you know what's good
what's up guys
i don't know if I could hear anybody as a listener
you came here?
i couldn't as a listener when i requested came up
wasn't speaking he was he was just DME people and getting people on stage that's
why wait you didn't hear music no there's no music what music the music
was playing on my end it was terrible but y'all hear me down there right all
right so they got a little thing we got to talk about I got an iPhone right so
that mic mode you got to make sure it's in standard if you just select if it's
voice isolation nobody's gonna hear anything you're saying it like any music
in the background I don't think anybody can hear can the audience here can
thumbs up the audience all right yeah yeah cool yeah wait what are you
talking about action I was talking about the music from Twitter oh yeah
Twitter Mills music ain't working dude oh that was dead yeah guys we got real
music if we need it Twitter's not working there is no Twitter sex I can't
get used to it yeah Michael what's good man how are you it's good to meet you
bro yeah it's good to be here guys I'm thrilled to have a conversation around
deep in and and meet some of you guys and everything is good today nice man
nice nice nice I'm excited to uh to jump into the conversation I just want to
make sure that I get this out if y'all can obviously everybody listen and
please retweet this space I'm just throwing it into hey action where's your
community Lucas hooked me up with a nice big community of 6900 people that I get
to do this with then I get to throw this into where's yours I mean bring up mask
browser what you're asking mask is here bro
quantum's ear who else do you want let's go I love it
Scott's here let's do it hey that's what happens when you try to call me out live
I just I immediately come back at you well I can give you a whole a whole slew
of things go get helium go get grass go get come on I know I know you know I
love the money I've made with helium but let's be serious none of those guys
are gonna show up on stage and actually have like uncensored conversations let's
let's be real about this any action you're tripping bro they've been pulling
up on to black rock onyx they're all coming on spaces bro I didn't have it in
my uh I literally did not have this in my bingo card of 2024 seeing onyx on
spaces like dunking on people like I was like actually because I was a set bro I
had I had to eat my words bro I was like they're never coming on spaces are
you guys kidding me like they're never coming and then they all went on the
same one and I'm like I gotta go in my space and apologize I was like yo I
said they weren't coming to spaces and they're here like this is crazy man
they're all up there and dunking on people I was like I didn't okay they're
here and they're talking crap wow this is very interesting let's go I was more
surprised they all knew how to like use the mic on mic off button you know 99%
of like when they come into the space it's like yeah no no that was the gun
that was supposed to be the gun shots fired action come on man I need to me a
soundboard
so good I cannot wait for this I need to learn all about deep ends let's go baby
let's go baby let's go let's go I'm just finishing throwing it in but Blake are
you there on the gaming account what's up bro yeah I'm doing good but I'm doing
good how are you I'm good man Scott Scott Braggs good to hear your voice again good to see you
bro Blake man the legend I love this guy right here man this this is a real
builder in the space man like this is these are the kind of people that that
you know you want to support I've got to talk to talk to him a few times you
know on calls man just a good dude building some some good stuff and I
really think like you know like we'll get into it obviously in the show but
like what he's doing I think you know being on the front and pioneer of this
like you know he'll go down in history man so excited to be here with everybody
I love it I love it I love it well Blake I mean like you got to kind of live up
to that now so I mean why don't you kind of kick us off so I mean this is
this is a deep in conversation right like I want you to weave in obviously
game it into there kind of what you guys are doing and then I want us to get into
this I want us to talk about the other deep in you know projects that are out
there currently what are we currently experiencing so I want this to be
interactive fuck me like none of this hand-raising bullshit like let's just
have a really good conversation let's teach some people some shit because
people that are in here right now probably have no idea what the hell a
deep in is so yeah let's go with that let's like let's start with the
definition of deep in right like so pretty sure that physical physical
infrastructure is like top six kryptonite narrative I think it was like
Queen Gekko was checking out it's like gaming and AI right at the top and then
you had six plates was that and so deep in is it actually stands for decentralized
physical infrastructure network a little bit of a tongue twist to try say
that three times while you're drunk a few shots of tequila but yeah that's
effectively what it stands for there are a number of deep in projects that exist
game and is one of them you've got render network more widely known there
are top 50 coin 1.5 I think it's like maybe 1.7 billion dollar fdv right now
you've got a cash network another deep in 500 mil market cap you've got grass I
think I've seen grass like floating around I've seen not floating around
I've seen a few few of these other ones but yeah wolf like you just tell me what
you want to say man and I can dive into whatever direction yeah I mean but when
we talk like decentralized physical infrastructure network we might as well
be speaking Japanese like to some of these people you know I mean it's like
wait a minute what exactly does that mean and what the what the hell does it
do I think like maybe talk about like how I guess actually know what let's
go around the panel and I want to hear what you guys got like when you think
like when you define when you're talking to like sister brother cousin that
doesn't know shit from shit about this stuff what are you saying to them what
deepens is oh no so yeah like it's funny like so I try to like even with
crypto now I try to explain it like without even bringing up like hide all
the wires right like there's no wires showing shout out my brother bread is
up here like we talk about this literally every day together like I try
to like break it down as a story bro like we were talking about this
yesterday bread like I'm a storyteller now in deep in I'm not an on-border I'm
not a marketer I'm not a digital strategist you know I'm just like
telling a story so like a lot of people don't know like uber right uber is a
deep in right but it's centralized so it's not decentralized so the best way
it is like take something that already exists and go yo mom you know uber not
that you know my mom's an uber driver but she calls for ubers I go yo
imagine the uber driver gets to keep 99% you know because there's no centralized
uber taking the fee paying the workers paying the offices all those overhead
fees that you have to have imagine so teleport right well this I you know I'm
just using it for example no partnership with them or anything teleports trying
to be the decentralized uber where they're gonna pass on you know all that
savings on to the actual driver where they're not gonna take 10% of everything
so another great one to show examples wing bits right me and bread guy got to
meet the founder talked to this guy every day he took airplane hobbyist
right airplane hobbyist all put their antennas up on their house anyway and
they look at their flight radar they they can look at their airplanes in the
sky click on them but they never get paid for that data ever right and that's
the dope thing about deep and you are gonna get rewarded for doing these
actions so these airplane hobbyists are all buying including me and bread we
bought fucking Amazon airplane antennas that connect to a raspberry pie now me
and bread are independent like air traffic radars and what we're doing is
