This is how you remind me of what I really am
I like you, this is a story, this is a story
This is a story, this is a story
Or in a new heart, this is a story
This is a story, this is a story Oh oh
I'm Let's go to the space! so uh
Thank you. me
Hello, I know this is a little funny thing, and I don't believe it will be all the deaf.
I feel so hot, and I'm inside all the way through.
Let's see.
Okay. okay
so Oh Terry What's up money? That's money. Enter up now at 945rocks.com
Let's go fam!
We beat the space!
Crypto fam radio!
All the way down.
Woo! What if the music is coming out?
It's really pretty scary. okay
oh Damn, the cops are out here.
Damn, fam.
Cops are out here.
Turn down that music.
Probably horrible.
Haha, it's CryptoFam Radio!
Wet Three Women Wednesday, episode 39, fam.
I see you got a request here.
Alright, it's Alexa driving.
I'm on the road! CryptoFam Radio's on the road!
What is going on, Jam Jam?
Happy Wednesday!
How's it going, Solex AI?
How you doing? How you doing? How you feeling?
How you feeling, girl?
I'm feeling good.
Feeling great.
Feeling good.
Feeling all good.
How's the music, Logan?
I bet it's pretty bad.
Yeah, I turned it off.
Sorry about that.
Dude, it's... I'm playing it off the radio.
I found out Android phones.
They just...
They're not very good speakers.
Not like Apple phones.
So, when the music comes through,
it's just...
It's so bad.
But, you know what, fam?
We're out here. I'm not supposed to
be on the road right now, but I got called into work a little bit earlier than I was supposed to
come in. So we are on the road. I'm loving life though. How's your Wednesday going, Logan? How
you doing? It's going pretty good, man. I just cut off night shift myself i know how it is getting called in um uh you're gonna you're gonna host this radio show on the road man that's that's
epics yeah man i did it last week for fearless friday uh i don't like to cancel you know like
if we're gonna run a show we'll run the show because it's recorded, you know, and I can put it on the podcast later.
And you know what? Like I've been through that phase where everything's got to be perfect. Right.
You got to have that quiet room. You got to have the music. You know, you got to have everything in order.
But then, you know what, Logan, I found out later after years trying to do that, people really don't give a shit.
You know, like more than anything, they just want to listen to something real.
They want to listen to something meaningful
and they want to listen to something
that has some depth, right?
And they want to learn something too.
And maybe we got some background noise
and maybe we got some car noises,
some sirens, whatever.
It is what it is, right?
Like that's life right there, right?
You can't cover that up
so that's what i learned anyway from doing these shows but yeah man i am loving life
i see we got homegrown creations in the house what is up homegrown i'm excited to interview you. She is our Women of Web 3 winner, the Lucky Lady of the Week.
I get to profile one lucky lady in Web 3 doing amazing work.
I picked Homebrew and Creations.
I reached out to her because she was the spark of the month with DigiJoints last month.
I'm like, well, she must be pretty amazing,
pretty awesome.
So I had to invite her up to the stage.
I had to ask, you know, it's that ask, right?
That goes a long way.
Because, you know, it's really cool to showcase
just regular, you know, regular people out
in today's world.
It doesn't really matter.
I'm a big believer in like everyone should be interviewed
or everyone should be interviewed or everyone
should try to interview other people because you learn so much from uh just asking questions right
asking questions that lead to some epic answers and that's how we start a conversation that's how
you build a rapport with someone and you never know down the road you might work together you
know we're all entrepreneurs here.
We're all growing.
This is why I love what I do.
You know, maybe one day I'll get paid for it.
But, you know, we got to keep that grind up.
Right, fam?
So I appreciate everyone coming here to support Homegrown Creations.
I know we got the crew slowly rolling in, fam.
