Thank you. Half awake or I'm half dead
So I barricade myself inside
And pass the time to judgment day
And I pray that you remember me
Your silver tongue, your heart turns down.
Wait until infinity, I turn the cheek, I'd be reborn for a chance to simply talk to you
Afraid I sound hysterical
Nowhere out some love we've gone to bed.
Tired of winds are waiting, patient as a moment, I just need some motivation.
Staring at a candle, shivering in darkness, I just need some motivation angels dancing all in black hear their voices
crying out saying it in a whisper praying for a signal I just need some motivation.
Keep the wolves at bay tonight Those hungry beasts, those harmful friends I try to keep my spirits up through
Take off in and seek off with
Off me a second dressed, I can't I'm just as soon drunk and done
Tired, always awake, patient as the moment
I just need some motivation
Staring at a candle Shivering in the darkness
I just need some motivation. Drop down there, the purple pill. Give me a like, a follow, a retweet. Let's get this room filled out.
We're going to go for another minute on this one.
Then we'll do a little come along with Nippy.
And we'll get this room filled in.
Appreciate you guys for being here. Thank you. Yeah. We'll be right back. I love it, man. Nippy. Well, take it from me. And this little steady body paint, little kitty.
Yeah, Nippy's the magnet for mischief and havoc.
This kitty's who's habit for snacking the savage.
For trouble, she's mad at the talent.
She got it so massive for breaking.
It's passion and taste to go smacking and whacking.
So if you don't see her snacking or reading or laughing or singing or dancing,
then she probably napping.
Turn it up and sing it with me.
Come along with Nippy. Come, come, come along with Nippy, come, come, come along with Nippy.
Feel along with Nippy in a favorite book, sing along with Nippy in your baddest look, play along with Nippy in the cozy look.
One thing to establish, ability to balance, the things that shield damage.
On the head, shield, manage a race once lavish.
I play grill with salmon.
On plans, I'm trapped in the fine in the attic.
It's Nippy who's crafted.
A crew that's expansive, 5,000 plus cats and friends with a mouse and some rabbits.
So believe me when I say Nippy's the kiddiest who's happy to be.
Come along with Nippy. Come, come, come along with Nippy. Come along with Nippy. and me. Listen, I'm glad that we had this chat. Just despite the crash and the split splat, she's just a kitty learning to become a cat.
And hey, there's nothing wrong with that.
Alright, fam, it's Friday.
We're in the Friendsville Town Square.
Did you guys see that announcement? Let me find it.
I've been listening to these songs for like the last
five minutes. I probably should have found
the teaser announcement that Steve
A little search and find game.
We heard a little bit about it last week.
A little bit more information. So we'll talk a little bit about it last week. Got a little bit more information.
So we'll talk a little bit about that.
Talk about what these games kind of really, you know, could potentially mean.
Love to have some people up on stage or down in the comments kind of trying to figure out how do these games all fit in, right?
How does it affect the entertainment app, the ecosystem,
potentially some oversight from the We Are Friends Foundation? I don't know. affect the entertainment app, the ecosystem, potentially
some oversight from the We Are Friends
Foundation. I don't know.
you know, kind of things I've picked up from
talking to Steve, being around the Discord.
discuss that with some of you guys, and then
you know, let's just hang out, right?
I mean, it's been a crazy
week. Traditional markets
Maybe some of the stuff we've been building
that will have utility for tokens
Being builders here and being in this space
all that out, you know, work for us.
So apologize for starting the space a couple minutes late.
I had two kids, did not want to go to bed.
I'm going to try to get my co-hosts in here and hang out with them a little bit.
But I encourage you guys to come on up.
Perfect night to hang out, chat.
And would love to talk to you guys about it.
So I said I was going to find this post.
I think it was on Steve's account.
It came from the Meet Nippy account one day
teaser was last week. This week was
Not the Rufus account. From the
and Android. It's on the way.
spectacles I guess you would call them little detective hat Looks like Rufus has got a disguise. He's got a mustache. Glasses.
Spectacles, I guess you would call them.
Don't know what he's doing with that book.
Don't know what's in that book.
Maybe just a collection of his memoirs.
We don't really know much about Rufus, right?
What he does, like why he does it, how he does it, where he does it.
So we're going to find out.
But based on that and the teaser that we got last week,
you know, it looked like there was kind of one of those,
I don't know if you guys have ever been in one of those bars where they have
magic hunt. I used to play a lot of magic hunt. It looked like there was kind of one of those... I don't know if you guys have ever been in one of those bars where they have Magic Hunt.
Sounds funny when I say that in the headphones.
Sounds like I'm trying to say something naughty.
I'm not. It's just Magic Hunt.
you have two images side by side, right?
And there's five things that are different.
And some of them are really easy to spot, and some of them are harder.
And the further you go into the game,
the harder they are to find.
It's a great game to play with your friends while you're drinking.
if you're like in one of these like local hole-in-the-wall bars,
like I used to be in my hometown down in Stanford, Connecticut,
a little pizza place called Colony Grill.
If you're ever in Stanford, Connecticut,
go and get yourself a pizza.
They are like the original bar pizzas. Anyway,
grew up hanging out there until they had one of these
things. It was really pretty important
to get your name on the top of that screen.
pints. They had these little tiny
beer. They were actually glass
but you would get a pitcher
and then the glass was like a morning juice glass
you were just constantly drinking it and refilling it
on how much beer you would drink
sometimes you would fill it when it was much beer you would drink because, you know,
you sometimes you would fill it when it was empty.
you would fill it when you still had like half of it left.
Just didn't make any sense.
the pitchers just going down,
just putting another one in front of you.
12 pitchers. Like, how did I drink three pitchers of beer but that's not what you're talking about tonight we're talking about
rufus recon um and how do you earn right so there was a little chit chat in the server too right
um a little chit chat in the server i remember exactly where it was but um
that you could earn friends for playing this so i don't know if there's going to be a leaderboard
i don't know if um it'll be a competition and you wager kind of like cat mouse cheese go, but,
you can kind of like put your kids on it and they can earn.
Maybe just play yourself.
Just pretend you're a kid to earn.
So that's cool mechanism.
And all this is backed on chain,
we've got all these games.
right? We're working on that.
I don't know. It's just kind of fun.
It's been fun the last couple weeks.
I know all this stuff feels like it's
We've been getting announcements. The announcement is the announcement.
We've had some tests, some beta.
feels like it's really close.
One of these is going to get pushed and then five of them.
And then we're going to just
have no time on our hands.
We're just going to be playing Flash games
and turning the thing over to our kids.
How do we as a community take advantage of all the IP that we're going to have, not just in our own bags, but on these games?
And how do we leverage it, right?
We kind of talked about it a little bit last week.
We kind of talked about it a little bit last week.
I was inspired by what I had seen with Bearish, with their vibe coding,
how I felt like it kind of empowered me to go push beyond what I thought my limits were
I've seen some really cool tweets this week, too.
I don't know if you guys follow Greg Eisenberg.
But he put one out. Let me see if I can find that one, too. He's a great read, but he put one out.
Let me see if I can find that one too.
He put one out either yesterday or earlier today.
Like I've kind of been sensing this,
he just comments on entrepreneurs and businesses and how they relate to this space.
But he says, we're worried about AI and all these jobs and everything.
He says, the optimal startup team in 2025 is five people.
One engineer, one designer, one product league, one growth lead lead one ops person that's it engineer starts the day in cursor they paste in the product idea and cursor instantly generates
the scaffolding they edit in line with ai refactor entire files with a single prompt
and navigate the repo by chatting with it. Debugging feels like pair programming. Documentation is auto-generated.
