Hey guys, can you hear me? Thank you. Can you guys give me a thumbs up if you can hear me?
Start in a couple minutes here.
Got to get my partner fully, fully in here and then we'll get moving.
Remember if you guys like, comment, retweet on my GM tweet,
you can win one of five Cosmic Dragoon premium character NFTs.
So everyone can tweak this out.
All right, I'm gonna switch to my phone so this works better okay
there we go Hey, Holly, what's up? oh are you there
oh sorry my mic was off there i didn't see it because it said uh anyways yeah dmdm how you doing good good we just got to get this uh
tweeted out and get it going that's coming in love it if anyone uh didn't hear what i previously said
if you um there's on my gm tweet for this morning it's a like comment reply and just hang out for
the space and you can win one of five
cosmic dragoon or cosmic yeah cosmic dragoon uh premium character nfts it's our second game
zirpu's here we're starting to get this stuff moving here
so whenever you think we should start just you can make the call
All right. Yeah, man. Well, I just give it a couple minutes let people come in but
No ketchup man. How's your week been? How you been doing?
I rested yesterday, but I worked the last 12 days straight. So it's been pretty brutal
So you've just been helping fix people's
minds for a bunch of days and now you're gonna help people blow people's minds with what's coming
up with dungeon next right that's the that's the deal i got backbone up here thanks for coming man
good morning good morning jg man how's it going brother oh you know just uh doing the do life's always in session
you know I'm packing up my stepdaughter to go to college we're packing up our condo because
we no longer have to live in this crazy expensive place now that she's going to college we can
we got like we're like I don't want to say empty nesters but we can we get to like boogie and have
a different type of life it's gonna be fun dude me and my wife are so close to that because we have our first going to university now
and then we have two older ones and then, but then we had our four-year-old. So we're like,
you know, we're not going to be empty nesters for a long time now. It's going to be another
14 years before that happens. But I still get to have the same experience of taking my kid off to university. So I'm excited about that.
It's like a bittersweet thing, right?
Like on one hand, look, I love my stepdaughter.
I've been with them since she was two, right?
But don't get me wrong, right?
A part of me is like, damn, I get to be number one now.
I get to be number one now.
Anyway. I love it. That's up?
We might boogie in a camper and just go
cross-country for six months to a year.
Dude, that's what my wife wants to do. That's our
dream, man. That's amazing.
I mean, we got this little window.
Yeah, there's a crazy, awesome
map about traveling through the whole
Your wife's Canadian, I think, right? So you got to come up
totally love that. That'd probably happen if we
pull this off. I think we might. I'm being
serious. We might pull it off. I love that's that's beautiful man it's so much fun
the cool thing with this running crypto stuff you can just you can do that on the road man like
the internet's made everything possible right so you can still run the business and
be running around the country i love it yeah no i'm swear that's the plan we're trying to see if
we can if we can make it work because she does stuff too right like online and she like sells uh antiques so if we're in a camper like
going cross-country she can get all kinds of stuff it can be like a lot of i think it could
be a real cool adventure anyway back to crypto if i didn't have to work my job, I'd probably be living in Bali or something like that
Just nice some beautiful place. It's inexpensive
It's a dream man Well, yeah people are coming in and out so I guess maybe we get started soon here
Yeah, I think we probably should jump into it man. So
Welcome to today's dungeongeon Space, everyone.
Hopefully, if you're listening online a little bit later,
make sure you still tweet it out and let people know what you're hearing.
But yeah, we haven't had one for a while.
So we thought we'd jump into this and kind of share what's been going on with Dungeon lately.
And obviously, we have our friends in the space with the Backbone who've been helping in terms of giving us our NFTs for all our games.
And, you know, we're doing lots of cross promotions and helping each other out
and eventually going to do some defy with them as well. So, but yeah, Lee,
I'd love to hear like what's going on. Like what,
why don't you give us a kind of a state of the dungeon address? Any,
any ideas that you want to share about what's going on now or you
know what has gone on maybe we start with like where we're at today what have we done what's
the vision and you know what have we accomplished yeah maybe i just start with like a really brief
intro um we started crypto dungeon about three years ago in may um and the idea was to make a
gaming company it was going to be this fun thing
that i was doing with my friends and we were going to use the validation to fund that which you know
i i didn't understand the whole bear bull cycle kind of when i was doing this i wasn't really a
crypto guy but um yeah i mean we we built this entire thing during the bear which is pretty
brutal um been validating multiple different chains
you know make some money here and there but it's it wasn't really enough to to do what everything
we wanted to do but um you know in the last eight ten months here we launched dungeon chain
um which is an l1 on cosmos i don't know if you guys know cosmos ecosystem i most of you in here probably do but um yeah i mean we we're
our own sovereign chain uh we've launched two games already uh cosmic quest and cosmic dragoon
we have a third one kind of ready but we slowed down for a bit just because the the market was
just terrible and um really no one was wanting to spend money. And the focus that we had before was,
all right, we're going to be able to get some money here
for making games and then use that money to make more games,
which didn't work out as well as we hoped.
