We can have a chat instead while we get people joining.
Hey, Stefano, how are you doing?
Nearly Christmas, so I can't complain.
I think we'll give it a minute or so and let some more people join in and we can get started.
london and it's significantly colder like scarily cold i've gone from uh 15 degrees and sunny to
a lot less than that so acclimatizing at the moment that's funny yeah shortly after the
holiday i'm gonna head up to norway and sweden so i'm trying to figure out how big of a jacket i need
here yeah i think uh definitely a big one but it should be beautiful maybe some snow as well
quite cool i've just come back from six weeks in mauritius so probably i've had my fair share of
holiday there you go well just let you know the baltics are actually balmy right now it's probably
two degrees c which is really warm for this area in the baltics so you never know if in a week's time
and that could all change you'll be back to snow again i like how you qualify two degrees c as a
above warmer weather oh yeah here that is in this time of year that's like heat waves people
running around in shorts yeah because normally it's below zero like all the time day and night so
awesome all right um i think we can probably get started
let's roll well i i wanted to personally thank uh fiat and everybody on stage prohibition
arts dow uh for the opportunity to co-host and to really help guide some of the conversation
really looking forward to hearing more about the reveal stefano you know really have always
loved the art uh and really looking forward to to hear more about the process and really continuing
the conversation from what we had earlier on so real quick short introduction my name is jared
underscore pause i co-host the collector's corner podcast on stage we have uh individuals from the
fiat pass and we'll get into more about that prohibition and arts dow so if we could do a quick
introduction i guess we'll start with all of the the individuals from fiat pass if you want to
do a quick round robin and a short introduction of yourself yeah absolutely i can i can kick us off so
um yeah elliot um part of the fiat pass team i head up the strategy side of things and yeah
awesome to to be on um spaces today and chatting to everyone i think yeah super exciting chapter for
everyone in the in the fiat pass and single center community with with the big art reveal so yeah
can't wait to get into it
yep i'm uh alan uh thank you guys for joining us this evening um i handle creative mostly on the
fiat pass project um so obviously the art reveal and the art side of things is really close to my
heart and very excited to be here this evening
hi guys my name is batuan you probably know me as just saint on discord so i'm the community head for
fiat pass and it's a pleasure to have you guys here so i will be silent on the sidelines for the
most part but you probably know me as obi-wan kenobi thank you so much
that's awesome stefano we'll save you the best for last here no offense to anybody else jordan you
want to lead the prohibition team sure i'm not offended at all stefano's the best uh hey everybody
great to be here jordan lyle founder and ceo of prohibition uh open generative art platform on
arbitrum we're big fans of the fiat pass um program and we've partnered with them to
launch something special uh that we'll that we'll get into in a bit but uh we're also
we're also doing the santa.fm promo with fiat pass and a few other communities and that's been fun
been a fun community program so uh we'll talk about maybe we'll get a chance to talk about that
but check out santa.fm to participate in the holiday nft gift exchange yeah i just want to say
like awesome initiative really hats off it's uh it's great so yeah we'll definitely be chatting about
that show awesome was there anybody else from your team there jordan
um as far as speakers i don't think so i know john o is manning the prohibition
um account do we have room to bring him up bring up the account if uh if not no worries
for sure i'll bring him up and then while we're doing that uh anybody from the art style account
that wants to introduce themselves sure hi my name is anas and uh i'm the one of the co-founders
of art style um i don't know but we lead one of the largest web 3 nft communities out here in the
middle east we're based in dubai last year we were raised about 1.5 million uh through our sale of
nfts to create a dow that collects art so we love generative art we have um a lot in we have a some a
bunch of art block stuff we have two punks apes just a collection of different things uh we lead a
lot of web 3 movements and events out here in dubai so we've done stuff with solana we've done stuff
with ripple we've hosted gary v and we have our own festival uh art style fest which we hosted early
this year we had about 3 000 people attend with representatives from the pudgy penguins um the board
apes a lot of punk people all guys in the punk so yeah we're all about leading web 3 from a cultural
side out here in the middle awesome and uh save the best for last the man of the hour stefano you
want to make a quick introduction sure thank you and uh definitely not the best among all these people
um stefano uh generative artists uh known proudly for uh some projects or artworks like fermenty um
honored to be the artist behind the cinquecento drop and also the part of the jury for the prohibition
ex-fiat uh uh contest or to better say curation
awesome so so why are we here we're here to celebrate
cinquecento and the partnerships and really what i would say are pioneers who are looking to take
not only art but you know something close to my heart uh generative art to a broader appeal and in the
partners here between stefano prohibition arts dow and fiat pass i think are really exemplifying that
i guess elliot the first question out the gate is for those who don't know fiat pass what is
fiat doing for the web 3 space yeah absolutely i can i can dive into that i'll try and not
i've talked too long about it because uh i know we have some awesome content to get into but um
firstly to say just massive thanks to to jared yourself and also you know collect this corner for
hosting this i think you guys do awesome stuff and it's great to have you you here um and yeah i think
where to start so about it was about a year and a half ago now we we made the trip over to tour and
start to speak to fiat about the web 3 space and uh the power that it can bring and over that time
we've been building really a way of thinking about a new standard for you know deeper brand loyalty and
creating new vehicle ownership experiences and you know uh you know right off the bat there's obviously
a massive creative side to that about thinking how can we bridge the gap between automotive and
generative art and in a really meaningful way and so fiat pass can really be thought about as
this kind of overarching umbrella of all fiat's web 3 initiatives and the fiat pass is also directly
itself a collectible so a month ago we launched the fiat pass and that's a free digital membership
cloud it's a soulbound token dynamically up dating as people interact within the fiat ecosystem and
i can really be thought of your id uh within the community and really what it does it unlocks rewards
uh and benefits and experiences as you um interact in that ecosystem we had uh 55 000 people claim it
um which was the gen gen one max supply in just 24 hours so amazing success and great to have so many
people involved in the community and um you know that's really just the start we've already seen um one
of the first collections have been relaunched which is Cinquecento which actually was all connected to the
the launch of the new 500e red in the us and really that all came about because the brand was thinking
well how can we really create new vehicle ownership experiences that make a step change compared to what