By end of day, the idea is live.
I thought they were talking about the previous,
you know, the five to ten engineers
you would need pushing tickets all day.
They don't stop at Figma.
shape the brand, talk to users, and launch prototypes in VO or Replit. I think that's Vercel V0 or Replit. Sometimes they skip the handoff entirely. The vibe coding is real and
it's fast. The product lead jumps between defining success metrics, community building,
replying to support tickets, and building the strategy slash tactics to build a big company.
They're the glue. Growth lead is a mix of creative and technical. They are vibe marketing by hiring
agents, setting up analytics, rewriting landing pages, testing distribution ideas, finding creators to work with, and coming up with outlandish ideas to get people on social to stop scrolling on social and look at me.
Ops runs the quiet layer under everything.
Contracts, support, tools, hiring, money.
You don't feel the size of the team.
You feel the surface area.
It's the co-founder to everyone on the team,
It writes, supports, designs, scouts, and summarizes.
No meetings about what to do.
Instagram sold for a billion dollars with 13 people.
The next billion dollar company will get there with five.
five. This is how it plays out. Not theoretical, not future, already
This is how it plays out.
Not theoretical, not future.
Already happening, right?
just stoked on this because I've been stuck in my own echo chamber
and thinking, oh, I need a CTO and I need this and this and this.
So between the vibe coding with Bearish, kind of this insight
breaking it all down so simply,
and now knowing that we've been in the space,
we've got these products that the team is painstakingly curated,
thought of, ideated on, found devs, brought to market,
pushing out, using our IP.
And they're finally at a point where they're ready to go live
and they want to incorporate the community.
They want to incorporate the we are friends, right?
It's kind of this new meta.
It's like, you know, builders build and communities build alongside.
And so a year ago, if, you know, Steve or UV or one of them came to me
or somebody else in the project and said,
hey, we're going to build this and we want to turn it over to you,
do you think you could run it?
I'd probably say yes, right?
But I would be, I don't know, just kind of unsure of myself,
not really sure if I could do it right but like today over the last
six months just using ai kind of like getting a sense of it taking things that i that i do know
um that i can succeed at and then having kind of that co-pilot like yeah i take it on and that's
the stuff that they've got that's ready to go that will generate some revenue, can be oversought pretty easily once built, and then taken to the next level.
And then that revenue generation for the We Are Friends helps build product within the Edutainment app, but could also be there to, I don't know, fund your idea, right?
Like imagine if you got a $20,000 grant from the We Are Friends Foundation, tax-free, to go build.
And you had four buddies, four ladies, four people in the space that wanted to help you.
And you all had your own superpower, but then you had this,
you know, you had Captain Planet behind you.
Like, right, your powers come together.
It's right there for the taking.
And so where we've seen kind of some of
these other projects in the past.
The Plague, they were big on this.
They wanted to do this kind of community support launch projects.
And they did a great job.
They built a huge community.
And they did push out some really cool stuff. But part of the problem was this is just more NFT projects.
And so they were diluting their own ecosystem
and there wasn't enough utility
or the utility that was being created wasn't going to
happen soon enough and I think that some
of these games and the audience
will be within the space that
they're not going to be concerned about purchasing NFTs or that we're trying to approach our target, you know, our target market, um,
they're not going to be concerned about purchasing NFTs or,
really taking away or an increased supply affects the bottom line.
they're just going to play.
And so we're just going to need people that can make sure that the train stays on the tracks and we can kind of create this slunk ad on our own and then we can fund the next generation and the next generation.
And so, you know, while bearish is teaching people to code and doing these hackathons and things like that, you know, we're kind of poised to do something different and kind of be the management layer,
right? That's sort of the way that I'm looking at it. And then become the ideators.
So yeah, just a cool time. Cool time to be here in the space. You know, there's no right answers.
There's no wrong answers. But I think from my perspective and like with my skill set and some
of the things that I see within our community, like Steve has really set this up for a strong potential for us to succeed.
We are few compared to some other projects,
and I think we are capable.
I think there's a little bit less degeneracy here
although I'm not the most mature person,
And so it's pretty amazing.
of putting the initial teams together,
And now learning how to communicate.
We're basically trial by fire.
God bless you, Ken, but it would have been awesome
if we could have done this in November
eight products launching simultaneously.
But it's fun, dude, right?
And if we can do it here and we can do it now
then we can do it whenever, right?
Like if we get a lull and we get a quiet period,
then we have all these people that are already, you know, arms linked.
And they start coming up with ideas.
And then we have a token, right?
We got the friend's token and we can use that for governance.
And we could advance and fast track the best ideas.
It's really pretty unique. So I've been going on and then everybody wins. It's really
pretty unique. So, I've been
going on and on and on. You can tell I'm geeked.
This all just stemmed because we
I have my co-host, Jazzy's here jazzy's joined us
and uh i'm psyched to have her on stage jazzy how you doing happy friday welcome to the town square
sorry i'm late um happy friday um yeah i came in i don't know how much i missed i said sorry
i stepped away from my phone uh momentarily and then you know how much I missed. I said, sorry, I stepped away from my phone momentarily. And then
you know how that goes, my girl. So I was ready at five. I should have waited to jump in and like
gone back and now because then I would have never caught up. No. Um, yeah, you're ready to go. And
I wasn't right. So my apologies. That's how it goes. No, that's parent life. That's parent life.
You're ready to go and then something delays you.
And then by the time everyone else is ready to go, then you're stuck doing something else.
But no, I did catch a tidbit about just kind of what you were saying.
And I think that it was very valid.
That there's a lot. It can be very hard to be patient.
And I know just because we were kind of, you know, chatting in anticipation of the space and I know you handling,
I know you and I have, for the time we've been hosting Friendsville Town Square together,
have been going back and forth about schedules.
So I was even saying, I'm like, oh, you know, I threw out there, well, maybe we start the space a little bit later. And, you know, maybe we do it
bi-weekly. Maybe I know we've been talking about different spaces, different topics, you know,
different avenues that we could kind of explore to bring more activity, more eyes, more interest.
bring more activity, more eyes, more interest.
It's really hard to be patient in the midst of this space
because it seems like we're going so fast,
but so slow at the same time, if that makes any sense.
Like it seems like there's, you know,
so much happening in such a little bit of time,
but then when there's nothing happening,
everybody's just sitting and waiting and like,
So I think in those times,
I implore, you know, the community to, to, yeah, just, I mean, look back at IRL and find ways,
you know, I know we all have our different, you know, professions may have you or our different careers or our different, you know, so just, you or different careers or different, you know, so just,
you know, looking at different ways to get creative and different ways that we can, you know,
maybe reach outside of the space to find ways to bring more eyes. But it is, it's always that when,
and I do it myself. We did have the most current update about the books.
But I found myself in that same situation, my girl.
I'm sitting here saying when, when, when, when, and being patient, because I understand it takes time.
And all the pieces have to kind of move in a line.
And now the books are going to be received.
And I can't wait. You know, I spoke with the librarian this week about, you know, I'm like,
well, you know, as, as, as Micah and I had shared, actually, of course, the books are ready to go.
And now we're on two weeks of spring break. So there is no school for the next two weeks.
