Hey, bloater what's going on man? Hey, how's it going? It's going pretty good are we are we having Doug join this as well? You're gonna be the only one from team at the moment
I would love to see dog it does. Oh, there he is. Oh, there he is. Right on schedule, dog. Let's get him up here and we can get the show on the road. Okay.
Doug what's happening man? Good morning Noah. How is it going everybody? Good morning bloater punch. Good morning Brown Jen all the people in the audience man like I'm super excited for this morning because Noah you know my thing in Web 3 is building relationships and connections with people that I really enjoy
and I want to be part of their project. I try to hang out and well-cointalk whenever I can and just be supportive because you give so much great knowledge and just quality stuff here and it's about building relationships and like just growing together. And so my first thought when I saw this project "Dragon's Crossing" on my right
and the people that were involved and because a lot of the people that were involved were people that I knew or like my buddy flew that I'm like really good friends with that's an OG in the space and it's all about people for me and so immediately I was like oh man like I would really like to get this project on whale coin talk and now I'm telling
a little bit of like the um the beta the demo stuff that they gave me and I died a lot Noah and Blwater Punch will tell you that you shouldn't die. The game is not easy Noah man it's not easy. Web3 gaming you think is just a bunch of Dex's and things or you just play a little game and you do whatever no no no man this game is dangerous is
Difficult you have to actually think you probably have to be smarter than me bloat or punch but man like I had to fight a deer the other day a stag and that thing dodged my attacks like crazy and I Need to practice buddy, you know what I'm saying like the game you're creating is Exciting and thrilling and fun where like I don't know if I'm gonna even survive half the time
There we go. There we go. Well, I want to get, first of all, Doug, thanks for that intro and the kind words as always. I want to get into what is, you know, what the game is, what's making Doug die so many times and, you know, diving the nuts and bolts. Before we get, before we get to that, though,
So first off, thanks for having me.
on this. Second of all, if anyone has any questions about our product, about this Web 3 game that's launching in May 2023, you can check out our Discord at Dragonscrossing or our YouTube or our Twitter. So all the information, Doug's referencing, we've done a ton of town halls, there's a ton of content already available, you can see a
sneak peek of the game. So there are a lot of that, a lot of that materials are already available. Now in terms of the vision, so rewind about, I don't know, 12, 13 months ago, myself and some other friends were in this space for a while. We were doing fairly well. And we saw a lot of really, really bad projects, a lot of bad
bad intentions, rug poles, projects that promised a lot but never really delivered. And my friends and I were like, we could do this. We could do, we could do this better than what we're seeing. We saw huge opportunity and we're all gamers. And so we got together and thought, you know, what could be, what could be a project that we'd love
to do that could be a passion project, but also something that could be really successful. And we came up with this idea of a Web 3 RPG dungeon crawler style. And we had a couple core principles. Number one, we wouldn't raise funds through a public mint. Instead, we would raise funds from private pool investors, and we wouldn't really go
live or public until we were really close to launching. So when we say launch in May 2023, that's V1.0, that's the game fully available. The model exists as of May 2023 and we've only just come out of stealth mode. So there's no stale discord. We haven't just been promising people. We haven't done a mint yet. So no one's
The only people who contributed any funds are investors who have been in this for the long run. So that's one. The second one is we wanted actual products. So a lot of these projects launch and that it's four years before we get a product or it's a promise of a product. But then ultimately they go out of business or the team breaks up. They're like, "Sorry, thanks for all the money. We'll see you later."
So we wanted to launch with an actual finished product and then to kind of continue that thought we wanted it to be a game and we wanted it to be fun. So think a traditional Doug alluded to this a typical Web 3 project is usually a DeFi project. There's usually a shiny decks maybe a rock paper
are simulator in there somewhere and we wanted to go a different direction which was actual gameplay day one of launch. I think that's a really important standard that needs to be set. No more of these shady projects that are you know charging observed mints that don't actually materialize anything.
And so we have an actual fun game launching in May 2023. The mint will happen in May and the full game launch will happen in May. So that's the general vision. That's what we're trying to do fun game actual gameplay on day of launch. And then the last thing we've tried to do is
I'm face docs to the community. My partners and co-founders face docs to the community. We're doing town halls every other week. You know, we're active in our discord. If you have a question and you ping me in discord, I'll respond directly or one of my partners or team members will respond. We're super active and we believe we're trying to approach
web 3 a little different than we've seen it in the projects we participated in were the founders like the shady you know material personality comes in and out like a rate it's like no we want to function more like a real company a real project with tons of visibility tons of transparency
Along that line, I haven't received a dime of compensation. All of my compensation is long term based on our token and it vests over one year. So with a 30 day cliff, and what that means is if the project launches and flops, I haven't received any of my token compensation. So we're really trying to align
all the team member incentives, all the investors, which we call Sages incentives, to a long-term vista. And what that means again is these investors who came to our project and supported us from day one, which we couldn't have done it without them, they don't get any compensation either. There's no sell-wall. Day one, when the token launched
There's no cell. No one has any tokens and they will last very slowly over 12 months with a 30-day clip. So just various beats here. I know I've hit quite a few points, but the overall just is we want to do things differently. We want to be more transparent. We want to be more fair to the community and we want to make something fun and exciting.
