down last week so you could take the day all right well let's kick off then
hey everybody welcome back to another back community Twitter spaces today we
are in the Batcave with Anana or Anna for listeners Paula and I had the
pleasure of meeting Anna at Jalisco talent land in Guadalajara a couple weeks ago
she's very exciting so how are you doing today Anna it's good to speak to you
again yes I know it was so nice to meet you and real life now I am doing super
thank you for asking how are you so good so good I feel rested today I feel good
yeah I'm glad to hear you're doing well too so we actually met at the brave
booth and both so brave had a booth at talent land for those who may not know
we we talked to the conference attendees about baton brave and Carlos from our
team gave a presentation about baton brave in Spanish which is really
wonderful but yeah so we met Anna at the brave booth and both Paula and I were
really inspired by your art and your story and we actually took a photo
together as well which I need to dig up and post I just took so many pictures
at that event that I haven't really had a chance to go through them all yet
but I remember that we took some pictures I got to dig them up on my
phone and I'm really glad that we could organize this space because it seems
like you've had a really fascinating journey into web 3 and that you have a
wealth of knowledge to share so really looking forward to it and let's move
quickly through the interest today so we can dive right into the conversation so
I see that there's a lot of people visiting from outside our community today
so I want to say welcome to you all I'm seeing a lot of new faces in the
audience and I love it hang on I'm gonna throw down a sound effect
hard eyes okay anyway we are the bat community bat for bat is short for basic
attention token and that is an ethereum-based rewards token that is used
in grave a fast and private web browser that blocks YouTube ads and other
invasive third-party ads and trackers by default right out of the box that works
within brave by fairly pricing user attention and rewarding users for bat
for choosing to see ads that are privacy respecting it also empowers users
to pay it forward by supporting their favorite content creators or causes with
bat tips or easily programmed bat donations brave has a user first
philosophy so its private ads and bat reward system is totally often for users
you don't have to use it if you don't want to additionally the browser
eliminates the need for extensions by shipping with various privacy features
and tools so for example it comes with a shield that keeps you and your data
safe from third-party ads and trackers like I mentioned we've got a
private search and AI summarizer got private video conferencing we've got a
VPN a native multi-chain wallet and so much more to learn about Braves full
list of features and tools you can visit brave.com slash features brave.com
slash download if you just want to dive in and download the browser and if you
want to learn more about basic attention token or bat go to basic
attention token dot org but please do so after the spaces because we have a
great conversation coming up today and I want everybody to be paying attention
alright okay and so let's quickly go around the room and do intros for the
panel so since I have the mic already I'll just kick off my name is Jenny I'm
speaking from the bat community account today and I'll be your host along with
my amazing team who will meet in just a moment I am based in Montreal Canada
and I've been working for brave since late 2017 late 2017 sorry right before the
bat token launch very exciting I transitioned to a more full-time facing
role in 2018 and now I'm director of community and partnerships here at bat
and brave and my work focuses on expanding partnerships driving the growth
adoption and integration of the basic attention token so you can feel free to
reach out to me on this account or my personal account bat underscore Jenny J
and IE after the spaces love connecting with others who are passionate about
creating a better more private more open web and also during the space if you
have questions don't hesitate to request the mic or you can type your questions
into the thread beneath the Twitter faces link and we will be keeping our
eyes open for questions that come in through there and we can ask them for
you if you don't want to get on the mic all right now let's introduce our
speakers okay let's kick off with let's start here we have a bunch of people on
the panel today but let's start here yeah I think this is the first time
this was starting no worries hello everyone my name is gear and I am an
artist slash illustrator and designer for basic attention token and brave and
basically what I do is create engaging pieces like co-ops NFTs and other things
to engage with the community and more recently some posters and t-shirts and
things that we'll likely see on the on the spec so on to you better hello I'm
baton I make memes head the ambassador program and do concise introductions
incision legend I love that hey everyone first of all I'm so sorry about my boys
I'm a little bit sick but I'm very very excited for this one I think Anna nice
our first Latina guest in the spaces so that's very very cool but well I'm
Paula I'm based in Costa Rica I managed the bat Costa Rica account here on
Twitter where I also do weekly Twitter spaces with some Hispanic ambassadors if
you're interested and want to join us I also do some partnerships with the team
and Jenny and that's with Spanish speaking clients and anything Spanish or
latin related so please feel free to reach out thank you so much I'm very excited
yay thank you Paula I'm sorry you're sick you do sound great though and
you're totally right and Anna is our first Latin American or our Spanish
speaking Latina guest on the show we're super excited to have them got to throw
down the applause I'm still getting the hang of these sound effects sorry if
