All right, all right, all right. How's everybody doing? Doing great. How are you doing?
I'm doing good. I'm doing good. Looking forward to another Twitter space. Another Friday. Yeah, it's gonna be a fun one, I think. Yeah, it should be good. Let's see, Kevin, you're the only one that's gonna be on from the DJ and Royale.
Yes I am. Hey everyone. Good to be here. Hey Kevin. Nice to meet you. Are you also Mr. Oranges? Nice to meet you too. How's it going?
So are you are you Mr. Liz or is Mr. Orange is someone else? I am Mr. Orange is bad you can call me Kevin Excellent. Okay, we'll do we'll do
What's up, Battern? What's up, Guillermo? Hi, Bolly Dawn, Paula. Hi, everyone.
Let's get the room to fill up. Everyone here, if you can, please tweet the link, invite a friend or two. Let's get a bunch of people in here for this Friday space. It's going to be a fun one. As always, one is it not fun, right? That's right.
It's definitely more fun when they've got the cash gun. So wait, we're gonna have to figure out what that even is. Yeah, we'll get that. Yeah, we're gonna have to. I'm actually fascinated by all the guns. I will get into it, but I was looking at them and I was like, "I first thought
like, I was like, oh, it's a shooter game. Like, you know, I'm not like super down with the violins necessarily. But then I looked closer and I was like, oh my god, all the guns are like candy shooting guns or like banana guns or beer guns are like, all these like non-violent guns which sounds like an oxymoron but totally cool, totally cool. So we'll have to dive into
So we can talk about that. But yeah, okay, so welcome back everybody to another back community to our space. Today we are in the back cave with DGeneryal. Welcome, Kevin, aka Mr. Orange's from DGeneryal. So for anyone unfamiliar, DGeneryal. Thank you, DGeneryal.
where it's an honor, it's a complete honor, we're really excited. So just a little high overview and then I'll let you get into the nitty gritty of DeGenerno Royale, tell us about the game and all of that, but just as sort of a high level you get us started, DeGenerno Royale is a multiplayer shooter game that uses your PFP
you're in-game avatar. Ooh, it is also the world's first play to socialize community, bringing a whole new level of fun to web through gaming, NFTs, and the Metaverse. I mean, if that doesn't sound fun, what's fun? You know what I'm saying? I almost end up missing the spaces. That's how fun. Oh, because you were playing.
I love that. That would have been a good excuse to miss today's faces. It looks like it's mainly family in here right now, but we're going to do a quick overview of that in Brave. Since these are recorded and people tend to listen after the fact, just want to give everyone a little overview.
of our project. So for anyone visiting from outside, we are the Bat community, the basic attention token community. So basic attention token or Bat is an Ethereum based utility and rewards token in a new blockchain based privacy respecting advertising platform piloted by the Brave browser.
You can think of that as a unit of account between publishers, users, and advertisers who brave considers to be the three main participants of the web. And Brave is a fast and secure web browser that blocks creepy third party ads, including ads on YouTube and trackers by default. Instead, it enables users to earn tokens, that of course.
by choosing to see ad that our privacy respecting. That can be used to support your favorite content creators, digital publishers or causes through tips, which is a contribution, you know, Patreon style contribution system that's built natively into the Brave browser. You can also use that to purchase items in several blockchain based games, transact
in crypto, mint NFT and more. And on top of all of that, the Brave Browser Ships are a private search engine called Brave Search which uses its own index and the Brave Wallet. A user-friendly, native multi-chain crypto wallet that doesn't require a browser extension like other hot wallets such as Metamask or Phantom.
addition to while it comes preloaded with support for multiple crypto networks and offers that support for Ethereum, EVM compatible ecosystems and Salona. All right. Thank you guys for bearing with me. Let's go around and do intros now. I'll just do a quick one since I already have the mic. My name is Jenny. I'm speaking for my own account
today. So yeah, you can go find me there afterward. But I am director of community and partnerships at Baton Brave. I am based in Montreal, Canada, in the freezing cold right now. And I've been working for Brave since early 2018 after coming into the community earlier that year. You can reach out to me about anything, community and partnerships related.
And really anything in general. I'm here. You can DM me anytime. DMs are always open. And then from the team today, we've got Drew. We've got Guillermo. We've got Bader and I see Paula as well. We also have Nikki in the audience. So we've got a couple of people on the team here. So we'll go around and do team intros and then we will
introduce Kevin aka Mr. Oranges so maybe Drew you can kick us off. Hey everybody Drew over here on the back community account again today and also got my personal account on my PC that's a little because you pinged one down there so usually you can find me in the
the BAPAGADE Discord server here on Twitter, doing the community stuff, enjoying every minute, and looking forward to this space, talking about some shoot-em-up style stuff. The infotex is right up my alley. So let's go. Love that. Love that. Okay, better, and take it away.
Hello, I'm Baton. I'm head of the Baton Bastards and what we do is we bring the good word of baton brave across platforms and cultures and create opportunities like this. Yeah, thank you. Thanks, Patron. Here.
Hello everyone, I'm Gleeram. I am an artist and I create illustration and design for Brave and Basic Time to token. I create visually stimulating pieces to support and engage with the community. And now I can say that I'm officially better at DGN Royal, BenBetter. So I'm very happy about that.
spark of some fierce competition here. You have to be careful what you say on this space. I won against entry time. He hasn't bought a gate through the cash yet. Okay, Paul, I want to say a quick hi.
