Hello everyone and welcome back to another live stream on polka dots Twitter account today. I'm so excited to have with us Thomas
Lisa and Pac-Man from twin
Lisa I actually ran into you at eat Denver. You were at the polka dot booth. We were talking a little bit about twin
RWAs the tokenization of gold and so on but for those that weren't't in Dendro, didn't have the pleasure of meeting you,
can you just tell us a bit about what is it
that Twin is looking to do?
What is the mission and the vision?
So Twin is a real world asset tokenization platform.
And we're starting off with tokenizing gold.
I think everyone understands gold.
It's almost like a universal language. It's
been around for centuries, if not millennia. And we're bringing basically gold on chain.
We're doing lots more as well, both in terms of other assets, but also the kind of mechanisms
in which you can use the gold, which are novel to this industry.
So I would say in terms of our mission and vision, it's really focused on creating a more equilibrium in wealth distribution, because, you know, as we all know, most of the wealth of the world is just sitting with very few people.
just sitting with very few people.
And I think tokenization with the fractionalization of assets
can bring about some positive change on that account
and creating accessibility to more and more people worldwide.
And it's very timely to be speaking about gold, Thomas,
because gold recently just hit an all-time high.
It's usually a safe haven asset.
There's a lot of uncertainty with trade wars at this moment.
So people going into things like gold.
Why has gold been a store value
for over 2000 years, do you think?
Well, yeah, that's well, pardon the pun, but that's the golden question.
Well, yeah, that's well, pardon the pun,
but that's the golden question.
But, you know, it's down to, it's down, in my opinion, it's down to the fact that gold
You know, the gold that you find and see has been around since the Big Bang, and there
isn't going to be any more of it. So there's a finite amount and it's traditionally,
going back to when bartering started,
gold was one of the assets that was used in trade
and it's been really at the centre of trade
and if you like finance, really since that point.
So it's the finite amount of gold and of
course anything that's finite has, you know, when the demand goes up then its value normally also
increases. And in your white paper you reference I think one of the cattle, the impetus for you starting, Twin, or one of them
was the liquidations at Silicon Valley Bank,
among others, a couple of years ago.
Can you just tell me a bit more about that
and how that influenced both you and Lisa to start, Twin?
Yeah, I mean, what I'll do is if it's OK,
So let's go back to sort of
mid 2022. I have a consultancy, it's in Guernsey, which is now where our partner, our precious metal
supplier is also based and where they have their vault. So back in mid 2022, I meet the managing director of operations of a financial group called Ravenscroft. And what
comes about is that more and more of their clients that hold physical gold are asking
Ravenscroft, what are your ideas about tokenization and how do you see Ravenscroft evolving? And that
had got obviously Ravenscroft thinking, but they really didn't have, you know, a clue about, about blockchain. They, they
understood that, you know, it was going to be imperative for them to evolve and to stay competitive in their market.
But they were at that time kind of at a loss of how to approach it.
And with my experience and with, you know, me having been advising a number of different Web3 and blockchain projects,
this just seemed like a very good opportunity.
And to cut a long story short,
we essentially agreed that Twin would come about
and that we would be able to offer
not just their existing clients,
the tokenized or tokenized format,
but we would be able to then expand their,
Raven's Cross reach through tokenization and that's what's got us all very, very excited.
Okay, so Ravenscroft is their custody and gold for clients.
Are these like family offices and sovereign wealth funds
type clients or just high net worth individuals? Sure, I mean they don't go out publicly with
who their clients are, yes, but you've hit the nail on the head. So they are serving those that
have had for a long time a vested interest in gold. But what's important is that Ravenscroft
So the physical vault, where the metal,
and there are actually four metals that we have access to,
it's gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.
We're focusing on gold and silver.
If there's a demand, of course we can bring platinum
and palladium on chain as well.
But Ravenscroft, not only are they providing Quinn the metals that we're bringing on chain as well. But Ravenscroft, not only are they providing twin the metals
that we're bringing on chain, but they also own the vault, which is audited, insured,
and is located in Guernsey in a very secure location.