So we took about a little hiatus here for the last month
and just sort of regrouped and tried to figure out a better way
to kind of fund this thing
going forward but um the thing i realized we had to go back to our roots like we we got really big
and we got um sort of successful by giving away a lot of stuff and you know i think i want to get
back to that so we we dropped the price of our games from ten dollars to one dollar um really
just trying to get players in and
kind of build the excitement build the hype and you know obviously if anyone's been paying attention
the twitter's been growing really really fast here and um people are starting to catch on so we just gotta doctrinate those people and get them to try out dungeon chain and play the game for a dollar and i think once we can do that um this uh this can get
thanks man well yeah that was a quick summary um it's been a lot of work because i mean you started
out on juno uh validating and then becoming part of the you know council trying to help move things
along there obviously you know it wasn't the easiest time. Like you said, the bear market.
We realized probably the best thing is to have a chain for our game.
So we have the interactions.
And it just makes the whole experience a lot better.
Then we launched, obviously with that, you launched the Dragon Coin,
which we had on StreamSwap.
And it did like a triple immediately almost.
And so it was a good investment.
And now we're trying to basically build.
And I think what I was hearing from you there was
one of the things we realized is we started with crypto
and we need to really focus with crypto
and crypto and gaming are kind of two interesting worlds.
We're trying to intersect.
Someone, you know, something like Alchemy,
people have been trying to find how to turn, you know gaming into crypto gold for a long time now. And what we're realizing is, you know, something like Alchemy, people have been trying to find how to turn, you know, gaming into crypto gold for a long time now. And what we're realizing is, you know,
there's two communities. There is some overlap, obviously, there's a lot of gamers in the crypto
community. But there's also, you know, some people who are just pure crypto, and they're not interested
in the gaming side. And there's also pure gamers who are like, kind of wary of crypto. And we're
trying to bridge the gap because we know that
like basically blockchain is going to take over as technology everything including gaming and so
if we get in early we can help bridge that gap uh create some awesome community which we do have
like it's been amazing we have some people who stuck through us you know it's been a long bear
here but we keep like you said keep building and we've been forging partnerships we launched um started with
ashball um nft series on um dungeon chain with backbone and then since then we've launched uh
our game um dragoon which is also a backbone and that's the one he was talking about if you want
to buy uh a one dollar nft you can play cosmic dragoon which is an awesome dragon fire game
you're basically it's like a little scrolling shooter type,
you know, flying games. When I was a kid,
I used to play like the B bomber games and all that. And it's, it's,
it's a lot of fun. It's a long game. It's got a lot of work,
definitely worth a dollar. So we'd love people just to try it out.
And then if you like it, you can buy the,
there's NFTs that go along with it that you basically can get special characters,
special weapons, it updates, it saves all the data.
So we're actually bridging the technology that way as well,
where we're saving all the metadata for our games
And Backbone has worked that EPI really well,
where everything's working in terms of,
we started with Cosmic Quest and started that connected.
And now we moved it over to our own chain, and that's working really well as well.
So what we're looking at is, like, how do we move forward?
So what are you thinking?
Anything that you're seeing right now that you wanted to talk about, about you know the future trajectory i guess yeah i mean the the
problem that we had before was really just we need to be much bigger the community has to keep growing
because cosmos itself really it's a great product they have great technology but marketing wise
they're they're not really doing what they need to do to keep up with their competitors.
So, you know, one of the visions that I had was to help with that.
So we need to get really big and much better at marketing so that we can grow Dungeon
and bring some of those people into the Cosmos ecosystem because that's going to benefit all of us.
And I'm hoping that we could be very useful to them and that's part of
the way that i plan on getting funding for continuing to build the games and other things
that we're trying to do but uh the original vision i had really was to use the games to develop the
chain and get people to come in and play so i really i don't think we should be focusing on
making money on those things.
