Hey guys, so sorry it drugged. I was like what happened? What happened? I get rugged down and I get up again. You're never gonna keep a drug. Oh man, it happens to the best of us. It happens to the best of us. Let's everybody
a retweet the room. We got a warm this puppy back up. I'm making a post about how I contributed to Shamba Network right now and I'm going to shout out the space too. So much love. Alright, doing the co-hosty thing. Yes, let's grow. Let's grow. Yeah, go ahead. Solar Punch
killed. This is with again and yeah so first of all we are working to coordinate better the GitCon radio and one thing that I want to share that any trouble you will have in the next spaces just can't
the solar panel on the Twitter page because here we will share always that active space. So in case like I mean attack Shamba was very fast, started a new space but maybe people they don't know they are not
table. So in case you are not able to start a new space, we will start one for you. And as soon as you started, we'll give you maybe five minutes, something like that. So we are now sharing the rules in our telegram. After five minutes, if you are
not able to do that. We will do it instead if you do it, we share it in the solar panel. So we have an attraction point that is the solar panel. Twitter accounts so everybody can just go there and stay online. Yeah. So
How did I contribute to build the solar bank yield? Was it the question attack?
Yes, yes it was and then also how did the radio, the Gidcon you read your come about because I think that's really really awesome initiative and it's really really cool actually the organization and I know it's quite difficult quite challenging it would be but it's really turned out really well. So I guess I was out
Okay, I will answer to the first part of the question and then the second part of the question I will leave it to Jimmy and as for the solar pan guild I'm as you know I'm a co-founder of a couple of other projects so our first project is the solar pan nomads and we are
I co-founded it with Markubair last year about April, so about one year. I presented it in GitCon Grants and then during one of our grants run that was September, we realized that we found
ourself in the Trita space because magic happens always in the Trita spaces. I found myself with the other founder that is Marco Bair here too in Anauberto from Urbanaica and it was not a very successful space somehow there were no other people there were just the five of us
But it was very successful because we started to have a very meaningful conversation about the importance of being focused on building community and learning about public good funding, even outside the Git-Concrane spirit. And so the Solar Bangil was born. We decided to do
networking group to keep that tension, keep learning, keep networking even outside the GitCon Grand Purit. And we took a couple of months to think collectively about the idea, then we presented it in November and long story short.
But we are now 60 or 70, probably builder strong. And we are a bit crazy because we launched crazy things like the last time our big coordination effort was the marathon. So we did a 12 hour marathon that
help the Gitcoin community to raise $2.5,000 more in the out-of-round, specifically going to the small project. And now it's our biggest coordination challenges Gitcoin radio. But I have to let Jimmy talk about that.
because he's the proposer and the lead on this project. So we just said yes, it is a good idea. Personally, I was very doubtful because it's very a big challenge. But Jimmy's probing me were wrong and the coordination is going on smoothly. So Jimmy, back to you.
We did it fam, you know, it's definitely was not without its challenges, right? Trying to get everyone to not just create the spaces, but also tweet the spaces and put the link to the spaces and the spreadsheet of the space. That was a whole big challenge. And by the way, that reminds me, but we did it. We did it in the end.
You got to put this new space tweets in the spreadsheet. So someone please do that. And let's make sure solar punk guild is always pinning the current Twitter space on their page. That's going to be an essential thing. But yeah, I'm going to post this in the
Refi Vents calendar as well so that we have a daily post with all the different spaces links in there. But if people are unsure if there's a rugging, then they'll also know to check the pen of Soul of Punk Guild. So we're doing it, fam. A lot of collaborations are happening. A lot of amazing
Light is being shined on these different impactful projects, but I love to see it. It's very much climate-round focused, which I guess is a good thing to shine light on, but at the same time, it's also good to maybe cross-pollinate audiences. So some way we can improve maybe like, trying to, because I think actually the open
source rounds are significantly bigger to the climate round and the DC round. So yeah, maybe cross-pollination and trying to reach those audiences, inviting them in. I think we should be posting maybe in the like the Gidcoin discord for example and promoting the space there because a lot of people hang out there and we're just chilling on Twitter space.