Okay, so gold, platinum, silver, platinum. I mean, I'd be happy just to have one of those
four, not understand all four. But okay, so Ravenscroft is cussing this gold and they,
you know, their clients are asking about tokenization. So you have this idea to create
twins. So how exactly does it work? Tell, you know, what is the mechanism and what are you
looking to accomplish? Yeah, I mean, so what I could also say is that what we what we understood
is that Ravenscroft, when we first met them, they are that they have a very
niche market. They sell to a certain type of client and they
also sell in unit sizes that are way beyond most of our most of
our reach and with tokenization you could get the same asset
guarantee gold and you can break it down into unit sizes that
make sense and are affordable. Essentially, you create this global accessibility.
So that's really where Lisa and I got really fired up.
And that was just to finish off what you asked last time.
How does it work is that we are in the middle of building
a very secure payment processing part of the platform.
And when you buy our token, there is going to be,
you as the purchase of the token won't see the process
behind or behind the scene,
but essentially we are then sending funds
And once those funds have been received,
they do something which is critical.
They change the custodianship from
themselves to a twin trust. And once the twin trust then becomes the new title deed holder of
the gold or the new custodianship of the gold, we're able to mint the gold token and then send
that gold token to your wallet. And that's the sort of the circle.
I don't know if you want to add anything more there, Lisa,
I've tried to keep it very simple.
Of course, it's a much more complex structure.
But that's a top line explanation.
I could add that, obviously, in one way, tokenizing gold,
although it's complicated, there's many boxes to tick,
it's also much simpler than tokenizing certain other assets.
Because in terms of our gold, it's already audited,
regularly audited, it's insured, it's in a secure location,
it has a standard, so our gold is LBMA certified, which is the London Bullion
market association, it's the highest standard in the world,
it's all been tested, there's no doubt in terms of, you know, is this real gold,
it's already there, so in that respect, it's already ticking a lot of boxes in terms of
verification in the real world. So the tokenization aspect is a lot to do with fractionalizing it
because normally you sell gold in bars of different sizes, but each token is denominated in grams
of gold. So you can even buy a fraction of a gram as well.
So it's about the accessibility really.
And so if I understand this correctly,
so there's some amount of gold sitting
in the Ravenscroft vault.
Let's say 10% of it is up force,
you know, it can be sold or it can be purchased via your token.
Does that create like a, I'm just trying to understand it.
I mean, would that create, how would that affect the price if only a certain amount
of gold is available within the vault?
Is the price reflective of overall, like the global market price of gold, or would
it just be this, be this pot that then becomes
do you see what I'm saying like there's a limited supply of gold that can be tokenized so therefore
I think it means like the gold that's already tokenized compared to the gold that's available
globally. I can add to that so our tokens are following the LBMA spot rate.
The LBMA spot rate changes twice a day.
So we will always follow that.
And we don't have a limited supply of gold per se,
because Ravenscroft themselves are buying gold constantly
from Swiss-based refinery, one of the biggest in the world.
So we have access to massive amount of gold. So we will
have, of course, our own treasury and reserve as well to make it easy to sell gold in smaller
quantities, but with big institutional buyers, they might come in and buy 10 million, 20 million
worth of gold in one go. We're not going to have that in our treasury
and reserve, then we make the order, as soon as the order is made, Reynerskof themselves
make the order if they don't have that in-house with the Swiss Refinery and the title deeds
change even before the gold arrives at the vault in Guernsey. So it just follows exactly the LMA spot rate. That's the
benchmark. Very cool. And are there any yield bearing opportunities with the token at all, Thomas?
This is one of our USPs. This is something that we are incredibly proud of because we've created a mechanism
where we can now pay you to hold gold. And that's so cool. So right now, if you're looking
to buy gold, it will cost you. You'll buy the gold, but then the costs continue. There's
insurance and sometimes there are broker fees that you have to pay to get the gold in the first place.
With what we've devised, you're still owning gold. You're now owning gold through a tokenized format, but it's still your gold. But you'll have the possibility to enter into our monetization
mechanism where we take your underlying gold with your commission, of course,
we take your gold, and then we will be working with several banks.
