Ronnie, do we have music today?
Well, I don't know if that elevator music matches my level of excitement for what we have going on this week, but it'll have to do today for our Twitter spaces. We thank everyone for joining us here. We know a lot of you are going to be listening after the fact. We're going to keep it
to a 24 minute shot clock just like the NBA does with seconds, but we're going to do it with minutes to give you some updates on Primal Hoop, our amazing partnership with the greatest Web 3 company that I have ever come across and that is Splinterlands. Joining us here today is VP of Sales, John Monahan.
How are you doing today fantastic brother? How you doing Charlie? I am doing so good. I literally can't put it into words You know, I'm I'm my body is a little bit tired But my brain is going a million miles an hour because I am ready to play primal hoop and we are so happy to be doing this with you everyone
F-Splinner lands has stepped up, stepped up above and beyond the call of duty yourself included to get this game launched underway and to get people playing this game. I just before we get to into it, I want everyone to know how important and how amazing the team at Splinterlands is, how amazing they are
are as a company from top to bottom, how much of a pleasure it is to work and communicate with them. They are the best at what they do for a reason. And a little bit like the Wizard of Oz, I got to peek behind the curtain, if you will, and see what makes you and your team so amazing.
And I just hope that everyone has an opportunity to become part of this Flinner Lands and the Genesis League ecosystem because the professionalism and the standards that you are bringing to what is a new and burgeoning Web 3 industry are second to none. And I think that everyone in the world
Desserts to know just how amazing your team is John. I Appreciate that and you know, I'm Probably the weak link. No, no, no credible talent great people on the team And you know, the shibi the shibi team is the same way and we you know, that's why we think this partnership is gonna be really bad
I'm going to go ahead and get a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of#
together with a platform in Venium that makes it possible for entities such as ourselves with Web 3 games to offer the most advanced and easy to use systems and operational control over utilizing their NFTs as digital
assets in a video game and with earning mechanisms built in for playing those games. What we're most excited about is we had a game, Primal Hoop, you're able to, as your Chibi Dino go into the game in a very NBA jam style atmosphere and make as many baskets as possible to win
But what was missing from that scenario was a platform that allowed for the proper and secure asset management of NFTs as video game assets. And what you have done and the whole team of splinter lands, we're not the devs, but we should give it up to you know, Patrick.
I can check it and everybody involved for everything that they make happen. But you have literally built a platform that makes it possible for games such as ours to be onboarded into that ecosystem and receive all the benefits and perks that you've been delivering to your users for years.
Yeah, absolutely. And you know, it's facing things in, but most importantly, making, you know, the game operational and accessible on the website. These things that, you know, I don't know how many of you out there have ever been involved in software projects. Never, never does everything go exactly how you
expect it, but that's where you know quality team helps. You can pivot, you can you can fix things on the fly, you can you can make it happen. And so we were luckily able to do some of that because as expected unexpected things happened. But you know, hopefully the community, you know, doesn't even notice because it's
you know, it still goes off without a hitch. So yeah, you know, you're absolutely right, John. And you know, I heard something the other day that kind of it really, it really helped me get through, you know, this week and last week. And there's a couple of things is that it's not an adventure. If you already know what you're going, right? And with Web 3 gaming, it is truly an adventure.
because when you're on the cutting edge of technology, you are truly making it up as you go, but not in a fake until you make it sort of way. We are quite literally and you, Expo-n-er-land, are quite literally building the airplane to make it possible for gamers around the world to even fly. And when you're doing so,
something like that. You know, it gets, it always works messier from the inside looking out, but from an outside perspective, what we've taken to heart very, very earnestly is that we want to build in public, right? Slinner lands, you do an amazing job of keeping your community updated with what's going on, and I feel like there's too much of a problem
and Web 3 where things get hyped up before they're ready to be utilized. And we wanted to take an opposite approach with the launch for Primal Hoop and our partnership with you. And we've been able to build an amazing thing with you that we can now go share with the community as it goes live.
in the in the coming very soon and I hate that phrase but we're actually in the middle of getting a launch ready to go as we speak but I think what makes this situation very different is that the call to action isn't get ready it's not coming soon it's going to literally be play now
And I think that I would like to see more of this, maybe in the world in general, and definitely in Web 3. I would like to see people hyping things up once they've been built and once they're able to be utilized. Instead of just creating this, it's not really FOMO, but it's almost like FOMO
what's coming up. And I think the beauty of what we've done together is that the game is built, it's ready to be played. This isn't like the alpha for coming soon. This is the alpha for it's time to actually start playing video games in an ecosystem that is second to none.
