So I think that was an extremely concise and great intro from you guys.
But I think since we're, you know, an audio AMA, it's pretty hard to wrap our heads around,
or for the audience, or for the audience, rather to wrap their heads around what kind of game
and how you're going to do, you know, what are you know, you know, how can you do, it's pretty cool and then they're playing, you know, how you're doing, you know, what's a huge team that you're doing?
that was our thing uh building any game is hard doing a game like that is like you need a hundred
million dollar budget in five years and we knew that having done this when i was at disney we did
a game i thought two we green lighted two games of at that time this was 10 years ago 40 million
dollars each took three plus years each and both failed and that was with all the budget all the
teams everything and and disney ip and it couldn't buy a hit so knowing this and knowing that if you
take five years and crypto people move on to the next thing so we want to make a game that we can
get quick to market follow if you guys are familiar with clash of clans and clash royale it's from
supercell and they're really good at these mobile games that are playable iterate keep tweaking them
until they nail the formula and get it out the door and then they become you know mega money makers so
we want to follow that format of get a game that would be able to get out there and because they're
so difficult have the risk in the game come out but if there's small things that you can just change
and tweak and optimize that you keep increasing gameplay you can do that over a couple of months
as opposed to blowing 50 million dollars on a triple a game and it's just dead and then you can't fix it
so that was kind of the strategy at a high level of doing a mid-core game like this
we want to break ground uh in the sense that no one's done a card racing game before and so we're
combining two genres so we can actually say where the world's first that when we've gone to gdc people
just go nuts because no one's been able to pull that off yet um so they're like wow that's a lot of
fun um other reason we saw was that hey flat out you look at all these action adventure web 3 games
sorry they're all just a bunch of clones like i look at them and i go okay animations guys jump up
and down hit things it's just different characters it's different skins on the same type of game
uh when we were at we uh ygg web 3 fest game festival last november ours was the game that
people were saying was that this actually feels and looks different from everybody else so we knew
the strategy was good there so that's why we did it now the gameplay is really simple
anybody could pick up and play but hard to master so if you're familiar with mario kart you pick your
character here we have mixed bots these are nfts they're special they're like your tamagotchi
characters each one comes with certain specific characteristics that will depend on the way you
like to race just like you know if you like bowser in mario kart he's too heavy he can't take turns
really well i'm a drifter in mario kart so i won't use bowser same thing here you'll have to analyze
that now in mario kart the big thing is you know random pop-ups give you powers here we've made it
card deck building so before the game starts you build your card deck and you try to optimize that
against the races you're at so if i know i'm going against a uh revenant and i know he's a certain
playing style i'll probably change my card deck but then he might think that oh i'm assuming that so
he'll change something up so once again easy to pick up hard to master because there's that game
theory element into it so now instead of getting random cards you're picking up you're building
your own card deck we race you use your cards you pick up mana and you try to basically win in this
race now you can start for free which sounds like fun which is great you get in start accumulating
winning you can get our win our in-game currency suds and then you can use that to go into the pay arena
or you can buy suds directly and go right into the pay arena because that's where the fun is
in the pay arena is where you really get to rock out so i get to race i pay an entry fee
and every time i race i win money back so it's like a poker table so i can let's say the example
in one of the modes you win five times but only two losses i can win up to let's say you know three
to five x my money we're going to introduce a degen mode where it's a higher cost to enter
but the payout might be like 20 to 30 x but you might only get one life so the whole game is like
to be like poker like ante up play every time you win you win money back lose too many times you bust
out you pay to come back in so now i've collected my earnings from winning that's awesome another way
for me to earn is that i might be race me and revenant might be racing tim you might not even like to
play games but you're an avid sports gambler and you're like this looks good games only like less
than three minutes these two are going at it i can see their uh their records on chain i'm willing
to throw five to ten dollars on revenant or pavel um and then when the the pool comes together
now you as a if let's say you bet on revenant he wins you know you win part of that pool uh the
prize pool with everybody else but revenant because he was the racer he's incentivized to