Right, lots to impact there. So none of the initial investors, the private investors won't get any sort of compensation until there's a 30-day cliff and then the game hopefully finds success over over 12 months. I love that team member incentive.
to a long-term vista. But I want to talk to me. Sounds like you guys are doing it right. Building a fun game first and foremost, I would say, "Web 3 games need to be first and foremost fun." And then these notions of asset ownership and tokenization of the in-game currency are just icing on the cake, right? It just gives players more flexibility to
do what they want, as far as interfacing with the game and being able to exchange their time in the game for real world value for someone that doesn't have as much time in wants to buy some items or buy some gold or whatever the in-game currency is going to get into that. So the end of let's talk about the mint. So the mint isn't happening
until the actual game comes out. What's that mid going to look like? Tell us a bit about the different heroes and you did say dungeon crawler when I think dungeon crawler I think of Diablo for example. But tell us about the mint and then I want to talk about the gameplay as well. Get into the nitty gritty of the
game play. Yeah, absolutely. So I would so devil is like an ARPG. By the way, everyone on the team loves the devil. So we're big devil fans. Think about this more as a turn based RPG. So you are deciding what you do and then the monster reacts, etc. And that's the gameplay loop.
And again, of course, if anyone wants to see, well, what does the game look and feel like? Doug mentioned he's playing the beta. I'm working on game balance. It's one of my top priorities and you can see gameplay today. So if you're interested, what is it actually going to look like? Go check it out. We have footage available and we'll continue to release footage and sneak peaks and try and get the community for
to answer your question about the mint. So we're really big on the idea of Web3 because it provides that ownership. And so the mint is 2500 heroes, we call them Genesis heroes. Genesis heroes have a very unique ability which is they can find summoning shards as they quest.
Now that's a really important mechanic because it's in-game. You've got to play the game to find something short. All of our mechanics focus on putting the player in an immersive fun environment and getting them to play the game. There's no passive rewards. There's no single staking. There's no defy components. It's you're in the game playing
and these Genesis heroes can find summoning charts. What do summoning charts do? They're the mechanic that bring in additional heroes into the ecosystem. What that means is if you participate in the mint, you have full ownership over the future hero supply or future population of the game. We will not
as a company, the minting additional heroes. So if you want to play the game, you've got to get a hero from someone who's currently playing the game, who participated in the mint. Now those 2500 Genesis heroes, that's that's cap, that's it. So if you want to play the game, you can get what's called a Rift Hero, which is summoned through the Rift. But if you want to get and find new heroes,#
you have to be a Genesis hero. And what I think that does is it really puts priority on who showed up early, who showed up it was willing to get excited about the game. Now the other side of that coin is well what about someone who joined six months in? Are they screwed? And I would say absolutely not. The same gameplay, the same opportunities are still there for them.
It's just that one nuance of there's a certain part of the population that can add additional helos to the population and there's a certain part that can't but their opportunity to earn their opportunity to engage and have fun and actually have opportunities to increase their position that's all available to anyone and it doesn't matter when you show up.
So it's a term-based RPG, like Final Fantasy or like Pokemon? Yeah, think about it like Pokemon or Final Fantasy. That's the way the gameplay works. Okay, got it, got it. And you said that there are no, there are no DeFi components. What did you mean by that?
What I mean by that is there's no, again, there's no single staking. So the typical paradigm in Web 3 that I've found is the way people get you to buy and hold their coin is they say, hey, I'll give you 40,000% APRs. They want which sounds really, really cool, right? I love 40,000% APR. The bang
is giving me 4% right now on an annual basis. So 40,000% sounds great. The problem is that's essentially a Ponzi scheme because what happens is you have all these people who join to get those fat APRs and APRs gradually come down as more people get into the pools and they're incentivizing liquidity, they're incentivizing
super sick of investing money and then getting wrecked by impermanent loss or getting wrecked by any of the other reasons that those mechanics are very ponziation nature. We're saying no, it has to be a game first. It has to be fun first. And then there are mechanics that have to do with the actual game. That is what people can earn off of.
So I guess a fifth pillar which I hadn't mentioned yet is were really really big on sustainable tokenomics. So that part of that's the whole hey investors don't get to there's no cell wall team members. There's no cell wall. That's part of it. But the other part of it is the actual game the mechanics behind the gameplay are
what really drive our tokenomics. And we can talk more about that. But again, that's to answer your question, what do I mean by no defy? No single staking, no APRs, no incentivized liquidity, no incentivized holding. The reason you are spending and the utility has to do with the actual game. I love what I'm hearing so far, Bloder. I think that we
need to continue seeing web 3 games like this built. The previous model clearly didn't work. I'm not going to throw any names under the bus, but if you've been around the industry the last few years, you know what I'm talking about. So with the mints, I do see here that you guys have different tiers
of heroes and there are two different men's right there's the random mint and the boosted mint that's the only way to determine right I guess what I'm trying to say is like there's no way for people to directly buy a mythic or a legendary hero you just have to hold the dice and if you get you know if you get a
So I'm glad you asked this question because it's super super important. So the a lot of the people see this and think mobile gaming sometimes and by the way we are optimized for mobile shout out to our developer front end developer Delta punch for making mobile optimized but it's not a mobile game and when we say mobile game
we think predatory pricing predatory mechanics, there is not a single paid-a-win mechanic here. And that kind of goes with what you just said. It doesn't matter if you're a bajillionaire. You can't actually secure a mythic hero. And it doesn't matter if you're a bajillionaire and you show up two weeks late, you can't pay to win.
The only way you win is by participating in the game. So money, let me put it this way, money cannot get you a in-game advantage, right? So what you're referring to is the mint, there's two mint mechanics. You can either just do the normal mint, but if you want a higher opportunity for a larger chance to get a rarer
hero, then hey, we'll let you pay a little premium. However, I want to note something, a more rare hero does it make you better at the game and it doesn't make increase your chances of winning. What it does give you is the opportunity to increase your ability
to find additional NFTs, these heroes, but that doesn't make you better at the game. That doesn't make you better or more competitive than anyone else. That may increase your return or your ability to earn because you're finding additional NFTs, but that doesn't impact your ability to be better or worse than anyone else.
