Guys, this is the Alpha for Bear Market, right?
If you make it, you stay alive.
I see Laker here in the audience.
Laker and I also see Baron.
Guys, what the hell is going on?
What the hell is going on?
Who's the Anthony Edwards stopper?
I don't know what's happening there.
Baron, we really need to kick off those NBA spaces because it's getting out of
hand. Uh, I think it would, it would get really popular, but guys,
we still have two more minutes of intro. So drop a GM in the comments, uh,
maybe drop your team, uh, for NBA playoffs. Ah, yeah.
I see a lot of Minnesota, uh, Timberwolves there. Oh my God.
Um, and yeah, retweet the lot of Minnesota Timberwolves there. Oh my god, you MFRs.
And yeah, retweet the space and let's fucking go guys. Hey you, look nigga, one more strike, you're blue.
Word is bid on, rock escrow, boo boo and fat fit on.
Every time I get my spit on, no doubt, I spark the crit on.

Make your neck snap back.
All my own with guns blazing.
Just for those who want me to run it.
Then leave them like, who done it, suck a duck?
I do what I feel right now.

At gunpoint, stripping, grown out the car?
It's Funk Doc, you know my name, huh?
My style dirty underground, or you playing punk?
When it hits your pain, punk's Kool-Aid.
Through the vein and shit.
Snatched the trap in a dash like Damon did. Doc walked in, ran lines to shell shot. Let's go everybody, this is Grateful Show 363!
GM, GM guys! Happy Tuesday! So hyped to be here today! It's such a beautiful, beautiful day! Thank you. Thank you. Am I already rugged i think i was rugged
but none of us can hear grateful
oh all right yeah i can't hear you grateful i just thought i i have to come up uh we need a
mic check maybe i saw the reloading of the host i figured that might be what
what's happening oh my god guys can you hear me right now from from different accounts yeah yeah
yeah yeah but guys did you hear the music no the music was banging bro so oh my god this has never
happened to me before but did you guys hear the music oh my god what's happening
here oh my god we are rocking like crazy we're freaking out but this is against all odds right
we are hosting final bossu so i think it's on brand right uh but i have no idea what happened
uh i'll host from the different different phone but i don't know what's going on can you guys a já se hostím od jiného telefonu, ale nevím, co se stalo.
I think we're all set. GM grateful. How are you except for the rugging?
GM, GM, did you hear what I was saying for the intro? Or I was...
No, just the beginning of the Lakers and that's it.
When I started talking about referees in NBA, they banned me.
No, I think nobody wanted to hear that.
Those MFs in LA, they are like, holy shit.
They banned you for sure.
They banned you for sure.
At least I'm here from this account.
We've hosted Final Bossu on, I think, January 14th.
So I can't wait to talk more about how was the experience for them.
You know, we also have the revealed details, which are really interesting.
So yeah, we will have amazing chat.
But Tino, how are you doing today?
Any exciting news from your side?
It's been amazing weather over here.
I'm preparing for also some sunshine, going traveling next week uh to italy to eat some
pizza with pineapple as we often uh talk on the show uh and yeah i'm super excited about today's
show because uh i'm i'm looking at uh what kevin and the team are doing so uh excited to hear more
and all is fine all is is perfect. How are you?
Yeah, I'm doing great, man.
You know, I mentioned NBA playoffs.
I love to watch basketball.
Also, I'm exploring a lot of things in Web3 again. A lot of exciting things are happening.
And by the way, tomorrow, it it's gonna be three years since other side
mint which i remember we we were hosting spaces we were hosting spaces it was so super late here
i think it was like 4 a.m 4 a.m it was crazy and we you know i remember i had like three computers
ready i wrote down the gas how
much i want to pay i i wrote down everything i had three devices i was so ready it was crazy but i'll
always remember that night uh i think i met i minted from two wallets i think i minted to
four other deeds um yeah now i'm sitting on 20 so yeah, I actually upped my game, but it was crazy.
Yeah, still PTSD, as I also mentioned on the show.
I was also ready, but some of the stuff was just against me.
But yeah, I managed to work it out and also now stacking slowly.
And I'm happy also with my collection right now.
But we are getting more and more slowly.
But we're not, we keep promising
we're not going to be talking about it on the show.
Yeah, we don't want to talk about it
because you MFR start buying those other needs
and make them more expensive for us.
So no, we're not talking about it anymore.
It's very interesting because my other phone,
the main phone that I'm hosting the space is silent.
Like I don't hear anything from this space.
So I really hope we're not gonna react.
But as I mentioned before, against all odds, right?
Like Apple engineers were like,
no, we got to turn your iPhone off.
But we are like, no, no, we have another one, motherfuckers.
So you're not stopping us.
Man, so many crazy things happening.
I don't know if you saw that,
that Pokemon actually is coming maybe on blockchain, right?
That could be a huge, huge onboarding event
because I was just checking my bank account
And I saw so many Dapper Labs payments there.
It was nuts how much I spent on NBA Top Shot.
I still have over like 1,000 moments, man.
Oh my God, that must have been crazy.
So you should not look back.
Actually, that's, I think, the alpha.
No, the alpha is brought in because of because of that.
I actually minted my BAYC.
So I actually love that it was price for for minting BAYC.
And I had fun back in January, February 21.
if it's correct, if the rumors are correct, then it's going to be on Sui, if I understood correctly.
I think that's huge because that can be a very big onboarding event.
And if a franchise like that, if they kind of put their stamp on go ahead with blockchain, go ahead with digital collectibles,
I think we're not slowly, quickly getting there.
Ben, I have my inner feeling that 2025 will be a year of NFTs,
storytelling, and metaverse.
And I think we are getting so, so close that it's absolutely nuts
because we have other side June 2025.
Right. But there's also that Somnia network that they've been cooking some interesting tech.
It's it's really, really exciting.
I'm finally enjoying that again.
You know, from the meme coin madness, I'm having fun, enjoying the storytelling, right?
I definitely want to talk about Chimpers
because Final Boss today,
they have an amazing collab with them.
I just have my cards in the local post office.
I ordered actually one of Baron's cards,
so I will have his physical and I ordered mine.
So can't wait for that, man.
Really interesting times to be here in Web3
and, you know, enjoy the space.
Just one more thing regarding the other side and all the metaverse talk.
I went to movies with my son, with my six-year-old for the Minecraft movie.
And I told myself to watch it from the other side perspective, kind of.
So I tried to reimagine if some parts of that were possible in the other side,
or how could you do this kind of storytelling and this kind of stuff there.
And we talked about it, but it gave me such a good feeling,
because for us, and for any kind of creator uh the possibilities are basically
uh none because uh there is no physical space you can do whatever you want uh the the the you know
like the the size of the physics doesn't matter and i got so pumped up i really got pumped up
man i think metaverse blockchain and ai this combination is so, so huge. Without AI, it would be much harder, but to be alive, to be honest. It's really unbelievable.
It's really unbelievable. And I'm so bullish, man. I'm so bullish. You mentioned Minecraft,
but there's another TV series based on game, right? That's Last of Us, which is insane. I
love the storytelling and everything. We have many other movies based by games like Tomb Raider,
We have many other movies based by games like Tomb Raider, etc.
So gaming is huge and metaverse with owning your assets on blockchain, it's going to be crazy.
I think this is definitely with AI, it's going in a crazy direction.
I've been talking and thinking about it for also this week, because, you know, just for
my GM pose or whatever comes to your mind, it's getting crazy what kind of results I'm
And it's before and I do work and I have been working with all kinds of artists, illustrators,
3D artists, and I know how much time and money it costs you to get to that result but
sometimes you know for a gm post i don't need to pay two thousand dollars or one thousand dollars
for uh for like two two day work of an illustrator uh i just i just want to say gm and and do that
and whatever comes to my mind be it a comic uh and i i just usually do it in a in a traffic jam which is
completely insane and i'm enjoying it so much crazy crazy man absolutely not yeah guys let
me quickly say hi to people on stage and then we invite kev on stage and start talking about uh
final boss to reveal and what's coming next because the mechanics are really interesting so
i'll start with baron baron how you doing today man what's coming next because the mechanics are really interesting. So I'll start with Baron. Baron, how are you doing today, man?