win because he gets a percentage of that prize pool as well let's say five to ten percent so now
as a racer he's earned two ways not only by beating pavel in the pay arena but also winning the betting
betting pool so the prize pool and the betting pool you as a gambler get to just win the the betting
pool which is fun now you take your winnings which is awesome and you go well what should i do with
them should i cash them out we're saying no stake it in one of the arenas the arenas are like it's
basically like you're putting money into the poker table and you're collecting the fees you get a
percentage so all the rate that we collect in the uh mix on collects in the arena fees we distribute a
lot of that we distribute what we collect back to even the stakers so that's another way to do it like
the d5 people you stake you get it in if one arena has a better payout than another you'll move to that
one until it adjusts and you'll try to front run so there's a lot of different d5 elements there too so
what we say is whether you're a gamer a gambler or a dgen you can earn money all three ways or one of
the ways so it creates a nice flywheel and then you invite friends to come in and then you get a
percentage of those winnings uh you get earned from that as well so that's kind of adds the whole fly
wheel there uh revenant if you that i explained like the entire system of what it goes from start to
finish how any player can benefit and earn and create into this ecosystem um of mix mob and earn
more mix mob tokens uh reven if you want to dive in or add more to the gameplay uh go for it
yeah i think pavel right there just destroyed it i think in terms of um game in terms of being a gamer
and being okay well like um watch and support which is our watch and bet system is actually a really
good way to incentivize um micro qls to start streaming on the platform as well um this is
because um like if you stream on twitch on watch and bet uh we give a percentage of revenue share
uh of the total price pool of what whatever people are betting on you back to the streamers so this
incentivizes micro qls to keep streaming and this creates a fire wheel effect that hey they know that
oh maybe i'm right now i'm earning a few cents but if i get like maybe 10 more people betting on on my
games i can earn a few dollars per game and and this will encourage me to keep talking to people
about you know like then i'm playing mix mob come and check me out and like this will get more people
coming in and more people coming in would then translate to more people betting on you and then
this will this will create a very very healthy cycle of um like people betting a constant influx of
like a passive income for you and for like the qls out there and in turn like this would give like
a lot of opportunities that gamers really never had to have uh in like developing countries like
uh especially in like southeast asia people that really wanted to stream all their lives but
it wasn't really meaningful for them to play games back then because like you don't get much money and
your parents are probably telling you to hey to go and find a real job like my parents did uh when i
was young so right now like with this um revenue stream out there for you you can actually think
that hey like you can tell your parents hey i'm actually earning a side income and they will feel
like less inclined or less uh and they'll confirm less to the stigma that gaming is actually bad for
you so yeah awesome and i i think that's definitely um you know uh paints a much clearer picture to uh
for our audience um to sort of understand how how mix mob works but i want to circle back to um
something you guys touched on in the beginning which is the team behind mix mob i think that's
obviously super important that um you know um as you mentioned any game is extremely hard to to
pull off and and build and attract uh real users um so talk to us a little bit more about the team
um i know uh you shared a little bit about your personal backgrounds but um what other um members
are on your team and perhaps you can share more information about um game dev experience uh between you
guys yeah man for sure so simon uh my co-founder and like i said he's the game director ceo he
my first startup like or my last startup in 2012 it was a kids book publishing platform so simon was
our first hire and we hired him just as like a lead artist he's just this young kid super talented
really smart awesome energy and we hired him on um when that company didn't uh do well because
all kids apps went to zero and couldn't make any money he actually went on to a career at uh electronic
arts innovation department so that's where he worked on uh fifa and brought some of the innovations
into he was just an innovation lab where they would come up with new ideas and things to increase
gameplay and mechanics in fifa and then he went on to work at lego as well and then big one he was
actually at poker stars so when poker stars and this is the kind of thing he brings back to mix mob
and this card racing game is that poker stars like poker for casual fans is really actually boring
because most people are just folding the whole time and the way the really smart players and the shark
they can do really well and just feed on you know the newbies the fish so they actually came in they