farming and what is really cool about deep in because another question is how
is the money being made and like what what is this data doing me and bread have
just found out everyone and Blake helped me out with this to everyone that's
buying the data it's just the web two companies right this T-Mobile buying
telecommunications it's uh the dish you know all the dish companies the TV dish
companies they're buying the telecommunication or they're lining up
to buy it yeah Lockheed Martin you know is probably calling wing bits it's all
the traditional data buyers and if you really look uh Raytheon and Lockheed
Martin spent a half a billion dollars on radar data alone just those two
companies so like just imagine you know like you add all the companies up and
then now they're all lined up to buy the data from people like Blake or use
Blake's GPUs and you think these companies are gonna stand on the side
and go yo T-Mobile to say 40 million dollars using you know bread and Scott
and Wolf's portable 5g antennas no everyone's gonna want to be involved so
I think this is the greatest I don't even say it's onboarding because you're
watching truck drivers me and bread watch this guy dark virus made a truck
driver coalition and now all these truck drivers you know are using deep in I
love it I love it so I want to go even I mean like I feel like we get so excited
about this stuff but I want to go even simpler right so for everybody in the
room here now if you've heard of you've probably heard of like the helium
network right you've probably seen it around that purple logo it came it shot
up it went it shot down that token now look pretty but ultimately what this is
is this is what's considered the shared economy right so think of like
when you look at helium mobile right it's a community driven mobile network
right so what you do is you literally take like you can set up in your home
like you heard Scott just mentioned a raspberry pie right you can take these
small little devices right but helium provides you one right in your home or
your business yeah really make you buy this stuff who got it for free no no not
for free oh I said supplies it to you you got to pay for it I didn't say it
was free but what you do is by setting this up it's like you're setting up like
a wireless network right like in your house or your business and in return
you're getting actual rewards in the helium token now how does that actually
make sense this is where Blake I think from a gaming standpoint right I think
that example really drives it home in terms of wait so you're saying I can use
my GPU just from gaming give us kind of like the the 411 in terms of how you
guys are kind of like rewarding rewarding users yeah so like I guess five
years ago these guys they figured it like very forward-thinking they figured
out there was gonna be a massive AI boom probably got a bit lucky on how big
it's become but look really forward-thinking guys and they were like
there's gonna be a huge AI boom is gonna be a massive need for computational
power and because GPUs which is basically what creates computational
power because they're so difficult to create we're not gonna be able to create
the same create the the supply of them at the same rate that the demand is
gonna increase by and there's gonna be a huge shortage and just this week like I
think it's good to understand this right just this week meta or Zuckerberg spent
ten and a half billion on GPUs to basically pull into their network and
then you've also got Sam Altman founder of open AI aka Chuck GPT who was reported
you know in an article basically trying to raise eight billion dollars to to buy
more GPUs so like you know huge problem costs of computational power is actually
on the rise drastically at the moment you've got people like Nvidia who rent
out or other centralized warehouses who rent out GPUs for like five thousand
dollars minimum per month all the way up to like twenty thousand dollars per
month per GPU right massive numbers and so yeah these guys gaming figured out
well where is the biggest source of dormant GPUs where does it sit now like
oh shit sits in the PCs of everyday PC gamers and so they figured out well look
like how would we how would we pull all those people in all those gamers and and
like somehow utilize and monetize that GPU for them so they built a gaming
platform to date which is live that houses various games on it like GTA 5
Minecraft rusty name it and they allow gamers to download the platform of which
300,000 gamers have done so far and we currently have 50,000 monthly active
gamers who share their GPU with us share their unused or spare GPU power with us
and it's as simple as one click like literally you download the platform you
open up the dashboard top right hand corner click the button on done we take
care of all the the GPU I guess like you would say submission to the platform on
the back end we do it all for the gamer and so to give you to give you reference
of numbers render network who are a 1.7 billion dollar market cap ftv they have
a total of 1,140 GPUs online per quarter according to an article that they
wrote on medium I can I can find that article for you we in comparison to their
1,140 per quarter have over 50,000 per month where the world's largest source of
decentralized GPUs that exists and if I could just say this to we're only just
coming out of beta with these numbers we haven't even started marketing yet this
is our adoption already it's like it's like a unicorn honestly the guys like you
know I'm privileged to be able to talk about this stuff and be that be the head
of web 3 marketing for gaming and I'm proud to just be able to talk facts like
it's insane because usually in web 3 we don't see this we we see a lot of people
make a lot of promises and then not deliver whereas game and they've done it
the other way around like two years ago this is this is like it's bigger than
just that right there's a huge flywheel ecosystem they've got plans to like
really like grow this right and I don't want to get too left fieldy a bit two
years ago they were like well how do we get gamers to trust us once the platform
is out and we want to activate like you know mass marketing so they they acquired
some talent scouts who bought a small eSports team and invested a whole bunch
of money and grew it to what it is today which they probably didn't realize back
then it would become but it's currently the the world's third best eSports
organization that exists they've had 53 top three placings in the last 12
months they won three or five t1 majors back-to-back which is a record they've
amassed 12 billion impressions in the last year or that all sounds great right
but it's like what does that what does that mean what they're doing is they've
done that as it as a means of credibility to onboard the next millions
of gamers once they activate that that side of it for the eSports sorry for
the gaming platform so that's what I meant by we're just in beta coming out
of it and we're about to do that and this is already our adoption and we're
miles ahead of the competition so but in saying that render network people like
them they're great demand side aggregators for deep in right like as you
know they have like all this sort of they have like all this exposure that
they've found it is a great job in like trying to connect himself with Apple
vision or whatever and like sort of tying that back to render I'm not sure
how it works exactly but they're great demand side aggregators what we are here
to do is be the biggest supply side aggregators and we would power not only
render network we would power entire blockchains like I'll just use Solana
for example I didn't I didn't know this until yesterday but apparently Solana
has a thousand nodes active at any one time which I'd like to be 1100 yeah
1100 oh my god okay Jesus like I thought it was hundreds of thousands like they're
like the fastest blockchain and it's only 1100 we we have like 50,000 over a
month and we're just getting started that's GPUs that can all be turned into
nodes and we would be able to not only like power rendering we would like which