We already have some indicative terms, heads of terms that are very beneficial.
And we put the gold down as collateral, and we can borrow against that collateral. And banks nowadays
look to gold as really being the very best collateral when you're going into a loan
agreement. So we could be looking at an LTV, which is a loan to value, that's what it
stands for, of around 85.15, which is remarkable. And what that means is that if we put say
a thousand dollars worth of gold down as collateral, we will be able to borrow up to 850. And what that means is that if we put say $1,000 worth of Gold down
as collateral, we will be able to borrow up to $850. And if we borrow say in dollars, we can then
take that dollar loan and we can work it in the conventional markets where we will then be looking
to see a return. And what we're doing is that that return is then shared. Part of it goes with to the
platform, to the twin platform, but importantly, part of it goes back to the token holder. And
therefore you're earning, you have the possibility of earning a passive income simply by holding our
gold token. You can increase your wealth by simply holding and standing still.
Interesting. So, okay, so you can borrow against the gold
and then you can buy things like treasuries or...
And treasuries would be considered to be one of the more less risky.
That's also reflected in how much APY you can get, say, from a UST bill.
But we will be having options, depending on what
your own risk appetite is, you will be able to then direct twin where your proportionate part
of the loan that your gold collateral has allowed us to take out, where you would like that to sit.
And of course, this is where it gets more,
yeah, there's more speculative, there's more risk,
but there is also more potential return.
And that's going to be then devised,
not by, certainly not by me, but by professionals,
fit and proper people who are qualified.
We will be working with a number of different desks, and those desks
may be inside banks, they may be independent third party brokerage desks, but they will
be basically presenting our gold token holders with options which they can opt into, and
that's where they will be able to choose where they put their goal to work.
Got it. Okay. Very interesting.
And I wanted to kind of just switch gears and go to more of the marketing
community side of things to Pacman.
I was just curious how you got involved in the project.
What really drew you to it?
And what are you looking forward to most working with the Twin team over the next
And that's a good question. So Twin is actually partnered with Mandala as well.
Mandala chain, as you know, I've been working with Mandala chain for quite some time now.
We met in Bali last year as well.
So Twin officially announced a partnership with Mandala and that's when it got my attention.
I started looking into the project.
And then as you also know,
I'm the co-founder of Kylix Finance.
And then I say it only made sense like earlier
when Thomas mentioned that you can use gold as a collateral
to borrow and lend against it.
It made sense to have Twin to be partners
with Kylix Finance because this is exactly what,
it's basically a match made in heaven.
Twin needs a DeFi protocol and Kylex needs, you know,
like something like RWA, which is gold.
So we had that partnership and then we got talking, I quite like the project.
I quite like the idea of having tokenized gold.
And then you don't have to, like, you know, there's a lot of other things
that Thomas kind of overlooked, but for example, when you're buying gold,
the main thing is the quality of the gold, you know, the purity of the gold. But this one, you know, at least when you're buying gold, the main thing is the quality of the gold,
With this one, at least when you're buying it,
you have the complete peace of mind
that you're not going to get scammed,
what's this, the gold is 100% pure.
And so that's one thing I quite like about
being able to buy gold from wherever you are in the world.
And then we started talking about marketing and things.
And as you know, Pacman Media got involved with the marketing and here I am.
And I quite like the project.
And for the next six months to a year, and to answer your question, I think the TGE is
And after TGE, I think we're all, the community is already quite excited.
Our telegram is quite busy.
Our Discord, our channel, everybody's quite excited about having Google.
I don't think there's another project out there that's done this, especially Discord, our channel, everybody's quite excited about having goals. I don't think
there's another project out there that's done this, especially in Polkadot, which makes me
really bullish in Polkadot as well. Polkadot is now coming up with these projects like DeFi, RWA,
all the new things like Mythical Games, for example. There's so many new projects out there
that are coming on Polkadot. And then imagine all the users coming to Polkadot that didn't have any
intentions or didn't have any chance to be on Polkadot before.
But now through Twin and through other projects on Polkadot, this kind of grows the community and draws a lot more attention on Polkadot.