I heard you talk about basketball.
I think that's why I call it to live and die in LA
because if you're a Lakers fan,
you're going to feel like you're dying right now.
If you're a Clippers fan, you're going to die also
because they're just fucking killing me uh anyways look forward to grateful and i's
upcoming basketball podcast we have to do that man oh my god oh hey hey real real shit though
like this isn't really interesting somebody um that from my past that they they offered me um
they want me to help them with a
sports company something and my first thought was oh grateful and i could do a basketball show
that would be interesting um i don't think there's ever enough time away from the board
community but in my mind i was like i'm looking for opportunity grateful i swear i'm like where
could we talk about basketball for hours out of the week. I'm 100% down for that, man.
Oh, and through these playoffs?
There's so much stuff to talk about, man.
You know, we have so many also crazy injuries, which is sad to see, right?
And Baron, yeah, it's true that best players are coming to NBA from Europe.
I don't know why is it happening, but no, no, no.
I'll stop here because...
No, no, the commissioner was just saying next year's All-Star game
might be the US versus the world.
So, I mean, you're not wrong.
Michael, how are you doing?
Good to be here. Thanks for letting me up.
I came up to talk about the sound thing,
but happy to just be here and listening to the show.
Love the topics. It's an exciting time to be alive.
The metaverse, the other side, a lot of things coming together on Ape Chain.
Just had a successful release of the next stage of my project,
the Vags, and now parts are live
and people are opening cores and stuff.
And yeah, things are great.
and hear about what else is being built.
I love to hear positive vibes.
if you have any questions, drop them into
the comments. I'll go through them. Also, guys,
here on stage, if you have any questions, raise
your hand and I'll give you
And I think it's time. Kev,
welcome here. Super happy to have you here.
Congrats on Mint out. How are you
Hey, can you hear me well? Yes,
I can. Perfect. Awesome. I'm glad I can. Jam, jam, man? Hey, can you hear me well? Yes, I can.
Yeah, I just bought new AirPods yesterday. My old AirPods always sucked on Spaces.
I was hoping these will be a bit better.
Excited to have the mint done, to be in the after phase, and to start pushing the brand forward and to jump on spaces again.
I've not done many spaces the last two, three weeks, I would say.
And so, yeah, super pumped to get out here, connect with y'all.
And yeah, just feeling grateful.
Man, did you also experience the blackout yesterday?
Because I think you are in Spain, right? Yeah, a little bit. Yeah, just feeling grateful. Man, did you also experience the blackout yesterday? Because I think you are in Spain, right?
I'm on the Canary Islands.
But like Orange, our phone providers were fully off.
But the electricity and everything worked.
But yeah, mainland was crazy.
Hopefully, well, we'll see if that happens again.
But I feel kind of like preparing
straight away. Your marketing campaign is
wild right? You are like against all odds
so you're like let's turn off the electricity
all odds in Spain and Portugal
some things are just when it's impossible
you know it's like but in general
like our campaign has been like against all odds all of the time but I's impossible. But in general, our campaign has been against us all of the time.
But I guess that's business in general as well.
So that's why I think the slogan is so good.
Man, I was part of the Mint.
Also, there were multiple phases.
I think the second one disappeared within like 30 seconds right so how
did you feel during that experience because yeah that's the question actually how did you feel
during that seeing uh you know second phase nfts disappeared then there was a public mint
also minting out so how did it feel after so much working on a collection?
Yeah, a bit of everything, I would say.
I was telling my partner yesterday, it's almost kind of like a blur,
because you're nervous, you're excited, you're pumped. I guess this is how probably boxers feel when they go into the ring.
You're like, you won, and then afterwards you're like, what the fuck happened?
Even though we're in full control, it's still kind of unreal.
You're working for years or months on the drop itself.
But it feels good. I'm super grateful and pumped.
It took me a couple of days to settle down and start feeling actually grateful.
Because the first moment, it's like, oh yeah, we're in a new phase.
And you build up to something so long.
And it's kind of like you've been climbing this mountain, you've been climbing, climbing, climbing.
And then it's like somebody just dropped you off at the bottom of the mountain again.
And you're like, oh, fuck. Oh yeah, okay, wait, there's another mountain here.
I need to start climbing again.
And then a couple days later, you're like,
I'm excited again about the mountain.
And just grateful to see all the support.
I'm happy it worked out the way we were planning it.
So much love just as well.
I think that I was expecting a bit more hate than thought,
even though there were some messages,
but generally 99% was just so much love and positivity.
And so, yeah, just grateful.
What's really interesting,
and I probably never seen anything like that before,
is that after minting your NFT,
there was your personal message after that, right?
Your video with your personal message.
And if you go to Growth Path,
which we talk about a little bit about later,
there are also videos from you
and from your team talking about.
So I probably haven't seen any projects doing that before.
So how did you come up with that idea?
Hey, yeah, okay. before so how did you come up with that idea hey yeah okay the mic button didn't work um yeah i used to um i used to have a marketing agency and it will do a lot of sales and it was kind of normal
that after you would close a deal you would just follow up straight away right it would send a video
uh you know i used to work with a lot of restaurants,
and so I would sometimes literally be in a restaurant,
close the deal, and then walk away,
and then I would make a video somewhere with my family,
and it would make it very personal because, you know,
I want people, in the end of the day,
I want people to bet on us as a team, right?
Because I can't promise the world within a day
or within a week, but give us a couple months' time,
and I'm sure that we can be creative and come up with some cool stuff.
So in the end of the day, if you make a bet on us,
like bet on us and our intention and our creativity
and who we are as people, because I know we're good people,
and we're generally trying to create something cool.
And so I just want to personalize that as much as we can.
Especially in a space where the moment you buy something,
most people are thinking instantly,
like, shall I sell it or buy it or hold it, right?
I think the buyer remorse is real, right?
Like, it still surprises me sometimes
that people spend weeks or months
and then just sell it for a $10 profit.
You're like, huh? What the hell? Interesting.
But yeah, I think generally we operate in a way where we're trying to think of every detail.
And so if you launch something, what are all the extra things that come with it and how can we work every angle and kind of try to
optimize the experience so that it's fun and it's exciting and engaging. And so, yeah.
Man, you passed me a ball for a slam dunk because back in 2021, Beast is not here, so I can say it, right?
Beast was flipping BYCs for like 0.01 profit you know so kev we could ask him uh why
was he doing that but oh ouch ouch yeah he was he was going from like actually paid
0.2 and he sold for 0.21 oh good move beast good move beast but yeah Good move, Beast. But yeah, absolutely crazy.
Tino, I don't know if I see you unmuted or not.
Go ahead, man, because I know you also are part of the community.
You also have a lot to ask. Yes, I have to admit, I haven't seen this either.
And when I did mint, I was lucky enough.
I'm never lucky for these things, but I was really lucky.
I actually did mint, I i think in all phases so like the first one uh being grateful were even uh the the among
the few lucky ones that were that that even got an extra uh token for being uh really really one
of the first uh 300 ones i believe uh but what i wanted to say is, the video, when I saw it, it just gave me a signal.
And now it really does make sense of the social proof and something like,
okay, there is somebody who puts his face behind this, who tells about his team and about
basically welcoming you to the community. And I think i saw people really being surprised about
this and it was an amazing step very small but uh for for the for for the outside world i think a
huge signal so congrats to that for sure but kevin what i wanted to say uh there are some people in
the audience who might not be familiar with final boss who. Maybe we jumped right in, so maybe it would be good
if you just gave us a really short introduction.
How long, what and exactly what have you been building
and what has happened lately?
So with Final Bossu, it's me and my two older brothers.
Really, since I was little, I saw them vlogging and shooting videos way before the internet days.
And so at some point we had a video production company, a graphic design company.
When I was 16, I quit high school, joined them in the business and we did a lot of client work.
And then we figured out that's not something that we want to do.
We split up, went to do our own businesses. And then about three and a half years ago web3 brought us back together and we're
like this is the space we want to build in and funny enough speaking about basketball i don't
know if i shared this last time we initially started doing client work and we did a four
art pieces for damian lillard we created him in dame. Oh bro we talk about it. Man we talk about it but he unfortunately I think he
ruptured his Achilles during the last game bro it's it's fucked up
so I'm not sure if yeah oh my god but yeah we talk about it that's crazy that's
crazy man. So yeah I'm not into NBA so we did that job. We did four art pieces, we got good paint.