is jobs that we do already right now just kind of in these early stages but
we'd also be able to power whole blockchains as well multiple blockchains
at the same time so yeah like this is that's effectively what gaming is doing
there's more to the flyover than that like we've also got we actually I don't
want to go too far down the rabbit hole I'll just stop it there and well that's
what gets me that's what gets me real quick that's what gets me excited that
all this stuff is already existing right it's already here it's already the
community's already here I don't know why Mike's laughing but I'll let him go
I'm just waiting to hear what's going next Oh action what's good I mean you
guys are being way too nice about deep and let's talk about the bad stuff too
so the reason why Solana doesn't have as many validators it's because super
expensive for you to run a validator note for Solana the specs on those
machines are ridiculous so like when people like gaming comes along and says
you know what forget about all of that you know let's not spend more money on
you know tech instead let's leverage what's already being used and or not
being used in this case right like deep user not being utilized let's put them
to work like that's the beauty of deep in like that's what I like to see like
sure Solana super fast as all this stuff but it's super centralized when it comes
down to it because for you to run one of those validator servers dude it's so
you want to have them inside of a data center like this type of machine is not
something that people run out of their homes usually so yeah I mean leveraging
existing tech is where it's at and it's why I made that personal invite for
masses to come up here and like I actually be part of this conversation
because they're not about selling people hardware like they believe in the same
thing that you guys are doing over there gaming it's a matter of bringing people
together leveraging existing you know technology and saying you know what
instead of you know throwing things into landfill we're gonna go ahead and
take advantage of it and use it for the good right cuz that that that's what
means the most means like how are you gonna leverage the technology if you're
not doing it the right way if you're just they have some go buy more stuff
like a hint hint helium you've got a body from a specific you know
manufacturer that's playing $20 for location plus five I mean $20 for
activation plus five dollars for you know for you be able to place your
location and then they build up that token value and all of a sudden comes
crashing that one people decide to dump like well don't get me wrong my helium
mobile tokens I made a good chunk of change on there like I'm just gonna be
honest with you like you know thirteen hundred percent overnight is it's pretty
decent not gonna not not complaining but I much rather see a network that's
gonna make everybody money long term even if it's not as much but it's
supporting a good infrastructure for you know for good things hey actually let
me just add to that a second there because you talked about the helium
mobile token but let's not take away from actually what helium mobile is
doing by allowing and affording people across the country let's say in the US
to pay $20 a month for unlimited cell phone service which compared to any you
know carrier out there right now AT&T T-Mobile you're not getting a $20 a plan
a month so it's not just about earning mobile tokens it's just significantly
reducing your cost to be connected you're doing and is connected to T-Mobile
so it's like you're not even sacrificing any of the data but I
actually I love what you said about the existing stuff too because like all the
I this is why I'm so but me and Brad are so bullish on EOT because you're just
leveraging every IOT device that already exists and then you got companies like
was it a do who can literally you know make any IOT device in the freakin
world talk to the blockchain like what you know or use AI agents so like I
think what actually what you said like even though I do like helium I think you
know what you preface with is absolutely true and you're seeing it with like all
these just like these random communities that already exist somewhere else and
you're just showing them the tech now now that whole community is literally in
quote unquote web 3 now and it's like blowing my mind every sector for like we
talked about recycling garbage now if you were talking about putting sensors
and landfills like every single person is about to come to web 3 and they don't
buy NFTs they don't care about my board 8 they don't care about my pudgy penguin
like and you know I love my penguins but they don't like that they're not here
for this they're here just to help and be part of the the get get what they
deserve from what was getting stolen from them anyway like I think a lot of
people don't realize that either like like my mom's like well what are they
doing with this data my mom they were taking the data from you everywhere you
went anyway because I was telling her about the demo car thing right you know
and she's just like well what do they do with my car I'm like mom when you go
take the the raft for to the Honda for you know to the to the Honda place and
you plug the car in they're stealing everything from you anyway you had no
choice and when I broke it down like that then she's like oh oh well then
that doesn't seem that doesn't seem too bad I do care boil it down even for you
know I mean like essentially what actions saying you know cuz I agree with
them it's like there's you know it from people that are just still like their
head is swimming right now with all these fucking acronyms that we keep
bringing to web 3 you know it's like at the end of the day you know it's it's
it's Farmville you know it's login and then put your phone in your pocket and
walk away and earn you know some sort of reward or a token or whatever you
know and it's like it's an it's an old model of essentially trying to reward
people for passive activities idle gaming things like that you know mixed
with paying people you know give rewarding people for the activities that
are also doing you know so it's like well while I'm not holding my phone I'm
actually going out to take a walk and I'm gonna put on you know my Fitbit and
talk to health blocks and I'm gonna put you know my other phone in my pocket for
salencio and I'm gonna map the locations through with like hive and you know I
mean there's so many things that you can just get rewarded for list your
activities that you're doing anyway you know and I just think it's it's it's
important to note that like within D pin right not to like throw even more fucking
acronyms around right but like within D pin you have physical resource networks
and digital resource networks you know and it's like essentially like physical
tangible location base bring this with you share the data versus tapping in
sharing your internet bandwidth sharing your GPU sharing you know any of the
essentially digital kind of assets that you a bread in our sharing like this is
why I love the action said to us we just go to bed at night we say we have a
mobile bandwidth sharing thing on our phone you know an app to us we're just
giving extra internet think about what action said somebody in China can't even
access their Facebook now they can buy 10 minutes of action and breads bandwidth
for the internet run that proxy node no you know talk to her cousins in San
Francisco out here in the Bay Area you know pay her little eight dollars she
doesn't have to like pay some crazy you know VPN internet in a different
country she could usually just use actions and BC what we just go to bed at
night hitting that extra button literally like I actually say it's
literally helping someone communicate with their family in a different country
where Facebook or whatever it's Twitter is banned so I think a lot of people
don't even think about it already Corey just described mass just described a
mask oh your your audio is all jacked up you sound like a dolphin you sound
like a dolphin you might have to upgrade but I'm sorry I know I know I'm talking