And anticipation of, well, do we send the books to the school? Or,
I mean, luckily, I live right across from the school, literally. And so, you know, I'm going
to receive the books. But I was speaking with the librarian about, you know, when I will actually
transport them and take them to her if she's going to be, you know, during that spring break period, anytime, you know,
at the school. So I left her with my phone number and I just said, hey, if there's times and you
want to, you know, receive the books prior to us coming back and have them all set up in anticipation
of, you know, the end or return from spring break to have the books on the shelves. So I can't wait
kind of explained to her a little bit more and discussed with her if she would mind me taking
pictures of things and kind of just documenting the circumstance and sharing it. And then so that
opened up a whole nother conversation of, you know, this whole other world and what, you know,
where the books come from and all these other people and my PFP and the characters
that are involved in the stories and the different people that also resonate with the specific
And I know Sleepy Pug was sharing how he got his characters and they just so happened
to be the names of himself and his daughter.
And so it's just really neat. And I know it takes
time. And I know sometimes in those, those lulls, we can get a little antsy and we can get a little
kind of stir crazy. I know we've seen some sales and then, you know, Ken came through with those
awesome promos and I was so FOMOing. I'm like, gosh, insufficient funds. But I just implore the
community as a whole. I know sometimes during those lulls, it can seem like nothing is happening.
And instead of, you know, I think looking at the clock and counting the days until we hear the
next announcement, it really is, I think, most appreciated when we as a community come up,
and they may just be silly ideas. It may be, I know, Micro and I were tossing around the ideas,
I had told him I was interested in looking at like, you know, like nutrition. And I had told him,
you know, I really, there's, there's been a, there's a grocery app that I've seen a lot on Facebook.
And they have, they're specifically geared towards nutritional food and families and kids and snacks and things like that.
And I was like, what if we did something in that venue?
So I, myself, still struggle on did something in that venue? So I myself still
struggle on a regular with different ways of being creative and finding ways that I can cross connect
what we're doing here in Web3 and bring that into Web2 and vice versa. And we don't always
have immediate answers, but if we just stay the course and we stay steady. You know, it's just a matter of time before things start to kind of come together and we'll get there.
But just, you know, patience, patience, patience.
Yes, I am so ready for two weeks of spring break.
I this last week has been insane.
And by insane, I mean life changing.
It's just so much going on.
I want to ask you about what's life-changing
because that sounds exciting but before i do that i want to jump on two things you said
um one in talking about the books i have confirmation that the books went into the
mail today so i don't know whether they're slow boat to China, four day, five day, if they're two day.
But I do know that they went into the mail,
so they should be in your hands sometime next week, possibly pretty early.
New York to California, right?
So they got to make it across the country,
but their school books are coming.
And that is super exciting.
The second thing, and I'm really glad you brought it up because there was a period where, you know, when we first started the committees and everybody had such good ideas.
Everybody was like, hey, we could do this.
Hey, we could do that and like from my position where i've sat on teams before and even
myself have had really good ideas but i know how long the development cycle is and i know that
there's already things you know sitting in icebox and ready to deploy and you know all this different
like series of like how you launch sas companies that's been in the past and i was like these are
great but let's you know we're a small team and we're resource limited.
that we don't overwhelm them
and we get done the things
that we need to get across the finish line
cracking a whole new project.
But here we are like three weeks later, right?
And that sounds attainable.
You and I could break off
and we could just vibe code for a little bit and we
could put something together and we could go back to,
we are friends and we could say,
we can turn it over to your designers and they can put Friendsville IP in
And we need five grand to go market it.
And then it'll be a Friendsville app and it'll serve the foundation.
And then anything, you know, it'll be a friendsville app and it'll serve the foundation and then anything you know there will be you know people who work on it will get compensated in some
way and then any residual leftover will go back into the fund and that'll increase the value of
the friends token and that'll allow the next project to launch right and then you know you
can pass it off and somebody you know we can have idea people that just generate these ideas and these quick patches.
And then we could have people that really want to dive and make it perfect and get it all figured out.
And then we could have people that manage it, just product managers or salespeople that go push it.
We've got this Spark app.
And it's got the potential to token gate different projects on a week to week.
I don't know if you guys, we've talked to, we had Ma on, we talked to Frankie's Adventure.
They do a different skin, right?
And so they get a different community every couple of weeks to do a tournament.
So we need a BD person to go out and just make those connections and just say, hey, we've got this.
We're happy to put your NFTs in.
We'll support some, You guys support some.
And we'll get your IP out there.
And we'll do something that your community can have some fun with.
So we can't just take those ideas and take them off the drawing board and smash something together.
And since it's a low-cost, fast development cycle now, if it's a stinker, not saying that the nutrition app is going to be a stinker, but if there is a stinker, we didn't invest a ton of time and capital to figure that out.
We just got to the point where now we know.
And I'm glad you brought that up because we do.
We need to go dust off all those ideas and say, okay, here, I'll spend an hour with you if you don't know how to vibe code.
Or the next time Bearish does something, we'll collab with them and we'll send a portion of our community over there go watch their youtube videos they're
all free on how to do this stuff it only takes an hour you don't know and then go mess around
learn a new skill while supporting the project that you know you're viewing about so super cool
concept super cool concept i'll um i'll let you digest on that. And if you've got feedback
or thoughts, I'd love to hear them. But I also want to know
what was so life-changing this week.
Maybe it's too soon. Maybe it's too personal.
I don't know. Not going to share.
I know. I shouldn't have said anything in the first place.
Okay. Alright. We'll keep it under wraps.
In the market, they call ready to share. Okay. All right. We'll keep it under wraps. That's what they call that in the market. They call that a, that's a big market tease. Things to come for in, in, in the jazzy verse. There will be more. Um, no, it was something
that, um, in the midst of, you know, sometimes you get ahead of yourself when you're speaking
on these spaces. Um, but I will be very happy to share with Friendsville soon, soon, I promise.
In regards to all of the other amazing things that you touched on, books, yes.
I'm very, very, I'm like almost, it's like a kid, either on Christmas or on a birthday,
waiting for a package, and you know that there's going to be a box and you can't wait to open the box. And I was telling the librarian, I'm like, I'm torn between
should I, you know, and I guess you can maybe help me with this input. I don't know if you know
exactly what's going in the box. I know we had spoken about maybe a potential kind of like letter
or something of greeting so that I should wait and have them, you know, have my librarian actually
open the box. But it's going to be very hard for me to have the box and not want to open it.
But other than that, I am very excited to be receiving that. And I think that transfer of
taking something that I hold very near and dear to my heart and that exchange and actually having
it handed over, you know, to the school and to the staff.
For me, I'm just very excited. I'm very, very excited. I'm like a little kid on the inside,
just giggling and wiggling. And to have staff actually, you know, there was, for those that
I have not shared, there was actually interest from actual therapies.
So the speech therapist had inquired about the books when the librarian had been sharing them out and had them in the library for that week or so in anticipation of the district taking them and then also going through them.
And so for me, I was just, you know, I thought that the interest from the school and the exception by the district was amazing.
But then to also see that there are therapists, you know, who professionally felt a benefit in having these books and utilizing them for their own lessons.
That for me was like a whole left field.
I was like, oh, I didn't even anticipate that other
you know outside of just the classroom and yes we serve uh TK through through fifth grade but
um I was just thinking having them in the library and having them in you know maybe
circulating in in some of the classrooms but to to actually have therapists take these and utilize these,
and then to have kids go home with different drawings and lessons and wanting them to utilize
and share that with their, like, I just can see the endless possibilities and how this can continue
to roll. And so that's very exciting for me to have people seek me out with their interest in
the books. And lo and behold, that they have any idea of all of
this that goes on behind the scenes in connection with the books, but with time. Again, that's not
something I really want to shove down anyone's throat. I don't want to overwhelm anyone, but I
think getting the books, as I said, you know, when the first conversation happened in one of the team
chats about getting the books was, you know, this is leading into everything else that's developing.