And yeah, that's the best thing I like about it.
Okay. So some exciting partnerships with Kylex, the Mandala chain, huge fan of mandala, super exciting stuff with that.
I would be curious to, you know, Lisa, why did you guys choose Polkadot ecosystem or
how did you get involved with Polkadot and kind of chatted about it a bit at Edinburgh,
but let's tell the audience.
So, I mean, funny story, when I broke the light paper for twin
I actually used the polka dot light paper as a template because I love the structure of it
So I think I must have read the polka dot light paper like a million times
Because I was looking at it constantly, but this is some time ago. We were introduced
over a year ago to by our CTO, Nicola Blumack, to Marco
Darkomidzic, who was at Parity Technologies. So he's now our Chief Product Officer. He joined us,
yeah, just about May last year. And he was the one in a workshop, we were working on different challenges
that we were looking at in terms of being regulatory compliant. And he absolutely convinced us
that Polkadot was the right match for us. Back then, I remember, you know, one of the key
aspects that we were lacking on the chain that we had initially intended to roll out on
was the capability to do freeze and seize of assets. So this is something that you have to have to be
a regulatory compliant. You need to be able to freeze and seize it. you have that on all the stable coins, USDC, USDT, but you also need
So he was explaining to me that Asset Hub has that natively as a native tooling.
So that was a great plus.
And then of course, in terms of the interoperability and scalability, both in terms of low fees and the security of the chain and being able to scale.
One metaphor I've used before is Polkadot is like a multi-chain highway with lots of traffic
and say compared to Ethereum, which is just like one lane and it gets congested
and that congestion causes both higher fees and slower traffic.
Polkadot solves that by design. And another thing that is very interesting for us is the
sufficiency aspect. So when, for example, Twingold is deemed sufficient, you want need
docked for the transfers. And I mean, that lowers the barriers for uses
in order to interact between goals. So that's a big plus. And then lastly, I would like to add
in terms of interoperability. Today, we just announced our partnership with the Hyperbridge.
So that just came out about an hour ago. I'm very excited about that because we understand
that the future is, you know, omni-chain or multi-chain.
You have to be able to go where the traffic is
or where the customers are.
And using HyperBridge to connect to other chains,
we see that as a very optimal solution.
And I think also Polkadot is just kind of architected in the way in order to be interoperable. And that's
Okay, so lots to unpack there. So you liked the the ability.
Basically, you like the tech setup of Polkadot for you. It
was already, you know, had the regulatory compliant things that you were looking for.
I wanted to ask about regulation, Thomas, and were there any other challenges you had to overcome
to getting twin set up in the regulatory landscape or was that?
Yeah, yes, it's a great question and regulation is, you know, it is and will continue to be for the foreseeable future an area that will
require a lot of resources. I mean, essentially, there isn't a uniform regulation for tokenisation.
Certain jurisdictions look at it more as a speculative crypto. Others are leaning more towards that, okay, you're offering a one-to-one backed token so that gold is sitting neatly and one-to-one behind your token.
So if gold is a commodity, we can also then look at your gold token as being a commodity. So there are differences, so there is no simple way around it. You have to
then look and see which markets do we intend to work in or which markets do we intend to be in,
and then you need to approach the regulators and you know talk to them because there are these,
there are of course red threads that string them all together, but there are these intricacies that
are of course red threads that string them all together, but there are these intricacies
that differentiate one regulator from another. So it is a task and we take this very seriously.
I've been speaking now with regulators for a year and a half. What I can say is that
the ones that I've been speaking with are really welcoming. They see the upsides and
they love the fact that when a
project proactively contacts them and says that we have an intention to be offering our services
within your jurisdiction, they love the fact that it's the project knocking on their door.
So I've had a very good, I feel very good about the regulators because they're not looking to
I feel very good about the regulators because they're not looking to sort of put hurdles
They're looking to assist.
And by some of their own admission, looking to take on board your points to see how regulation
And where exactly in the timeline is Twin at the moment?
I mean, you have TGE coming up, but is
the product fully built out?
Just give us a little roadmap of the things to come.