we've seen in the industry so far so the Cinquecento digital collectible um was launched at the beginning
of december and when purchased it unlocks a whole range of products and experiences in relation to the
500e but really importantly these experiences are both things you can get digitally but also physically so
not only was it groundbreaking in automotive for you being able to um purchase the Cinquecento and
that unlocking you uh the first access um to be able to then purchase the vehicle also get things like
credits from free to move which is also part of the Stellantis group so you're able to drive around
in your 500e in the us and europe um but also other things that um were massive including the art
space and we'll get into that and uh we still have the the mint live so you can go to fiatpass.io and
get your um Cinquecento and we're gonna um talk more about the art so i won't i won't dive into that but it's
one of the most exciting um components and is uh really incredible what Stefano has put so we're super
excited to reveal that during the session today um we also have as we'll get to um you know uh within
fiat passing the initiative a lot of what we're doing is around the generative art space with massive
believers in it um that's why we've partnered with you know the best people in the space prohibition
having art style here is amazing so it's really uh i guess um thinking about how can we um bridge
a gap between automotive and generative art and really empower artists that are in the generative
art space to create amazing work around the theme of dolce vitae and we've had some amazing artists
that are involved in this in this uh showcase already we're very privileged to have some of them
here today as well and uh yeah we will dive into that um component soon i'm sure brilliant and i
had to continue off the generosity i forgot to mention this at the top of the show but fiatpass is
going to be giving away three of the Cinquecento nfts so just go into the discord uh since attending
here you can go and fill out a zealy quest and enter the raffle officially so i mean that's pretty
pretty pretty incredible that anybody here and listening a simple simple quest and you know just
hopping in the discord in contributing to that community could really you know benefit you just
by getting some free art so thank you to fiatpass for for that generosity it's pretty pretty incredible
what you guys are doing and that's actually probably the perfect segue to alan i know art and in
particular generative art is a huge part of the project for a Cinquecento um and the whole artistica
initiative can you give us a little bit more detail on the creative components for the project sure yeah
it's um it was really interesting because fiat as a brand themselves have supported the arts um throughout
their history so for many decades and um the art and culture specifically you know the creative side with
physical art but also music um and as a part of design for vehicles for example so they've been
very heavily involved for a long time it's part of their dna and um they pose the question of you know
how do we include and it was actually originally more about music and we kind of spent our time really
considering and thinking about how we would wish to provide really the artistic component and also a really more
collectible nature of things which is less easy with music for example um so from that perspective
we we again said okay what are the challenges we are looking to provide people with not just a piece
of art that everyone has the same piece but each piece needs to be absolutely unique um very difficult to
do in the real real world and within that of course you know generative art is the kind of audio
ideal solution and it's very much aligned with web 3 which is more about creative creativity through
code so we felt that that was a really strong play we spent a lot of time um actually an awful lot of
time at the very early stages of the project to really kind of understand generative art more
where it originated from um which is you know kind of the early 2000s
kind of more originating from doing things with very small bandwidths for example you know using
javascript and stuff and then how that's progressed into a whole genre category of art by itself and
that got to be really excited um it's forward thinking it's innovative and it really ties well
into what we're trying to achieve overall plus the art giving achieving the goal of being able to kind
of gift every nft owner a holder you know a unique piece of art and of course we've got big visions as
how we bring that into the real world and now we can actually expand upon that far more so from that
perspective we talked to some kind of um you know more names in the space we spoke to people that
were up and coming we bounced from a competition we went in all different directions to try and figure
out and understand the space and how we could be most effective and provide the greatest value
basically to the community and that's where the um the generative art came into play and then
obviously we want to wrap that creatively creatively around the brand in some way so um not so literally
to do it in a very creative way that means that the art has lots of differences right so it's always
unique there are some that are similar to others but they're also unique in their own way and i think
that was a really important part of the sincrocento um nft specifically and uh that's where we got into
discussions with stefano and um he really rose to the surface he's italian obviously and that wasn't
a defining factor um it just happened that way but he really embraced what the dna of fiat is
um and creatively how to approach that and produce um art of value that we believe is going to be
highly collectible um within itself and i think that was another part of this was we didn't kind
of let me explain fiat is a brand of colors so anything that's really dark is not really something
they like however in going through the collection there are some very dark pieces in the background
which to me it's my taste and it makes the art pop but there's not so many of those so
they're highly collectible and that was the whole point of this collection was to make it
a collectible piece for people that have not just one but multiple sincrocentos
so i love that i love how fiat's leading into degenerative art i know you guys have been
pioneers of the art space in general and this is really you know i think in my opinion pulling it
forward to to potentially a new broader and bigger uh collective and i think that that's really cool it's
i think something something that all of us up on stage are committed to so i applaud you guys uh
and the entire fiat team for having that sort of progressive vision i do think that i'm looking
forward to hearing more about where this goes because i feel as though there's a lot of potential
and you guys are starting to scratch the surface of that within you know the the marriage of a
physical and digital space so kudos to you for digging in and having that vision and that's
probably the perfect time to bring up stefano who who is the creator of the artwork as you talked about
and he has such an esteemed background in the general art space i guess stefano could you give us
a bit of background on yourself and the relationship with fiat and maybe the process of how you got to uh
uh to the partnership sure absolutely uh so let's start by saying that uh generative art is my passion
and i i feel blessed by uh turning that passion into something i can do every day and share with the
work and uh in general uh i started like merging the two words i'm very passionate about the first one
is coding and the other ones like visual arts and creativity in general and when i kind of found this