Maybe once we get on mobile and we can get on the app store, which is again, um, the next part of our plan here, we really, we launched these two games and you can play them both on our website,
but, um, they don't really work that well with Apple, um, in terms of the iPhone that you can
play it on Android, uh, with, with certain certain android devices you just use your browser in the kepler wallet but yeah i mean it's uh i want to make it much more easy for anyone who
wants to play or just interact with us just to use one wallet um and and maybe in the future here we
actually create our own wallet that's like a one-stop shop for everything on dungeon so you know we partner with backbone they have our nft
platform um they're continuing to improve and develop that which i think is going to be much
bigger and as we grow more and more partners they're working with uh regera which is another
thing we're going to bring up today maybe hopefully yeah yeah and hopefully us too but
well maybe hopefully yeah yeah and hopefully us too but yeah i mean um the whole idea is grow
and then once we grow we get more chain activity we get more people playing the games we have more
chain transactions we can drop the inflation which is the problem of almost every proof of
stake blockchain out there which you know you're just you're just creating more and more tokens
there's no max cap so once we
get chain activity up and people are actually transacting much more frequently and all that
we can cut the inflation rate down and really make this a viable economy but yeah in order to do that
you need a massive community so we're not a meme coin but we we have refused to take VC money so far for lots of different reasons.
I feel like inevitably that's just a rug waiting to happen.
And that has limited our growth.
But I think in the long run, if we just keep going here, this will be successful as long as we don't give up.
Nice. I just saw you were talking about Backbone.
I saw he had his hand up there.
Yeah, JG, anything that you want to add in?
Oh, yeah. I was going to say marketing.
I saw somebody on Twitter. I think it was AirdropBed.
He was like, so are we going to hire Sidney Sweeney?
I was like, that would probably work.
I hate to say it, but that's the type of shit.
It's an attention game, and Cosmos is not very good at grabbing the attention sometimes.
It's unfortunate. It's been a game and Cosmos is not very good at grabbing the attention sometimes. It's unfortunate.
It's been a really it's been a real uphill battle.
But I think I think there's a look, there's a different way to tackle it.
And I think I think Magmar is kind of on the on the money.
Because as these businesses, these huge corporations and like even nation states, I had a I had
a meeting with him and he was saying that governments are going to want
their own blockchains, not just for nefarious reasons, but to track shit in the government.
It's fantastic. It's a ledger. And the Cosmos has the best stack for that. And so if that becomes
the narrative, I mean, if the Cosmos right, everything's like the multi chain narrative, that would really be a major problem solver and major value accrual.
Right. And that would then put put all of us. Right. Who've been grinding it out in the cosmos, like right in the crosshairs of a tremendous wave of attention and energy, right? I really do. I mean, and it's not the
fast game. Like, this is like the new, they're pivoting again, but it's definitely, I think,
a smart pivot. And I mean, that's one of the reasons why, you know, Backbone does what we do.
You know, we feel that it is just so worth it to grind it out and to continue to educate and get our communities into these places early.
And to make games and have fun, that's a whole other level.
The gaming industry's billions of dollars.
Solving the gaming Web3 conundrum in the cosmos is where I think it can actually be solved because of the of the seamlessness of the tech
So that's it we got to become a force in marketing and
The games is one way of doing that we make them free of player one in this case
We had to do some kind of minimal cost we chose a
dollar because you have to mint the nft to play because that's how we authenticate the user it's
done through their their wallet and kepler um the uh the game checks to see if you have the nft and
then the nft stores your game data on it so as you're playing as you level up your dragon it's
all stored on your nft itself so you save your data and
you own that on your in your own wallet it's kind of unique in comparison to like web2 games but
well the plan that we we have a vision for the long term is people will be able to log in with
their you know the new telegram wallet or they come in they use a privy or a you know some type of like twitter or gmail
login um and they get the game and they play the game but they don't realize in the background
there's all these nft transactions going on it's all it's all on the blockchain but they don't need
to be crypto people to play it right and that's that's the ultimate goal to try to branch out
get people playing all these basically playing playing on our blockchain without necessarily knowing too much about it.
And then we kind of help them slowly understand
So we got to work on that and figure out
That's part of the vision.
And we think that vision will help grow things.