Yeah, hi everyone, I'm Baula, I'm from Costa Rica. I manage the Bat Costa Rica account here in Twitter. I do some partnerships and anything Spanish/letembe related so feel free to reach out and also if you would like to read and see more details
about today's space. We will be sharing a summary in the Babriki Discord on the AMA called recap channel and also here on Twitter. So yeah, thank you and welcome. Thank you so much Paola. Yes everybody, definitely check out our spaces
And then of course we have Nikki in the audience as well. It looks like she's just a listener right now. Obviously welcome to come up if you'd like Nikki. But Nikki's role is hard to define. She does so much for her.
a brave and the back community. She's an MVP. So hey, Nikki. And then of course, last but not least, we have Mr. Oranges or Kevin aka Mr. Oranges from DGEN. Right. Hi Kevin. Welcome. Welcome. Hi. Thank you.
Thank you. Yeah, I'll give a quick one as well. My name is Kevin and I'm the co-founder of Interverse and Co-Creator of DeGenerate Out. We're all about enhancing community engagement and bringing a fun experience into the Web 3 space through hyper-social gaming and digital collectibles.
I love that. Nice and concise too. And what's your background Kevin do you have background in video game development or what were you doing prior to the general? Before we actually launched this I come from a digital product manager background. I used to work for both commercial organizations.
So my last employer was actually the natural government where I was a senior product manager for our identification system. So that is a complete different world of Web 3. But in that time, I met my co-founder in 2018 and we started our
our main company 2019 during which we mostly focused on creating voice and AI technology for enterprises. So we worked with different kind of companies like Verizon and TimoBall, these kind of talcos where we created these AI solutions for. >> That's very cool. Okay, what an interesting today.
I love that. Excellent. Tell us a little bit about DGN for people who don't know the game or are familiar who have never told us about it. Give us a couple of other things to do and maybe tell us how it used to be along the road.
So that one is available in the game. But did you really honestly just a small fragment of what we're working on and what's about to come this year especially. So we're now working with some very very big Webtoon brands that have millions of community fans that we're also onboarding into the world of
digital collectibles and the gameplay. We're also working with a lot of Web 3 and FT native projects that come into the game as well. And it is basically now our mission to get, how do we get 1 million players into our virtual environment to have fun with each other and have some social gameplay.
love that. And by the way, I think you just spilled some to you. I'm sorry. I wasn't sure if that was already communicated, but somehow better to spill it and provide the
I think this is a great way to announce it. I don't know Adam, maybe you want to chime in there because you were largely behind what was going on. I was going to say what I basically heard is that I didn't mint enough cash goods.
I'm genuinely really, really excited about this. A lot of like so few like Web 3 games actually fun to play, but this is really, really fun. It's very basic at the moment, but in a way I'm enjoying that because you don't have to worry about like the kill
streaks and you know all that rubbish you just shoot you have a guy and it's really really fun. Yeah I think you get a point there that's one of the reasons why we wanted to create simple games it's also because you can just you can hop on in you can play the game it's casual gaming there's no complex storyline or different things yeah
have to collect in order to upgrade your character. It's all very casual, hyper casual gaming. You can just jump in and within the next two months we're also working our way towards a mobile release and it just makes it so much easier to just hop on it and have a game with someone. And that's really the point. Just shooting someone
and then going on a voice chat together and just having fun with that. Yeah and I think Adam Battern has been leading some games with our community in DGN Royale recently so that's pretty cool. But you so you mentioned that the Brave PFP is available in the game as of today and I think what you're referring to is that that X
Adam ape pfp. So yeah, oh there it is. There it is somebody just pinned it up. Whoo. Oh my god guys check that out. Check that out. That is so amazing. Alright. Yeah, I think it turned out really well. It looks fantastic. It looks fantastic. Okay, so
Okay, so I am a bat XAA and Ft holder. What do I do now? I have not played the game yet. How do I get in there? How do I, you know, set my avatar to my PFP? Yeah, so right now what you can do is first of all download Steam if you don't have
Steam already. That's through which we published the game. So you can find it on the Digimon Royale. And after you've downloaded the game, you start it up and there will be a button where you can register your account. And once you register your account, you can basically paste your Solana wallet address into your Played Ashboard
And it will load up every single character that you can load or every single item that you have that is playable inside the game. It's a read only so it's very safe and secure and that way you get to play with your characters. So for now we have this one, we have this one that you can see in the image right now.
Now, by next week, we also updated to have the other variations of the NFT itself. So it's a super simple process. We try to keep it as easy as possible. That's awesome. OK, so there'll be one for each. We've got four tiers in our-- or three tiers in our NFT collection. So I guess there'll be an avatar for each.
Yeah, yeah, exactly. That is awesome. Okay, so you sure that guys if you are a that a NFT holder, you can just download steam. This is not an in browser game. You've got a lot of steam, but super small doesn't take up space on your computer really and just connect your cell. So I want to wallet.
No, no, no, no. Well, the key things that which is absolutely brilliant about it is I know a lot of people have their gaming computer separate to their crypto computer and you don't need to actually connect anything to play with your NFT. You just put your wallet in.