that was a little weird but yes welcome so Anna should we call you Anna
or Anna now which we call you today on the spaces well Oh Peter call me Anna
so if you want to so welcome of course why don't you start by you know telling
us a little bit about yourself your background and what you do in the world
of web 3 yes okay so I my background is that I studied graphic design and
advertisement in Buenos Aires in Argentina a long time ago and then all
my life I've been like working with social media creating content and I knew
like I was I had like an artistic something inside of me but I never pursue
it and then when the web 3 came into my life I just discovered this new space
where where any person that comes and is brave enough to make a personal brand
like it can be really something so my my come I get into a graph 3 with these
amazing opportunities as an artist and I've been here since 2021 a I started
doing a collection of 10 10,000 NFTs and it didn't work I make a fine art of
a lot of a very popular collections and I've been like trying around all the
way but it was not until I really connected with my personal brand and
with my goals that it all started to work out so like that's maybe a little
summary about of what happened awesome no that's a great background in great
context I think Adam may have a question for you now yeah how do you first
stumble across NFTs like where was the first time you saw them okay so I was I
am working in a digital agency of marketing and my boss she's into crypto
scenes 2017 so she's OG and she was the one that took me to web 3 she was like
she meet that board days and wall of woman so she was right there in the in
the right time at the right place so she was the one that told me like maybe
you can do NFTs and you have to open your wallet and everything was like super
super crazy but because it was 2021 everything that we did at that time went
very well and then you know everything collapsed and then we are here today
but it's like really amazing for me to see the transformation and the evolution
of the ecosystem and to be part of it and of course like being a woman here in
web 3 and in Latin America is really making like something in in our history
when you first discovered NFTs were you intimidated at all by the you know the
idea of like setting up a soft custody wallet and like you know going through
that process of actually like you know purchasing minting attaining the NFTs
like was that confusing or was you know the the person who introduced you helpful
and you know guided you through that process how did that all work and no it
was all by myself and yes it was scary I think it still is scary sometimes but
if I learn something today is do not click on that link so I'm never gonna
click on oh my gosh I'm so sorry I will did not realize that the soundboard
cuts off the speaker I'm sorry about that but yes agreed don't click the link
people sorry about that yeah it's allowed to okay I'll be more careful with those
sounds gosh don't give Jenny a new toys I was gonna say it's like it's like the
art everyone all over again yes I was wondering since you have a background and
honor in graphic design and business image I was wondering how did that
facilitate or having those tools how much did have help into going to
blockchain web tree yeah well all of I think that all of my life just prefer
me for web 3 because having all of these tools has really like is the thing that
is a like different I how do you say this in Paula may Paula can you help me
yes I didn't see a difference yeah like all these tools difference me I think so
from a lot of people so it's really what's happened happening to help me to
grow so all of these tools of advertisement marketing is social media
like knowing also graphic design so I can make I made my own own brand own my
own logo my own like you know my English is so bad I used to have a
boyfriend from the United States and that was really helpful because I can't
practice my you know what your your English is fantastic please don't be
self-conscious about it it's fantastic and it's definitely better than my
Spanish that's for sure and that's why we're all here to help each other and
to practice and and probably can translate if you need to translate any
words but that was a great translation and I understand what you mean about how
those skills help distinguish you in this base or you know help you stand out
makes a ton of sense G did you have a follow-up question yes and your your
angles perfect thank you could understand everything don't worry about
sometimes I have the same issues and you know it's what happens when I speak
to languages confusing mixing between the two the following question is I'm happy
that you had a good like follow-up to web tree especially since you have the
good tools that were just very appropriate for it but did you face any
challenges when entering the world of factory well yes at first I didn't have
Twitter so I haven't connected with a community so I was by myself and I
thought I was crazy until I opened my Twitter account and then I started to
follow you know one person that was three and then one leads to another one
and then you create this community that helps you to understand so yes at first it
was not knowing about the community was like they I thought I was alone and then
like once you're in the community everything is easier right like you have
someone that you can trust and that maybe like they can call you and teach
you how to do things or they can like say don't go to this project or maybe I
don't know give you a advice about people know how who is to work to work
with or who don't work with so yes I think they this reach of learning is
the thing that I was like scary the most but the community is what makes
everything easier yeah it makes perfect thanks sense do you have any like story
that you can share with us like I know that you have been in web tree for
