Hello, just testing, everyone can hear me, just testing.
Hey Alex, yep, can you hear loud and clear?
Let's try to open the chat.
Yeah, I think we're all here and ready to go then, are we not?
Some internet difficulties as well, so I'm just making sure I'm on the Wi-Fi one moment.
Okay. Hello, everyone. We're going to get started. Thank you all for joining. So my name is Alex.
I work with Caduceus on the Caduceus community team. Really excited to be here and joined today by Matt and Jay from MetaRace.
So, you know, maybe we'll start off there and just let you guys introduce yourselves.
You know, Matt, would you like to maybe start off and then I'll pass over to Jay?
Sure thing. Hi there. I'm Matt. Also work with Alex on the Caduceus side of things, among a few other bits and bobs that are going on as well.
But yeah, so I'm on the technology kind of business development side inside Caduceus.
But yeah, happy to be here today talking with MetaRace.
Hi, I'm Jay. I'm from the MetaRace team. I'm on the community lead side of things.
Jay, I don't think we can hear you there, unless it's just me.
Shall I continue or are you trying to fix it?
No, continue. Go for it. I can still hear you. I think everyone can.
Okay, yeah. So as I was saying before, I'm from the MetaRace team.
I'm on the brand development side of things and a community lead.
And I've been in crypto for the last two years.
So yeah, I'm just trying to get more exposure for the game and educate people about our project.
Amazing. Okay, thanks. Alex, you can take it away.
Yeah, absolutely. Sorry, again, I can't hear absolutely anything that's coming from MetaRace.
But if everybody else can hear, I guess that's what's most important.
So you just have to let me know when you're done speaking there.
But no, that's fine. Thank you so much for the introduction, guys.
So, you know, maybe a good way we can start off is to explain a little bit.
Maybe I can ask yourself, Jay, a little bit about MetaRace.
What is MetaRace? If you could explain a little bit about the project.
And again, apologies if you've already said that.
I'm sort of guesstimating what you're saying at the moment.
So, yeah, MetaRace are really excited to be one of the first projects to be deployed on Caduceus blockchain.
And we really felt over at MetaRace that Caduceus could provide our core team with additional tools and expertise in order to launch a fun and enjoyable game,
as well as a continued development through its incubator of investors.
We have launched a lot of mutual marketing campaigns with similar projects on the Caduceus ecosystem that match our ethos and goals for the future.
And furthermore, yeah, we are giving our loyal, you know, loyal cadets, community members from Caduceus.
And our race is a head start by launching giveaways, first come, first serve spots for the IDOs and whitelist spots for Nova holders.
So there's a lot of planned things that we have in the pipeline that we will announce in due time.
Amazing. Sounds great. Thanks for thanks for that.
Yeah. So I think, you know, from the Caduceus side, obviously, we've been we've been having a relationship with MetaRace for some time.
So, you know, we're really excited to see where Game 5 2.0 is kind of heading and where PTE games are going.
Obviously, that's why we've got such a close relationship, I think, at the moment with MetaRace.
But yeah, Alex, maybe back to you so you can you can take on the next question.
Yeah, absolutely. Again, thanks so much, guys.
So, you know, maybe we can get started with the sort of proper questions, get into the Q&A here.
So I guess the first thing we'd really like to speak about is the cooperation with MetaRace and Caduceus.
You know, how did that come about? What does that look like?
You know, whoever would like to start this one off, please do.
But I'm sure the listeners would love to hear a little bit more about that.
Go for it, Jay, and then I'll follow up.
Yep, sure. So I think I answered that already, but I can go over it again.
And so MetaRace is a horse racing play-to-earn game with several utilities.
You can breed, trade and earn on it.
As well as that, we have utilities in real life.
We have a real life racehorse and we have a well-renowned racehorse trainer called Oliver Cole,
who is part of Wakwam Racing, who is basically looking after our little horse
and one day turn him into a champion horse, hopefully, so that all you guys that will get involved into the project
can hopefully have a share in a real life racehorse, which is usually very difficult for someone by themselves
to purchase a horse, you know, if they cost a lot of money.