Yeah, so the architecture of the platform
is fully completed with all the security aspects.
We have an enormous, I don't think you can compare the time and effort that's put
into the security aspect of the platform, a sort of military grade using air gap solution
in Faraday cages with animated cubicles.
And I mean, there's lots more to it, but I'm not allowed to say that
or describe it to the world as such, because part of it also has to be kept on the wraps,
because the more you share of the architecture, the more prone you are to hacks.
But we believe that we had to have this ultimate very secure platform
because we are expecting to sell more than millions for millions if not hundreds of millions and
you know that aspect cannot be rushed in any way. So we are approximately I would say six weeks
away from Alphonse testnet and in terms of launch we are looking somehow later this year
probably in the autumn between Q3 and Q4 to launch the first version of the platform which will be
focused on the institutional and accredited side first. Could we also that, you know,
there are exchanges that are deemed institutions.
So it's not like we're not looking to offer the gold tokens
to retail, but it might be through other marketplaces
and exchanges, and then we will develop the retail side
of the platform, which is,
it has more bells and whistles
because we have some very great
things with gamification, etc.
Okay, so Testnet, was that six weeks, you said?
Yeah, so what we call Alphorn Testnet, which is obviously not the complete version,
not the admin part of the version, but the front-facing part of the platform,
So you are not too keen on me giving very concrete time.
Business and approximate.
Yeah. Don't say anything you can't take back.
Okay, so six weeks to test that.
Yeah, launched to institutional investors, Q3, Q4, retail sometime after that.
to launch the institutional investors Q3, Q4, retail sometime after that.
Can I also just string two points together?
You're talking about regulation and Lisa was talking about the security elements.
Regulators or the regulators that I'm speaking to, one of the points that they want to see
is that we take security very seriously and that we've got solutions. So this is all part of getting regulatory compliance
is showing that what we have been working on
and it's not just the build,
it's going back to the architectural design
of actually designing how we will safely receive funds
and be able to then come through and deliver back the token that the person
or the entity has ordered.
So that's, you know, it sounds like a brief point, but there's so much work in that of
having fluid communication with the regulators and keeping them abreast on how we're developing
the platform specifically from the security side. And it will be the security that will
really allow the regulators to, I believe, to allow the regulators to ultimately
give us the green light towards retail.
To a certain extent, institutional accredited,
they also want to know that we are taking
But to a certain extent, they look at that side
of the market as, well, you know what you're doing,
you make your own decisions, you've got the resources
to make the right decisions with retail
It's very different. So so there is this this
it is a it's very much a step-by-step process and
we're seeing a phenomenal response from
the regulators that were in touch with because they've been impressed with the security elements that we have drawn up and that
That are in our architectural design
and that they can now see are being rolled out
as we build our platform.
I was listening to an odd lot with a Bloomberg podcast.
And they visited the New York Fed building
and did a tour of the vaults.
So we're talking about physical security around gold,
but then, of course, the technical security
of Twitter and the regulators are looking at that.
So it sounds like you've got some passing grades already on security then.
And it's like, for example, you can never say that a system can't be hacked into or
But if there is a hack, how far or basically how many layers in an onion
does our security structure have? And I won't go into too many details because we can't, but
the tech team, and then we've designed something phenomenal where we're getting 10 out of 10 on
our school card when we present what we're presenting that, you know, certain regulators are saying, well,
we can see that you are approaching this in a way which is, well, there's only one way
to do it and it's your way. So, you know, we feel very, very confident that, you know,
we just continue to deliver what we're delivering and the regulators will will will be will be content in working working with twin.
Nice. Okay. So like I said earlier, test net coming in six weeks, launch in Q3, Q4, Pacman.
Do you see any challenges with with growth in that period? and then, you know, looking beyond after gold and into retail and the other precious metals.
What are some of the challenges you see to growth?
I think education is very important because a lot of people still don't understand the concept of tokenization.
When you mentioned tokenization, people still, there's like three aspects where people still think it's just like another crypto token,
and it's just gonna be moving with the market volatile,
but they don't understand,
this is actually something different.