Gotcha. Okay. Cool. So even easier. That's great. We're like like you just pay like copy and paste the address and it'll Carry it over or what? Yeah. Yeah. And then I put it in the game. Okay. Cool.
Yeah, I think there will be different implementations as we move forward. But we figured what is the easiest way to reach someone's wallet without having any security compromised there and what makes it the safest way to actually get your assets in there.
especially last year was crazy with how many people got scanned and how many wallets got compromised and drained. So we wanted to create something that was safe, secure and just still fun to play with. And that's why we went for a simple implementation.
Word. Okay, that's awesome. So great. And by the way, I'm now looking more closely at the 3D rendering you did of our PFP. And it's so nice. I love it. You did you guys did a great job. Thank you so much for that. Okay. P-W-P-F-P, right? What a clever idea. I love that.
both in the sense of unifying various PFP projects in one game, creating that sense of cross-community, camaraderie, love that. But what other PFP's are accepted and recognized by the game currently?
Oh, Kevin, you're on mute.
Yeah, we have quite a bit sorry, I forgot I was a mute. We have quite a bit of characters in there now. I think we're up to 35 to maybe even 40 of different ones and what I can do is I can share the public getbook
that everyone can have a look at because that makes it a lot easier. I'll post that after this as well. And the characters that we have, I'll not name them all, but just to name a few, we have the degenerate ape academy. We have the
We have huge, we have trashpandas, we got brave in there now, we got the galactic geckos, there's such a variation of different characters, we got dino dogs and we got soul dogs yesterday as well. Yeah, we're trying to expand
And we see that there's a lot more 3D NFT projects that are kind of reaching out to us as well and saying, hey, can we get into the game because we have a lot of people and a lot of holders that are looking for a fun utility? And I think that's exactly what we've looked for.
when we started this is how do we connect all these communities together in a fun and engaging way and then also get them all together into one community where we can just have fun whether that's from Solana or it comes from Athas or from Ethereum we all just get together and we have fun.
We were playing and I think it looked like a mutant ape, Kablehog, this ray gun, it's like a machine gun. Yeah, so there's our very first gun drop that we did was a banana blaster and then after that it was the candy gun which is now a machine gun.
And the last one that we did was a cash gun, which is a shotgun in the game. That is sort of the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,#
to early drops from our Web2 partners as well. So there's a there's a ringing of benefits that we give to gun owners as well other than being able to have fun with them inside the game. Amazing. So just to pack up for a second. So the game is BYOPSB. But then you got a gun.
in order to obviously participate and play the game. It is a super game and the gun cells teach NFTs. And so like I was saying earlier, a few were people on. When I first heard the game, I was like, "Oh, the shooter game." And not really. But then,
I think it's on Kevin's and I think the Kevin's with all speakers and that would be back. Yeah, it's perfect. Thank you Kevin.
Yeah, okay, so yeah as I was saying so you've got a purchase like gun which is an NFT now all the guns are kind of like nonviolent like we were saying the banana blaster the candy gun the cash gun the beer gun So I guess like yeah tell us a bit about each of those what different benefits you know holding
each gun affords and I guess separate question. Well actually I'll ask that next. So tell us a bit about all the different guns and what's the benefit of having one gun versus another? Yeah. So the whole reason we went for these funny Iraqi things is because we did not and we will not try to
be anything like a call of duty or a fortnight or anything of the likes of that. We want to create our own fun experience and we wanted it from the start to be not a super violent game with bombs and blood and these kind of things. We wanted it to be a fun experience and a fun environment where we could also onboard web
two brands into that that they feel comfortable with. And one of the things that we started out with was the banana blaster, which is sort of a revolver in the game that has more firing power than a normal pistol. Then the candy gun is a machine gun, which was based on to the candy machine of the Salana and a tea system.
And that allows you to have the machine gun power inside of the game. And the last one was the cash gun and the cash gun was a drop we did on Ethereum to also kind of include the e-th fam into the game as well because we have so many different Ethereum characters, community characters in there as well. So the main benefit
that you hold from this other than it having different firing power inside the game is you get to use if you own a gun you get to load your own personalized character so your NFT will be in there. We have entire collections in there already like the DAA the trash pandas or royars we're gonna have the brave
there as well. So you will have the opportunity to load your own character rather than playing with the standard base model. There's going to be collector items so you can pick up around the islands we have a campaign system that allows you to collect items which will be done with different kind of partners. So you can pick up items that you can later
on exchange for different goods. There are special drops, so we are doing free drops, we are doing special drops that are discounted and all these kind of things that make the game play more fun. And the tournaments are a big one. So tournaments and inter-fan battles, so we want to connect different communities together and let them battle each other.
And one of the big things in that is we're since we're onboarding all these webtoop brands into the space we're literally taking in Hopefully if all goes well millions of fans from communities We recently announced our partnership with Benfica, which is a football club from Portugal. Thanks. We have about 15 million
We're doing the same for them. We're creating a collectible system. We're onboarding them into the game. They're going to have their own island. What we foresee is that we want to create battles where we can connect Web 3 to Web 2 and do interfam island battles where there's going to be tournament
that are going to be connected to real-in-life items as well. So it's really about creating a community where we can have a lot of fun and there's going to be a lot of different experience that we can provide for everyone. And then finally, the beer gun, that was actually one that we thought was extremely funny to do because that
a sort of in collaboration when the DAA announced their drop air, we figured what would be a fun and interesting surprising item that we can drop to the holders of both the egg at the time and holding one of our banana blasters. So there's only 69 of them, so it's not a lot, but this is one of those free items we wanted to showcase. That's how
me drop free items to our holders. I just see a bazooka. It is. It is. So we have not yet. It is to come in the next update by next week we are going to aim for projectile system in there and it will be a bazooka. All right. We'll go to the floor.