ages like mentioned was friends 2021 but you have any stories since then like
funny stories that you want to share well yes I have a couple a back in 2022 I
went to NFT NYC like without a Twitter without knowing who was I like I didn't
have my personal brand and I just get got into a what's up group of Latin people
and they were all over the place they have more days so we can go into the a
fest but they were also into NFT NYC like the convention but I didn't have
the the bus and it was I don't know like $600 I think so they were like no you
have to be confident about yourself and you just come inside the building and go
through this there's all the hotel right so I go I get into NFT NYC last year
using the stairs just being confident about myself and I just grabbed something
of the neck you know that it's brand it and I just covered with my iPad and I
went through all NFT NYC last year by just using the stairs okay that's a
really good story thank you yes that's a learning about we're free you just
have to be confident and do it hey that's a great advice it's like a little
bit of fake it till you make it you know just you have to assume an air of
confidence and then eventually you'll actually know what you're doing and
talking about I like that Adam did you have another one yeah can you tell us a
bit about social snack and you'll describe your current role as a web free
strategist yes I I got into this agency as a community manager like five years
ago and since then I've been like talking courses and learning stuff and my
position has been changing through the years and now with web 3 like I've been
posting about it in LinkedIn and talking about it and of course like the
projects that I have right now like they're super big and that really like
changed my life because they turn into web 3 strategies and they double my
salary because of having the knowledge of web 3 so it's been super like helpful
for me that social snack has been like with me in this in this journey and
supporting me and like giving me space to grow so yes social snack is from
Argentina is this a marketing digital agency and they are partners of
snapchat Facebook tick-tock and we do our mental reality experiences and like
advertisement and ads but yes I was also into snapchat I do a creative ideas for
the organic lenses for Mexico the filters so I was also already a I already knew
how a mental reality works so I think that also makes me like a click with
wet three and where it's gonna be the metaverse well that's crazy that's a
super cool role so you helped work on organic lenses you said like AR filters
for snapchat through social snack is that right yeah I have to identify trends
and hypes in Mexico culture and like global also so identify these trends and
make them like work and that people can get them so cool so how do you like how
do you go about identifying trends well I think all of my life I'm being super
creative and I think I have a like a junk soul so I'm always in the trend I
don't know how so I'm always like I have these feeling about when I see things I
know that it's what it's trained now so I just have a good feeling I think okay
so part of it is like a sense you just have a sense for it yeah yeah yeah I
think and also they work through space like looking around all of these new
things and like they everything everything that is new I just get you in
that trendy space hey that's awesome that's that's a powerful skill and can
you tell us a little bit about your role at bright moments I believe you're
the bright moments community manager at the sub Dow in Mexico City right yes it
was also like I know they yeah you know plan of the universe and when I came
back from NFT NYC and I lived all of these experiences with the communities of
the collections like I understand that that that have that have happened to
that have to happen in Mexico so I came back and I was like okay if this is
not happening I have to do it so I start doing a meeting so we have three
meetings and like my team and I we put our money and we put our time and
everything and then these say this project bright moments and I get to know
them and now I am hosting their meetups so like it's a dream come true like I
have every week a meetup and we can like intro those people to web 3 with
generative art and like it's a just a hub for web 3 to grow in Mexico City well
hang on a second so you kind of launched the bright moments arm in Mexico City
then no no like they came in and they connected with the community here in
Mexico so yeah the plan of this project is that they're gonna be in ten cities
they're right now they're in Tokyo and once they they're gone they they leave
us about so I'm the community man a year of this about and I have to like get
the community going yeah I did see that they're in Tokyo right now actually did
you know that the first bright moments gallery to ever open is located in
Venice Beach California I still live right around the corner yes meetups
weekly to really cool place for those who don't know though what is bright
moments yeah well bright moments is where the art is born and as you said
it all started in LA is focused it on a unique experiences meeting experiences so
to meet one piece of bright moments you have to be there in person or someone
that represents you so it's really changing the game of how does these
digital assets really have a connection in real life with people so they have a
10,000 NFT collection going on that is building and they also do the creation
of generative artists for art books so that it's all about empowering art
through the space amazing Adam just sent me a message on slack saying she sounds
so busy and I totally agree how do you find time in a day to do all of this
and I know this is amazing like you're in you're so deeply involved in so many
different areas of the web 3 space how do you manage it all I know I don't know
