I think we can start hello everyone welcome to the Cordao AMA with Altura I'm
Yogo a marketing contributor at core and we will be talking with Altura NFT that
has recently integrated core chain and yeah let's go for this hello
how are you guys good good thanks for having us awesome all right let's maybe
start with a brief introduction right sure I'm Alex I'm head of business
development I've been at Altura for about two years now and I lead all the
partnerships a ton of marketing and and really help new games get on board it to
our platform and I think we have Tanner here as well Tanner great headshot by
the way hey I'm sure I'm the COO co-founder of Altura just here trying to
bring ultra to the next level into the forefront of web 3 gaming I think may
should be joining as well just um getting a grain of that but he should be
here in a quick second I'm gonna do him a call for awesome so who's
ready to play a game let's do it I'm excited all right okay can you
introduce for the portal she's here a bit about Altura NFT like what what
Altura NFT is absolutely I'm happy to do that so out Altura is basically an
all-in-one platform that's gonna make it very easy for game developers to
integrate blockchain NFTs but more importantly do a lot of fun things with
these NFTs to make it a good experience for the users so we have a ton of tools
we have a unity SDK and unreal SDK and a rest API and these things will help game
developers mint NFTs transfer NFTs so let's say someone finds an NFT in the
game or wins an NFT they can handle that it can read NFT data so it can gate
keep and gifts are in perks to holders and then what's really cool is we have
smart NFTs so you can actually upgrade and downgrade these NFTs instantly and
for free for anyone that doesn't know what a smart NFT or a dynamic NFT is
let's say I have a sword in a game and that sword slays a hundred monsters and
upgrades and turns blue we make it possible that the NFT in the marketplace
will instantly turn blue as well completely gas-free that's not all we
also have burnable NFTs let's say I have a potion in game that I buy and I drink
that potion I get that power up that will automatically get burned from my
wallet so so stuff like that is possible with us but we also have a wallet
solution called Altura Guard 2.0 this does a couple things it allows users to
connect off browser so let's say you're playing a console game or mobile game
you can actually connect your wallet by typing in this Altura Guard code and
then your wallets connect and you can play with those NFTs we also facilitate
social login and an email address you can log in and create accounts so anyone
new to crypto if you don't have a wallet before you'll actually be able to come
and play the game instantly and then lastly we've built a very powerful
marketplace ourselves any game can go and list their game on our site but
what's really cool is we have a white label solution so now any game can have
their own marketplace in under five minutes with their own theme their own
domain and even their own token if they decide to do so so that's kind of just
high-level everything Altura awesome so that's the definition of all-in-one
right it's everything you would need yeah yeah that that that's that's cool
what what was your first game oh that was probably before my time um that's
that's tough because I mean we all know what kind of industry the the web 3
gaming space was two or three years ago I'm sure a lot of those games that ended
up signing on didn't survive honestly but uh I I'd say if I had a pick one I
would say chaincade was probably one of our first games yeah good question
though cool all right and what what do you see like in the gaming the gaming
market what do you see being the latest trends right now latest trends in the
gaming market I would say probably what Pokemon with guns that that how world
game has been popping off quite quite a lot I've been seeing in the news that
that was actually super exciting because I think they they're kind of crypto
friendly if the game isn't integrated completely but uh maybe in the future
down the line that they might so that's super exciting Tanner I'll let you jump
in if you want to tackle this question I think in gaming right now I think it's
becoming more and more prevalent like a lot of users especially people who are
playing games like Call of Duty or other first-person shooter games that are like
moving from like their season one onto their season two there's been a lot of
the use case that's been brought to the forefront of people who upgraded their
guns or their skins or whatever in those games couldn't carry that forward into
the next iteration of the game so that kind of brings the use case for having
web through technologies and tokenizing the in-game assets because now it
presents an opportunity where these in-game assets can now be brought
brought into the next game if that's something that the game wants to do but
also just brings the the voice of the player to be louder because it's
something that where they feel they're being cheated or they feel they are not
being able to take advantage of everything that they could be and it's
not necessarily their decision at the end of the day it always will be the
game's decision whether or not they choose to do that but if the person is
playing your games is constantly that's something that they're bringing up
something that they're voicing a good game always listens to their players and
I think the latter those voices can become the more that trend can start to
take the mainstream the more that web through gaming in the premise of being
able to own your in-game assets will become more popularized yeah makes makes
sense so with this recent integration for the gaming developers listening what
what can they do now with Altura on core sure so you know a lot of these
these bigger web to successful studios they see the industry and perhaps they
they're looking to make their first web through games so if they're looking to
build on core we kind of have these this toolkit now where we're gonna make it
very easy for them you know a large studio that makes successful games they
might be great at making games but they're not too familiar with with
crypto or blockchain so essentially they'd have to hire a whole department
of blockchain engineers and and do everything on their ends with us we kind
of take that off their plate so we we have like a lot of no-coding needed
tools where they can go and they can integrate NFTs very seamlessly and do a
lot of really cool things with that so any game out that's looking to expand