I mean, are you currently playing as we're on this space? I was just having to look around. I got a question real quick. I know you said it's not like for that. Call it duty. It's just kind of more fun.
kind of goofy silly type of thing. So what other incentives are there? Are there any other incentives to play this game versus say, "Aport Knight," something like that other than, "Hey, you can use your NFT as your character," whatever. Any other draws for it, people?
I think it's mostly... I mean, everyone has their own favorite game and game experience. They want to enjoy it when they have a free time. I think some prefer to play Call of Duty over Fortnite and vice versa. We're not trying to compete with that. That is an unimaginable idea for what you're going up against.
Our plan is to do the same as many of these Web 3 games are trying is how do you get more traction and more engagement from Web 2 communities into Web 3 through gaming and I think gaming is a two-part thing where crypto consists out of a very strong community of
members that are always supportive to each other that are looking for innovation and adoption and trying to grow together as sort of the early starters in that. And then when you look at gaming, that has such an equal combination of a strong community where people are trying to connect with like like minded people and trying to have either
It's a little bit of shit talking because they're having fun. And that's what we wanted to connect together. So when we look at games like Fortnite and Call of Duty, they're great on the map. I play Call of Duty all the time. I play Fortnite in the past. But if I have to choose, I'll play Call of Duty over Fortnite.
We're not trying to bring that. We're trying to bring hyper social casual gaming for communities that exist already. Where do you take them? You take them inside of a game and we have fun together. So it's not really a choice of what more can we offer. It's more of a choice of how can we create a good solid bond with our community and how
fun together. I would love to see in the future near future a LAN party where we all come together, we put those computers out there, we sit there and we're gonna have a blast just gaming all night. Oh yeah, I like the good old days, LAN parties, man, that would be awesome. And I love how you said it's
So in that case, like if a project, NFT projects wants to join the game, how do they go about doing that?
How do they sign up? How do they get their community involved or get their NFT added to the game? Yeah, so right now we are and we've always been from the very beginning very open to reach out and connect with different
communities. Some reach out to us, some of us reach out to them because we see they have really cool 3D characters and we want to involve them into the game as well. For us it's more about how do we get more and more communities involved not so much for the growth of the game but also in order to provide more utility
for the existing projects that are out there. I think as of now, there's not really any game out there that kind of opens itself up for all these different avatars at the rate that we're doing it and at the speed that we're doing it. Because we believe that if we can do it at a fast pace, we can unbord all these communities in there, we can kind of showcase all together how
how all different projects can work together. So if someone has a project where there's a 3D model or no 3D model, we're also open to kind of helping that situation and they can always reach out to the Digital Royale Twitter, just shoot at the end, kind of go into our community discord. We're always there, Nick and I are both there.
to also answer questions or tickets. If you have a cool project you want to bring it to life, how will you bring it to life? That's exactly what you did for us. Our RPSP didn't have a 3D version, the artist that created it at a MAP, only created them in 2D.
just gave you guys the the assets and then you came up with this amazing 3d rendering so cool. Yes, I love it. I think I have a hard time imagining things, you know, or picturing things and I was like, "Man, I don't know how this is going to look but it looks great." I like it a lot. A little bit of a worry too.
And also when it's a meant everything that you said Kevin and Drew that you both positive about you know the support that exists between Web3 communities and then the desire to foster that through this game. I absolutely love it. And then I just quickly want to comment as well circling back to my
question from earlier about the various guns available in the game. You know, I was going to ask you if non-violence was sort of important to you when creating this game and I'm pleased to learn that it was sounds like, you know, you really are aiming to create a fun, safe, life-hearted environment for people from all these different web
communities to come together, and also there are brand safety reasons for not wanting to make the game super violent, provided that you work with a ton of Web2 and Web3 partners. So I think that's probably a smart business move and makes a lot of sense. I have sort of a fun question. Which PFP community is most competitive?
That is a good one. I wouldn't know if I can say that on community level right now. We're doing a cool tournament now, though, which involves a lot of different communities. Very excited that Nidimals is a very active community.
the DAA, the trash pandas. I think it's really on a player level where we see that some are very active and they come in every day to have a battle and looking to have a battle with someone. We're now trying to organize a bit more on a scale where we can get people
to compete against each other, which is always fun, which community is better than the other, but in a fun way, not in a violent competitive way. I don't think there's one community that's more active than the other. I think it's more individual players that are more active than the other.
There's also a lot of community holders, luckily, that say, you know what, I hold it, DA8, but I also want to play with my brave character. And that's what we like. There's not stick to this one community kind of thing. It's more of, I have a bunch of characters, and I want to play with all of them, have fun with them.