So yes, we start with the books, but as everything else, that's kind of the initiator,
you know what I'm saying? That's that soft closure of like, look, I have a book for you.
And then along with that book comes now,
you know, all these games and apps and everything else that they also, once they recognize the
character and they see that face and they have that concept of this cute kitty, you know,
it kind of gets them hooked and almost naturally lends into when everything else is coming out,
you know, what more, how else do we get to see Nippy?
So very, very exciting. And thank you, thank you, micro, for helping be that middle person to help
kind of further push things along and make sure, I know the team is busy. So when I make contact,
I know that I will receive feedback eventually. But I think again,
kind of going back to that, the trickle effect and knowing that, you know, I have you, I have
the leads to contact and we have Ken to contact. And they are, of course, much more able to get
those messages and things passed along to the team in a more proper and
orderly fashion. So very, very, very excited. The other thing I was thinking about when you
were touching on my mention of getting creative and thinking of different ideas is one of the
other things that I've been thinking about that will also lend to that is character development.
had kind of reached out and I had started speaking in the committee chat about you plus me equals we.
I was looking for different kind of tie-ins. And of course, with Easter coming up,
you know, the bunny hat is one, you plus me, you plus me equals we is one of my favorite stories.
I think it's perfect for our setting.
And I love that because, you know, it also helps kids to understand, especially in elementary school, where they're really developing their sense of self and their identity and who they are.
and their identity and who they are. And they have a lot of impressing on them as far as
friends and fitting in, plus academics and getting good grades and all of these things.
They are literally, this is their introduction into kind of their first step and concept of
the outside world and relationships and communication. And I was just speaking with
my daughter today because she had an incident with one of her friends. And of course, I kind of feel sometimes that
I don't want to step on toes. And being a mom and being staff, I have that fine line that I
stand where I want to give good advice. And of course, I'm always looking out for not
only my daughter's best interest, but for all of the kids, honestly. I love our school. I think we
are so blessed with the support and the community that we have there. So I not only want my daughter
to learn lessons, I want my kids to learn lessons. And of course, their friends and their peers and everyone else who obviously is going to be in coincidence is going to be involved in our lives for the next couple of years as my kids go through the elementary school cycle.
lives for the next couple of years as my kids go through the elementary school cycle. But so yes,
I was definitely reaching out to the committee and I'm like, hey, with Easter coming up, let's
get some ideas and maybe let's kind of focus in on you plus me equals we. That lesson about
fitting in or not fitting in, about being accepted, about being kind. You know, Millie definitely goes through some stuff.
And it definitely is something that can definitely help in that sense of kids understanding that,
you know, people aren't always nice. And that's okay. That's an okay lesson to learn,
because that is the real world. But how do we deal with that? What does that look like? And how do we prepare ourselves, you know, to kind of move through that? And what do we take away from that? Because we can only shield and protect them so much.
There will be times where there are going to be incidents that we can't control.
The only thing that we control is how we respond.
So that was definitely a lesson learned with my own child today.
And I think as we look into some of these stories, and I've gone back and I've read them now, re-read them multiple, multiple times, looking for different ways of kind of pinpointing and touching on things and how those things can
then correlate and come to the real world. So I do implore a lot of friends, if you have not
recently, or if you do not have the books to reach out, I know that many of our team are looking for
ways to help to, you know, get these products out. So whether it's a special or whether it's putting
them, you know, doing giveaways, what may have you, we definitely want to get the books into
as many friends' hands as possible. And I think when you get to look into the books and you really
get to connect more with the story, that those are also really great ways to get creative
I'm also thinking that what about new characters?
Not that that would be something that would be, of course, again, something that would
be more immediate, but I don't know that we've seen already existing characters that don't
yet have stories. I don't
think Nippy is part of a story yet. Where does Nippy's story come in? How many different avenues
and venues and ways can we, you know, include Nippy? So I was like, oh my gosh, you know,
I'm looking at my character and I'm looking at the different traits and I'm trying to get inspired.
And I'm like, well, you know, I got a hundred pound weight. So, you know, I'm looking at my character and I'm looking at the different traits and I'm trying to get inspired. And I'm like, well, you know, I got a hundred pound weight,
so, you know, I'm out here pushing weight. But also with, of course, I know I touched on it.
I was so blessed to have my Sam, who I initially was onboarded from Ken Cope, the goat,
and the cardboard boxes and how that also could be lead to so many
different things. I mean, everything from cats, because we have obviously our nippy characters,
and how much cats love playing with boxes and how much kids love playing with boxes. You'll get a
kid, a, you know, brand new present. It comes in this amazing box, they'll take the gifts out of the
box. And, you know, nine times out of 10, then they're playing with the box, you know, more than
they play with the actual toy, or the toy will go missing and end up buried somewhere. But my boxes
are utilized more, I think, than the toys sometimes. So, you know, don't allow yourself to necessarily
be roadblocked. Don't get discouraged if there isn't anything
that pops up or that is present at the moment. But, you know, always looking for different
opportunities and ideas that may come to you. But character development, I know, is something that
is up and coming. I know we have so many different unique avenues to explore and to travel with character development as we're looking into all sorts of
other things as far as, you know, cartoons and TV series. But starting that now, because obviously
in order for these things all to come to fruition, you know, it's always great to have, you know,
somewhere to start and to have those stories already developing and then
take those and develop those into other venues. So yeah, just, you know, trying to do my part.
And sometimes it can feel very defeating when there isn't anything happening to feel uninspired,
but finding ways uniquely to kind of inspire ourselves.
but finding ways uniquely to kind of inspire ourselves.
Amazing. Amazing, Jazzy. I love it.
You inspired me with like five or six ideas right there too.
And, you know, we are really lucky to have John,
to have his storytelling, to have his artistic design,
to have kind of inspired the initial set of books,
to know that he's on board to do many,
many more books. But I think you've kind of unlocked something too. And even this week,
last week, with the AI generation of imagery, everybody's messing with their PFP, they're
making full bodies, they're putting them in different situations um and so there is
a lot of like personal character lore that's coming along and it is unlocking more creativity
and it is empowering community members to go and do a little bit more so i would love to see
something like that um i also know like you know i know that there are um you know kids love to
share right and kids love to see their own. They want to see their art on the refrigerator.
They want to see their art hung up at school.
They want their parents to come see it.
what if we built an MVP for like a feedback loop where,
could draw their own version of a Nippy story and put it up and have it,
at the very least be local and they could share with their parents.
maybe, you know, we take the best of them of them and put them in and they get a spotlight
and they get X number of friends or tickets or something for that.
It's just like, let's just keep writing all these down.
And then in terms of, when you said new characters,
I know you kind of went down the nippy path,
but another big market tease
I don't know, I don't know
I don't want to say too much, maybe Ken can tell
us if it's a little closer, Ken's the stage but to your point like we can you can go create you know like your
own super awesome nft that you own but also write that whole story and it's not from the team it's
from the community and that that is a massive opportunity to get people to go expand the brand
because now they're pushing their thing as much as they're pushing you know the team's thing so anyway ken i see you're up on stage appreciate you joining us
friday night friendsville how are you man hey what's happening micro uh jazzy great to see both
of you uh i hope everybody's doing well i uh you know i don't have uh don't have an agenda just
want to hop up more than anything i wanted to give a shout out and i don't have an agenda, just want to hop up. More than anything, I wanted to give a shout out, and I don't know this person, but I see
Champ down in the audience, and that's Secret Society of Wales, PFP.
