I think I just put out the tweet thing.
Maybe we'll see how this goes.
I'm actually going to invite you just a little bit.
And boom, because there's, we don't have a spot.
I've got a spot on OVR and I don't know that you have anything on display yet over there.
And I feel like you should.
Like, I feel like, and I don't know if we just missed it in conversation somewhere.
But yeah, I feel like you're supposed to be involved in this whole thing.
Hi, that hip hop thing you've been doing.
You've been streaming stuff in the spatial, I see.
While we're, while we're just getting kicked off.
Can you, and this is recorded anyways.
So the very first topic we have here, dude, let's talk about all the stuff you've been doing, streaming and all those other things.
Yeah, what's going on, dude?
Yeah, it's been a little busy lately.
But yeah, we started to kick this thing off with the Rat Mints NFT, where they do a Twitter space twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
And I kind of jumped into their Twitter space and the title of their Twitter space was like, you know, how do we, basically, how do we get into Web3?
And I kind of approached them.
I was like, you know, basically, let's just do this show, but in the metaverse, you know.
Took a little bit of explaining and stuff, but, you know, they were on board.
They were like, all right, fuck it, you know, let's try it.
Sorry for swearing on your recorded thing.
But yeah, basically, like, getting them all set up with their avatars on spatial.
And I put together a place and, you know, put all their PFPs up all over the place and, you know, like, links to their stuff.
They're selling, basically, music on Cardano, which I really don't know a thing about Cardano.
I got to kind of study up on it and figure that out.
Yeah, but basically, it's like, you know, it's a show.
It kind of goes back and forth.
They'll just shoot the shit, you know, kind of talk about different stuff, Web3, how to record, how to get your music out there, that kind of thing.
And then it's usually pretty cool.
Like, usually at some point in time in the show, it just turns into, like, you know, kind of live freestyle where, like, different rap, hip-hop artists will come into the room and, you know, ask, like, can I, you know, can I get up and say something?
And, you know, and it's really cool because it just kind of, like, naturally happens.
And then they'll end up being, you know, half hours straight of just freestyle, which I think is really cool, man.
And, yeah, basically pumping that Twitter space directly into a spatial space so you've got a big screen with, you know, everyone's PFPs and stuff.
You can see who's talking.
And, yeah, you know, shooting some videos in there.
The whole idea is, like, A, start throwing, like, little concerts in there, but also to start making, like, little music videos, you know what I mean, where anybody, any aspiring hip-hop artist with a phone, you know, can hop into one of these places, you know, do some freestyle, do whatever, have their buddy kind of record it.
And there you go, man, there's a little music video for you to throw it on TikTok or Instagram or YouTube.
And I haven't gotten a ton of people actually into the rooms yet, you know.
It's, like, I've lined it up perfectly with, like, the McDonald's Lunar New Year thing.
So it's, like, haven't had a huge crowd.
Like, we had one good night where there was a solid crowd, a lot of people dancing.
And, but, yeah, still trying to kick it off, really get people into the room, you know.
And it's, like, it was spatial.
It's, like, you need, like, ten people in there.
And then all of a sudden it doubles and triples and goes from there, you know.
So, but, yeah, man, just having a heck of a time with that, just having a lot of fun and really putting it out there.
Like, there's plenty of room for more musicians.
And, like, this one spot, it's just called Rap.
I made it really easy to search just R-A-P and you'll find the spot.
Then I also did a few other ones that are just, like, open mics, right.
And I'm putting together beats, basically, like beat loops for different artists where you don't have to go in during an event.
Like, you could just go into the space and there's already a beat playing and, like, you know, you could just freestyle or, you know, invite a couple friends, shoot a video kind of thing.
So, yeah, it's kind of growing.
And, you know, every time we do this show we've had really interesting people drop into the room and kind of ask about it and try and get involved.
So, I could see this, I could see it growing pretty quickly, you know, just, it's, the connections that happen in Web 3 just happen so quickly.
Like, that web, like neural network almost of how well and quickly people get connected this way.
So, yeah, man, just having a heck of a time with it, man.
And then a few other projects, too.
Actually, one of the nights, it was kind of cool.
So, I was doing the live rap show in one space and then I actually had DJ Dabby DJing in another one of the spaces.
So, that was, like, my first time basically airing two live shows simultaneously in spatial.
You know, again, not big crowds.
I only announced the DJ thing, like, two hours before we did it, which was kind of the idea.
Instead of getting thousands of people in there, it's in that, like, early science phase.
Does this sound all right?
So, it's, like, not trying to get a million people in there to be, like, it's not working.
So, it's more like, more the early science phases.
But everything's going pretty well.
You know, it's, like, all right, I'm doing two shows simultaneously.
And, you know, I really have seen all the Twitter posts for the Grammy nominated everything.
But I've just kind of been tied up.
And, you know, I've seen Alan's made a ton of cool videos.
And he's getting some good shares and stuff with that.
So, that's kind of where I'm at.
So, I'm totally stoked about the Grammy nominated stuff.
Alan has just gone over the top.
I'm trying to think of the best way it is.
Because, in my opinion, when it comes to brand, like, brand creation, brand experiences, like, and really locking in and keying in on that.
Alan is one of the top, like, in my opinion.
He, you, when you look at his stuff, you don't see, you might see some things.
Like, if you didn't know that Alan made the blimp, right?
Because you don't see his logo, like, flashing around anywhere.
Like, when you see his experiences, when he's doing something, like, for, like, the Grammy stuff.
Like, it's, you can tell, like, this is for this event.
It's not like, oh, well, who else is involved?
You would have to ask, like, who made it?
You know, who else is involved?
Like, he does a really good job of, like, even the Dr. Pepper stuff that he's done for the 7-Eleven things.
It's, like, that's what it is.
And so, which is really cool that he builds and creates in that way.
Like, he really focuses on who he's building for, right?
And, but I have to go back to something you said.
You said that you were broadcasting into, you were doing, not the same show into different worlds.
But you were doing, you had different performers in different rooms.
One was the hip-hop show, the rap.
And the other one was at a spot called Club, where a DJ was playing.
So, two completely different things simultaneously.
And you were controlling those streams, like, into those worlds.
Yeah, yeah, both of them at the same time, like, bouncing back and forth, checking sound, checking everything.
Like, yeah, yeah, you know.
I, I, I know people that stream into stuff, you know, and they, and, you know, they'll, they'll talk about how difficult this thing is, and how difficult that thing is, and how much work it takes, and effort, and computer power, and blah, blah, blah.
But you're making it sound like, you know, this is, like, you're like, yeah, I can, I can do this.
And I like that you're like, we weren't trying to smash out the rooms, we were just, you know, you're, you're feeling things out, you're testing.
Is it even, can it happen?
Is it going to be smooth when we do invite people in here, and, and have these things going on?
So that's, you know, props to you, man.
Like, that's, that's a big deal.
Yeah, man, I appreciate it, you know, and really trying to get this whole thing kicked off, and, you know, with the whole Unity integration into Spatial, that thing is going to absolutely take off.
And you're right, with Alan, like, he comes from a, you know, long background of graphic design, and, you know, working for companies, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, stuff like that.
So, yeah, his, his, his builds are definitely way more polished, I'd say, than mine, and, yeah, it's, he's, he's a great builder, and he's a great person to, to pick his brain.
You know, when I get stuck on something, you know, he's one of the first people I call, but, yeah, I think, I think he's going to do pretty well for himself.
I think people are going to recognize his stuff, and, oh, yeah.
Yeah, he, he's, uh, when it, whenever I, whenever someone talks to me about, you know, certain things, um, or, you know, like, with this Grammy stuff, like, it, yeah, he's, he's my go-to.
It's not, and there's, depending on what wants to, you know, what the, whoever it is, is looking for, right?
What are they looking for?
You know, it kind of depends on, you know, where you send them, right?
Um, honestly, when it comes to, uh, you know, do, you do an amazing job of setting up the tours and, and guiding people through these spots.
And I know that, you know, you may, you may not have been doing it, you know, for the past, like, five years, taking people through Metaverse tours.
But when I do jump in on your stuff, from the very first one you did with that, and maybe it wasn't the first one, but the very first one, I really remember, okay, uh, you had that OVR set up inside Spatial, where, but it wasn't just OVR, you had a bunch of other stuff in there, too.
And you had, like, your tattoo designs and stuff like that floating around inside the Spatial Spot.
But then you had the portals, and you said, and you do a really good job of setting those portals up so that people, so that the tour is easy, it's smooth.
Um, you're like, okay, guys, hey, we're going to walk over here, click this, all right, everybody follow me, boom, boom, boom, boom.
And the last one we did that I, that I joined in on, where you took us through all the different Spatial Spots, uh, that was where we went through, before Dope Silo had really announced the, you know, his opening thing, you know, we went through that spot with Cyberder Bay, we went through the Alan Walker build, uh, we went through, you know, your main, um, I don't know if that's like a cabin, or, but I love how you take your scans, and you put them in there.
And, dude, there's so, there's so many photo ops that can happen in there, because everywhere you look, there's, there's either Alan Walker's logo, there's Cyberder Baby's logo, there's your logo, there's, and they're not just, like, in your face, just, like, randomized, but they're, like, set in such a way that it's, if you, you know, it just blends, it just matches, it flows, it goes.
So, and maybe that's because you're a tattoo artist, and you know how to take designs and patterns, and kind of put them together, so it's smooth, and it, and it blends well, um, but yeah, dude, it's, uh, I, I have a lot of respect, I can't do that, me, I am literally like a dragon's rob, um, you know, I can take an avatar, I can put it in here, I can take some pictures, and put them in here, but when it comes to designing these things, that's not me, I have to spend, like, days, on weeks, on trying to get things to work together,
together, and blend together, or else I'm just throwing stuff up there, and be, like, all right, guys, here's a picture, I hope you like it.
It's, it's, you know, with the PFPs, and all that stuff, like, you're right, the whole idea is, like, any direction, you point that camera with somebody standing there, it's, like, you can have an interesting background, you know what I mean, like, it's not just, like, a box with a couch, where it's always that same shot, like, you know, it's, it's continually different, and any direction is different, and really, it's my, um,
it's kind of, like, my first try at, like, understanding, like, how to market in these things, um, it's, like, trying to sell ad space in a spatial space, say, it's, like, okay, well, how many people come through, it's, like, you know, a couple hundred a week, something like that, it's, like, that's not, that's not really worth that much, like, something, but not that much,
but, when they take those Instagram videos, reels, and, and TikToks, and, uh, you know, that logo is in the background, and that TikTok has got, you know, 2,000, 3,000 plus views,
it's, like, that's worth something, you know, plus the people who are actually in the room, because it's, like, a whole other experience to be in 3D, like, you soak it in differently,
um, but to show all those views on the social medias, is where, like, see, now it makes sense to, you know, spend a few bucks and put a logo up in one of these spots,
because it's, you know, thousands of eyes are on it, so it's, like, trying to figure out how to, um, possibly do some sort of monetization in this, uh,
and this whole thing, and that's a big part of it, so, yeah, I appreciate you saying that, man. Um, I do, however, got to get, get, uh, running and get started for work,
so I'm gonna, I'm gonna drop down to a listener and, and listening in as, uh, as I'm getting ready, man, and, uh, I'll definitely catch the recording later.
Well, you know, I mean, there's just so many people in here, um, this is, this is my first Twitter space back, I think this may be my first one of the year,
the last one I did was, uh, right before New Year's Eve, and so I think this may be the first one I've done this year, so, uh, and it's, it wasn't planned,
I even had, like, the wrong time set up, so most people are probably planning on this happening, like, way later,
so this may only be open for another, like, five minutes, it, at the max, I completely understand you getting ready for work,
um, real quick, so that people, when they listen to this recording, because if they do listen to this recording,
uh, your, your shop is in Arkansas, you are a part of the artist coalition up there, not just in, like,
and, and real quick, can you give a little bit on that, and we'll probably close the space on that,
we'll, we'll close it with, this will be the Altered Alley space.