Oh yeah, I'm glad that you mentioned that because yeah, we've got people here who are members of various communities So it's cool that you can swap out your avatar and sort of you know play for different teams like changing your penny and gym class or something I really like that. So is there like a learning curve to wielding
the in-game guns or is this like a really easy game for anyone to play like for someone like me who is not a gamer but who's really deeply fascinated by this game one because of you know the community component which you know we're all big fans of here we are the that community team after all and all
also, I mean the game has our PFP and it's so I really want to play but I'm like so not a gamer. Should I be intimidated? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no#
you go play against each other, you'll soon figure out how everything works. There's nothing more than running, jumping, crouching. By next week there might be a little add on to that, but it's very simple. We kept it simple because we're also, of course, going into mobile bit and we're
We're also trying to unboard everyone into the game, not just really, really gamers. Everyone should have fun with this. And so you can start at any moment. I would ask for a quick, Jenny. Guillermo, you think Jenny could be better as well.
Or anyone can be better and better and worse. I think you're gonna get fresh next time I say you, mate. I'm warmed up now. It's hard to get bed ordered. Rather than trying to squash each other, we should all be on the same team, guys.
Come on. No, no, just free smells like fear. Smells like fear to me. Speaking of that, I think I saw that you there's what two modes of play like a team play and then just a free for all royale type.
mode is that the only thing so far right now? Yeah, we started out with those two modes, but I can guarantee that in the next period there will be this year there will be new game modes that are being introduced. The teams are they made by the
characters or is it just kind of a random, like, put different teams, people on different teams? You can actually decide that yourself. So if you set up a team battle, you can create your own team so you can switch sides and you can set that up yourself. As we've done this time also with our tournament, we had
The nidables come on, for example, and they will battle someone else and they could decide on which side they want it to be. So in this case, you and friends or against other communities can just switch to a side, pick that team and then get started. I have to do some battles in there. I'm down. Look, this thing.
So one real quick I wanted to remind everybody that Guillermo did some awesome artwork for a Po app that we give for these Twitter attending these Twitter spaces, which you can claim in our Discord server, which is discord.giz/baprigade. I forgot to mention that earlier.
I think I already thought I love it. I love it. You switched up the design today. It's a new, new improved and refreshed design. I love it. I didn't, I didn't submit that one yet, but I'm using General as the template image. So forever, up one forward, I'll be seeing the General.
as a placeholder for the logos of the guests we're having. I like you, General Bell, we'll be in our hearts forever. And maybe I spoke too soon so I didn't see the one you submitted for today but either way there's a pro-app for today so go get it.
And me? Is there going to be a battle royale mode?
Yes, there might be. I don't want to give away too much, but we are looking into the different gameplays. We get a lot of requests, so there's a lot of people that say, "Hey, can we do a Counter Strike kind of feature where you kind of plant the bomb? Can we
We do a capture of flag, the battle royale. Battle royale is a lot of work. Okay, how about a bat bat? I think we could definitely, I think it
For now, we are working on so many different parts of what the game is going to be that there's going to be a period where suddenly all these things are going to be released and I think a lot of people are going to be surprised about the gameplay that has added the amount of different game modes, the different opportunities to
to play with characters, to do some things with characters. I don't want to say too much about it because it's been so much work so far. But I can guarantee the new battery-house system is something that we're definitely looking at. But it requires us to open up the map and open up the
And we've already released two teasers about this where one part of the map is a winter mode. One of the other part is a sort of a magic forest kind of part of the the island. Once we do the battery out, it means we open up to everything because you need enough space for a lot of people to come in.
and have that sort of circle closing in. So at that moment when everything is opened up, that's also when new game modes will be introduced. I love that. I've only ever played Mario in my life. Mario Kart racing.
I would always love how you know, you play the same game like it was like you're racing right you're racing against like either one of the person like eight other people, but in a different setting each time. So I love that you guys are like going to have different. I'm as glorious in the winter mode in addition to like the island mode you already have that's really cool.
Yeah, I think it's important for especially the gameplay experience. You don't want to do the same island over and over and over. You want to kind of roam around, explore and with the collectible system that's going to be in place. There's going to be a lot more exploring and collecting.
as well. So it doesn't necessarily mean people have to come in and just shoot around all the time. You can also just go and explore and collect some items and then kind of leave it at that. That's the experience we want to create. On that note, how do you actually win a game?
So right now in the rumble is based on how many the end of the sort of the kill score and in the team battle is it's the collective team score of having enough kills. So that is right now the
the game mode has both are. If we do something like Capture the Flag, of course, it's going to be about Capturing the Flag as many times as possible. Oh my god, I would play the heck out of that if you if you made a capture the flag like game within DJ
general. Oh my gosh, I would be all over that. Guys, fun facts, not that anybody cares or asked, but in my life growing up when I used to go to day camp, I was like a captain of the flag. When I was obsessed, I was obsessed.
game ever. Oh, I can't wait till we play that with Ginny. This is gonna be great. And as we're talking along the lines of the bat bat, if we can't do a bat, maybe we can do a bat boomerang or something like that.
I'm just gonna be happy when you can do Milliettax because I'm very much running up the person. I hate seeing them kind of guy. Yeah, hear that. Wait a second. What was this about the Bat Boomerang? So just some different bat weapons we can give the game.
For sure there's always we were always looking at ways how we can make the game more fun and if that includes partnerships where these kind of things are in
We're always looking for ways that we can make that more fun for all the community members. So that is definitely a possibility. The Mally attack actually is in there already. If you run up to someone close and you press V, it will hit someone.
I haven't had been having much luck with it.