were hired simon and wonderful to actually sit there and actually make it more casual and simpler
which kind of took away all the the sharks and increased it better for retail and people have
some more fun with it and they actually brought the user base up so actually some of our investors
are actually professional poker players like oliver blakey from a sense of assets or paper ventures now
and um he was even saying he's like yeah i quit playing poker stars because of that simon
so it's pretty funny um our art director uh wancho he is i mean you guys have seen our art it's just
unbelievable what he's worked on um he actually went to school with simon um the video game and design
school and became a really big artist in uh street art especially in mexico los angeles across the u.s
uh he's worked with microsoft um nike adidas a lot of their designs and so he and a lot of uh vinyl
figures so that's where you see all the work uh from us um our dev uh developers of work at microsoft
on the xbox team in project management um some of them worked at epic as well and uh let's see some
other studios would be uh yeah so they worked on unreal epic electronic arts so i would say
our game our game designers um david d uh he was also an electronic art so all people who have
probably at least 10 years experience working at big studios and then they made the jump to crypto
only for the sole reason they're like i've done everything in regular games this seems like a new
paradigm shift this seems fun i like the crowd in here and let's try to really
awesome um that sounds extremely cool and sounds like you guys have you know a ton of experience
i think you know having more experience in gaming and then switching over to crypto seems like it's
it's a lot um it's a lot safer than having crypto experience and trying to enter the the gaming industry
um that said um i think now um it's a good time also to elaborate on the role of the the token itself
so mxm um talk to us about its role within the mixed mob ecosystem as well as um how it impacts um
gameplay and governance uh let's see i'll let revenant start here just because uh he likes the stuff and
he likes to talk about how especially how it's the you know the fuel for the esports league uh you want to
start from there revenue and then i'll jump in for the rest yeah so i i think in terms of the
esports initiative so mxm is one of the ways to incentivize people to play our esports tournament
we think that esports it's uh the esports vertical is something that helps give a lot of incentives
towards um current players and it's one way to reward players out there with our like if you look
if we deep dive in our tokenomics we do allocate uh ecosystem funds towards this and uh and this is one
way we can incentivize people to keep um playing mxn like when people get mxn out there from like
esports tournament or like from winning tournaments or whatnot like one way you can do it is uh to
further roll the ball down is you can stake it for sats which is our in-game uh virtual currency
this virtual currency can be used uh like what pebble said to be uh to be wager on our ranked arena and
this could potentially mean that if you feel that you're a competitive and you're a very good
player uh this just means more earnings for you and uh this will keep rolling and like even if you
don't win and even if you don't uh feel that you're that good right now like it is a motivation for you
to say like hey you know like maybe today i only earned 100 sats or maybe today i've lost 50 or 100
sats but i know i'm still getting better like yesterday i was doing 200 sats uh but right now i'm
like i'm like negative 100 so like this they see a way of progress in their skill level and eventually
like people can it's similar to poker where people can say that hey i'm actually winning a bit of money
right now like uh maybe one month later they can be hey i'm actually net net positive i'm earning 50
sats a day and this compiles maybe like who knows like in half a year's time that guy can be earning
a thousand sats or five thousand sats or like like maybe a five dollars uh worth of sats or like five
dollars worth of mxn out there so this will keep compiling and i we feel that one way that helps
really motivate player incentive like in terms of playing games like um a lot of gamers when they
play games part of the primary motivation is fun and the secondary motivation also you want to know
that they're improving at something and this and this satisfaction of the of them showing that
they're improving something is really inbuilt into mix mode so and the tokenomics itself so i would say
that uh right here we we are on to do something great so yeah i'll pass my time to pavo to elaborate
more yeah so what the reverend saying is like you come in earn suds buy suds as you accumulate those
because from your gameplay you swap those out to mxm right and this is what you with the main token
on the governance side what we're really keen with the mxm token is real governance over the esports league
so i watch f1 i watch fifa i watch the nba big fan but am i really part of the community even though
they call me that no i have no say in anything right so in mix mob what we want is the holders
who hold mxm they can actually instead of just doing empty proposals like you know dows and things