Um, the artist coalition, there's, you know, surprisingly, um, up in Northwest Arkansas,
there's a lot going on, uh, on the art scene, uh, people actually do buy art here, and stuff like
that, so there's actually a lot of different things going on, um, there's, uh, an art gallery
that I'm registered on, uh, the Art Collective Gallery, I always gotta shout them out, um, where he
kinda, he lets me, um, real nice gallery, sells really nice art, but he just kinda lets me do science in
there, you know, I'll just drop in, and I'm like, hey, can I do a Nerf scan of this place, and it's
always like, man, do what you gotta do, like, like, I've, I've spent hours kinda explaining the
metaverse, and what's coming, and, and all this stuff to the guys, so we got a, a pretty good deal,
where anytime I wanna kinda try something out, um, and it's kinda gotten that way with, like, a whole
bunch of businesses around the area, um, where I've gone in, and I kinda give them this pitch,
like, I'm not charging you anything, I'm just trying to do, like, a portfolio of 3D
business websites, more or less, um, and sometimes they just, you know, blank stare, no way, this
ain't happening, but, you know, the people are like, okay, it sounds weird, sure, you know, and
then, you know, basically, I gamify their place, like, I did this, uh, barbershop, it's called the
Bearded Buffalo Barbershop, you know, it's real, like, real southern looking, big buffalo head up on
the wall, um, but yeah, they're like, oh, sure, why not, you know, so I scanned the place, and, uh, I always
like to mess with the scale, like, I always, I always make the place, like, way bigger, so it's
a lot more fun to run around, and you can, like, run under the chairs, and, like, run up the guy
who's, uh, cutting the guy's hair and stuff, it's, uh, it's kinda fun, you know, but then put, like,
all the contact information in there, like, the same stuff you would have on your regular website,
put all that in there, it's just way more fun, way more interesting, um, and at the same time,
to see, like, way more stuff, you know what I mean, like, you could put the majority of what's on
your Instagram in one of these spaces, and, like, if somebody clicks on your Instagram,
they might scroll up once or twice, you know, um, and see a few pictures, big difference when
you're in a room, and, like, they're, you know, they're 10 feet tall, and, like, whole, whole other
experience, so it's just trying to help, um, I guess, onboard small businesses into the metaverse
in kind of a fun, a fun way, you know, again, it's kind of this garage band time where it's not
set in stone how to do everything exactly, so it's, it's a lot of fun, just science, try it out,
some stuff works, some stuff doesn't, and, uh, yeah, but yeah, this, uh, this region actually
does have a pretty good, uh, art area, a lot of galleries, a lot of, a lot of artists, a lot of
get-togethers, they do this, like, art on the bricks thing, um, where all these, all these vendors
come out and sell art, and, and I walk around, like, there's invisible art all over, you know,
just download OVR, and this, and that, um, which, honestly, it never really goes over great, like,
I don't get a ton of people downloading it, but, uh, I think one day it's gonna catch on, like,
how much augmented reality art I've put in this little town, like, honestly, it's probably one of
the densest augmented reality art spots on earth, you know, it's like, because I do, like, every
platform I possibly can, I get on there, and I, I geolocate, you know, AR art, and all this stuff,
and, um, just having a blast with it, and there's actually, uh, there's, uh, another one I wanted to
talk to you later about, uh, another app that just hit me up, because, and that's what's been
happening lately, is these apps, before they even come out, they see, like, how much I do with AR,
and they're, like, you know, take a look at our stuff before we officially release and stuff, and it's cool,
because I can kind of turn around and be, like, you know, it would be cool if you kind of maybe
change this around and added this, and they do it, you know, and so it's kind of, like, before some
of these apps come out, I get to add what I kind of specifically would need on it, and they do, so,
I, you know, I just see this growing and growing, and, uh, just having a blast with it, you know?
Yeah, you know, that, and so one of the things that I, I have noticed about you is you do, you have
the, when it comes to AR and displaying things on AR, there's a lot of people that talk about it,
but they get very app-specific or very platform-specific, and there's, you know, like, so
Cyberner Baby, you know, one of those teams that, you know, has worked on multiple different
platforms, multiple different parts of the metaverse, you know, they built things that
people don't even know they built, and you're the exact same way, and people don't know the amount
of, there's going to be apps that everybody uses, there's going to be tools that everybody uses in
the next two to three years that the only reason they're there is because you were there at the
beginning and said, hey, man, you know, I think it would be cool if it worked like this, and people
don't know, you know, it's kind of like the people that put the first, you know, shuttle up in space,
or the first satellite up in space, you know, you may have, like, the two or three people that are
mentioned, like, it's quote-unquote their team, their project, but at the end of the day, there's
really, like, a hand, you know, hundreds of people, or, like, a team of 10 people that tested stuff
before that ever got out there that are never going to be listed, but yet, if it wasn't for those
opinions or those things that they said, they said, hey, this isn't going to work, that wire can't go there,
you know, people aren't going to want this thing on their television, you know, if it wasn't for
those people, we wouldn't have those things, and you're one of those people that will never be
mentioned, you're like the star on the wall at the CIA, it's like, the only reason people know
is because there's a star on the wall, but you're one of those stars, so I appreciate everything
you've done, and that's, yeah, so we'll probably close this space here, because you're going to work,
I'm going to go ahead and get stuff started, you know, throughout the rest of the metaverse,
we're going to be streaming in Spatial, in Voxels, there's going to be stuff going on on OVR,
they're going to have QR codes in the real life venue at Campus Jacks in California, so
that's going to be really cool, and I'll probably talk about that before I close out the space or
whatever, but yeah, so thank you for coming in, sharing everything that you've been a part of,
sharing what you've done, and yeah, and just being real throughout this whole thing.
Same with you, man, it's like, I think, I think you're one of the unsung holders,
soldiers, Jesus, you've been around shit longer than me with all this, and really trying to bring
people together, and do all this stuff, so yeah, man, I know, you know, they, like, social media
influences, influencers, or whatever, I know you're a huge influencer in the metaverse yourself, man,
and even though your name might not be stamped on every, everything you see, and all that, that,
you know, there's, there's, about those, that you brought people together, suggested, you know,
hey, follow this account if you're looking to go that direction, so, I'd certainly say you, uh,
you get a star up on that wall yourself, man. We get our stars, we have stars on bars,
we're like the Dr. Seuss story, so, man, it's just a, we know, you know,
I love it. I'm gonna do, I'm gonna give my last little shill speech on what's happening
with the Grammy nominations, and talk about Arturo Sandoval, and Dow Records, and stuff like
that, um, thanks again for, for being here, sharing your story, but for those of you that did listen to
the recording, and they got this far, and listened to Altered Story, one of the reasons this space opened
is because I'm really just excited about what's happening inside of this space. This is a big win
for anybody that's in NFTs, and, you know, the metaverse, and all of these things, and it's a win,
why is it a win for everybody? Well, so, MTV had their awards, you know, last year, and, you know,
they, they created a new award for, like, you know, best metaverse music video, and stuff like that,
and, which is totally cool, totally awesome, you know, that that is now an award that will be
given away every year. This year, this 2023, the Grammy nominations, the very first NFT music album
is nominated for a Grammy that were in the category of Best Latin Jazz Album, and, which is, which is
huge, because it's not a new award. This is an award that would normally go out to anybody inside of
that category, and that's huge, because it's a normal award, and so this is the first NFT album,
full NFT album, that's, that's being out. Arturo Sandoval is the one that, well, he's the musician,
it's really his album, album, Rhythm and Soul, and there's a few tracks on there. One of them is
Kumba, that was really composed by Tony Guerrera, and so, and they've worked together, so you'll hear
Tony on there. Tony plays consistently over at Campus Jaxx in California, so Campus Jaxx, Meta Jaxx,
who runs the NFT broadcast channel, they are the ones that produced the Rhythm and Soul album,
along with Dow Records, and so, and that was released on the Near blockchain, so if you want to pick it up,
you can actually go pick up some of the tracks. If you've never heard of Near, it's, it's a very easy
to use, very user-friendly, you know, application, blockchain, whatever you want to call it,
and so, but you can go pick up some of these tracks, they're like a dollar, okay? At the end of the day,
after everything's said and done, you get to own the very first NFT music album nominated for a
Grammy for a dollar, so we're used to, you know, if you went and bought CDs, you had to pay like 15
bucks, well now, it's a dollar, and the gas fee is like a penny, so it's a dollar and a penny,
which is less than you'd pay in taxes if you went to go buy something that was 99 cents at the store,
then it's really a dollar or seven, right? So, this is really cool, it's a, it's, it is a big deal
for, for myself personally, because I've been associated, I've, I've known MetaJacks for the
last couple of years, and what they've been doing with streaming their live venue CampusJacks into
the Metaverse since 2021, and that's, they've been doing that with the TokenSmart Discord, and the
TokenSmart community over there has just been, they've been around since 2015, I want to say,
and, you know, bringing people into the, the crypto space, and not just saying, go buy crypto because
it's going to pump, no, but one of the things that TokenSmart does, is they're just that, they're
TokenSmart, and so they'll deep dive into these projects, and they, they don't just talk about
projects that's any, you know, well-known project, sure, they'll cover the top projects, but when they
cover the top projects, they cover the good, the bad, and the ugly about that project, not just because
they're trying to build one up, or they're trying to break one down, but they want everybody to have
the best knowledge they can before they go and get into these things, so TokenSmart community has
been doing an amazing job, there's different shows that you can catch every day of the week, you got
the Mighty My Show on Tuesdays, you got Kane Mayfield on Fridays with the public school, you got Easy and
Crypto, who runs Easy's Corner, you got Art or Die, you've got Foxy Yoga, you got Rizzle, okay,
and if you don't know who Rizzle is, then you are not inside the crypto space, I don't know where
you've been, but you, you haven't been paying attention, because Rizzle, you know, they've
been, the Matt and Rizzle show, like that's been around, like I said, since like 2015, and they've
been steady, and they don't get, no one over on the TokenSmart gets paid for this show, okay, so
everything you see, everything you hear is, it's, you know, their opinions that are their opinions,
they're not getting paid to say what they're saying, which makes it, as a listener, as a
consumer, you get to know it's going to be their honest opinions, they're not being, it's,
they're not being swayed one way or the other by the projects they're talking about, which
is nice, because then you can know that you're getting that more honest opinion, it's still
an opinion, but it can be their honest opinion.
Uh, so TokenSmart's been amazing, MetaJax, who has been streaming into the, a real life
venue, into the metaverse, um, every week, okay, for the, you know, like I said, since
2021, and they have, you know, they've been doing it in crypto voxels, they've been doing
it in spatial, uh, I want to say they've, they've worked some with some other platforms,
they may have some stuff that they do with DCL every once in a while, but I, I want to
say their main focus has been, you know, voxels, discord, spatial, and those areas.
Now, what has happened is on over the reality, like today, this weekend, there's going to
be a lot of stuff that's sitting in augmented reality.
So third planet studio is created a couple of experiences out there that are going to be
kind of, uh, a couple of the main experiences for people to view because it's right inside
the sitting area and right at the front entrance, and there's going to be a QR code.
So when people do get in the app, you know, that, that hexagon, that little overland that
they're going to be standing in is going to be one of the third planet studios because
third planet studios has been streaming the MetaJax community, uh, or Twitch stream into
spatial for the past year, a year and a half.
And so they, they are, they're there, they're locked in.
They are part of that core group.
And so who better to stay consistent with than the people that they've been consistent with
And so third planet studios is going to have those two spots.