So it's tied to the gold value.
It's basically like USDT, USDC,
where it's always gonna be the price of a dollar,
And in this case, it's always gonna be price of the gold.
So I think the education is very important.
People still need to understand.
And some of the questions that we always get in the community is, what happens if I want
to, if I want one token equivalent to one gram of gold, and if I want to have it in
physical, then what do I do? So the simple answer is, yes, you can, you can always change
your tokenized gold into an actual physical gold, it's possible. But people don't know
that. So people, there's a lot of misunderstandings. I think so the main, the biggest challenge
I think would be educating the community.
And we can do that by like content, educational videos
and getting the word out there,
presentations, events and things.
But once the community understands
what it actually means to have tokenized goals
and what actually means like what a tokenized goal
represents and not basically just another crypto token,
then I think the growth is basically unlimited another crypto token, then I think the
growth is basically unlimited. At the moment, I think we're going through the phase where
we get questions. It's a very basic level of questions, but it's actually good that
we are getting these kinds of questions from the community. So people are taking interest
and we are basically working quite hard to make sure everybody understands.
Okay. Interesting that you can actually take delivery of it.
It's like a futures market or something.
Thomas, where do you see things going after gold?
Like, what's even further down on the horizon?
This is not a short question to answer.
There are so many interesting assets.
I mean, you know, I was speaking the other day about, you know,
could we tokenize future earnings on sports stars or upcoming sports stars?
Meaning that if you have, say, a 16-year-old Indian cricketer
who's showing real promise, but he's too young,
or he hasn't yet got to the point where he's working,
sorry, playing in the different leagues.
But what about if you tokenize his future potential?
And if he does make it and is one of the next generation
of cricket stars, of course he will be enjoying,
sort of, marketing agreements and sponsorship rights.
And basically there will be a revenue stream
that he will be attracting.
And those that have participated
in a previous tokenization,
then they could be getting a share of that.
And that's as creative as that.
So essentially you can tokenize anything
where the value of the asset is believed,
is recognized, I should say.
I mean, we could be looking at,
for example, going into beyond hard commodities,
and we could be looking at certain agro commodities. I've had actually
with Mandala some interesting brainstorming conversations about tokenisation of cocoa.
It is an agro commodity, it's perishable, so we have to look at it very differently
from gold, which is not perishable. Gold sits in a vault forever, whereas cocoa obviously needs to be consumed.
Nevertheless, in the same principled way as tokenising future earnings, if you look at
that cocoa is a commodity, it commands excellent returns in the markets, what about if the
token is associated with the possible returns that
selling the cocoa makes, for example? So there can be different structures, there will be
different structures. But this is what is so amazing with tokenisation, is that you
are able to take something of value, as long as that value is recognised by a sufficient number of people,
you can then tokenise it, you can break down the unit size so that make it affordable,
and you are essentially going to be able to offer all these new financial tools to a global market
and open up the accessibility. It's not that's, so it's not a, perhaps a direct answer.
I'm, you know, it's, we're also wanting the community
to give us input on where we should be going after,
after gold and silver and potentially also platinum
You know, there is, you know, there's a lot of talk
about rare earth at the moment.
And where I'm speaking from Norway,
they recently found one of the world's biggest depositories of Rare Earth.
And we're now in contact with the company that has the mining rights of Rare Earth in
Do we tokenise Rare Earth and offer that to institutional and retail investors? Yeah, that would be great.
That could be, you know, it's certainly an asset that is holding its value and is expected
to only go up in value. So if we can tokenise, you know, Rare Earth and get that into the
hands of budding investors, then that should be one, you know then that's only increasing people's options, and that's great.
Interesting. So I mean, really the sky's the limit when it comes to tokenization.
I mean, certainly all commodities, both perishable and non-perishable, can be tokenized. But then,
interesting example you mentioned about future earnings or even things like intellectual property,
catalogs of musicians and so on. Speaking of the community, Lisa, I mean, how can folks get
involved with Twin? Where can they find you? Yeah, go ahead, please.
I think a very perfect point of entry since we're having this live stream on X,
is to go and follow us on X.