perfect merge i fell in love with the craft and practice for a lot of time maybe a lot of you
already uh listen to the story but then art looks gay kind of changed my life with also many other
generative artists and brought uh generative art uh um alive again and give it like a space especially
in the blockchain and so on and i was super excited when uh fiat approached me and uh and kind of said okay
let's take generative art from this niche and try to expand it and share it with the larger world
as uh being italian uh it was very interesting proud and then when they mentioned as well this
cinquecento collection for the launch of the the fiat cinquecento in uh in the u.s i was even more
excited because i happened to drive the car uh since a while uh it's already launched in italy probably
from since a year and it's such a fun and easy car to drive and uh kind of finding love and i felt
like that was the perfect match so we started talking together and uh this kind of dolce vita theme
uh and how we could take this kind of fiat dna and brand that they can make it generative so after uh
some talks and some uh kind of exchanges uh uh the inspiration kind of arrived to me uh especially to
taking uh let's say a lot of the colors that i was mentioning earlier a lot of the poppiness that we
see in the fiat brand and try to to make it feel alive uh connecting as well to what la doccia vita
is which is something a bit different to explain if you don't experience it and sometimes movies try to
recreate that in a very special way which is basically just enjoying life whatever you enjoy life
that's a lot of changes like being present in the moment it's something very italian very uh part of
my persona as well um what else to say fiat of course has always been part of my life i think i
mentioned this before to the team and uh the very first that car i got into when i was born it was a fiat
as many probably italians and i learned to drive on a fiat and so on and uh so i i was born in the
90s and i feel on the artwork you can tell that because one of the things i tried to do this artwork
was to to merge kind of the nostalgia i had from the 90s with the fiat logo which was like this
beautiful chevron you could see everywhere with the kind of present and how fiat kind of ran equal
during time and how it kind of went back to to the origin with this uh iconic shape which is
definitely present the let's say the the main actor of the artwork
so i i love this and i love the the connection to the brand and how it emerges from kind of like
your your entire upbringing and i have to be honest not being italian but having done a lot of business
in italy it's one of the cultures i've most assimilated with because of the passion and you
use that phrase enjoy life do you mind if we like double click on that a little bit to just kind of
share maybe how that inspired the collection a little bit further absolutely uh so enjoying life
i think as uh as italians we we literally uh spend a good chunk of our waking hours trying to optimize for
this thing we are very passionate about anything we do but there are some rituals some tradition that are
very present in our life i think uh even though i don't drink coffee uh coffee is the perfect example
it's very interesting that fiat and the fiat community has a channel on the discord sharing the
morning coffee that's the perfect example of the the bullshit that you just take your time your kind of
space to to have a pose and drink your coffee and enjoy that but it can happen in many other things
like one of my favorite activities especially on sunday is just walking around the city center
where there are no cars very little cars and then we just uh do window shopping and so on and that's uh
there's this kind of beauty in the moment of just uh everything feels at its place which is hard to to
tell the words but to me at least was a bit easier to to showcase in the artwork the artwork is a beautiful
explosion of colors and uh it uh kind of animates and show how it develops over time a final kind of
surprise that was like the the main inspiration also to to take a bit of this energy of like this
passion from from italy and fiat in general the fun part of driving the fiat and make it hard
i do have to say i i have italian culture to blame for a coffee habit that i have and then the
the phrase explosion of color man that that's absolutely true i uh i have an obnoxiously
blue pants uh that that resulted from a couple different um italy trips for business and and
just absolutely admiring the commitment to fashion to design to overall excellence so kudos to you for
being able to to bring that out and really help facilitate that for in collaboration with fiat i think
that that's really it's really important honestly to be able to be you know something i'm trying to
lean into more of a being authentic not only to yourself but to to your partners um i think that
that's a really admirable approach that you've taken to this project and speaking of which i guess
for elliot um you know what can since we've just heard about all this brilliant art what can the the
holders what can they expect um you know for for this art so um yeah i mean it's a very exciting time
um as you've just heard we we're lucky to have a phenomenal artist sefano um carrying out this work
and yeah very excited to announce it's it's now live so um every single center holder can go now um onto
open sea and see their artwork so um it's every person that owns single center has a completely
unique piece of stefano's art it's all around the same style and collection with different rarities
involved in there like alan mentioned around certain themes and colors that are involved so um yeah an
amazing time for for the single center holders in the fiat pass community a large um amazing to see
it live like we mentioned you can go directly to open sea just click on your your nfc and you'll be
able to see that come through and we've actually created some really nice graphics that kind of flow
directly from the art back to the original image which which looks phenomenal so really really excited
for you all to kind of get um your stunning art there which is which is amazing and what we've
also done is we've created a full gallery view so um you'll be able to see you can even see by
clicking on the uh tweet that we've just pinned to the top here there is a a whole gallery that's
been created as well so what you can see there is basically all of the different uh arts that have
already been minted so you can kind of see that that full collection that exists today so yeah uh do
go check it out really exciting to hear what everyone thinks and uh they're of course still still
live we've got an open mint kind of going on at the moment um particularly as we've got a lot of
web2 activations that are also taking place as well as on the web3 side so um yeah
not too late to get yours and yeah um excited to have this have this all live this is awesome yeah
this is the my most favorite part of generative art is when not only you get to enjoy your unique piece
but also you get to see how that fits within the the greater collection um it's just so brilliant uh
and this is gonna be fun to to scroll through it or for some time i will say um we are going to try to
allocate some time towards the end you know for questions so if anything my description of loud
blue pants or anything stefano or the team talks about is intriguing and warrants some further
questioning please write it down commit it to memory we're going to bring people up here in the next
15 to 20 minutes we definitely want to hear from you if you haven't heard or i guess kind of
interpreted from fiat very engaging we definitely want to to hear from each and every one of you
