All righty, GM, GM everyone, welcome to another collab community.
I had a little bit of an echo there, sorry about that.
So we are ready to kick off another week. I am super excited about this space today,
being able to talk about current events and telefriends and all the cool stuff that we've
got going on and some weird stuff that we've seen in web3 this week. As usual, we are joined
on the collab land side by Anjali Young, who is the CCO and co-founder of abridged.io,
the creators of collab land and telefriends. The mission of abridged is to make the promises of
blockchain and decentralization in reality by bringing usability to web3, empowering devs to
build a better web3, and giving everyone access to build applications using blockchain technology.
So Anjali has been a strong champion of this mission, and it's great to have her here.
Oh my god, you're too fine. Thank you, Candy. Excited to be here, GM everybody,
Friday already, and not only that, it's February 1st. It is. We've made it past forever, January,
and are now on to a new month. We also have Chibi here, who is amazing, magical. Chibi,
she runs our Discord as the model, she's from our comms team, and we're super lucky to have her here,
because she is keeping the social scene down with collab land, making sure that we have
things going on in the Discord every week, and we've got some exciting events coming up that
she'll tell us about, so hype for that. GM everybody, so happy to be here today,
and yes, we have a lot to talk about and some exciting things to share, so I'm excited about
it. I do, and we have as usual a POAP for today, which will go live in 23 minutes, if my math is
correct, 2pm Eastern. It will have a secret word, so if you have the POAP app, perfect, on your mobile
device, you'll be able to mint it. If you don't, now's a good time to download it, because you'll
have 22 minutes now to get it downloaded and ready to mint. So we have that, but let's kick off our
space with the conversation, right? So as Anjali noted, it's February 1st, we have made it through
January, which I swear to god felt like a whole year in itself. There was a lot happening.
Totally agree, totally agree, like it's crazy to know that it's February already, but
damn, January was long, it was a lot, I don't know, I feel like that's a general feeling too,
or is it just that? I think it's that like post holiday hangover, but not at collab land. I mean,
we had two chain integrations last month. I mean, we had two announcements with that, you know,
we're going with telefriends, it's been crazy, but even more than that, like crypto is not slowing
down. I mean, there's new metas popping up every day. One of the things that I want to talk about
is this FTX drama that is never ending. And so now, and I don't know, Candy, if we could share it,
but we've got a FTX now saying that they're going to be making all the users whole what is happening,
they were like $8 billion missing. And now they're going to be making all the users whole like that's
crazy. So it's like that is going to be continuing to go on. I mean, we got we know that he was SPF
was also he was guilty on all of the accounts. And I think his sentencing is coming up in the
next couple of months. So that's going to be crazy and interesting. There was some hype about FTX
coming back as an exchange. And I don't know what that maybe this making users whole situation is
part of that. I don't know. Like, do either of you have any money in FTX? I don't think I've even asked.
I have very largely avoided exchanges. Fun fact, in the six years I've been here, the only exchange
that I've ever interacted with is Coinbase. And luckily, I am not banned from Coinbase.
I'll say I know that people have run into these issues and coin maces, you know,
powers that be are like, nope, you can no longer, but I've been lucky to not have to do that.
So the only exchange I've had a Coinbase and dapper has like a direct withdrawal to bank account.
So those are the ways that I've gotten money in and out of web three. But mostly I just float around here.
Yeah, I am banned from Coinbase and did lose money and have lots of money in FTX. So I wonder
now if I'm going to get my money back. And it's funny, because I saw a tweet yesterday and it was
or was it on threads or was it on blue sky or was it on broadcast? Somewhere, somewhere I read
something that like, you know, the bull is back when basketball players are still minting,
begin minting again, mint collections again. And there was a collection, I think it was last week
or the week before Dwight Howard, who I like as a basketball player. And I like as I've actually
watched a documentary about Dwight Howard. He's awesome. And so many basketball players have these
really interesting origin stories. But he has a new collection out. I think it's on Avalanche.
And so once you start seeing NBA stars putting out NFT collections, you know that the bull is back.
But speaking of NBA stars, last time and how I got involved with FTX is at Steph Curry of the
Warriors, number 30. He's amazing. Had an NFT collection on FTX that he was launching on FTX.
And so I was like, Oh, I better get on. All right. So Steph Curry, though,
can we can we pause for a minute? Because Steph Curry, have you seen the show Holy Moly?
Oh, I didn't know we had a show. So there is a show and it's on, I want to say like ABC,
you know, just like the TV network here in the US. And this show, you can find it on,
I want to see Netflix or Hulu, one of those two. It's called Holy Moly. And it is like
extreme mini golf. And Steph Curry is kind of like the celebrity guy who
stars in this, I think is a very vague way to say it, because he doesn't make many appearances.
And it's just referenced a bunch and occasionally has some cameos. It's a very fun show to watch.
Mini golf is not a sport I would have thought I'd like to watch, but it is amusing.
Yesterday, well, he's crazy into golf. But yesterday, I was thinking about him. I don't
know. I guess I was thinking about him. Yesterday, I was thinking about Steph Curry. And so I was
looking through his Instagram. And he does a lot of golf stuff. So this I do know this,
because I learned this yesterday, he's super into golf. And so there's lots of pictures of him,
like playing golf and practicing golf. And the comments are like, the Warriors are 18 and 22.