Why do you think it's so rare in Web 3 for the hype to come before the build? For exactly the reasons that or for exactly the things that we were talking about before right this is but software development is hard it's always been hard it's been hard in every context you know since
So you throw a block chain in the mix, we're in this nascent space, this nascent time, this is still very much the early days of Web 3. And there's a lot of extra challenges that come up when you guys
when you build something. And so you lay out your best plans on timeline and what you want to do and you try to mesh that with your marketing and promotion and you begin that marketing and promotion and all of a sudden the software development and setting snacks. And so you get these
delays and you get different things happening. Meanwhile, you have this extra layer of funding that's necessary to make everything go. If things get delayed too much or the token prices go down, there's all sorts of these external financial influences that can really sink projects.
I don't think that a lot of the projects are nefarious in any way. They're not trying to pump something that isn't going to happen. I think a lot of them truly believe their project that they're pumping is going to happen. But then there's so many different ways for it to get screwed up. Then of course you do have to
projects too. There are plenty of those out there in Web 3. But yeah, I've never heard of a rug pull on Web 3. What do you say? No, but you're absolutely right. We all have ideas about where this industry is going. What's possible in this Web 3 world? We hear the phrase "block cane technology thrown around" like it's
the magic just catch all magic wand and then we go to the devs expecting them to say you know, "Abrah Kadabra make it happen" and a lot of people I think get a harsh reality check for what their dreams and aspirations for whatever their project may have been are actually going to take a 10
thousand hours to build, not ten hours to build. And that is something that I know we feel we felt strongly, right? Because we are going to be doing a lot of things which should be diners in your ecosystem. But a lot of what had been told to various communities and not just our community, this is across the gaming spectrum. I mean,
You even see this with companies like Fortnite and Activision and major companies that are facing video game issues, right? The marketing gets ahead of the product development. And any time you're doing software engineering and you and I are not devs and you've heard me make this joke, there's lots of good reasons for that for those things. But it gets hard and you get so excited about what's being
build that we want to onboard as many people into Web 3 gaming as possible. And you've done that because you've made it an on ramp that is seamless for users to go online, play their game, and figure out the earnings and rewards mechanism for all of that. And we're not really here to talk about the earnings and rewards.
We engage in Play to earn games, but I think the biggest thing that the driving force for our communities is how fun the games are. I think we all forgot that, I mean, John, you and I are old enough. Let's not tell everybody just how old we are. But, you know, we remember Sega Genesis. We remember, you know, the Nintendo games when there was
know what am I looking for? Quid Pro Quo to play a video game. You just did it because it was fun and it was an escape from reality. The Splinterlands game and the Primal Hoop game, I think offer that fun aspect that a lot of people in Web 3 gaming are forgetting
to integrate and for us we just want people to have fun and enjoy playing the game. Yeah absolutely and you know I on the on the age piece I had thought of an analogy that is definitely going to date me right you know so imagine you know you're the marketing team you're you're a
You're a large really good basketball player and you take a look over there at Spud Web and you get in the Spud Web represents the You know the timeline right and you end up deciding hey, I can I can beat that you know we're gonna launch whenever I want to and in Spud Web has other ideas
and goes out and wins the dunk contest, right? Any basketball fans out there that aren't familiar with that, do yourself a favor and get a Google Spud Web dunk contest. It is something to behold. What was he, Charlie? Five foot seven? I think he was five eight because I remember that Nate Robinson was five nine.
and he won the dunk contest also but I believe Spud Webb is the shortest person to ever win the dunk contest maybe he was 57 and that 58 was a generous listing right he was earning high heels that day he was wearing high heels that day he had the extra inch from the air Jordans helping him get up and dunking stuff like that and I'm gonna do a
shameless show here you can actually dunk with your chibi dino in primal hoop and it's it's fun right like we you and I played NBA jam growing up I guess that would date us that'll let the people know what's going on and we wanted to make a very arcade style interactive game and I think that's why
And you know correct me if I'm wrong it happens at least 50 times a day But I think that's what has y'all at splinter lands so excited about this partnership on your end because you are I mean you're the largest web 3 gaming platform in the world you are second to none There is no denying that and I will I will die on that hill till my last
And I think what we're able to bring to your community and bring to your users is an arcade style game where they can control their NFT in a very arcade environment and have a completely user controlled experience.