And that was one of the first projects that actually brought me to Web3.
Some of you know I collect sports cards and memorabilia and stuff, and that was my first
And then SSOW was my second one. So those guys are OGs. I was in that, you know, five years ago or something. I think I still hold some. But shout out to Champ down there and shout out to, you know, a lot of great PFPs that I see in the audience. Thanks everybody for joining. You know, having a good night, just chilling.
I shouldn't say chilling. I'm never chilling. I'm painting walls and getting stuff ready for a 16 year old's homecoming and no, not homecoming prom, sorry, prom. And then we got baseball early
in the morning, as long as the snow holds off. So just a great week. Hope everybody's been doing good in Friendsville. You know, I
heard a little bit about the different activations, characters, you know, the Spark game is like
so, so close to being 100%. You know, this wasn't in general but there was you know a lot of committee members
were doing some testing this week on that uh and it's looking really really sharp so i'm happy for
that and then after spark uh we've got rufus recon which rufus recon i'm really excited about
because rufus was for those that haven't been here since the beginning, Rufus was the first mint,
the first character for Friendsville before there was even Friendsville,
there was Rufus. So he's as OG as it gets. And it's just a, you know,
from, from what the team says, it's really,
really cool stuff there because it's kind of like find an object maze,
hidden objects, type of games with some fun animation.
And, you know, really, you know, both Rufus Recon and Catmouse Cheese Go,
those are all about driving that Web 2 activation, right?
You know, you don't have to be in the space too long to understand that we're all really early, which is awesome.
But it also means that the universe is not that large and everybody sees project values go up and down and up and down.
It's the same money. It's just the same money circulating from project to project. And that's part of why, you know, I just love the idea of
Friendsville and what it's doing. There's obviously some other projects that are IRL projects
that have real utility that are trying to bring in, you know, more entrance to the space. But,
you know, I personally think that Friendsville is really uniquely positioned to do that. And while the Spark game kind of focuses on Web3 and other NFT projects and engagement and that type of thing, Rufus Recon and CMCG are like, okay, get into people's homes, you know, get onto their phones, get onto their iPads or whatever, and introduce them to Web3. And that's really what has to happen to do what we all think NFTs and crypto
and Web3 will do is we got to keep onboarding.
And so I'm excited for those.
So, yeah, just thanks for having me.
You know, hopefully we get some others up here.
Hopefully we have some questions and, you know hopefully we get some others up here uh hopefully uh we have some questions and uh you
know everybody down there would encourage anyone down there um to hop on up and um and ask uh
anything ask questions away micro and jazz you're just great hosts and as always i appreciate you
too for for having these yeah man love it well enjoy your painting and and definitely thank you um for kind of recapping
some of that too i i think um yeah we did have some fun the committees did have some fun playing
the sparks game this week um trying to get some more beta testing in get it ready to go live and
like i said i mean that's a that's a huge tool that we can go to other communities and and you
know give them that experience and let them play and onboard new people.
Just saying, the chibi meant it's still open.
Slot spins are still available
Boosts are still available for now.
in your wallet, you will also be eligible
at least once, I believe.
There's already utility in the chibi.
And we haven't even revealed them yet.
Reveal is going to be pretty sweet too.
I'm kind of bringing it back to the project,
giving those big market teases.
Ken, let me ask you this.
You've been around the space for a while.
If somebody were to grant you $20,000
and said build something Web 2 facing, Web 3 facing that could support you, do you have any ideas off the top of your head, things that you would like to try to put into place?
That's a good question, Mike Rowe.
You know, I, my world, I always feel like I'm at a disadvantage in this space because one, I'm old as dirt. And two, I just don't have the technical expertise to do a lot of the things that I'd love to do. Right. But to me, it's, it's all about adoption. And so anything that you do in my mind has the greatest level of access by, you know, finding the largest market, as long as it's executable, and doing so in a world that is typically at the beginning of them, you've got a ton of entrants, right, a ton of people that do something.
And so if you look back at when the Internet was invented, if you look back at, I mean, if any history buffs that are in here, like look at the invention of the steam engine or anything else, right, Railroads, right? You usually have a whole
bunch of people that rush into it with great ideas and to try to move an industry forward.
And of those tons of projects and tons of inventors or business people or whatever it is,
a few of them succeed, right? And become just giants, right? And those that typically succeed are those that are able
to do something very, very elemental that affects the most people's lives, right? So
if you can find a way to make a large group of people just a little bit better in life somehow,
that's usually a key for success, right? So, you know, I'm excited about this new committee
structure. I'm excited about what you talked about in terms of, you know, where the team is going and where the team is going is
trying to kind of seed the community, if you will, with real tools, right? And then it's up to the
community and certain people in the community to take that opportunity, right? And say, you know what? I've got something I want to try out. And
I'm going to take that idea to the grants committee. And maybe I need some resources
from the engagement committee and the business development committee. But here's my proposal.
Here's how much it's going to cost. Here's my idea. And let me try it out. And, you know,
And let me try it out. And, you know, I think that Friendsville is all about giving people resources, as long as they're aligned on the outside and not very involved, one, appreciate you.
But two, I'd highly encourage anybody to go to wearefriends.com, the W-E-A-R-E-F-R-E-N-S.com, and check out the values.
Check out what the project's all about.
Download the white paper for the Friends token, which kind of drives the ecosystem and just dive in a little bit. Right.
Because, you know, I think this particular project,
It's not built on a huge amount of holders.
It's certainly not built on KOLs or influencers because the team's never
paid anybody like that to do anything.
It's built on its values and it's built on a really, really solid business plan in my mind.
So, you know, I just, I hope everybody that is a holder or even people that aren't a holder can
see what Friendsville is doing and say, you know what, I vibe with that. Uh, I want to give it my shot and I want to get involved. So, um,
I know it's an abstract way of answering your question. Um,
but I'm just happy that some of the resources are,
are kind of coming to bear and getting put out there.
I love it, man. I love it. And you know what? I think that's, that's great,
right? Like empower the people, um, give them the tools, turn it loose.
And I don't know if you were here when I was running down.
I posted that Greg Eisenberg post at the top about the Optimal Startup Team.
I read the whole thing just because I thought it was that powerful.
So I implore you, even though you are old as dirt, your words, not mine mine that you try some of this stuff out man
because it's you really just
you put in English prompts
and it spits out functional software
there's a breaking down of the gatekeepers
now you still need them to go do finished product
and do anything that's safe
an mbp up pretty quick so don't let that uh don't let that stop you man no right i love it and uh
not to get on too much of a tangent but i've been following um like mikey anderson and what he's
doing um you know they release something uh i think in just the last day, this Think Agents,
I think it's thinkagents.ai, but you can find them on X or whatever. And, you know, it's basically
these personal agents, you know, they're really big on not having other people have your data.
on not having other people have your data.
And if you go to Grok or whatever else,
like one, when they interact with you,
they're taking your data, right?
And doing whatever they want to with it.
And so it's not really anonymous like you'd want it to be.
And two, like you don't want to give them your data.
And so, I mean, you know a lot more about this than I do, but what Mikey's doing is
these personal agents that you know you hold the data, and then that personal agent interacts
with all these other agents.
And so they kind of describe it as like, okay, say you have a doctor's appointment and need
to book a trip, and you've got a board presentation or whatever it is, okay, say you have a doctor's appointment and need to book a trip and you've
got like a board presentation or whatever it is, right? All these things that you want to do.