What are you doing playing golf? Or Oh, this is why the Warriors suck this season because
you're playing golf. And I was thinking, damn, like this is the same as crypto, right? Like,
no one can do anything else. You've always got your people there being like, tell us about the
floor price. Why isn't the floor price any good? And this felt very, this had what's explained
your floor price. Yes, I will say it does. It very much does. And this is why at some level,
I'm very excited that I've never done anything that big to where people hold me accountable for,
you know, whatever the thing is, while I'm just trying to live my life.
Yeah, you can't, you can't live your life. No, no playing golf. Steph Curry, go back.
I'm going to keep being that famous. Those were the comments. Yeah, go back to basketball. This
is your fault. And now you're just doing reels on Instagram. But yeah, so when you do that,
when you put on an NFT collection, Dwight Howard's doing it. I mean, you're going to be anytime,
right? Launching a token. We know how that feels. When you launch a token, you have to deal with it.
When you do anything, when you're putting yourself out there, you got to be there for that kind of
feedback and expect it. So yeah, I guess Dwight Howard's here for it. But FTX, that's how I got
involved with FTX. And that's how FTX is holding some of my money. Thanks, Steph Curry, which by
the way, I did should comment that on his golf collection. No, I like him too much. I wouldn't
do that. But that's kind of an Instagram account. Yeah, you did tell me you have one, right?
I don't have two accounts on Instagram. But yeah, maybe I need one just to just make some comments.
But otherwise, I'm just like reading them thinking, bam, this feels like crypto. And then
it's a bigger question of like, is this just online life, right? Trolls. It's not special to crypto.
There's trolls all over the internet. And there have been since the beginning of the internet.
And there probably were trolls even before the internet. I don't know what capacity, but
if it's part of human nature, it probably existed, right? Hecklers, right? Like at a
Oh, wait, hold on. Hold on. I got the perfect thing to share to the space here on Julie.
Please check the pin tweets. Okay, let me check.
And tweets. Can I do that on my computer? No, I have to do it on my phone. Okay.
You should be able to on your computer. It's got like a little side scroll you can arrow.
I see the FTX. That's all I see.
Should have read trolls. It's funny, because as you're talking about the trolls, I was like, man,
we need that Buzz Lightyear meme. Sure enough, googling or searching it on Twitter has provided
me the exact thing I was looking for. It is true. That is absolutely true. There are trolls,
trolls everywhere. And even Steph Curry gets them on his Instagram account. So I guess the
bigger message here is that when you get them, just let it roll off. You're back. Don't sweat it.
This is what it's going to be. Look, there's even a Buzz Lightyear meme about it. Oh my gosh,
we are going to start running out of time if we don't get through our next subjects candy.
Oh boy. All right. So next we've got, yeah, what we've got next.
Yeah. What happened with Ripple? I know I belong to, um, Alex. Who is it? Alex Zach. I'm in his,
uh, he has a telegram account. He doesn't have a Twitter anymore. I don't think. Let me see.
What is it? It is a, it's like an investigation group that I follow him on, on, um, on Twitter
or sorry on telegram. And he was talking about this, uh, hack that happened at, um, at ripple.
And then the ripple guy came on and was like, Oh, got a couple. Yeah. Couple things to share
with the space for this. We've got his, and we've got this other, uh, an actual article.
Okay. Good. Yeah. So I, I follow the, um, he has a telegram group of his investigations. It's called
investigations by Zach XBT. If anyone's looking, he doesn't have a discord server. So if you see
any kind of discord server that's Zach XBT, it's a lie. It's a scam run away, run away. Um, I guess
he's still on Twitter. I mainly get all the information through this, um, telegram group
that we're in and it has like 18,000 subscribers to it. So definitely subscribe if you're interested
in learning about, uh, the latest stuff that comes out is Zach XBT, which is really scams and hacks.
And the one that he talked about yesterday or the day before, Oh, January 31st. Yeah. That was just,
that was yesterday. It was probably yesterday morning, which is why it feels like it was
forever. Yeah. Um, let's be real. Yeah. Yesterday was such a day that our brains are
mushed by midday and we just had to carry on. Oh, that was yesterday. Um, but a,
uh, there was a ripple hack, uh, 213 million XRP. So that was 112.5 million ripple. What?
And then the CEO got on Twitter and said, no, no, no, that was just my personal account.
Just hang it out in a hot wallet, getting compromised. Like what? Oh my God. Maybe
it was at a hot wallet, but still like that's, that's a lot to just, I don't know. You think
you'd have more security on something like that. Oh my gosh. I don't think it really helps as much
as he thinks it helps to be like, if that was just my personal ripple staff, because, uh, that
doesn't look very good when the CEO has 112.5 million in ripple and then loses it. It doesn't
exhibit that much confidence. I will say, let's see, maybe they'll turn it around. Oftentimes,
just like airplanes, the, the people that have some kind of vulnerability end up to be the safest.
So not making a judgment here or there on that. And it could have been a personal situation.