but i guess the the next question for alan is really about the fiat brand um you know how did you decide
to partner with prohibition to bring this to life and obviously with all the the initiative around
artistica and the brand's vision like what does this mean to you from an innovation perspective
yeah i think um in our kind of early time when we were really looking at the different options that
were available um art blocks prohibition they really came to the forefront of that and those discussions
were really engaging so from a partner perspective into the overall project we really felt comfortable that
um these guys really knew the business itself and the ability to be able to do this successfully
and but were really engaged also within the opportunities that existed with you know a major
brand like fiat um getting more involved in the artistic side of things from their overall proposition
and um yeah that led to you know kind of some experiments on our part um experimenting on how we can get
not only you know one awesome artists involved but how can we open this up to the community itself
right and scale uh fiat itself is kind of the brand of the people right what um i mean one of their lines
is to bring luxury to the masses right to make it affordable and to introduce and scale these things so
that's something that we considered very carefully and got very excited about you know the opportunity to do
artistica um give young and kind of up and coming artists the opportunity to kind of do some work
get that work into play and utilize fear to as a voice to really expand their reach um i think with
artistica for example everything is on the art artist side i mean fiat there's no fees there's no
revenue share there's none of that is involved in this it's purely about fiat as a brand
um helping artists to expand their voice you know on a more global scale which kind of fits into the
whole ethos of this this program is about bringing this and and to mass adoption basically yeah and i
think um this is a super exciting time for artistica so um artists have been getting involved we've got
some amazing artists that are part of it i definitely encourage you we've got a whole backlog some of
them we even shared uh already um in a in a post yesterday around around the showcase and who's
involved so it's a really really exciting time you've already seen this neat peek from some of
them so it's obviously all the idea is that all of the work that's being done is in that theme of
dolce vita so i know jordan will will chat more to this but it's great to be able to see more
generative art being done kind of in in that vein and obviously the whole reason and purpose of this is
so that we can kind of leverage our platform prohibition's platform to really shine a light
on all of the amazing work that's being done by these artists which will all be coming up in in
january so um that'll be taking place around mid january we have a curation process involved from
prohibition alan with the fiat pass team fiat themselves uh art blocks and then uh a big showcase
that's also taking place so yeah really exciting time over this over this next month for for artistica
yeah i look forward to hear more about that and speaking of artistica jordan key speak to like
what maybe drew prohibition into the collaboration and maybe the your guys's aligned mission within the
digital space yeah certainly i really like what alan just mentioned um about fiat you know one of fiat's
goal is bringing luxury to the masses um it's very similar to the prohibition goal of bring bringing
generative art to the masses uh generative art on chain is is fairly new uh with art blocks in the
last few years you know fully on chain generative art um with the uh with the release of the squiggle
the chromie squiggle from uh from snowfro and and um just spent the last years just obsessing about
generative art as as have a lot of us and uh what's possible and how it's now interesting even more
interesting with uh with the blockchain um but uh these chromie squiggles are out of reach for a lot of
people a lot of people a lot of this work is uh is is priced out for for a lot of newcomers um i just
wanted a way to just kind of transfer you know my my passion for gen art and uh just just bring it to
so many more people um so we're using the uh the art blocks engine so we're building on top of this proven
tech uh we've just created an interface we we're creating this community that just makes it easier
and easier for people not only to just you know collect this stuff but also to create we i feel like
we have the best generative art tools uh around um and uh maybe um you know often missed is that
we're on we're on arbitrum which means uh instead of paying a bunch of money and gas to to deploy or
collect uh generative art nft on mainnet it's only just it's only a few cents uh so it really does
level the playing field um so yeah when uh we started talking several months ago about potentially
working with fiat pass and the team here um it was just kind of a no-brainer i i i
i think because it helps us to accomplish our goal of bringing generative art to more people
widening the the the audience here um and then bringing our artists uh work to the surface right
helping our artists tell the tell their story so it started out as a as a um as a competition um
but we quickly realized that we're uh you know given the legal rules in this country in the u.s
about contests and things like that it really limits this uh this accessibility that we try to preach
right so uh we we made some tweaks to make it as as open and accessible as possible and it's a really
exciting uh opportunity this artistica thing because it allows us to um it's like a gallery or a virtual
exhibit uh it's really like a call to artists to kind of create something that embody those fiat um that
that vision and those uh those you know brand elements and create work and the sink with center was a great
um great way to kick that off and a great uh you know bar to set so to speak and um right now we've got an
an open call for artists that want to participate in the artistica project um and it's it's really
exciting to be a part of that as as prohibition um i'm just really looking forward to seeing what the
artists come up with yeah i have to say with with gas prices on the rise uh given the nature of kind of
the enthusiasm around the space right now i have to say it was really awesome i know when prohibition
came to be and you and i were talking about it offline you know to be able to scale on arbitrum
and and create a you know really a lower friction entry point to onboard people and especially with
what you've done uh on your own end it was really cool to see so kudos to prohibition for having that
foresight and being able to create this like hugely inclusive platform that allows things like this to
scale it was really cool yeah 100 and i think it's uh just to just to echo that i mean it's it's
a really big point being able to make it's something that you know anyone can do without thinking about
and it's really how we get to the point where we which you'd all like to at least from the fiat
side of course is is to make sure that you know uh we can get it into the hands as many people as
possible you'd have to make that kind of question around um gas fees but i think you know it's it's also
jordan i'd love to have you chat a little bit about santa fm as well because um it's another you know
great thing you've built the prohibition team has built and i think it's it's been awesome fun for
the fiat pass community as well so maybe you want to you want to chat about that quickly
yeah um this is something we did last year so so prohibition is actually uh built by the team at
venture punk that's that's my company that's the parrot company venture punk and we've been around for