Do you take input for direction for the game by the various communities that participate? Oh yeah, that was the very... So the game has only been out for three months. That's what was our starting point. We released a video where we showed a degenerate ape community battle image
on the island and they got such a good response that that kind of led into what we started to build and because of that the we always figured we need to get it out there as soon as possible not keep it into ourselves for the longest time because you can build something for 12 months and then people will still have an opinion about what they would like
to see. And for us it was better to just get it out there and everyone starts to play and as we gather the feedback it becomes better and better over time. The very first one we released just had a banana gun and it just shot bullets and you could run around. There was no crouching, there was no, the island was still more simple, there were no huts.
And then at some point we started adding more features to it. And by next week, for example, there's going to be an even bigger update where we're adding a lot more to the gameplay as well. So we always open up to feedback. And that's why we invite people to come into our discord, share your thoughts, give your suggestions, and see how we can improve the game together.
Awesome. So greatly you take community back and I ship and iterate. I think it's a mantra and it's the embrace here I breathe as well. Even if it's great forward simple iterate on it as time goes on better than to like you said. Sorry Kevin could you mute yourself when you're not talking because otherwise it crackles everyone please.
Oh, me or Ken? Oh, there we go. Oh, good. That better? Okay, cool. Yeah, no, totally, totally I can get with the idea of shipping and then iterating later. That's how you got to go. And also it
You know, opens up the floor for better feedback, you know, when something is simple and bare bones, then people can sort of like project their desires onto it and then you can take that feedback and implement it. How do you will? So I love it. Not to put you on the spot, Kevin, but do you have any personal
favorite 3D PFP renderings, you know, either existing ones or maybe any projects that you would love to see as a 3D rendering in the game? Ooh, that is a very good question.
Yeah, to be honest, I think the one that I really enjoyed at some point because I just thought the characters were super cute was nidables because they had such a fun character. So I definitely love to see that one in there. I always have my roots also still back in the DAA because it was just
the fun and starting point that we had and we made the Apes talk and dance and the whole community jumped on it so that was really cool. I love to see these kind of projects like having the brave the back character in there because that shows like it doesn't
necessarily have to be a PFP project. It can be also a project that launched an NFT into a PFP, but it came from different routes and that is now created into an avatar and people can play with that. I think that just shows how creative we can be all together, if we just all work together.
and get to that point. If there's any project that I likely see still in there, I don't know. I think we're open to any project that kind of wants to see how we can explore a partnership together. So other than that, no strong opinion to be honest.
No, those were some good kicks though. And you see guys, we've said a great example for other web 2 to web 3 crossover projects. It should be proud of us. Awesome. Do you have Pudgy penguins in there? I know Drew was a diehard fan.
Not yet, not yet. That is one we do not have. We haven't spoken to them actually. So if anyone has an intro or if they happen to be listening, yeah, absolutely. Let's get them in there.
Yeah, I'll see what I could do. Yeah.
Go ahead, Jenny. Oh, no. I feel like I've been asking question after question. I'm going to hang back and let you guys chime in.
- That or a gear? You guys got any? - I got a quick question. How good is the bazooka gonna be? But when I'm shooting, you think you're gonna be. - Yeah, to be very honest, I think that's gonna be a fun trial and error experience there because it's gonna be a good time.
projectile system, it's going to be a bazooka, so it's going to be long range to also shoot that. Yeah, to be honest, we've done some tests already and we've seen some examples. It's more about tweaking. So I guess that's also going to be based on how you experience that and where your feedback is going to be. >> All right, it's really underpiling.
I don't have much of a question, but more of the suggestion. Can we get like a podium at the end, like where we can, because currently we can see the scoreboard at the end, but can we get like the person with the PFP, just so bad and can see me there every time in place against me?
Do you mean like how counter strike and then call of duty show your character after the match and in 3d standing there? No, no just for the winners. I don't want better and see myself there. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I think
I think UI wise there will be slowly new changes coming in. We've done it in such a speed that we figured that the gameplay was the most important aspect to think about first. Get that right and let people have fun and then it becomes about tweaking. How can we present this in a more fun way?
One thing I enjoy, for example, when I play Counter Strike is at the end you can see these titles, the characters where it says best marksman or most Hatch odds and these kind of things. I think that is also fun to give those titles to people that actually achieved something in the gameplay.
Just one more. This is more in game question. I discovered some very good camping spots. Some seem very intentional. But you know, what are the best camping spots that you would say? I found like
the top of a HUD that's like on the beach area and there's also a tree that's like in the center of the map that you can get up there where like the ear top ones.
There is a way to get onto the volcano a bit which is a pretty interesting one. And the funny thing is that we try to kind of limit that every time but every time someone finds a way to get back on that volcano which is actually hilarious because
Because we don't want to limit that. We kind of look for that creativity in the game as well. I think on top of the volcano is definitely one. You can on some of the trees, you can stand and you can crouch, which is a, which is a good one.
And I think anything that is, especially on the right side of the island, there's a little hut at top. I think if you sit there and you aim enough at the beach, as people look for more open spaces to run around and look for people, that might be a good one as well.
Thank you, that's very valuable.
Kevin, I feel like I'm honestly going to lose my team to your game.
each other beer and candy and bananas. It's called team building. Is there a difference between the fire gun and the ice gun in game?