like that we want real governance so for example you know right now the game is very uh skilled it's
skilled to win but we do know people are asking that hey if you introduce new things that i can
get higher weapons better mixed spots premium stuff and i want to pay to win like almost like
it's f1 style then we should allow that to happen so we should have people vote and say yeah we want
to pay to win league and escape a skill to win league let them vote do that okay how many esports
teams should we allow in x in a certain league that we start a separate one um is it 10 who votes
in things like that let the voters do that oh we're gonna have the world championships uh coming
up which city should it be should it be in singapore should it be in tokyo uh should it be in uh you know
manila let the holders vote right and then we go okay we're gonna direct all the funds over there
and that's how it is so that's on the the governance side why mxm is super important and then on the d5
side like i said is this is your way for mxm to actually earn from the different arenas so as new
we're gonna pop up arenas like with different game modes like it's land so right now you know you have
the hero mode you'll have the degen mode maybe we'll maybe we'll have the kucoin arena right in
the next year when we have these customized where the kucoin arena you know kucoin holders come in
benefit and they have mxm and kucoin gets a lot of the protocol fees from there they enter there but
mxm is the main one they earn from and then what happens is is let's say kucoin arena comes up and
then another different let's say a guild has an arena as if they don't have enough players the uh the
ray the apy will adjust automatically to increase more stakers to come in more stakers come in they
invite more players then the then you got a bigger liquidity pool playing and then you'll earn more
from that so it's really well thought out that what the ways you can the mxm is the juice for the
governance juice for incentivized esports and then also how to how to have liquidity with the players
coming and have everybody keep earning hope that wasn't too complicated
no that's awesome i i'd like to follow up on that as well though um and and highlight the
global mobile launch uh which i believe is coming um this month um can you guys just share a little
bit more about it um um and and the launch yeah so that is yeah that's i mean that's our big news
that's what we've been waiting for all this time you know we had a desktop version going that was kind
of like a partial closed beta allowed us to test things out gameplay balancing one of the reasons
games are really difficult to make it's not the it's not the special effects and things like that
it's the game design of balance like i've had my kids sit here download on the switch like nintendo
games from the 80s and spend hours playing it and that doesn't even compare to any of the graphics they
see today but the games are balanced and fun so uh took us a while to balance that out and then
you know mobile is where it's at uh mobile just i think in asia between asia and latin america
there's estimated there's a billion mobile gamers right um who just sit there and want to pick it up
play so the game was designed always that you know i'm on the mrt in i live in singapore so i'm on
the train the mrt i've got minutes behind between stops one i just jump on the mix mob race some people
because each race takes less than two and a half minutes win some money and bet and do that stuff
so it's heavily mobile based uh the target regions are we've got partners in the philippines we've got
partners in uh uh in indonesia in india latin america really to drive to get to these you know
the major downloads so everybody's earning um they're making money on it they're telling their
friends and that all kicks off next tuesday so heavily mobile on android and uh android and apple
you'll be able to just sit there you can start for free we have a gasless wallet for you and as you
get more comfortable signing up enter the pay arena and start playing the way it is uh revenant you can
dive into our airdrop i mean our play to airdrop campaign that we've got going on with and who all
our guild partners are that are going to be pushing this come next tuesday yeah for sure so to add on
like um right now we are launching a play to airdrop uh come may 14 that means that we'll have daily
incentives daily missions leaderboard style uh we even have like a like leaderboard qualifiers for
our esports tournament at the end of the month so like to give a bit more insights of the guilds as
well we are partnering with some of the biggest guilds in the space we're partnering with vgg for
indonesia we have vgg aag calf for philippines we have ygg for latin america we have olagg
vietnam we have vietnam we have um we have weeg as well so essentially we have got most of the
southeast asias covered if not all and even like some uh in terms of pro teams as well we do have
like some of them interested in uh in and they're from like malaysia and some other um some other
so yeah uh in terms of in terms of what will happen so essentially on may 30th we're gonna open
our 10 day 10 day qualifier uh esports league and it's gonna be leaderboard style and the top 100
will essentially qualify the top 100 will essentially qualify to the the qualifiers on june 15th and the