It was awesome. Never got off the ground because people started hating artists that were entering Web3.
So in the end, they never got to launch it, sadly, because the artwork was freaking amazing.
We spent like three weeks or four weeks working on it.
I could share it. We should definitely share it sometime just to show the beauty of it, especially for all NBA fans.
But we came to a realization that there was, are we really going to do client work again?
Or are we going to build our own universe?
And that's something that we've always wanted to do, but always life got in the way.
And so this time we decided, fuck it, we're going to do it.
And so we initially started with the idea to make personal growth entertaining. And so we had this with four founders, me and my two brothers,
and John, who's the founder of, his name is NFTs or Bust,
he's the founder of Slings of DAO and Grow Your Base,
who's kind of the OGs in this space as well.
And he owned a lot of land in Sandbox, so we were like,
let's build this whole castle there, dojo, where people can play
and they can fight these ultimate villains, these final bosses.
And we put Elon Musk there on level one, and we put Gary Vee on level two, and you have to fight Gary Vee,
and he bought the jets, and Elon Musk is on his Tesla robot on Mars, you know, and he made it.
And now he's this ultimate villain, and then, yeah, eventually sandbox didn't take off,
and things didn't go the way we wanted to, so we pivoted.
And that was the moment where we were like, okay, what is it we want to do long-term?
And we really took our time to put down the fundamentals
of what today is the franchise of Final Boss
where we have all these main characters
Like we've done a lot of work already
and like script writing and stories.
And yeah, the vision really is fairly simple.
It's, we want to build the largest fan-powered franchise
where our community can co-own and build under the umbrella of...
And have mad respect to Bored Apes and everything they've been doing,
to Pudgy, you know, think that the media franchises are going to be disrupted
like the industry is ripe for disruption,
where consumers no longer just consume, but actually can build with their favorite brands
and also get rewarded and recognized for it.
And so, as much as we are focused on building a classic media franchise with exciting characters and world building,
at the same time, we're very much born of web3 brand where uh we want to build
a pie that's for all of us and and share it and and you know have hopefully in in 15 years from now
we can still see who those first those first holders were and they're still holding on and
we can reservate the most expensive restaurant on the world and have a have a great pie all together
restaurant on the world and have a great pie all together.
Love it, man. And anime is so popular, right?
It's such a popular genre. It's insane.
I didn't know before Azuki's, but when I read about Azuki and
about the market potential, it's really huge.
How do you think about it? There are multiple ways from
IRL to animation series to comic books, etc.
What is your way how to approach the broader audience?
Yeah, I think that there's kind of short midterm, longterm views on this.
Generally, we'd like to just create the best stuff ever.
The dreams of my brothers have always been to create their own movie.
Without making direct promises, if we would be able to create a show and release that,
it would have to be the best show ever created, or we won't release it.
So how long that will take, we'll see. release that, it would have to be the best show ever created or we won't release it.
Right. And so how long that will take, we'll see. But meanwhile, there's so many ways for us to expand this brand.
Obviously, social media is a massive part. Short form content is really great.
I think taking people with on a journey, building this franchise out, is the way to start winning.
But when I really think of media franchises in general
and learning about the licensing industry and how it functions,
it's almost like a video game where there's levels to this.
Maybe the bigger you get, the more you can get, essentially.
And I think it's kind of re-engineering.
Why would Nike or Adidas want to work with us?
And what's the path to it?
And once you're there, which doors open up then?
And I kind of see it as a building block towards those.
So I would say we're very open.
I think the final Basu franchise,
there's these growth paths on people's arms,
there's these final bosses, there's these growth paths on people's arms. There's these final bosses.
There's all these elements that are perfectly ripe
You know, let it be games, let it be books,
But personally, super excited about animation itself.
I don't know if you guys have all seen the trailer.
Exactly, I wanted to ask, bro.
you did you create it in-house or who made it because it's really cool it's really cool it's
a pinned tweet on final boss 2 uh account guys if you want to watch it yeah we um we actually
created it all in-house so um it has been one of our core focuses. Once we had the characters, we had a lot of world building,
we knew we needed to create some type of proof or proof of concept for Web3,
to showcase, like, guys, this is our vision.
But at the same time, being a scrappy studio or an indie studio
or indie company in general without having too much budget.
It's like, how do you create a trailer that's, you know, worth...
If you would hire a studio, you'll pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for this stuff.
So, like, how do we do this, right?
So, yeah, we just rolled up our sleeves and got to work.
Everything is creative directed by my oldest brother, Mustayaki.
You know, created all the animatics and a lot of sketches.
And then we've worked with maybe about 20 animators
from all over the world, people that have worked
on some of the biggest titles.
I was looking at the numbers the other day.
I literally reached out to over 500 animators
to get to the small group of 20
that eventually helped us create this thing.
So yeah, a lot of hard work, a lot of long nights,
but eventually we got this together.
We found it super important to keep the creative control
so that we could optimize every single shot and scene.
We knew early on, we want to show a universe,
but normally a trailer is created based on a show.
You have one season and then you cut out the trailer.
We're like, we don't have the season how do we still create this trailer and then yeah this is
this is the creative expression in the end um but this time you know we got a bit more budget
we got a bigger community so we can do it a lot bigger and better dope man that's 100 dope talking
about uh trailers i actually shared the the other side trailer yesterday.
It had to be so expensive.
Oh my God, it had to be so expensive.
But it's great. And your guys is also
Guys, there are 30 retweets.
so more people can join us we are having
amazing discussion with the boss
reveal mechanism because everyone's
excited about it and everyone's asking
about it how it's gonna work but I have
two more questions I'll ask
one and I know Tino has also many more
questions and then we get into it but
I have to ask you about during the mint something happened there and we got some because we were
early with Tino, we got some uh soulbound NFT probably, so what does that NFT do? What can we
expect from that? Yeah the 3-28, right?
So, yeah, something went wrong. I'm not going to blame Hans.
But it was our team, an internal mistake that was being made after testing a lot.
And about 328 people minted for free.
So we had to reverse the process.
We felt like it's a talking point.
Everybody was talking about it.
We were like, how can we signify this moment as something beautiful?
So I told my brother, I don't know how you're going to do it,
but can you spin something up tonight?
So I think you work till like four in the morning to create it.
And it's actually Sandy, who is one of our main characters,
who is the king of coders.
He has these screens in front of him while he types in the trailer.
You can see him jumping back and creating these weapons while he's fighting.
And so we're like, let's make Sandy the coder like he coded it.
And then there's some little Easter eggs in there that maybe not everybody saw, but like the 7-7.
There was like a meme joke on Abstract lately around 7-7 revenue.
And so we added that in there.
Yeah, there was something else. I can't remember what now.
But I guess, generally, the mindset for us is,
how do we track those that participate?
And so I think, personally, with all of these things,
some of the things we're working on is a dashboard for our holders to look into,
and there will be some type of point systems and things like that.
So how do we track those that are getting involved,
and how can we give badges out to take a moment of history there?
And so these badges are perfect for that.
And we can do a lot of fun things with it.
Maybe I think we should at some point do like a 328,
you know, merge drop and just give it to all the 328 people.
I think those kind of things will be pretty cool.
So you cannot transfer it from the wallet, right?
For the first time, probably.
I didn't even realize that I minted for free.
I'm like, yes, I have it. I was so pumped up and and then grateful goes like did you did something
leave your uh yeah i had no idea it was like zero i thought we paying after bro i thought we paying
for reveal or something like that exactly what i thought like i was automatically thinking like
when i claim i'm gonna be paying so it didn't really cross my mind and i'm like okay so that's
special that that felt really special so i think it's the it's what creativity is about so i think
this kind of mindset again uh it it shows me that that you're thinking ahead and think or even when
there is a there is a fuck up you know how to tweak it into into a success so so yeah i think that was that was pretty cool uh you you mentioned the
community before uh so uh because i think people have been excited about the project for a while
because you were active for the past few years uh so the the community building basically brick by
brick uh where do you mostly is it is it discord or how do you actually look at community?
What is community for you?