If you're just joining us yes i
am on the road i got called into work last minute they switched my schedules around if you know
anything i have wednesdays off but but today they were like we really need you it's easter weekend
and people are flying into town and they really need a chauffeur and i was like okay
at least the pay is good right you know but at the end of the day i do mostly enjoy the driving
part you know what fam i actually enjoy the meeting new people part more because you know
if you're a driver and i'm sure a lot of you have done uber or Lyft or something in the past. It's always cool to, you know, get
to know new people. And come on, like with today's market, today's jobs that you can, I guess there's
a lot of good customer service jobs that you meet new people every day. Sometimes people you don't
like, right? You still have to serve them, right? There's plenty of jobs like that service industry jobs. And as a driver, it's like, it's another service, right? So what we do
is we do in service of others. And over time, we build that muscle, right? And you know what,
fam, I just absolutely love it. I love getting to getting to know new people and, uh, and just,
just seeing what they're all about, you know? So that's what we're here for. Web three women
Wednesday. I know it's a little bit different. I usually do this in the office, but yeah,
if you guys haven't retweeted the space yet, please do. It's probably going to be a little
bit of a shorter space today too. All so just heads up for that i want to
respect everyone's time but uh more than anything you know uh i want to respect mine
and around the time where i'm supposed to end the space i think one o'clock central standard time
run this space for about two hours i will be at the airport in the middle of picking someone up
and baggage claim so so with that being said,
we're probably going to run this space for about an hour-ish,
give or take.
That's why I kind of cut the music short today, fam.
You know, people come in, they come in.
If they come in later, then they miss the first part.
You know, so I'm just, I'm very, very grateful
that you guys are here.
And I would love to get this interview on the road
so homegrown creations if you can request that mike i'd love to get started so uh with that being
said fam uh there's a few updates that you guys can check out in the jumbotron there is the uh
the calendar or sorry the weekly schedule, the new published one this week,
make sure you guys retweet that and tag people. Uh, super appreciate that. We have a little
different programming going on every single day. And then on top of that, we got that newsletter
fam. I really want to create that list off of Twitter, off of X, because that list is going
to be super dear to me. That list is
going to be, you know, a future white list of our NFT mics. Then we're going to be dropping, you
know, once I get about 5,000 followers on this account, I got to build that social equity. You
know, we got to build that follower list. So fam, if you know anyone interested in crypto fam radio
and want to be a part of our programming you know just refer them to us
uh sign up for that newsletter tell your friends tag some crazy friends in the comments you guys
are amazing thank you so much for being here this is two this is your host just do the day
the little black cat who is not here with us today because i do not have multiple phones with
multiple internet and it's really hard to multitask
when you're driving to and trying to talk on the road on the go so i see homegrown creations has
requested the mic let's see i will approve sorry guys i am looking i'm i'm on the road i'm uh eyes
on the road always uh awesome welcome to the space homegrown creations gmgm
happy wednesday how are you doing today hey happy wednesday happy hump day i'm doing good i'm busy
busy it's almost 4 20. so i know you must be so busy uh what what are you, we'll just get right into it because like I said,
I don't know how much time I have here. So let's just get into it. Homegrown Creations,
tell me a little bit about why you're so busy and what you're gearing up for, for 420.
Introduce yourself and yeah, we'll start there. I'll keep my mouth shut. Let's go.
Introduce yourself and uh, yeah, we'll start there. I'll keep my mouth shut. Let's go
Well, i'm uh, um, i'm an edibles creator
I homegrown creations is the edibles company. We also we grow
everything we process and we create with um
Homemade everything's homemade and like natural
Like wholesome ingredients like as organic as it gets. And yeah, so that's what I do.
Did you nominate me for a spark of the month last month? So that kind of like made things busy, but it's also 420. So it's our like stoner holiday. Everybody is going to be doing Easter dinner with the munchies this year.
So that's what I'm working on.
I do a lot of like,
we can bake stuff and big streets and breads and like,
awesome stuff.
So that's what I do.
I love it. Thank you. Home homegrown creations tell me about how you got
connected with the digijoints crew where does that come from tell me about the origin story I
want to hear about that really I was just looking for like a spot to I like the background noise
while I'm working so I start work really early in the morning. I work from home even. So I'm in my kitchen at like six in the morning and DigiSpace gives me like a lot of
energy. It's fun to listen to. There's music. And I just started like hanging out in there while I
do my stuff. And I started to learn about crypto. And I'm I'm I still not sure what I'm doing but
I've learned um they they made it in a way where I kept like learning a little bit every day so
I'd like run and tell my partner this is what I learned today and it um and it was helpful so I
kept sticking around and um and I ended up sponsoring um their the um Art Basel house I sponsored um that and then
because of them I um partially because of them I got in with Redman so that made me like to hang
out more and um I've done a couple of events with Redman now over the last couple months with their Free the Green gaming tournament.