Who knows? But I think they're definitely going to be looking at, um, ripple, you know,
they're going to be looking at their security a little bit more. And I will tell you, there is a,
we do have a success story in crypto, which is, uh, Ronin, right? I mean, they were hacked for
600 million because of some sort of multi-sig issue where all five of the multi-sigs were, um,
passwords were in one account or something like that. And then look what's happened. Like how
Ronin's come back from that. I mean, not, not financial advice at all. Um, and I don't have
any, so that's my disclaimer. I don't have any Ronin or Ron, but I mean, they're really killing
it right now, even after having had a hack of $600 million. So I'm not saying that ripple is going
to suffer, uh, in any long-term way from this, if anything, they may even improve, but you know,
we do have a success story in our midst with Ron. So it's not like crypto people are going to say,
forget XRP, forget ripple forever. That's, that's not true. But this is happening. I wonder,
I don't know exactly, um, what happened, but was this a SIM swap situation? Are we looking at SIM
swap again? Really SIM swap is what happened with the SEC and SIM swap is the big one right now
that's happening everywhere. So I wonder if this is also, since it was a personal account, I wonder
if it was a SIM swap, but I don't know. If anyone else knows, um, tell us in the comments, uh,
it doesn't say anything yet. But I think, oh, there are phishing emails. So I did see something
about phishing emails too. Coin Telegraph, Wallet Connect, Token Terminal, and D.Fi all have been
sending out phishing emails to users. And I saw recently, I think it was decrypt actually,
that I got an email, I got an email saying that their email list was compromised.
So email lists are also in OpenSea. You guys remember when OpenSea's email was compromised.
I still get emails from that particular situation. From fake OpenSea's? Oh yeah. All the fake OpenSea's.
So when you're getting emails, um, be aware this is even more Coin Telegraph Wallet Connect.
If you get an email that's like, Hey, somebody has either blocked your NFT and you need to click
here to validate it. Or if they're like, Hey, here's an offer, just go straight to the source.
Don't click a link in an email. I just got one this morning from GoDaddy because I had to,
my credit card was expired. And so I have to like add a new credit card for let'sformgroup.xyz.
Shout out let'sformgroup.xyz. And I was like, uh, I don't want to click on this. It's like from
GoDaddy. And I'm like, my crypto Spidey Census say, I should not click on this. Spidey Census.
Yeah. I'm like, I need to go straight to GoDaddy and change my credit card there. And of course,
it was legit and it had nothing to do with crypto. Really it was GoDaddy. But even then it's like,
I don't want to click anything that comes from the email. Every time goes straight to the thing,
all these email lists are being compromised. And so, yeah, it's just not a good situation at all.
But yeah, I don't know what happened with Ripple. Do either of you know what happened with Ripple?
Or are we just, I'm guessing swim swap, but I don't know.
I'm so curious. This article, which I skimmed over and mostly I went,
eh, like it's an incident. It happened some nonsense. Like it just, you know,
mentions hack while it doesn't, as far as I can see, say how, which as we know, many things are
called a hack even when it's not snow. It's not a hack. Social engineering, fishing, right?
It's fishing. It's not a hack. If it's social engineering, it's not a hack. But yeah,
we just use the word scammer and hacker. Interchangeably. Yeah. And this person said
there was unauthorized access to a few of my personal accounts. Yeah, that really tells you
nothing. I remember a famous one, Nicole. Was this the one that the mistakes in an account that I
controlled? Yes. Yes. And I will tell you, I really, that got me so hard. Oh my God. Honestly,
isn't that the best? Like that got, it still means all the time. And I was like, damn, Nicole really
turned that around. Um, there were mistakes made in a wallet that I controlled. Yeah.
And we've all done stupid things. I get it. But being able to like, um, you know, phrase it in a
way that it's like, in all of our subconscious now, I think it's really, really smart. And she's
like, um, trolled so hard for that because it essentially was like a non, uh, responsibility
sort of didn't own a whole new situation. Totally. And I just thought it was really,
really clever. I mean, we've all done stupid, stupid stuff. Everyone knows like you did a
stupid thing and to find a way to be like, well, mistakes were made. But yeah, I just love that it
turned into a meme. It's hilarious. Also another lesson from that, which is kind of the Steph Curry
lesson, which is people are going to hate. You're going to make mistakes. We're in crypto. Everything
is on the blockchain. You know, one thing that often is like, you can't hide it. There's no
Jesus coming for the blockchain. Like this is like pre-Christian pre-forgiveness times,
like whatever you've done, it's there. And so there's no hiding it. There's no pretending
it didn't happen. Everyone's seeing it. Everyone's watching it. Um, you don't get to wash your sins
away. They're right there for everybody. So yeah, regardless of what you say, it's all of,
all of those ridiculous projects that I've minted over the years. Yeah. I like to keep them as
badges of, um, I don't know, naiveté, I guess, or just craziness and belief. And I don't know,
all the good things. Um, it's all, it all makes up this crazy world we call crypto right now.