like I think the past two years like it didn't happen much so I was like kind of
like birth and then everything start to happen so now I can't stop it's just
like it happens like every day and every day like I get new opportunities and I
say yes to everything so I don't know it's just I'm just leaving that's that's
pretty amazing that's pretty incredible and I love the philosophy of saying yes to
everything I think that's a good one I think it's hard some people struggle
with that with that I certainly struggle with it I think I sometimes deprive
myself of opportunities because I am too afraid to take them but you're
inspiring me to be braver and bolder and go after more opportunities that come
my way I think it's just amazing all the things that you do and all that you
manage to balance really really remarkable and so of course beyond all of
this you yourself are an artist so tell us about your art and tell us the medium
you use like are you a you know illustrator like what tells the medium
and also how does your art communicate with and contribute to the web 3 space
okay that's a good one well as like as I say you I never like really get in touch
with my art so I was never I never felt like an artist until I got into web 3
and really until this year so it was really like taking it serious because it
was always like kind of a hobby or I didn't take it like seriously and it
was until now that I made my personal brand and that I knew like the
importance of the storytelling in all the things that I do so that it really
clicked and my art right now I think it's always transforming I think it's
never the same but I just sold out a very little collection of six pieces
that they were a unique and it's all about like personal stories so people are
really like clicking with it and like I don't know they they know about the
story so that's why they they buy it and right now I have this project that is
going to a moon and it's a collection of what well it's a collage of ice that then
is gonna be later on is gonna be a collection that is gonna pay for a
surgery of my mom Wow that is amazing I think the collection is called
Ohitos Lindos right that's this this is the one yeah at first it was a
collection but there I did a collage with a lot of ice so that piece is called
Ohitos Lindos and is the one that is going to the moon and it's gonna be an
on an auction so yes that's the one Ohitos Lindos that's amazing and I
think I saw on your I saw somewhere on your blog that Ohitos Lindos is a
project that is built in public so what does that mean and how does that how has
that transparency influenced the project's development and its social
reception yes like I've been when when I started Twitter I started tweeting about
everything in my life like everything that I've been doing people knows about
it so people know how this project is been changing like I've been taking
different decisions about it but I make them public so they know why it's been
transformed so I think that's also important because people understand like
what's the goal of the project why is it gonna work like that and it's all
about blockchain right like that's the goal of blockchain to be transparent and
public so I think like if you want to create a good project the community
must know like everything about it I think that makes a lot of sense and then
I think I also read on your blog that Ohitos Lindos somehow represents one of
the UN Sustainable Development Goals or the SDGs can you talk a little bit more
about that yes okay so first I I had this idea of this collection of eyes to
fund the surgery and I had this project right like it was it wasn't done but it
was there and then I've been going to in real life events and knowing a lot of
projects and communities and I got to know a bit Basel that is a crypto
artist community and they created this challenge that you have to to post
identity that had to be involved with the UN goals so one of the goals is
health and since I already had this project about a vision health I just
like linked it up and it won it was during Art Basel that is the week of
art in Miami so it won there and it was the pass for going to the moon Wow okay
that was really helpful context congratulations first of all on winning
that's amazing and I love I love that you that you tied in the theme of the
project to the SDGs and also you know tied it back to what what what you're
working toward with your mom which is you know hoping to fund or help pay for
her cataract surgery through the through the funds generated from this
collection I think that's a really beautiful and noble mission and in
addition to that this is also really exciting and you kind of touched on it
a little bit earlier but let's dive a little bit deeper into it you said
that Ojos Lindos will become I think part of the lunar prize which is the
first metaverse museum to exist on a nickel disc inside a SpaceX dalkan so
tell us about that and how does it feel to have your artwork engraved on a disc
that will potentially last a billion years in space that's huge I know
everything about this project is so cool and so beautiful so yes like you
actually if you have a microscope you can see the artwork like that is printed in
this nickel disc so it is a time capsule that is gonna be outside there in the
moon like for a billion years and yes so they so we in the in the earth we can
see all of that information in this first museum that is gonna be called the
Luna prize and so yes is the first a museum connected with a with the moon
everything is all crazy that is truly insane that's probably one of the coolest
things I've ever I'm really excited for you that's just phenomenal um let's see
what other questions do I have for you around that hang on I had a couple on
the tip of my tongue but this is also exciting that I'm losing my train of
thought I was gonna say a lot of projects won't go to the moon but your
battery is yeah totally you're actually going to the moon I know but I really I'm