How do you plan to somehow include them in the lore, in the storytelling, etc.?
Yeah, right now our main group is definitely on Discord.
That's where people mostly communicate.
But I guess, you know, the larger question of community, it's... A couple days ago, I got a message of what I think is probably number two or something.
He bought like 80 or 70 bossus on secondary, and he texted me, and then we got on a call, and we jumped, and now I think he owns 130 of them.
But he's not so active in Discord, right? He's just collecting and he's a part of it.
So I guess, yeah, the community is definitely in Discord,
but I would say that it's also on Axe and on different places.
Not everybody is the same active as others,
but that's definitely where our basis lays.
And yeah, soon Telegram will open.
There's some cool things we're going to do there as well.
And yeah, in terms of. There are two parts.
We have our first collection on ETH, our Legacy Pass,
where basically we have about 150 or so people
that are hand-drawn as anime characters into that collection.
The idea is actually to use those characters as well in the IP
as we expand it and basically become the first franchise,
I think, at least so far,
that has their fans or their community members
actually being part of the franchise as characters.
So I think that's going to be pretty cool.
But in general, I see our holder base,
if I just purely look at the art and the characters,
like assets that we could source from.
I don't think licensing is going to be a big thing.
Yeah, you guys have pinned around Chimpers as well.
See, sir, Joey in the audience,
what is a good example of licensing.
And as we continue, obviously,
we'll do hopefully thousands of licensing deals
and look at sourcing from the community and the characters.
And so, yeah, whatever products we create,
I think there's going to be a lot of fun and cool ways to include them.
And also, that's why I think it's important to have a sort of tracking mechanism
or a leaderboard or some way of tracking those that provide most value.
Because if this would be a village,
those that provide most value should get rewarded most over others.
And there should be many different ways of tracking those.
Maybe it's wearing a PFP, maybe it's just collecting.
There's many ways of getting involved.
I think it's also very hard, tough uh uh to to to make it sustainable
long term uh to get the community involved and excited for such a long time so that's uh that's
something that uh that's definitely not easy and uh uh the involving the community in such a like
lore uh lore building and and everything that, I think that's the
And I really love the hand-wrote characters.
I didn't know about that.
Kevin, is there anything else that you would do differently maybe?
Like in terms of looking back now because the mint is over, you kind of, you are, you're
not finished because there is still a lot happening.
I think you're just beginning.
But is there something that, when looking back,
that you would tweak or change?
I haven't had proper time to do super reflecting sessions
actually after the review.
Next week, we're going to have some internal meetings
to assess everything and to do proper brainstorming.
I didn't mean to put you on phone.
There are always smaller things that I think we could have optimized it better.
Even the 3 to A, but at the same time, it happens.
You can't avoid some of these things.
I have to think about it for a proper answer.
I do think that one thing that's worth mentioning,
especially a lot of people in the community,
we're doubting these phases.
Why is there a slow phase?
There's only pre-sale, there's no whitelist.
I've always said that I understand it and resonate a lot with it
because the audience and the community doesn't have the data that we have.
I knew all along that I had a massive trailer in my back pocket.
Even after the pre-sales, people were like,
the public needs to come because you're losing momentum.
I knew once I hit on this button,
the space is going to freak out about the trailer.
We'll gain all the momentum. As long as I keep that
as my strong card right before Mint,
we'll rally up people again.
It's always tough to do this from this side,
but from our side, I'm very happy that we kind of minimized
the risk with doing the pre-sales and eventually creating
a lot of momentum going into the public sale.
And yeah, we had different decisions.
Like we initially wanted to go for a Dutch auction,
a bidding strategy, but eventually decided like, no, I want to maximize momentum. I initially wanted to go for a Dutch auction, a bidding strategy, but eventually decided,
no, I want to maximize momentum. I want this to go fast.
I want this to feel like a 2021 experience where we're all sitting ready
and we're all focused on this one moment.
I'm going to make it or not make it, that rush,
because I think that's what people will remember as well in a year from now.
You speak about other sites. I'm not placing myself, they were equal there, I think what they've done
absolutely incredible, but yeah, hopefully people will remember the final boss for Mint and the
experience. Man, you mentioned Chimpers and IP, right? They did an interesting collab with Kung
Foo Tea in the US, I think, and I think these collabs are awesome, right? To see the IP
in US, I think. And I think these
collabs are awesome, right? To see the
IP in different businesses
is great. So congrats to Chimpers.
Also the cards, I mentioned
it before. Oh my god, can't wait
Chimpers, that's a banger.
A couple things. What's up up thanks for having me i love um you know some of my favorite apes by far
having kevin on here to talk about final boss that's fire i wanted to ask kev are you in
at least one of your bros going to be in Lisbon. When is it? June? When is it Grateful? Is it June? I think it's usually June, right? NFC Lisbon.
We'll come out, yeah. I think I will be there. I will plan for it. Like what I said, the minting.
I don't know about this whole stage
but we'll all be together
I don't know if Grateful can surf
I'm not sure if it's pumping on June
I'm not sure if it's pumping on June
I was there in I think October November
it was pumping it was fun man was there in, I think, October, November.
So a lot of... Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Did you serve Nazare when it was pumping?
Billy Kemper, he gave up, actually.
And they tried to stop me.
But, man, it was like an earthquake.
I 100% recommend you guys if you are in in lisbon
and doing something there and you see that nazare is pumping go there because it reminded me 2021
nft blue market it was crazy you know the waves were insane i i want to go but i don't want to
i don't know i would probably be terrified just seeing it like
and imagining being out there because i know what it feels to be on like a
an eight foot wave is scary i can't imagine a 50 foot wave it's insane so we'll have some
also i thought it was hilarious for the guy who taught me about nfts not like we were friends or
anything but on instagram to say we were finally early. Like, dude, you were definitely early before you got the badge for minting for, I don't
know, eight cents or whatever it was.
And I'm actually getting ready to go surfing now.
I just made some toast and I'm going to go catch some waves or some swell in the water.
So I'm going to bounce in a few minutes, but I'll be on this until the moment that i slide my wetsuit on and stash my phone under my car seat and go to the
beach um but i wanted to ask kev like and i know that everyone you got so much support in web 3
but then when it comes to going beyond web 3 like i really liked what you said on the space one day
i thought that the contrast of like being the hottest NFT project, you know, while you're pre-ment and everyone's excited and, you know, one of the biggest on Abstract with all the support from Abstract.
Like I like the contrast of, you know, knowing that to you saying that you would be at like an anime expo or convention, like with your booth and trying to, I don't know what the goal is there, you know, trying to get people involved and spread awareness of the brand. So like, just kind of in regards to that, like, what do you think the biggest challenge is going to be?
And what are you looking forward to most?
Because I believe it was you that said that you were looking forward to that moment.
And those were things that you were going to love to do.
That's all just part of the grind.
from sort of the perspective that I come
when we were young they were already creating
and vlogging and I've always looked up to
and I always thought like man these guys are so amazing
initially I thought I didn't have any talents
until I grew older and I got over
my traumas and built some businesses and then figured out that I have my own skills.
But that looking up to them has never disappeared.
And so I would always say that I'm the number one fan of Final Basu by far. I think even literally there is deep-rooted trauma within me that gives me the love for
Final Basu because I grew up with two brothers that have created this brand. And I want to
give this frame because when I'm going to an anime convention, I can't wait to talk to people and to
show Final Basu. It's the easiest thing. It's like natural progress.
I'm just super excited about that, to be there, to actually start building up the brand.
It's not going to be an easy process. It will take time, as brand building does.
I grew my own brand before in a totally different niche, where I've built up an audience,
and I've had a Facebook group with a lot of people in there that different niche where, you know, I've built up an audience and I've had a Facebook group
with a lot of people in there that bought my courses
and I was doing consulting and I was one of those,
you know, internet marketer guys back then.
And so I know the grind it takes.
This is a whole different ballgame, right?
We're talking like anime franchise world domination stuff.
But yeah, no, I think it's those small steps and those unscalable things...
that onboarding in the beginning of fans one by one...
that ultimately is going to compound into a large audience.
And so, yeah, I think we need some good products for them...
so that they can consume it, that they can be excited about...
without them knowing it's NFTs.