So the idea with MetaRace is to essentially break barriers and, you know, bring people from all walks of life
into the project and into horse racing and playing a fun and exciting game.
Yeah, thanks. I think it's really interesting to see that, obviously, you're trying to do real-world horse racing as well
and try and mature a horse. I think that's quite interesting and kind of puts some quite strong backing
into the seriousness that you are there with MetaRace.
Obviously, I think it's a great space to be in as well around the P2E game.
It's definitely, you know, an emerging growing space as well.
And I think that's what made a great relationship with Caduceus, which is, you know, two growing businesses
that can bounce off each other and break ground in some new areas.
Yeah. No, that's brilliant. Thanks so much for that, guys.
So the next question really is regarding the Metaverse in general.
Do you guys believe that the Metaverse will improve play-to-earn games?
Of course, MetaRace, especially in this scenario, but I suppose also generally with play-to-earn games.
If I could ask that to yourself, Jay.
Yeah, sure. Excellent question.
I believe that the Metaverse is actually a social activities.
And there's a few developments affecting Web3 gaming, Gamefire 2.0,
that spill over into the Metaverse.
Most Web3 games, as we know, are building their own Metaverses,
a place for players to come together, have fun, be social, engage in content, etc.
But the social aspect of the Metaverse should never be secondary to earning money
because, as we know, there's several play-to-earn games that have outdated models.
So I feel that the Metaverse is, you know, if the player feels like they need to pay-to-play,
often hundreds of dollars, they will only have a single focus,
which is making the money back on their return of interest,
of their return of investment, sorry.
So this kind of takes away from, you know, the gaming experience
and the social experience of what the Metaverse can actually provide.
So I feel like the money-making part of it is a very secondary aspect.
And hopefully all the projects launching on Caduceus will be,
will one day be able to interlink into several Metaverses,
maybe projects building on top of projects and supporting each other.
But yeah, I think that's what the Metaverse is.
I feel like a lot of projects are focusing on play-to-earn models
rather than, you know, the bigger picture of creating relationships
with people around the world.
Yeah, I think I agree with all of that.
I think, you know, obviously the Metaverse is a growing, changing, expanding space.
One of those areas that it expands and evolves on is human interaction, right?
It's just another space where we can interact deeper,
as we've seen with the internet since it's, you know,
public integration and progression since the early 2000s.
So yeah, I think that's definitely one thing.
And where play-to-earn comes into that, it's just an evolution, right?
It's an evolution of gaming inside the space and interaction with inside the space.
And I think a way to keep communities engaged and active is play-to-earn.
I think if you look at some of the other popular games that have been in the traditional gaming space,
there's only a certain longevity that those games will have.
And that's down to, you know, the lifespan of the game
or the content that's there that's available within that game itself.
It doesn't matter whether it's, I don't know, Grand Theft Auto through to another game.
And the content will only be viable as long as there's some play packs
or additional content that keeps the audience engaged.
And I think that's where play-to-earn actually gets quite interesting.
You can start to engage audiences on a different level outside of just raw content.
So yeah, it's quite an exciting space, yeah.
And thanks, Joe, for that.
So I guess to follow up on that, on the sort of metaverse and play-to-earn gaming
and things like that, what do you guys generally think about GameFi 2.0?
Again, if I can point that towards yourself, Jay.
Yeah, brilliant question again, Alex.
Although the GameFi concept is still relatively new,
the switch to play and earn signifies the GameFi 2.0 era, if you will.
Video games are a form of entertainment, as Matt just explained to us.
And monetary rewards should always be secondary in nature, in my opinion.
Of course, this is subject to, you know,
if players join a game for gaming experience
or if they're looking to make money or both.
Which is what MetaRace are trying to do.
We're trying to link both worlds, you know,
make it enjoyable, but also earn some money at it.
Unfortunately, the play-to-earn mechanics
has skewed the concept and created many unsustainable gaming economies.
However, as we've seen with Axie,
it's not, for the GameFi 2.0 era, if you will,
it's not hard for projects to pivot, you know.
We can always introduce new utilities.
As we know, the technology is always improving year on, year on.
And, yeah, with the backing of Caduceus,
I hope that we can develop the game further.