Alan Walker is going to, we've all seen the videos of what he's been working on.
I can't wait to see, you know, all of this, like right there in front of campus Jackson.
I think that's going to be huge.
He's got the red trumpet, which really just nails.
If you've ever seen anything from Arturo Sandoval, you'll know that that red trumpet,
that's, uh, when I think Arturo, I think red trumpet.
And so it'll be really cool to see all of that stuff happening right there, you know,
Some of the other things you're going to get to see on over the reality, there are going
to be, there's different music artists.
Um, so there's Alon Cooper who was a busker, a music busker in real life has traveled the
And, but he was down in Austin, Texas during South by Southwest and, you know, really getting
into, uh, you know, and not, he's not afraid.
And it's, it takes a lot.
It's easy for anybody to get on a stage and be like the person on the headline, you know,
on the bill, you know, you're announced, everybody knows they're going to see you.
Um, and, and you have that audience that whether you were playing or not, they were going to
And so that, that's cool.
You can grab an audience that was planning on listening to music, but to have, but to
be out on the street and to get people to stop, do it, you know, when you, when you get
someone, if someone's walking by there, ain't, they're going somewhere.
They were not walking in the street to be like, I'm planning on stopping at the corner of
No, they were planning on going somewhere.
And so when you were performing on a streets corner or on a sidewalk and you have a group
of people, not just one or two or three, but they stop and stand and listen and, and maybe
take their videos, they record.
And then sometimes you have other musicians that are like, Hey, you're good.
Can I stand here with you?
And then you end up having like this little jam band session that happens just on the street.
And alone Cooper was one of the best artists that, that I've seen that has that happen
And so while they were in Austin, Texas, they did that.
And so there's, they've released some NFTs that are out on open sea.
And so in over the reality, you'll get to see, cause they also went to the Netherlands and
did the exact same thing.
Um, and so there's a video that they have standing on the street, you know, performing
and it's springtime of my life.
And so that that's the song right there that is going to be playing inside the overland.
It's a beautiful song, really well done.
Uh, the, the full master version is amazing.
The, the live performance is just, wow.
Like it actually sounds that way, not just in a recording being mastered, but they actually
And so it's really cool and amazing video.
The links are inside of there.
There's also Utah Carol, who has been a huge asset to a lot of the people inside the space.
And because it's actually Ginger Burke who has worked with companies like Google and,
you know, teaches classes for the, one of the business associations up in Chicago.
So if you're a business in Chicago and you have to take a certain amount of hours to keep
your business open and classes, you probably sat in a class with Ginger Burke, but like I
said, she's also Utah Carol.
That is her band that she has with her husband.
The art is, uh, is again, part of their family.
Her son is an amazing musician, much more talented than them.
And if Utah, you're listening to this, I'm sorry, but your son is just super talented.
They've gone on to do amazing things.
And it's because they're so young, they've got a bright future ahead of them.
So you can go and check out Utah Carol as well.
And then I actually have a spot from three NFTs.
There's one video, but it's got all three music NFTs.
My first music NFTs released, I smashed them into one video.
And so there's going to be a little listening party inside of there for anybody that wants
to just jump in, hear some of my music.
It's all live, straight, raw recording, no editing.
There's probably some reverb or something added.
It's, it's just acoustic, just bare, just straight.
Like if you were going to hear me live, that's what you're going to get right there.
Um, and so there's those experiences there.
Like I said, third planet studios, LM designs, who's been building things all across the space
and really nailing some stuff on over the reality.
She's going to have some things up there as well.
Uh, and then who else we've got mint, uh, who created one of the first builds for meta
jacks or from campus jacks, meta jacks that will also still be on display.
That'll go back up today.
There's going to be some, there's the fashion designers, the Moss brand who I was down in
South by Southwest last year, uh, with them and got to walk around with them.
They have this suit and before artifact had their thing with Nike, where you put the QR
code and you scan it and boom, um, the Moss brand was already doing that.
And so they had this, an actual suit, beautiful suit, amazing, very well done, very well made.
Cause it's not just a hoodie.
It's not just a sweater that you're going to go get.
It is a custom one of one suit.
So they had a QR code on the back that when you scan it, a poem pops out written by, uh,
written by one of the art or one of the designers, right?
So if you look them up on Twitter, Dapper Griot, right.
And you'll pull them up, but a beautiful poem right there.
Mark Juan is an amazing person.
Really just both Mark Juan and Estefania are both really just real people that are excited
about the future and how to design that in a better way.
But the Moss brand and the Chicago fashion coalition, uh, are going to the New York fashion week.
And so, because they're going to be at New York fashion week, they're going to be releasing
some things and you can catch a glimpse of what they've been doing inside of one of the
So there's a, a build created by triple triple dreamers is I've been a huge fan for the past
couple of years of him as well.
Got one of his PFPs way back.
And so glad I did because now I have these wonderful worlds that I can just decorate
and I can just put some things in.
And so there's the world created by triple dreamers.
That's got, I've got a couple of videos from the Moss brand and what they're bringing to
So definitely check that out.
There's also some videos from Renz Renders and who's an amazing artist as well.
Just doing some amazing stuff.
You'll get to see the logos of everybody that's involved in this web three familia, who's been
paving the way to bring the next million Latinos into this space.
They've been, they've got classes on not just, you know, here's some crypto, go spend it.
No, but classes on how to set up your wallet, how to protect your wallet.
What do you do with a wallet?
You want to have your business, everything you want to know about getting into web three
crypto, metaverse, whatever you want to call this space, this time, this period that we're
Web three familia has been an amazing part.
And so Renz Renders, Estefania with the Moss brand, all of those people are tied into
So I, I kind of put that spot as that's the web three familia spot because it's the web
And that's who's, who's in that spot.
So you got Estefania with the Moss brand, Renz Renders, and you'll see some other things
from triple as well inside of that spot.
So, uh, definitely check all these places out again.
It's going to be an amazing time tomorrow is when the actual parties start and all of
those streams will be into the metaverse.
Thanks to Dow records and Meta jacks who have produced and organized.
And if it wasn't for them, you know, Arturo Sandoval, uh, may not have an NFT album.
He would have reduced, produced and released that music, you know, just the normal way.
But, you know, meta jacks, Dow records really guided in.
And that's the amazing part is they guided in this musician.
He's old, he's not young.
So it's not like he was looking into doing this on his own anyways.
And they were able to do that.
So if you're looking for somebody that really knows how to help and support the artist in
And, you know, because talking goes a long way, they've done an amazing job.
I'm a huge fan of that records, huge fan of meta jacks and everything going on.
They're both a part, uh, are connected to Moda Dow, who was a part of the DCL music festival.
But we were also, you know, they were also part of the ultimate metaverse music festival,
which covered all the platforms, not just the one.
And that's where, that's where they really get groovy, man, is they're not just platforms
They're artists supportive.
And that's the, that's the key thing there for the artists, they're for the creators.
They're really looking out for the best for those people that are coming into this space,
not just in it to make the platform some money.
So really excited about the Grammy party tomorrow.
If you have the opportunity, go to campus jacks over, over the reality, check out what's going
You can check out the different spots on spatial, you know, uh, third planet studios is going
to be streaming out the stream NFT music hall is going to have the stream going in crypto
They've done an amazing job.
You definitely should check that out.
Felons again, has been doing some amazing stuff.
I could go on and on about the amazing people that are behind the scenes.
In fact, there's a medium article that kind of covers some of these things.
So if you check my profile, you can go through, or you can just, or you can look up on medium,
you know, uh, the team behind the scenes and the artists that are making history, you know,
so, and that's the, it covers, you know, who Meta Jacks is, who's Arthur Sandoval talks
about that, that records, NFT music hall, third planet studios, and the people that put
in the time and the effort to make sure that I could have a Twitter space to just run my
mouth about some cool things that other people are doing.
So really excited about that.
If you made it this far through the recording, you're amazing.
And, you know, really one day I, we're all going to be wearing those beaver heads.
We're all going to be walking around.
I know we could on Instagram.
Actually, we can actually all walk around with those beaver heads.
I think Alan made a little mask, which is super cool because it fits, you know, it actually
And I like the way it fits with the beard too.
Make sure that we all get to see the tattoos.
I don't know if there's, where's the best place to follow your tattoos?
It says it's seven deadly arts.
And if you can't speak, I completely understand, but where can we actually see your tattoo work?
I have a weird mic issue.
Sorry if I'm cutting you off.
I did a spatial space just called Tattoo Artist where I did my entire portfolio, basically
So it was like, you kind of run down this alley, you run past all the, all the pieces.
So yeah, I haven't really put that one out there, but I'm trying to do like a 3D tattoo
And that's, that's what's up.
So just the tattoo, what is it?
I know we can go look it up.
So, but yeah, thanks for, I see Felons jumped in the room.
I'm going to throw you the mic.
I was just talking about you actually.
So Altered, again, thanks for sharing everything that you've shared and, and just being that
person that's, you know, continually pushing the limits and testing those apps that nobody
else wants to because they don't even know they exist.
So thank you for still doing that.
What's up, Felons, NFT Music Hall in the house.
Oh, it's so exciting, man.
Arturo Sandoval, first NFT, Grammy nominee.
Well, I mean, yo, so you've been decorating inside of the music hall.
I don't know if you've slept the past few days.
And I feel like every time I look at my notifications, there's, there's something from you.
I'm like, dang, he doesn't sleep.
Like he's, he's going to be asleep during the party.
Well, I know I'm going to crash and burn today actually.
So I'll be ready for tomorrow, but no, I, yeah, I, I stayed up a lot last night, but it
was not about, uh, just, uh, the music hall, but yeah, bottom line, uh, right now, a lot
And what's cool is that I had a really great conversation with, uh, you know, well, uh, rare
vandal, uh, from, uh, Dow records and talking about putting the audio of Sust, the tune that
I recorded with Greg Vale at, uh, campus jacks back during the, uh, crypto jazz festival.
And they don't do video yet there, but, um, because the tune is so closely related to campus
And, uh, and of course, Greg Vale has dropped some of his tunes on Dow records.
It just makes sense to, uh, tuck that one in there and have it tightly, you know, uh, nested
in there with, um, with meta jacks and this, this whole lineup.
And so I'm looking to mint that, uh, by the end of February, I just need to get, uh, this
cover art done and, uh, everything else is ready to go.
And then I'll drop the video probably on either campfire lens or manifold too many, too many
So did you just tell us that you're going to be dropping something at the end of February?
We're going to be able to go pick up a new NFT from you.
Actually, there's going to be, you know, uh, a whole ton of stuff coming because, um, yeah,
finally have my, my brain together about, uh, you know, I've, I've been so in my head
about, uh, trying to get this one tune out, uh, stepping into the ether, uh, working with
bogey on the, uh, 3d, uh, that's just, it's like an epic video.
So, and, uh, it's just, you know, uh, the creative process is what it is and just letting
And, um, the most important thing for me to do is just keep myself busy and support where
And, you know, there's so much stuff.
So what I'm going to do is, uh, go back into two, I guess you can call them archives.
Uh, the first is the three, uh, NFTs that I put together, uh, around July, 2021.
Uh, there was my Genesis, which was, uh, the smoked skies tune.
And then I did a, the founders token for this, uh, you know, very fledgling, uh, NFT music
And, uh, a little while later they morphed to fanfare and I did their Genesis token.
And so, uh, those three, I want to use, uh, as, uh, rewards to people that hold those,
Any of those as well as the new or the most recent one, magic carpet, which, um, I'm going
And I, I only had it open for 30 days and people are going, what, why do you do that?
So I'm going to reopen that as part of kind of the whole thing, you know, and it might be
stacking up too much stuff at all at the same time, but you know, it's just gotta go.
I mean, it's gotta move, gotta just flow.