I don't think they need to even know that. I don't see, you know, maybe the mindset of some is
that we need to bring some excellent liquidity in here, but I actually think that those people are not per se there to come and buy the NFTs.
I think in general, if you think of franchises, some people will be fans of the video games,
other people will watch a show.
But it doesn't mean they use all of the mediums.
And maybe eventually they're like,
I want to dip my toes into the game.
If you watch Pokemon, at some point your curiosity peaks like,
I want to play as it wants.
And then you try it out and you actually like it.
And I think that's similar for us.
I can see us building up different audiences on the different mediums, as it wants, and then you try it out and you actually like it. And I think that's similar for us.
I can see us building up different audiences
and maybe eventually they trickle down into the NFTs,
but I don't think that's the core purpose of that.
Well, what I do think that does is it gives confidence
to the NFT holder that we're actually doing stuff,
that we're actually building and expanding
and becoming better over time.
I think I've answered your question, but yeah.
Man, reaching out of Web3 is very interesting.
I think IRL, as you mentioned, is insane, right?
You've got to be there personally so you can share the journey and the story.
Sir Joey just shared uh or not just a few hours ago shared uh the social reach versus top
web3 brands and you see that pudgies uh they have over like 3.3 million chimpers are second with 1.5
million over the the social media uh like instagram t, right? How do you think about those,
man? And guys, stay tuned because we gotta get into the reveal and how that's gonna work.
But I'm so hyped to talk to founders about their approach, right? I think this is really
interesting because we all want our Web3 IP to get out, right? To get out into the nature, into the wild, into the Web2, right?
So how do you think about these media?
Because I can imagine that it's not easy to make so many views on Instagram and TikTok.
You probably need a whole team for that.
So how do you think of that?
Yeah, so I used to have a marketing agency and I've worked with probably thousands of restaurants and dentists from all over the world.
Not that that's exactly the same, but I used to run Facebook ads and Instagram advertisements.
And I had a whole team of people going to those places, shooting videos.
Well, initially I went always myself and edited it.
So I've done proper social media management and advertising for six, seven years.
I come from that world, and I'm super excited to apply this to the anime franchise.
I think, generally, there are many different ways that you could take with it.
I think that what Chimpers is doing is I think what Chimpers is doing is awesome.
I think what Pudgy is doing is awesome.
And I think those are ways.
I think we're going to have something completely new
that I think I haven't seen at all yet from the Web3 space.
And yeah, we'll get started with that fairly soon.
And so without giving too much away,
I think that the narrative that we are trying to shape here in Web3
is building the largest fan-powered franchise.
I think that same narrative we want to play in the anime space.
Because if... And you can go multiple routes, especially as an anime brand, right?
It depends as well on the type of brand that you have.
Because I think you could go a few different routes if you think about it.
Let's say we start up an Instagram brand and we create content.
Either we do these short, viral, maybe positive messages.
In anime style, the style that we're pursuing, it's quite hard.
One, it takes time, it's very expensive.
And so, it's not super feasible.
I think another thing to consider, what you could do is...
And I think that we're going to see a lot more of that...
as the industry progresses more towards short-form content.
What if somebody would actually create a full show in multiple videos?
So, let's say there's 10 videos that forms one episode,
but in short form content.
That could be a way of doing it.
But again, it takes time and effort.
And normally, if you look at whatever,
like Solo Leveling, one of the hottest anime brands lately,
if you look at their Instagram,
it's just showcasing what they already have.
And it's logical it works because they have millions of fans around the globe,
so they want to see some behind-the-scenes stuff.
So I think we need to look at this from a first-principled perspective
and think, okay, how can we get people involved in building this brand?
And I actually think that anime fans want to have more involvement,
but the opportunity just simply doesn't arise.
And so that's why I'm also excited about Abstract,
because we can build a platform there
for anime fans that people can log into
without them being on the blockchain,
but still getting different types of content pieces
Yeah, it's going to be an important one.
We'll start testing some things fairly soon
in the next two weeks or so
nice nice can't wait to see that
one more thing because if you are already a holder
you can actually join the growth bot right
and I don't know if everyone knows about it
so could you share about what's the idea behind it
how can people join and why people should do that?
The only thing is that in the end,
what will happen right after a reveal next week,
there is a badge that you can claim
that you can claim for a certain period of time only,
and you can only claim it if you have the NFT, right?
And so the idea for this platform
was really provide a simple after experience
And so I believe from tomorrow on,
it will be filled with notes
up until the end of Review
so that we can literally educate
different parts of the identities,
Yeah, really around all those
different things. And then in the the end there will be a badge to
claim that and that badge will will convert to a tour you know the
collector profile that's that's going to be released a little bit later
epic epic I already did that there are more messages right so you can learn
more about about you and what you're building,
which is dope, which is dope.
Damn, man, I have so many questions and people are like,
shit, we want to learn about a reveal, right?
Like we need to learn how it works.
Right, guys, give me a sign that you want to learn about it.
But I have one more question
and then we have to get into it.
Also, guys, if you have any more questions,
drop them into the comments.
I'll go through them. But i wanted to ask you because the for projects it's it's so hard to predict market right and
i love for example with bayc that you know i don't care much about the market anymore you
know i just enjoy the vibes with the community with activations now we have we are
waiting for other side etc but when you are bringing new project into the into life like
how how do market actually affect your decision making process about what you do or you are like
fuck it i don't care about market we are going anyway How do you think of that?
Well, I think you definitely need to anticipate, right?
And so things go up and down.
And so I think that's kind of unavoidable.
And kind of the mindset that I have is we're just going to keep building, shipping, and improving
I was speaking about this before as well.
It's like if you think of Kobe or...
I don't want to say the ones you're not a fan of,
but Michael Jordan or whatever.
The last time they went onto the basketball field,
and they're standing there today,
they want to be better than the last time.
And they just want to keep doing that every single time
until they're who they are and they're the best in the game.
And so I feel that's kind of similar for us.
Our first animation completely sucked three years ago.
If you see it, you laugh your ass off
compared to what we've created today.
And I just want to keep doing that and become better and better
for the sake of becoming better because I feel alive if I become better. If you know about the Tony Robbins...
How do you say it? The six human needs.
Growth is a big one for me personally.
I feel like as long as we just keep getting better,
keep hammering, keep executing, keep putting stuff out,
eventually once markets are going up,
and people need to place a bet somewhere,
you bet on the teams that you feel have the most chance of success and have been showing up all this time.
I think your question was around the market, if that affect us, I would say not really.
Because if it goes up or down, it's unstoppable.
The number one asset digitally, Bitcoin, is going up and down.
If that keeps going up and down, then every asset will.
There's no stopping that.
But I just think that every time that you execute,
the consciousness, the belief of the community is growing.
And the more trust you build, eventually, that will compound.
And I'm just fully convinced if you keep doing that at some point,
there's a tipping point that says, okay, now price is going to go up exponentially.
And we've seen it happening in the space.
Love mentioning Kobe and MJ and getting better every day step by step
because I think that's a way for project founders, for content creators,
for everyone in Web3 because some days are rough as hell here in this space, right?
We've experienced so many things
and I actually wrote a few tweets recently
about giving up and it's so easy to give up, right?
Like you just turn off this app, delete it,
you leave the space and you start something new, right?
But there's that circle and you leave the space and you start something new, right? But there, there's that circle and
you, you, you become the forever, um, beginner, right? Because you, you always start something,
get to the point when it starts to, uh, get hard and you, you quit. Right. So, um, I always say
like a lot of people told me, oh man, I want to have an amazing newsletter. And they wrote like five emails and they quit.
And I'm always happy when I get email from Tino.
Whenever I get a newsletter from you, Tino, I'm like, even without reading it, my first
feeling is like, holy shit, that MFR is not quitting.
So always makes me happy whenever I see it in my inbox.
We are getting into the reveal phase.
Mentioning MJ, I will play very short clip.
Guys, meanwhile, drop questions in the comments,
retweet the space, and we're gonna get into the reveal,
But man, I have to play this clip because this clip is golden and it's not only for basketball fans, it's for everyone.
Maybe I led you to believe it was easy when it wasn't.
Maybe I made you think my highlights started at the free throw line and not in the gym.
Maybe I made you think that every shot I took was a game winner.