top 24 out of those top 100 will qualify uh to the final in june 22nd and that will be the championship
day itself and in terms of price pool for top 100 players get a distribution of up of 10k uh of up to
10k price pool so yeah and it's like 10k usd and it's all distributed because we we do really want
like the trigger down down the road or rather down like the leaderboard in a sense like compared to
traditional esports where um players get actually anything like we feel that that shouldn't be the
way that we should be building especially since we are community centric and especially since we are
building from the ground up we want to incentivize people to just keep playing and like to reward them
for like their their growth in a sense and yeah so essentially that's why we're the top 100 players
and on the final day itself there will also be another 10k price pool for the for the top 20
players so essentially essentially like there is a lot of incentives like if you haven't heard enough
we have got over 20k worth of price pool just for playing tournaments there is also raffles uh for
our tournament for just participating and we are also giving out some of our partners tokens as well
during the whole event so yeah stay tuned and i hope you'll be i hope you'll participate
awesome um and just a final question before i think we can um go to go to the closing closing
thoughts section um which is about um community and um engagement um i think there's some builders out
there and just some people who would be interested in drawing the communities so can you just share a
little bit more about how you guys are um uh implementing uh or what kind of strategies
you guys are implementing rather to uh increase engagement amongst your your ecosystem community
uh i would say the big ones are going to be uh especially like you know we're on solana easiest
is with them is you know solana based projects games our whole goal is so for game companies like
we're doing stuff with bonk where we'll have a bonk arena and then people get their bonk bots uh their
mixed bots which are like bunk based uh they'll get their avatars i'll kind of be mixed bug style but
with bonk all over it so they can go in there we are doing stuff with mad lads right same thing we'll
do a mad lads arena and we want it what we want is and it could even be defy projects or whoever like
they come in have their crews get their kind of status so our goal is what you're going to see is
get your own mixed bots customize them with so if you're if you're a designer we're going to have a
whole ugc come in in the second half of this year where people can design create upload their stuff
and have people buy it um so very much like roblox that's one of the goals with everything
but the big like i said is crews so you have the mad lads crew the bonk crew it could be the
kucoin crew like you know racers come there we made a fun robot for you guys a couple months ago
and imagine that crew go in there and they battle other teams because we're going to go from 1v1
racing to four players in one so now you can have some real battles uh at the end of this month where
you know crew two on two crews can go against each other uh and then you'll get more of the earnings
from that so that's really big so you got something big for projects that can easily integrate and have
some fun and earn and be actually part of the mix of universe whether they're a crew or if they level
up hey the crews do well it's like hey you guys earned an arena mix up as a team we'll build an
arena for you guys so you guys can earn from there and then uh builders who are ugc people come in
create stickers uh products skins that are like when our avatars come at the end of the year they're
going to be awesome because it's going to take our mix mob masks and remix them to your full avatar a
whole new look and then you'll be able to add stickers and ugc so you could earn from that and
that's where you'll have to use mxm right to earn from and it increases the velocity because the goal
is a we want to mix mob this is just the first game the second game and third game are going to be
different styles but use the same assets and move over but the whole goal is have builders come in
and create a real economy similar to roblox and things and people are really earning different
ways um feel free uh revenue to jump in and add more around the builders and ecosystem
uh yeah actually in terms of community i actually want to touch base much more on
how we do our esports league and how we are managing the community uh in terms of the esports
initiative so our goal in uh for creating msm league is to make the biggest decentralized league
in web3 and the way we do it is very similar to how traditional esports uh does it in that we do a
bottom-up approach between various different regions so what we mean by this is that each region has
their own we are forming each region their own regional dials uh consisted by the guilds and the
guilds themselves will be managing so to give an example uh in indonesia there is a few big guilds
out there there is vgg there's calf there's aeg so how do you work is that they'll collaborate
and with each other and set a few tournaments for just that region itself so for example uh indonesia
has come to us to say that hey uh you know after june itself they want like to do a weekly online