like I don't feel that it's happening until it's there you know I need to know
that it's there but it will happen it will happen yeah and when is this when
is this launch occurring I am NOT sure if you mentioned it but yeah it's gonna
happen the 31 of June like almost there and I am gonna be there like in the NASA
for the launching and everything it's gonna be super oh my gosh okay so June
31st that's coming right up and where is the launch happening yeah it's in
Florida oh my gosh I'm writing this down it can anyone go I know I don't know I
have to ask but it can change because of the like the space like it already
changed of the one time it was gonna be on March and then it changed to June so
I'm just hoping this one is the good one well that is so very exciting and I
honestly hope that you have plans to line livestream or film or document that
experience because seriously that seems like a once-in-a-lifetime type of event
yes of course of course I am I am ready to do all that content and to bring all
you all of you with me as I can amazing and can you tell us a little bit
about the program oh he told what is it and how are you hoping it will help
activate and accelerate success success stories I'm sorry in Mexico and Latin
America okay yes well since I work in these individuals like as a creative
strategist I am all like all day long I am talking with friends that want to
coming to web 3 and they all ask about success cases successful cases you know
and like we can talk about some of successful cases but I want to have mine
so my NFT gets into it's called historical event so it doesn't have to
have a utility because its value is just for the history and what it
represents but like I want to give one like kind of utility so this program is
to help like only Latin community and projects that want to like maybe grow
or have these a case about how can we get give utility to all these projects
through our NFT so I don't know there's one guy that has a jewelry so we're
gonna do a collab where only the people that have a or he thought of the
collection they can purchase just one type of jewelry I don't know if I'm the
if I'm saying that it was right like we do yeah yeah yeah I know it makes a ton
of sense so you're gonna work with somebody who presumably is like a jeweler
or on some kind of jewelry business and through a collab with him if you are
an Ohitos holder you'll be able to only if you hold one of those NFTs will you
be able to purchase a certain you know piece of jewelry yeah right then there's
also one with the tequila so I might do a design of the label of the tequila
branded and just for the owners of the NFT so my NFT won't have utility by
itself but it's gonna be like the key for special products with all the
projects in Latin America I really love that I love the integration of you know
utility in the physical world with your NFTs I think that's also a great way to
get people outside of the web3 space interested is like showing them how
utility how NFTs could have utility like beyond just like the the digital the
online space think it usually gets people curious they're like oh there's like
real-world applications for this stuff you know it's not always obvious yes and
also like we like as an entrepreneurs we're like a small business so if we all
come together and like I can be like kind of a platform to make this happen and use
the like the communication and everything that is gonna be around this moon
project like I think I can help a lot yeah absolutely that's the only thing I
was gonna mention is like it's such a great way to support small businesses and
local entrepreneurs well you're really a powerhouse like seriously you're a girl
boss it's so amazing actually on that note I think Paula has some questions
about you know being a woman a woman a woman in web3 Paula let you take it
away with your questions yes so deep questions here
I'm sorry the web3 space is mostly dominated by man so as a woman how has
been your experience tell us a little bit about that piece well I think it's it's
been like a very beautiful journey I've always feel empowered by men like
they've been always very supportive but like I know that it's as I have this
opportunity it's also like my goal to have more women coming to the space so
of course like there's so much information and it's always this feeling of crypto
bro by so I know my goal is also to be is more empathetic way to people to
connect with me and getting to web3 from like another kind of woman by for
the web3 amazing I'm happy to see that you have been very very supported and how
are you using your platform to inspire more women to seek opportunities in web3
and reduce the gender gap in the digital future well I'm always working with
another platforms like metagals and metagals is a community of women here
in Mexico and they always searching for scholarships or work opportunities and
I am always like helping them out or is them sharing the news and I am also like
sharing my my story as it goes right like the other day I can't get into my
ledger because I forgot the password and it's something like it's like stupid but
I know a lot of people pass through these but they don't share it because
they feel ashamed so I'm like sharing everything like this happened to me it's
gonna happen to a lot of people but maybe if they see these kind of themes
there can be more relatable oh yeah and regarding my my past question well I'm
very happy for all the support and Anna Anna received with this pace from Latino
community on web3 last night before going to bed I was checking Twitter and
I was surprised to see all the comments and retweets regarding this space about
the best browser plus the influence of an Anna together so it makes me very happy
and proud to see the Latino community and that community together I needed to
add that yes no the community here in Mexico and Latin America is crazy like