So, and soon after that, I want to release a CD that I put together back in 2000.
And that's kind of a legacy of all my, uh, acoustic playing.
It kind of informs every, you know, everything that I'm playing today, the most recent stuff
that I've written and it's totally whacked.
I, I injured my finger in 94 and I was still in 2000, uh, playing my guitar tuned down a
So it was all in D, right?
Uh, and so with that having slack enough to do, uh, bar chords.
And so it's a little baritone and it, it couldn't stay in tune and I wasn't doing it with a,
So it's really unique, uh, but it, you know, uh, it's been one of those things where I've
been like, you know, it's not good enough and, you know, but the truth is that's gotta
And yeah, uh, I've got so much other material, all the electronic stuff and I'm just, you know,
So I don't know how it's going to work out, but I just have to, to let it flow and then
get on with, uh, you know, the collabs, everything that's come up in the last, you know, six months
that, uh, are talking future and, you know, be able to have that, uh, as the foundation and
really, you know, make, you know, uh, I don't know how else better to stay and say it, but,
you know, make that stand in the NFT world, uh, because I've been supporting all this time
and, you know, at this point I really only have a couple NFTs out there.
And so, uh, it's been really a struggle to just be my own project manager.
And I feel like anybody that's going to listen to this, you know, they can get a good understanding
about what you've done and, you know, that you, that your goat, that you're not just here,
you know, just to like, you know, play around, but you, you've got a plan.
And there's something that we can look forward to.
Like, there's a reason why would we follow you?
Because you're about to do something, not just about to do something like one time, but
I feel like you're the type of person that when you start, when you say, Hey, I'm going
to set out a plan, you're looking five, 10, 15, 20 years into the future saying, you know,
these are the steps I need to take in order to get to this point, I'm going to take these
And I'm really looking forward to it because you've got a good setup where you're at, you
know, you've got your green screen, you've got your studio, like you've got a spot where
me, I have to fight with like five kids to get a quiet spot in my house.
You know, like I can say, Hey, I'm going to go in this room and do something, but I'm sitting
in my car, you know, to have the Twitter space so that I don't have a bunch of screaming going
And, and I think that you're in a spot where, where you're set up.
Hey, I see you brings, I'm bringing you up right now, but you're in a spot to do that.
And so we can look forward to these things happening because you can do these things and
So if another artist, another music artist, as I heard you say, you've collabed that there's
another music artist that wanted to do something like you, they could sing, they could just record
at their house, send you the audio and then make in, you know, you can mix, you can do these
So if they don't have the time, somebody like me, maybe I have like 15 minutes, I could lay
down some audio and then just send it to you.
You could work with that.
Do I have to play to a click in order for you to work with it?
And if anything would be, if, if I provide music or, or lyrics one way or another, you
know, if it's not a click track, maybe just a simple drum track that goes appropriately
and then could potentially be mixed out or replaced with real drums or just something
But something where I could, something where we can say it's 128 BPM.
And so that when, when you go to go, when you do go to mix it, you're not having to like
stretch some parts, shrink some spots and like having to listen to the whole thing.
Like we used to have to do in the old days.
I don't know if you remember that, but I used to do that back when, before I knew how
to play to a click or I, or really understood the importance of it.
I remember trying to like splice all these different audio pieces together and yeah, it's
And then there, and then there was the, the, the wonderful quantize, quantize, quantization.
And yeah, that's a suck hole by itself.
But definitely, uh, actually question for you, you know, everything, you know, for your
NFT lineup, uh, has been, you know, singer songwriter.
Have you, you know, because you're so into metal and stuff, do you have an electric?
Have you, I don't, I personally don't have an electric guitar anymore.
Um, and, and when I, so how do I say brief history, right?
Um, I, I did, I was, I'm like you said, I love metal.
I'm all about the heavy scene.
Like I, that's really like, that's, I grew up on it.
I, uh, the punk, the emo, the metal, just that, like, throw your fist around, kick the speaker,
you know, just like, that was, that was my, my dad.
My old man, um, went, went to school with Leonard Skinner.
So back in, like they used to play the middle school dances in Florida.
They weren't really Skinner at the time.
You know, they were just some kids that had guitars, but so growing up, um, you know, I,
that was, you know, that was his music scene, you know, and it kind of spread into, you know,
my music scene really spurred off of that music scene, you know, the Zeppelin, the Skinners,
those people that, you know, just really like they, they didn't just like jump around on
stage, but they played like, you know, I mean, who, who has a 30 minute guitar solo
And so who, who can do that and get people to listen to it still?
And so that, that was, that was me.
And so growing up, you know, you have a band and I, and I had all those things and then,
uh, but I noticed that it's hard to be in a band, right.
Um, especially the, the, the way we can transport music back and forth now.
I don't remember that happening back when I was like 16, 17 years old.
And so at one point I got out on my own and I grabbed an acoustic and that was the easiest
And, you know, I would love to get back into a full-time band, but my life just happened.
You know, I went, had kids, I didn't even perform out anymore.
And so just a few, few years ago, I started getting back into all this stuff, um, really
where I said, I'm going to do this thing.
And so, yeah, my, my music that I have out now are the, are those, you know, acoustic
Um, but I've been talking to a few bands here lately, uh, you know, in my local scenes, especially
that, you know, maybe, maybe you might hear me on some vocals on one, or maybe I'll grab
some drums on another or guitar on a different one and, you know, and just, you know, and
just be on like one or two tracks, uh, on their, on their album, you know, kind of thing.
Cause then when you, when you get to go out and maybe I get to play different types of
shows with different types of bands and only do one song, but I'm not there for, you
I'm there because I love the vibe.
I just, you know, it's just what it's about.
It's about the fun excitement.
So really looking forward to those things.
I'm glad you asked though, because you're right.
And, you know, we'll bring metal to Campus Jack someday.
Uh, you know, I, I, look, look, you, I, there, we could, okay.
There, there's no, like I could send out a whole lineup of bands like right now, like
we could get them there next week.
Um, I'm just not so sure that they, that the crowd, the normal crowd would be like prepared
Uh, if anybody's heard or seen like, uh, was it like death core type bands?
Like we, we're talking, you know, we're talking metal at text.
I was just totally riffing on that.
But, you know, the, the total theme, you know, that, uh, Jacks has, you know, it doesn't
need to be in Campus Jacks, Meta Jacks.
I mean, uh, he, uh, he's developing this ecosystem around, well, part of it includes
Dow Records where Arturo's stuff is, um, and, you know, Greg Bale and, and a couple others
Tawanda, but, you know, the, the whole opportunity is through the communities, uh, that he's built.
And I'm really excited to see, you know, if he branches beyond, uh, the jazz community,
which is really his number one, because, you know, that's, he is, he is a curator.
I mean, uh, Mr. Ellis, the, the founder of Meta Jacks, I mean, talk about a connector, uh, in
Southern California, uh, let alone, you know, nationwide to some, some degree, you know, bringing
in this huge talent from across the U S the world into that tiny little jazz club in Newport
Beach, California, Campus Jacks, we're going to have it live. I can't believe it. It's going to be
so cool. You know, I've been trying with Tim to get an electric rendezvous out there. And I think
that would be a great introduction for his audience. I mean, he does have some rock bands up there,
the cover bands and stuff like that, but yeah, I mean, electric rendezvous, that's, that's a tribute
band to my godfather's old seventies music, especially the album electric rendezvous. So
anybody that knows anything about jazz, hopefully in his audience would know this music, but they
rock it out with electric rendezvous, you know, it's got a little more rock tune to it, but it's still
like the original, the, the great music from, you know, the seventies. And, uh, I think that would
be a great introduction. Um, you know, I gave these guys a little nudge with this event for
tomorrow night on Facebook, hoping that, uh, you know, they open up a little bit, see what's
happening over here. Cause I don't see any reason why they couldn't have been on this album with
Arturo. I mean, that actually was the initial plan to set up a collab, but I just need them to engage
a little bit over here. It's killing me. And, you know, uh, one of the things that is kind
of in mind is, you know, if, if they can have that nationwide or West coast tour and really bring
in, uh, you know, the, you know, the, the audience that, uh, they, uh, they sell that out.
So especially in LA, they have so many fans in LA. And since my godfather, he, they just did a show
down in Tampa and, uh, my godfather actually made a special appearance. So, I mean, if it was
booked around one of his tours and they were in the vicinity for Jack's, I mean, that, that's
something that Tim should definitely jump on. All right. Cause then he gets the Aldi on stage.
Yeah. If anybody doesn't know, it's Aldi Miola. Jazz fusion phenom. One of my guitar heroes.
Uh, so what are you guys doing today? We were, we were up till 2am building an OVR. I'm exhausted.
I'm cold. Still negative something outside. That's crazy. Yeah. Heater blasting. Yeah. Wood
popping in the house left and right. Yeah. Trislett was saying that that's happening, uh, for him as
well. That's crazy. You got like major icicles coming off the roof or what? I don't know. We got
down to negative 10 in the middle of the night and it's like five o'clock this morning. So I think
we're negative one. It's going to be like four over 40 degrees tomorrow. So like, I don't know
what's going on. This is right. I mean, you know, by the end of the week, you're supposed to be up to
70. I mean, yeah. I mean, over here, I don't know. I didn't see 70, but or at least in the fifties,
it's actually going to go up quite a ways. Yeah. Yeah. It is crazy. Like Texas, we had our,
our freeze or we may have one, one or two more, but you know, we, we don't get cold. Like what
y'all get, but we're freezing. We don't get cold. Like you get, um, and we get stupid drivers. We
get people that are like, I don't see any ice. Well, yeah, you can't see it. It's black. That's
why you call it black ice, but don't drive over the bridge and hit your brakes. Don't hit your
brakes on the bridge. How about that? You know? Uh, but yeah, yeah, we, we went, it was cold the past
few days, but when I'm saying cold, it's like 32, 25 degrees. I'm cold right now. It's like 45
degrees. Um, but yeah, I don't know how y'all do it up there going with like negative numbers. Like
what is that? Like why those numbers should not exist in temperatures. Yeah. I get snowboard in 32,
but anything lower than that, hell no. Get the frostbite and everything.
Oh yeah. Well, you gotta go down to 25 or so to get that real fluffy stuff. So I don't know,
you know, you gotta, we just get cold brain. Right. So I'm thinking about a, uh, a resolution
for, uh, the issue we're having with OVR right now with the links, you know, we could just direct
people to search campus jacks and, you know, there'll be multiple live hexes over there and
they can explore them that way. So have you tried to search, uh, just campus jacks when
you're in the, I tried doing it, but, uh, it's only let me search the three word names.
If I type in campus jacks, I think I sent you the video this morning. If I type in campus
jacks, it does bring me to all the hexes. Now we didn't make ours live yet, which I guess
doesn't matter at this point, but, um, but yeah, I'm able to see them all. So once they
go live, then, um, we can click on them. Okay. So is that all just, uh, on mobile or
can you do it on a desktop browser? It's all mobile. Okay. Hook me up. I will install the
latest. I have not gotten to that yet. So yeah, today I'm going to hook up the space
shelf. So do, how does it work? Uh, do you get a, some sort of, uh, link that, uh, you
put into a browser on the phone, which, uh, you know, essentially starts the app? Is
that how it works or do you need to start the app and then search for the, the
campus jacks? Yeah. There's a little, uh, bug happening right now on the platform. So yeah,
download OVR, uh, hit search, type in campus jacks and you'll see some hexes
over there. Um, like I said, we don't have ours live yet. We have one at the
entrance and one inside, but, uh, tonight we'll put them live when acapella comes
back home. So what did you think of the idea of having a hex on stage? Is there
one? So we're pretty close to this stage. That's the one thing. The hexes are
always off from where you need them to be. We're lucky that the entrance one, we
have the actual entrance door and then the hex ends right there to the right of
it. So we, uh, we built a red carpet right there in OVR and then we've got, uh, the
video promo to the left of it. And then we got some animated avatars hanging out,
chilling. So yeah, we're making it light just, you know, cause I don't know what his
wifi is outside and reception and all that stuff. So we're making it kind of
light and just accents. So, you know, people could get in, but see what they
need. There'll be the NFT right there to purchase. We'll have that inside also,
um, you know, to purchase. And, uh,
I'm curious. Um, one of the ideas I had was, uh, essentially being able to project
some sort of avatar skin on people. Is that possible in OVR? So can it track
individuals and just throw like a bear or some, you know, chicken head on people?
