to go I want to welcome everybody to bits gets X space my name is CH and I
will be your host today we got an amazing space coming at you today as we
have IOST joining us of course a fully fledged ultra-fast decentralized
blockchain network and ecosystem and I cannot wait to hear what they're all
about joining me today is their CEO Blake Blake it's so good to have you on
and welcome thank you thank you for having me today this is Blake I'm really
honored to be here so yeah let's get started indeed let's get started so
maybe to start can you share the story behind the inception of IOST and like
what was the inspiration or me that you saw in the market for you to create this
project okay it was 2017 there were not many good project like these days so
there were really like there are lots of project they do not really reveal like
what they did before and there were really little information about it and
unlike these I do not really want to say this but like unlike this shitty
projects we were quite different and we were really passionate so basically most
of the people like on our co-founders are like start joining in this industry
from 2013 were 14 around that period from that point like we knew that about
like Bitcoin and we learn about this blockchain space and then we believe
that there are like super great chance and then we also at the same time we
work in a company such as Microsoft uber and also there are people from startup
and exited a few times and there are also people from Goldman Sachs and BCG
and etc so like we believe that once we start a new project with problem
training record then we saw like huge potential since there were only very
small number of projects that like doing good and they'll eat was so slow at the
time and also with that there were lots of lots of problem and issues back then
in 2017 so we start this project with our our co-founders so that that was a
starting point in 2017 but it was it was not really like right now 2024 but there
were a super it was a relatively small market but with a huge potential and we
believe that we could make some changes in this space that was the start from
start of iOS T I see that's very very cool thank you so much for sharing so
maybe can you elaborate on the unique Valley proposition of iOS T okay uh so I
guess all the so we're basically layer one and all the layer one they said we're
fast and secure and very efficient and very with very low price and I think
these are very basic of all the layer one right now but I guess this is
related to other like benefit of using iOS T and I think one of the most
important part and good belly proposition of iOS T is I think we people
can code with JavaScript so right now the 70 to 80 percent of like colder in
the world are using JavaScript and like there are very few projects people can
code with JavaScript at this moment still so I believe like we strongly
believe that blockchain and crypto is still in a very early stage and in the
end most of the people who could code will come in this industry and will code
need to coast smart contract and we believe that like iOS T could give a
huge benefit for these people yeah that's awesome yeah I mean JavaScript
for sure is very commonly used language so it's amazing that you guys
incorporated that into into your your coding code base there maybe you can
share with people something your background maybe we can start with that
as well be curious to hear some more about yourself okay uh so basically I
started my career in consulting industry since I thought that consulting is the
place that I could grow faster than any other place and I could be low school
thinking and work smarter and I think this is the best place that I can learn
and like my career goal was that I want to start my own business that's the
that's the reason that I started my career in consulting industry but when I
was I when I worked there I felt like oh I'm working really hard for this
company and I like work literally 80 to 100 hour per week but I do not really
take any responsibility for this company I just like give some potential answer
to the client but not I do not really take a responsibility and I do not
really know about the result of what I gave to them so like in the end I
decided to move to startup and then like I joined a startup in Korea so I
joined as if one of the starting member and like it was right now is it's gonna
be IPO in this year and it's backed by IMM self-bank it's it's pretty
alleged company and while I was worked there the company's sales was grow more
than 10 times and also as well as the member of the people who worked there
but it was an added tax startup and I felt that the sale of this market is so
clear so I let's say if I work here for five years and I only can see 10x from
that point so but like it was around like 2017 and then blockchain as I
mentioned earlier so I thought that like it's gonna grow like more than hundred
or like thousand acts from that point so that's why I joined crypto and
blockchain as a career class yeah that's that's awesome yeah that's quite quite
an impressive background thank you for sharing so I wanted to move on to
explore iOS T's vision and future of course iOS T's position itself as an
ultra-fast fully fledged and decentralized blockchain network and
ecosystem could you elaborate on why this focus is important for iOS T and
what unique advantages it brings to the users and developers and really how does
