okay okay do are you um are you ready
hey hey what's going on zone techetech? Welcome everyone, CryptoFam Radio breaking into blockchain art episode two.
Make sure we have retweeted the space, guys. Tagged a few more friends.
Appreciate you, Zonetech, for starting the music.
Yeah, that was amazing. Love those lo-fi tracks.
Sometimes, you know, like we got to take it easy and chill. I know it's TGIF and everything, and the weekend is upon us, but it's so, so good to just chill every once in a while, right?
Right in the mornings, kind of just ease yourself in.
Is that how you usually spend your Fridays, Dante?
It's so crazy that you actually brought this playlist to my awareness.
Actually, dude do he sent me
this playlist today and I played it and I was like oh wow like this is actually
this is really nice I usually play play excuse me Bossa Nova and more like
instrumental so that this is like up my alley so I wanted to play this as like a
way to kind of start you know um start into the weekend I feel like we put so much pressure on ourselves and it's always good to just have like a woosah.
We definitely put way too much pressure on ourselves.
We are our worst critic, right?
So we have to remember, have grace, and just don't beat ourselves up so hard.
Take it one step at a time, baby steps, right?
Just that 0.0001% getting better every single day.
So thank you so much, everyone, for being here.
This is episode two of Breaking into Blockchain Art.
Before we get started with today's content uh i just wanted to direct
everyone up on the jumbotron fam we've got our weekly live space schedule if you haven't tapped
into that yet that's where we do all our spaces throughout the week every single week is a little
bit different so you always want to keep checking back to crypto fam radio we have new content
every single week we have new speakers sometimes we have new content every single week. We have new speakers. Sometimes we
have new space hosts. You know, we rotate our space hosts and space co-hosts as well.
And we do this because, you know, we love working together as a team. We want to build that up.
We instill value in other Web3 communities as well. And we help promote them as well. You know,
so if you guys are looking into sponsorships, CryptoFam Radio just released our pricing guide for sponsors.
If you're interested in sponsoring CryptoFam Radio, hit us a DM and we'll definitely get you onboarded.
We've had quite a few projects already onboard with us.
And I'm just so grateful for that.
I'm very, very blessed to have that type of just awareness.
And people that believe in you and believe in your community, that that's, that's stellar. So big shout out to everyone in the building. I see you guys,
DigiJoints, BeamerBoy, these are epic legend space hosts down here. Make sure you guys are
following them as well. We're also on TikTok live. So I've got another phone going where I'm
live streaming this space. So big shout out to everyone on TikTok. If you're not following us,
it's just CryptoFamRadio.
We have just been growing exponentially on TikTok recently.
Last week, I think I started the account
and we're already over 100 followers.
So, you know, that's huge.
that there was a massive crypto following on TikTok.
You know, I'm just new communities
I've never seen on Twitter before that are on TikTok
and that are promoting and getting their tokens noticed or their NFT projects on there. So make
sure you guys are tapping into other social media platforms as well. Just Not Crypto Twitter.
There's a big world out there, fam. So a big shout out to everyone in the building. I see you. I see
my name is Mudd as well. I've seen him multiple times.
We got Mountain Dew in the house.
We got Zoney Smith as well.
All my alt accounts, fam.
Thank you so much for being here.
And we got Colin in the building.
Colin, it's good to see you, man.
Dude, this guy is an OG Crow fam guy.
When I got first started on the Kronos chain, I met this dude and man,
he is a legend. So make sure you follow Colin as well. He's doing amazing work on the Crow
chain. Big Crow fam there. So maybe down the road, we may work together in a space. I don't
know. But you know, it's a big joy to have really great connections like that and making
friends along your journey in crypto. It is just such a blessing. And then also have Niall Cottrell. Hopefully I'm saying that
right. I'm not butchering your name, Niall, but appreciate you being here as well. I see you,
fam. And yeah, Zontech, I wanted to bring it back to you. I wanted to see how your morning's going.
How's your Friday? I know you've had quite the epic week. I don't know if you want to share that
as well, but I would absolutely love that.
I feel like I haven't talked to you in a minute, Zone Tech.
Like, I feel like it's been a week, but I think it's only been like one or two days.
But still, I just wanted to catch up with you real quick as well before we get started on today's topic.
Yeah, my Friday is actually going really well.
It's raining outside, so that's a bummer. But this week has actually been good. It's just been productive and busy.
is going to be good because it's going to allow me to basically showcase my portfolio, also my work,
and then potentially work with some of these architects in the South Florida area. So I'm
really excited about that. And I've been like, putting a lot of my energy towards that and
towards my website and just making sure things are good. Besides, obviously doing follow ups,
emailing meetings, the whole nine. So I've been busy in that aspect, but overall, really,
really good, really positive, happy to have another day just to be able to create, but also
to be in spaces like this and just really connect with different people, connect with different
communities, and really just having, again, the floor to just speak.