about using old tech but you might have to upgrade on that one yeah that was
it that was the nine-step AOL sign-up process mom I'm on the come on the
internet already AOL shit I'll what's good yo what's going on guys and I love
the conversation here it's funny you mentioned AOL I actually don't ever tell
people this but my grandfather was he like helps like co-founded I believe but
he's estranged from the family now so it's like it has no benefit to me
whatsoever he doesn't talk to my side of the family but my mom just had to point
out that oh yeah your father's like really good of your grand my grandfather
or your grandfather my father is really good friends like Bill Gates and shit
and he was really big into the early tech tech days and I was like oh well
where is he and she's like oh well he's gone and I'm like oh cool thanks mom I'll
look yeah exactly yeah that might as well be my connection to my grandfather at this
point hey I'll it's good to meet you first time coming onto a space you don't
want to throw shots at the host calling him real fucking old because he threw
an AOL reference to compare and get to your grandfather but welcome and go for
it you know thank you for having me up man I am no shots intended AOL was the
shit back in the day bro come on instant messenger dude I use that come on it was
good times good time unless you picked a long-distance number to connect with
then you were in trouble yeah actually actually makes a good point actually
makes a great point I do miss the dial-up tone too man good times good
old days having to yell at my mom to get off the phone when I was in the
middle of a cartoon network gaming on on my Mac back in the day but yeah I was
gonna say the thing with defense to you kind of like what I'm what bread was
saying before is that the deep in networks they become it's almost like a
positive feedback loop because the more users you have the more secure it
becomes and the more people that get rewarded thus incentivizing more people
to join and then it spreads the network and makes it more secure and you have
different data points coming in so I love that feature of deep ends that I
just wanted to add that I think I think what you're referring to is almost like
a network effect in essence right like there's an organic network effect and
then there's like obviously like a force network effect that you can do through
referral in systems and whatnot but I think that the organic network effect is
like super powerful and especially like I think with the kind of money that you
can make right with deep in like early days like right now just using gaming as
the example purely for the example like if users are making 60 cents to a dollar
per day well as like you know deep in starts to grow and like you start seeing
bigger bigger returns because pipelines are opening up and adoption happens like
on not only like the user side but also like the the company side as well like
with the B2B transactions but sorry dealings I should say then you start to
see like higher earnings per user and like I guess maybe it doesn't apply to
every deep in but typically speaking you definitely need to have that demand for
that particular deep in for it to obviously grow and so in our instance
users would eventually then start making five dollars a day ten dollars a day
twenty thirty like you know I think that that in that in essence then pushes
into like I guess those less developed countries not saying that they can all
afford like the the setup of like a massive like I don't know like a well
built PC like a 5k setup maybe they can only afford something that's second hand
or or whatever it is but then all of a sudden you have this new I wouldn't say
it's not a creator economy but it's like it's like a second second economy that
comes into it because your deep in then almost becomes like a meta of sorts or
like in essence where it's like it becomes a business model for some people
you know like we even saw people one of our whales talking talking about that
today and saying he wants to start a GPU farm right to plug into the network and
I don't know like I think yeah sorry I went went a little left of the network
effect but I think that's so important to touch on and I think it's like massive
fucking laughing yeah yeah you're spot-on dude and like to add like it's
kind of like I was explaining hive mapper to someone today and I was
thinking I was telling them like listen this is so big like an idea like this
like you can have more accurate map data than what Google Maps like provides
essentially because you have more up-to-date data it's being updated more
regularly and you have like thousands of different data points on the same street
you know at the same time and so it's almost like you can check hive mapper
and go oh wow like this data is more reliable than good what Google is
offering I just love that feature well I just want to tap in on that because I
love the idea of you bringing up hive mapper because it also touches in what
Scott earlier mentioned with demo and the idea it's not just the rewards that
you can earn but it's the rewards that you've earned from the service for
example with demo you get to understand the diagnostics on your vehicle without
having to maybe go to a mechanic and then pay certain amount of money to get
them to diagnose what's going on with your vehicle so you can save money while
making money so I think that is very attractive especially to people that have
no idea even what blockchain technology is and that allows for that mass
adoption as opposed to saying everyone will come to us it's kind of like
meeting somewhere in the middle and then onboarding people and letting them
figure it out while they're earning and saving all right since you guys are
letting it all out I'll tell you guys this as well also tech crunch base with
demo with hive mapper just take look for like an Amir guy in there and see who's
investing money into these platforms that has made money with a cough cough
helium before so you can expect prices to hump it wasn't it also what you guys
just talking about hive mapper it was pretty much free to get the device
because they gave you the same and the equivalent amount of tokens which by the
way were then next day listed on coinbase and then friggin pumped literally
like the day after I think I saw a wolf you're gonna throw your phone wolf at
the Solana Foundation event last year I don't know if anyone was there as well
they they headed at the Solana headquarters at NMT NYC hive mapper I
told this story yesterday they they had a like a little like this is us bro
people were falling asleep in their chair and same thing with backpack and
this is before mad lads came out all these people that could have networked
with high mapper mad lads backpack there are all their teams were there
given presentations the Asian dude from high mapper had everyone like going
outside smoking blunts people were like this like no one was paying attention
and I'm like dude I'm sitting there with John who works at you good now and I'm
just like this is gonna be something but it was so crazy how like what you're
saying well no one it wasn't a D gen money-making thing so nobody gave two
shits everyone just like you put this in your car you should have heard all
the whispers like they were laughing at this guy and here we are I write the
thread on the 14th because the coinbase listing I was like yo bread I'm gonna
fucking write about you know just cuz I'm love I'm just gonna write about high
mapper then to see them go down eBay for $2,800 now it's just it's so funny it's
like web 3 we've never learned like the DJ's never learned we literally was
freed I think the coin was zero point zero zero zero six or some wild shit
like that and then boom now people pay five grand it's not sexy right it's
cuz this stuff isn't sexy to a lot of people it's very boring you know and I
honestly the more boring something is the more interested I get in it cuz I'm
like oh there's something here dude there's like there's something here you
gotta read between the lines and read the fine print but if you're like falling
asleep in your chair and that's when you gotta like wake up and realize oh