we all know each other we have each other's back like once they know that
someone needs help they're gonna be there so yeah all of these people here
they are my friends yes that's amazing I'm so proud to be a Latina and last
question for me I think so can you share some advice for women who are interested
in entering the web3 space but may feel intimidated yes of course I think like my
favorite tip for life is to that your your biggest and your most important
project is yourself you know because I the past years I've been working for a
lot of projects and for a lot other things that it wasn't me and it was not
until I did my personal brand and that I connected with my true values and
what I wanted to do with life that everything opened up so you're your you
are your biggest project and the most important one and like connect with
yourself and like look for what are your goals and your dreams and then
everything is gonna like solve for itself absolutely agree thank you so much
for your answer I don't know if Jenny has another question or Guillermo or Adam
yeah I think everything that you just said is so wonderful about you know how
you are your biggest project and it's all about you know connecting with yourself
discovering what means the most to you what your values are it's like step
one before you can like go out and do anything and that like impacts the world
positively but I also love something that you said earlier about how you're
sharing your story as it unravels like you're you're very public with your web
3 journey and that's disarming and makes you approachable like not just to
women but for anyone in the space that is new and might be intimidated like
you're kind of breaking down barriers and just showing you know you know the
humanity of what happens and like you know the mishap with your ledger like
you know sharing how you overcome these obstacles and just that openness and
transparency is is very disarming and I think it just makes people want to like
to be it they just become invested in your journey but also you know gives
them confidence that they could you know forge a path in the web 3 world
themselves I hope that I hope that made sense I was kind of all over the place
but anyway on that on that kind of note what steps do you believe that the web
3 community should take to ensure that it's inclusive and welcoming to people of
all genders you know not just women but really everyone well I think that one
step that is very important that is happening right now is that there are
a lot of events that are going on in Mexico in Latin America and almost all
the speakers are men so I am always like the one who sends messages to a event and
say like I want to be there you know but if I don't do that they don't like
they don't really do the work of searching for woman speakers so I think
it's a both from us and the men to make it like conscious you know like okay
I'm gonna be a speaker but maybe we should be 50 50 50 of the speakers are
men and 50 are women so just to have that equality in voice and in what we have to
do and we have to talk about so yes I think we have to make it conscious is
that's the most important thing girl you are amazingly confident and brave can
you share any strategies or resources that you have found particularly helpful in
developing your personal leadership skills and confidence because I know
personally like being a woman in a male-dominated industry it took me a
long time to kind of like find my footing and my groove and to even feel
confident enough to speak on Twitter spaces this was not something that I
started doing until about a year ago but you know I've been in the space
since 2017 and found myself dealing with a lot of imposter syndrome and just
generally just generally feeling you know I don't know I I was intimidated I
don't know how else to put it but I just found it very very intimidating and I
held myself back a lot and I don't know I just I admire your approach to to
everything so much so yeah can you tell us about how you developed your
confidence and leadership abilities well yes I think like I love to talk about
it but because I wasn't the person that I am today like maybe three years ago I
think that also where three has these consciousness about that I don't know why
but everything everyone that is this in this space is always also a some kind
more aware or more conscious that I don't know what two people I don't want
to play like this but yes so it's more also like a personal journey you know I
love these books about like the power of now and new earth and it's all about
really we just have one life you know and you can really be the person you want
to be and you can really create the opportunities then you want to create you
just have to believe in yourself like but from their roots so my I think my tip
is that you have to read these books like the power of now because it really
makes you conscious of the power of making your opportunities at the moment
because I remember when I met you I was like hello I'm gonna send an NFT to the
moon if I don't do that like how are you gonna know about this and like you're not
gonna search everywhere what's gonna do every woman in the space so you have to
be out there reaching for yourself talking about you like sometimes if it
looks selfish but it's not you know who's watching anyways so yes I think
being present and being conscious of that you can create your reality in every
step that you do that is amazing you're my motivational speaker of the day this
is great but you're right I was actually thinking about that earlier I was like
she was so brave to approach us at the brave booth when you didn't really know
us there's a bunch of people standing around and you know it could be
intimidating and exactly you came up and you're like hi I'm sending my NFTs
to the moon and I was like what and you know it turned out to be to be
wonderful but but yeah sometimes breaking through those social barriers is