So I'm just truly happy to be here.
But how's your Friday going?
Thank you so much, Zone Tech.
And I appreciate you just telling us what's going on.
You know, being real, being transparent with people is definitely key in this space.
So definitely appreciate everyone rocking up and supporting CryptoFam Radio.
I just got into Denver yesterday.
Actually, I ran out of 24 miles yesterday morning.
That took a lot out of me.
That's my last long run before the epic marathon that I have to run in less than two weeks' time.
So I'm starting to taper, starting to rest more,
starting to restore my energy. But yeah, I'm really excited about this marathon just to get
it over with, but to also just, I don't know, just relax a little bit as well. You know,
I've been putting so much time and energy into training. So after that 24 miles, I was super
sore as you can imagine, Sam. So I actually Googled a place where I could have a sauna and an ice bath. And I was like, hey, I really need this.
Haven't had one of these in a while. So I went to like this business. First time I've ever been to
it. It was brand new. It was called like Colorado Salt Coe Bath or something. It's based out of
Manitou Springs, if you guys know, you know. But yeah, check this place out.
Like seriously, it's definitely your vibe.
Like when I stepped into it, I felt like I was in part of India almost.
You know, it was very, not Middle Eastern, but you know, kind of that Eastern side of medicine, right?
I think I sent you a video, right?
Yeah, yeah, of the ice cold plunge.
Actually, I did the sauna first for about 10, 12 minutes.
You want to always do the sauna first, fam.
If you're doing this type of, you know, workout or cool down or restorative, you know, health
as you've done a big workout, you want to do the sauna first, kind of sweat everything
And then after the sauna for about 10, 15 minutes, you put yourself in this ice bath and like 50 degrees Fahrenheit, really cold water fans, so freaking cold. But
like once you get in there, it just feels amazing. Like seriously, it is just so epic.
But I was in there for about 10 minutes max. That's all I could go until I was like freezing
my legs off. And I dunked literally my entire body in there, right? So start with the legs all the way in, but it is the best feeling.
You feel so refreshed, so revitalized after this ice bath, fam.
Then last 10 minutes, I just put myself in the sauna.
And yeah, it was just great, just drying off.
And yeah, it was just an amazing experience, Zone Tech.
I recommend anyone, if you're doing hard training or not even training,
if you're just working out training or not even training like if you're just like working out you know everyone's watch just nice to get that you know sauna experience and uh cold plunge at
the same time i don't do it too many times though you don't want to shock your system that much but
like when you first wake up in the morning if you do that for like two or three minutes every morning
uh you will definitely uh be just blown away by how much more energy you have throughout the day. So that's a body hack for you, fam.
Do ice plunges after hard workouts.
But yeah, I did that yesterday.
And then I went to Casa Bonita.
If you guys don't know, I did a GMGM post about Casa Bonita last night.
It's this Mexican restaurant that South Park themed.
South Park guys' founders took it over.
You know, they renovated everything.
I don't know if you guys know the story behind Casa Bonita.
It's this massive, beautiful restaurant slash theme park, I would say best.
And I guess they used to have a lot of them back in the day, but they only have one left, and it's in Denver.
You know, it's very remarkable, you know, memorable.
Maybe we can get into that later, Zone Tech, when we talk about art, you know, and how uh remarkable you know memorable maybe we can get into that later zone
tech when we talk about art you know and how to capture people's attention you know breaking into
blockchain art so being uh memorable being remarkable is definitely goes a long way and
i've never been to it it was almost like a dinner show slash um just like mini walt disney experience
i don't know it's hard to describe because it's like you want to compare, right,
to give people a mental picture of what you saw.
But anyway, I posted like a video and a picture and stuff under that GMGM post.
So I'll put that up in the description, fam.
But Casa Bonita, you have to check it out.
It was an amazing experience.
And then later today we're actually going to go to Meow Wolf.
If you haven't heard of that, it's like a big art exhibition thingy. I don't know. I've never been before. My sister's gone a few times. But we're going to go to Meow Wolf. If you haven't heard of that, it's like a big art exhibition thingy.
I don't know. I've never been before. My sister's gone a few times, but we're going to go later
today. I think after this space, after we rug it in a few hours, we'll probably head over there
and spend the afternoon. You know, Denver definitely has a lot to offer. Zone Tech,
I'm not going to lie. Denver is really cool. However, it's just the traffic and it's just expensive too, you know, and I'm just like, I'm a big believer in going to higher elevation too.
And the Springs is a bit higher too.
So, you know, if I'm working on elevation train, I want to go to the Springs.
But anyway, big shout out to everyone in the building again.
That's kind of what I'm up to in so many words.