Yeah, no doubt about it. I mean, it's, you know, it's, we're so interested. You know, Splinterlands is awesome, right? It's just that launch. We just cleared our five year anniversary of launching on chain. It's an obscure IP. It's fantasy oriented, like,
like Wizards and Orcs and things like that. It's a really heavy strategy based card game, collectible card game. But in the process of making that thing great, we developed this platform that turns out is really awesome. And it scales really well. We've had over 3.5 billion battles and over 2 billion transactions on
change over five years. And yes, capable so much. We're like, holy shit, you know what we need to do is we need to start leveraging this platform not only to allow others to develop games, but to develop gaming ecosystems ourselves. And that's where James' league sports was born. You know, and so Primal Hoop
is now on Genesis League Sports ecosystem. It's going to be right alongside our Genesis League goals game, which is launching in June. That's with Major League Soccer Players Association. We want to track more sports oriented games there. Then alongside that, we're going to build this other ecosystem called our Kate Callini, which is going to be another
system of games that we're going to use this platform and this blockchain to run but then also be very friendly to other blockchains as well. We don't think that people are going to give a shit what chain they're on here at some point. So we want to take the steps right now to be able to leverage each chain for their strengths, right?
Yeah, and yeah, so that's that's kind of why we're here and you know looking forward to because you know this gives us some diversity I mean an arcade style user control game is very different from the the strategy oriented collectible card game the Spinnerlands is but this will be proof and point that hey there's a lot of different types of
games that come over here and run and be a part of the CKIS system. Yeah, and I literally could not agree more about what you said about mass adoption. I think, you know, I keep hearing, you know, we go to these NFT conferences, we go to these, you know, these meetups, so we keep hearing, how do we onboard the next billion people into Web 3? And my response is normally, let's all
board the first billion people before we get ahead of ourselves. And you know a great analogy here is the Starbucks NFT program. I have a lot of friends love Starbucks. They do the Odyssey program. They have no idea what an NFT is, but they are using NFTs because they're doing this Starbucks Odyssey.
And I could agree a thousand percent that the platforms that you have built make it possible for no matter what chain you're on, no matter what, you know, main net or, you know, blockchain that asset lives on, that the Genesis League sports ecosystem and the splinter lands and in Venium
platforms as a whole offer the scalability to actually get the first billion people into Web 3 and they don't need to be knowledgeable about what NFT stands for, how to use EtherScan or anything of the sort.
We are a PFP NFT project that is becoming a gaming NFT company. We are doing that through the utilization of turning these NFT assets into video game assets because it is
my belief that people already know what NFTs are, it just hasn't been explained to them properly. I mean, I have a lot of friends that play call a duty, valiant. And as soon as I say, an NFT is the skin that you already own in your marketplace, but now you're able to buy, sell, and trade it with other people in
know for currencies, they get it in a second. You don't even have to explain it anymore. That skin that Raj overpaid for in Valorant is an NFT. He just can't buy a seller trade it with other people. That's where your platform comes in is you have
And we hear these phrases so often I'm almost even tired of hearing them, but you actually have decentralized the ownership of these assets and made it possible for people to exist within a large, somewhat centralized system that is the video game.
the ownership over those assets in an actual decentralized way where they can buy someone trade them with other users. And your community is amazing at interacting with each other. I've been hanging out in this Clinton lands discord as well as the Chibi dinos discord quite a bit for the
last week or two and just seeing how everybody helps each other and gets into playing the game. How does that amazing community come to be? Because that's to me, I think, the golden ticket, if you will, is making it so that everybody helps each other with Web 3 Gaming.
Yeah, so, you know, community building is such a nebulous thing, right? Like it's hard to do. You know, I think over the course of our time, you know, there's a bit of luck involved with it, but it's also just having a really strong design.
token economy design but also game design right so you know you track people in for the game the entertainment value and they stay for you know the financialization of it the way our community was constructed a lot of them came in from other Web 3 communities we would we would do
You know, you know, you can buy things in splinter lands with somebody else's token or another community's token stuff like that. There are all kinds of different things, right? But you build it brick by brick and at some point it becomes a flywheel and it just, you know, continues to turn on and on. But what's nice about, you know,
the fundamental nature of Web 3 when it comes to community building. Once you get that critical mass in a community like Splinterlands, everybody starts to realize that, hey, what's in my best interest is actually the health of this community because that's what's going to keep the asset value higher as high as
possible. Of course, this bear market hasn't helped anybody in Web 3, but everybody has a vested interest in making sure that things run properly and help each other out and make sure that everything is running smoothly. That's what's cool with it.
it has this built-in incentive to collaborate and have a rising tide raise all bets. Yeah, and we fully believe in that. And that's where I think that more people in Web 3 need to see themselves as partners that can complement each other, like we did with you as Flunerland, instead of seeing each other as competitors.