it differentiate iOS C from other layer one solutions in the market okay to be
honest I I think all the layer one in this this market we always said the same
thing so I think as I mentioned earlier like we use JavaScript so that like
people can easily test easily code with JavaScript I think that's one of the
like other benches that people can bring from iOS T but also we have a we
currently we do not have a grant system but we have a unique note no system so
company or person who join iOS T as an node partner then like we we grade them
like every quarter and like based on their performance and their contribution
we give back the reward to them like every quarter and like eat would give
them a benefit to be they cannot be free rider in on iOS T at the same time they
can make their like their dad sustainable so yeah I think number one is
easy to code and number two is we're trying to provide a better involvement
for the node partner who onboard on iOS T yeah those tour our strengths awesome
yeah thank you for sharing that so then how do you see the broader blockchain
industry evolving in the future and how do you envision iOS T impacting kind of
the broader blockchain ecosystem in the coming few years okay I guess this is
really tricky and hard question I do not know the future but I guess it's gonna
be I think from let's say five or ten years from now I guess all the change
is gonna be connected and like people can move their offset from one chain to
other chain and like each chain will have their own unique sector and like
unique industry that like they're they have strengths and in this year like
we're trying to make iOS T a bit more like unique and have some specialty in
some industry so and AI is one of them and all of you is one of them so like in
this year like we are trying to focus on these two area in some specific regions
so please stay tuned on this and we'll update you guys with more exciting news
just here awesome yeah you mentioned some regions there so I can maybe I can
ask what is iOS T's focus these days okay so we have very strong community in
Japan and we have many developers there so in this year we're gonna creating a
really interesting project from these Japan market and at the same time we
last year we open up our entity in Hong Kong and collaborate with many many
companies in Hong Kong so right now like we're preparing our WA related projects
and and also reporting what government related parties so I cannot really
rebuild the details here but there's gonna be many exciting projects from
these to market also there is a process called coin life is from Korea and you
guys can have you guys can predict the market with is that and is part product
at the same time you guys can get some benefit with it so I think it's gonna be
really exciting year for iOS T amazing some alpha given out here amazing Blake
thank you so much for sharing so are there any forthcoming projects or
initiatives that you're really particularly excited about okay um so
there's gonna be a few mean coins coming gonna come pretty soon I think like we're
gonna make an announcement probably today or like probably in a few hours or so and
this is just one and there's gonna be a we're gonna launch some platform that's gonna
benefit our royal community members so there are really hard there are hardcore fans in the world
and especially like we want to give back the love of them so this year what we're
gonna focus is we're gonna give back the love to these people with some benefit so
yeah but like this is not a financial bias word like I cannot really
say the details about it but it's we're gonna make some products that
give benefit to our royal community members yeah amazing so speaking of community members I wanted
to touch on the community and some user engagement I wanted to ask how does ios t encourage or manage
community participation and user engagement like how can interested individuals contribute to or
get involved with ios t okay I think uh this is real uh I think like I partially answered this
question already so uh we have a node partner system so it could a node can be a person or
an entity or a team or like any format of them so they could contribute to ios t and as a return
we were going to give a reward to them so we create them every quarter and based on their
performance and their contribution to ios t we give them some benefit like it's it could be usdt
or it could be ios t but like we discussed the reward beforehand they they need what they need
to do is they need to actually submit the document of their planning of every quarter
and like we roughly grade them and give back the estimated reward to them and once we agree to them
we actually uh I'll support them to do so and after the quarter we grade them and give back
the contribution reward to them and I I guess he he did uh support and give a reason for them
to participate in ios community more and contribute more to ios community yeah
that's amazing to hear so definitely a lot of incentives there for everyone listening
uh definitely check that out Blake thank you so much it's been very very insightful you've
provided some great insights uh really appreciate you taking the time and coming up uh maybe i was
hoping uh we can have some audience ask their questions what do you say oh sure yeah of course
so in that case uh amazing yeah i'm gonna call on a few of you i see a lot of uh hands raised a lot

