of the computer and coloring everything
and wondering how that system and code was written versus the people who were getting
the costumes around the store. But this has been a dream come true for a long time. So
to be recognized as someone who is now doing this more is a wonderful thing.
What you experienced was one of my paint pour immersions. This piece was not named until BitBazzle because of the theme of their event. And I finally got a name
for my piece, which was my galactic fingerprint. And it was amazing because the piece is so
beautiful and gorgeous in the physical because it is one of my physical canvas pieces that is of my larger size. And then this turned into a print, turned into an AR
activation where I made inside of Lens Studio, the AR effects come to life. So inside of Lens Studio,
I pulled in my favorite Love Wings logo, which is a piece that came from 2020, I believe. And I've embedded it into many
different places, made it many different wearables. And so I put it inside of this piece with a 3D
augmented moon and have a different filter effect that pops out as something that you can look through because
we are echoes of our fingerprints. There's always going to be depth into the animations and the
pieces that I want to express to others. But whatever you get out of it, I'm excited for.
I lead with charging and healing you. So this is why the love wings being tied to the moon and being released through this augmented reality piece was so special to me.
The image trigger was the piece that you received that everyone could scan in and then check out on their phone.
But I'm going to build out this augmentation in different formats.
I know AFL is coming to a close, but there are lots of different places that I love to augment with, such as Illus and WebXR and anywhere that I can AR, I do.
It's something that I feel like I'm going to have to get a pair of glasses to tap into again
and just to be honest i'm right there with you where i i was into this and excited about it
way ahead of its time so much so that i gave it so much energy that i got burnt out on it
and kind of need to refine the love for it uh i might and i don't want to i'll
make this short but my first ever gig like a job in crypto was a friend of mine from college started
a app called vivid and it was literally a way ahead of its time ar chart app where you could literally put multiple charts anywhere in the room in AR.
And I got so excited about it. I was so into it. I was working for them as an admin for as long as
I could. And it just fizzled. It never ended up going anywhere. People weren't using it.
But it's so exciting to see that translate now into what I actually care about anyway, which is art.
You know, like I was just doing that to get by and try to learn about the tech world.
But now it's like actually being installed in ways that I could see being utilized for music experiences, for audiovisual.
Like even the one that we have in your gym thread that was posted earlier.
The first piece in that gym thread, by the way, is an audio visual installation.
Definitely check it out. Go listen with headphones. It's really incredible.
And that one is actually one of the ones that was on the wall or on the side of the building for the Gates Hotel during Miami.
So that's actually a good segue.
If you wanted to talk about any of the pieces that were put into the gem thread today.
I discovered pores of melanin from early on.
Love to talk about that painting if you want to start there.
I was so amazing seeing it.
I was like, oh, they've been found.
The little gems that you leave for people you love when they're found. But this actual piece, back when Hen was alive,
oh, shout out to all the people who know about Hen, okay.
It was amazing to be able to combine.
This was when I was working on getting used to understanding
what AI was going to be doing with my artwork
So in this piece, I actually decided to combine two different pieces that I had done in various
One of them is a physical canvas piece that I painted and did a resin glitter sealant on for one of my best friends
which is the base piece and then I blended it with another piece over top to make a collage and see
how it was going to turn out and the way that it blended it together because the base piece is mostly just blues.
There's no purples in it.
There's no, yeah, it's just blues.
And it's amazing to see that in this combination,
the way that the computer put it all together, it was almost as if it was doing an aura reading of the actual original
So for me being an energy being
oh, wait, energy is everywhere.
They can read and understand
that this piece was inspired by,
it was actually inspired by,
I took a personal photograph,
used it from a modeling piece I had done when I was in college and used that as
my base for the actual initial piece but I had put in words because I was trying to help just
charge my friend because she's such a beautiful beautiful soul and she was going through a moment
of transition and I wanted her to be reminded that she was
beautiful and things of that nature so watching the computer really tie in colors that were
for her crown chakra and her throat chakra was phenomenal in ways that I wasn't I wasn't prepared
for I was like oh I wasn't expecting this I was caught off guard by the computer and what it had done there and so
for me i was like oh this is going to be wonderful collaborations moving forward because
not only do i see the ones and zeros and most things all around me but the ones and zeros are
reading my energy and that was a fascinating piece to connect with and understand that's really
powerful on several layers especially
because sorry if i interrupted your the ending of your statement there but like
this is gan like this is early early before we called it ai ai so you've got like this natural
representation before it was even cool of how you can collaborate with technology to take something and make it more
and deeper and digital. So absolutely cool. I didn't mean to pick that, but it actually lines
up perfectly in that sense that like, that's what we're seeing right now, even within a lot of open causes where does the immersion start um where
does the technology begin the genesis of it becoming art versus an idea um and i think
this piece represents a lot of that really well thank you for describing it thank you thank you
for finding it this piece was a lot of fun um this piece and yeah, the scully buds, it was amazing to have the scully buds because I will always start in experimentation.
or developed in my vernacular on whichever medium that it is,
I find that I will always go back and add something to a previous piece.