So I think it's it's it's very much acceptable But but yeah, yeah, yeah, let's grow ladies and gentlemen. I'm going to also this tree gin and shine a bit of light on that but before we do let's get to D.C.I. Africa. How we doing D.C.I. Africa?
Hello good morning everyone. I'm James. We're feeling peachy. Yeah, how's everyone going? Feeling peachy? Oh peachy. Like some peachy. Yeah. Are these peachy? Yeah, you're ready to pitch us because we're ready for your pitch my friend.
It's a community of decentralized science based in Africa. So there are a couple of different regional design communities like this I learned on this I use this I took you to so these are like regional communities that try to spread their way and also
centralized science because it's like a new field in the blockchain space which has a lot of potential especially in science because it's focused on science and seeing how blockchain can be used to solve the problems faced with traditional science in in the contents of funding
collaboration, open science, making science more efficient. So, and like, like now for example, there are a couple of projects that are spinning up in the design sectors. We have projects like Vita Dow, Lab Dow, and a couple of Athena Dow to
a couple of thousand, one-dour projects, so they are doing a lot of things. So we are, this is Africa, I'm trying to make sure that the people from this part of the continent are not being left out in the global conversation, but we have a community where we are engaging their making content
basically because we are correctly focused on the education part because a lot of people do not know what decentralized science is. So we are trying to use as much channels as we can to reach out to them and let them know what centralized science is all about. So most times you go to conferences, we engage in collaborative talk to that space
with other communities in the sector. We also write medium articles where we explain things and help people understand things better. So yeah, so we are looking to use the money from this beta grant to launch our website so we could have all our blog
in like one place where people can easily come and assess and also to continue for the admission in spirit awareness and being available like the conferences that are going to happen this year around Africa as much as we can and also make cool match for our community people so yeah.
That's awesome. Thanks so much for that. Jimmy, yeah, over to you are quite interested in terms of like, especially what you're working on. Really especially
So, basically the NFT thing that you have, really, really awesome, very, very creative and vibrant. So, I would love to also learn about that as well. Yeah, open mic over to you.
Thank you, fam. I appreciate you saying that. And by the way, if I rugged an point from cutting out, just give me a thumbs down. I promise not to be offended. I'll just switch from internet to cellular. But yes, you're referring to the tree gins. So the tree gins, we want to do things different, want to do things a little bit more, you know, innovative than most, you know,
you know, typical NFT projects and we also want to really engage people in the climate crisis and solving these problems of regeneration. So, you know, that I personally broke the World Record for most trees planted in the day was 20,000, 60,000 to 25,000, 244. But now, what we're going to do
that officially with Guinness before it was just with our AI tree counter. Now our next goal is to break the world record for any number of people. Currently it's set by Ethiopia. They did 355 million trees in a day. Now that was just one country. Imagine if the whole world can come together to plant trees to make a positive impact.
If we can galvanize the globe through a movement, well in order to do that, we're going to need to allocate funds, we're going to need to incentivize people, we're going to need to motivate people and unite everyone. So that's what really the tree gins initiative is about. And the way that we're doing that, first of all, to solve the transparency problem to allocate funds towards this is, well, first of all, we've#
So all the trees are funded on chain and it's a stable coin. It's 10 cents per that's how much it costs the plant to mangrove tree and then every mangrove tree moves 8 to 10 times the amount of carbon. Now you also get non-fungible updates. So you get a video that's air dropped to your wallet which is an NFT. So it's non-fungible with GPS coordinates in the meta
data and an AI tree counter, which counts exactly how many trees have been planted. It's overlaid on top of the video and you're sent that as another digital asset. So now you see here the little baby tree gen in the audience. It has two orbs, the mind orb, the heart orb. So the mind orb gets brighter, the more trees tokens that you buy.
Um, can I want to hear Jimmy? Uh, is, is, is metallic.
Yeah, okay, okay. Jimmy, you bet.
No, Jimmy is not back yet. We'll go over to LUNCO. Welcome LUNCO. Hey, hey, welcome everyone from our heaven's scene today. I just have a quick update. I'm shooting straight from Copenhagen, the hospital. I just had my wounds.
Dressing and today is finally happened and nurse suggested me to smoke weed as a pain killer Finally I was waiting for that for a long time like weed as a drug so it's official I have to smoke weed to deal with my pain cool cool
And yeah, by the way, it's legal and Thailand, so I'm not violating any rules. It's completely okay. It's just really funny to hear from the nurse in the hospital suggestion to smoke some weed.