about a year and a half now when the goal is really to experiment with nfts um obviously for
the last almost a year most of our focus has been on prohibition but uh one other product that we've
launched is santa.fm and we did it last year and we had this fun opportunity just based on the idea of
uh you know one one way to show off kind of what's possible what's unique with digital art and
specifically nfts is that this is all like programmable uh programmable distribution
programmable art so to speak uh so we had the idea of creating a you know decentralized gift exchange
using nfts we call it white elephant there's a lot of other names for it uh secret santa or whatever
you want to call it but the idea is you give an nft and then you get an nft so it's a really fun
community engagement um program where you know one person deposits an nft into the pool you come
back later and you get to unwrap a new nft and that's from something that was given from you know
another community member uh so yeah santa.fm actually right now uh is just kicked off the unwrapping
experience for proof we also partnered with uh the proof collective um we're launching one for prohibition
we're in the middle of that and then also for fiat so holders of the fiat pass can participate check
out santa.fm it's it's not really a money-making opportunity for us or anybody really just because
we're just swapping nfts um but it's just a fun way to kind of celebrate uh the holidays celebrate this
you know this community and uh it's just yeah it's just a lot of fun yeah jordan and i uh having
being part of the proof collective just casually seeing it you know there's been some very generous
uh gifts that were given i believe there was an x copy max pain that was contributed in there i've
seen a few uh low digit you know friendship bracelets and heart and craft so people are you know definitely
going into it with the holiday spirit so it was cool to see you facilitate that yeah um you're right
yeah kevin rose uh dropped a uh dropped the x copy in there last night uh lots of other really cool
art i dropped in fold into the proof and uh you know the prohibition side there's there's even sub 100
um heart and craft definitely some day zeros in there so it's really fun to see people put some really
valuable things in there uh last year um snowfro put it put a chromie squiggle into the pool so someone
someone walked away with the chromie squiggle so uh i think x copy so far takes takes the
takes the cake here but uh it is really fun to see see people you know get into the giving uh spirit
yeah no that's awesome speaking of the giving spirit edwood did want to transition to to elliot real
quick in the interest of time to to talk about the the artist's engagement and how if you're listening
to this either currently or afterwards like how can artists get involved yeah definitely so um
we have um i mean basically the best way to get involved if you're interested we've got one of the
pinned messages just at the top here um which explains the process but um basically the best
thing to do is jump into the discord we've got a load of information on on artist brief and um exactly
what the collections are about around the dolce vita theme and basically it's um aligned with kind
of everything that you probably will know already around the proliferation platform if not the team
are there to help you it's really just about creating art directly in relation to that dolce
vita theme and i think we've even got um i think one of the artists pixel boy um awesome great to have
you here mate and uh yeah i think um it would even be great to just hear from you um you know uh
what um yeah inspired you to be part of artistica it would be great to kind of hear a little bit more
about you know your passion behind the dolce vita side of things generative art and and yeah your view
on on everything that's happening with the fear passion initiative yeah sure yeah thanks for allowing me
to to speak um yeah i mean so my passion for generative art goes back um over a couple of years now
probably way beyond that really but in terms of how um a piece of art can resonate with the blockchain so
essentially um at that point if if you happen to be the person who minted at that point that's what
made that particular piece um so with that in mind i i love using um very sort of bright colors um and you'll
see that in in my work um one of the pieces that i made was was made on um prohibition the very day
that prohibition was um released so i uh created a drop that went in and actually um i put one of those
into the santa fm uh raffle so that's what someone might get one of those um but what i love is those
those bright colors and when i heard about what fiat was doing um it was just a perfect synergy really in
in terms of the use of um making something that really pops using that kind of dulce vita uh
spirit and and these sort of perhaps bright primary colors and uh and all that sort of
thing that that i'm really um interested in um it was a it was a great opportunity um so
yeah really looking forward to just showing us what i've got in in january
this is awesome yet another great partnership i've admired your work
uh for some time collector uh also quite honestly so this is this is awesome to to hear
about that inspiration actually this is i'll take a moment real quick to say if you're interested in
asking anyway anybody on stage a question please feel free to request we'll go into some general
discussion points uh at this point and if you're if you do want to ask a question raise your hand
request to speak and and we'll bring you up to to engage there um if you are on stage raise your
hands and we can we can stop to to take a moment but i i for for stefano and pixel boy really you
know the question that's kind of top of mind for me and then even like art style i'd be curious to hear
your guys role in this or opinion on this because it's you seem very very entrenched in the advancement of
the space but what role do you think brands have in in moving forward the generative art and just the
general art nft space more broadly are you are you asking me this or you and uh stefano i'd be curious
to hear everybody's opinion well i'm happy to share um because i've we've we've been lucky to work with
quite a few brands um in the web3 space uh but first before i go into that i just want to say that
what i what's being done by fiat here is incredible um i love the whole idea of making generative art
accessible at art style we are very big sort of supporters of generative art uh we have you know
math castles we have um you know squiggles i've got a squiggle right now in front of me um as an as a
sticker on my my mac i'm a big fan of that um we we have we're in gm dow so we got a bunch of uh
generative art from them uh general art is it's just absolutely amazing the most incredible ones
that i've probably seen is math castles if you haven't seen that you guys need to go and check
out math castles you know check out the what it's what is being built within that but anyway um on the on
the oh i also just wanted to say one more thing on on the fact that fiat you know being a major
automotive brand um i'm a car collector myself i haven't had the luxury to own a fiat but um i know
the fiat's part of the chrysler group and uh here in dubai we are big fans of maseratis so shout out love
the maserati um love i hope hopefully you got you know bring that to maserati in the future that would
be great um but what i want to say is on the brand part so here um at art style uh because of our sort
of there's nobody out here in the middle east really doing anything around web 3 in the same
way that we are from a cultural side so we've had the luxury of kind of being first market and as a
a result working with a lot of brands uh who are interested in web 3 because they're looking to