And I will be sponsoring the NFT NYC this summer with Pigeons in New York and Digi.
So we make a good team.
I like what they're doing.
I love their like
digi beat thing and I think it's a great community so that's amazing homegrown creations oh I love it
so tell me more about um how are you marketing uh mostly with your uh edibles how are you getting out there and uh yeah how are you sharing your
business so we do a couple of um on the weekends we do a couple of like canna markets like
underground um like farmer market with cannabis and we set up our table there and then out in, um,
like Ithaca and like the Finger Lakes area,
kind of where we end up.
mostly online here,
like Twitter's been fantastic for like my outreach to be on it.
I just post up stuff wherever I can and try to get some traction and get new people to try my stuff.
And that's pretty much it. Word of mouth. I live on a mountain up in upstate New York. So there's
like no one up here. So I had to find a way outside of my bubble or it wasn't going to work.
So I had to start reaching for like opportunities wherever I could find them. And I found like the crypto space is really like it almost needed like a friendly like edibles outlet that isn't gummies and like something high quality.
So I brought it.
I love that.
And you said you're up in New York, right?
So you're leveraging social media
So it sounds like you're leveraging your personal connections when I was first introduced to you homegrown
Was at art basil in miami where I met the digijoint crew
I really enjoyed you know, they had their own little like goodie bags and stuff and they had a bunch of your stuff
Like you just don't do baked goods right you also do cheese and stuff yeah we got some drinkables on
the menu where we do we i found like a really good quality like loose leaf iced tea that's like
mostly fruit based and um so we infused those with live rosin and local honey and agave.
And they're really like delicious.
They go down smooth.
They're really yummy.
And then we do a bunch of candies.
I started rolling out my new bubble gum recently.
So I make a really good bubble gum.
I'm like amazed it came out so well.
I'm so kind of proud of myself.
So it chews really well.
It makes those big like, bubblicious bubbles.
And it's really good.
And it's infused with live rosin.
So I've been working on that.
And I've got, like, some other candy stuff.
And, like, we do some, like, seasonal specialty things.
And, yeah, I like the menus full.
I keep adding to the skill, to, like, a new skill every, like like the menus full. I keep adding to the skill to like a new skill every like couple of months. Like I learned how to do candy and then I moved on to another thing. So ADHD is like my superpower like that. So I just kind of lean in when I get bored.
No, I totally understand that. That is amazing. Like, seriously, like, what inspires you to, like, keep extending your, I guess, repertoire when it comes to different types of foods?
and wander away to like the new project if I don't keep adding something that's
beneficial to the overall project. So there's the overall project and then I just keep adding like
fun new little like experiments and I don't want to say hobbies but that's kind of what it turns
into. To it and as long as it falls under umbrella, it's beneficial and I'm not wasting my time, if that makes sense.
So, yeah, so I just like when I get a little bit bored or things start getting stale for me,
I'll go like dig on the Internet for something new to do or ask people for suggestions.
And I've been working on learning how to make croissants the last few weeks.
Actually, that's what I sent you were my danishes made with croissant bases
and like the donut holes I've been working on.
Yeah, so every time I get a little bit bored or it gets a little stale,
I'll throw something new in there.