really difficult but it's it's truly inspiring to see your confidence and and
and I love that you know you're totally into personal development self-development
and you read books and I'm sure can consume other media that helps you grow
in that way and also you're part of so many different organizations and groups
and DOWs that you know are all very have very uplifting communities very
uplifting and supportive communities and and yeah that that certainly helps as
well as just like getting involved being a part of a community that will elevate
you just what we try to do here in the back community is elevate one another
but yeah that that certainly helps like you know knowing that you don't have to
do any of this all on your own you can become part of a community that will
support and elevate you to you know the level that you that you want to get to
so it's so so beautifully put you're so much more eloquent than me by the way
but yeah so so lovely so speaking of events and by the way I love how you get
in touch with with events and you're like hey we need to even out the speakers
at this event that's incredible seriously applause for that are you
speaking at any upcoming events yes no like since since I've been doing this
now they now they look for me you know and they call me so I'm gonna be this
the next weekend in Monterrey here in Mexico in NXT show and I am talking about
well everything that I am talking about right now is the moon the Ojito's Lindos
and the moon project and then I'm gonna be in Puebla in an innovation woman talk
and yes I'm in end of June in in the NASA those are my three events that are
in my agenda right now huge oh my god especially the last one if you can't
tell I am such a fan girl of Anana I love how you started out reaching out to
these events like cold emailing them and now they're calling you I love that
that's amazing that's amazing I think Adam might have had a question for you
so I'm gonna pause for a second and let him go ahead I thought I would get one
final question before we open up to the floor I was gonna say where do you see
the intersection of art blockchain and web free heading into the future like a
what what possibilities could these fingers all together hold I don't know if
I stop listen to you but I think I heard the the half of it basically it was like
the intersection of art blockchain and web free where do you think that's gonna
lead us okay so I think like right now how everything is working like people
know that it isn't original or that it comes from a good place or an authentic
place and art is always authentic and it always like touch the feelings of
people so brands need authentic art and authentic artists to communicate in the
future and I think like oh also everyone will want to more or less become an
artist so I think art is gonna be like the connection to the future to be
authentic that makes sense what is the most exciting thing that you're working
on right now like what are you most looking forward to in the next couple
months I mean apart from the fact that you're sending your NFT to the moon and
you're speaking at that conference because that's massive what else that we
may not have covered today are you excited about well like no I don't
have agenda for the next month like I just have until the NASA and then I
don't know what's gonna happen with my life and I also have to like to tell you
that when I I knew about the moon a project I was like okay and what I'm
gonna do next like this is so big that I don't know what can compete with this
in the future so I'm really excited about to know about what's gonna what's
gonna happen after yeah I totally get that it's so big it's like how do I
top this you know but I think I just have a funny feeling that your life will
transform in amazing ways after that and you'll probably get so many opportunities
following that amazing you know achievement I guess to have your your
art included in a space launch and yeah I'm just excited for you I know that
there will be more amazing opportunities coming your way I see Paula's hand up
I don't know if that's a question or yes talking about opportunities being such
an important public figure in web 3 I mean you are a community builder speaker
host what would you say the opportunities are like for someone on web 3 in Mexico
specifically because I've shared this with them with the Latino ambassadors
because in Costa Rica we don't have the same opportunities I think we lack of
information and resources so I'm curious about that in Mexico well with
all these meetings that I have with runs because of the agency like I know that
every every brand and every business needs people that just understands web 3
like they don't have to have a specific role like developer of course they need
developers and artists and all of these but they they need people that just know
about it so that's why like I am so like every time that people ask me well how
can I do to get into the space like just just watch it you know like understand it
listen to it learn from it and just for the knowledge like you can transform your
actual position in your job to a graph 3-1 and like being rewarded for it yes
that's amazing I need more tips from you and I think that's all for my side thank
you so much for everything you're doing amazing seriously does anybody from the
audience have questions that they'd like to come up and ask and then by the way
Anna and I just need to say you have so many supporters in the audience here
today normally when we are on spaces I'll go through I'll just you know look
through the attendees and I see a lot of people from the back community but
today there's a lot of people from your community tell us a little bit about your
community no they're the best like I told you we're all together like we all
know each other we support all of us like we're in the same what's up groups we
see each other like three times a week like it's it's insane how is growing