I saw Galactic Binding Company pop in here.
but hopefully they'll come back.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like like that's the thing is like we really want to grow we have to get out of web 3 um exclusively
so if we can get on the apple store we can get on android store um sure we we lose whatever
percentage we have to share with them on in-app purchases and things like that but it's kind of irrelevant the main
goal which we sort of deviated from for a while was really to get big and grow because if we do
that um when there's a dex deployed on the chain and that is another thing that we're hoping to do
and i know backbone you guys are working on one right say that again. Sorry.
You guys are building your own decks, right?
Oh, well, I mean, we acquired White Whale.
And what we're doing is we're integrating the functionality of the decks into our site. That's what we're kind of working on right now so that we can sunset the other website.
But, you know, we have that functionality.
And if you guys need the decks we're we're happy to
deploy the contracts oh we i mean we want it i mean if yeah we're gonna have we're gonna have
a decks whether it's you guys or you know well i want to look either way either way don't don't
double the whole point is like let's not uh redundantly build stuff if we have contracts
right so if we need a deck we make a deck dex exactly yeah i'd rather not if you guys
maintain that we have that partnership that's even better yeah and you know and the thing is
it's like okay what are the games for well the games are really that's what draws everyone in
so like why is you know dogecoin so valuable it literally has zero utility well we do have
utility we're going to have all these products and everything like that but you know you got to be able to bring people in and that
is the difference all these you know blockchains say they're going to make games but they don't
we've actually made games but we don't have people playing them so like we have to continue to grow
and develop the marketing and make them yeah the thing who says is not the easiest right now it
doesn't have the most users in the cosmos so trying to build a user base we have to kind of you know obviously draw
from cosmos but also try to draw from outside and that's what we're talking about with those
bullets and trying to find ways to integrate with the systems right so so we need cosmos to grow too
so we gotta if we're just using cosmos you you know, people that are in the system already,
we're just going to be stalling forever. So it's part of my plan to make Cosmos succeed so that we
succeed. Because we can, we are a Cosmos chain, we can, we can connect to anything using, you know,
IBC Eureka, but like, it is advantageous for us to have you know daddy cosmos get really
big and they've got they've got a lot of money and i think if we become more valuable to them
then they might actually see that and want to help us too so yeah i was gonna say speaking of one of
my favorite projects in the cosmos and probably it might be i don't know if it's the first nft i bought from backbone on um or maybe the second i'm not sure anyways um but uh galactic
mining companies in the house and uh they're doing some cool stuff they've been building they're
trying to build um across many different things uh they obviously have um done a really good job
at creating this galactic mining company nft series which i think was the biggest selling nft
on terra and now they've gone to osmosis and i get bitcoin every friday i go to my
dow dow and i click on claim and i get free bitcoin now every every single week so
welcome to the stage there how's it going galactomy company
How's it going, Galactamite Company?
And it's actually GM for me.
It's still before noon and I'm on a space.
The Scotts must not have been too hard last night.
Everybody's enjoying the summer.
I usually let it dead air play for about an hour.
If no one shows up, then I close it down.
You're right. I've been running around. I had a good first
couple hours with Deving's own popped in. You know,
Michael Loonstick was there for a little bit, but, you know, he's got football on Sundays now with his kids
By football, you mean soccer, right? Yeah, yeah.
I try. I agree. I call it football team.
For all our listeners out there. Not like the American football that's
about to start. I think the notification
came out last week that it was the last Thursday
of no football until February or whatever.
The Canadian Football League's been running for a while now.
You guys aren't paying attention?
We're like the minor, minor leagues of the NFL.
Yeah, that's where all the wash-ups go and yeah
exactly the people who can't make camp exactly sorry um hey you said that you were talking with
debbing zone i saw that i saw he put up a little uh tweet with a link to like regira and i went on
there and i clicked on the builders and show the different teams that are building on rogera and um you know like obviously some cool stuff going over there
did you do you have any like alpha from us like that itself with that link was alpha man c butt
would have to come in in this space and talk about it i have not i i literally bought my first roger
yesterday trying to figure out i was testing their cross-chain stuff so I had some USDC on base
ThorChain address I haven't been able to get it
Right on the Ruggiero website.
Okay. Just use their swap photo
feature thank you it was it was it was uh nice uh you know mega lunatic was yelling at me yesterday
he's like i told you to get some i told you yeah and prison too yeah yeah i Yeah. I wanted to buy in
They got a strong community.