I know that was a lot, fam.
But, you know, I'm really... Everyone, be in here and support CryptoFam Radio. Make sure we are retweeting the space,
tagging a few more friends. I'm trying to bring up a few people up here as well.
GMGM fam, we got Beamer Boy in the house. How's it going, fam?
I think he's rugging. Zonetech, is he there? He says he's rugging.
It's all good. When people request the mic, then they can't appreciate I appreciate you it's all when people
request the mic and then they can't talk now I talk to him I'm just messing with
you fam I appreciate you being here being a boy I appreciate everyone in the
house I see we got a bunch of red dog lessons it's hard it's had to show up, man, because it's hard. It's hard to show up to everything. You know, so I was like, you know what? I haven't really put no love on my boy Crypto Fam, bro.
I got to get in here and show what my boy do. So I was like, let me go pull up, man.
You know, you know, you squad for life, bro. You family. And, you know, I mean, how could you not be famed with Crypto Fam Radio and the Beastie Radio squad?

Yo, what's going on, Beamer Boy?
Thank you so much for being here as well.
Absolutely love you supporting Crypto Fam Radio.
I really, really appreciate the support as always.
Thanks for being here, Beamer Boy.
And yeah, man, everything's good.
Everything's gravy, you know? I'm just doing the things I always do,
doing all the things to make other things happen.
And so other people are blessed and supported.
And so, yeah, I'm absolutely loving today.
Like I mentioned before, I'm up in Denver now.
Yeah, I've been in Denver in a minute.
You know I'm coming out there.
You know my brother lives out there.
They're out there. Yeah, bro. I'm a station in Fort Carson. Oh, okay. Word. coming out you know my brother oh okay basis nice well you have you been eat

I'm definitely going to pull up on you.
Definitely for sure, man.

Anyway, big shout out to everyone that's just rocking up in the space.
I was going to comment earlier.
We've got a lot of red dogs in the building.
Are you friends with these dogs?
Or do you have any connection?
I'm just curious. Like big shout out to you guys. But I just you know like are they bots like what's going on champ yeah i

these guys before yeah yeah are they your friends Clefard and the Big Ring? Yeah.
Are they your friends, Chief Two?
I think they came in behind Digi.
You know what I'm saying?
I think that's some of the Digi's people right now that just came on board to the community.
They were inside the Digi joint space this morning with us.
Now there's more of them.
It's like they're multiplying. We babies, kids.
We multiply. Yeah,'s more of them. It's like they're multiplying. We babies, kids. We don't die. We
multiply. Yeah, they're literally multiplying. I just saw one or two, and now there's like five
or six. They just cannot keep coming. But anyway, we appreciate you guys for coming up and supporting
by listening. Oh, a few of them vanished. All right. All right. I talked about them. They got
scared. They got nervous. Anyway, big shout out to DigiJoints over in the building as well.
Appreciate you being here.
And Zonetech, I think I'm ready to get started.
Let's get caught up out here.
So thank you again, guys, for joining the space.
This is our second episode.
And we wanted to create this space
for people who are newer to blockchain that just, you know, trying to find placement,
trying to find a community and learn more about how to build with their art, build with different
communities, understand different blockchains and look at this as a way as just a
platform to continue to create. And like I said, just to network with just different people. So
again, we really appreciate everybody for being here. That being said, we're actually going to
get into, so Du and I, we spoke about marketing. Like what are some great ways to market your art, to market the way that
you basically put yourself out there with your brand? And I'll start off with my journey
specifically. I started off actually as a collector. I collected a lot of different
artwork within Ethereum and then also in the XRPL. And that actually inspired me to push myself to
start creating my own art and putting myself out there. And from being able to go to these
different communities, be in these different spaces, network with different people, and just
really collaborate with different people, I started to get comfortable with not
only my brand but also my focus so I began marketing my artwork I'm known for
architectural photography so I shoot buildings and I turn it into art and
that is something that I've been passionate about that's something that I
have a love for I can look at a building and literally have an awe for it and just want to know and understand everything about the development
and the build out. So for me, being able to come into the space and find my way and find my community,
I've learned a couple of tools from my peers. And it inspired me to say, you know what, I actually want to create a
space where we can get newbies and people who may not be familiar with Web3 or who may not be
familiar, excuse me, with NFTs, just to be able to find a space that we can talk openly, obviously,
respectfully, and be able to inspire and also help each other along you know our journeys
so marketing is something that is extremely huge highly recommend also to looking at different
blockchains again I'm very I'm on XRPL but I have been looking into a lot with Solana excuse me I've
been looking into ton I've been also looking into Foundation.
And there are so many different blockchains.
And sometimes it can get overwhelming, you know, trying to find all of these,
trying to find your footing in which blockchain would be suitable to you.