Let's all up on go ahead. A rod please don't use the motorbike after smoking weed please.
They're on fortune in not so many options and now I'm driving much more careful and now when I'm driving I'm actually thinking about driving not about get going
I'm Jim Aiebrecht.
Okay, no, the treatment is really really cool. The NFTs look really incredible. Especially like the hard thing. I really like that. Like the more trees you plant, like the more the glowing in the heart, I think that's really really dope. Welcome to Lunko. Lunko, tell us a little bit
Thank you for your project. Happy, always happy to tell about Lunca Project. Thanks to Greta for helping with the value proposition for the world's platform. Lunca is an open source platform for industrial and
engineering focused on knowledge exchange. If you are working with a hardware of if you know people who work with hardware it would be amazing if you could connect with them because most probably they would understand the benefits of long car as yesterday.
I've jumped on a call with the guys from Climedcheck and they are working on sensors and they really appreciate the long course, they're really waiting for it because it addresses a lot of issues related to the processes of development
of hardware. Basically, when you develop something, you have like if you have a subcontractor who would manufacture a part for you, you have to like at some point in time you'll send back and forth tons of emails with updates in the design, the technical drawing and all that stuff.
It's really crazy, like for example, if a your manufacturing appard that could and the to manufacture a part could cost a couple of K, a couple of thousands of K and if you had if they use the wrong version not the latest one, you'll have to do everything again. So it's quite
The goal of Lunke is to provide a medium for exchange of information for engineers, hopefully to speed up the development process, to increase efficiency and significantly reduce amount of wasted parts.
Back to you Shambha.
Thanks so much for that really cool man. Welcome Trigian, Jimmy. Yo, yo, it's me. Sorry, I don't know why space is being rugged lately. But we back, we back. Sorry about that. So I appreciate the kind words you were talking about the orbs and how it's dynamic in two different
different ways, trees that you fund or trees that you plant. And the reason why we picked the heart, because it's out of your heart that you choose to go out and plant trees. And it's kind of from your mind that you choose to fund our trees token, because we're also rewarding people for finding the trees token. So we're leveraging something called carbon forwards, which is basically
Basically, working with impact investors since the last round we partnered with a blue sphere carbon to develop some innovative technology and also to line up impact investors for carbon forwards. And basically what they're going to do is look, if we were to plant a mangrove tree today, right, it'll take 25 years to fully sequester roughly 308 kilograms of carbon and that happens
according to a bell curve. So first five years, not that much sequestration, not that much reinvestment back into regeneration. That should really be the point of carbon credits. Ideally, you're using those carbon credits to fund even more trees and make more impacts. But there's a big time delay there, and that's a significant problem that we're solving with carbon forwards.
And you know, cost is about 10 cents to each mangrove tree and that's with a partnership with four trees club and You know they're again three hundred kilograms of carbon which means it costs about 32 points something cents to actually plant enough trees to eventually sequester one ton of carbon right now you can sell a carbon for not twenty thirty dollars once the
a carbon credit, but at a reduced rate, say $6. That's still an order of magnitude more than what it costs to plant, about 19x more, about 50% of that is going towards sustainability programs in order to give these kind of investors that kind of assuridness to invest that far out for the carbon credits. We do something called tree insurance, so we'll plant
in various different locations in case anything happens to the trees that they funded. We have these other backup trees, which will be the credits that we'll get in the future and different sustainability programs. But we also dedicate a portion of our carbon-forward revenue towards backing these trees tokens, which will have liquidity pools, and then we'll be airdrop to the holders.
such that they can get rewarded for this. Right now, our economy values degeneration of nature a lot more than that values regeneration of nature. We're trying to change that with the Treeshands Initiative. It's a dynamic semi-solbound token. Because the most successful NFT projects get the majority of the revenue from the resales
not from the initial mint. And so you can still trade the art, right? But what's non-transferable are these impact metrics. So whichever NFT you decide to use your profile picture or connect to our app will actually have those impact metrics overlaid on top of it. So you can't claim, oh, I planted a million trees when really
you weren't the one who did that. So this is really like your impact represented in your DSST dynamic semi-sold out token. First of it's kind of and that's what we're building with Blue Spirit Carbon. And yeah, I think I covered all the bases. Go ahead. Mr. Sola Punk. Dow himself.