Like a, like an Instagram filter, a Snapchat filter kind of thing?
Exactly. Yeah. Uh, I, it, from what I know, uh, like body tracking, stuff like that,
isn't, isn't in there. Like that's not, um, but I, yeah, not that, not that we have the
tool. I know that it recognizes people. So that's a, that's a start. It's just a matter
of how to, we can't build our own scripts in there yet. So any scripting that is done
is, has to be, uh, coded by the dev team. Got it. Okay. Wow. Okay. Well, uh, this point
it's, it's all about, um, providing, uh, experience, whether it be some sort of, uh, video or, uh,
you know, quote unquote, uh, 3d animation, uh, stills, et cetera. Yeah. It's,
it's, uh, it's at, there's, there's a lot to see over there right now. Um, I was actually
early in the space. I saw an altar about it. Well, anybody who's listening to the recording,
I guess. Um, but there's, uh, so alone Cooper has, you know, the video that's playing from him,
it's got links to their NFTs, but the video that's playing from him is him actually live
busking in the Netherlands. So it's, it's kind of cool. Yeah. And I know that MetaJax had talked
about doing stuff like that. And I think that's, that's a cool idea. If you're going to have
these AR experiences that are like geo locked to spots, eventually one day, you know, it'd be cool
to be able to just like pull up a corner of town and, you know, have like the full actual avatar,
not just like the person in a video, but like the full, you know, where it's like it, they're there.
Right. Um, and, or if you want to catch a corner that somebody's live at, but you're a distance away,
you know, you could, they could broadcast it on there just the same way that they broadcast on
TikTok or Twitch or anywhere else, you know, it could just become another streaming channel kind
of thing. So, and I feel like, uh, but yeah, so alone Cooper, which Binks has been a huge supporter
of, uh, since, since day one, uh, Utah Carol is also in there. And then I've got, uh, there's the
acoustic music lounge. Um, and that's right there as well. And that's, I've got my music in there
today. And that'll be a spot that we can rotate, you know, acoustic music throughout. So when people
are like, Hey, I'm interested in, you know, listening to, to this or to that, there can be
that. So you're one of those people felons, you know, that it's, it's that type of, it'll be that
setting, you know, Binks has done a great job of saying, you know, we're going to build for
Meta Jacks in this way. And they, you, both of you have actually like been streaming out all the
Meta Jacks stuff for the past year, year and a half. Right. And for sure. Yeah. Yeah. But you,
you've been as well, you've been connected with them. If nothing else, you've been inside, Hey,
Meta Jacks, you've been inside their discord and a huge supporter for since you, since you've known
about them. And that's, you know, I think the part of the way you got here was from sitting inside
the token smart discord and growing and learning throughout all this. Um, so in fact, uh, Tim was
one of the first people that I connected in the NFT space and, uh, it was through grow your
base and that's how I got into the whole scene and going to the first, uh, uh, Meta Jacks
crypto jazz festival. That's how I got it. Well, I got into token smart a little bit before
that, but you know, meeting easy and elbow and, uh, smart digital payments and definitely
hanging with Tim. Uh, that was just like a, excuse me, uh, Jack's hideaway. Uh, that was
just a huge, uh, you know, turning point for me in the space. So yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's great to see. It's really cool to see how all of these are still
getting connected and growing. And I'm glad that Vince, you're the one that's, you know,
you're, you've got that stage spot. Cause if I understand correctly, like you're planning
on continuing to do things, you know, across the board with Meta Jacks, neither one of you
are leaving. You're both going to be supportive. And Meta Jacks has the crypto jazz fest. I'm
glad you mentioned it. That will be going out through the rest of the year. So yeah, this
Grammy party is really cool, but they've also got the crypto jazz fest. It's been going on
for a couple of years, steady in LA last I talked to, to them and in public on a Twitter
space, they mentioned that they were going to try and not just do one, but have multiple
throughout this year. So maybe, and take it across the country. So I'm hoping they come
into UNT cause that's, you know, like right down the street from me, I've got my neighbor,
you know, my, my neighbor next door, who is a retired school teacher, school music school
teacher, um, is a UNT alumni. So it's just, you know, it's really, it would be really cool
to be able to say, Hey neighbor, I know you're an alumni from this school. You want to go
to this jazz festival that's at your school since you teach music and you're an alumni
from this school and all those other things. It'd be just cool to, you know, have all that
happening. Like, let's go over here and do these things. And so, um, yeah, I'm hoping
they come into Dallas cause you know, it's right here and I don't have to travel to LA.
I wish I could, but my, my family kind of gets, or my wife looks at me funny when I
leave her with five kids. She's like, really? Uh, so she loves me and she loves what I do.
Exactly. You know, that's, that's her reaction right there. You're going to, and then she
expects like, if I'm going to do that, she better get a day out too. You know, there
better be some like manicures and pedicures or something that happened. So, but Binks, I
do want to, uh, your spot, you're going to be streaming in spatial tonight. You're not
tonight, tomorrow night. You're going to be streaming the after party. There's going to
be things going on over there. You've got your spots on the entrance and inside the spot
on OBR, but you're going to be hosting part of the party. If people wanted to join the
party and they wanted to jump into spatial because they like spatial. If we're going to
join the party in spatial, where are we going? Do you have links? Uh, yeah, we're
going to just keep doing it where we do all the, uh, Jack stuff and the artist
showcase one with the pyramid. So somebody is going to look at a artist
showcase. They can just type that in artist showcase inside studio artist
showcase. Yeah, that's, that's our main one right now, but we are working on a
festival stage. So hopefully by the time the crypto, uh, festival or jazz
fast comes, hopefully we can have that done by then. And then we can hold it
on that one, especially, and that could be the debut of that stage. If we could
get it done in time, why don't we drop all the links to, uh, spatial, uh, the OVR
names as well as, you know, the voxels, uh, parcel coordinates. I think I have
spatial in some of the tweets on my profile. Um, as for OVR with the bug
that OVR is having, um, we're at the mercy of just searching campus jacks
right now in the search and then choosing one of the live hexes to jump
into by mobile. So that's the way that's going to go. So we'll have to do that
little announcement unless OVR fixes their stuff. I sent a message in discord.
So I'm waiting to see for support if they're on it or even know about it.
I have a video of it, but I, I don't have nitro, so I can't post it in discord.
So what we can do is, uh, in this, uh, the actual spaces, we can do pins to it.
Yeah. You can put it down in the chat spot. So if you pin it up at the top, it
disappears from the space. You put it in the chat, it goes out to everybody. Um, and so
if you use that chat function, uh, yeah, just put it down there, say, join us over
here, do this thing, probably snap a screenshot or something. If you have it, let
people know this is how pretty it is. Right. And we're going to be live at this
time. Um, so I'm actually planning on, so while y'all set that up, while y'all
let people know where to go, um, I'll tell them this little thing. So tomorrow I'm
planning on being back over here on Twitter spaces, starting at 5 PM EST. And I'm just,
just jumping in, just kind of saying, Hey, let's go, you know, who's excited. And then
maybe taking tours, you know, going ahead and, uh, uh, of some of the spots that, you
know, on OVR or inside a space, you'll take them through the NFT music hall. You know, that
way, if they don't already have an avatar, if you don't already have, you know, what you
need, you don't know how to get in there. Well, before the party starts, you know, we
can kind of learn some of those things. We can get ready for it. We can, you know, if
you need wearables or your avatar, because who likes to be naked, at least put a shirt
on. Right. Maybe we can get some of those things passed out to some people as well.
Right. Yeah. Totally. Well, let's not forget that, uh, token smart is actually going to
be doing a live, uh, you know, call it, uh, streaming, but basically there'll be a hopping
between venues and, uh, projecting the, uh, avatar point of view into their, uh, live
stream. And that'll be a live chat. And, you know, a lot of times, uh, this whole group
of partners, uh, between meta jacks, uh, third planet and NFT musical and beyond, uh, we use
that as a, you know, a central communications, you know, uh, dropping crazy, uh, gifts and
whatnot, uh, central hub for, for chats. And so clearly we could drop, uh, some stuff in
Twitter as we go along, but, uh, just wanted to mention that. Yeah. We can definitely make
the tweet because there's also Dow records has a voxels. Also token smart had their voxels.
It's going to be your voxels are spatial and then the OVR. Now I don't know that this will
all fit in the characters for one tweet, but we can get it all in there. I think the spatial
one is the longest link and it doesn't let you shorten it, but. Well, I bet, you know,
you can, uh, do a, um, uh, what is it? Uh, a tiny URL. You can just go to tiny and you
drop in your long one and out comes a, a abbreviated, uh, link.
We'll have to try that later. Yeah. That's a sneaky way of doing it.
Tiny URL. But, um, I don't know if anybody's used that lately. It's been a while if there's
still an operation, but, uh, the most important thing is getting, uh, Arturo in this live stream.
He's going to be on stage. He's going to be, uh, coming out, uh, via both a, uh, YouTube stream
as well as Twitch stream. And we're going to be picking that up and putting into the respective,
uh, voxel spatial sites and then OVR, man, it's going to be so cool. And, uh, I'm just curious.
Um, one of the things I was, I was asking if, uh, there would be a possibility. And I guess this
question goes out to Tim, you responded to this a little bit, but, you know, being able to have like
a, a moment where everybody is prompted to, to get their app and start looking at, uh, the space
where they are seated or something close and see how AR works in a concert venue. I think that would
be really cool to kind of have a shared experience about it. And so one idea. Yeah. So a couple of
things that, from what I hear you guys talking about, uh, I see it being pretty dynamic and
throughout the night, uh, just pointing people, uh, to the OV to OVR. We'll have, of course,
we'll be scrambling, uh, the multiple venues up on the screens. And now this is a party. This is
really going to be a party. And, uh, I, I, what kind of gave me the idea of how this could flow
was when I went to Arturo's birthday party, uh, a couple of months ago. And, uh, it was pretty
awesome. So there was, you know, it was in his backyard. There were about, I guess, about 120 people
there. And, uh, he had a mariachi band that was just kind of, they were extraordinary. Best mariachi
band I've ever heard. I mean, could you imagine being a trumpeter in a mariachi band and then going
and then playing for Arturo's birthday party? But the cool thing was that, uh, whenever he wanted to,
Arturo just jumped up and started playing. Uh, I was, uh, sitting at the table, we, we, myself and Tony
and Arturo and, uh, uh, uh, Marinella were at the same table. And then every so often Arturo would
just pull out his trumpet and start playing just from his seat right there in his backyard. It was
awesome. And so that's kind of the precedent of what I want to, I want, uh, Arturo will play when
and how he ever, how he wants to, he'll play whatever instrument he wants to play. Tony's got a
great band there. So there's, we're going to have a really good band that can just do anything.