That my game was built on flash and not fire.
Maybe it's my fault that you didn't see that failure gave me strength.
That my pain was my motivation.
Maybe I led you to believe that basketball was a God-given gift
and not something I worked for
every single day of my life.
Maybe I destroyed the game.
Or maybe you're just making excuses
Become legendary guys. I absolutely love this ad. It's it's nuts. It's crazy
It's so on point and I see Laker in the audience
Laker if you have a LeBron phone number, maybe
You can DM him. Oh, shit.
It's going to cause heat in my DMs now.
I'm sorry, guys. I'm still Lakers fan.
Kev, that was an amazing clip. And I actually
think that it so applies to
A couple days ago, I don't know if you guys are in the
Discord, but in the Discord,
I initially said that a review will be in April. Certain things happened, and we had to delay a couple of days.
Not to shit on anybody, but some words shouted at me.
You liar, you scammer, you asshole, you're a fucker, blah, blah, blah.
Even though I emphasize with it because you're excited, you scammer, you asshole, you're a fucker, blah, blah, blah. Even though I emphasize with it because you're excited, you're waiting,
and as well, you just want to get to this next phase.
I said something and I didn't stick to it.
But what's interesting is that the reason we move it is because we think the results will be better in all directions.
Because of the activations that are coming, of all the different elements, of all the data.
I need the group to trust us that we make the right decision for those people.
But when I was listening to your clip right now, it kind of reminded me of that.
Like, guys, nothing is going to be perfect.
There is a probability we're going to fail.
Everybody understands that, right?
Business building is like eating glass.
It's really, really difficult.
Most just go out of business.
I don't say, we're aiming for that.
We're going to do our best to make this a massive success.
So we'll do everything under a power my airports are empty
But Kev I I 100% agree and I think we are sometimes or people in general are like of course super sensitive
When something is going different way, but it's so important is to keep. And it doesn't matter if it's in sports, business, you know, LA, for example, they are down 3-1,
But they might turn it, like they can win the series, right?
It's not over until they lose the game, right?
So it's not over until you quit or you go bankrupt or something like that.
And we've seen so many fuck-ups.
And to be honest, even if other side goes delayed a little bit
and the persistent world will launch July,
I'd be like, damn, I really wanted to join in June.
But even if I won't, I'd still be probably good
because there's got to be
some reason why it happens.
Also, when I look at the dates,
I thought it's in US format, so I
thought it's going to be revealed in
May, June, July, August, September.
So we're going to see our NFfts in september wow that's wild
so that was funny that was funny actually tino was laughing so hard but so how that works man
they are like uh i don't even know how to pronounce those um parts right Moodjeans Kodakas so what was the thought process
behind it how it's gonna work I know the reveals starting May 5th right so so
what can we expect man yeah so every month I'm kidding but wasn't it like year, bro? Like 2025, 2026?
That would be really, that would be kind of lame.
So Monday till Friday, the 5th of May,
five days in a row, there will be different reviews.
And yeah, one, we just thought it would be fun,
you know, to do something different.
But as well, like from the ID perspective,
so when we created our world building, we, you know, in Final Busku, there's the Kusuma City.
That's the main capital of the world, right?
And within this city, there's different groups of people that live there.
So the Mujin, the Kodakas, the Kaiju-kan, and the citizens, they live within the city.
And they all have their own respective roles.
For example, the Kaiju-Kons are those that are seen as the heroes.
They're more of the government officials,
so they express more authoritative behavior.
You can see, for example, the last post we did,
I think like a couple of hours ago, that's the Kaiju-Kon.
And so their clothes are usually a bit more red.
It's thematic, right? And that's the same usually a bit more red or, you know, it's thematic, right?
And that's the same for those others, the coders, the codicas, who are the coders,
and the underground people, they're a bit more black type of clothing.
And so each of them has different thematics.
I would even argue that we almost created five different collections blend into one, right?
And so we wanted to make sure that we would tell that story and highlight each
identity as we roll out. And so, from a collector perspective, you would see those different groups
unfolding. For example, the Mujin, the first ones, are actually based on a lot of, you know,
as much as we wrote this for like the anime side and the world and the universe, we also tried to look a lot at collectors in the space.
And if you look at the average P of P's in the space,
they're usually a bit more clean, right?
And so that's why the Mujins came around.
We wanted to have one group of people that in this world,
they, you know, in this universe, if you die, you lose parts of your memory.
And then if you die too many times, you get completely wiped out of your memory
and you have to start blank.
That's what's happening in this world.
So Mujins, at first they were called NPCs, so we changed the name later
because NPCs might have a negative feeling to it.
And so we call them Mujins.
And Mujins are those that like to start from a blank slate.
Their clothing is a bit more blank, it's a bit more clean.
They don't have a lot around them, etc.
So that's a bit more blank, right? It's a bit more clean. They don't have a lot around them, etc. So that's a bit of the thought process.
And I thought, you know, this is actually a funny insider,
is that, you know, if people were waiting on the review,
and I know it took, you know, a couple weeks' time,
I thought, what if we put the final bosses as last, right?
This will, one, create a really fun dynamic,
because, you know, obviously there will
be, you know, only an X amount of unrevealed and the final boss is going to be in there, you know,
could trigger the D-gens. But also it will literally cause everybody inside going like,
I don't want to reveal yet, right? But everybody wants it to reveal so bad. So I thought that would
be kind of ironic at the same time. And so, but maybe one thing that is important to note is some people think it goes
from uncommon to most rare. That's not the case. Just the final bosses are one of ones. But in each
ID, so the Mujin, the Kaiju-kan, there are specials within each identity. So each
the Mujin's have their own specials and a mixture of specials will also be in the others.
And then Kaiju-kan have their specials. And so, you know, all of them have rarity built within each ID.
And one example is, for example, the Kaiju-Kan,
like the heroes or the government officials.
There's a ranking system even in it.
You have, like in an army, right?
You have the leaders, the generals, the commanders,
and you have those as well within the Kaiju-Kan.
And then every group has his own sort of ranking system built within as well right and man do i have to in them i hear
such a crazy echo right now i don't know what's what's happening if it's some voice changer or
what's going on here but do you have to initiate the reveal or uh if my NFT reveals on 5th, it means that I got the Mujins?
No, so review is automatically.
There's no manual requirement.
So each day they would reveal.
But we thought, you know, seeing that on Magic Eden might be a bit lame.
And so we've actually built a custom website experience.
Shout out to the devs. Where, you, where on the 5th you can log in and it will show you on the 5th which,
so you will be able to see the unreviewed, let's say you have five or two or twenty or whatever
you have in your wallet, you can see all your unreviewed and then it will show on day one,
if you have five Mujins, it will show you've got five Mujins. You can watch them within the dashboard and then on day two, day three,
you know, they will be separated.
So you get a good clear view on what you have collected.
You know, maybe you have two Mujins and you have two Kaiju-kans
and there's different rarities there.
So yeah, it's going to be a fun experience.
That's very cool, actually.
As I said, like, this is my only, these are my only NFTs that I have on abstract.
So I'm looking forward to revealing my on the 9th of May.
Super excited for that in the last group.
But it was surprising for me that it's not, it's not basically that the first are most common, etc.
That there are actually rarities inside each of the groups.
I really think that's that's
pretty smart and i think it's gonna uh create some kind of uh uh dj vibes to it for sure i'm i'm pretty
sure about that uh so uh you mentioned the website and uh and that's uh and you mentioned the path
uh what what should people be doing? So you just go there,
you just look at your NFTs,
or is it somehow connected to the path,
or it has nothing to do with it?
No, they have nothing to do with each other.
onboarding educational system
with the batch in the end.
definitely go and claim that.
this will be a separate one.
It's literally just to showcase
the nfts as a fun as a fun way but we will keep that online so even in the future right like
down the line even if you start collecting more you always have a separate view of those
identities within that platform as a as a nice overview and you will be able to see
Yeah, nice overview and you will be able to see, you know, some of the metadata there and the rarities and things like that.
you know some of the metadata there and the rarities and things like that
Awesome. Luke, I see your hand. Go ahead.
Yo, thank you. I'm leaving my house in T-minus a minute.
I wanted to ask, so the one of ones, those are final bosses, right?