So I always recommend also doing your research.
Again, being able to listen into these spaces.
I've been in these spaces for months so
and I have friends that are very deep within some of these blockchains so I understand the
functionality as well as what it can do for my art because I've seen it I've been a part of it and
you know now it's just about marketing and putting myself out there. But I would highly recommend, like I said before, just being able to communicate and to connect with these different people.
He's super, super bullish when it comes to crypto and just speaking about his experience as well as I am.
You know, we're open and this is an open space and open community.
But what are your thoughts, Stu?
What are your thoughts in terms of marketing from your aspect,
from being a photographer,
and how you were able to translate that into the Web3 space?
Yeah, that's a great question, Zontek.
I actually had a similar question to you, but you beat me to it. I appreciate you, Zontek.
Yeah, so when I first started Web3, yeah, I was a photographer. I was a professional photographer, and I was working on these personal photo projects, right?
The very first one, actually, I started up in Alaska when I was still going to school up at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks I was studying journalism and public relations and on my
last semester I remember distinctly I wanted to do a photo project in the snow
with this massive piano right so I had this piano which I borrowed from a
thrift store right down the road I told them I'd bring it right back which I did
a little more snow cover than it
started with, fam. But yeah, this was like January. Just think about it. In Alaska,
you got the cold, you got a bunch of snow. I was location scouting, I think, for a few weeks.
And I wanted to do, so I saw another photographer down south near New Mexico, Arizona, Texas area.
He was also a wedding photographer at the time.
And so he did this piano project where he took this upright piano.
It wasn't like a baby grand.
It was like an upright one, right?
And he took it and he photographed it in the desert, right, in sand dunes and stuff.
And then he took really great fine art photos from it, like actual prints, film.
And then he sold them, right?
And that whole concept of going to different locations with the same thing.
So you have that consistency, but it's also different, right?
So I really like that aesthetic, and I wanted to apply it to my photography.
And I was like, what if I do like a northern exposure take take right so um that's what I did up in Fairbanks I took this piano basically long story
short I um I managed to finish the project in three days and I hit basically eight different
I think it was actually nine technically I hit like three different locations every day for the
straight three days and every day was something a little bit different, right?
So it's like I created this series of work and I was like, oh, cool, cool.
I want to mint these, right?
I want to put them up on the blockchain.
I wanted to see if I could try to sell them, right?
I minted them on OpenSea, I remember.
And they literally just sat there, fam.
I didn't do any marketing. I't i didn't do i didn't
promote i i wasn't even really into spaces at the time i think this was like back in 2020 2021 right
so i was like okay well i i i magically thought some tech that like if i if i minted this on
open sea people just you know come in and just buy it and have to market. But, you know, that's not necessarily true, right?
Like a lot of things were selling back then, but like, it seemed like the more accomplished
artists had more of a following, right?
Like they had more of a community.
And at the time, I didn't have a community.
I was just getting started crypto.
I was like, you know, they don't need to know me.
They just see these photos of fall in love, they'll mint these, you know, these piano photos, whatever. So,
you know, to say all that, fam, it definitely starts with awareness, just not awareness towards
others, but awareness to yourself of like, hey, what is, you know, what is marketing as an artist?
How do I do it? Like, it's not just like you're talking to a few people here and there. It's like,
hey, you know, buy my stuff or buy my shit or whatever, you know.
But it's more than that, right? Because it's like it's way more interesting for someone if you ask them questions, right, of like what gets you interested in them versus they're interested in you and what you're doing, right?
So it's like that whole book of how to win friends and influence people, right? It's
like you have to be more interested in those people before they are interested in you and
what you're working on in the project and what you're trying to promote and sell out in the
ether, right? In Web3. So what I always like to think about Zonetech is the interest that I have in others.
And then I kind of get more of a trap if they're actually interested in what I have for them.
You know, my services, my products, right?
And if they are an art collector, then seeing what kind of art that they enjoy, right?
Asking those right questions.
I feel like a lot of artists, they don't ask those right questions, so they don't get those products sold because of it, right?
So that's all I had to say to that.
But yeah, that's kind of the intro, I guess, in my NFT art experience.
Currently, I think I've told you this, and I've told people in our past Catterday Spaces, fam.