It's so cool. No, I just want to mention real quick and if it's okay I put in the nest just a tweet with a link to the discord if people want to find out more information and also in the comment And I'll put in the comments here a link to the medium where people can like read all this stuff to there's a bunch of summaries and they're that are really great and I
And then in the town halls and stuff, there's also gameplay walkthroughs stuff like that. I'm also going to be doing some more content. Crypto Grady down there in the audience will be too about this game. So you can actually see the game, see how it's played, see all the things that Bloder Punch is talking about. Right? The team is very accessible and very transparent, which I think is very important.
I think it's very important as well. I wanted to ask a bit about, let me scroll down here to my notes. I wanted to ask a bit about the gameplay and the progression of the game.
But rather the progression of the game are through different worlds, other different levels, you know, how long are you expecting it to take the average player to go from, you know, the A to Z as far as progress and then how often you guys plan on updating the game.
updating the content, putting out patches, all that good stuff. Yeah, great questions. So let me frame it this way. So we've talked about the typical Web3 model, which is some people win, founders win, early wins, but if you're late, you're probably losing
to game and musical chairs. So we came up with this premise, okay, and this is uncomfortable for some people, but it's super important. And that is, if everyone wins, it's a Ponzi scheme, right? If that's the pitch, well, everyone can win, that's a Ponzi scheme. But if you said, well, some people can win, but there will also have to be losers.
If you were transparent about that up front, I think that's super important and the only way for a sustainable tokenomics system to function long-term. There's going to be winners and losers. To answer your question, how does the game work? What we're launching with in May, which is version 1.0, fully complete game, is a seasonal model.
What you will do is you will purchase a Genesis hero hopefully, right? People listening may decide to purchase Genesis hero. You need a hero to play the game and that gets you access to the season. When you participate in the season, if you do well, you could 4 or 5x the entry fee for the season.
a season cost $10 to play and you did really well. You might walk away with $100. Now there's some people in that season who will do really poorly, who will, as Doug said, die a bunch of times to a mighty stag. And if they do poorly, guess what? They can't earn, right? They're going to lose their entry fee. So there's that winner loser
dichotomy that's super important for a healthy ecosystem for the last long term. But to answer your question, well, what does it look like? So season one, an average game run should last you between on average and there's a distribution. So there's going to be tails to this on both ends of the distribution. But it should take you about 22 days.
And what that means is it gives you from beginning of the game to beating the game. Then at the beginning of the next season, you have the opportunity to reset and begin again and do another run. And based on how well you do in that run, you may win or lose. So, die is obviously not a good thing. And we want to avoid dying because you want to beat your computer.
feeding against everyone else in this season, if that makes sense. And so our first priority post launch is to create a perpetual or venturing mode where it's not seasonal and it's not competitive. Because I think some people get really excited about that. Some people want a different feel, a different experience. And we
want to make sure we're not too niche and excluding certain people who want to play. So version 1.0 will be a seasonal competitive model where there are both winners and losers, but then immediately after our first priority will be to create an adventuring mode where there is no seasonal play. You don't have to worry about competing against people. It'll be more relaxed.
your upside might be less, but it's a more, it's still a fun engaging experience and we want to create those experiences for the widest, widest, broadest possible audience. Love it, love it guys. Want to talk really quickly about DCX. I know that you
You said there's a 30 day cliff, 12 month besting period. What is the utility of the token within the actual game itself? I think that we've seen with a lot of other Web 3 games. You have this utility token and there is too much of it being minted.
There are not enough burn mechanisms and by burn mechanisms I mean actual in game utilities for the token not just burning a bunch of tokens on chain. What are you guys planning for the DCX token and for players to be able to use it within your ecosystem? Yeah, to your point when you emit 40,000% APR it's a lot
tokens into the ecosystem and if there's nothing to use it for what am I going to do with it, I may reinvest it into the project or I may just sell it and to your point that's a that's a race to zero. So our system is different one because no one I'm not holding tokens day one. So there's no negative subpressure from me or from any of the team or from any of the investors.
You know, emissions just shoot into the atmosphere. But to your point, what is the utility? So it's a couple of things. One, to participate in the season requires DCX. To summon new heroes using summoning shards for Genesis heroes requires DCX. There's something called a skill book. Think about it like a spell book, and when you discover it, it's
and NFT that you can permanently consume to permanently strengthen your hero learning a new spell that requires DCX. So day one, there's immediate utility which we think will be very good for the project and for the ecosystem. And then we're not idiots and I think you've touched on this, which is it'll be
It's super important to continue to provide maximum utility opportunities for the token. Those are the primary three on day of launch. So there is utility day of launch. But our focus, our laser focus is maximize opportunities for players to establish DCX utility.
Love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. So I know that this is mainly supposed to be a PvE game. Have you guys decided if you want to add a PvP mode at some point in the future? I'm a big PvP guy, especially when it comes to RPGs and MMOs. What do you
have planned in the pipeline as far as a player versus player featured integrated into Dragons Crossing. So PVP is definitely on the radar. It's part of the roadmap, but roadmaps are so cliche and they have left such a bad taste in my mouth. I hate talking about it because I want to talk
about what is the value where 100% committed to delivering in the short term and the focus has to be on what we will deliver not what we want to deliver in the long term. So I would say yes just to answer your question because you asked it yes PVP is a priority but again my number one laser focus
right now is on delivering a great product in May. It's not about speculating or putting together a strategy for the long term. Is that important? Yes, but it's not my laser focus. I don't want people to join the project because of a promise that will come a year later. I want people to join the project because they see
value immediately, they see our team, they see our mechanics, they see our commitment, and what we're going to deliver in the short term immediately. But yes, PVP, really exciting. I have some really cool ideas that I haven't shared with the team yet, partly because it's just not on our focus, but I think there's some really cool stuff we could do with PVP.