They'll have, uh, American song book standards and, uh, Arturo's, uh, repertoire also just ready
to go for whatever Arturo wants to do, whenever he wants to do it. And, uh, uh, otherwise, you
know, Arturo can have a cigar, Arturo can eat dinner and, and it will also, the, one of the goals is
to, uh, to have the wild camera just kind of every here and there also, uh, you know, tracking with
Arturo. Oh, look, check it out. Arturo's hanging with the people. Arturo's, uh, you know, chatting
it up. Arturo's having a cigar. He's out on the patio, whatever it is. Um, as cause it's, it's,
it, this is a, it's going to be a party. And, and, uh, so I'm looking forward to just that aspect
of it. And then the other thing that comes to mind is related to just, you know, I appreciate all the
work you guys are doing. And one of the things that I'm hoping that this year, uh, we get away
from in our communities. Cause you know, right here in the, in the folks on this stage right
now, uh, we, we're all part of, uh, several, uh, common communities and I'm trying to get
away from just doing one-offs where, wow, we all, you know, you go all in, I'm doing an
event, boom. And as a lot of energy, but then what do we do with that? Uh, we learn a lot of
things and that's how we've, in my opinion, we, uh, we're under the radar, but we're way out
in front of what most people are doing in our, in our circles, our circle. And I include in our
circle also, for example, Rizzle and what Rizzle has been doing. I mean, if you're not tracking with
what Rizzle does, then you're, you're, you're way behind on what's the cutting edge, uh, in the NFT
space, uh, just crazy stuff that he does every day that like us, we all kind of fly under the radar
a little bit. But what we need to do is, uh, take these efforts. Uh, my, uh, KPI or my goal
objective for this event is, uh, as it relates, especially to the builds you guys are doing
is to get 50 people in the IRL at here at campus Jack's at the venue, uh, into, uh, OVR. If we can
get 50 people to sign in, um, somehow meaningfully, and I'm, I'm hoping you guys have, have the means
to let folks, uh, register, sign up, sign in, get, get a freebie, NFT, whatever that might
be, you know, have your brand on it. Um, I'm hoping you guys are able to do that, but if
we can get 50 folks, because we'll have somewhere between 150, 200 people, um, it's sold out and
I expect, and we sell out at about 158 or so, but I expect we'll have a little bit of standing room
only going on. And, and so about a third of the crowd, if we get a third of the crowd to me, that
would be huge. Um, and, and worth it, but here's the big thing, whatever we do right now, uh, we need
to let it roll, let it ride. So keep these builds up, keep them live, let people who are then coming in
throughout the week, uh, experience these things. Uh, and, and let's just see how it goes,
see what we can do as far as getting people involved. And then more than that, that's why
we're going to, you know, these, uh, these eight events coming up plus the crypto jazz festival. So
the, the eight events, uh, we're calling mini fests, uh, rhythm and soul, uh, a celebration of jazz
and technology. Those would be one day events around the country on, on Saturdays, uh, running
between June and, uh, wrapping up in October. And so I'm just going to give you guys kind of the,
the overarching, uh, story arc here of what's happening. So those events will be on, uh, college
campuses and it's in conjunction with the Arturo Sandoval Institute. It's in cooperation, uh, with the
Institute, which I'm tightly aligned and we'll, and it'll also involve a masterclass with Arturo,
uh, where he'll, we'll use the auditorium and he will conduct a masterclass for students in the
community. Um, we'll have 20% of all the, uh, uh, tickets for the evening concerts. The evening
concert will go from basically like six to 10, uh, six, 20% of the tickets will be reserved for the
underserved community locally. 20% will be reserved for students. And then the other 60% will be sold
to the public. Uh, the daytime will be full of workshops, seminars, and a master's class with,
uh, Arturo. And it'll be a combination of, uh, of jazz workshops with the bandmates and then also,
uh, technology workshops, uh, with, uh, coding camp, uh, with, uh, intro to AI, just, uh, a real,
um, teaser for local underserved communities to come in and kind of learn some things and,
and, and, uh, hopefully become part of a continuing, uh, bootcamp operation that can,
that can take them into a, something that can be meaningful for a vocation, but your builds,
ideally, uh, we're going to see how these builds you're doing now, and maybe there'll be some, uh,
tweaking on them, but we'll carry on from tomorrow and continue to evolve and, and, and work, uh,
through all those events as well. So that, that way there's, there's, uh, some longevity to what it
is. All this effort you guys are doing, which is incredible, um, will become more meaningful by
having a longer life. And then, uh, also part of the crypto jazz festival itself, uh, which will be
here locally. Um, so that's kind of the long range thing. And then we're working on Arturo's next
project, which will, uh, we'll put the button on rhythm and soul at the end of these, at the
conclusion of these, uh, mini fests and the crypto jazz festival. And, uh, so at the end of the year,
we'll go into the studio and record the follow-up, which will, uh, be similar repertoire,
but it'll be big band because Arturo loves to write for big band and he's got extraordinary
players. So, uh, and that'll, then we'll kind of do it all again and, um, release that probably
not sure if we'll release that in 2024 or 2025, but, uh, we'll have a, we have got a long range
vision for what we can do with one of the most extraordinary musicians alive today and, uh,
for impact for community building, for freedom, for love, and to truly transform the opportunities
for, uh, artists and musicians that are exceptional.
So amazing. Uh, you know, do you have that written down as a roadmap?
Yeah. It's, uh, very clear in my mind.
Right. And we've got, yeah, we do. We're, we have a, a living document, a working document,
um, with, uh, Melody, who is Arturo's, uh, basically
manager and, uh, and, uh, the, the, the engine under the hood, uh, for his organization and
for the Institute. So we're working together on, on these things and expect we'll have,
for example, we'll have all the locations buttoned down, uh, for the mini fests by the
end of this month, by the end of February, we'll, um, have that announcement of what all
eight locations are. Um, uh, uh, kind of, I think I've given you guys a little bit of a sneak peek
on, on some of those and we are planning to be in Dallas area for sure. Um, but, uh, that'll all
be out and published and we're on a major sponsorship, uh, campaign right now. We've got some really cool,
uh, folks that we're, uh, expecting are going to be on board.
Um, and, um, and again, part of this is through the Institute, we'll be giving away, uh, certain
kinds of scholarships to students in need and working in cooperation with the schools of music.
And we'll also be giving, giving away, um, instruments from the Institute, uh, for students
who, uh, who need a better instrument. Um, and so, so that's kind of a cool feature
in what's happening here, as well as the technology piece.
You know, this is, uh, that balance is right. This is a lot to soak in, but, um, when you
say the technology piece and you mentioned having an AI part of your class that when you,
when you bring all this through now, do you know how many stops you said June through July?
Is that right? End of July, June through October, June through October. Okay. So that's it.
Yeah. Okay. It's a, it's a long arc, but, but at, by, by November, uh, I expect we'll be back in
the studio and that'll be the, uh, the end of, you know, the, the bookend for the rhythm and soul
era. And we'll be onto the next era, which tentatively we're calling journey to freedom.
Um, so will you have a traveling team that you, that you go with or you, how, how are y'all
organized or is it going to be a very tight? It'll be, it's, it's gotta be a small circle
because, you know, to pull these things off financially, you can't just be all over the
bar, but, um, it'll, it'll be a small circle. It'll also, of course, be, uh, featuring those
who are part of the MediJax family. Uh, that includes you guys, of course. Um, cause you've
been here all along and, uh, for some of you guys, uh, well, I don't know nobody on this
call, but, you know, Rizzle and some of those folks were there from day one, which was, you
know, uh, as it relates to these communities, our first broadcast into token smart was the,
uh, uh, what the last week of, uh, March in 2021. That was when we first, uh, busted out
into token smart. And that was our first, you know, so-called metaverse appearance, even
though we'd been working on it for the year prior. Um, that's, uh, you know, Trislet, Trislet
who, uh, was the actual first meaningful music NFT conversation I had. And that was at the
end of 2019. And our conversation kind of went like this. Yeah. Somehow NFTs are going to be
a part of music, but nobody's really done it yet. And so, uh, uh, we had a long conversation
and there were some folks working on some things. And then of course, in 2020, RAC came
out with his, uh, um, tokenized cassette tapes. And from there it all fell together. And then
by, uh, by, I think it was, boy, uh, this time in 2020 is also when Vandal first launched,
uh, Dow records. And there were, and he was the first to really do, um, a, a process oriented
NFT, um, for music, uh, where, where it was not just, uh, say a one-off. And so that's
why, you know, Dow records has been a great, uh, help in a great lift, uh, for us, uh, as
of this last summer, just to get the music out there and to create a pipeline to keep it
coming. Um, we're still working on some of the Ethereum side of things, but in this
case, the, the near community, uh, and the near blockchain is a, is a good solution and
it's accessible, it's available, it's affordable, all those things, which are, which are necessary
if you want more people to be able to find you. Um, near, uh, is a great community for
that. And I look forward to, you know, you know, getting to know those folks better and
to getting them involved. And, you know, it's still kind of surprising that this took, you
know, tomorrow we'll, we'll see just how far we can get, but you know, to have the first
NFT to receive a Grammy nomination is very cool. Uh, and it was also, you know, stated
as an objective back in May, 2020, when we first, uh, really conceived the notion that we
would do this album with Arturo, it was like, well, if anybody has a shot to get a Grammy,
it's Arturo, he's already got 10 of them. And, uh, and if we're committed to making this
an NFT album, then, Hey, it could be the first and lo and behold, there you go.
Yeah. He definitely is not unknown to, to other artists. Like, you know, he's definitely
that the HBO special is, is pretty extravagant. They did not get no names to play Arturo. So,
uh, just, just saying the, the actor, go ahead, meta.
Well, I was going to say, um, you know, of course, Andy, by playing Andy Garcia, by playing
Arturo in that film, now they are now close friends. Andy played bongos on two of the
songs. Um, you know, if you're, Arturo is one of those guys, uh, and they're, they're,
they oftentimes come from jazz. That's a musician's musician. So musicians know who Arturo is. Uh,
and that goes across genres. Um, cause the guy, if you guys were at, I think, uh, Tom,
were you in New York with us when he played at Birdland? I can't remember. Um, no, but Binks was.
Yeah. So it, uh, Binks, were you there at Birdland? No, I wasn't there for that show. When was that
one? That was in, uh, at NFT NYC, uh, November 2nd, 2021. And, uh, so yeah, we had a whole community,
uh, of NFT and crypto folks there, mostly from the, you know, the token smart crossover worlds.
Uh, there's about, I don't know, at least 16 of the OGs that you guys would all recognize that
were there. And, you know, for most of them, yeah. Yeah. Some, some of them were just, uh,
you know, you know, they would tell you that for some of them, it was life changing. They'd never
seen or heard music done like that. You know, when you're, when you're locked in a box and you
basically have headphones on for most of your music and you're, and it's, uh, coming through,
it's all, it's electronic. I love electronic music and there are some who do it really well,
but it's also done by everybody in their bedrooms, in their basements, in their, wherever they are,
you know, and now AI is going to be making it for us. So the problem with electronic music is that
it's so ubiquitous. It's like water. It's the elevator music of the future. And therefore,
when people experience something done live, something done right in front of you with real
instruments coming, you know, blowing through a piece of metal and hitting it, you know,
hitting strings with your hands and stuff like that. And they do it at such a level that is
natural to them. It's, it's, it's their primary language and they're talking, not just by themselves,
they're doing it with a band of seven that are at such a high level that, uh, you know,
it's just, uh, unbelievable. Then that's a life-changing, that's a transformational experience.