Not in the gameplay just yet. However, we're opening up the winter environment as well and there will be different features to this.
Do the players have like, I don't know, maybe that's what better was asking, but like, do the players have like different reactions when they're hit by the different guns? Like, if you get hit by the banana gun, like, you slip and fall and like, act a fool, and if you're like, hit by the beer gun, like, you look soaked, like, what happens there?
I love those suggestions though. That is pretty fun. Right now, no, they're all standardized, but that's also because of the speed we have to go. The one thing that makes this so challenging and what makes us so different from all the other projects is you see very often, there are humanoid characters, which means they're all basically
a man or a woman character and they place that face on top of that which makes it super easy because then you just load different faces on top of a body. Sandbox does the same for example, awesome game, awesome way they have architecture that but they have characters that are just voxel characters and the head turns into the NFT character. That makes
it easy because everything is rigged and animated to the same animation and the same character. In our case, we're importing by now like 40 different shapes of characters and there's tiny little SMB characters. There's giant DAs running around. There's a gorilla out, but there's also a Godzilla and then there's also a dog.
And because of that, the animations make it very challenging to also make sure that everything runs smoothly and things don't go through bodies. And so there's a lot of thinking that comes with that. And we suggested that to move fast and to make sure that we give everyone a fun experience, that focus on that as a secondary part that we have as a second track that runs.
But it's these kind of ideas that you just gave that we get from our community where we go like hey that is actually pretty fun. We should think about how to do that. So thank you. Oh absolutely. I mean you guys are still early on in development. So there's so much more to come up like I'm a man like you know maybe incorporate Alexi Kevin
you're like, thanks so much. Yeah, I'm imagining incorporating maybe tokenized mocap into the game where you can have characters can have specific moves that are NFTs that they can purchase. And so, yeah, if a character gets shot with a specific
Gun say like the beer gun like they could own the move that like you know every time they get shot with the beer gun They like open their mouth to drink the beer or something like I don't know. It's just crazy ideas, but um and like obviously You know these are just like yeah just brainstorm but um, but yeah I feel like there's so much you can do because the game is
so new and you guys are constantly sourcing community food back and I'm sure you'll come up with even cooler and better ideas from people who are deeply engaged with the game and playing it frequently. I'm excited for everything to come. So what's the smallest one that you can play as? Because I use to play as odd job on the N64 and Goldberg.
I think the smallest one right now is either a niddle or it's an SMB. Those are the smaller ones. One of the things we get a lot of feedback on and we'll definitely incorporate and we'll change in the very near future is everyone always mentions hitboxes which is again one of the elements you have to deal with when
US different character sizes. An SMB is harder than a DAA which is a giant gorilla. Because of that you have to find creative ways how to deal with that. And changing the hitbox is a bit challenging because you can't put 5 centimeters of a hitbox above a SMB character because that's not realistic in terms of hitting someone
So we came up with some ways where we're going to implement a way to get around that where the competitive advantage is a little bit across both. So if you're small, you have an advantage, but if you're big, there's also going to be an advantage to the game plan. You could probably make the big ones a little bit tankier.
Yeah, exactly. There's speed, there's health, there's impact, there is agility, there is ways that we can add movement types to bigger characters that the smaller ones don't have.
It needs to become a combination of all of these, but at the same time we're building that in a way in the back end that's going to be dynamic. So if we want to change that over time, it's very easy to do basic feedback from the community.
I'm actually really glad that you addressed character sizes because when I was looking at the various PFPs, PFP avatars in the game earlier, I noticed that like yes, some were really small and some were really big and because this is a shooter game, I was like oh, like
the bigger ones seem to have more target area. They're less advantageous to play with because they're a bigger target. Essentially, the smaller ones are more nimble and can dodgeable. I'm glad that you've taken that into consideration.
consideration. Yeah, absolutely. And we also today, one of the, we also incorporated, uh, bully crews, uh, these tiny little pirates which, which fit the scene so well for the game. Um, and then also they said, Hey, can you make us super tiny? That makes us a bit
more advantage. It's like, yeah, that's not how we do this. They have to be based on what the character actually is. So we try not to get into a competitive advantage kind of mode, but we also know we need to solve that at some point to make sure that doesn't happen too much.
Just a quick thing. Does anyone have a time limit on this because otherwise you've got a little bit of time for questions from the audience? Yeah, go. We're not. We're not. About you. Go ahead. Go ahead. If you have any questions.
Yeah, if anybody has questions, requests, and we'll have you come up. In the meantime, I do have a question myself. So right now, you get the game on steam.
download it there, free to play, but then the different guns are NFTs you can go and buy. And that's all on Ethereum. Is that right?
So the guns itself are in Solana and Ethereum. Candygun, Banana Blaster, and the Buzuka are on Solana, and then the cash gun is on Ethereum on OpenC. Okay.
was minted recently, right? I think we've got it on that. And so I guess when you have new guns come out, then you'll have another mid for those each gun that comes out. Is that how that works? Yeah, yeah, absolutely. We might do the bit different than
through in-game cells, we might do it through platforms again. We have to see what the best approach will be there, but initially what our goal is we have 10,000 different guns and there's only going to be 10,000 guns and they're going to have different variations. So there's going to be a lot
a lot of variations in guns and a lot of different fun looking ones and a lot of different kind of firing power that they're going to have in animations. But we keep it limited to 10,000. So by now we've done already three or four guns and there's more to come.