This personal agent can do that with your data being secure and then just talk to all these
other agents to get stuff done, right? And so you know that you can give your medical
information to it and it's not going to release it to somebody else.
Right. And so there's just some really amazing, really cool, cool stuff happening.
And I'm here for it. I'm just excited. It's a great time to be alive.
It's really cool to see, you know, some of the stuff is coming out and again, how it will make our life as humans better that's that's really um
that's really should be the end goal so just just really smart people working on a lot of great
things and i'm appreciative of everybody that's doing it let's go let's go yeah you're gonna have
to tap me in on that um i may have seen it but but like you said, the space is just so rampant. So if that's worth the look,
I don't know how possible
this is. Maybe I need to do my own due diligence.
in the town square, right, we
AI come in, right? And she hung out with us and
answered our questions. I think Ken got in the DMs.
Rufus account just had its own
Rufus, right? And we trained
Rufus to all the characteristics
members could interact with Rufus, either
on the timeline or live in space.
their questions, right? And then
when it was time to give more
information we could just load rufus up and and he could spell the alpha he or she um i guess i
don't know whether rufus is a boy or girl but you know that would be cool um or all the nippy
characters right all all what is 13 13 different characters like like jazzy was saying like as we
build out kind of their unique storylines
and independent things, if they could take that on,
So, yeah, it's crazy, right?
And you used to think, oh, man, you need 10 devs,
80 hours a week to get stuff like that done.
Now it's more about server costs and requests
to keep the lights on and capitalize
We could tangent on this all night. I'd love to know what
you guys want to build, right? Drop in the comments,
drop it in the chat, come up here and
And it doesn't even necessarily have to be for Friendsville,
right? If we've got bearish builders in here
and we've got a bunch of different projects.
Zed's down there, you know,
and everything they're doing.
geez, way to drop the lead.
I mean, we've always been friends, but officially friends.
And they're going to help us get some media out there
and introduce our community to their communities
as their project evolves.
I know they've got a bunch of cool mechanisms they want to do
to use their platform to support all the projects that
they're partnered with, sweep floors, do giveaways, that sort of thing. So that's great. And that's
great that we have people literally in our committees, not just in our community, but in
our committees that are working for Friendsville and working hand-in- hand with OGT. So that can only benefit us.
So if you didn't catch that news this week,
If you don't know OG triple media,
They're doing some really cool stuff and they're giga brain too.
nice little tie in there.
Like I said, I'd love to hear from you guys figure out what you're building
get in touch with your committee members
get in touch with the team
share with us maybe we even need like a little
could assign different committee members to
I don't know we just got to organize all this stuff maybe committee members do. People have ideas. They can dump them in.
We just got to organize all this stuff.
Maybe that's the first project.
How do you organize Discord suggestions and let the AI go through the ones
that are spammy or scammy
and then just spit out the ones
that are actually from real people?
So there's another product.
Where do we go from here?
What else do we want to talk about tonight?
We got about 15 minutes left.
I feel like I've been talking a lot.
That's because I was shoving my face.
It's dinner time. All good. All good. It my face yeah it's dinner time all good all good it is it is definitely
dinner time but no I like and like you said um I think sometimes we get to in our own heads
um and I know I've shared this in one or two town squares is um sharing and not only I mean whether
it's in it's inscribing and so writing something down and making a log, um,
and then come and share it with the committee, um, or just one member. Um,
you know, if there's a certain friend or, you know,
a certain member who you are most closely acquainted, um,
you don't feel comfortable necessarily sharing things out to a group of people, as far as like
the committee, bringing it to just one person, or just again, just sharing it. I know sometimes
on our posts, we're like, oh, I can't write this, or I can't write that, or I don't want,
but you know, getting the idea out there so that other people can also receive that information,
it may be something that someone else was already thinking about or may have thought
about at one point in time and can ignite that interest or that idea and can spring
So there's no one clear cut answer.
And I know in this space, it can seem very
tedious at times that we, that it has to be done one way. Sometimes it really drives me crazy. And
I'm going to get really, I'm going to get really honest right here. If I see a Friendsville post,
I don't care who it's from. If there is a Friendsville asset on a post, I am liking and reposting.
I don't know that people necessarily are that, I don't know, protective of their timeline,
that they're like, I can't have this on my timeline. I don't care if it's Friendsville.
And heaven forbid, I don't think I've ever seen a Friendsville post that wasn't appropriate. But it's going on my timeline. I'm going to like I'm going to, you know, and as much
as I can, I try to reply because of course, a like and a repost is great. But if you actually
leave a comment, you know, seeing we all know, I would hope most of us in here have gotten some
interactions on posts, if that's so you know, so you so choose is your way of participating in this space.
But we all know it feels great to see not only a like or a repost, but comments, and making sure
then those comments, then you do read comment on those comments and kind of keep that chain going,
keeping those conversations flowing. Yeah, it just it just really drives me
crazy when I see posts. And it's like, or there's a ton of likes. And unless it's something personal,
where it's like a personal picture of people, I get that or if it's, you know, kids, sometimes
people are like, Oh, that's personal. That's just for them. I don't want to reshare that.
But share it. Like, I mean, if people put it on the timeline, usually it's there because they want other people to interact and to share, you know, their in, in what they are doing personally.
So yeah, don't be, come on guys.
I mean, we're not being graded like on our timelines and every post has to be in, in
relation to something very specific.
If we support and we're part of Friendsville, then we should support and be a part of Friendsville. So I mean, I'm not kidding you. Sometimes I'm just looking through
things and I'm like, why is that not reposted? And I get very devilish in my little deep voice.
And I'm like, come on guys. But put it out there, put it on the timeline, more people to see it,
more people to share. And sometimes maybe people are just in that sense in their own head of like,
I can repost it, but nobody's going to see it or do anything to it anyways.
And it's like, well, you know, who cares?
At some point, I'm going to.
I'm going to see how far, how long it would take me to go back and to scroll back because
I actually was thinking about doing this.
It's almost been actually one year since Brian and I started Friendsville Town Square.
And I remember I was in a different school.
I was literally in a different household and home. I was in a different career at a different,
you know, location. There was so much that has changed in this last year, but being able to go
back and seeing some of those, some of those kind of first introductions, I was literally coming into Friendsville pretty brand new. And to see kind of how far we've come in this last year and what's progressed is very just it's very humbling.
and waiting for big news, you know, you could be that big news, you know, and we know that we have
a great support system and a great team that is there willing to do whatever they can to help
to bring that about. And I do just want to touch, you know, I know sometimes we kind of keep things
close and kind of, and not necessarily, you know, guarded, but I definitely just want to commend our team.
They're, they're this week also kind of, I know it was a little, little rough on the team and
we had some members who, not some members, we had a member in specific, not pointing any names.
I know you guys know who I'm talking about, but you know, a pretty dedicated member and, you know, was very kind of up in arms about things and
brought it to Discord and brought it to the general chat. And our team so humbly
let kind of things run its course and kind of, you know, and it's all over the place. And we
have to understand as humans, we're not all going to be in the same place at the same time. You can't always appease and please
everyone. And everyone has their own issues and reasons for why they feel the way that they do.
Sometimes we have to step back and see the bigger picture. We have to look through a different scope.
We have to, you know, explore that patience. I told you it is a virtue. Sometimes we need to
remind ourselves of that as well,
that there's a lot of things going on and remind ourselves that our team,
this is not their full-time job. We have people here who literally, this is their full-time.