Yeah, I want to throw it over to Doug here in this like this one more question On the topic of the team how big is the team how many developers you have Building this game out and also what is their prior experience with building video games Yes, so I'm glad you asked that so the team is about 10 strong
right now, three of them are developers. Our main architect, his name is Dee, has been in the Web 3 space since Web 3 began. I think he said he is the one who developed the first hardware wallet for Bitcoin, I believe. I have the, someone should fact check me on that. I believe that's what he said. He's been fantastic.
We've been working together for a year. We have two other developers, a front-end developer named Deltoid Punch and a backend developer named One Punch. All three, so Deltoid Punch, the front-end, works at a Fortune 100 tech company and he's been fantastic. We've been working together and I know him personally, you know, IRL and then our backend developer works out
a Fortune 100 technology company and our wellness company and has been doing really great work as well. My point with that is simply we're all working professionals. And we all pretty much know each other real life. We all have full-time jobs and the reason I think that's a good thing is we all come from industry
We come with really rich experience and we come not because we're DGENs, although we sometimes are, and not because we have to make this work or we're not going to eat. It's like, no, we love the project, we're passionate about it, but we all have families, we all have full-time jobs, and we're doing this because we really believe there's an opportunity here.
Doug, the mic's your sister. Hey, thanks so much. I just want to jump in quick because I added the tweet about a white list giveaway. We're going to do a white list giveaway and I'll let Blowder talk about the white list a little bit more in a second. But the thing I want to do is like to fur the white list giveaway. You have to be in the space here with us.
and you have to follow dragons crossing well coin talk of course like retweet take three get more people in the space here so they can hear about this cool project and I would like you to jump in the discord and for extra bonus you can jump in the discord and you can describe how I would die if I got killed by a chonker that's like been the mo
of me doing whitelist giveaways, it's really fun. We have a lot of fun with these games Noah and you know like your gamer we talked about it in the DMs and personally and stuff and a lot of it is the competition and the fun and I make all these jokes about how like I jump in the game and start playing and all of a sudden I'm playing this great Steg and the guys
like sidestepping me, he's dodging my attacks and I'm like I'm a ranger over here. I should be able to take out a deer but like it's so exciting to actually have a game where like things are on the line. Like when I got killed by that stag I lost all my items except for one item and I'm just like oh my goodness this is not good. I need to learn and understand
saying how this game works. So that's part of the reason we're going to be doing gameplay review and all this stuff to help people along and all of us learn together. But yeah, I just want to invite people to go up there and check the jumbo tron. Get up there and comment on that tweet. Take some friends and then we'll do a white let's give away a little bit later. Yeah, I love to hit the wireless we can
you have a whitelist you are eligible to try for a 50% off. Why I say try? We are oversubscribing the whitelist so we want there to be there will be more people with whitelist codes than have then there are discounts available by about 2x so if there's 300 discount
available for 50% will probably have 600 people holding whitelist codes approximately. Now, I will say if you are whitelist holder and there's enough hype that you tried but couldn't get a hero during the whitelist phase discount, we will give you an additional phase to participate. You won't get a discount but you will get a guaranteed mint.
So even if you're a white list holder, you want to get it on the white list, you got a white list, but you couldn't get the discount. We will have a separate phase for you to get a guaranteed mint. So at the very least, you don't have to compete in the public mint for space. You get a guaranteed mint. So we want to make sure we take care of those who have white list spots, even if they can't get#
Yeah, no, I just real quick. I want to reiterate and jump off of this real quick with a white list. So this white list discount is significant. It's really large. You know, there's some people that might want to play a game like this and be very competitive and compete for awards and compete for like the token at the end of the season.
right and like climb that ladder. But there's also people that will want to, you know, maybe play the game and have fun and compete to get items and have cool items. I want to have like the best Ranger and have like the best bow and air bow and stuff right. And the thing is that I want to also be able to
that. So if you have one of these Genesis heroes, that is going to be the only way that you can actually summon and get more heroes, right? Unless you buy the shards on the open market. So having one of the Genesis heroes in a collection like this and a project like this is very powerful. And there's a huge
amount of buzz and desire to get on this whitelist. So it's something that I think is really special and awesome, the way that it's set up and the people that really love gaming and the people that get in here and want to be part of this game and really believe in it and check it out read the media article getting the discord. I think you're going to find
That is a really cool opportunity right now. So that's why I wanted to make this tweet and do a whitelist giveaway for your audience here Noah because it's freaking awesome and The way you set it up loader punches so cool because I know I'm jazzed about Genesis NFT heroes like that's for me like a huge thing
and I love it. And I can't wait to get in there and start getting tons of those shards. You know what I mean? Like those hero shards and some and more heroes is so cool. And we're controlling the actual amount of heroes in the game. It's up to the community. It's not up to the developers, which is super awesome.
So super hyped about this white list giveaway and you guys have laid it up pretty I'm already in the discord. I just got to come up with a way that Doug gets wrecked right? Doug is a junk guy. Wait, is this WCT now? Are you in the discord?
Yeah, I am. Okay, awesome. Doug is a chonker in disguise who wants to be a ranger. Yeah, guys, hop in the discord. Audience members, hop in the discord. Get hyped about this. Get a whitelist spot for yourselves.