That have came out of someone when they are at the point where they're like going against their final boss yeah that's correct yes so
for each of those five final bosses final bosses you know the one-on-ones in
the collection is there another character in the collection that that
final boss came from uh not really connected in a way. No, it's a good one actually.
I feel like I want to know more about the lore.
but I feel like there are holes and pieces in my understanding
Kev, if people are not holders
and they are thinking about buying
yeah, sounds like a good button
I like that answer buy now yeah sounds like a good button
yeah i like that answer um i mean yeah yeah at the end of the day it's everybody's choice if you think the franchise is cool you want to be a part of it uh you know i would i would go and purchase
it's really up to you you know there's some uh some bigger wheels that i've had conversation with
that some of them want to buy in after review
some of them are buying pre-review so i guess it's really depending on your intent right so you don't
know what you're going to reveal might be something super epic rare might be one of ones might be mid
rare there's many different directions it could go to um but after review you you can look at it
and you can literally go like i like this hairstyle like this hairstyle or like, you know, this idea.
And so there's going to be a lot of variety in the collection.
I minted my ape, basically.
So that was such a luck that this ape turned into the elite background color.
Aquamarine is the elite color in the BYC collection, right?
I see NFT Drew, Hunter, who else is here?
I probably would have to buy it anyway on secondary,
which I did, but it was such a luck.
So I'm really grateful for that and I love it, right?
The randomness, the luck, et etc. So yeah, I can't
wait. I really hope I will get into the final day and I will get the final boss, right?
That's the goal, final boss. That's the plan. That's the plan here.
Let's go. Yeah, I think they're pretty cool. They're definitely rare. And it's kind of interesting because these final bosses haven't been created that long ago.
It's actually some feedback that we got from the community.
Like people kept on asking, like, are the final bosses in it?
Are the final bosses in it?
And at some point it was asked so much, I was like to the team,
I think we should throw some final bosses in it because everybody's waiting for it.
And so, yeah, we kind we kind of you know so that's
what i love so much about web3 um because people are literally asking for it and in the end this
is what spiraled into a whole new experience right that you couldn't even like comprehend
up front and so i think that's that's really epic hell yeah the name of the space is also what is next after the reveal. So do you want to share in franchise that is expandable, that's licensable, that is seen across different mediums, that has a larger audience.
And at the same time, building a fan-powered franchise, what means that we generally want to involve the fans from beginning to end.
And I don't just mean Web3, where it all starts, where I think it's sort of the highest level entry
into the whole ecosystem.
But as well, it will be amazing if we could keep involving even the fans
that just log in with a Google account and will vote on some different manga panels
So I think that's kind of the North Star, but obviously there's short,
mid-term, long-term goals.
I would say that directly, right after Mint, there's two major things long-term goals. I would say that directly right after Mint,
there's two major things that I really wanna tackle.
One is, you know, licensing and community ownership.
So how do we provide, you know,
ownership towards our community so that they,
you know, feel essential ownership over their own characters.
So there's a licensing platform working on
that we're looking to release where, you know So there's a licensing platform working on that we're looking
to release where there's your own licensing but as well ways to earn more licensing. So that's
going to be interesting. I think it's something that's going to be new. The space hasn't seen
this yet and so I'm excited to release that. And the second thing is tipping our toes into IP
expansion. And so there's already a bunch of different licensing deals going on,
with Chimpers, for example, right?
As you posted this one and so Joey has started to tease,
there's some moves we're going to make on Telegram,
Instagram is going to be opened and launched.
And so, yeah, we want to start moving into that direction and start expanding.
And yeah, starting to look at different partnerships, deals.
And as well on the community side, there's a couple of really cool things that we're working on.
We're having like a collab going with one of our holders, who's been a holder for a very long time,
who has his own clothing brand, right?
And he wanted to do a drop with the final boss of franchise so he's actually creating the first community created drop with the against all odds
on it and so for anybody who's looking to pick some up it will be very limited and you know we'll
do some uh some announcements around it later i believe final boss is going to purchase the first
50 for him uh so he has his starting point there to support him
and to show that we want to
work together with our community
hopefully some things to look forward to
focused on building the rest out
and one of the questions was uh where do you see final
bossu in a year from now and how do you plan on rewarding holders of your nft how will you provide
value so i think you kind of uh answer that one um you know uh of course planning uh for a year
or a few more years ahead is it's uh it might Web3, right? As you mentioned, the North Star
is probably the best way how to approach that
because this market is changing so much.
You also mentioned the sandbox, right?
Do you have any plans for any of those metaverses
whether it's on Somnia network or other side
uh any activations there uh i'd love to get onto other side that for sure like i've been a holder
since the beginning as well i absolutely love everything they do i think that's a great
potential um no direct things that i would say we're exploring some stuff in roblox
um that i'm really excited about i think that's a great way for IP expansion.
But yeah, that's it for now.
But other side, definitely a very interesting one
I think that's going to be really cool.
Also been a long, long time part of GNI.
I don't know if probably you guys will know him
since you've been a long time in the space,
but notice like this year he hasn't been been as he was i would say back in
the days but i know he's probably the largest holder one of the largest and always followed
his journey uh journey there so um yeah and one more question that i see in the comments is is
there going to be a game or staking from the NFT? Not directly.
There will be some soft staking mechanisms.
Once we release some of the platform parts
that will be there. Gaming
is definitely an interesting one.
There are so many things we're exploring.
For example, Telegram, I think,
and it's a whole topic of discussion, I think, is set to take off very soon.
It's a very interesting opportunity for anybody that hasn't dived into Telegram yet.
The stickers are popping off, there's mini games that are starting to pop up there.
And I think it's going to make some big moves, very big moves this year. And so that is there, but yeah, I think gaming
is definitely a big beast to tackle.
Yeah, 100%, man. I think gaming has,
especially Web3 Gaming, that you own the assets,
and we all learned the word, right?
Interoperability, that you can bring maybe assets from abstract to other
chains, right? Etc. So it can be really interesting.
And the platforms are being developed now as we talk here.
So it's going to be really, I think 2025
will be insane because what we wished for in 2021,
the tech was not there it wasn't ready
like we have to be honest but now the tech and especially ai it's a game changer uh i think for
founders it has to be such a helpful tool right so really really bullish about what's happening
in the space and and what you guys cooking. Tino, any questions from your side?
Anything that you would like to add?
I think I'm pretty happy what I heard. I pinned on top the cards that were teased by Sir Joey from the Chimpers.
We are huge fans of Chimpers since a long time ago.
And Kevin, I really like the mention of the other side
because we would love to see Final Boss on the other side.
We are preparing to make our home there for ourselves and also being part of the community that you are building.
It would be, I think it's very fitting.
So definitely happy to hear that.
Is there something else, Kevin, that we forgot to ask you?
Some alpha that you would love to share and couldn't so far?
Some crazy giveaway, like a hundred... I don't know.
Any holder can come to my house and stay here for a week.
I mean, in general, I think the best alpha is, you know, come and participate with us.
We're going to do something fun.
I mean, we've got a long road ahead.
We made some first good steps, but the work is not done.
I'm excited about Abstract.
I think Abstract is starting to show the first signs of expanding it towards the next level.
And so I think I'm happy we're here at this time, at the position we're in. of expanding it towards the next level.
And so I think I'm happy we're here at this time,
at the position we're in, ready to grow together with Abstract.
As Abstract grows, we grow and we kind of have this give and take relationship with each other.
And yeah, just excited about that.
I do think that I saw you pinning the Chimpers cards in the top.
I think we're starting to release some more info on that soon.
I see Sir Joey in the audience.
Super excited about that.
Absolutely love the Chimpers team.
Met them multiple times in NFT Paris as well.
You know, some of the OGs in the space as well that have been here a long time.
Also, so much attention for detail, and I really appreciate that.
It was, yeah, super happy once we started talking about this drop together.
I think it's going to be beautiful as well for Final Boss to showcase the franchise,
because besides having main characters that I think that makes us quite unique,
we also have all these different elements, right?