tournament followed by an offline finals and uh are we able to do that and we were like hey yeah you
guys can do that it'll be time friendly to that uh to that region and people can come and play
whenever uh they want to do it and this way we give them like a budget to do it and we let them
host their own tournaments we let them manage it themselves and uh in terms of like shellcasters
as well for our for our tournaments they provide so people can listen and we feel that this is a way
better approach than uh current web tree uh tournaments because like let's let's say you
have esports tournament in the current web tree world a lot of different tournaments will have
some communities excluded because of time zone differences like for example um for other for other
esports tournaments let's say if they host it in a u.s friendly time that means that you're you're
missing out on all the asia players that could be really very good they could be all like top five
of the label top 10 of uh top 10 in the game itself but because you're posted in friendly time
uh time zone they are not able to participate or similar to europe similar to latin america similar to
other parts of the world and this is why we think that regional dials and growing bottoms up from
the way to build things and all this will all come up to like a grand finals at the end of next year
uh where we will bring like all the best of all the of all the regions to come down to compete
and we feel like this is a way that we can slowly pan out mx and lead for like the year to come
so yeah awesome so just uh any closing thoughts uh or perhaps you can also share a little bit about
the roadmap and what you guys are working on um in the rest of the year as well before we wrap
before we wrap up the spaces yeah so right now obviously mobile launch the mix you know between now
and september is really you know user growth get these players in yeah i mean revenant has gone right
into like where our focus is especially in asia getting people playing on the development side
like i said uh right now you got two player it's going to expand to four player then we've got we're
working on doing a special event during token 2049 and solana breakpoint with solana where we'll host
something really big hopefully we can be have a big massive esports style tournament uh follow that
up with do some stuff with ygg towards the end of the year on so that's on kind of like
the game competitive side we also have like the on tech side go to four players so that'll increase
a lot of fun uh i mentioned we've got ugc coming so user generated content for those so that will
allow people to actually create things in mix mob and sell it so you can you know spruce up your
mix bots or your avatars or different type of things that's going to be really neat um we've got
new maps coming i mean new arenas probably coming by the end of the year and oh actually one i can't
believe i forgot this start uh stormtroopers star wars so we have the star wars license star wars
stormtrooper license so um you probably if you've been following us you've seen it so you're going to
get stormtroopers not just as our mix bots but special mix mob style masks that you can wear so you can
have a stormtrooper crew and right now our current season is called lfg city so it's got a certain
art style to it uh new mix bots characters that you can do and you'll earn more money but then the
next season will be the stormtrooper season so it'll be very space themed things like that so
that's just the first license we're gonna we've obtained we plan on getting a lot more over the next
couple years so you're just gonna have new it's gonna be like fortnight you're gonna but racing and
things like that you're just gonna have new licenses pop in so the stormtroopers will come
out by the end of the year as well the stormtrooper season with all the different assets that come
along there and on the gameplay so i touched on that user generated content uh is on that map um
revenant you want to add anything else for this year
yeah i guess like you pretty much cover all of it and there's so many things that we want to build and
there's so many things we want to push out like i would say that for the people i i noticed there
are a few mixed mob players already listening into this so i just want to say that if uh you're
still actively playing in esports tournament the next alpha i can give is that hey it's probably
time to start looking to form guilds and stay tuned to that because as what pebble said we are
gonna do a land at the end of uh at solana breakpoint which is september and we're also
looking to do another one uh during ygg summit in november so stay tuned and yeah
awesome all right guys thank you so much for joining um as always this is not financial advice
um and really appreciate both of you guys taking the time to um go over everything you guys are
working on at mixed mob with the kucoin community so yeah best of luck and i hope to um have you guys
back on in the near future uh thanks a lot really efficient spaces it was awesome it flowed really
well um and it was fun thanks for thanks for hosting that was uh uh enjoyed it and thanks to all the
kucoin holders have been on there and you're gonna get a lot of cool stuff happening uh this year and
hopefully we're doing more cross collaborations uh with the kucoin team
yeah thanks for having us awesome okay all right guys bye