So the exact cost will be $300 and that
will be mid may will be minting around mid may will stop to we will stop to announce the exact date but we will minting around mid may have you guys decided on the chain yet that's also something I saw that on the meeting have not decided on the chain we are not yet able to announce it we're still putting together the
We want to make sure it's a big deal when we announce. We should expect an announcement within the next one to two weeks max, but yes, the chain has been decided and we are we're moving forward with that chain. Awesome. Well, look, I want to I want to let some audience members come up and ask questions.
I don't know if there's anything I think we went through all the high-level components and broke things down. Is there anything that I might have missed? I wanted to ask about the artwork. The artworks beautiful. Who's responsible for that? So in the discord right now, I'll call her out here as well, but the artist has been fantastic and the artist
This is artist for our work is Domino Sejian. I just called her out in the general chat of the discord. She's been fantastic. I think there have been projects where the artwork is cringed right? Artwork was a huge focus for us. And so yeah, we I 100% agree with the artwork is fantastic and I just called her out in the discord.
Yeah, no doubt. We talked about items and zones and skills. I think at a high level, we could definitely dive into those more. But maybe I should ask questions about those. Doug, let's go to Doug and then go to I should. Hey, thanks so much. I just want to reiterate, guys, that this white list, I always say it's up to your own discretion whether you want to mint something, whether you want to be part of projects#
projects, do your own research, all that stuff. But we're here, like me and you'll see crypto grading, the audience and even brown gent, who are here to help guide you along produce content, really get in depth. So like if you come into this ecosystem, you're going to be supported by like not only people that are Twitter personalities, but YouTube personalities that are going to go over all this content, make it fun and
really examine the thing to the ground level like deep dive into it. So you're going to have all the support. And the thing about it is that this white list, the difference in price is gigantic, right? So getting on that white list is a huge advantage. Like I'm just like, bro, I want on that white list. The difference between a base genesis hero is 150 or
$300. That's half price, right? So that will vote your paying for the NFT $150 if you're on the white list and you get a spot and you end up getting one of those heroes $300 in public, right? Now you have to imagine that like, and it's just I'm assuming like this is somebody that actually is in this game and wanting to mint. Now you're looking forward and then this
game. The Genesis hero that you own is the only way to get more heroes in the game. So you can sell those shards, you can sell the heroes you summon. But once those Genesis heroes are minted out, like that's it. So if you're interested in the game and you think it's fun, you like the community, I would just say that like, you know,
Think about that the white list is something that's like literally half the cost So let's you know the white list giveaway that we're doing people are like feverishly in the discord trying to get these white lists and ask it where they can get them and stuff So that's why we like to do these giveaways for like your audience know what because this is such a cool show and I would really like to share this with others and
a river but get swept away in the current because he's like little John and doesn't know how to swim. Okay, so that's hilarious because that makes me look terrible. In the past, some of the fun ways of, oh, here we go. We'll get hit by a chonker in ways that will make chips and salsa and get narrow ban me for my words. Use your imagination, right?
how will he die? He will die alone in his own blood, screeching my whole, re-screening my whole life. What have I done wrong to end like this? That's true. I might actually do a flashback. And then, so for Knight also says, Doug is actually a chonker in disguise who wants to be a ranger. So there's a lot of fun
the other day people are making up stuff where like I slip on the mud and I shoot my arrow and it comes back and hits me and pierces me in the chest and then I fall in the fire and I'm on fire and then like then like a big dragon comes by and picks me up and drops me from a thousand feet it's really funny the creativity know that's happening
So I think no, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna pick somebody, I'm gonna pick a random person to give a white list, anybody that participates, and then I'm gonna pick somebody that has the best response in the discord for the best way that I die by a chunker.
Alright, while I should ask her question, I'm gonna get creative and see if I can be one of those winners.
No, you don't need to be a winner. We're giving you a white list personally anyway, but you can win multiple wins. Well, I'll save that for someone that deserves it. I like yours and any audience member that wants to come up and ask questions. The course opened.
Yeah, thanks, Noah. So according to a medium article, players in Dragon Crossing have access to four actions during combat, attack, scale, flee and persuade. Can you provide more information on how the skill and persuade actions function? So yeah, absolutely.
So skill is a very precious resource that goes back to those NFT skill books you can find and consume. They become permanently part of your hero and then it's like a spell, but you only get so many uses a day. So you only get so many actions a day and you only get so many uses of your skills a day. That resets daily. So skill is a really precious
resource because it's so small but it's very powerful and it actually happens outside the combat round. So you get to do it immediately it takes immediate effect and the monster doesn't get a chance to respond. So skills are precious they're rare you start out with two basic skills and then each class has nine
additional class specific skills that they can find as they adventure in dragons crossing. So skills are very powerful. Persuade is a non-combat mechanic that leverages your charisma score. So think about if you find a monster but instead of trying to kill it you charm it, you talk
your way out of a conflict and by doing so you preserve your resources which are your health, right? Health is a super important resource. So if you are a charisma-driven character, if you're putting points in charisma or if you are maximizing your items towards a charisma build, then persuade maybe the route you want to go.
Now you can't always persuade monsters, so it's not a guarantee, like if you had a million points in charisma, you start to fight sometimes, right? Sometimes monsters can't be charisma, but for those that can, a charisma build could be very powerful because it essentially allows you to skip all the blood and guts, and that means you can be a much more efficient question.
I'm also wondering if players will have the ability to capture monsters rather than defeating them for loot and potentially tame them to fight alongside the play in battles against other monsters.
That is a fantastic idea. I love that idea, kind of like Monster Hunter or Monster Trainer. That mechanic is not currently in the game, but definitely one I'm going to write down and talk with the team because I like that idea.