It's all going to be memories someday. Uh, so that's the ripple hack. And we've got four minutes
until our PO apps. I really wanted to talk a little bit and maybe we can talk about telefriends
after the PO app. But our Zora mints, what's going on with Zora mints? We actually just kind
of started talking about it that this morning in the comms meeting, Candy Chibi, what's going on
with Zora mints? What are we doing? We make them in their fun. That's what's going on. Uh, let me,
let me find it here. We have been minting, uh, Zora, NFTs on Zora for some of our
integrations. And they've been going pretty well. So here, uh, I'll share to the space
this quote from Marco Monaco because it's a good one and I like it. But right after that, here's
a link to the currently open Zora mint, which has like seven days left, uh, which celebrates
integration of collab land and linear and is something that you can mint, which minting on
Zora is pretty cheap. And then you have cute little things. So that's what we've got going on
with those, but we'll continue to roll those out for different integrations and partnerships and
promotions. So excited to keep bringing those to the community. These are so cute. I have already
called mine. It's nice too because you can get a couple if you want. We can share today. Do we have
any, uh, alpha on which ones are coming up next? Do we, uh, Julie? I think we do. We have a couple
coming up next. We actually have a bunch. Sure. These are secrets. Um, we have a bunch coming up
next. I will say, um, I can't tell you the exact order that they're coming up, but there's going
to be one coming up with arbitrum. Um, as you know, like this week we had that announcement. Was
it this week or last week, Candy, about the grant? I think arbitrum might've been last week that I
posted it. Okay. So we've got the arbitrum grant. If you know about that, we've got stuff happening
with arbitrum. We launched, um, telefriends on arbitrum. We've got some fun stuff coming. If
you're a part of our DAO, you know about it already. Fun stuff coming up with arbitrum.
And so we are going to be doing an arbitrum mint, an arbitrum Zora mint. Uh, so that's going to be
a lot of fun and it's probably going to look a little bit different than our other ones. So
we're going to be mixing up the art. I think we'll keep that art for our, uh, chain integrations.
That's why I feel right now. Um, and we might do different art for these different kind of, uh,
announcements that are coming up, but we will be doing announce, continuing to do marketing
announcements on Zora. Um, I nerd told me today and if there's there maybe he can drop it in the
chat, but he told me we have 200 followers on Zora already, which is amazing. And that's the best
place to follow us if you're interested in these mints that we're going to be putting out. I promise
they're going to be cute. Uh, we're going to do our best to make them fun for you. Um, and then
it'll give you an idea, you know, if you view a little memento of when collab blend has new
announcements, but I know we have 200 followers and I don't know how you become a follower.
So maybe you can become a follower that way. I'm not sure. Uh, if there's some secret to being
a follower, if there is, um, we'll add it to the notes or maybe we'll put out a, uh, tweet later
today, Candy, with how can people become followers on Zora? Right. I will need to figure that out in
order to tweet about that. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know how to do that either. Um, nerd told me this
morning or during our meeting earlier that we have 200 followers and I was like, that's amazing. Yeah.
If people want to join and find out what we're doing, that's the best way to do it after lunch.
Okay. Yeah. After you've had some food tweet. So we've got, oh, it's two o'clock already. I mean,
it's two o'clock Eastern already. Let me quickly say, so arbitrary was coming up.
We've got some really cool announces coming up with lip protocol, paraswap, Camelot, um,
away at OKX. Like those are my secret ones. Um, we've had a lot of fun stuff. Yeah. I'm whispering
that so everyone can keep this a secret, but we've got some DeFi stuff going on. Uh, James calls it
being a crypto mullet, which is like public goods in the front, DeFi, DGN in the back. And I think
it's hilarious. Maybe we'll do some kind of like, maybe we'll give Ace a mullet, you guys. Oh,
yes. Let me do this. I will, I volunteer. Yeah. Okay. So yeah, crypto mullet, public goods in the
front, DGN in the back. Yeah. So that's kind of the, the scene with collab land and tele friends
together. Um, but yeah, that's what's coming up. Okay. We can do the pull up. Sorry. And we,
I'm one minute over, but okay. And then we'll talk about tele friends at the other end. Absolutely.
And hold on just a second too, because nerd says I should check the comments for the link. So here
he has already done the thing so you can follow and see the mints here. So let me repost that from
collab lands account as well. It's shared in the space. Uh, this is for the Zora, uh, setup, but
with that and other things that you can mint right now for the next 14 minutes, the pull up for today,
so if you open your pull up app and in the bottom, right, you're going to select mint and then you're
going to do secret word. And today it is just one word. It's all lowercase, nothing special. It's the
word Thursday because well, that's what today is. So if you put in Thursday, which is T H U R S D A Y
Thursday, uh, that will let you mint the poet for today, which is, you know, collab land, current
events and telefriends. You do have to play the, uh, pull up whack-a-mole game, but once you get
through that, you'll be able to add it to your collection. I did a tweet yesterday because, um,
Chibi's pull ups are so cute. I know you made this one. I was trying to do a combination of
come to town hall and check out what you get. And I was looking through, I used to do the
pull ups. I do not do the pull ups anywhere anymore. And he does the pull ups for the Twitter spaces
and Chibi does all the pull ups for, um, town halls and really all other events. And there's
so much better you guys, like, I just think there's so much cuter now that you guys do them. So,
um, Bravo and kudos to both of you. That reminds me, we should do a shout out for the kudos app
mini app and the club on mini house marketplace, but kudos to them. Uh, so definitely grab this
one back to the whack-a-mole game, which is not so fun, but it was nice for that like week when
pull up got rid of it, but now it's back. And I think part of it is. Yeah. And it's probably
because so many people minted that it became a bit, I'm imagining it becoming a bit of a fire hose
on there. Yeah. They probably, so the reason that they have it is to get rid of bots. So maybe they
are at least to deter the bots. So maybe they removed it and found that the problem they were
trying to stop was still a problem and they had to continue on. Yeah, but it was, you're right. It
felt like a little crypto vacation, not having to do the work, but, um, yeah. And so definitely check
out town halls. Like maybe we can pin my tweet from yesterday. I don't know if we retweeted on
collab land, but maybe we can pin the one that shows, um, Chibi's, Chibi's co-ops. And I bet there's
going to be a good one for next week. I know we're going to talk about it in a few minutes, but
there's probably a good one for then too, right Chibi? I've got everything planned out.