obviously onboard folks into their brand in some way right so we've had the luxury of working with
dolce and gabbana etihad airways i've personally advised visa and their board on web 3 strategy
i've worked as well with porsche because they're one of our execution partners um we've we've also
done work with puma and um and also mercedes we did something pretty incredible with mercedes
we fractionalized a a supercar here in dubai and sold them as chunks in nfts with each nft
representing um a month's use of that supercar and then at the end of the year um that car would be
sold with the proceeds going back to everyone it was a pretty interesting concept it wasn't executed
completely according to plan but it was people bought the nft it was great and the supercar did sell
but what what i will say is um what i think is great about all this stuff that you know different
brands are getting into the web 3 space and the web 3 space is a very sort of has traditionally been
very degen uh folks you know focused on decentralization um you know eth all that all
that kind of stuff um i think you know be like if i i think i saw a statistic that there's only about
2.6 uh percent of the population sort of in web 3 right now so that's a very small population
representing about 400 million people worldwide so you know web 3 isn't really going to move
the needle anywhere without going without working with major brands who have that influence right
because i think of my dad my dad is a big car collector um you know why would he care about web
3 um you know how do we how do we make those kind of folks interested in in web 3 he's interested
now he's because of the price action of bitcoin and ethereum he's asking me oh should i be buying
eth btc that's great but i'm i'm more curious to see how we can go you know beyond price action
into actual you know building like so so what what's being done right now here with fiat you know your
generative art which is uh a really beautiful concept hatched within i mean it's pre-crypto it's
hatched within code but you know it's become very very famous within crypto um and you're combining it
with art and the fiat brand and and you're making it very accessible as um as jordan mentioned right
a lot of generative art isn't exactly cheap um you know going for a squiggles 15 eth plus that's not
very accessible so you know i i think the the brands play a very important role in in bringing in
bringing better adoption um for for everyday users um if i think about the the casual lay person here
in the middle east who's aware of of crypto very much but maybe just needs you know in in in
the middle east in dubai in particular people are very brand conscious um they're very you know because
it's it's very much a big part if you've been here that that's going to be a key part in making
them even more curious about getting into the space right if they're seeing okay so with these
brands i'm understanding a little bit more about art i'm understanding a little bit more about this
this whole decentralized world which is outside this traditional system that that i'm a part of
i want to play and explore that culture it's beautiful in its own way so i think i think that
that to me strikes me as as the most most interesting um when working with brands brands as well
need to be part of this culture because this is the the sort of the degen cultures is connected to
millennials and the gen z's that are there are here right so my dad's generation right he's he's gonna
you know their time has passed my dad even said that to me he was like you know anas my time has
passed he's he was always pushing me away from crypto it was like why did that just come into real
estate or something and i was like no you know this is this is this something new it's going to take over
the world in a different way and maybe it's not for you but it's in a lot of the traditional bricks and
mortar stuff that was built by previous generations they're interested in in a digital and tech
technological world right a world defined by digital assets a world defined by sort of the attention
economy so so i think i think you know any brand that is not thinking about web 3 strategy in any
way it's making a big mistake so fiat kudos to you guys for taking that sort of step and moving forward
uh i think i think it's great and you know very happy to be part of the discussion here
yeah i don't think there's much to add to this amazing answer uh legitimacy from my perspective the
number one thing we need nowadays like scoping the the the kind of area we work on and bring
that to normal people who are still afraid with for crypto and as an artist for uh generative art
that can't wait for brand to leverage generative art in creative way um that we have still to see i
think a lot of art is a lot of wonderful ideas especially like generative manufacturing but it's very
hard to to kind of do those by ourselves uh but the possibilities are endless so as an artist i'm
super excited to see brands uh diving deeper into generative art to create and deliver very unique
and personal things to people
yeah i think that marriage between physical and digital is something especially with a big brand such
as fiat being able to integrate those two and ideally in a seamless fashion really really is going to be
part of the advancement for this space you know that that integration between generative art and
and physical is something that's like top of mind for me right now
elia did you have a question that you wanted to propose to the team
um well i think i think another really interesting i think just a view personally is like the intersection
more broadly just with with automotive specifically um i think there's a kind of really nice opportunity
here which is why you know again uh generative art plays a big role in in the fear pass project and
and what we're trying to do in this space and i think a lot of it comes from you know our world
becoming increasingly digital you have technologies like ar ai and blockchain but not just help to shape
virtual experiences but also defining physical ones and i think you know with this change vehicles i think
can really become a dynamic interface between these two worlds so the the physical and digital and
you know these technology happen uh you know advancements are also happening in the car space
as you know you've got vehicles uh you know not just you know bog standard and and i guess like you
know interesting things whether it's supercars or whatever they're becoming a lot more of a canvas for
digital expression and i think this synergy can help to really revolutionize how we perceive and interact
with automobiles and create a connection with the generative art movement and that's also why you
know fiat is thinking about this space because it really matches the values and vision of
generative art as well you know like alan said earlier you know fiat is known for accessible luxury
creativity it aligns perfectly with digital and the inclusive nature of generative art pushing the
boundaries both of physical and digital and i think this is also very much in alignment as to why we
you know chose prohibition you know fiat has this commitment to inclusivity it's it's the car of
the people and that absolutely mirrors no you know web3 ethos and prohibitions ethos and again going back
to the generative art piece making it affordable on a layer two further increases the ability to have
that inclusivity which we think is really important and for us and and this is going to become
increasingly you know transparent is that we don't just want these to be
synchrocentral holders having their digital artwork we all understand how incredible that is and how
unique that is but we also want this to be you know a digital and physical experience so that's not just