crap this is probably a goldmine got him so I'm so surprised to hear you say
that cuz hive mapper has been one of my favorite projects and you know they
they're I've been to their corporate office they're one that they run like a
business not a crypto frat house but I'm glad to see that with the blunt comment
you know they're easing up a little bit there they're not as tense but no
seriously I I really like the discussion here but I if I may interject
quick background on myself been a network engineer for over a decade now
have a YouTube channel where we mostly focus on deep in projects and I'm
something it's something I'm really passionate about I very much believe in
the mission of having this decentralized shared services economy for the people
and having that sovereignty over our data and taken back with ours from the
big companies that have been sticking to it sticking it to us for years but I just
see so much degeneracy and so many pipe dreams and just a lot of malfeasance
mispractice incompetence in this space and I've been one of the biggest
critics of so many of these projects and unfortunately one of the only people and
I have to give credit to action CEO thanks for inviting me in here but he
does good opposition research and comes out and says some things when they need
to be said but a lot of this that I'm seeing from many content creators and
many people in the space there's so many grifters not enough people willing to
call him out and many of these projects put people at risk without disclosing it
and you know the decentralized VPNs one of the biggest examples of this and
although I will admit it does have its place there are risks to that it can't
anything can get hacked many of the developers involved in some of these
smaller projects are complete amateurs just trying to stick stuff together they
create Ponzi nomic type of token distribution which like absolutely boggles
my mind that nobody says anything about it be nice Joe tell me about the
security Joe price foundation was down there don't be be nice go easy okay it's
not even just them I mean so security in particular if I connect to anyone's
device I mean technically I'm using your IP and I can do whatever I want from it
whether I want to torrent movies and you get the piracy notice from your ISP
saying knock it off in some countries you get fined or I can do I mean it's
basically I use your IP to carry out hacking attacks you know I can funnel
botnet traffic through that whatever you want to do to hide behind someone's IP
and you know there's a lot of people who don't understand how it works as like
yes a lot of the digital forensics is done on the application level but some
law enforcement does not care because it's still coming from your IP and
you're still the one in the ring go ahead and Joe this is why you're not
getting those sponsorships that I told you about you got a 10k on YouTube
negative Nancy you're being too honest about this stuff man I told you it's I
have a day job you gotta do that I have a day job that pays well and I'd rather
be able to look at myself in the mirror every morning then you know drown myself
in money and sponsorships and some I don't know Joe you good don't listen to
you because it's true like it's really how it happens like if you're the guy
that's gonna be out there pumping you're gonna get the cloud right like and here
you shout out its network bits if you guys want to check them out on YouTube
but Joe like I think that somebody that's here like hey Cory is your mic
ready because talk talk to me about this whole thing cuz I mean I do share my
internet traffic using masks right and like I I have DNS blockers so people
don't torrent from my network there are means of doing it the right way there
are if if you're there Cory hundred percent am I still talking like a
dolphin good looking dolphin nah man that's awesome to be up here thanks for
the invite and lots of really smart banter and discussion here but I like
how it's a bit casual you know none of the hands nonsense just come up come up
and speak but Joe you're so right man I relate to so much of what you say I'm a
builder that's been in the space for a while and not doing it to enrich myself
and the thing about masks is we thought about those things from the from the
early days because you're so right like people don't understand if they want to
share something to earn something there's always sort of like trade-offs
right and if someone's trying to say oh yeah I'm gonna share my bandwidth if
they don't have proper security things in place you're right they could be
sharing it with you know stuff that they don't want to be doing well way we've
approached that is we've allowed users with just one or two clicks to say look
I want to filter what people can use my my node for if I'm the exit node I'm
gonna make sure it's from a family-friendly DNS and they can click
it with one click but you're right all these other DVPNs out there I think you
got to be like a command-line genius for for someone to set up yeah that's
where the power in blockchain comes in right I mean there's really only two
things that blockchain does really well at least better than technology and web
2 does and it's authenticity and you know essentially immutability you know as
well as anonymization I mean there's a lot of things that can be applied here
and you know money buddy don't forget making me money yeah I mean it's
security that was really the big the big issue here you know with all this data
and all of the deep in you know data that's going to be getting tossed around
and letting different companies connect and use my microphone or use my location
or you know DIDs and anonymizing that data is absolutely going to become 100%
necessary yeah 100% and I think what people are maybe missing is the reason
has value is that we're cutting out the middleman you know we're cutting out the
middleman of these gatekeepers like Amazon big G the telcos like you got to
give helium a lot of credit for being a front-runner because they finally
disrupted that fucking monopoly over there right they're like building for
all this time they had a flood of supply so it was a dilutive reward system which
is why it flopped for a while because people are like I'm running these nodes
I don't earn this cuz there's no one was using the network now they've just
tapped into the T-Mobile and they've got millions of customers coming on board
they've actually got the demand side now so that's why they're blowing up and so
if you've got a way for someone to say fuck the big people I'm gonna cut out
those middlemen that clip the ticket on my daughter and I actually get paid for
my daughter and my worth now that's why it's winning that's why deep in is like
such a strong narrative now and they're not doing anything innovative either
right if you think about it like they're just doing the same thing that mint mobile
is doing the only difference is that they're leveraging their network they're
essentially charging the same thing like you can't mint mobile for 20 bucks the
same way they can get it from helium but when you go on helium well guess what
some of that money is actually gonna go back to the miners people that are
supporting the network and like I'm really excited about that don't get me
wrong I mean I'm I'm making a pretty penny on helium mobile right now but I
do have a couple of hundred helium miners agency miners anybody's
interested had hit me up on the DMS I got that I'm not gonna get into the long
rant it was something I supported very much so in the beginning but I'll say
this about helium in the space overall did they kick open the door very much
so but after that they showed their ass every time they could and I believe that
they caused a lot of problems in this space be and a lot of the venture
capital money and believers in this are also leaving because of whether you want
to attribute it to misfeasance incompetence or malfeasance intentionally
however you want to believe it but because of that a lot of this wireless
decentralized the centralized wireless projects are not going to get the
attention and funding that they deserve because of some very bad missteps that I