So if you haven't been to our Catterday and chill spaces definitely check those out those are on saturdays i mean
caturdays right so that's at noon est tomorrow soft chill in that space i absolutely love that
space but i'm pretty sure last caturday space zone tech i talked about an nft project i'm working on
on object and i've taken lots and lots of photos
of these rescue kitties. So I volunteer, full transparency, I volunteer at a cat cafe down in
Panama City, Florida, and been volunteering at this cat cafe for close to a year, year and a half,
and decided to take a bunch of photos, you know, I'm a photographer, help build their social media,
blah, blah, blah. And I have all these images of all these amazing cats and I was like hey what if I mint these on
objects you know in Tezos because Tezos is nothing you know like Tezos I feel like a lot of ways
Tezos is like Solana you know but for artists right if you're an object you know if you're
part of that community and I was like I don't know what tezos is crazy american i don't know tezos
i guess a lot of artists or international artists artists like tezos just for the currency exchange
just because it's a lot more affordable than ethereum right and so i started to mint these
little cats on tezos and i haven't figured out what i want to do or how i want to promote them yet
but i i should probably mint a few more zone
tech. I seriously, I think I minted only like two or three. And I was like, I need like a full
series or collection or, you know, something like that, that I can actually bring to the table and
promote. But that's kind of what I'm currently working on. But I know zone tech, you've got a
lot of different architectural photography that you're using to incorporate into web three.
different architectural photography that you're using to incorporate into Web3.
And I'd love to hear more on that side of things of how you're incorporating them as NFTs and what
kind of utility you're bringing them. Because I think that's another very untapped market that
artists need to figure out as we're moving forward into Web3. It's like, not only is my art pretty,
not only can I sell it possibly, or maybe I can't because it's not
selling because people want more than just art, right? They want more of the utility. They want
more like maybe BTS or like a 30-minute consult, an art consult with you or, you know, something to
that effect, some more utility, something more that brings them more value, right? Like we talk
about value in the space. And so I'd love to hear your thoughts on that as well, Zontek. I'll give the mic back to you. So thank you.
Yeah, no worries. I like the fact that you brought up consistency. That's very key. If you're a new artist, you have to understand that people are not going to always be drawn to your work. They're not going to like maybe your styling.
They're not going to like how, whatever.
The point is, is that you can't necessarily get stuck on how can I try to make my project more likable to other people?
You have to be consistent for yourself.
So if you feel as though, for example, when it comes to your art,
if that's something that speaks to you, that screams to you, that's something that you personally enjoy and you find happiness in,
I highly, highly, highly recommend keep doing that because consistency is key.
And people may not be able to tap in now, but let's say a couple of months from now or a year
from now or even two years from now, somebody will tap in and they'll say, you know what,
this is actually pretty incredible
So I really like the fact that you brought up,
hey, listen, when I first started in the space,
excuse me, I didn't have collectors
or I didn't have a community per se
to actually buy into my art.
But because of my consistency over the years,
I have built such a following
and I've built such a collective
where now, you know, I can feel comfortable enough to put out and push out my art. So I
really do like the fact that you was able to really speak on that. Now, in terms of what,
what I focus on, kind of similar to you, I was actually a part of a really big NFT photography project back in 2021.
It's Justin Avarsano's Twin Flames.
It grossed over $40 million.
And I saw someone who was in close proximity who was able to leverage off of making money off their art being in galleries being in
Christie's being in all of these different museums all of these different places and I was like oh my
god that is what I wanted to so um I still have that to say I struggled a bit with my art um
because again uh photography is great but like a lot of the times, you know, a lot of people, they look at a building and they're like, okay, it's a building.
Like, I don't get aroused or I don't get any type of excitement from it, maybe, you know, that you would get from it.
So I learned over the past couple of years of different ways to manipulate and really challenge myself.
different ways to manipulate and really challenge myself. I think that's another thing too.
I think that's another thing, too.
As artists, you have to be able to challenge yourself with different mediums, different
playing around with different functionalities and stuff like that to really learn how to hone in
deeply into your art. So then this way you are able to create something that is a signature to yourself or that just goes back to your branding
and it takes time like I didn't find my art like right away it took years I've been photographing
buildings since 2015 I'm finally getting recognition for some of the works that I have
that I photographed back in 2015 so I say all this to say you know having that consistency and being really strong-willed when it comes to your art
that's what's gonna allow you to grow and blossom and it's gonna manifest
into a reality that you didn't even think possible because you really focused
on on that aspect but um but yeah definitely when it came to my art, um, and just really trying to figure out how to market it, um, I had a couple of hurdles, but it was also good too, because I always appreciate their journey.
recognition, but sometimes it's good just to enjoy, you know, seeing it grow and blossom and
really experience the journey. So then when it actually comes into fruition and it comes into
something that you can actually appreciate, you appreciate it more because you was able to reflect
back. So, so yeah, that's like kind of like my
spiel but i actually had a question for you um and also to anyone in the audience if you would
like to come up and speak um this is an open space we are always open to people um coming in and just
being able to to share their experience and really talk about how they've, how web three has affected them or if they're newer to the,
to the space, what they're expecting. And the whole nine,
I wanted to know from you do, how did you leverage, for example,
how did you leverage Tezo and object and all of these other marketplaces for you
to finally, I guess, feel comfortable to say that you like this particular marketplace?