Hi, do you know what, Karsh? Yo, what's happening brother? Good buddy, see you in the spaces man. Yo man, I think I'm just getting charged up. We have a space in like the next 18, 18, 19 minutes. So yeah, but, but I was just, I raised my hands to the point where you said there is a semi-soluble
and you sell the art and you dole sell the impact but do you do you think it could also make sense if like you created all that impact and then there was a value for that impact and maybe at some point if I wanted to like just buy that impact of you that does that
That kind of makes sense. It could make sense for you to plant truth. I think if it was just funding trees, then it could also make sense, a particular presence. It's also like planting trees. It's a signal to the world. That's one of the things, one of the reasons why people buy NFTs and what there is people buy anything.
item of clothing to say something about themselves right and that's why soulbound tokens in the first place is like what is the impact that you specifically made right now our goal our next goal is to break the world record for most trees planted in a day by any number of people right so we're growing this community of regenerators all across the world
And we're making it gamified right so we're having lead up leaderboards and we're gamifying it and so for people to have these pfps with their hearts getting brighter It's saying something about who they are and how many trees they have planted and we're making that gamified so for you to be able to go in and just buy someone else's thing It's not really a game anymore. It's more just like oh
Yeah, he bought it like you know what I mean or maybe you're claiming something which isn't really true So the heart orb in particular is really important for it to be non-transferible And that's why we decided to make it a semi-soulbound token But by the way our structure You know is is not just to make you know something a profit actually from from any of these resales or even
the initial mint. What we do is we put 50% of the mint towards regenerating trees and the other 50% goes towards a Dow Treasury which all holders will be able to vote how we can impact and invest those funds to grow the Dow Treasury but also to support all of our projects. Because I've done 285 episodes of Max Impact
So far and a lot of people who come through our builders right look like all of you right you'll have something that is impactful that could use an investment and so that's what we're putting the resale from the men and also 50% from the initial meant towards and then we have another separate company which is a limited liability partnership which is basically handling all of the carbon
four deals. We're able to work with investors to inject capital into regeneration, to self-featured value of carbon, and to reinvest back into regeneration in order of magnitude. 100,000 trees is only eight carbon-forward deals away from over five trillion trees. If we can have these carbon-forward deals,
line up and just reinvest back in the tree and that's our full intention for a very long time is just to reinvest back into regeneration that we can scale these trees to the moon baby all the way to the loonco and we're gonna make a lot of regeneration happen man so yeah that's the
reason why we did that is really to build a movement and I'm third generation Viterian and we also have all these Rotoract clubs. We did a bit of a pilot this recent Earth Day to unite multiple districts of Rotoract clubs. So 355 million trees sounds like a ridiculous goal, especially since we so far we've, you know, with four trees club but I'm also the co-founder. We've done about
650,000 mangroves, which is nice, but not three or fifty five million, right? But if you break it down, it's actually a very doable goal. So, you know, of the 40 countries where there are currently mangrove trees growing, there are more than 50 rotor at clubs in each. Okay. So if we can get 50 rotor at clubs or NGOs, a combination of
either or regeneration groups, people who want to plant trees, right? 50 clubs in 40 countries to each get 50 people to get together to plant 3.6 thousand trees and since it's mangroves that only takes like four hours or so. Then you multiply that out and that's 360 million, right? So it's actually very, very doable.
If we coordinate on a larger scale and the tree gins DSST is just one of the ways that we're going to be rewarding these regenerators. Those are the ones they're going to plant the trees, they're going to film the videos, they're going to upload, we're going to tree count, we're going to upgrade their orb, give them some utility, but then also reward them with a portion of those carbon forward deals.
So that's the 3D Gen's thing. I'm going to pin something up to the jumbo tron here. If you could give us a die, that'd be amazing. We'd really appreciate it. It's going to make a massive impact if gas fies are out of reach. Just add it to the cart. And when you go to give your next batch of donations, we would very much appreciate and much love.