They're the ones more handling
the Einhard project so I'm not
he said again I don't quote I don't know I just winging the name We'll make an alternative pronunciation. We'll make you the definitive alternate pronunciation.
Every time I say it, I feel like I'm about to say Finkel and Einhorn from H. Ventura Pet Detective.
So that's basically a GMC outpost, though, that will be on Rogera, right?
And I know there's been the information that was initially released. It's so fluid because, you know, nothing's ready over on Jira. a more finalized thing when, when time comes, because I think now I originally think they wanted to do a community
but now that there's going to be basically a bonding token that they're
smaller communities and stuff.
I wish he could get in in the crowd, actually.
I wish C-Buck could get in on the weekends.
Fox is here, actually, so maybe he can jump up.
Yeah, because he would know how to pronounce it.
See, I didn't pronounce wrong.
I don't know how to pronounce it.
But basically, you're getting a percentage of that going towards GMC, right?
That's why it's an outpost?
Yeah, that outpost should boost GMC's treasury with funds for either mining, DeFi, whatever's the play at the time.
Mining equipment right now is pretty still hard to get and you know expensive you don't know when the cycle's
gonna end so it's it's a toss-up on mining equipment or just hold for the bear market
and then buy them cheaper and run them up in the uh in the bull again you know uh well we're gonna
take a sand it's gonna bounce next week right he said that the alt-red is coming. I saw one of his tweets.
all over the place. It's hard to guess, isn't it?
I love the short. I don't like the long.
This market has gone pretty weird.
Three weekends in a row, it's been basically pumpy.
So I'm waiting for – I thought Heath was about to break out pretty good.
Yeah, I mean, as soon as that happens.
Yeah, if it breaks its all-time high, I think we're on for another Another run here. So that'd be so good
And that's the thing like I I launched the games with what I thought was going to be the timing of when the altcoin run was gonna happen
and then you know they had that conflict with Israel and Iran and that that just like made everything tank
so just unfortunate timing but like
We've held back the third game which actually is probably the best out of the three by far um it's got a lot more nft interaction
you know there's puzzles to solve it's actually a pretty cool game um but we're gonna probably
wait until the hype and the community excitement starts to get back up there
wait until the hype and the community excitement starts to get back up there
the price action was killing us I think the community just got just discouraged
by seeing that but as soon as everything starts to pump again everyone starts to
get crazy and that's when we really start releasing stuff again and start
running hard so I that's why I've been focusing on the marketing until that
happens just yeah the marketing right now is probably key for you guys.
And yeah, launching more games is tough right now.
Because it's like no one, everybody wants everything.
And then when it comes out, it's, you know, ghost town.
Yeah, but if we can just get this, like a little bit of an alt run here, get a little bit of excitement back.
I mean, even spaces like this, I actually thought we'd have a lot more.
But, like, during a bull run, it's so much busier and so much bigger, and there's so much more hype.
And I remember when I first came in, that's kind of when we launched.
And just as soon as we started doing everything we just had that luck of
the the bear starting and everything got just terrible but yeah i'm i'm almost to the point
where i think this space there's something messed up with it because before i got in the speaker
the sound would drop out after like five seconds in here yeah i don't know if it was because you guys were trying to invite me as a
speaker but i see i see people dropping in and out of the space and i have a feeling that they're
they're coming in getting five seconds of sound and then uh and then it's going dead air that's
why i had uh asked that it rug oh seriously you're coming in it's not working crazy that that's what was
happening to me and i'm watching i'm watching the you know the profiles go in and out like
boxes in and out like you know what maybe maybe it's because i switched from my pc to the phone
and maybe that has something to do with it because i well i had another i had the ash
down count on there too and it wasn't
showing for me and then i realized i came back in and so you're right people coming in and out right
right he's right i just i just clicked on uh my macbook and listened for a second and it
automatically just stopped listening on my macbook
i had a feeling watching all those go in and out
they can't hear after five seconds
don't feel so discouraged
people have been trying to
I think we should kill this one
and you should just start another one but there's something definitely weird and and i mean it's
recorded and all that's great but yeah it's the participation that you're kind of chasing right
like we're tracing the interaction i think yeah all right let me let me rug it then and we'll
we'll try again let's rug this bitch do it let me rug it then. And we'll, we'll try again. Let's rug this bitch.
Let me launch it on this account then.
All right. I'll see you guys in like two minutes.