Yes. All right. So we've got that pinned. You can see. And she's got some good ones there. We've got
Halloween, we've got Christmas, we've got New Year's and we've got fairy, which is my favorite.
Oh my God. They're so cute. They are so cute. And this one's probably cute too. And then maybe this
is a great time to move into what's happening next week. And then we can talk about telefriends.
Because once we start talking about telefriends, there's a lot of stuff to talk about with
telefriends. So maybe Chibi, this is a great opportunity to tell us what's happening next
week. What's something that people can look forward to? Tell us everything. What's the activity in
with you? Okay, well, tomorrow we have Town Hall, our 33rd Town Hall, which is crazy. And of course,
we'll give more details and all of the updates in there. This happens in the Colabian Discord server.
So you are all invited and welcome to join. And then for next week, well, I guess it's in two
weeks. But next week, we're going to start promoting it and sharing more details and
giving more information. But there's two main events that we're planning for Valentine's Day,
which I'm very excited about, because it's such a cute time. And it's one of my favorite events
ever, which is not a secret. But yeah, let's talk about them a little bit. And again, we'll share
more details starting next week. But you can start saving the dates, guys. I think they're
going to be awesome. February 13, so one day before Valentine's Day, we are having a karaoke party in
our Colabian Discord server. So a Valentine's Day karaoke. This will start at 1230 Eastern,
and we'll likely go for two hours. We'll see. Because the idea of these two events that we're
planning is to invite other communities to join us. And I think it's going to be a lot of them
joining. We're planning these along with the Hape team. I think you can check the pinned tweets
through the space. You can see a little teaser from Hape Social. And so we're planning everything
with them. We're inviting a lot other communities. And so I think it's going to be super fun to have
members from other communities joining. And I would really love to see you there. We will
try our team members to sing a song. No promises there, but we'll try our best.
I think we usually do. I think we usually do. You do. I think we're going to have to have candy on.
Nerd sings. I usually sing some with... I will be there for more, but I don't actually karaoke.
Okay. Well, I am not a great singer, but I sing with my daughter and she makes me sound good.
So I'll definitely have her on. She is incredible. Yeah, she's pretty good. And she
carries me. So I think the secret is having someone with you that makes up for it.
I love duets. And you guys both sing very well, I must say. And you sound really cute together.
So that's my feedback there. And oh my God, your daughter has the most beautiful voice.
Like, really. I'm really looking forward to it. But also, if you don't really like to sing,
because that's perfectly fine, you can just join and hang out and listen to the live performances.
That's perfectly fine, too. We'll have a very cute throw up for it.
And yeah, you're all invited to join. I know that it's going to be lots of fun.
If you want to sing, that would be great. Ideally, you should pick a song that's either
about romance or heartbreaks or about friendship, if you'd like to celebrate friendship,
because I think, at least where I live, it's also about friendship, not only
the romance aspect of it. So that's perfectly fine, too. And I hope to see you guys in there.
It's going to be great. And as I see her emacs in the audience,
the higher emacs, I think that he sings ones in our choreographies. There's lots of members that
sing really well. Yeah, we even had someone that played the guitar. Do you remember playing the
guitar and singing together? And then we have people that sing in different languages.
I love that. Yes. Oh, my God. It is actually really, really cool, because this world can feel
so alienating at times where we're just like all on text. And so being able to sing together and
just hang out together. And really, if you're listening, you can always give song suggestions
and you can always just like maybe we'll do some kind of, I don't know, cheering or clapping,
or I don't know, we're going to come up with some other ways to make it interactive. Maybe we have
a winner. I don't know if we want to do that, but we definitely have co-ops for the... Actually,
I should ask Chibi. Are we going to do co-ops for people who come and for participants?
I would like to make the case for everybody who sings as a winner, because it takes a lot of guts
to do that. I do not have those guts, but I would give everyone an award just because
they're doing the thing. Absolutely. I agree. Sometimes there's contests, but there's also
a lot of work that needs to be done in order to do judge. Yeah, I've done that in the past,
but yeah, it's not my favorite thing to do. I think I go more with what you just said, Candy.
It's more about having fun, I think, and just sharing and spending that time with each other.
We may have a co-op for singers and then one for everyone who joins. I think that's a good idea.
Yeah, I love that idea. I think you've made one like that before, Chibi. I feel like,
because we've done a couple of karaoke events already, and I know that you may have done one
in the past that was participants got to get a special one. I don't know, maybe. I don't know
how hard that is. Yeah, I think so. Maybe for Co-opland's birthday party, if I remember correctly.