think are you know as the network engineer personally just like total
malpractice totally incompetence but I'll stop now yeah yeah that was enough
Joe I want to get the fry I want to get the fry bridesman waiting to kind of
jump in right how are you I'm good how about yourself can you hear me yeah we
got you air traffic control what's good yeah so I'm gonna circle back to the
whole bandwidth thing you guys are definitely right you know there's
security issues with the DBPN and we're actually taking steps to kind of fix
that on our own end as well we're actually reworking our bandwidth miners
the DBPN side of them right now because like you said anyone you know can use
your network for you know malicious reasons like for instance if you have
someone running like a you like e-commerce box on your network well your
IP is gonna get flagged and you're gonna come up sites you won't even be able to
get to and in addition to that you'll see more captures and yeah and if someone's
torrenting as well you know you usually get trouble with your ISP so right now
with us reworking our DBPN side of things we're at we're actively trying to
play in safeguard for the you know it's for the 2.0 relief to prevent any bad
answers like that from participating fair got it I want to I want to interject
it's not it's not yeah it's not just the VPNs that you know have this issue many
of these decentralized compute platforms unless they have some sort of assurance
mechanism making sure nobody is running let's say I'm using any of the above
like threefold flux I think I sometimes forget which ones are storage and which
ones are decentralized compute but any of the ones that can host apps you can
just as easily make a VPN out of someone's out of someone's box that
they're hosting that app user IP or build a application that does malicious
stuff behind their IP yeah Joe I invited Dan last minute I don't know if he's
gonna be able to make it out but yeah I think that people forget that data is
data right so if you're doing compute any kind of compute you can essentially
put malicious you know code in there and leverage people's networks to do
different things they're intended to be you know used for it may be you know a
GP GPU network but hey guess what comes back and forth from the GPU data and if
you're able to you know if it's not built right if people aren't really
focusing on you know the the usability of the network and ensuring that is
secure man we're all in trouble but I also want to say there I want to be
positive with this as well there are plenty of things you can do that are
legitimate that provide value to whoever is using the service like for
example some of them that I am fairly certain are like good actors that are
doing things that are non-malicious like honey gain is what example like a it's
kind of like a web scraping and also they monitor certain data based on geo
location based on you know the content delivery network routing etc and that's
valuable to a lot of companies they have whitelisted real you know corporations
real companies that need to see what's being directed where on the internet so
that's type of stuff I am all for I think that's the coolest thing in the
world but I always just try to make people understand that there are pros
and cons to this and in many times you're not being told there's there's
downsides and the risks you're being put at and everyone wants to FOMO and
believe that it's gonna change everything well when anything in
technology it said that it's always over projected the first two years it's
overestimated the change that's gonna bring and the over 10 years everyone
underestimates the changes it's going to bring so real quick guys I appreciate
that Joe great take I got a bunch of people that are requesting the panel
obviously please like hang out if you guys are if you can like rotate if not
I'll rotate a couple of people in and out but I just want to make sure
everybody kind of gets heard but millen I saw you came up man welcome
hello everyone my name is millen minif I'm the CEO of crank and today I believe
it's my depin day earlier I had a webinar on binance life one hour and
something exactly only for the opinion it was on my net Bulgarian language and I
can't say that the binance pushing really hard and I will try to translate
the webinar on English and Spanish maybe to share it was a nice one hour
with four thousand two hundred people online on the on the livestream and I
believe the next couple days will be more than ten thousand to watch the
replay millen you gotta you gotta give us the what the heck crank actually is
and it's not such a boys crank right you got to tell us like what
I just sharing what what is my day today about the depin and I'll say a few
words about crank but as I said I was on the binance life for one hour on
something crank a deep in play of course it's what shame bro what shame man we
gonna get real nerdy in here bro what chain is it on man when I hear them
oh so you know right now yeah we all know right now yeah we're on Cadena
and crank it's the biggest user of Cadena blockchain 99.9% photo
transaction Cadena it's made by crank we had more than 5,000 gateways up on
drone and yeah today I was on another depin meeting here in Safin Bulgaria
and for exactly for another depin project and I share some thoughts about
the crank and the depin and now I'm on the space for depin yes and I can
confirm the depin is happening and it's really hype and crank it's doing really
well at the moment and we're just in public onboarding and 5200 gateways I
believe online for the lower on network connectivity it's open source project
and everyone can use his own gateways that he has from helium or any other
project in the past and everyone can use our software for free but if you would
like to join our network you need to purchase the license lifetime license
but everyone can check about crank and we're providing not the moment we're
building the lower connectivity but later on who will be the oracle nodes the CDN
nodes but we will not join to the DVPN or any kind of VPNs because we don't
think that need to be done a lot of project doing this but our network it's
more like third-party trust verification process and everything in on
chain on Cadena and we're moving on multi-chain right now and everything's
happening really nice around us yeah I want to add Milan so crank it uh the
software that you use is crank is totally supportive of people who want to
install additional applications on that on that node that they have that's
running the crank software by the way action and CEO and I are both crank and
bastards and Milan one of the most knowledgeable people in this space one
of the best leaders I've met totally honest guy does exceptionally well
research and after knowing him over this past year I'm very very happy to call
him a friend bro you can't you can't brownie somebody after you say you're
you're an affiliate like that doesn't work man I don't care
I'm going to draw from other projects dating projects before crank and because
I came from the community and I am always with the community and I met
Victor and everyone just like a community member and you know you just
docked my name you just docked me what happened there man
Milan thank you bro I appreciate it thank you drew welcome man how are you I
love you I love you too milan all right all right drew what's good Oh drew
don't go sleepy on me now drew you deep in boys are rowdy I'm loving this man
right hey miss gecko we bit we it's not been the shiny thing for months now and
we all of us on stage knew this shit was gonna happen like and so it's like I'm
not dancing on grays per se but it's like no just because a lot of our peers
right like they all they host really big spaces right but if they always talking
about nothing and these are my friends I love them you know I'll put them in
cookies at the IRL event but I'm like yo fam like how are you gonna not lead
your community to like three point you know what was in December was three
point eight billion and deep in volume and it was 700 million in NFT volume so
I was just like questioning our own friends me and Brad's homies like in the