Awesome. Yeah, I like that aspect of it that you can go and get the different guns and on different platforms and stuff. That's pretty cool.
Yeah, everybody else got any questions? Feel free to come ask your questions.
Yeah, anyone in the audience played you, General Royale. Maybe have an experience they want to share, have any questions or maybe ideas, you know, development ideas for Kevin while you have him on the mic. Feel free to request the mic and come up to the stage. But in the meantime, I mean,
Kevin, is there anything that we missed, anything that we didn't cover that you'd like to either tease today or something that we didn't ask about, a blind spot that you think we should definitely address here for the listeners? No, I think we cover quite a bit. For us, it's always, you know, join our
community going to our discord. Absolutely download the game because we want to get as many people to join our community as well whether you're from Ethereum or Selona or with EverChain you're on. We're all about having fun and other than that, not a lot to have to be honest.
Awesome. Yeah, definitely hop into the DGN Royale Discord everybody if you want to keep up. Definitely our our community will be playing the game, especially now that our bat X Adam Abe, PFPs have a 3D avatar within the game.
So freaking exciting. I can't wait. I have to get set up and join the game later this afternoon, but I'm still trying to figure out what gun I'm gonna purchase. I'm leaning toward the candy gun, I think, for now. Although I don't know. I don't know. I have to go take a look on
and secondary and see what's available. But I'm super pumped and definitely will be organizing some community gameplay for the back community. I know Battern did yesterday. So we have any upcoming plans Battern to hop in. Yeah, the plan is we're going to find
There's a tournament going on at the moment and they're already in round two, but if anyone wants to be on the back community team, I think the way we're going to have to do it is because it's over the weekend, we'll have like a roster and whoever's available at the time will join the game and fight for our honour.
Thank you. How many protein? I think it's 4.13. This is like the first one as well for the london steak.
Oh nice, yeah. But it's too late to join this current tournament, right? No, no, no. We like someone dropped out of round, someone dropped out, so we've got to laugh. We're in. Oh nice. Well, good luck. Sorry if this was addressed earlier and I missed it, but is there like a problem?
But there's definitely a price. Yeah, for sure. Writing begins now. All right. Okay, everybody, we need to get our team together or teams plural. Wait, so does that mean we can only play with max four players or can we like bring in numerous teams?
It's only four players now, so we do one team of four players for each community.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, and like I guess Adam was suggesting that we will rotate players depending on who's available. Okay, that makes sense. Just trying to get my juxtaposed role here because I'm feeling competitive.
yes surely surely we can get four players better than batter and two other than how often we are what is this rip on better now or do you
Now listen here boy. Hey if it weren't for Battern we wouldn't have our avatar in the game. So I think everybody should throw down an emoji react show some love for Battern. Battern is the reason that we are in this game right now.
- That's a bad turn. - Thank you, Battern. And thank you, Kevin, for making such a great, for having your team make such a great 3D render of our BATX Adamate PFP. I don't even think the artist Adamate has seen it yet, so I can't wait to show it to him today and show it to his community. I hope he'll be happy with it, but I'm sure he will be#
It's always a little scary. When Badrana approached me and was like, "Hey, we want to get our PFP turned into a 3D avatar for this game." I was like, "Oh, I don't know if Adam Ape has time to help with the 3D rendering. I don't want to compromise his artistic integrity. I'm a little nervous about it."
And he was like, no, no, no, no, trust me. Like de-generally, like there are a bunch of pros that are going to do a great job. And I was like, okay, like a little apprehensive, but you know, said it earlier in the spaces, but really pleased with how it turned out, like really impressed. I think Adam Eath is going to love it. And we certainly love it. So yeah, thanks#
super informative super chill laid back and I mean I feel like that's just the spirit of the game in general chill laid back fun it's all about you know hanging out with other communities you know like-minded people in you know the web to the web three space all coming together hanging out and having a good time so love
it we're definitely going to be encouraging our community to play the game frequently, especially now that we're in there. And yeah, feel free to come back on Back Community Space's anytime, anytime you have something new to tease or I don't know, maybe we can like work out some fun tournament where there's like a bat prize pool or something, we'll have to
to figure something like that out, but if you're open to it, we should definitely talk about it. - Well, Jenny, well, I've got your attention. Yeah, I'm feeling really sick. I don't think there's gonna be many meetings I'll be attended next week. (laughing) - Oh, really?
This is just your excuse of the week, battered. Last week it was the juice clan. Next week it's the game.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. Well, this is a really fun one. Thank you everybody for being here as always. We really appreciate you hanging out with us. Kevin, thank you so much for being here. You have great energy. We're excited to now be a part of this game and a part of this community. And yeah, we, you know, catch us in the DGN Royale.
island running around and shooting people with bananas and beer and dollar bills. Thank you so much for having me. Really appreciate it. Super excited that you guys are in our ecosystem as well. And if there's anything we can do in the near future more together than we're always open to it. Thank you so
much. Absolutely, absolutely. Everybody, please give it up for our our our our guest in by showering him with emoji reacts. Same for our community team panel. I wish you all a wonderful weekend and remember everybody. It's all gravy baby.
All right, everyone. Critical Hays. Good weekend. Ciao, ciao. Bye now. See you, friends.