Yes. Yeah, it's really my favorite event. You also get to hear music that maybe you're not so
familiar with. If people join from other countries, from different times, most different communities,
you get to learn what they like and what they listen to. I love that. I love music and I love
discovering music. Having those recommendations or performances, which is even better from members,
is probably one of my favorite things. I think that's so precious.
So yeah, this is happening. This is again February 13th at 12.30 Eastern,
PM Eastern. So you're all invited and I'm really excited about it and I hope to see you guys in
there. We haven't officially announced it yet, but we're almost ready to announce it probably today
or tomorrow. So you can have all of the details and set your reminders in RSVP to the event so
that you are reminded of when you get started and all of that. But you know, when it's happening,
save the date. Hope to see you guys in there. And also, because that's just one of the events
for Valentine's Day, but also, and if you check the panned tweets, it's the third one right now,
I think. We're also having a gaming tournament, which is going to be very interesting.
We're also inviting more communities to join to Thad and we will reveal the prize pool probably
next week or as we go. As more communities join, they will probably add to it as well, to their
rewards. We're going to share all of the details in the Discord server because there's a guide
with some slides on how it's going to work and what games we're going to be playing and
like how the games are going to be divided, depending on how many people join. And there's
also a form, and again, we'll share this in the Discord and Twitter starting next week. But there's
a form as well that you can fill out if you're interested in joining the tournament. So again,
we'll share all of the details with you. But just so you know, this is happening February 14th.
So if you don't have any plans for Valentine's Day, we're here for you. And I think it's a great
plan, honestly, to spend the day playing with friends and, you know, talking and having fun.
So again, you're all invited. And that's at the same time, actually, it starts at 12 30 p.m.
Eastern. And we'll see how long it takes for the tournament to be completed, because you can you
can take a while, especially if a lot of people join. But be prepared for maybe a two hour event
to three, maybe four hours, we'll see. But yeah, I think it's going to be great. I already know of
some pretty cool prizes that are going to be part of it and going to the first winners.
So yeah, just a little teaser about that. And also for you to know that it's happening when
it's happening, to start getting prepared for it, and to know that we're going to announce all of
the details very soon. But I am overly excited about these two events. I think they're going
to be super fun. Yes. Well, and also talking about games, and I'm going to add to that really
quickly, which is we do a after party after our talent halls. And we get to play all kinds of fun
games. The ones who've been playing lately are, what was that word game that we were playing? I
can't remember the name of the word game. But that game where we ask each other questions. But we've
also played golf. And we've also played poker. And I'm thinking, was there anything else that
we played? But there's so much fun. So if anyone likes to play games, and you're like, Town Hall,
I don't want to sit through Town Hall. Okay, we get you. You don't want to come to Town Hall,
although the co-op is really cute. Come join us for after party, right? And where did where can
they join us for the after party? Chibi, where is that? What room is that in?
I love that you mentioned that. Yeah, this happened right after Town Hall in our Colabland Discord
server in a voice channel that's called Meetups. So yeah, you're all invited. They usually,
if we don't run over on our Town Halls, they usually start at 1.30pm Eastern. So same time as
the spaces today. And yeah, we all get to decide what we're going to play that day.
It is lots of fun. And you know, that reminds me of, so I met with the hate team yesterday.
And they were saying, like, you know, a lot of projects that are new to the space or old projects,
like, you don't really get to see a lot of communities that do games and that take some
time to, you know, to share and to just have a good time. And at least to me, it's so important
to do that. It's like, I feel like I need it. It's a bit of an escape and just to, you know,
share and have a fun time with your people in the work through space. So yeah, I love those times.
And I love if anyone wants to join, you are all, of course, welcome. And yeah, this is tomorrow
after Town Hall. So Friday. And we do this every two weeks, these after parties kind of after Town
Halls. So yeah, I hope that you guys can join tomorrow. It is again at 1.30pm Eastern in the
Discord server. So if you're not in our Discord server, you can find a link to it in our link
tree that's in our Twitter's description. Or you can go to discord.gg slash collabland with no
symbols or dots, just discord.gg slash collabland to see you guys in there.
Definitely. It is so fun. I will say it's definitely the highlight of my week when we do
gaming on Friday afternoons. And I see some people in the audience that have come to play with us.
And we have a good time, everyone. So if you just want to give it a try, we're totally welcoming to
everybody that wants to join. We'd love to have you. And we just are goofing around and laughing
most of the time. So if you need a laugh, and maybe you're a bit isolated being online, working
online, this is an opportunity to be with people who are in the space. And we're really not talking
about crypto at all. We're just really different. Even though she says she doesn't know how to play.
Oh my god. Okay.
That's what happened. She was like, Oh, no, I don't know how to do this. And then proceeded to
stomp all over everyone. It was total beginner's luck. So if you're showing up, and if we're
playing poker, do not expect anything from me. It is it was just random case here. Oh my god.
Okay, well, I hope you do come. I hope you do enjoy. It's fun.
Speaking of fun things, we have tele friends we have.
Actually, I'm gonna give you nine minutes, which will give us two minutes to close up.
Oh, okay. But we also need to talk about round up really quickly.
