Thank you. Thank you. Good afternoon, everybody. My name is Declan. I will be hosting this week's Alpha Leaks.
Alex unfortunately is unavailable, but he will be back next week to continue with the normal
updates. Now there are a few things I'd like to go through today, starting of course with
Berry. So the Berry swap powered by Near Intense is now making traction.
For those of you who aren't aware, Strawberry actually started as an AI project about the
beginning of last year and Aurora is working with them primarily on two verticals. So we've
obviously got Near Intense which they've integrated into their Berry Swap solution. BerrySwap is a chat GPT-like tool
that lets you execute transactions using simple text.
The second area, of course, is around the BerryChain itself,
and that's still under development,
and we're still working with them closely.
But I definitely suggest keeping an eye on this
as they are frequently updating it, enhancing it,
and making it easier to use.
Moving on next, we actually have an update on the forwarder.
The forwarder tool is now
officially available within the Cloud Console.
when a chain was launched through the console,
it would actually take us two,
three, sometimes even four or five days to
integrate the forwarder directly into that virtual chain.
With this release, it's now automatic,
which means within seconds of a chain being deployed,
the forwarder is available, meaning any users that
interact with your chain can now bring their stables
or other assets directly from major centralized exchanges
like Binance, Coinbase, Gate.
So this is just another step in our mission
to fully automate the virtual chain process and make it much easier for everybody to use.
Moving on from there, Alex, of course, this week hosted an AMA with Near Mobile.
So for those of you who are not able to tune in, I definitely recommend taking the time to have a listen.
So the Near Mobile team have now integrated Near Intense directly into their mobile wallet.
So this is going to allow for seamless swapping and deposits from within the wallet itself.
They also discussed the general roadmap and the future of Near Intense, which as you know,
is something that our team along with the wider Near ecosystem are working on, you know,
very much. So I do recommend checking that out. Now, whilst I'm talking about Near Intense, it's also a good time to remind everybody that if you're using Aurora Pass, the wallet built by our team, you're also able to interact directly with the Near Intense from that wallet as well.
It's one of the best UX led wallets in the market today.
Plus, of course, you get the 50 free transactions each month, allowing you to use Aurora Pass to interact with a range of tokens or virtual chains like TurboSwap. Moving on from there, we have Hot Wallet. So Hot Wallet
have now launched their browser extension. Hot Wallet are one of the leading projects in the
Web3 space. They've got over 10 million users. As many of you know, previously it was a Telegram
only wallet. This browser extension represents the next chapter
in what Hot Wallets are trying to achieve
in their successful journey so far.
This extension also means that any of you
are now able to interact with any of the dApps
on Aurora mainnet directly from your browser.
Moving on to some updates on the wider NIR ecosystem,
NIR and Circle have actually just announced their investment
into a fintech company called Abound.
Now, Abound provide remittances to over half a million users.
They facilitate money transfers, over $150 million in volume.
This investment is great for Near and the wider ecosystem.
It's going to help onboard half a million people
into our ecosystem ecosystem which of course
will bring liquidity, activity, new opportunities. If you haven't had a chance to see what Abound are
up to and how they're going to be working with NIR, there are going to be more updates on this
in the coming kind of weeks and months and you can of course also check out their application
and see if it's something that's going to be useful for you. Moving back to Aurora itself, a small update on our side.
We have a quiz tonight on our Discord channel at 5pm.
For those of you that aren't aware, we have a new reputational token called Kudos.
Basically, it is our way of rewarding community members
that are providing a positive impact to our ecosystem.
And tonight's quiz is going to be a great opportunity to be able to snag some more of
those kudos and work towards that kind of position on the leaderboard. Now, they're kind of the main
updates in terms of the wider ecosystem. But given I'm presenting today, I also wanted to
kind of take the opportunity to discuss
what's going on within the growth team and some of the things that we're going to be
working on over the next few weeks and months as well.
There's no tweets or anything for me to share, but I still think it's useful to kind of pass
So first things first, I'm pleased to share that we've actually just onboarded a new
person to head up our partnerships efforts.
So this is going to be fantastic for us.
You're going to start seeing a host of new integrations
and announcements for the Aurora Cloud Console.
I'm working with the team on it.
There's some pretty exciting conversations already
ongoing that are going to greatly boost the value
and the usability of our virtual chains,
and of course, kind of our wider product suites and ecosystem.
In addition to that, we're really ramping up on our events. So myself and the team are going to be heading to a number of events over
the next few months including Paris Blockchain Week, Token 2049. We actually have a side event
at Token 2049 so if you are attending please be sure to come by and speak to the team. I'm going
to be participating in a number of panels covering
everything from AI to the future of RWAs. So assuming you haven't got bored of hearing my
voice in the past 10 minutes, you can treat yourselves to that as well. I'm just going to
have a little look now for any questions, but that does kind of round up the key updates for
Alpha Weeks this week. Bear with me. Let's have a quick look.
Okay, so we have a question here from Non-LifeTaker. What updates can you tell us about
Aurora Cloud and what can we expect? Yeah, so some of the updates I talked about today, so for
example, the forwarder being natively integrated is one of those the hiring of our head of partnerships is another step to really make aurora cloud more robust um what i can tell you
is we've got a number of kind of work streams that are ongoing at the moment um one of those is what
i kind of call the product verticalization stream and what we're basically doing here is bringing in
key partners that are experts at what they do to enhance the
virtual chains themselves and that's not necessarily just going to be technical or
infrastructure right it might be something like support with fundraising support with marketing
access to liquidity legal support these partners are experts in what they do and they're able to
help in those areas in ways that we can't.
So what you're going to be seeing, and I'm not sure if I can share it or not, but you're going to be seeing the emergence of a new marketplace within the Aurora Cloud console.
Basically going to allow you to choose the partners that you want.
And these won't just be kind of standard partnerships where you click through and speak to a random person. These will be partnerships that ensure that virtual chain users get maximum value, that the people you're speaking to will already be
fully up to speed on what we do and how we do it. And of course, outside of that, we're also
continuing to kind of enhance and upgrade the Aurora Cloud product itself. So yeah, I hope I've
answered that question there. Let me have a quick look and see if there's anything else.
So we have a question here from CC. Make staking access easy in Aurora Wallet.
Yeah, so the Aurora Wallet is something that actually we've been talking about internally
quite a bit recently. We're currently kind of figuring out the best way to continue enhancing
the Aurora Pass app. For those that remember, we released some changes last year with the portfolio,
a slight rebranding of it. And of course, now that we have kind of the near intense side of things
as well, we're exploring how we can best leverage these. I mean, we've seen obviously that near
mobile have integrated near intense directly um aurora pass
obviously allows kind of some facilitation there but yeah in terms of staking that's something um
you know that has been discussed and has come up and i would say keep an eye uh on kind of future
alpha leaks updates to see what's coming there and i think that's everything from our side so
short and sweet um i wish everybody a great weekend I hope everybody has a
good week and I look forward to seeing you all next week where Alex will be back and giving the
normal updates on behalf of Aurora thank you very much Thank you.