So wait, I'm gonna give some shout out to people in the audience, especially the refrived projects in the audience. We'll start off with Atlantis. Atlantis doing some really awesome stuff, especially in India, doing some really cool stuff in terms of, you know, creating a platform for
for founders, entrepreneurs and for farmers, doing some really awesome stuff. Our fight is going on in NFT collection and they're going to be planting 100,000 trees in Tanzania, which is really, really cool.
They're going to be putting up with with Treeshen as well to plant those trees I believe I hope I'm not wrong. I Walker has a project in Uganda and they are training rule farmers and indigenous communities
communities on regenerative agriculture and practices and also planting trees at schools and health centers and stuff like that, particularly engaging young people and children in these activities which is really fantastic.
actually has really awesome photos and showing some of the activities that are actually working on. Anna from Koko Dow drinks really awesome stuff in Colombia in terms of give for a station and training local
communities. Yeah, so really, really awesome stuff that are happening in the community. And yeah, so so exciting. We're going to, so how would Jimmy, how does this thing work in terms of moving over to the other space? We would love to actually have everyone move over to pronounce, pronounce is
having the next space and I think you're looking at all go there as I was no wait who pushed you said you were next so what's your next one okay I'm going after enough all you have to plan up okay so here's what
We do all right. There's a video tutorial on this I sent you but basically what you got to do you know how to share a tweet and pin a tweet Yes, yes, all right. So what you got to do is Well, you could open up the spreadsheet on your phone right find this link which is there tap the link. Brute now it's open and
And when now they have the tweet you tap the share button those three circles with the line through it to the right of a view count. Then you once you've tapped that it's the very tippy top now you don't have to pin so what you're going to do is you're going to pin to the top until everybody to leave this space onto the next. That's how we transition. Okay.
the back and you guys see it? It pins a whole tweet is that fine? Yeah yeah that's fine I mean what I would have done is I would scroll down for next time and just pin the actual space so it's just really easy people just go straight to the space I just did that but oh he hasn't he hasn't started it yet
So we encourage people to start 10 minutes early. That's the right. Maybe he's gonna start around on time. So we won't tell people obviously to go there until he actually starts this space. So he hasn't done that yet. So. Oh, good. Yeah, I'll just keep chit chatting in here. And yeah, you mentioned fighters gang in our collaboration there. So it's four trees club that's actually
actually doing the tree planting, that's the tree planting or that I'm close founder of, but tree gens is handling all the web three sides. So when it comes to non-fungible updates, right, so sending the videos, the trees, and the AI tree counter overlaid as an actual
update NFT to the holders. That's what TreeGens is building automations for to kind of make that process really smooth to send out those NFTs and get it into the wallets of the holders. So we've done that for Fighters gang. We are going to be doing that for Fighters gang. We've already done it for Ecosapians. You probably heard Ecosapians. They did 2000 trees with us. They're about
to do a bunch more. There's a bunch of projects. Carbon Counting Club is doing this with us. So we're really trying to just open source to the extent that we can, this concept of non-fungible updates and make it available for different projects so that, you know, now holders get another digital asset, right? They get
this kind of eco credit which is you know proving that these trees were planted so to say go ahead fighters gang GM GM we are fighters gay how are you man good buddy we haven't even done 24 hour can you guys just let this sink in we're not even an 11th
of the way. We haven't even done a day yet. It feels like we've been going for so long. We have not even done one day. It's hilarious. We haven't even done a day. Not everyone has had a chance to host. It's going to be good though. We're going to get more momentum, you know, because like what builds like spaces, attendance is consistent.
see. You know what I'm saying? So like when you keep showing up at the same time every day, people start to remember that, oh, Shamba does it this time. Oh, Flat is getting it this time. And they're just going to know to come to your page and do that. So like I guarantee you like a weekend, we're going to get more and more momentum. And this thing's going to really seem real. But we're all#
to be putting things into the official Gidcoin events calendar which I'm going to do right now. I'll let you guys speak so that I can focus on that. Go ahead, fight is getting here. Just put your elevator pitch. Yeah, you know, hello everyone. I'm standing in the fund of Fighters gang. Fighters gang is
one-off-one NFT collection that started in 2022 and this collection is one-off-one collection there are four characters in this collection symbols of Musa and their animals in the world. Polar bears, Alipanguens, Chitas and wind turtles.