multi-chain and build on core or any game that wants to build their first
collection on core they can do that with our tools with the with the all-in-one
in mind right exactly but what's really cool with us is that we're not gonna
lock you in to everything it's not like an all-or-nothing type deal we let the
games have options and we let them choose what the best tech out there in
the world is so we're very compatible with everything else in the market most
of our our games do like the all-in-one so they do use everything but our ethos
is kind of interoperability so we want to be a very open platform and and work
together with a lot of other techs out there okay that that makes a lot of
sense and where do you see an impact being made with Altura NFT on core so
I'll let Tanner jump in a little bit but I think one really cool aspect is that
now essentially instead of having one place where where users can go and trade
core NFTs we could have a hundred or a thousand different core marketplaces
where all these games have their own marketplace on their own site where
users can go and and trade those NFTs so I think that's going to be a very
important aspect in the future especially you know with these big bigger
marketplaces like OpenSea and Rarible not honoring royalties so yeah we
definitely think that's a big use case and then obviously our other tools are
going to be super helpful for for them yeah and then jumping on and just adding
to it to what Alex already said I think the biggest piece that Altura can offer to people who are
building on core people that want to build on core is we are reducing the
complexity of being able to integrate blockchain backed assets into the game
so I think with a lot of solutions that are currently offered I'm not sure other
than us that there is another infrastructure project that's working
directly with core blockchain but we make it super simple to the point where
like you don't have to be an expert in Solidity or IPFS or any of the
complicated web 3 backed technologies that you have to understand if you want
to integrate these assets if you're coming from the web 3 side or they're
coming from the game development side understanding the programming
languages that are native to you being able to use that knowledge and then
using Altura's tools to just simplify that entire process so we're really
bridging the gap and making it so that if games wanted to build on core they now
can't because their core is integrated with Altura's tools or Altura's tools
now integrated core so we're really providing that bridge to allow these
games that want to support core the core blockchain they want to be building on
the core blockchain they're able to do that now because they have the access to
Altura's tools and then on top of everything with Alex and the
marketplaces is we provide a lane for these games to now make the royalties
that they deserve to be making off of off of their in-game assets that has in
that right been taken away from them with a lot of a lot of other of the
larger marketplaces like blur and OpenSea and all these other they're
removing all these royalty fees we still allow the game developers to choose
their own royalty fee that they can put on the customized Altura white label
marketplace and that's just extremely beneficial for anyone who wants to
build build on the core blockchain in general
awesome and how how's your experience on core so far it's pretty new but but so
far so good I love the partnership we've done together it seems like in the
future we're gonna be doing a lot of big things I can tell you that we've
already referred a couple games over to core so I'm very excited for that and I
know you guys have a lot of games planning to build on core so I'm excited
to get those introductions and help them out as much as we can but I think big
things are coming this year for both of us absolutely awesome um we also have
here on the speakers Diana from core I'm not sure if you are able to speak now I
can hi guys hey Diana great to have you on on on the spaces today and very
excited having Altura within the core chain ecosystem as a part of our
infrastructure and I just want to mention that at core blockchain we pay a
lot of attention to early builders and I just want to drop a note here that we do
have an early builders program a grants program so if anyone wants to build the
game on core chain I will share the link to fill in the grant application
and also actually provides really great tools to simplify building the game on
court chain and yeah we're happy you know both sides are happy to support
you I think I think that's a great point it's something to talk about is anyone
who wants to build on the core chain and wants to build with our tours Altura's
tools we can promise you that we'll be offering you top-of-the-line customer
support helping you through the entire process with Alex or our developer team
making sure that your journey of using Altura and integrating web chain
blockchain backed assets in your game using a white little marketplace the
entire process throughout you'll always have support from someone on our team
and that's something that we as an infrastructure provider really believe in
and is is a huge part of our business model is making sure that people have
the support that they need when building in web 3 because it's not simple it's
not something that's common knowledge and it's still new it's still a very new
thing so a very new process everything that you're looking at is foreign to a
lot of people so we want to make sure that whoever chooses to build in web 3
or with Altura and on core has support that they need to be able to do so yeah
awesome and just to give you guys some ideas if you don't know which game to
build anything like you know on chain chess 2048 flip a coin rock-paper-scissors
casual hyper casual pvp RPG anything you have like you know full full freedom to
to build anything you want especially with Altura supporting unity SDK I just
it should be you know a low hanging fruits right there
absolutely and especially if those casual games are very popular on mobile so with with our
wallet solution any game can easily allow users to connect their wallet outside of the browser
game to essentially a mobile game without needing to have their wallet on their phone
so we have quite a lot of games using this tool I think it's very helpful and I'm excited for
the games on core especially these hyper casual games to to try it out
pretty great so yeah gaming developers if everyone listening I will jump in