This is their life. This is what they do day in and day out. So they can dedicate themselves
nonstop 24 hours to what is happening in this space. That is not our team.
Magically, somehow they get it all done.
And there's times I know they work into the late nights and they're balancing not only
their IRL careers and very major careers, but they have to also, you know, take time
for their personal selves.
It's very selfish of us to think that they would
be here just delivering, you know, all these things nonstop, 24-7. So the team, I think,
did an amazing job this week at handling some criticisms and some questions and did so in a
venue where everyone was able to see, everybody was able to pitch in. I know sometimes things get testy.
I know sometimes through text, things can kind of be out of context, but I really just want to
applaud the team for allowing, showing, you know, as I said, very kind of humbly that we all have a
voice. And we know that at any point in time, if you don't get something answered, bringing it to the general chat and tagging, you know, there's a there's a list of people that you know you're going to get a response.
You know, they do their best. They really do do their best to answer each and every question.
And I'm sure there's a lot even we don't see. I mean, even as a moderator, I see a lot.
I mean, even as a moderator, I see a lot, but there's things even that we don't see that go on behind the scenes.
And they're trying to balance this all within, you know, a certain allotted amount of time without going crazy.
This is their baby. They do care about this very, very much.
And so sometimes we need to stop pointing the finger at others and kind of take that thumb and point it back at us and hold
ourselves accountable. And if, you know, if there's a part of Friendsville that you feel is maybe
lacking or needs a little bit more, um, better focus, um, you know, why, why don't you step up
and why don't you, you know, recommendations are always appreciated. Um, and there are just,
as I said, my recommendation to get the books on the shelves.
I mean, inevitably, they had to go on a shelf somewhere. And at some point in time, they're
going to be on shelves everywhere. But that took me just being like, hey, if I have an opportunity
and I have the power with my own connections, my own networking to do something about this,
let me stop asking the team to do it and let me, you know, take some of
that responsibility upon myself and see how I can be helpful. So just a reminder. And we are all
human. Nobody is perfect. And I think, again, the team delivered on that fact of like, hey,
we don't mind being called out. And we're going to do our best then to come back and be as honest
and transparent as humanly possible to share and to show, you know, a good
response to that question. So that was just that that was very humbling experience to sit back. And
I actually missed the initial experience and went back and read through the hundreds of messages I
was missing. I was like, what happened? But that again, just goes to show you we are all human.
And although we may be impatient, usually just popping up and raising our hand and say, hey, what's going on?
The team is more than willing to answer and to share as much as they can without, of course, keeping some of those things saved for appropriate timing.
So just a big, big applaud to the team.
Yeah, I mean, stuff happens, right?
Not the first time a conversation like that took place in the Discord.
Criticism is good as long as it's constructive.
I think that one of the things that I see most often that's disappointing but understandable is that the founders and builders that tend to get the most pushback on things are the ones that are still here.
And there's a lot of people that did a lot more to extract and a lot less to give that just can't be reached or have been forgotten about.
And that's what really hurts us, right?
So those frustrations don't just build up
They build up from external things
that just happen in the space.
just from my perspective,
in Web3, we tend to think that
this is the only place that stuff like that happens but if
you go out and you're in a startup if you go out and you work in technology if you go out and you
work in big business the same things take place they just they just don't happen as publicly or
um sometimes when they do we're not the participants right and so there there's another
level of um learning that goes
on here in this space that is that is really critical that that majority of the population
will never be exposed to and that's a good thing right it's not it's not a hindrance on this space
it's it's actually more people are learning so um we get through it right and we're better for it
and i would i would also love you know, we put things out here to the community.
we're here every Friday at 8 o'clock.
Come up and talk to us, right?
Like Jazzy said, text is hard.
And if you don't want to do it in a recorded space,
But there are people available
in the Discord or in my DMs or in the comment, wherever, but there are people available and I'd love to,
in the discord or in my DMS or in the comment,
wherever I'd love to see what our community has, has,
in other servers and other areas of life in terms of how feedback loops work
and how they can be improved and enhanced because we are here for
decentralization. We are here for decentralization we are here for um group think and we're certainly here for transparency right
um all information is on chain right you can you can go find those wallets and figure out who are
the good ones and who are the bad ones pretty quickly if you want to take the time. I just think most people don't.
as big of an event as it seems like in the
there. It's just something that
I don't think is ever going to go away.
There are founders of blue chip
projects that have literally told community members to floor it in GTFO, right?
Or if you could do it so well, go build your own project.
Like those, you know, that happens.
It's just how we respond to it, how we react to it, and how we're seen.
And I think that that's where that feedback loop is important.
And trust me, my DMs are open.
I love this project passionately,
but I'm also just a community member, right?
I got a little bit more of a role now with the committees
and I jump up on this space because I love it and it's fun.
But I'm just like you guys, right?
I want to put this product in my kids' hands
believe in it. And so if there's gripe or vent or things like that, we can find a way. We can
find a way to solve it, to get the messages communicated so everybody feels seen and heard.
And then, yeah, just bring it back full circle to what we've kind of been talking about this
whole space, even the last two weeks, is you've got the tools now to go do your own thing too.
Put yourself in the arena. Put yourself in that
spot and see what it takes. See how it feels.
And that's empowering. But it also
gives you perspective. And that can be really revealing
as well and create less contempt and
more appreciation for everything that has been done so um great message jazzy i think it's a
great way to kind of bring it home um i i you know i think we've had a great space here tonight
um kind of in a week where there's not a lot of news now the one the one item you know use your
Go get your chibis if you want your chibi to earn you a spin sooner than later.
Because some of that stuff, I think there will certainly be a little bit of a grace period.
But I wouldn't want anything that people have earned through competition, through minting, or hard work to go unutilized
and be taken advantage of.
a little PSA based on what Steve
said almost a week ago now.
And it's still out there.
They're still available, so go get them, but
Jazzy, I'm going to cue up a little music.
I'll give you the 90 second little rundown
um what you're excited about you know where you think the project's going whatever's on your mind
and um and then i'll close this out sounds great it's perfect timing um yeah and i didn't yes i
i'm glad that that was well received sometimes Sometimes I'm like, wait, should I speak about this?
But I feel like if it's something that is prevalent and that I am so feeling that inkling to share, then I should just share.
I've kind of, I'm at an age now where I don't, there's no reason to hold anything back.
If it's something that's present on my mind, I'm going to share it.
Good, bad, or ugly, how that's received.
I always share, hopefully constructively.
I've learned that through the education system is that's received. I always share, hopefully constructively, I've learned that through the
education system is that deliverance. It's like, okay, well, if we want, you know, these little
four and five-year-olds to listen to us, you can yell. They're going to, you know,
you know, they get their eyes get big and they look at you and they're like, oh my gosh.
And that's one way. But nine times out of 10, if you kind of just stand and you're present and you're actually quiet, the quieter you are, the more they're like, okay, wait, what's going on? And then they stop and then they're curious. And sometimes in our emotions and how we're feeling, there's always better ways for things to be delivered. Our feelings are valid. And as you
said, as long as it's constructive, we just have to remember that we can complain and we can whine
and gripe. But it's, what is that going to get done? What is the end result? What are we trying
to achieve from all of this? And those are the things that I just kind of, those are the tools I utilize in my personal life, in my IRL, to make sure that
at the end of the day, I'm not just complaining, that I'm trying to figure out a solution to how
this is going to all get fixed. Because obviously, it's enough to bug me, it's enough to be present,
then what am I going to do about it? So yeah, just a little, you know, a little tidbit.