So yes, the things that are minted are minted in stone,
but when the first original people who collected the base piece of the Scully Buds,
piece of the scully buzz they then got future mint people who collect my art get future things
they then got future mints.
or they're able to tie into the ar messages that are i can change them at any time so my pieces
will forever be in flux and in motion even if they are minted in this moment i love that capability
i i uh i encourage that myself i'm trying to encourage that for myself.
And I absolutely think it's one of those things that we should take note of with the space in general.
If other artists are able to make derivatives of other people's art, why can't we make derivatives of our own art?
Why can't we have 10 different versions of the same concepts that are done differently for the people at the time that
need to see it or feel it in that way. Kind of like world religions in a way, not to get too
deep, but they're all kind of the same thing staged in different ways for the cultures that
need to hear them the way they need to hear them. So why can't we do that with like my song? Why
can't I write a song and then have like 10 different genre productions of it i can now because this technology puts me back in power
to do that and make my own rules so that's what you're hearing from lm designs and another example
of that and i just needed to parrot it because of how much i agree with that and feel like that's
us taking the power back from these quote-unquote industries that control art excuse me anyway look that needed to be said and and it's true
because you know if we allow ourselves to be limited by the industries well i guarantee i
wouldn't be sitting here in front of you all today my whole wants to do games and build immersions and things would have stopped at PlayStation Network,
trying to get past the red tape of that Apple Store, Google Store, Play Store, all of the different trying to get past the red tape.
It will kill the creative spirit. It will kill. It will crush it.
It will say, you know what? I can go do
else where I'm not so guarded and blocked. But now there's, there's none of that. You can make
your own apps. You can release your own apps. You can share them out in the ways and forms to the
people who are ready to receive them. And with this main piece, my favorite piece,
my favorite piece, this Pride remix.
It was amazing because I was able to pull together
all these different and various art forms.
I have been so inspired by musical artists
along my journey between being introduced into Web 3,
moving into Web 5, and the immersive and beyond.
Musicians have been calling to me.
And I was like, don't be limited by saying I'm not a musician.
I did that with my poetry and spoken words.
There was a time that I, before Spaces, I was not wearing the poetry hat.
I was not calling myself a poet.
we wear many hats and it's okay to wear many hats. And in this piece, I was able to use a beat that I
had been given and pair it with my spoken word in a form that made it feel musical for me to call it
a musical piece. And then I wanted to have audio reactive going on. So I got into the program and things
that I like to do and made the pieces of artwork respond to the beats because that audio responsive
things just is my jam. I just love it. And if you look closely, the butterflies that you see,
this is all about releasing the throat chakra, releasing the crown chakra, elevating and energizing those. And those butterflies are
actually, if anyone's been into central lands and knows about my throat and crown chakra,
piece that you can wear in that, that's actually the piece that's in there. It's in the piece that
is in spatial. These are the things that you can do. You make one asset, it can go everywhere,
depending on how far you are imagining it.
So for me, I was able to bring in elements of varying art forms
that I love so much into one piece.
And at surface level, you would never understand or know
all of the things that go into it.
But that's why we can do metadata,
and we can do descriptions when we do mincing so i have
power in the mincing and power in the descriptions and i encourage anyone if you are looking and
loving the art definitely check out the description and find out where else this piece is connected
absolutely it's it's a whole inception going on something One of my strong realizations in Miami was that art has endless possibilities if you just keep unfolding upon itself.
So that's what I hear LM saying there is that what starts as a JPEG can be seen as a thousand different meanings.
That's a classic cliche saying, but take that a next step.