true for holders that all over the globe and want to be able to print it out have it on their wall or
maybe have it on their phone case but it's also about how can we create a more unique experience
for vehicle owners as well so we're facilitating the ability for people to be able to actually
take their generative art and be able to customize their car now whether that could be
a full wrap whether that's a partial wrap whether that's something inside the vehicle
these are all possible so that's something that we think is amazing and it would also further to kind
of shine a light to this space and that's why artistica is also such an amazing initiative
because it gives um yeah more of a light that's shined on um everything that's happening within
the general department that's so cool i can't wait for like a generative art piece to be minted
the second you buy your car and be able to go across the entire digital display i'm not throwing
out ideas for you guys but just saying i think it would be i think it would be very cool we'll add
it we'll add it to the backlog as we say watch this space because the the vision for the program is is
extremely aggressive and really far-reaching so yeah watch this space that's actually i mean i threw
it out there because it just seems like so so so late low-hanging fruit and i applaud fiat for even
thinking that way but actually you know to continue that question about like the importance of you know
big or recognizable brands such as fiat for the advancement of generative art what's uh do you have
any additional insight and so if i can answer that a little bit so one of the key things is um
kind of a two-pronged approach right we're we're approaching this from a web three perspective
we're looking at mass adoption we created a seamless way for web two natives to be able to
purchase an nft without having to get involved in the technology that sits in the background of all
of that but the other approach is from a vehicle perspective so what we've been in discussions with
and really looking at in great detail is how do we have or introduce and onboard
web two people web two natives into the digital space and i think generative art is one of the
ways that we see that that is possible so if you purchase a say a fiat 500e you're actually also
getting a synchrocento nft attached to that which means that buyer of the car if they come through that
doorway they are then introduced to a generative art and also they're introduced into the space right as
as we're looking for this mass adoption um that leads into all the other ideas where your vehicle
through its operating system through bluetooth um knows that you have a synchrocento in your wallet
and it customizes the car based upon your synchrocento and that's not only from an artwork or visual
perspective as we see dashboards becoming basically purely digital these days um but also from your
driving habits for example so how you drive you maybe even store kind of the the music that you
like is attached to your nft we see that as from a mobility perspective whether you buy a car lease
a car or whether using a car share service is that that customization can carry on with you through the
nft that you own and i think that's a pretty big vision i mean getting involved in car os systems is
like massive because they work pretty much five years ahead but these are all on the scope of of
this program and what we see from a vision perspective as to what's possible and what
we can do basically tied around the fiat bars as much as anything else
that's awesome i can't wait to hear more about what what comes out of that innovation from from fiat it
just the partnership makes so much sense the the individualization of an automotive
whether it's a supercar or your daily driver or if you're lucky enough i guess it could be both
you know and being able to to integrate the two into it with your your digital identity is
such a no-brainer such a no-brainer overall um i appreciate everybody's perspective i guess
what i would say is from pixel boy or stefano is there anything that uh you wanted to share about the
art in particular uh to showcase what you have going on and and what uh what this will look like for fiat
well uh mice i'm very excited to see all the all the submission for the prohibition fiat collaboration
um i've been wrapping my head around la dolce vita and fiat for a while so i got my very own personal
perspective that i i think uh uh now finally you can all see uh so far i guess only alan and i look at
all the all the outputs but i'm very curious how are the artists will interpret the thing
yeah um so mine's still i would say a work in progress it's um there's a there's basically one
last kind of avenue that i need to decide which way to go with the the algorithm um but what will
definitely come from me is a piece of art that that uses kind of really kind of bright colors perhaps
even sort of mediterranean style colors that that really kind of pop um and i don't want to sway
things too much because there might be other artists listening and i don't want to sort of
if if they're in their process of of where they need to go i don't want to say too much about what i've
got coming um not because they copy me but because i might put them off the the track of where they
need to go um but i from knowing and looking at some of the other artists who are listed in the discord
uh in fiat's discord um this there's definitely some some good things to be coming and uh i can't
wait for sort of early january to see what comes out yeah brilliant i can respect that uh that space
as a creative and wanting to be able to facilitate your own creative process so that's awesome i you know
i will say love your work so i'm looking forward to seeing additional outputs uh and maybe even some some
previews along the way i did want to just throw it back to anybody in the in the audience we will be
wrapping if there's no further questions did anybody want to come up and ask any questions of fiat jordan
for prohibition or or the artists um you know happy to facilitate that it's really really amazing
opportunity to be able to to hear from them and ask directly if you have any questions out there
i i see aj who's part of our community in the audience aj you should you should you should request
because he's worked in automotive before and he's uh aj request i think i'm sure you have some questions
yeah i just invited him up if uh i want to be respectful of people's space you know when you're
you're banging away on the keyboard at work and listening i've been there before so yeah and i
think i think while we're just waiting for that um i just want to also say just a massive thanks to
everyone who's joined today i think is an incredible step for the fiat pass community for single center
holders cannot wait i've already seen loads of people sharing across twitter and discord um their art
which is just yeah incredible um to see so yeah i hope we continue to see more of that and
yeah a big thanks to also everyone who's joined jordan prohibition team art blogs anas and marina
obviously stefano and pixel boy and all the other amazing artists that have joined so um great to have
you great to have you all here and uh yeah of course uh without a doubt jared amazing to have you uh
hosting again and collectors corner so thanks very much brilliant appreciate that uh it's a pleasure as
always this is fun in integrating and propagating generative art and especially great partners
such as prohibition fiat and art styles are no brainers in my opinion aj it looks like you you got
up here any questions i just for the panelists thank you and i i actually am at the gym so i'll keep it
brief but you called me out so i have to come up um quick question fiat will you be a part of the
art style fest in april i'll be coming for that i'd love to meet the team if you guys will be there