and we wanted to make everything as simple as possible. So this is not shilling, this is most, this is just the ease of how it is to play our game. If you own it, Shibidino, you're going to be able to play Primal Hoop on launch, which is coming imminently and earn our Hoop
currency as a result of playing just an extremely fun video game. I'm more see owning a TV Dino as your access token right to play primal hoop getting back to the point where the games should be fun. People play video games to have fun. The added benefit of the you know the financial incentive just comes and happens to be
and added benefit. So what we're able to do with y'all is Chibi Dino holders are going to be able to come to the website that you have beautifully pieced together for us for Primal Hoop and they're going to be able to just have fun and play this game. And I'm not going to sit here and focus on the monetary aspects and the crypto
earnings that you can get from playing Primal Hoop, we just want people to have fun playing video games and build community together. And we are doing updates every three to four hours in our Discord as we are in the middle of getting the game and the website launched and out and available for the public. Trust me, we
it will be all over Twitter and in discord announcements the minute that happens. For now we're providing updates to our community every three hours in discord. We're hanging out in the slinner lands discord our team is as well and we know everybody is really eager to play and the professionalism that you and the
your team is something that brought to our situation is something that I would like the rest of the Web 3 community to be put on notice for because you and the Splinterlands team and the Genesis League Sports ecosystem have a standard for professionalism and a standard for excellence
that you refuse to not meet. And it's that standard for excellence that drew my attention to wanting to work with you so much because our game, Primal Who, deserves that treatment and our community deserves the amazing treatment that you have already given to
your community and I just want to thank you and everyone in Splinterland enough and the best way that we can thank you is by opening our game to your users and hopefully just getting as many people having fun playing video games and interacting and creating community as possible.
They're that about it and we are every bit is excited and You know really looking forward to a bright future on this it it it has all the potential in the world and you know It's just like anything else and crypto getting in early always a good idea. Yeah, it's never a bad idea
Never a bad idea to get in early never a bad idea and All I want people to do right now is half-fun get excited to play a video game Make sure you're in the splinterlands discord and the chibi dino's discord you can find the entry points to both of those through our Twitter bios and we will be
posting continuous updates throughout the evening for the rest of the day today in there and we will be putting out a tweet with those updates as the day goes on. All the teams behind the scenes are working very diligently right now to get the website out and up and live and get you
access to play the game. They're troubleshooting as we speak. And just while I have this moment, John, I just want to give an extra big shout out to your dev team, you chiklet, PJ, I know I'm forgetting some names of some of the people that work under them and I apologize.
But everybody at Splinter Lands is forever, I am forever in your debt. You have a spot in my heart for the rest of your lives and we could not have done this without you. And we are beyond excited to share something that has been a long time coming with our community and with your community.
community and bring everyone together. I appreciate that, Charlie. That means a lot to me. And, you know, hey, it's two great teams coming together and, you know, let's make one plus one greater than two, right? I couldn't agree. The sum is greater than or what is it? The whole is greater than the sum of our parts. And that's right. And that's true.
situation. So for now, I'll be in Discord the rest of the evening. I'm going to get right back into my Google Doc and keep preparing. We have the reward structure that we're going to release as soon as all this stuff goes live. Hang out in the Discord. Talk with our team members. Go hang out in the splinter lands tavern in their Discord, which is
always a good time. Come hang out in the Chibi Talk, a general chat, and our discord ask anything. We are not shying away from anything. Our motto is that we are going to build in public and that when you own and operate a Web 3 company, it doesn't belong to any one person. Chibi Dino's belongs to you. It belongs
to the community and it belongs to the holders. And I know you feel the same way about splinter lands, these companies belong to the communities. And I think the more Web 3 projects that realize that and become self-aware that we work for you and that, you know, to a certain extent, we exist for you, the further we're all going to go together.
on. I really thank you for being here. I know you and I will probably talk at least 17 more times throughout the day and the week. For now, before we say, this was a fast 24 minutes. It blows by when you have fun things to talk about. Oh, yeah, definitely, definitely. Sometimes 24 minutes just isn't enough to talk about something spectacular. So that
in the case go hop into discord hang out with us on Twitter you can catch the trailer for the video game it's a pin tweet on our on our Twitter page right now hop into discord meet some new people say hello I'll be in there and we will see everyone on dyno talk next week we will have some more Twitter spaces in between now
and then in various places. So make sure you're following Chibi Dino's and Splinter Lands on Twitter and in the Discord. We cannot wait to share the exciting video game with you that we have been building. Thank you everyone for being here. Yes, thank you everybody. Thank you, Charlie. Can't wait. Later, guys. Bye.