Yeah. Uh, I, I couldn't agree more. There's one of the things you mentioned about Arturo's birthday
party. Okay. Back before. And this is what I love. And I saw fifth world. I would, I hope you can come
back up. I don't know if you got disconnected, but I want you to come back up because you've done some
very cool things for everybody across the space that I did want to talk about, but I am going to
talk about this live music thing while you're sitting down. But Arturo's birthday party, you mentioned
that he just, he did, he played when he wanted to. Okay. And it's not just because he does what
he wants. He can. Okay. And there's, there's a key there, right? It's not just doing something just
because, uh, I want to, and nobody can tell me, no, no, he has the talent to where he can just jump
in and the people playing don't get upset that somebody just jumped in on their song without
telling them, Oh, you didn't practice with this, man. You don't play if you don't practice. We've all
been in those groups. Right. But when you have the amount of talent to where you're walking,
you're doing your own thing, you're in the middle of a conversation. You're like, Oh,
I feel this. And then you pick up your instrument and you blast it out through the, you know,
you just take that horn and you throw it out there and the whole band behind you, nobody gets
like nervous or shook. They all just continue to go the amount of talent that they have to stay
with it and not, you know, and not break and freedom in that, in that flow. It's,
it is a amount of talent. Yeah. At that level, musicians at Arturo's level, they don't learn
songs. They speak, they have conversations and it's, there's no foreign language to them
in music. They know them all because they recognize it. It's, it's, it's just so internal
to them. You know, it's, it's a whole different level of music. They are the Michael Jordans,
the LeBron Jameses, the Steph Currys of music at that level. And there's, and there's style
agnostic. There's nothing, there's no style. I mean, Arturo can do hip hop. Arturo can do
any kind, any form that you might throw at him. I mean, you could throw some Hindustani classical
music at him and he'll, and he'll hear it, vibe with it and get into it. Yeah. And that's,
that's really cool. He's, uh, I'm glad that he's the one to be, to have this opportunity,
uh, not just because he's got the stature and he, but he's got the respect from everybody
inside of music already. I mean, the dude played Disneyland for Christmas Eve. Like he was the
Christmas Eve with this past month at Disneyland. Like, come on now, you know, they could get anybody.
It wasn't Disneyland. It was Disney hall, which is even more prestigious because that's downtown LA.
That's the, uh, that's at the, the art center, downtown LA. And, you know, you packed it floor
to ceiling, four levels. And it was just people, people left their families, left their house to
go to this spot just for this thing. That's yeah. And packed it out. And yeah. So yeah, he's got the
respect of, of, of, like you said, of the artists everywhere so that this, this does, I mean, in the
front row, Hans Zimmer was in the front row of that show, you know, in the audience, right.
You leave me speechless, man. And, uh, but yeah, this is, this is a big moment for everybody inside
the music space. And, and I'm really glad I liked that. This is the way the party is going to be
in real life too, that it's going to be a party. It's not going to be a concert. It's not going to
be, uh, any, it's, it's a party. And, and that's good. That's the best part about this. You're
going to celebrate and you're bringing this to everybody else.
And I, and I, and I agree, you know, here's the thing. So I've been part of the DJ community for
since 20, late 2017, 2018. And this isn't exactly what DJs want. DJs want DJs are still looking
cross-eyed like Arturo who, what, what? I mean, it's not what they expect, but it's the way it
ought to be because this guy is the real deal. And so if we want to have a first in this space
and it's going to be, this is, this is the kind of thing that's going to be meaningful
50 years from now, you know, and, and, you know, I love guys like Blau, but if, you know,
Blau being the first NFT, I don't know. Right. Arturo makes a lot of sense.
Well, and you're taking this, you're, you're taking, Arturo is going to be going through
colleges from July through October, uh, and, and teaching these classes. So not, and that's
going to be key here. And I'm glad that you brought that up about, you know, what the
DJs want, but this first NFT music album is going to be talked about in colleges from
July through October, you know, there's going to be, and people that are coming in there who
and so, and it's going to mean something. There's going to be teachers. There's going
to be music teachers that go to that class, right? There's, it's not just young students,
but there's going to be people that teach other people that are going to go sit in this
class and then they're going to go teach other people. Yeah. You know, and that's going to
be, that's a big deal right now.
And that's why the, that's why the programming and coding, the boot camps, the AI, that's a
real important, important part here too, because frankly, underserved communities in our
metropolitan areas, music can only get them so far. And it's only for an elite few that
can really ride that out as we all know. But coding skills, AI skills, the technology that's
for everybody. That's the big democratizer. And that's, that's where we really need to
focus. And we use the music and we use the exceptional experiences that we can create that
events like this to be the driver, to unlock and to free, you know, our, our underserved
Yeah, I'm, this is, yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. My big goal, my, my reason for
getting into the space originally was because of education and music. And so I'm really glad
that you're, you're able, you have the connections that I know the guy that has the connections
that's going to be teaching the teachers that teach other teachers. And so this is, it's,
the space is so small. I didn't, I never in my life that, that I would have the opportunity
to sit with people like yourself and do these things. Just, just so open. It's, there's
no, and you're, you're not holding back. You're all about supporting other people and allowing
them to have that opportunity to do this same thing. Yeah, you're, you're not closed.
It's, it's really cool. And it's a great time to be in this space.
You guys have all been there working hard to make cool things. And, you know, I'm so
appreciate that because, you know, most people, they're always on at the back of the bandwagon.
It's easy to jump on when the, when the bandwagon, you know, like 2021, crypto NFTs were an easy
bandwagon to jump on, but the real builders it's painful. It's brutal. It's sacrificial.
It requires next level kind of commitment and vision. And you guys have been there doing
it and quietly, right under the hood. Uh, because it's just, it's not the, the big sexy glamorous,
uh, thing that, uh, that people long for, but it's going to be effective. It's going to be
long-term and the value proposition is extraordinary, not for today, not for tomorrow, but down the
road. No, most definitely. I was talking to altered about this earlier. And so, and I'm going
to brag on him just, just a little bit, but altered works or gets to play with a lot of different
applications before anybody else does. Um, he was, if you looked up Arkansas, uh, the state,
if you could actually just, if there was one spot where you could look up, you know, like all the AR
content that's in this one spot and Arkansas, his spot of Arkansas would be like, if they were
color coding, you know, like bright red, like heat, you know, his would be glowing. Like you
wouldn't be able to see the rest of the night. It would be glowing from that spot. He's got so many
different apps that he's had the opportunity to work on and nobody will ever know. Like you said
that quietly under the hood, we, you know, we get to see him every day. So we're almost like, Hey man,
stop telling me about all these apps, you know? But at the same time in the future, all of these
things that other people are going to use, like the tools that we see in the next five
years, the, the, all, you know, he will have his voice when he responds back to these apps
to say, I like this. I don't like this. It's not just that he's using them just to buy it.
No, he's giving his opinion back. And so all of these things are being affected. The things
that we're going to use later are affected by people like this, that they're just that star
on the wall, no name, just a star, right? Boom. Somebody did it. We know somebody did it.
You know, there's a count, there's a number. It's somebody gave their opinion.
And who's, well, you know, it was people like Altered, people like Beings, people like
Felons, people like Fifth World. And I'm going to say this about Fifth World, even though they're
down there. Wrote this song, created a song, wrote like, I mean, just, and about everybody
that's worked, not just about everybody that's been in the community, but wrote a song about
over the reality, really the community on over the reality. And that, you know, that goes a
long way, put in the time, put in the effort. The lyrics, they're not cheesy lyrics. Okay.
You can tell there wasn't just written overnight. And that's actually one of the spots that's
over your spot right now is, is that music track, uh, over on campus check. So all the
spots on over the reality, there's going to be that main stage, right? Uh, it's, there's
the main stage built by Beings. And there's, those are the spots when you're in there in real
life and you're going to open the app and you're going to go to the spot that you're
at, right? Third planet studios. That's all credit goes to third planet studios. And if
they want to shout out to people that they have in those builds, you know, please by all
means, but you know, third planet studios have done an amazing job of making sure that
that is, you know, made for MediJax. I think y'all went through the mapping, y'all went through
the pictures, took the time to make sure that things were placed in the right spots. It's
not super easy to do that, especially when you're working in these floating worlds, but
you, you took the time, you put in the effort. I know because you, you, you seem, you have
seen some messages where you're just like, Hey, I want this information and you don't
hold back and you make sure you get it and you get it right. So huge shout out to you.
Everything surrounding those spots though, it's just going to be like all kinds of different
stuff. We've got, uh, the Moss brand who's going to New York fashion week. They brought
in some of their designs along with Rins Winders and the Web3 Familia.
who have been teachers. They've been focused on the Latino community and doing an amazing
job over there. I know, uh, Chris, who's Christian, who's been doing an amazing job and they weren't
making money. This wasn't probably, it goes back to what you were saying, MediJax. It wasn't
about, you know, right now it's about that longterm. And so I'm bringing in, you know, starting
the classes, making sure there's material where people can get information easily. And so that
whole community there, uh, they've been grown. We've got that stuff on display, but then there's
people like Alon Cooper. Okay. Who's a busker and who's over in Israel, but now gets to busk
right there at Campus Jacks. You know, there's this live video of him in the Netherlands when
he was traveling the world doing music just on the street. Uh, so that's kind of cool.
That's right there on, on one of the corners. We've got Utah Carol. Uh, I've got some music
in there and then, yeah, there's just all kinds of, I think Ellen designs is going to have some
stuff on display. There's Alan Walker. Who's done that amazing build, uh, just all over spatial
and over the reality as well. All those things are going to be out there, but fifth world, uh,
at some point we're all going to jump in because there's the pictures and PFPs of some of the people
he named, I threw in a couple more like third planet studios and Alan Walker. Cause they've
just been really, uh, just doing the deal and staying consistent and making sure that
things work properly and supporting the community. So all those things are in there. Um, yeah,
I'm just, I'm super stoked about what's happening this weekend. MediJacks, I have to say one more
time. Thank you for being open to working with everybody and not being just closed off.
Right. And saying, no, I'm going to, I'm only going to work with these types of people
because again, you're, you're allowing people that would not, I would not have normally had
the opportunity to just do this. Had it not been for somebody saying, here's the opportunity
to do this. So thank you for, for doing that opening the door. It's a pleasure. And as you
know, in this world, and let's call it web three or whatever you want to call it. Um, it's
not about platforms. It's about communities. And what happens is that when opportunities
and money starts flowing and that kind of a thing, we see, we see that people show their
true colors and they kind of, uh, forget the mission. They forget the vision in this case,
these are the opportunities for those who've really been here and been doing it, which are,
are you guys and, and others, uh, where we share this cause we are community and act any
other way. It would be to, uh, would be hypocritical and to, and violate the actual principles that
we are founded on. Uh, you know, Hey, if we get a mod mistake, for example, uh, to, uh, to
get involved on these festivals, I'm not saying he will, but let's say he does, because I would
love to have that dude involved. Um, then he's the guy behind the stability, right? If you
know, if you're familiar with that, um, then you guys need to be there and, and, you know,
soak in from, from, from guys like that, in my opinion, that's the, that's the magic. Uh,
and, and, and that there's another guy whose principles and values are, are in order as far
as I'm concerned. Yeah. And that's, thanks again. I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to stick
around a little longer. My wife thinks I'm crazy sometimes, but it's all good. I'm going
to stick around because this is, this is too good. I do want to soak in those things. I
do like being able to sit inside the rooms and cause I'm not the smartest guy in the
room. I don't, my goal is to try not to be the smartest guy in the room. I want to soak
up from the smartest guy in the room. Okay. Um, if I am the smartest guy in the room, I'm
in the wrong room. Right. So this is, this is too good. And who better do like, who better
learn from than the people teaching the teachers. Right. So this is, this is too
cool. Felons. I know you had your hand up a long time ago and I kept running my mouth
because I'm a jerk, but I think I said that in the tweet when I announced this
thing that, Hey, I'm probably just going to run my mouth, but what is up? And I'm
sorry if I miss you. Hey, no worries. Uh, the, you definitely were riffing on, uh,
something that did not, uh, you know, it wasn't gonna, uh, you know, fit what my
question is right now. And that the question is back to the, you know, preparing, you're
going to have the space you said starting at 5.00 PM, uh, Eastern time. Yeah. So I'll
open a Twitter space tomorrow afternoon. Uh, so 5.00 PM EST and, and just have that going
because I think the actual party starts at like 7.00 PM. Yeah. So that should, that should
hopefully, uh, give some time so people can, if nothing else, I can be sitting in
here and, you know, just, you know, sharing stuff about like, you know, going to the
discord, uh, going to the NFT music hall. Oh, you don't have a wearable, you're
naked. Okay. Well here, you know, like, let's get you connected with somebody that
can, you know, make you not naked and make you not look homeless in the
metaverse. Totally. Well, as part of that, the, the question that I had was, uh, and Tim,
this goes to you really, uh, well, the Grammys are going to be going on and, uh, the, uh, recipient
of, uh, that Grammy award will be, um, determined sometime before 7.00 PM. What would you like to
do, uh, about that? You know, um, Oh, well, I mean, it'll be, it'll, by the time our party
starts, it'll be known, uh, whether we want it or not. Right. So exactly. Because, uh, I don't,
for those of you who don't know how these award shows work and they're all pretty much the same,
uh, with the, the Grammys from 1230 to three 30, they have what they call the premier show.