And, you know, with the expertise that they can provide us,
give us the knowledge that we need and, you know,
the support to evolve into GameFi 2.0.
I think, you know, it's really interesting points
about where things are going.
I like the approach that the monetization,
the play-to-earn side of things,
is definitely secondary to the actual game mechanic itself.
And I think that's really important,
that the game has to be engaging, right?
It has to be, you know, an exciting game to actually play with
and something you want to interact with.
I think the play-to-earn side of things
is a bonus on top, definitely.
Great points there, guys.
And I would definitely agree, you know,
that's a massively important part of it
for a play-to-earn game, I think,
is having a game that's actually engaging and enjoyable.
And like you say there, Matt,
having the sort of play-to-earn as a bonus on top
is the way that I think it should be.
So, no, I mean, that's brilliant.
Again, thanks so much for going into detail
and answering that for us, guys.
So, I guess what I'd like to know is,
is there any exclusive bullish news
that you can share with us or with the market investor?
Again, it'd be great to hear from both of you on this,
but if I could start with yourself, Jay,
any exclusive bullish news for us?
Yes, we have so much news
that we've currently had over the last week or so.
But we're delighted to, therefore, announce
that we've launched a new growth campaign for our project
with giveaway competitions open to all.
With your help of the Caduceus community
and any other listeners that are tuning in today,
we want to spread the word
and bring more followers to our amazing community and project.
And we're backing it up with huge rewards,
equivalent to almost $5,000.
So, yeah, guys, get involved.
we have 10 Genesis Horse NFTs,
over on a Medium article across our socials.
We've launched a campaign on October the 7th,
which, yeah, it's a 10-day growth campaign.
So, hopefully, we get good interaction
and, you know, grow from that.
We have our IDEO coming tomorrow,
And, yeah, if you automatically enter into the draw,
you get the chance of winning a Meta Race Genesis Horse NFT,
which is the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto,
which I know a few people are eager about.
we've got a meme competition
our community members can get creative.
All you have to do is create a meme token of,
And you get the chance of going into a prize pool
And then we're giving out $1,000 Meta again
just to join our socials.
So, there's so many gleams and partnerships
and there's so many opportunities
for people to start collecting Meta
into their MetaMask wallets
or whatever wallet you're using
so you can get a head start
before the game actually launches.
So, you'll have Meta ready to race
and you might have a few NFTs
which you can do whatever you want with them.
Of course, you can trade,
you can do a lot of things with them.
over the last month or so.
You know, we've had three already
This would be our fourth one.
So yeah, hopefully it goes smoothly.
some of that news is amazing.
where you've got another IDO
that are launching sound fantastic.
some big things coming up
on more exchanges for CMP.
for the social channels there.
And as we continue to grow,
we're bringing more projects
and some very interesting things
So some very exciting stuff there too.
All sounds very exciting.
and MetaRace announcements
to make sure you don't miss out
on all these exciting things
and we'll actually open up
for some of our listeners
So I can see there's a few people
here that have requested.
for both of our guests here
and maybe we can start up
But what are the next plans
And then when you're done,
same question to yourself, Matt.
So I'll leave that to you, Jay.
We have more partnerships
So we're just giving back
in the last recent month.
rendering side of things.
and generate CMP token rewards
hit that notification bell
So let's have a little look.
taking a while to connect
Let's go for somebody else.
that hasn't worked either.
Can you hear you loud and clear?
interesting things coming
while you're inside the game,
those things that you've done,
people that you've interacted with
I'd like to see that the,
that data be able to be used
and leveraged by multiple games.
I think I would love to see
And then you have the ability
to blend stuff between games.
if you complete certain achievements
but that can also carry over
I think that's really exciting
if we can get to that place.
And just kind of branching off
from what Matt just said.
the efforts that so many blockchains
to incentivize broader adoption
with technology improving,
we'll be able to interlink
several games with each other
and then you've got to spend
more money on another game
That's a very good explanation.
your sustainability plans
Were you able to hear that?
the price of these tokens
you can own a race course
involved in and thirdly I
Twitter we're always open
yeah we want to build this
Yeah nothing to add to me
one I think Jay covered it
Caduceus is doing its own