I'm glad you like that. So I'm also curious to know if there is a limit to the number of battles or quests that a hero can complete within a 24-hour period. Yes, the baseline number of quests has not been announced. It'll be probably around something like
20 actions a day or 20 quests. Now keep in mind, healing takes quests, buying items because you need additional items takes quests, and there's no way to pay for more quests. A billionaire could not get more quests. So it's a very valuable resource
that you have to manage, right? The better, more efficient you quest, the faster you'll get stronger, the better you'll do in the season. So you have to be very careful about how you spend those valuable quests. And I love it because there's really not a great analog for today's gaming world, but in this environment,
Once you add a quest, you're done. Full stop. There's no way to get more quests. And so it kind of leaves you kind of on the edge of your seat. If I want to play Elgin Ring, I can play it for 48 hours straight. And not to say we're competing with Elgin Ring or we're better than Elgin Ring, we're definitely not Elgin Ring's a fantastic
game. But the point is it's kind of a cool mechanic that used to exist in some legacy games. But we haven't really seen it and I just love that idea of you participate, you go on your run for the day, it takes you maybe 10 or 15 minutes, and then you're done. And not only are you wanting left wanting more, but for those people
like me, I'm 36 years old. I'm a dad. I don't have five hours to spend to compete with some of these other gamers. And so having an experience that's only 10 to 15 minutes in length, it's fun. It's there's a beginning, middle and end daily. And then I can just come back tomorrow. So I like that mechanic.
Wonderful. Okay. Last thing for me. Is there a scholarship or delegate program available where NFT honors can lease out their NFTs to players and the revenue earned can be shared
between the NFT owner and the players. So that's a great question. It's not when we talked about it length, but it is something we've seen in other projects and has worked well. I would say our model might not
particularly benefit from a scholarship model. But if the community, if it's something the community, so day one of we launched the community saying, Hey, this would be great. We definitely added. It's not something we would be against at all.
Thank you so much for answering all my questions. Yeah, absolutely. Thanks for asking. Thank you, Aisha. Let's swing it over to United 786.
United, can you hear us?
He had requested, but I think he might be AFK or maybe he's coming up with a way to kill Doug in game. I don't know. I'd like to think that's what he's doing right now. He's probably typing something out because people do what I'm telling you. Crispy by you just wrote like a 10 page essay and how I died from like he's curious.
me in a jungle, my spirit flies away and then a chunk or eats it like before I can come back alive before I'm revived like it's getting amazing in there. That's part of the thing Noah and Blowder about video games that I love is like the storytelling the lore. We all like love games like Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 7, you know,
and give you quests and things of that nature and it's given you an experience right like it's like a 2d game right they made it that way so they could come out with a game quickly and actually have a game that delivers and it's here for you to play and because that's the thing in Web 3 is often people try to do these big things and then they never get
it done or it's not very good game. The direction of this game is making the game good and making it fun, have great graphics and like you feel immersed. When you open the game and you hear the sound just hits you like a wave in the chest like you are in the world of dragons crossing right. Yesterday I was playing and this guy comes up to me this mage
and he's like, "Tell me, he's like, don't enter dragons crossing the people that have done it in the past." You know, I'm gonna warn you right now and I'm just like, "What is happening, dude? I am terrified of like everything in this game right now." And that's the thing is that a lot of games are just like, you know, kind of fun and interesting, but this game is exciting. What's up#
I think you might be having issues with this mic. Let's go to Rahmatz. If you want to fix your mic and come back up, you're more than welcome to Rahmatz.com.
The mic is yours and I'm going to bring up Mr. CryptoGradier in a moment. Thank you. After reading the medium page, I learned that if a hero dies in the game, a player will lose all of their inventory items except for one. To prevent losing valuable NFTs, player must camp and sign a transaction for each item.
they want to move to the chain. So I am curious to know more about how will place be able to camp and transfer their items to their wallets as well as how convenient will it be to transport these items back from the wallet to the game when needed.
Yeah, excellent question. So let me just explain camping real quick. Camping means you only have a certain amount of quests a day. But if you found an NFT, it doesn't become an NFT till you camp. Okay. Now here's the tension. If you found an NFT,
If you want to save it and you know if you die while questing you lose it, you have to decide if you're willing to forego the rest of your questing and camp or risk continuing to quest and doing your thing, acknowledging that hey if I die I lose this. Now, ideally you'll continue questing you won't die and then you'll camp.
camp you'll sign some transactions there by creating these new NFTs they'll be taken from your inventory and they'll be put in your wallet okay so that's the camping mechanic does that answer your question about it I'm sorry there may have been a first part I didn't address yeah you answered that okay the next question so I was thinking do
So the whole premise of version 1.0 or seasonal play is that when you join your competing against everyone else
in that season or cohort. And so let's say, and we haven't released these numbers, but let's say you were in the top 15% of players. That means if the entry fee for the season was, what you're going to say $10, you would get $50 back or something like that. As a prize,
for doing so well in that cohort. Okay, so that's part of it. The other part of it is as you quest you can find NFTs. So there's two mechanisms to provide rewards for players who participate in the game. One is there's a prize system based on a ladder system or seasonal play and then there's also a
the opportunity to find valuables during questing. And these valuables can be traded on the open market like summoning shards which produce new heroes and like skill books which are like spells. - Understood. Okay, I was also thinking that on which game engine have you built your study card game?
See that one more time sorry. Which game engine have you utilized for building your game?