So obviously we're tagged in this post.
So it's the atwin underscore rwa.
In our bio there, we have a link tree,
which links to our Telegram, our Discord,
So please join our communities. Also go to our website, twin.com, you'll find all the links there
as well. You can read more about us and you know, the docs section is there. Our white paper is there.
We also have our private sale right now and there will be a community round in the private
sale so that will be announced in the coming weeks. So you should definitely put your notifications
on in case you're interested in that. So yeah those are the ways to get involved right now I would say.
And also just we were talking about partnerships so PolyMAC is another Polkadot project that we will be partnering with in the
coming days. Just so everybody knows, like we are basically very open
partnerships within Polkadot projects.
Okay. So head over to the website, follow twin on Twitter at T V V I N
Any closing thoughts that you would like to leave us
Yeah, I'm very bullish on the different industries
that we see that we're gonna be able to align and work with.
And I'll give you one that we're spending now a lot of time
because there's so much opportunity it's coming from all sides and that's gaming. So we're now in talks and
incidentally we had an initial great meeting with Mythical Games with their CFO Casper,
but gaming in general really is now seeing the possibilities and the advantages to them
in integrating, for example, twins gold token, twin silver token into their ecosystem, whether
it's as play to earn or whether it's also introducing gold back tokens, say, as an alternative
to an in-gaming currency.
So when you're needing to spend and to navigate around a particular game,
rather than putting dollars or euros or yen or whatever your fiat currency is
and crediting your account with that type of currency,
you can credit it with gold. And what's super cool is that if that were to happen,
let's say that you have $1,000 worth of gold
in your gaming account, maybe you've only spent 100
of that 1,000, so there's 900 sitting in your account.
There's no need for it to sit idle
because we have our liquid staking mechanism.
That 900 can be working for you
whilst you're not needing to spend it,
which is really attractive.
And what I'm hearing from gaming production companies
is that that's really going to appeal
to the mentality of gamers,
is that it's not only do they have a new
and a new alternative currency
which arguably holds its value better than fiat, but also whilst they're
not spending or needing to spend it, it can earn for them and it doesn't really get better than that.
So I'm starting to really understand that our products are going to be attractive, not just in gaming, but there are so many other industries that will see the advantages of what we're doing
and bringing on chain and we'll be able to integrate our products.
So, yes, as a lasting thought, it is a huge, you know,
we're on the verge of something enormous and it's not just about getting gold, although that's very
important, gold into new investor stands. But in one way, I like to think that we're kind of going
back to the gold standard where gold is a recognized currency. And in this case, it's going to be a
currency. And in this case, it's going to be a digital tokenized currency.
digital tokenized currency.
Okay. So lots of things to look forward to. As I said earlier, the sky's sort of the limit
when it comes to tokenization and the partnerships you have, both with Mandala, Kylex, and now
you're talking to Mythical Games, which is another Polkadot roll-up, Polkadot parachain.
Lots of exciting things to come.
Just one other point also for your listeners is that, you know, and Pac-Man touched on this,
is that we're not just another crypto project or, you know, we really see the institutions that
probably wouldn't either put their big toe into this space,
now look at this space in a completely different way. And that's really encouraging for potential
liquidity capital to come into this sector. So we also feel, and it won't just be twin, but
and it won't just be twin, but all the future budding tokenization platform projects are going
to be helping bringing in critical liquidity. I remember having these conversations with certain
people in, for example, the Cardano Foundation going back in 2022 and 2023, and now we finally
have a real viable way to bring fresh liquidity in,
and certainly from institutions, that's going to be very welcomed.
Absolutely. Well, thank you so much, Thomas, Pacman, and Lisa for joining today. Lots of
exciting things look forward to from Twin. Just encourage all of the viewers to, again, follow Twin on Twitter, or x at T-V-V-I-N underscore RWA.
And with that, thank you guys so much.
I mean, let's maybe have a check-in again in six months,
or after the testnet is up, or before your launch.
So hopefully talk to you guys again.
Great, well, so nice to meet, and we'll do it again.
Bye, bye. See you. Bye-bye.