And during that show, um, and it's down the street from crypto.com and, uh, they giveaways or they
announced 72 of the, uh, more or less 84 awards. Right. And at the, what they call the telecast,
um, show, which is the one we all see on television, um, that show, uh, starts like five 30,
uh, uh, and it goes on until it ends. And that's where they give away the, the, the big three are
the big 12. I mean, so imagine there's like, there's the 12 major awards. They save them for
that show. And then they also have all the performances that people love to see all those
performances. And, um, and then during, as they go to commercial breaks, if you remember, then
they'll say like, also in this category and in that category, in that category, they'll, they'll,
they'll rattle off some of the winners from the earlier show. Uh, but, but we're in that earlier
show, you know, uh, best Latin jazz album is part is, is not one of the majors, so to speak,
that they, that go away during the main telecast. So we'll know already. And we'll be, here's the
thing. We're going to have a party. We're going to enjoy it. Whether we win or not, uh, you know,
Arturo has 10 of these. And like he has said, he said, Hey, sometimes the crazy ones win. You
don't expect them to win. And the ones you thought are your best, they don't win. So whatever the case,
we're going to celebrate the fact that it's the nomination and we're going to have a, have a,
have a party Arturo style, no matter what. Absolutely. And I, I was definitely not
questioning that at all. And, uh, the main question was whether or not you want to share
it, uh, if it comes to be at the time you find out. Oh yeah, definitely. We'll, we'll be there.
We'll be there at the Grammys. And when it goes down, I'll send a tweet out for sure. Perfect. And
you know, we, you know, with the, the space that Hex has open, uh, we'll, we'll have that moment to
discuss. Well, what time, what time are you going to start your space? Uh, Hex? 5 PM Eastern,
which is 2 PM, uh, West coast. Yeah. So it's possible that you'll be, that you'll be live by the,
uh, about the time when that category is announced. So I I'll just come on and, and, uh, I'll come on
live. Yeah, totally. All right. Well, I just want to put that out there because, you know, let's do
that. Bring the goodness, whatever it is. This, this is, I've never been a part of like anybody
that's, you know, gotten a grant. Like I've known people that like, after, you know, that's like you
meet them and it's like, Oh, you, you were a part of a team that got a grant, but that's cool. But I
wasn't, I never knew it. Like when it was happening, this is the first time it's like, I, you know,
I don't know that guy, but you know, I know a guy that knows that guy. Right. Well, I'm so stoked.
So, uh, we've covered a lot of ground here. Uh, I got a jump right now. Um, um, you know,
let's stay in touch and, uh, everything, uh, that we've talked about it. I think NFT music
hall is pretty much ready to roll. And, uh, the ideas of getting some sort of, um, branded
giveaway, uh, airdrop per, uh, venue. Uh, I'm going to work on that. Do you have a recommended
platform that you'd like to perhaps be consistent? Because well, Trislet is here, you know, we did,
them all, I think off of third web, right? Give me a thumbs up if that was right.
He's multitasking, but, uh, the whole idea is, um, well, you know, we could have something
co-branded or individual and Hey, Trislet is speaking. Yeah. I just got, I just got brought
up while you said that. Yeah. But yeah, yeah. The first one. Oh, New Year's. Yeah. I'm trying
to remember the, uh, that's a good question. I think my New Year's Eve when I did on manifold,
like drop pages and stuff, but I don't manifold. Right. Right. Even. Yeah. That's clean. Yeah.
Yeah. That was, that was primarily by design just to make it easy to throw something up and
segregate, like drop individually. So he could drop links like one after the others that have
like one page, but either way it works. They're all pretty slick. Right. Absolutely. And so with
that, um, you know, definitely, uh, individually we can, you know, have our, our venue, uh, contract
set up manifold, uh, and generate our own. But I just wanted to cover that really quick. Yeah. That
just, that just puts it, you know, either on, uh, I guess on Ethereum doesn't matter. I think if
everybody has, if every venue has something special to put out there and airdrop or make available
mintable, whatever, um, get on a list, then I think that makes this thing all the more
fun. And I kind of see, uh, hex in spaces and maybe trizlet and dragon eight on the, on
the token smart discord as conductors kind of pushing people to the different worlds to
go get their NFTs, you know, to go visit each world. Yeah, that's, it's, it's, it's
interesting. Like, uh, well, we've had a lot of experience in event generation stuff and
it's interesting how, uh, how much cleaner these things run when you have like, I guess
what would it be like a show producer in a way? Like the producer is the person who gets
the links beforehand and then has timed intervals where, you know, okay, everybody 15 minutes
in, I'm going to drop this first link. This is going to send you over to third web. So
we aligned on where they're going and we're all talking, telling people correctly. And then,
you know, okay, give everybody 20 minutes there. And then we're all going to send them over
to NFT music hall where they can have a clear link, clear guest list, clear drop page that
they go to. Like, yeah, this is part of the, I, yeah, I'd see the same thing. That's sort
of like me to a more, to a bigger extent, probably dragon eight. He's usually better on point with
a lot of that stuff, but yeah, whenever we get them, the info and times, right. So we're
all aligned. Like I, things go really smooth. So yeah. And I think if a hex, if hex kind
of tracks with dragon eight and then they can kind of make sure they're pushing people
to the same worlds at the same time would be really cool.
Yeah. This part of this is all just having, like I ended up finding myself like in the
background, like trying to manage multiple video audio streams and recording it in one
feed. So I've noticed when I do that, I usually end up being pulled away from chat and I'm
not as active. So having dragon eight there to back me up, this makes it a hell of a lot
I like it. I'm with it. I'm down for this. Like, honestly, I think I'm going to be talking
to people, like telling people, you know, this is what I was going to spend my time doing
anyways. Hey man, how are you not at the Grammy metaverse party, checking it out? You got to
be here. So having directions on like where, and like, you know, communication, I think
that's the word I'm going to use. They're just that communication with the people somewhere
else that are doing the same thing. It's like, Oh, Hey, you're at this thing too. Tell me
where you're going. Let's all go together. Right. What's up, Binks?
Well, one thing that we finally got locked in, it took us a minute to customize the video,
but we've got for the intermission on OVR, we've got a comedian skit from Chad Shapiro.
Chad Shapiro, we go way back. He used to be in the trio with Victor Boteto and Tommy Gooch. And
they had all these YouTube videos. They'd be like driving in the car on the way to their
shows on tour. And, and during the winter, they had this shed in the backyard where all
three of them used to sit in this little tiny shed and do their skits. It was totally hilarious.
But we've got Chad Shapiro for the indoor OVR hex that we're building on. So that's going
That is cool. Cause so, and because it's this party thing, right? So are you going to, is
that going to be like live the whole time? Like anybody could jump in at any time or you're
going to drop it in at a specific time? What does that mean?
I think we're going to let it run because in the beginning of it, we do have the promo for
our tarot and the whole event. So I think that's like a 45 second, uh, video. And then his
is maybe four minutes long. Um, but we might have that just on replay and we'll have the
stage. It'll be above the actual real life stage. So not obstructing any view or anything
like that as best that we can line things up. But, um, yeah, yeah, it's going to be cool.
Yeah. And I don't think, Hey, this is going to be messy and just to get people in there and to
experience it. I think we just let these things run the whole time. And you know, if it's a sitting
on top of the stage and just kind of rolls over whatever, so be it. I think it's a victory just
to get people that are in the IRL experiencing the AR from OVR. So I think that's, you know,
that's, that's the goal of this time is not to, it's not going to be necessarily a seamless,
pretty experienced yet, but we're going to learn a lot and it's going to be really cool just to
kind of see how the IRL inter engages with this AR. You know, Tim, you're at the club all the time.
How many, like, do you have a lot of regulars that are returning customers over there? Or does
it seem like a new crowd all the time, depending on who's playing? No, it's both. It really, it really
depends on the act that's there. Uh, you know, I mean, our list is like what? 14,000, 15,000,
so you, you can't really, it's not like cheers, right? We're really more of a performance venue,
uh, uh, with a bar and with good, with great food. Uh, I call this what we are as a performing
arts center in a, in an intimate club setting. So, you know, a sellout for us like tonight is
about 158 people. We'll standing room only. We'll have some of that going on. So we'll probably be
at about a hundred and I'm guessing probably about 180 when it's all said and done. So it's a small
place. And, uh, but the, but our, we're fortunate. Our audio is incredible. We've got the support of
QSC. They take care of us in a great way. We currently have a one of a kind proto in there
that they're working on. That'll be, it's a, it's their midsize line array that doesn't even go to
market till July. It sounds incredible. Our engineering staff, our audio engineers are fantastic.
So we have a really great sounding venue. Uh, but as far as, you know, uh, do I know a lot of people
that come in? Yeah, I do. But because I know people, um, but it's not like the same old, same
old. So that means over the course of the coming weeks, these spaces are going to be exposed to
a lot of different people, thousands. Awesome. Yeah. I'm just thinking, cause you know,
the regulars, they download the app once as long as they don't delete it afterwards. If they're
returning customers, they get to see, you know, how these, uh, the secondary AR world, uh, you know,
changes and customizes, you know, we could do that going forward. That's kind of what we're
building around now. So, you know, for the Thursday nights. Yeah. It's never easy to get
people to download something and then to engage in it. It's never easy. And, you know, as we know,
in the crypto NFT space, none of this stuff's easy, not yet. We're a ways off. We're a couple
of years off from things getting any easier. So it's just a matter of helping people through,
you know, people are curious. They want to know what's going on over here now. They really want
to know because, you know, they've been here. Those have been coming through and coming to
multiple shows at our joint. They've been hearing this NFT talk now for, you know, over two years.
And so I like, well, what's going on here? You know? Uh, so it's great for them because now
they're like, Oh, I gotta, I gotta get in. I gotta see what this is all about. What's
this Grammy stuff now we're getting, we're into, you know?
Exactly. Is, uh, you know, one thing I'm looking forward to, um, what channel is the
Grammy is going to be on? Do you guys know? Cause I'd like to watch it of course, at the
same time. And are they going to be mentioning CBS? Are they going to be mentioning that this
is, uh, you know, NFT album? Highly doubtful. Yeah. Cause we're still so far ahead and so
far off the grid. Hey, look at it right now. Uh, Koopa Troopa, you know, the Mr. Music
and NFTs, he gave us just one friendly mention back when the nomination happened. Cause like
I said, the DJs don't really want, this isn't really their, their recipe for how NFTs break
in, but it's the way it ought to be because we're talking about a world-class musician's
musician. He's a musician of a generation of a lifetime. Uh, so it's the way it ought
to be, but that's for us, you know, really old, really old OG types who understand the