That JPEG can be unfolded and turned into several JPEGs that become a GIF that can be unfolded
further into something that adds audio and becomes a whole audio visual experience. And then you can
unfold that further into a further dimension, literally, and start doing augmented reality and
four dimensional things. And then you go into things that we haven't even tapped into yet, further into a further dimension literally and start doing augmented reality and four-dimensional
things and then you go into things that we haven't even tapped into yet but you can start to
understand they're not impossible based off of how things are so you get this whole level of just
exciting possibilities that frankly can only be realized through seeing things as art um so thank
you um i've been on a really strong
kick on that, and it's nice to have somebody verbalize it in different ways to kind of
reinforce. With that being said, we are going over time, and that's awesome. I love it. I love
any time that we have enough fun to where it's not even like, oh, wait, it's been an hour already.
With that being said, I do want to open up the stage. If anybody has questions for L.M., wants to come ask anything,
any specific piece that you love that you want to talk about,
and just want to make sure, are you okay with that, L.M.?
Well, if anybody wants to come up and speak,
just a reminder that we do have some potential issues going on.
Hopefully, we'll see your request and get you up here.
Looks like we did get a request.
Kryptonio snagged it before I could see who it was,
and they're still showing as a listener.
What a great room, right?
That room, I felt like it was just 10 minutes.
But it's great to see all the usual suspects in the room.
Yeah, I just wanted to kind of say hello to LM.
It's been like, what, a month since I saw you?
Always a great time to see you.
Always a great time to see you. Always a great time to see you.
And I really appreciate you.
And I'm glad that Yoshi and the collective reached out.
Because I think it was definitely time to allow you to shine on this stage.
And I've had the opportunity to work with you within different capacities.
to work with you within different capacities.
I was able to have your virtual world,
as a virtual world builder featured in BitBasil in 2024.
I was able to participate as a colleague
within our multiple, multiple AR activations
throughout the United States.
And just also hopefully as a friend, right?
And the one thing that I've, if I had to put like a common numeral on everything is just
that your consistency in showing up, your consistency in being the same person throughout
all of these different personalities that we have to project,
right? That's the one thing I'm most impressed with. Just your consistency and who you are
right here in this space is who you are in person. And I know there's so much more because you're
also, you're a daughter, you're a mother, you're a a wife you're a sister and so i know there's all
of that going on as well which i respect very much but i just wanted to say you know it was
it's it's definitely dope to work with you it's dope to know you and it's dope to like really
experience your art but honestly as as someone who's curated your art someone who's worked with
you on different facets your your professionalism is very impressive
like the way you show up you know and and and i i say this to people because we have a lot of
professionals in the room as well as well as creators and everything that everyone does
it's like these are the people like we're all creative in our own sense you know whether we're
sandwich artists or whatever art you you promote but you know know, we have a bad rap. And I think it's more
of a generational thing that, you know, as artists, we're lazy, we do this, we do that. It's like,
we can't do any more than what we do, right? Maybe we can. But I mean, I love the fact that
LM, that you show up and you say you're going to do what you're going to do, you know, and that opens the doors for so
many people, you know, we need to continue to do that, you know, just put everything forward to
take what you manifest and bring it forward and take it forward. And that's what's going to allow
you to grow. So I just want to take a minute to say that because your consistency is and your personality is is is your I think is
your real art and I just wanted to say you know send love your way what oh my gosh that is I moved
I'm like you know I'm an emotional being wait a minute that means so much like thank you like
truly thank you like it's one thing to have
your art appreciated but to be appreciated as the actual entity that you are i much gratitude oh
yeah really well said lex and honestly that's again one of the things that continues having me show up is I continue to see people be acknowledged, not just for what they create, but who they are.
web3 specifically tezos is people that look beyond the image that you're seeing on the profile
and like beyond the art and say what's going on with the human being behind that art
and that goes both ways it takes people like lm and myself who wears my heart on my sleeve and
like lex that comes up and speaks and throws the flowers that are needed to be thrown and is there activating things in the real world like this is what it takes to get that
reciprocal experience online um so thank you i appreciate that
oh my gosh no i totally second third fourth it all the way to the eighth and beyond it, because having powerful, like, again,
you can be powerful in your own light.
But when you have people who are like, I see that light,
I will help magnify and shine that light.
So thank you, Lex, for the curation.
Like, thank you as a friend.
Thank you for always sending me the DMs be like,
hey, this is an open call.
Hey, this is always sharing it out always pulling in community members always just sharing out this is where these things are happening for those who are interested i appreciate you so much
it's all good it's all good but i'll also put some pressure on you because now there's people
in the room and people who are going to be listening be like hey i need to ask you for some help so you know you
just open yourself up for that because um and again i mean i think there's still i mean if we
had another hour in the next community you know there's stuff that we need to talk about about
the fashion element you know the digital part and all that how that's opening up and i think that's
going to be a big window for 2026 with everybody in the room.