That's amazing. I'm so excited for those croissants, by the way. Oh my gosh. I'm very,
very pumped to get more of those. I want to, I want to take a moment and ask you like,
what, what was your inspiration behind starting your business? Like as a like edible uh baked goods like gourmet food was it
is this like it runs in the family or is this like been a a long passion project of yours like
i want to hear more about that so i've always always since i was the kid since they told me
i couldn't have i've been like super passionate about weed and cannabis and like from like younger years
and I really got um got smart about like hash and concentrates and stuff like early on like before
it was cool like we were washing a couple hash and stuff and I got really good at like growing
plants but what I noticed like every time a state legalized,
like the only beneficial part of New York waiting so long is we got to watch a bunch of other states
legalize. And if you were paying attention, feed kind of ends up. If you're really good at growing
flour, it still kind of devalues after it legalizes. So you need a value product. And both me and my partner are like service
industry kind of people. And on top of it, I come from like old school Italian. So my grandmother
had me in like her kitchen from like the time I could stand on a chair. And I just kind of took like lifelong skills and an obsession with concentrates and cannabis and learning how to work with it over the years and like combined it.
And like the second that New York, it looked like it was safe to like set up a table in public.
I just went for it.
And then it just kind of keeps evolving and growing.
And we keep like slow and steady.
Like I don't make any like big changes or anything like over time,
like I'll tweak a little thing here and there and make small improvements.
And it seems to be working out for us.
So, and this is where I am after three years of like starting with bread.
Plus I started entering contests.
So I have a couple of, I've won four different edible contests.
One for miscellaneous I took first place.
I took first place twice for my cookies and second on my bread in my first contest.
on my bread in my first contest.
And that kind of made me a lot of crave
to keep improving things and trying to stay top tier.
And just be able to survive the beginning part
of this new industry.
Because mediocre doesn't win.
You have to be on top for a small brand to stay alive.
So I just kind of, like I said, I leaned into it.
And it works for us.
Like, it's been beneficial.
So I just keep going with it.
Definitely Homegrown Creations.
I want to hear more about these contests.
Why do you think it was so important to you to win, like, six times award winning?
And I had no idea about these, like, contests for Bay Baked Goods. Why do you think it was so important to you to win like six times award winning?
And I had no idea about these like contests for Bay Baked Goods.
That's kind of mind blowing.
You know, well, we in New York, we have a very like old running cannabis festival that I enter.
And they have the contest every year.
And one year I felt like confident enough to enter it.
And since then, I just keep going back. The cannabis contest, like we kind of fell into,
it's just a small little,
I don't even know what to call them.
It's a small group out of Ithaca, New York,
that started it with Nughogger,
and they started these Battle of the Buds.
And it's all New York local growers,
and they're putting up the best of the best against each other.
And it forces small businesses to actually like challenge yourself.
You're challenging others.
you're improving the market this way is the way I look at it.
we were like,
like the dark horse.
Like we entered the contest,
like unexpected last minute.
We threw in what we had on the table and we won two months in a row with it and and we
just do everything um with living soil we do a couple of um natural korean guarding kind of um
extra ferments and stuff in our cycle and um it's pretty like simple, like our system simplified.
And we just, we did well against our peers. And then they are actually growing that whole situation with, gosh, what are they called?
I'm like, I can't remember.
But they're doing like bigger festivals out towards Buffalo now with the Battle of the Buds.
So it's cool that that contest is like bi-monthly.
Usually they're trying to do it more like more often.
But you are judged by your peers and by by customers like.
And and so that's how that happened and and like I said like every time you
enter something like that you challenge yourself to do a little bit better you're trying to like
bring a new standard to like your small industry that's like just beginning and um I think all of
that's important so just keep participating participating. And stay in relevant.
We are still living in the gray area,
so we're not quite, like, ready to license yet.
So I figure just keep adding those things
while we're getting, like, all of our ducks in a row
will be beneficial.
So that's...
Thank you. So that's...
Are you still there?
So I'm up here.
I can hear. I just wanted to say that I can hear you, Homegrown Creations.
I do not hear CryptoFam, so hopefully he's just maybe having a connection issue for a
Hopefully.
If for some reason, y'all, if real quick, if for some reason the space goes down, I
know CryptoFam will spin it right back up, so just make sure y'all look for us, we'll pop right back in, if for some reason the space goes down, I know CryptoFam will spin it right back up. So just make sure you all look for us.
We'll pop right back in if for some reason it goes down.
Do you have a question?
I actually, as a stoner and hearing about this award winning gourmet infused baked yummies that are just going around.
this award-winning gourmet infused baked yummies that are just going around.