and yeah we're we're doing we're doing our best we'd love to be there okay great great great i'd love
to see you guys there and and i work for tesla solar so i'm more on the energy side but i love to see
the web web3 collaboration so um it's great to see this when when tesla web3 uh that's very hard uh i'm
i'm asking grok as we speak um that he's not listening to me but i'm doing my best so i'll let
you know we'd love to see you
awesome uh in the interest of wrapping up i'd like i always like to give everybody uh an opportunity to
to share some closing thoughts we can go with uh start with the artists uh any closing thoughts from
either pixel boy or stefano yeah i mean i'll go i just really wanted to say um what a great
opportunity it is um the the question was asked about um when brands link and and move into three
and actually i think one of the the biggest mistakes i've seen some brands do is to not
do their homework and not use the expertise um that's out there um you know web3 can be a pretty
scary place at times um if it's used properly and if you work with the the right sort of people
um then that then it's going to work fine and and uh so when i heard that you're you're working
with um you're on the art blocks engine with prohibition and and in generative rather than
in pfps and that sort of thing it's definitely um the right way to go so yeah really looking forward to it
on my side i'm very excited and happy to be part of this project thanks for having me thanks for
everybody and uh happy holidays yeah and for those who didn't pick up on it or maybe joined a little bit
late Cinquecento the mint is still ongoing so support everybody up here on the panel you know please go get
your piece uh if you've seen as elliot stated they're all live now on open sea so you can start
perusing the quite the collection start getting that emotional connection to it so you know kudos to
stefano for for the partnership and also putting your art out into the world it's a really really cool
to be able to peruse that so thank you for that jordan anything from prohibition you want to hit on
uh thanks jared thanks for having me uh this is a great chat love chatting with uh builders and uh
artists and um yeah we're just uh happy to participate in this overall program excited for
this ecosystem that the fiat team is building uh really looking forward to um not only everyone
collecting the Cinquecentos but all the artists that are participating in artistica and uh yeah
really looking forward to uh um exhibiting um so much more great art awesome and art style any uh
parting thoughts i loved your wisdom i want to give you more of a more of a platform here because this is
this is a powerful information well thank you i'm uh humbled by your kind words i i all have to say is
you know it's great to to see more folks entering the space from the sort of you know non-web3 side
so very proud to see i'm very proud to also be on stage here to be able to support fiat um making the
move into web3 um piece of wisdom that i i i want to just share is so i've i've um been grateful to kind
of witness a lot of brands interact with the web3 community and my one kind of thing that i sort of want
um don't i mean i i heard someone say like you know i i think you know the pfp side the meme side
all that it kind of maybe makes some brands feel uncomfortable with web3 there's like the strong
degen side and all that but i just want to say that you know that degen side is a very important
part of web3 culture and um you know i i think brands that can somehow embrace that in some way
i know it's not always kind of doable because you know the brand values the brand voice uh doesn't
necessarily coincide well with that degen kind of voice in web3 but i think you know if if if there's
some way where you can kind of bridge the gap in in a way it'll pay huge dividends right because
because the degen crowd you know they they want to be um part of uh any brand entering the space
but i think some brands don't know how to communicate in the same way right and so um my
my parting words is you know i'm i'm i'm really very happy to see kind of brands entering the space
hopeful that you know more brands come in but also learn to kind of appreciate how the degen voice
is a very key part of web3 culture and maybe kind of learn to simulate into that voice in some way
that's awesome yeah and i'm gonna be following a lot of what you do a little bit more closely because
uh just dropping alpha and great great ideas and in commentary like no other it's honestly been
really encouraging the fiat team any closing thoughts and and remarks
um i've i've spoken a lot so alan i'll let you go that's okay
um i think from a clear closing remarks perspective i think the the key here and really the strongest
visionary piece of this is is bringing generative art into the real world um i understand that you
know with the millennials etc there's this want to be kind of totally digital however we're human
and we live a physical life and i think it would be a mistake to stay in the digital world 100
percent so the exciting part for me is how is getting the specifically the generative art
into daily life and i think that's a really important way to onboard right web2 natives when
they see what you have and you say yeah it's an nft and this is generative art and it's an educational
process we in our you know we can do that in a small way with small teams and it'll take forever
the way that has to happen is with mass adoption so that we have as many people talking about the
program the benefits that they've got from that and actually physically showing people things
because this is one thing that the kind of web3 world suffers is it's fundamentally invisible to the
outside world unless you read the media which is not a great place to be we need to bring it to the
real world get people really exposed to the true value of it and get that mass adoption going and that's
really where i'm most excited about this whole fiat pass program
i will say kudos to fiat for pioneering this and really leaning into generative art as a
medium and really partnering with top tier talent in the space albeit stefano pixel boy and prohibition
i think that as somebody who is observing you know i want to say kudos to you and the team for
for really leaning into the culture leaning into the craft right and really honoring the art i think
that's that's important in order for everyone involved to to have a positive experience so i really i'm
honored to be here today to be able to support and facilitate some of this conversation and it's largely
due to the effort and the the effort and like the really the thought that's gone into this whole
process for you guys so anybody who's out there listening you know please like follow support get
on your way to to fiat pass and support them because it's just been an absolute pleasure to be a part of
their journey and along for the ride so thank you for for really being a good steward of the space and
trying to be that beacon um i think it will age extremely well so kudos to everyone
awesome yeah thanks so much for the kind words jared and uh yeah i think it's it's great to
to have another another brand be be part of this space it's it's a big responsibility and i think it's
amazing to to have such an awesome community and amazing people that are part of this project i mean
like i've already said everyone here um on stage everyone listening it's been an amazing space
this today and yeah we're very excited uh to really be at the beginning of of what is a uh
very exciting roadmap and uh future vision for fiat in web3 so thanks very much and uh yeah hope
everyone has a uh web3 is obviously uh 24 7 but i hope everyone has a has a good break in the holidays
thanks very much everyone