Great question, Zontek. Appreciate you.
And I just want to echo what Zontek said earlier.
Yeah, please come up, request the mic.
You don't necessarily have to be an artist, but if you want to join in the discussion, you know, that definitely brings more value to this space.
So thank you so much, everyone, for being here.
Again, make sure you're retweeting, liking, tagging a few friends and comments on the space, you know, re-quote tweeting, all that good stuff.
And then Zone Tech, I'm trying to remember.
What was the question you had again?
Oh, how I got started with Dezos and stuff. You know what? I actually was doing an art show on CryptoFam Radio a few months ago with a few other artists that I
interviewed in the past. And I asked them, hey, if I did like a roundtable kind of art thing that
we kind of helped people understand the NFT marketplaces, how they work. It was specifically
just one artist of mine who actually isn't here
today. I've invited her though, and she was under the weather. I think she had COVID or something,
she said. But anyway, I'll try to follow up with her again. But she basically helped me out,
right? So it's like she made me more comfortable on these platforms, on these NFT marketplaces,
and made it not so scary, right? So it was almost, it went
along the lines of, you know, us just DMing each other back and forth. If I did not understand
something, I just DM her and she's like, oh, you got to do this. I'm like, okay, you got to get
this wallet. Okay. You got to connect it here. Okay. You know, it's like, oh, this is where you
mint, you know? So I had to almost get a walkthrough through, you know, an artist to help
me understand, especially when it came to object, right, because I don't know, especially when it
came to Tezo, so I'm like, this is not Solana, what's going on here, but you know what, I figured
it out, you know, and it's not, it's not that hard initially, yeah, there's a little bit of a learning
curve, but if you can get over that, and if you can find someone that you can ask questions to
in case you need help, like I did,
you know, an art friend, it definitely
definitely goes a long way, so anyway,
big shout out to Tricky in
the space, he just requested Mike, how's it
going Tricky, GMGM, happy, happy
DeFi Space Donkeys, powered
Get yourself a bag of weed.
I'm a photographer, too, and nobody knows.
It's an underappreciated skill now that there's AI all over the place.
But that also lends to having more fun with it, too.
Is he rugging or is it just me?
I know, yeah, Tricky is a great photographer as well.
Everyone's a great photographer, all right?
I'm just going to throw that out there.
Everyone who's got a phone, you are a photographer now. Every time you post something, you're automatically
a copywriter. You know, like you got to think about how you're promoting yourself, right? And
these amazing images out here in the abyss that people see just for a second, they like it,
then they move on, right? It's like, how long did it take you to take that photo? You know,
and it's just, I don't know. Part of me is like, oh, photography has been so devalued, right? Like, it's so easy
now just to take whatever. But then at the same time, you're like, well, that is a pretty epic
image, you know? And he took that off his phone. Oh my gosh. I wonder if he can mint that, you know?
Like, I'd buy an NFT of that, you know? So, I don't know, Zontag. I got feelings, you know,
not grew up, but like studied photography as well, and ran a wedding photo business for seven,
eight years, you know, it's just, it's interesting how photography has come so far, right, and to
the point where it's just like, yeah, I'll just take a shot off my phone, and then that's it,
right, we have all these thousands and thousands of images living on
our phones now and devices and like how many do we actually print and put on the wall and displays
art you know not many that's for sure but i don't know it's just it's an interesting concept uh
anyway we're gonna try to get tricky back um see if we can get what he was talking finishing of tricky you there fam i think he's back
it's tricky buddha from d5 space donkeys powered by weed on solana get yourself a bag of weed i
gotta do it um i went ahead and posted up uh some raw photographs up top which i don't know if they
went up there or not um but i've got some i always ask
people like which one's raw which one's edited which one's ai uh just to kind of mess with
people because they're now everyone's already thinking in that mind like that mind you know
space of ai so here it didn't show apparently now it should work um but yeah so check them out
there's there's four pictures up there um and i And we're just going to cut to the chase.
They're all raw, unedited photos.
Some of them more than others.
I don't see it up on the Jumbotron.
I think I see something pop in.
Wait, so these are all raw photos that you took?
Yeah, those are all raw photos I took with my iPhone. With your iPhone. Okay. No filter, no edit, no nothing. Those are cool. Yeah, they kind of
look like AI. Yeah, the mushroom patch is from Disney World, so that's kind of cheating,
right? The one at the top right is from this trippy place in Vegas that had some laser
lights in. I didn't think it would come out in the photo, so I just took it, and it came out great.
And then the bottom left is a bouquet of flowers for my wife for her birthday,
which are like tie-dye, what's it called? Orchids.
And then the other one was just a really random but well-developed flower that was misplaced.