I guess a question for you just because I love what you guys are doing.
I don't necessarily have a question on that,
but I'd like to ask a personal question in the sense of what is,
if it hasn't already been asked today,
what is your favorite strain or what is your go-to?
My like literal daily driver is a super silver haze crosser the red congolese
and it um it's like amazing and keeps me like like like focused and even all day long like it's my
favorite favorite like and then and then like secondary would probably be our like chai latte that
it gives you like a heavier buzz but it's still what are the terps on that one on the what did
you say the name of that one was again the chai latte across the commando and it kind of like
picture lemon lime gatorade and like bright in your face
and what are the top three
for Terp in that one
oh I don't even
know what the top ones it has to be
a lemonine
it like screams
lemon and citrus
and I don't know it actually is never
I don't think it's ever been tested.
Not even the breeder.
It sounds like they're in terpenylene.
I have no idea.
It's a curious question though.
Maybe I'll get somebody to like
put it through a testing.
The breeder itself,
the guys who bred it,
what are their names?
Candyman Organics.
I don't think they have tested it either.
We're trying to get it to take the Battle of the Buds.
So like both groups, we all grow about the same.
So it keeps coming out like about the same, but like one will be stronger than the other.
Like occasionally, it depends on whoever's running it.
And we keep putting it up for the
battle of the buds but it doesn't seem to want to win but it's like a middle like we can't figure
out why because the gas that's up there is usually stronger that day or something but um yeah so it's
but it's uh like it tested out the most I know is it tested at 22%.
But I don't know the terpene.
It's just like white lemons and citrus.
And it has like a little bit of like a skunk finish to it.
Like it's a little skunky.
So just from, I'm going to take a shot in the dark here,
but just guessing or knowing a lot about Terps for me, I would say the way you just described that, because I've written articles about so many different flavors and scents.
penile lean probably because you're talking about that lemonade that lemony kind of citrusy flavor
and then that skunkiness you either got a mercy and or a pining on that back end
especially because you probably get that on the exhale without a doubt that's pretty like that's
pretty spot on from like what we like looked up those are that's where we came up with too
without a doubt um that's awesome i i
have to do you guys uh so do you guys do any kind of and i came in late so this is my bad uh any kind
of shipping or or how does uh do you guys are you guys in dispensaries um we we are in real life went on the, on Saturdays and Ithaca and also Syracuse,
but we do shipping like within the U S we do shipping anyway.
Okay, cool. Yeah. Pretty simple, simple packaging.
Everything's sealed. Everything's marked.
Do you guys have, and again, forgive me if i missed this part earlier
i'm just asking questions because i haven't heard crypto fam radio come back yet
where did your what is your guys future um in your in a scenario, what is your guys's future building plans on all this? How,
where would you love to see it? Um, where would you like to, um, even if it means moving locations
and things like that, what is kind of that, that dream plan, um, for you guys at Homegrown
Creations as you grow here? Even if we do have to move, because that's come up a few times recently, we hope to be able
to continue the type of operation we are. So we are an organic living soil. We grow everything
ourselves. We process everything in-house and we create everything ourselves everything's from
scratch and um in a perfect world we would be able to produce more flour and also like be in
a whole brick and mortar with a license but um but right now like that just seems so like big
i don't know how else to explain it.
No, it's okay.
I always tell people to dream big.
It's good to dream big.
That's what I wanted to hear.
I just want it to be, like, attainable.
Like, I don't mind going in big.
I just want to know that I will, like, be able to achieve the ultimate goal at that point.
Yeah, and we might have to move to a like a more accessible state unfortunately but yeah because you guys are New York based right?
I'm sorry I didn't mean to catch that. Yeah yeah Syracuse I have family in Syracuse or had family
in Syracuse they moved a couple years ago but yeah i know the area yeah and
they're just they're just having a hard time making it accessible to the smaller brands
and i don't want to have to be like fortune 500 brand to be able to um
you afford all the parts of being legal
being legal like the uh carrying all the overhead of being a legal business it's like with with the
licensing and stuff between lawyers and and everything else it just it just seems too big
yeah but we'll get there you guys will and And also, you know, speaking...