chat like yo you having 300 people in your space but you ain't talking about
any deep in even RWA even like on the low end like Pokemon tokenization but
you ain't even at least you know you've got some Pokemon collectors in there but
they won't even talk about it so now like I hear me long say this is his
second or third deep in thing and for me and Iles and bread it's like our fifth
this week and like I never thought we would be here so I'm just super excited
every blockchain sui polygon could Dana fucking even a theory and passing the EIP
for RWAs like everything is just it's going so fast like I stay up to three
in the morning again like actually it reminds you the commander crypto
marketing you know craze when we would stay until seven in the morning talking
about marketing and yeah it's like I didn't even drink a Celsius today and
listen to my voice I've learned so much I cannot wait for the next one Dave you
have to have another space like I think this needs to be a weekly now man we
need to know about this woman in the biz thank you Gex y'all but better believe
that you're coming back next week Dave no no no we had this conversation
let the host speak can I make a giveaway one count license for free let's go baby
read everybody retweet the space if you want to call the crank you can choose
what is he doing is giving licenses away I'll put up with a minor up so if
you need the miners for that license I'll put that one up as far as the
giveaway how's that oh let's go retweet this space out right now I'm getting a
Twitter picker now in the next five minutes so yeah talk amongst yourselves
I'm gonna go pick a winner hey I've even reached like all of us and we in this
space we retweet to me I don't want to be not available because I'm a speaker I
could be tweet right everybody everybody's got a shot let's go God just
leaves the space immediately he's like I better be eligible you know I love what
Gekko said because like even oh yeah anyone wants to be made an RWA deep in
chat like for all of us chatted and chat that's and it's crazy like there's no
drama no one's like yo did you see what Danny said in the other chat or did you
see like what someone everyone's helping each other yo do you need a code for five
percent on parcel whatever the hell it is everyone's just uplifting each other
like yo this is what I'm building yo I know people in AI oh you need AI agents
you can use this too like I like ask I'll bread we all became like brothers
and sisters in this chat so anyone you don't want to join it's just a family
brothers no drama please add me so I can learn I need more D Janning in my life
but wait if you need if you need like AI bot in chat bots I mean you go to talkie
talkie right that that's where you go for that let's go talkie talkie's not
dead yet talkie talkie is not dead yet but real quick I want to go to Michael
Michael I know that when we were talking initially you were telling me about a
couple others right we talked about demo obviously game is here we mentioned
helium where are some of the others I know you mentioned like grass or let's
talk about some of the others that maybe people that are in the listeners can
easily start maybe taking part in now that on crank software that is free for
everyone whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa Michael
Milan Michael Milan Michael Michael Michael yo Milan you could keep going I
kind of like it I mean part of part of being here is not just to share but to
also understand others that I don't particularly know about so I love it so
but I think look quickly we touched on it and everyone has already brought some
really good information I mean personally I'm very excited about not
just the idea of sharing but the connected you know economy and how we
all participate and so I think we talked about the big ones at least that have a
chance to go very you know very large quickly because of those economies of
scale when you think about the you know you think about telecommunications with
helium you look at what I like in demo is you know the car industry just in
North America's over one trillion dollar industry you could get higher numbers
depending on where you look but also grass obviously I think grass is the
easiest one and earliest because there's not even a token and I think someone has
already talked about it today here that's so super simple because you're
able to just essentially add a Google Chrome extension and then use your
unbanned your unused bandwidth to earn you know points that eventually should
be redeemed into some form of a token and that's just basically running
something in the background which is the super simple way to get involved without
having to pay anything I will say this I listen to something between grass and
demo founders earlier on YouTube and so it does seem like grass is gonna soon
come out with a physical offering so that's something coming but you know
those would be the three that I'm really tapped into right now obviously hive
mapper is really good the one issue with a lot of this is that because the ones
that have grown bigger they're already on you know heavy delays to get the
product right so if you look at hive mapper which I love you can't get a
dashcam until July at this point if you look at you know helium mobile I know
they had trouble with shipping sim cards so it is awesome to learn about some of
the smaller ones that we've heard about is here but you know I've already put
something in the little chat box in case anyone wants to learn a little bit more
about you know either demo grass or helium mobile in case there's anyone
really new that doesn't fit you know is not familiar there but those are the
three that I'm just quickly tapped into because of the exponential potential
that they offer and I love what you said Michael I'm also so for me I'm
follow me and I'll brand a few others we're following the money right can't
really like air out shit from the chat but anyone can go in the chat and see
this kind of stuff this is why I'm so bullish on peak an L1 that only you can't
go drop an NFP project on you know you got to be able to drop on crest with
their test net and if you make it to you know the test that you'll be able to to
work with peak but uh like wing bits I brought up earlier I just think you
know they got the flight radar I think CEO or co-founder on their on their
advisory board they have Raytheon you know people on their advisory board so
to get that data sold takes one phone call so I'm kind of looking at oh I also
love carrier one with suey because of who they're partnering with all these
are web to companies like we said earlier buying the data back so my thing
is okay I know I'm getting these little tokens you know I explained it like a
little pieces of rice I'm Japanese so I'm just like yo I'm gonna give you
these little pieces of rice every day for you know being a part of it but think
you'll get the big bag of rice at the end you know when it drops on this
should go and yo like even for RWA is like something like parcel I see that
45 million TVL okay that's a great like I you know their teams on Twitter they
go on spaces they go to IRL events so I'm just trying to like find the safest
bets just like Michael said with industries right you know these car ones
are are gonna cook because you can't even buy the devices so again there's
gonna be a lot of grifty stuff to let's not like I don't want to pretend like
every single thing that comes out with the D pins gonna be like the next cook
but like think of like silence I silence IO where you're measuring noise
pollution their user base grow it's just ridiculous right so you already know
like web two people don't even know they're getting tokens right now like my
my baby mom is doing it she knows it's gonna do something but she don't even
really understand but she thinks it's fun like walking around and they all run
on Ubers hex map right so when you see that kind of stuff too like these these
special these special tech things on the back end along with partnerships
he wrote he wrote I was about to ask him about of my aware element what I can do