And we're going to donate 50% of this collection to plant through its unrefered restoration. The cheapest and most effective way to fight climate change. And for this reason, we partnered with the Fortis Club and through this collaboration,
The whole LERS will receive a utility, a non-fungible updates, a video of AI-training, AI-counting, as NFTs sent to their ballots. And yeah, this is us.
That's the way we are fighting climate change and We we are trying to bring art as a utility and for this reason we we don't go for the Generative arts or maybe AI arts instead we
design and create every NFT again and again and again one NFT in one day to bring rarity and art as a utility for all folders thank you so much Shamba Jimmy three yen everyone here cool thanks so much
the slide is going. I'm pronouncing this open space. This is going to go to solar pancouple before we go move over there. I'm so sorry to a couple of people who have not picked the project, but it's going to be an opportunity over there anyway. So it's not going to be a problem. You walk up, for example.
Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, I just wanted to give some instruction for a smooth transition to the new space and the plan have already shared the link in the jumbo train and the space is already on. So everybody moves to the next space following the link.
And in case anything goes wrong, you will find the link of the new space, new active space in the solar panel, Twitter feed. And the Shamba you wait, I will wait for you for the next 5-10 minutes until everything is mutant stable in the other space.
Thank you. No worries. Thanks so much for that. So everyone, thank you for tuning in and just continuing by going up on there's a pin tweet here. You go in there. It was enough room. So you just go in that room, please. And then we'll follow you guys after that. So yeah. Thank you so much, everyone.
Let's go, let's go, let's grow. Get out of here onto the next, to the next.
Everybody get out of here switch get out of here sunny Atlanta's D.S.I.S.I.D. World leaving fam far left. We're going to pranum space. Let's grow for a nov in the house
We still wait a few minutes, we can check until the space is stable there and be assured that we is not trapped.
No problem at all. Thank you so much, Saurapunc and Jimmy as well for helping out today. That was really cool. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, it's our job and our pleasure attack and
We are making it better and we are learning from the experience of the first 20 hours and it's going as mootier as mootier. Jimmy, can you confirm the other space is on and stable?
Maybe using Moji Jim because you are using your account for Trision Trision Yeah, yeah, it's the two forms I have only one and but I'm asking maybe Jimmy is listening
to here. So let me do it. No, he's the one he's a he's a stringent which is one he was working before. He's listening now and then the other one doesn't work which is a speaker. Okay. So I was saying that like if you can use an emoji like a thumb
up a module or something like that. Openness. But it's not reacting. It's taking a nap. It's taking a nap but the space seems stable.
Yeah, anyway, how you doing? You are in Australia or in the South Africa now.
I'm actually in Australia at the moment. I'm not in Africa yet, but the team is in Africa, Kennedy, Sam, and some of the other guys. And then me and Ced is in India, but I'm in Australia.
Are you stable in Australia? Do you plan to go back to Kenya? I actually do plan. I will do plan to go back to Kenya. I'm not really from Kenya. I've lived in Kenya before though.
But I'm originally from South Sudan, but I really love to go back to Africa. Particularly Kenya and to help out with Shambho and a little bit more, especially as the team do some on-ground.
pilots and engagement with communities and farmers and yeah and and so we love to be involved in that aspect of of Shamba. Yeah. How's Italy going? Italy is going fine.
We are waiting for some rain, we had very little rain in the last two years, so we had bit worried, no much snow this winter and we are afraid that we will be a very torrid summer because the indications are
that will be very warm and the economy is not going great. But yeah, we struggle on and we can't complain. There are places where it's much more challenging to live.
So yeah, for sure, for sure. And I think that's the biggest thing like even here in Australia, this economy is not doing too good like this inflation, this you know high cost of living. But I think we have a better you know you look at some of the you know
countries especially in developing world and doing much, much tougher than us and so yeah we just we just have to be grateful and try to you know continue to I guess you know
do things that to increase our participation in the community, mobilizing each other and helping each other.
Yeah, in that respect to to weather's home, I guess so you are totally right. Let's close the space we can leave it but we had one at the end.
for sure for sure. Thanks so much. I really appreciate your support today. See you there. Ciao, Ataq. All right. Bye-bye. See you next space.