Oh, game engine. Oh, got it. Yeah, so this is a it's a well, we built it in ASP.net is the back end. It's a browser-based game. So there's no engine per se. And again, Doug's point. It's a 2D
game. And I want to talk about this for a second. The reason it's a 2D game and the there's no 3D environments, there's no physics is because we know that's a really expensive thing to produce. And so we indexed really high on certain things like art, like professional
voice acting for heroes and monsters and NPCs like sound effects for all this flavor, lore which is also voice acted. So we indexed on a couple things we thought were really important that could add texture while managing the cost of development which is extremely
problematic. And so for that reason, I think you'll find it in a simple delivery, which is a 2D term-based RPG, very typical of old-school RPGs, but with modern textures that I've just described.
unethical players may be utilizing browser extensions or scripts to automate gameplay or alter the game code which can give them an unfair advantage over other players. So could you be provide details on the security measures that you have implemented to wide such hacks?
Yeah, so a couple things one if a game can be manipulated because it's simply web-based then Any application is not worth anything if it can be done that way So think about you do your online baking on a browser, right? It's still secure now obviously online baking has incredibly
security measures in place. So first and foremost, just because it's web-based doesn't mean it's inherently risky, I would say. The second part is everything we do is with risk in mind. So all of the programming and development is always what is the attack surface? What is
the potential for risk and how to mitigate. But keep in mind, again, I don't know if you're familiar with development, but nothing is really happening on the front end. The only thing the front end does is take your input and show you stuff. So if you're like, well, I hit the monster and I want to know how much damage I did, the front end
has no access to decide how much damage you did, that's the back end. Then the back end calculates that and get returns that to the front end. So when you say, well, I want to manipulate damage that's literally impossible unless you compromise the back end, which is of course, we're doing everything we can and at
you know constantly testing our own development to make sure no one has access, no one can compromise any of our APIs. >> Yeah, backend is on a centralized server, correct? >> That is correct. >> Okay. God, thank you so much for answering. How are you now? >> Yep.
I want to just jump in and say real quick the competition is really high for the white list, but there's only about eight people that have called that even qualified right now. So if you're thinking about getting a white list, jump in the discord, retweet that tweet, take some friends, and you're going to have a really high chance of being that white list. And I'm just telling you from experience.
like a lot of the people that are trying to get this white list are from the discord itself because they know how valuable and how rare it is to get on this white list because it's such a great advantage and so I just want to let people know so they have a chance to make sure to go up and do that retweet that, take some friends, jump in the discord, just say hi and you
you know, if you tell people how I might die according to a chunker, that's going to help your cause a lot. We're going to pick two people to give a white list away to. So your your odds right now are like 20% or something that you get a white list. It's super, super high. It's crazy insane. So I want to just, you know, nudge people
to jump in there and participate and have some fun. Even if you just want to have some fun in the discord and hang out and chat to people, check out the medium. No big deal, man. It's just fun. And I invite you to come along. Now, let me spice the pot a little bit. So for anyone who's on this call, who's a long time well coin
in the chat in the discord if you give your favorite thing about Noah the host and again the OGs will do this well right if you've been around you know Noah well right I don't know a no that way I'm kind of new to the scene but if you get in the discord and you're like I
want to whitelist so bad but I didn't win the Chalker competition. Drop your favorite thing about Whelcoin Talk or Noah specifically the host and he can pick the winner. If he calls them out in the discord I will give them a whitelist as well. So any OGs to Whelcoin who know Whelcoin Talk who love Whelcoin Talk and who love Noah
past, you know, in the different contest. But right now people are just trying, they're writing like literally essays about how I die from the Chonkers. No, like that's how bad they're trying to win this contest, which I love. That's what I want to see creativity fun. And we also learn a lot about each other, not personalities. No, that's the best part.
Well, I'm excited to see what people come. The first message is ridiculous already. It's so funny. We're going to start getting some funny messages in the general chat. Thanks for that, Blutter. I appreciate it.
them and have some fun with it. I think we have we have crypto gradi on the mic. Yeah, Noah, I was going to say, this is the first time I've ever met you. Shout out to Doug for somehow setting the set. This is phenomenal. I love the vibe here. And I'm excited to listen to your
future spaces. Man. And so what makes me so excited about this project, Dragons Crossing, is the why is so loud and obvious to what's driving Bloder Punch and Baby Punch and Sandwich Punch and the rest of the team, if you get to know them well, which I know the team pretty
especially Samuch Punch, known for a long time, he's a lawyer, phenomenal guys. They have such a strong, wide, that's so loud in resonating, they're not money-driven. They have a vision and a passion. Blader Punch has been a gamer for a long time. Dungeons and Dragons style of type games.
He wanted to create an awesome thing. He always had it in his heart. He was always in there. And then one night he couldn't sleep. This was over a year ago. And he couldn't help it. And then he was shot down, shot down, shot down. Your nuts. Don't try and start a project. What are you thinking? What are you doing?
couldn't help it and he actually did this because the Y is driving him so strong. It's not about making a quick buck. It's not about making money for him. It's about making his dream game that's awesome. That's a fair playing field for all. And it's fun. And so it got me so excited. I couldn't help it.
but reach out to them. And because the first thing I look at in all crypto projects is the fundamental why or purpose, cause or passion that's driving the primary founder of the project. What is the why? Are they money driven? What are their core values? What, you know,
What is this all about and why do we need the token? Okay, and that's the first thing I look for with in this case man dragons crossing and One other thing I was gonna know I think the game is going to be very addictive to play there's big incentive to own life
of heroes because you want it'll give you multiple chances to compete in these different contests. And so I'm so excited about this. Shout out to Noah. I'm excited to jump in your other spaces as well. And I would love to even have you on the YouTube channel with
Doug sometime. Love you man. Hey man love you too. Thank you so much for the kind words and would be fun to get on the YouTube channel. You're always welcome on any of our spaces. We host spaces every day if it's not me it's Glenn if it's not Glenn it's acting and yeah I mean it's it's been a it's been a pleasure having you guys on
Blowder dog, you know, I I love video games and I love seeing people build web 3 games and I I love people seeing them I love people I love seeing people build them correctly So it sounds like you guys are on the right track with not just your in-game mechanics, but you're tokenomics
and the way that you're democratizing the distribution of NFTs, the lockup period for the early investors, I'm about it. So I don't know if you have any concluding thoughts. It seems like we have a bit of a shy audience today. I don't see any more requests. I don't know if you have any closing thoughts. Doug and Bloder.