Um, Candy, can we post our subscription to stuff sub stack and maybe just give a one minute,
you can take one minute, and then I'll take 10 minutes for tele friends. But one minute to talk
about what just launched yesterday on our sub stack. Oh, absolutely. So we posted here a sub
stack. And I didn't put a link to it yet. But we do have here's a link. This will work.
Um, we have a sub stack that we put out once a month ish. And yesterday was the first of the
year. So that's exciting. I'm sharing it to the space now. This is just a generic link to our
subscript sub stack subscribe to it. It's fun. We put out the Chronicles of collab land, which
sounds fun. It's exciting. Reminds us a little of Narnia. This gives me the opportunity to
bring in more fairies, I'm just saying. But we put out all of the things that you know,
kind of highlights for things that happened throughout the wintery months. It was cold,
but yeah, as we know, the market's been heating up, the space has been heating up.
Some pretty cool stuff has been happening. And we put it all into a little newsletter
to be packaged and ready for your reading pleasure. So there you go. Click it, like it,
follow, whatever. It's once a month. We're not going to spam your inbox. We may put out some
fun stuff time to time, but mostly you're just going to get a roundup of what happened that
month. So we're going to try to get these out the last day of the month. So yesterday's we're now
out on January 31st, and it covers all of January and a little bit of December, because in December,
we did a 2023 roundup. And so there were some things in December that we didn't get to talk
about. And so we also got Oh, here, I'll post that too, in case you haven't seen it.
Thank you. Thank you. And now we're going to spend the next couple of minutes to talk about
telefriends and what's going on with telefriends. It's actually been really exciting. I mean,
we started in December, the end of December with telefriends, it is collab land's journey into
generating revenue. As you all probably know, if you're here, collab land is a free service.
We service 53,000 crypto communities, we created token gating on telegram and on discord and token
gated websites, token gated apps, and it's remained a free service. We have paid many apps
for and they're only 99 cents a month, if you're interested in role composition or guest pass,
we do have enterprise services, if you are the type of community that requires enterprise services.
So we have that it's called collab land VIP, maybe we can do it a little pin for that one to candy,
I haven't prepared you for this, but pin for that. And then we also have collab care,
where if you're a community that wants instant background checks, like on demand background
checks, or if you have more complex systems that you're like, you know what, it's worth it for me
to have pay a little bit extra to have a chat discord channel with the collab land support team
and our developers as needed, where if you need anything, you don't want to wait in the support
line. And you want to just cut all the way to the front, you can use collab care. And we are there
to help you with that and are happy to help you with that. But other than that are what our CTO
will call our eight course meal, our eight course meal is free to everybody. And so what we've done
is we've launched a second app called tele friends. And it is on telegram just the same way
collab land started on telegram. And yeah, it's a social fly app, where you get 5% of the buys and
sells out of your passes, combined with a trading bot. And James, who is my husband and my co founder
and just really funny and smart, says it's a crypto mullet. So he calls it a crypto mullet,
which we talked a little bit about earlier, which is like, public good in the front. So that's like
collab land, and then DJ in the back. So you've got your long hair in the back. And so collab land
powers tele friends, all of our safety and security features that we've worked on with our communities,
with our admins with our team over the last three and a half years, we will turn four in May. So
gosh, a little over three and a half years, powers tele friends, we're working with lit protocol on
the back end for the account abstraction part, we're working with obvious wallet and by economy,
and we've launched on arbitrum. So it's using arbitrum. Yeah, we've just got a lot of great
partners to start this social fight bot times or meets telegram trading bot. And we're just really
excited about it. Things that are going to be coming up with tele friends are going to include
a more integration with arbitrum. I'm not going to spill the beans just yet. But keep,
keep your ears open for that. We're going to have the Zora mint to announce that. And then we're
going to have lots of interesting things going on with the collab token. If you're a collab token
holder, you might be interested in what's going on. So definitely check that out. So that's coming
in the next month. Sorry, gosh, I'd say next days to weeks. I don't know, it's imminent. But we're
also noticing, and I was looking at the doing analytics this morning, you know, we used to make
an insignificant amount every day in tele friends. It's still very much taking off a lip protocol.
We had a dependency on the protocol going to mainnet. They've gone to mainnet. So now that we're
going to be kind of doing a much larger marketing campaign for tele friends in the days and weeks
ahead. So you'll be seeing and hearing more about tele friends. We like to think of this period right
now after our launch is more of a soft launch, because all of our partners are waiting to go
online. And we're going to be changing a few things around. And then we're going to be really
putting the majority of our marketing power into the next few days to few months. But we've like
grown 100 times in the last few days. So even with our just a drop in the bucket on how people were
using tele friends, we've already grown 100 times over this last week, which has been really,
really interesting. And so we're just excited to see that growth. And you know, we're here for the
long haul with Kalebland and hoping that we can, you know, slowly be able to keep Kalebland free
and keep all of our team intact to be able to continue to support our communities,
along with making sure that our communities that are there are being able to get revenues. One of
the big issues and really what led this movement toward tele friends was the loss of revenues
during the bear market. Our communities are suffering by not being able to have revenue
and have their royalty splits from when their NFTs are bought and sold. And so one of the things
Kalebland did last year was the royalty gating tool, royalty detection tool. And so in your
community, if you want to give access or roles to people who paid a royalty, right, because now
they're optional, paid a royalty, then you can give them better access and you can give them
better rules and you can give them inner circle passes to what's happening in your community.