we're three in Mexico City and in Latin America yeah and I just want to read out
some comments from the thread beneath the spaces here I'll professor Danny
Sanchez said Alaluna come and then NFTs that's so cute let's see and then
crypto humano said Friday to the moon hashtag to the moon this space made me
smile oh and then when supergirl dot Eve said here's supporting Anna not NFTs oh
that's so cute that's so sweet I love that you guys are so kind and supportive
so are are these folks mainly from your online community or are these people that
you get to hang out with in real life because you said you I know you do like
meet up several times a week yeah are the people on the space today a mix of
both or mainly online friends no yes we all know from real life like we hang out
every week well a professor he lives in another state but I know him I love that
so much that's amazing nothing better than being able to to like spend time
with your community in person I honestly wish we could do more of that our
community the back community is so spread out all around the world that it's like
hard to do meetups with like let's say our bad ambassadors but we we do we do do
our best someone from the back community is visiting Montreal later this month and
I'm hoping to be here to spend some time with them in person oh I see a professor
yeah no if you want some representations here in Mexico I can contact you with
whoever you want I I am sure there for sure gonna be people that want to help
you well do not be excellent and you know what I'm so disappointed because we
met in Guadalajara but I actually went to Mexico City the following week and was
there for like a week and a half and had I realized that you were based there I
would have tried to meet up with you and we could have talked in person but
I do have plans to go back I don't have a date yet but I do have plans to
go back soon so I'll definitely reach out and then we can all come to one of
your meetups or something and well it will have to connect again in person yes
please and you have the mic feel free to chime in hi there Jim good afternoon
everyone thanks for having me over here and no I just wanted to share a story of
how I met I do live in the US and I went to Mexico City for business and then as
a side trip I went to like an event where she was right she went above and
beyond making sure that I have a way to get back home would be a USB like a
charger for my phone because it was dead with everywhere three events
unfortunately or fortunately I guess there's a beautiful disaster that happens
and like I said she's like the most humble the most fantastic human being you
know that I've met like you know so far in in this environment when she like I
said it was I met her for like what a few minutes and you went out of your way
and you make sure that I got home back safe but that no it is only or will you
let you know it is on the wheel in the face and we're so really proud of what
you're doing to just like keep the community and the Latino community like
you don't weigh up high there so we love you to death you cannot fake
authenticity so that's why we love and I and you know anything there she stands
behind that was so incredibly sweet thank you so much for sharing that story
it was great paints like a great picture of her character beyond just like
the work she does with the kind of person that she is to Wow seriously
heartwarming and I love seeing all the the hearts the rain of hearts in the
in the audience as you were telling that story that was so so lovely thank
you and thank you Anna for being here this was so such a lovely conversation
you are such an inspiring intelligent a compassionate and especially brave
human being getting to meet you in person with such a delight such a treat
and I really look forward to keeping touch with keeping in touch with you in
the future I think you Paula and I in our communities should definitely stay
connected I think that you're somebody that you know you're a gift to the web
three space and it was it was such a such an honor to have you on and I love the
work that you're doing is incredible and we cannot wait to see the space launch
and everything that comes after and if there's any way that we can participate
in that like I know you're fundraising money for your mom's surgery there's any
way that our community can help with that you know whether that's bidding on
the NFTs or whatever the process might look like please do let us know we will
help promote that within our community and yeah we we're here to support you
and and we love everything that you're doing oh thank you very much thank you
okay that's just for office or like no he was so nice he was a party he look at
me and he was like you're not he recognized my voice so thank you very
much for your guidance you know you cannot fake that smile that smile just
transcends like the airwaves really and yes that moment you're like open your
mouth are like yeah that's it spot on
all right thank you very much and no thank you you need to do before doing
these are like really I just approached you and you were like yes we're gonna do
a Twitter space and you're like you're gonna be the one of the moment in the
of the speaker so really thank you for this opportunity
and of course I'm gonna make sure that you know all the details so you can be
amazing thank you so much and and thank you too to Paula for organizing it and
putting it together really appreciate um the follow-up
Paula um but yeah this this is great this was a really heartwarming space all
around um the compliments from El Professor but
also the conversation was lovely and like I said you're just doing amazing
things I think it's it's plain to everybody in the audience and
it's plain by just the amount of supporters that showed up for you today
so thank you again and we will talk very very soon
thank you everybody have a wonderful wonderful weekend