Like the growth path and the final bosses and so
you know what if the chimpers world and the final boss who world are being mixed
up into each other right so yeah I love working with creative people and so it's
yeah it's gonna be super awesome to to get this this one out
hell yeah final bossu and chimpers in the dojo i can imagine that 100 percent uh i also brought
hunter here i i talk about elite background so um yeah that's that's like a b.i.p. part here on
stage uh hunter welcome here do you have any questions for kev yeah thanks grateful gmgm everyone uh just wanted to come up you know i i just minted my first
well grabbed my first abstract uh nft it's something you may have heard of final bossu
uh just grabbed the floor joined for the first time so really hyped let's go um yeah hell yeah
kevin you know part of it was i mean i've been looking at it but it's mainly been
uh this conversation of course you know grateful for the show aqua is making difference you know
don't want to say too much on that but uh um yeah thanks for having me up and i'm i'm hyped to join
the uh community let's go appreciate you man if you ever want to hop on a call, happy to connect, man. Appreciate you.
Let's go, Hunter. Do you have any questions?
No questions, I don't think. No.
I mean, my birthday is this weekend,
so I'm thinking the reveal is going to be a couple days after it.
Little birthday present myself.
Loved it. Loved it. That's amazing, man.
I also love giving myself NFTs, but
I wanted to do it only for my
birthday, and it shows that
I've been doing that for every day.
Buying NFTs is special always.
Yeah, Aqua is elite. Guys,
Shiba, do you have any questions for Kev?
Yeah, I've been here for some days.
I wanted to come support you.
And then I had all the questions for this project because I've been seeing it and people have been telling me about it.
And I want to know when reveal was.
So I've been soaking it all in and I've gotten 99.9% of them.
So I also thought about grabbing one off the floor
If it goes down 0.04 after reveal,
I'll just go get another one just to have two.
So I might do that strategy
or I might just wait until everything's revealed
and go grab one that I really like
and then grab one, you know, another one.
So, but it was nice to actually meet the people behind the project.
And yeah, excited for your reveal.
That's really cool how you're doing it.
So for me, if I was, I had a few of them and be like, okay, the first few days it didn't reveal.
That means I have a good one.
And then the last day you're waiting for the reveal and you're like, oh shit, I have a good one.
So that's like a cool way to do it.
It actually creates a lot more excitement for the people that minted. So super super dope i like how you did it thank you i appreciate that yeah that was exactly your
thought it's like you survived the first day you're like okay second day like okay and then
after the four day you're like oh shit it might really be in there and then yeah you either get
disappointed or you're like uh being happy so honestly, by the second day, I'd already be happy enough.
I even get like something above floor price.
So on the third day, I'd be like, shit, I'm rich.
I think the funniest part is that people have been begging like, when reveal, when reveal.
And now the most people are begging like, please do not reveal mine yet.
Like, honestly, it's where, you know, it's where the thought started from.
So that's the funniest part of all.
And there's another activation that I literally just got a message of that's confirmed, that I'm super excited about.
And that's going to be really big for us.
Give us a tease that we can make a guess off of.
Because that was really over-ended.
Grateful, play the alpha sound!
This is like a thing that if I say it, it's lame.
But if it happens, everybody's like, oh, that's awesome.
So, you know, maybe I should lower expectations just to know when this happens.
It's like, oh, this is really awesome.
But I think for us as a brand in Web3, it will be big for us as a brand to solidify ourselves.
Well, yo, like I said, I'm super stoked that you guys had Kev on here.
And there's a little bit of abstract infiltration into the Grateful Show.
Kev, I'm going to go catch waves for you.
I hope that you get some time to catch waves amidst all your busyness. You know, you got to do it. Take your bros out and do one for the team. I actually, funny enough, bought a GoPro like a year and a half ago and I told my girlfriend I want to do this
side project to start vlogging and surfing and I've never used it till
today so it's always like that bro I always buy camera gear and then I
forget about it enjoy your waves, Luke.
See you in Nazaré in October.
Before we're going to Vegas, right?
It's got to be right from one gamble in Nazaré
to another gamble in Vegas.
And yeah, guys, anyone, any more questions for Kevin?
If yes, unmute and go ahead.
One thing, if it's okay, I see a question from S,
and he, she is still in the audience.
I thought every character was supposed to have a final boss
instead of them that they're struggling against.
Very confused because you said some lost total memory,
some partial, but they have no final final boss why are they losing memory so yeah so the story is
this right every person has a growth path on their arm right and that doesn't mean in the collection
every single one has them these growth paths are are a bit more into the rarity but in the universe
of final boss so everybody has one right so if it's shown or not on the arm on the NFT,
And when you learn or you grow,
there's these nodes that are closing.
And once it reaches the top, it summons the final boss.
And every single one in this universe
has a final boss inside of them.
It's their ultimate challenge.
And so that's kind of the reference to its life
where we all have our own final bosses to defeat
and we're learning and growing until we're ready to challenge them.
But if you die within this world, you're being respawned.
You know, you wake up outside of Kashuma City
in the machine called Matora and it will spit you out
and then you have to take the Respawn Express back to the city
where you'll be brought back.
The thing is that when you die, depending on how you died and how many times you died, you start losing parts of your memory.
And so that kind of resets your brain and it resets your growth path back to zero.
And so for some people, they have died maybe through a final boss encounter and they wake up completely memoryless.
They don't know anymore who they are, where they're from, and they have to start back from zero.
Again, completing their growth path until the final boss,
and again, going through hell of not being able to defeat it,
because we've never been able to defeat these final bosses.
We still have to figure out how to do that.
Luckily, we have suitcases to fight back.
These were left behind by the Basu legacy,
and the suitcases and hunts are special abilities.cases and Hunzer special abilities, everybody has a suitcase.
Or not everybody has a suitcase, but the ones that have it will have a special power from it.
And so that's also part of the rarity levels in the collection.
And so, yeah, when you asked about the memory, everybody does have a final boss.
But some people just don't have more memory because they've probably died too many times or the cause of that.
And they need to start from scratch. have more memory because they've probably died too many times or the cause of that and they they
they need to start from scratch i hope that that clarified um yeah a bit of the lore and the the
world building amazing i didn't know that to be honest so uh glad to to to hear what you said man
love it tino you are unmuted go ahead man i just what came to my mind is
i a few years ago i joined uh wim hof the the famous iceman uh for a workshop and and he told
me he was like man don't forget to die at least once a day it's the best So that reminded me of that. I love it.
I'm Dutch actually, right?
So we know him very well.
I've been following him for a while.
I actually take very often cold showers because of him.
If you die at least once a day, even if you take an ice-cold shower first thing in the morning,
or you have a heavy training or workout,
the rest of life is definitely a lot easier afterwards.
I keep saying that it's funny because your brain,
actually, when you enter the really, really freezing water,
your brain does think you are dying.
So it kind of saves the main main organs heart and lungs etc so it
brings the the warm blood from your feet and and from your fingers uh directly to the uh to the
heart and it's really funny because when you do this first thing in the morning and then uh when
you're sitting in the office and something like really bad happens and and your brain reacts to it like bro i died this morning what the fuck you're talking about so that's my favorite part as
well so your advice you know is uh do a call char before you start minting if you are nft founder
i think that uh that that kept me alive i guess since 2017 in crypto. Love that, man.
I think we got an alpha at the end of the show.
But, man, absolutely love today's episode.
We talk about a lot of stuff.
You know, everyone was excited about a reveal, how that's going to work.
If you joined the episode just now, go back and listen to recording.
We gotta be there revealing.
I really hope for that September, Kev.
I hope that my NFT will reveal in September.
And I will have that final boss.
No, it's not September, guys.
It's the ninth, right? It's not
September so absolutely dope anything else you would like to share before we wrap it up with our most favorite
Favorite song he got a game by public enemy. I appreciate y'all
Super excited happy to you know to keep coming back here once in a while
Actually, I reached out to Grateful probably a couple months ago because of his chocolate brand that I was super impressed with.
It's what I've loved to see.
You're one of the people that have inspired me as well to change a lot,
even from within the community and the way we look at licensing.
I'm, yeah, just excited to
connect more. And, yeah, for
anybody that's involved with Final Boss, who appreciate
road ahead is going to be
know, filled with hopefully some surprises.
Thanks. Appreciate y'all.
man, for joining. Good luck.
what's going to happen. It will be
fun. I can't imagine that.
Against all odds, guys. It was