That one's called Stop and Smell.
I actually give it to people for their birthday and stuff.
People who are just down, like, hey, it's a free something I can send to somebody.
Just stop and smell the roses, appreciate the small things.
And it's not that serious.
You should mint them on objects.
They are actually, so the mushroom patch is part of the 10,000 limited edition collection.
I use that as a raffle ticket for my raffles, and the other ones are all part of the, oh,
and so is the stop and smell.
That's also a 10,000 limited edition collection.
So there's 10,000 of those. They started off at like one polygon, and they've the Stop and Smell. That's also a 10,000 limited edition collection. So there's 10,000 of those.
They started off at like one polygon,
and they've just been creeping up.
No, there it goes. It's gone.
Sometimes that happens to me, too, you know.
I'm pouring something like making multiple things right now.
Oh, multitasking will do that too.
Nice to meet more photographers though.
So are you on, you said you're on Object or are you just recommending Object?
Because these are all basically on Polygon right now.
Yeah, yeah, I'm on Object.
Yeah, I have a few minted little kitty nfts on object awesome yeah the i have a link somewhere
see if i can find the link post jumbotron for you guys so you can kind of see that
do it let's share it out yeah that's on my other account. But that's cool, Tricky. So are you, I'm curious, do you mint anywhere else or just Polygon mostly for your art?
Where else have you minted your art then?
There's been Mainnet Z, which was like, it popped up as a layer one solution for a little bit.
I don't know what the hell's going on with them.
I paused the mint on that one though and
where was the other one there was another like random chain oh I think we
did something on like it was uh it was like it was through like I'm trying to
remember what what chain it was it was something I found through coinbase
because they let you they were letting you mint stuff for free like free free drops from Coinbase I forgot
what chain that was on but I put a couple pieces on there but nothing
serious I didn't even like really tell anybody about it I was just kind of
experimenting like back in the day but yeah mainly I'm on Polygon for the
like the DeFi space donkeys and for my my other art and photography the super
rare singles is that one on the bottom left. There's only like 15 of those, the different photographs.
And the floor is at 1.69 ETH.
You can post anything up on the Jumbotron you want with your art trick.
So, Zonetech tech i want to get back to
you you've been kind of quiet a little bit uh you said you are wanting to diverse different
blockchains you were mentioning earlier you are on xrp and you're looking at solana
zone tech what's holding you back from minting on solana? I mean, it's nothing necessarily holding me back. It's just more so
of just time. Like, you know, you have so many, it's again, it's so many different blockchains
and it's just taking the time and converting and, you know, setting up certain wallets. So it's just
more so of time of actually having to allocate towards that. But yeah, first off, I was looking at your,
Tricky, I was looking at your photos. These are super amazing. It's so amazing to see other
people's eye. And I think when it comes to photography, that's what's so beautiful is that
everybody has a certain eye and they have a certain way of how they capture what they're seeing and what they're feeling. So I think these are actually amazing.
But yeah, I mean, I'm, I'm on X server. Oh, sorry. Thanks. It's, it's cool to like meet other people
who have like the, you know, other kind of eyes or, you know, doing photography because you're
right. Like everyone's got a different perspective and you can kind of like lock it in.
There's some people out there that do some crazy stuff
that I've seen like when I'm on like nature trails
or like hiking and stuff like that
and they're setting up their camera and everything
trying to get like the perfect shot
of like the sunset and everything.
I'm not patient enough for that,
but if I see something cool,
I'll snap a picture and turn it into an NFT pronto.
So what's your favorite, like, medium?
Or not medium, but, like, your favorite subject, rather.
Tech comes from, excuse me, Architect.
So when I bridged that together, I was like,
this is like perfect. But, um, yeah, I, I believe, you know, when it comes to photography, again,
like however you feel and you're feeling towards it is something that's so beautiful because you
get to see people's stories. And I'm, I'm a huge advocate for tell your story because telling your
story is allowing people and, um, the audience to see more into what you
are trying to display so I think that's incredible.
I started off in like the first photographs I was taking that I was really into was actually
architecture because I took like automated drafting and like I remember I designed like a mansion in one of the classes but I really
like like design and stuff like that so whenever I find like very cool trippy like geometric art
or certain buildings that are just amazing I'll take a photo. It's usually like forced perspective
to make it just look really trippy but I mean there's not like old buildings in America so
it's mainly just like trippy geometric patterns that i mean there's not like old buildings in america so it's mainly just like
trippy geometric patterns that i happen to find that's awesome fam yeah uh see we got a new speaker
in the house got chum wizard what's going on fam tgif how's life what's going on everybody i'm
doing good i'm actually just here chilling waiting on my fiance
while she's in physical therapy just you know enjoying a lovely friday morning i figured that
i'd hop in and say what's up um appreciate you being here fam yes chum wizards it's about breaking
into blockchain art curious uh are you an artist of any type?