I do know, as I said, there have been many conversations in the background as far as
where we are going, what is next. I know there is that point in time of waiting. I know that we all see things coming on the horizon
and it can be very, it can cause, you know,
angst and anxiety and just waiting
for those things to happen.
So again, I implore our friends to think of, you know,
different creative ways that we could be useful
and that we can apply what we do in our everydays and how that may benefit
the projects that we love, whether it's Friendsville or it's any of the other projects that
we're a part of. I, for a long time, have been, you know, kind of melding through my mind of
how do we get like fidget toys? I would love fidget toys are in the education system.
You would not understand how useful fidget toys are, especially nowadays.
I think sitting in that setting for an extended period of time, kids get pent up.
It's just natural. At what point in time our education system may change to kind of better suit that?
You know, there's sometimes I'm like
recess, 15 minutes is not enough. By the time they get out and they actually start playing,
you know, that may take them five to 10 minutes. And then, you know, they're doing it for five
minutes, and then we're wrapping up and we're going inside. You know, so it's always we have
to start somewhere. Some of the things that have been in place, maybe for a longer period of time, maybe they do need to be revamped. So maybe looking at things that are already
established and saying, how could I make this different? How can I make this new? How can I
make this better suited to fit my needs and my wants? Yeah. So sometimes being selfish is the
answer. Figuring out things that best serve you. So whatever it is, I just implore you this weekend
to maybe take a moment and think about it.
With that being said, I do enjoy this micro.
I was, and I'm not gonna lie,
this week with everything that's been going on,
I was really in anticipation of the space this week.
But every time I do come in,
I feel like it almost is kind of like a weight off of my chest.
I get to share, you know, I do. Therefore, I feel like it almost is kind of like a weight off of my chest. I get to share.
For friends that are nervous about speaking, I know we've had a couple of members come over the last couple of months that have popped up on stage.
We've gotten committee members up on stage.
at first, but it's almost addictive. You do it the first time. And when it's with people that
And I know sometimes it can be very nerve-wracking at first, but it's almost addictive. You do it the first time.
you enjoy spending your time with, and there's great things that you want to talk about,
that you have contributions and things that you can share because you're passionate or you also
love them, then we love to hear from you guys. We really do. That's the whole team's intent and
purpose. And the reason why we keep really kind of pushing these community spaces is
eventually we do hope that our,
our community members will utilize these spaces as a tool to help,
be definitely a great place for us to gather,
and then to be able to take that back to the team and say,
this is what we discussed.
And for them to hear that from you guys directly,
you know, the power of voice and word is much more powerful than text. So I'm just saying,
I'm just saying to say, you know, don't be afraid. It's fun. It may be nerve wracking.
Nobody is judging you. We sometimes, I still trip over my own words and I'm like, oh,
I love it because I'm going to
share a little bit. Micro, don't be mad at me. So micro did the space the other day. And, and it's
funny because I do, Oh my gosh, these alpha spaces where there's like 10 communities and everybody's
talking and you're waiting your turn and you're trying to be polite and stay there and be the
whole there the whole time. And you know, you have, you may have a good presentation laid out
and you're going to say this, that, and the other. And then by the time they get to you, you completely draw a blank. You're like,
okay, great. What was I going to say? Oh, I hope my message came across because I had something
really great I was going to say. And then it left me. Um, but again, we're only human. Nobody really
at the end of the day, you know, we may, we may laugh, we may care for a moment and then we move on. So it's not that
big of a deal. Um, but with that, I hope everyone has a great weekend. Um, whether you just came
off of spring break, which I know some of my family did, whether you're going into spring break,
whether you're preparing for Easter or Passover. Um, I just hope that everybody, you know, has a thoughtful, momentous weekend and gets to tap in and to touch base with what it is that makes them, you know, makes them them.
Those are always very, very important.
So at the end of the day, sometimes it is my best to sit and to reflect and to take it all in and, yeah, touch
some grass. So I appreciate you, Michael, always and forever. You are my superstar. And again,
I really appreciate you just really tapping in and touching base and being that connection that
helps not only the team to get and receive the information they need. Um, but for, you know, the committee and the members, um, you know,
you're dependable and that's, you know, one of the things I really,
really appreciate you appreciate about you, friend.
So I hope everyone has a great weekend again,
remember your wise and we'll see you next week.
Awesome. Jesse. Well, thank you. Appreciate the flowers.
And literally, as you were saying, fidget spinner, I'm sitting here with a little spinner in my hand.
It's a little piece of pizza that my daughter gave me.
We have different types of slimes.
And I'm like, ooh, then we can incorporate slimes into a new story.
So I'm just saying. it's definitely out there and i'm telling you friends if you have any ideas any contacts or people that you know
you know that that may be the that's all that we need to kind of put those pieces together and to
get things moving so yeah no it would be terrific um it'd be cool to you know uh i actually i had parent teacher conferences this
week um and learned that you know my daughter takes advantage of uh the fidget toys when she's
there and that her teacher really sees that that's a huge benefit in her being able to pay attention
right i would think that something like that would be a distraction but i'm never in a setting with
her where she's forced to really concentrate for periods of time.
So I didn't even know that about her.
And so that was eye-opening.
But in talking to her, she really takes value in it.
And here you are talking about it this week.
So we are in sync as always.
And yes, this week we did do a space,
Lots of projects we got to learn about.
And I absolutely flubbed it.
and I just could not get my thoughts together.
and I could not get back on track.
a great learning opportunity
because like you said, Jazzy,
we're comfortable in this situation.
I could talk about this stuff all day. With with you guys it feels very comfortable when it's
a new audience or um a community that i don't know it is a little harder even for me for the
all the hours i've put in and as much as i know about this project and so i i challenge myself
and i'm working on um putting together bullet points, right?
Just talking notes, as well as a scripted 90-second pitch, a scripted five-minute pitch.
And once I have those, I want to share them with the committees, right?
And I want to empower everyone.
I want to get the team's approval and say, yes, this is exactly where we're at at this
And this is a great way to break down a very complex ecosystem and a very important onboarding tool for the rest of the space.
And we're not just talking about traits or, you know, collection size or one product that, you know, is very easy to understand in terms of like apparel or consumables or something like that. This is a disruptive technology. And so it's hard to pull all those thoughts together. And even those of us that spend as much time in this space
as we do still struggle to articulate it concisely to new audiences. And so it was a learning
opportunity. I sat back and I was like, I got to be better. I got to make this thing because
we can empower so many more people to go and have that comfort.
And no, you don't want to just read the script.
You want to digest it and understand it.
But at least there is a logical progression as you get through all these different complex things and can link them together.
And maybe there's portions that you leave in for certain audiences and things that you leave out.
And so there will be some learning and,
hopefully have that out next week,
in our moments that aren't our proudest,
there's opportunity and it's just how we respond.
I usually play this when you're here,
Hope you guys have a great weekend,
We will see you next Friday and go get your spins in.
In fact, the itch that made you twitch and sneeze could be an allergy.
From what? The cheese? Quite possibly quite possibly you see sometimes mistakenly the things we please can turn to allergies when our bodies get spooked
and freeze thinking hey aren't we enemies wait stop why the sudden swap well your body job of
playing cop to keep you tip top can go flip flop flip-flop. Now instead of cheese, it's season four that disagrees and attack.
Not necessarily, but sometimes maybe allergies are tricky.
Whether you itch, sneeze, rub your eyes, or struggle to breathe,
you have to do what your body tells you, Drew.
It's the only one you get, so don't forget it.
What if I can't eat ice cream?
There's always not a dairy.