So there's a lot of dope people in this community
and we all need to shine together, you know?
And just to piggyback on what Lex just said,
absolutely a reminder that on the last Friday of every month,
And those are the types of conversations
that I'd love to have extended,
especially when we have great spaces like this
Please come back, continue talking about those things
A lot of times we let those go way over time as well.
So if you want to talk more about fidgetals,
That's something that I've also seen really come to life
even more recently with AI.
Freaking loving it. It's so cool to see how
we can integrate so many different aspects of creativity. And again, it goes back to the
unfolding kind of concept. It's just going to continue unfolding and unfolding forever.
And that's life. That's art. So I really appreciate everybody coming up and sharing
their experiences and versions of that. And this is a last call.
If anybody else wants to come up today to ask LM Designs questions or compliment or ask about an upcoming release, you're welcome to come up.
And I do have to piggyback on the digital fashion stuff because, yes, oh, my gosh, fashion activations.
Y'all, I'm here for it i love it i live in it it is a way that i'm going to actually be elevating my art and i suggest to
anyone who does any type of art form consider having a merch side of things because people
do love looking at it but they also love wearing it and being in it. And the charge that they get
from wearing their own artistry, like their favorite artists, it's amazing to watch people
just glow in your art. And you're like, yes, this is how you extend the healing and extend
the magic that is you. And it doesn't take any more from you because all it took was you setting
it up initially. Other people come to it as they need to. I make physicals and physicals out of
everything. My wear the drip collection is out and active. My energy queens activate, speak the
spoken words that created them. These are all things that everyone can do. If anyone hasn't
seen the fifth element, this is the times that we're living in. Everything around you can activate. It's one of those situations. So I encourage everyone to take a look at what you're doing and see where else it can be.
As everything is gamified, you are the game.
Where do you want to leave the breadcrumbs, the Easter eggs?
Where do you want people to jump in and activate?
Where do you want to join them in?
So remember, this is more than just that one moment of art that you've had.
It extends infinitely if you give it breath.
And with that, on 1-1-1, I will be releasing Infinite Breath, a new rendition of the world.
I am doing the final testing right now.
People can jump in and join in on 1-1-1.
We will be getting started at 11.
Again, it's all the 1-1-1.
So, yes, I just wanted to share that out
wonderful and again thank you and again um we'll make sure to pin everything and anything that you
want to share in the comments of the space we'll keep that going as well and the space is recorded
uh i believe recently we saw an announcement those spaces are going to be recorded and held for longer now
instead of just uh one month and then disappearing i hope that's true how cool would that be um
anyway thank you guys so much for tuning in for another artsy friday with teslos commons and
hearing lm design's story and supporting her art uh make sure to check out the gym thread that we
have at the top real quick i just want to read through a couple of things uh just a reminder about the baking sheet.tesloscommons.org the
baking sheet is a quick weekly digest that pulls together teslos news big project updates and
community highlights absolutely a great way to keep up with everything um the teslos community
rewards program just a reminder still going strong as always every month if you have somebody in the
just impressed by that seems to be going above and beyond and helping the tezos community shine
make sure to nominate them for the tezo crp hashtag tezo crp or you can go to tezos comments.org
slash rewards and last but not least as i mentioned earlier on in the space the article of the month
initiative is still going strong and i'd love to continue keeping it strong if you guys will nominate artists that you see in the space that move you
anytime you see a piece of art that just makes you go wow give it that hashtag tez article
we'll put the artist in a long list of nominees and every month go through pick five randomly
with will the names to do a long form article format spotlight on each of them. This past month, I did a special kind of exception,
which is the New Year's article where I just went through
and did a personal thank you for some of the gifts
that I was given during the holidays.
You can check that at the pin on Tezoscom's account.
And again, let's make February special and decentralized
by nominating more artists for that initiative.
Thank you guys again so much.
LM Designs, do you have any final parting words for us today?
All of you beautiful souls who came in, it's your time that you share.
It's so amazing and precious.
I just want to say, like I like to say before I leave any place in space, always remember, find your hydration, whatever form that is for you.
And always remember, love self, love others, and love often. Thank you so much.
Absolutely. We'll end it on those words because I can't say it any better.
Thank you guys. Have a great weekend. Take care. We'll see you next week.