with this thing but yeah I don't know if his connection is yeah I think I think
these deep end projects that have like a low barrier to entry are gonna be the
ones that kind of start taking off earlier like just like what Michael was
saying with grass it's just super easy to get and use so like a while I am
bullish on things like hive mapper and wing bits there is that friction there
where you have to like buy the material and then set it up still and there's
like knowledge behind you know having to set it up so while it is like a small
barrier it still exists whereas like salencio and grass you just got to
download something and then just like go from there don't don't sleep on health
blocks man because that's already taken health data and they can connect to your
my pens right now bread I'm writing all this down do you like that's why I'm
bullish on the boss that boss device you know with the seven sensors the XDK the
new one coming out like because I can just buy that one right and I think it's
partnering with fetch AI and peak and then I'll be able just to have this like
I don't know be like three four hundred bucks like the other XDK and then I can
just use that for the seven different sensors and I guess some of the sensors
we were reading combined so it's even more than just seven so like instead of
having to buy like the weather XM like what you're saying I'll the weather XM
antenna the carrier one antenna the the aqua save water sensor you know like we
can go on and on with the devices it'd be dope just to have that the boss
device you know everybody knows boss one of the biggest electric companies tech
companies in the world and they've already built one of these before but
this new one is gonna be literally for IOT to EOT so I'm really hyped oh my god
it worked holy shit I didn't think that was gonna work amazing thanks guys oh my
god Melan real quick while I have you I know we're already on the we're already
on the hour but tell us what we're giving away and action I know that you're in
combination with Melan so what do we what are we giving away because I got the
only my mother calls me Victor when she's upset at me all right I'll let you
call me that if you'd like just to let you know how crank it's open source
software solution until you talk a lot of about grass and I would like to let
you know guys that crank was the first project that implement grass in our
software as a solution for everyone because crank image and cranko
operating system is built by us custom software solutions that you can use
all kind of single-board computers like Raspberry Pi or any other old
Helium gateways hotspot or any other lower gateway and you can add the grass
on top and our software is for free just is the burned the basic are put on your
old Helium device and you can add grass you cannot streamer you cannot file
coin and all other projects that are based on Docker and so this is it's very
very very easy and so we're giving a license for crank that you can you can
use you can use your gateway to join to the crank network and you can mine the
token can I can I do the pitch this this is how you pitch crank all right I
expect my paycheck a little later if you guys are sick and tired of not earning
enough HNT the way you're supposed to with your IOT devices on the Helium
network I highly encourage you guys to check out crank crank allows you to mine
a separate token that not only mines IOT data like the previous network but it
also serves as a Oracle network and there's so much more to come on top of
it it is built on top of a blockchain that supports miners we're talking about
a proof-of-work blockchain to Dana that allows all of this stuff to happen so
we're just excited to be able to do this giveaway for you all thank you for
everybody that joined I'm giving away that that product alongside the license
from Milan and we're just excited to grill this network and put the power
back to the people also give away a masked browser as well since it's a go
along with you guys can get a mask browser for free
guy such a good guy Milan's putting up the license and actions putting up the
gateway I'll put up the staked amount of crank that you'll need so once that
action you've got to send me that information so that's why I used to co-host
spaces with you action right there baby that's that's a real that's why he one
of the real marketers when you see these web 3 marketing spaces action was an OG
almost four years ago doing this shit man good to see you again brother big
facts big facts I y'all got 60 seconds if you just came in maybe that's all you
heard but if that's all you heard that should be enough you better retweet the
shit out of this space right now before I shut it down even though we're gonna
come back next week same place same time yo I just want to go around quick for
closing thoughts right before I do this Twitter picker this was the one of the
dopest I'd say the most incredible conversation I've had this week I really
really hope that everybody that I initially invited on to this panel comes
back next week so we can do this again for sure yeah gaming I know it's late
for you over there Blake I appreciate you obviously coming through but
closing thoughts Jensen let's not talk over each other and then we'll do the
Twitter picker you guys got one minute
closing thoughts guys like I feel like everyone needs to look into deep in you
need to check out what the fuck it is if you want to see something crazy we're
literally the biggest deep in that exists in the world for GPUs watch what
happens next guys it's pretty incredible where we've achieved insane
numbers and we're just coming out of beta someone we actually start marketing
I'm looking forward to what happens next if you want to get part of the
community you want to jump into the token you can buy NFTs now they have
tokens attached to it in cool ways just jump into the discord that's my last
thoughts get into deep in it's awesome and thanks speakers for your thoughts
like you guys all know your shit fucking awesome to be in this panel and thanks
for inviting this move let's go let's go and honestly action you would you
definitely win MVP today so I'm gonna give you the last one and then you better
give me like a money ass drumroll or some some boss ass sound for me to do
this Twitter to do this Twitter picker go for me that that's one of the easier
ones right no but dude like this space is awesome and this is it's kind of
crazy like you're bringing a lot of the things that I deal with on a daily basis
in the space together and it's kind of freakin awesome like I forget how much
synergy that can be between different projects is sure there are different
tokens different things being mined but ultimately like it's just good people
trying to you know move the space forward and we can when we do move
together and there's no stopping what we can do and yeah maybe a tokens down
whoa mine something else with it right crank but that is just like the the the
bare minimum it's just like we're not here just for the money like we're here
to make sure that web 3 takes over the world and ultimately that's what I see it
taking place is that all of these little things maybe it's your phone maybe it's
an air quality monitor that I'm sitting on my desk that's basically a brick and
does nothing but we invest in things that ultimately will bring new people
into the space and we'll make them curious about web 3 and that's all I can
ask for is more people to understand the power that they have the power that
their data really carries and how profitable it is which is why Google
takes advantage of all of us especially if you're a content creator and takes
over half of your profits on you so yeah I'm not salty about that at all not at
all not at all give me the drumroll let's do this we got 35 entries for
those that got there were included good luck
yo I can't make you know I cannot I swear to you I will take the picture I
cannot make this shit up BC bread us yo I promise you that sounds sus bread do
you want to give it away but you won't actually want this yeah yeah what is it
you get a license from crank you get the device from action and you're getting