and Doug for the community, but if so, go ahead and share them now. Otherwise, it's been a pleasure. No, my concluding thought is this is awesome. Thank you for doing well, Coin Talk. Thank you for having us on. We're really loving the contest here in the discord. So again, just to shout out, if you are at all interested or want to learn more, we have a website, Dragon's Cross
We have a Twitter at Dragons Crossing. We have a YouTube channel Dragons Crossing. We have the Discord which is Dragons Crossing. So check it out. You know, come hang out. Worst case if you don't decide to participate. The Discord is super fun. We have tons of fun in there. We're constantly doing whitelist contest. Don't forget about the Whalecoin Talk whitelist contest.
contest going on right now, drop your favorite thing about Wellcoin Talk or NOAA, the host in general chat. We will pick a winner. He will pick a winner and you'll get a whitelist. Again, NOAA, thank you for having us. Yeah, first of all, thank you, blood here for the kind words and thank you for coming on and Doug, go for it, sir.
Sorry, um, yeah, I wanted to pick the random person for the giveaway and then we're also going to pick somebody from the discord, but I can give people a little bit of time to jump in and do that. Still even after the space closes, but the person that I'm that is actually done all the retweeting the likes and following is hope. So hope I'm going to DM you right now. Well, actually, I
I can't DM me. You have to follow me back, but I'm going to send you a message and say like, hi DM me. So congratulations to you. You won the random giveaway. And everybody that's in the space now, feel free to jump on that tweet that's up there, jump in the discord. If you've never used discord before, send me a DM message me whatever
I can include you somehow and help you get into the discord and figure it out. But also, just so you know, this is a white list giveaway now, but there's lots of other on the white list in the future. And more in the contest, if you watch the Town Hall, they do giveaways in there where they do contests and they'll do quizzes, bloater likes to do different
like trivia is a lot of fun and I'm telling you like you know there's so much fun to be had here like I hang out on crypto grady's channel all the time on YouTube when we talk about web 3 gaming and we're going to be talking about Greg is crossing and we bring all kinds of fun people on the channel it's a blast like in bloater punch you've been so cool the
team has been so amazing and like you guys not only have a great mantra of like what you care about your ethos and your drive and your why for the game which is attracted me and crypto-graded to join your team but also my thing that I've done know and people might not know this at conferences I'll go to conferences whether I'm on panels
in the audience and I'll tell projects, hey, you really need to uplift the community. You need to go to the influencers and the people streaming and the people creating content in their community and really support them. And like, bloater punch and the team has done that already from the beginning. They grabbed Crypto Grady who is an amazing phenomenon on YouTube and said, like,
Okay, come be part of the team, baby. You know what I mean? And like just from the beginning, set the tone that people in the community are the driving force and that's what's important about this project, which is so refreshing and amazing, right? And it makes me so engaged. I want to have so much fun with the community. I mean, there's people in here like do writing
like so many extravagant things of me getting killed in interment and interdimensional travel by dears getting knocked off a cliff and interment and then another intermentional deer comes shows up. It's nuts man like the discord right now is so fun. Blotter Punch is having fun. We're gonna do a giveaway possibly when we hit a hundred people he's possibly Blotter Punch
just mentioned that. So this whitelist is really powerful and there's a lot of chances for you to win and it's really cool. So like I invite people to go up there, share the tweet, jump in the discord and I think everyone so much for all the different ways I'm going to die in the game from a Chonker because believe me man, like this game is no joke.
If you like video games, you want to challenge yourself and you want to have the possibility to have win NFTs and find NFTs on your journey, like this game might be right up your alley. And come hang out with us and see if it's something you're into. I invite everyone here just to check it out. And I thank you so much Noah. This is kind of the last chance to get in there and get in there.
the discord so I advise you do it. And we'll do some more spaces in the future. We'll be doing more like YouTube streams. We're going to have a lot of fun like working up to the mint. And then there's so many possibilities in the future for like all the different animal elements that could be added to the game and really a lot of fun to be had. No, so thanks so much for having us.
And sorry, I forgot to mention this last thing in the discord right now. We're doing a really crazy giveaway It's not a white list. We're actually giving away I think it's seven I can't remember the five or seven Genesis heroes So again, there's constantly giveaways going on this one. We're actually giving away heroes. It's not you don't have to pay any
anything. You just get a free hero. It has to do with the Discord giveaway contest. So come into the discord, check out the various contest, constant white legs, white legs, giveaways, some hero giveaways. So check it out. And again, sorry, Noah, thank you so much. No, no, thank you guys so much. Thank you for again coming on. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful project with us and thank you for the White List giveaway. The Discord's lit guys, you can still join, get involved and looking forward to seeing you guys launch the game here in about I think a month.
And yeah, I think it's going to be an interesting mint with these kind of lottery systems, right? Not everyone can go after a mythic, not everyone can go after a legendary. This is again democratization of the heroes, but I digress with
We'll point to our community, you're listening to an episode of the aquarium. Today we had dragons crossing on. Remember that everything you hear on this broadcast meant for educational purposes only nothing is financial advice. So be safe out there and we'll see you all on the next one soon. Take care. Thank you.