But how could we as Kalebland set up a situation where our creators can feel confident that
no one's going to rug them of their royalties and no one's going to rug them of their revenue.
And the way we're doing that is with tele friends, which means when passes are bought and sold out
of your token gated group, which is Kalebland back end token great group, when passes are bought and
sold, you'll always get 5% of those sales, whether it's a buy, whether it's a sell, you get those
royalties, they aren't going to be taken from you. There is no third party marketplace outside of
tele friends outside of Kalebland that's going to be able to decide that you don't get that money
anymore. You always will. So that was one way we can kind of control what happens when it comes to
our creators being compensated because that's a core value for us in terms of what we believe you
should get paid for what you're doing online and you should be paid for your contributions and how
we all live and work online should be, you should be getting credit for that. And so that's one of
the ways we're doing it. And then secondly, on the D gen side, it's with your trades. So if you
have favorite tokens on arbitrant that you want to tell people about, well, if you create a trade
link with tele friends and you share it, you can share it on your socials, you can share it in
telegram, you can share it on discord, really only share on discord if your server allows links,
but you can share it wherever you want. You can share it via DM or you can share it via text,
whatever. If anyone executes on your trade, let's say I am telling someone about the happy token.
I'm totally making this up. I don't know if there's a happy token, not financial advice,
the happy token on arbitrant and I create a trade link for it and then I share it.
If people execute that trade link, then I get 1% of that trade as the person who shared that trade
link with others because content creation doesn't just mean making reels or making TikToks or making
gifts or making memes. It can mean, hey, I found this token. I believe in this token. I'm going to
tell people about this token and I want people to benefit from that. And if people are benefiting
from that, my alpha, then I should benefit as well. So content creation equals also on the DeFi side,
sharing alpha. And so we wanted to be able to share alpha and make sure that that alpha is
accredited back to the person who is sharing it. So, wow, I think I'm just in time, Candy. One
minute to go. I think I got it. I don't know if she is unmuting or not, but we are exactly right
on time and I got my 10 minutes in. You did amazing. I think that's all we got. We'll talk
about more. There's more stuff coming, you guys. Telefriends is growing. Like I said, we're 100
times on the last few days have been 100X what we've done the other days. It's still small
compared to other trading bots and compared to other social by. But again, we are doing something
very innovative. These are non-custodial wallets. There's so much on the tech side. Come to Dev
Deep Dives. I guess I'll do a little plug for Dev Deep Dives. And it's a bit of a mouthful,
but we do Dev Deep Dives on Wednesdays. When is that, Chibi and Candy? What time do we do those?
Those are at 1230 PM Eastern and those happen in the Discord. They also get live streamed to
Twitter here and also YouTube. Awesome. So check those out. Our tech team goes on, tells us about
the innovation that goes on in the back end with Collabland and Telefriends. If you're a developer
out there or you just want to learn and listen to a masterclass from our developers to tell you
about what we do and how we do it, what we've got with Collabland is scalability. We've scaled over
the last three and a half years. That comes with a lot of different challenges, supporting millions
of users every single day, over 53,000 communities. A lot of learning and know-how comes into that.
So we definitely invite you to come if you have any technical interest. Come to Dev Deep Dives.
Go on to YouTube. Check them out. I think we have a whole Dev section in our YouTube channel,
which is youtube.com slash at collabland, all one word, no dot. Check that out. We also have
some new YouTube videos for telefriends. So you can go to youtube.com slash at telefriends,
one word, T-E-L-E-F-R-E-N-S. Yeah, we're Collabland bot on Telegram. We're Telefriends bot on Telegram.
And then check out our link tree for everything else. I think I got everything. Yes.
You can find the link trees both here in the Collabland Twitter bio and the Telefriends Twitter
bio. So the Telefriends is linked in the pinned spaces here. But with that, I think we are good.
And as always, if you need anything from Collabland, feel free to reach out in the Discord.
Chibi is constantly monitoring that. She's a rock star. Twitter, you can hit us up on either
Dama de Roca or Myself or the Collabland Twitter, Telefriends Twitter. Those are Anjali and myself
as well. So any of those places, you will get us and we are here to support you with whatever it is
you need to the best of our ability. So thank you very much to the panel for joining today and for
our community for joining as well. I know that you have many ways to spend your time and the fact
that we chose to spend it with us today is something that we really value and appreciate.
So have a fabulous rest of your week and we will see you again hopefully for Town Hall tomorrow,
hopefully for Dev Dives next Wednesday. But we will definitely keep the door open.
And thank you, Candy and Chibi for joining. But Candy killing it as a host. I love it.
And Chibi hosts all of the Discord events. So definitely come and check them out. And these are
just really amazing women in crypto. So definitely come and support and we're just excited about
tomorrow. Come play games tomorrow. I am not going to say I'm going to beat everyone in poker because
like I said, beginners luck. But come and play. We're going to have tons of fun.
Yes. Thank you again, everyone. Happy great rest of your day. We will see you soon.