before i open up the questions uh is there a message you'd like to share with our community
before we open the the floor to questions uh yeah so we're um we are not a new project so like
that means that like our image could be a bit looks a bit old but we in this year we want to
change this uh and be most more specialized in some specific field as i mentioned earlier
and like also i really want to uh say uh thank you to the supporter who's are with us for a long time

i'm gonna have prince uh share his question first prince you have the floor yeah uh i have a quick
short question like uh is i still running any grant program for developer any yeah go ahead
currently we do not have grant at this moment but as i mentioned earlier like we uh we could
we have a new no system no partner system so that if you want to develop something
and if you have an idea uh please send us an email then we will we could discuss this
further from there uh because we based on your performance and your contribution uh we
we give back the reward every quarter so it's it's gonna be very uh very similar to grant
but like we want to uh we do not want people to free ride on it so that's why we change
grant to this system yeah awesome thank you uh rico you have the floor
yeah thank you so my question is uh what is the dps uh of your chain
uh current dps is about 8k but like it really depends on the depth or the situation but you do
not have any problem with using uh or running depth on ios t so we could make uh we could
increase the dps uh anytime if you want yeah awesome thank you um all right uh sofi you have

is that uh i want to ask uh how does i ios t address scalability challenges and uh what's
transaction uh true true true output can develop us can you and and use this expect from uh the
platform um i'm i'm not uh sorry i think i do not fully understand the question
okay should i repeat my question yes please yes please all right uh
how does ios t address scalability challenges and what transaction uh true output can develop
us and uses expect from the platform okay uh for the tps side i think i already mentioned it
and i think uh with our pob uh consensus mechanism uh we overcame this challenge of scalability
so if you were interested in uh like how did we achieve our scalability uh we how how did we
achieve this tps and how do we did we overcame it uh it's basically uh we have a
better form of tpo tpos uh system and uh with that we achieve high throughput and high tps on ios t

so far so my question is how does ios t ensure the security for both web 2 and web 3 application
into your ecosystem and how do you intend to attract more users and into your ecosystem
and to the community thank you
okay uh for for the security side i guess is related to our consensus mechanism
so uh pob means the approval of believability so like we use this uh unique consensus mechanism
and at the same time that means that uh we scored the every node uh and we uh grade them with their
previous um performance and how and their action uh on ios network so with that i we prevent the
irregular activities of these node and this uh committee so that we could secure the security
from uh this consensus mechanism that's number one and i'm i'm sorry i forgot the second question
what what what was the second question it was about marketing how how are you going to attract
more users okay uh so uh i guess uh in this year i already mentioned our focuses uh in this year
at the same time we're going to expand our brand awareness in other region as well like south east
south east station market and turkey uh these are the go-to market this year for ios t uh so we're
going to expand that and we uh currently contact with uh very strong k oils network in this region
and we're going to build more foreign awareness in this region uh and we're going to start pretty
soon and that's going to increase our visibility and our marketing in this year amazing blake thank

like to share with the audience before we conclude today's space um i think i already mentioned this
so but as i mentioned earlier so even though we have a bit old image this year is going to be
very different so we're going to change our image and we're going to be we are going to try to
reinvent uh change whole image of ios t and position ourselves in a specific market uh and

was with the last question and on top of what blake has uh said um i have just confirmed uh
you know with the team that uh we have now the simpler paid uh account creation process you know
back up again um and you might think oh you know why has this to do with the um i think the question
was around um how we plan to onboard more users right to the um to the ecosystem and well the
thing is we uh have an unique sort of unique right and i believe some other projects have implemented
this as well um it's already a bit obvious at this point for us but i think it's you know not really
common um ios t addresses are human readable so you know they are five to eleven characters long
and well it can be blake isd you know ch bit get and well i mean your uh the exchanges uh wallets
they are actually you know i think bit gets was uh bit get official or something like that i'm
not 100 sure but yeah i just wanted to mention that and um that'll be it basically you know we
have a free wallet creation uh process which is uh which has a limited quota of course we unfortunately
you know uh can't open it 100 for free um but yeah right now the accounts are i think 50
u.s dollars cents uh worth you know um so it's yeah super simple and easy to register for one
we will announce it a bit later today or tomorrow actually