And have you minted NFTs on any chains that reflect your art?
Or I'm not sure. Yeah, Chumwizards, are you an artist? I don't know, bro.
Yeah, yes, I am an artist. I do multiple different things.
I'm mostly on ETH, but i have done a couple different things on
like polygon um cool and i've have i done anything i've done object and i used to do a
drip house back in the day i've heard of drip house yes i never got into it but they're still
rocking i think i see drip something going on hopefully yeah they still
they still have their community going um what was it earlier this year they actually were purchased
by a new company so they've kind of taken a slightly different direction um from where they
were before but yeah no there's still a strong community over there as well very cool no i
haven't i haven't checked into drip yet yeah I've been on their website I like what
they got going on I like the vision but I just feel like it's just too small you know it's like
it's so small but maybe I just haven't looked into it maybe it's bigger than I think it is but
but zone tech are you familiar I'm just curious you, like you say you come from XRP, which is amazing. And they have their own NFT marketplaces.
I believe it's XRP.cafe, right?
Something to that effect.
So I know you're saying time, time earlier.
Yeah, time is of the essence for sure.
But I feel like if we set a priority, you know, what would it take, Z Tech, to get you on Sol, even like launch my NFT.io, which is a of your photos and mint them as NFTs on, let's say, launch by NFT.io?
Like, how long would that take you to do or how much time would you need allotted to make that happen, fam?
I like how you're putting me on the spot dude you know I told you already it's um
I I don't know to be quite honest it's not that I don't want to join it's just
it's hard to again allocate time towards that because um I just have so much on my plate. Like, um, uh, just so you guys, you know, you guys know in the So it's been very difficult for me to join these
different blockchains and stuff like that, because I have to set up, you know, the wallets, like I
said, set up the time. And then I also have to figure out what particular project and what,
what's the concept that I want to basically place on each of these different blockchains.
what's the concept that I want to basically place on each of these different blockchains.
But I have a feeling before this year's up, I will definitely be on Solana, launch my NFT,
Tan, and all of these different. So just give me just give me a couple of months.
And, and I'll be there. So.
All right, fam, not to put you on the spot, but yeah, that sounds reasonable, right? That timetable definitely sounds more reasonable.
So I'll hold you to it, the end of the year's on tech, and we'll see how you go.
And then we'll just reassess, you know, I'll ask you that follow-up.
Two, three months to go-ish?
So, you know, so you know no pressure no pressure but yeah i appreciate uh
the time and energy that you put uh into uh you know supporting crypto fam radio but also with
your artwork and xrp three weeks i forgot yeah that's um that is pretty quick fam like three
weeks you're doing a lot in three weeks so definitely appreciate you being here in zone tech
a big shout out to all the listeners.
New listeners just joining us.
This is Breaking into Blockchain Art, episode two.
And we got Stormborn in the house as well.
Big shout out to Stormborn as well.
Yeah, hopefully it comes back.
If not, we'll re-pop it up again.
I was going to ask a question.
What is the right pronunciation
Oh, it's Zoney. Sooni okay cool cool cool um when you're when you're first like starting out um getting the
right amount of followers and getting the right exposure is like one of the hardest parts oh yeah
so there's but there's a couple platforms that are like more active than others where
they'll kind of like advertise for you. So when you're like at first, you know, a coming
up artist, you know, independent artists or something like that, or don't have a team,
that can be really huge because a lot of artists don't have time to market themselves, right?
That's not their, that's not their expertise. So if you're interested in doing something like that,
there's like crypto magazine, for example, is one of my connections.
And they have a platform that's a liquid NFT market.
And they take like a big percentage, like 10%.
You get 50%, you get 40% and then the other 50% is locked into liquidity.
So it can't go below what you lock it in as.
So imagine this though the
market's ramping up at the at the peak of the market you sell it and you lock it in at that
value market pulls back you can just liquidate your nfts through that platform and take that
money that cash money back and it grows with every transaction on the platform not just your
collection and they market for you so i've had a couple friends that are photographers
or artists that don't really have any other collections out.
They're relatively unknown.
And that's been really good for them.
But there's a lot of communities
that are getting bigger like that too.
But that's just like one for example.
I think also the other thing is submit your work
Like I got a photograph of a chipmunk
that photobombed me when I was trying to take a picture
So I submitted it for Art Basel as a self-portrait
It was like four years ago.
So you never know unless you try.
Try to get into those festivals,
those any kind of things you can.
Just apply for everything. because you'd be surprised.
A lot of things just don't, people don't apply for them.
They think, oh, I'm not going to get it.
And they just don't even try.
So like just if you try. Thank you.
