Thank you. in their own lives but as part of this new movement as well and we just mean you know I
look for to use any tools that I can think that can help and crypto happens to be one of the tools
that I think can help so I'm not coming at this as a crypto maximalist
but trying to figure out what are all of the different tools
that can add value to the work that we do
and through the use of DAOs and governance and impact rewards
I think we can talk about in the future
getting like people could donate one percent of their passive
income from staking into one of these groups and help with governance and decision making and we
could elect a future board and uh yeah there's a lot to talk about but uh i'm definitely up for um
a variety of thought um and again getting feedback from everyone to what you think. Like this future
project that we have talked about two or three times, happy to take a lead on that. But it
doesn't even have a name. So like, what are we going to call it? Is anyone else interested or
is it just me? I'm curious to test the floor to see what other people think. If this is something
you'd be willing to contribute maybe three or four hours a week for the next couple of weeks just to see where it goes.
It might be, I think it'd be an awesome community experiment.
Don't want to duplicate everything that's happening in Karma Gap either.
But I think if we were to just experiment in this,
it would at least fill in gaps where we can address pain points that we,
that may not be served yet by other stakeholders
in the ecosystem.
Hells, yeah, man.
I'm here for it.
Sorry, I'm just testing something.
I'll be right back.
Yeah, if I can uh add on to that i you know there's so many uh awesome uh dmrv uh projects
and i i don't know if dmrv is maybe the right word for for the for the people map um but you
know there's there's a lot of um attempts there's a lot of projects, platforms that are working very hard on this impact certificate, attestation, data collection.
And yeah, it is kind of like a Cambrian explosion.
How does it all work together is a big question.
I think we just have to find out by learning and getting hands-on.
I think integration is always a good direction.
And so, you know, Karma has been really, you know, Mahesh, the CEO, is really good at finding ways to integrate other projects.
So there is a Bloom Network integration, the Gitcoin integration.
Sometimes it makes duplicates.
But yeah, I think refi regions integrate, don't segregate is always the motto.
Integrate, don't segregate. I love that. This is the way. This is the region way. I love it. I love
it. Friends, if you are tuning in on the video broadcast, feel free to join in the conversation through the link at the top of the stream.
This is Let's Grow Live. We're live 24-7 to shine light on all the incredible innovators in the public goods ecosystem
as $1.3 million plus is about to be allocated according to the Grow Nations that happen until the 16th of april so let's grow so when we vibe coding my
guy wait hold on when is your time that you're normally hosting sean uh i need to double check
but yeah i think it's 8 p.m my time got it uh 7 7 30 p.m now cool well we can at least vibe code
then and then maybe we just ask someone like,
like before and after like,
are you happy to do a vibe coding session on the weekend?
And then boom,
we all start vibe coding.
Vibe groading.
That is our new grow cab word.
Congrats to Sean for coming up with the grow cab word.
I'm stoked to vibe grod.
Groadingab word. I'm stoked to vibe grod. Groding.
Fantastic.
Good, good, good, good, good.
What are some other things y'all want to build?
Mr. McGee, if you could build anything, what would you build?
Like just anything?
Technically speaking. like just anything anything technically speaking well uh mega towers on sea mounds with artificial reefs that extend in miles that's that's what i would build if i could build anything
um but let's start with a little thing a little bit more realistic. Card game. That's the thing next on the horizon.
Okay, code. Okay, let me
rephrase. If you could grod,
which is our grocab
word for code,
grod anything
development-wise.
want strategy games built around
the NFTs that
are holding the impact liquidity like i already
have general ideas for the card games and like their interactions for characters and games
uh obviously i can imagine a lot of stuff actually bringing it to life in like some type of video
game that's like coded um not nearly as easy as being like I can imagine this game.
But yeah, more interactive card game
like trading card game built out of the
NFTs would be something I'd be looking
at in the short order.
Yeah. Hell yeah.
I love it. Mr. Alucius is
getting all inspired.
Also today I started the Dargan Dynasty Doubloons Garden.
So you guys can go in there and we're going to have token weighted voting for which assets to build liquidity pairs with.
Permanently locked liquidity pairs. So if you want to help support impact assets of various kinds,
you know, get some Durgan Dynasty doubloons
and throw your weight around.
Durgan Dynasty doubloons.
The triple D is the way.
Also, I got a...
It's not on any type of token-weighted thing,, I got a... It's not on any type of token-weighted
thing, but I got a...
One of the
survey here on X. We're going to do
a $100 liquidity pool. If you guys want to vote,
I'd appreciate it. I'll pin it to the
top. It's between
which is trees planted by
AUweka, Uganda,
in 2024. PR24, which is trees planted by Aueka Uganda in 2024.
PR24, which is students helped with supplies and school fees by Poly Raiders in 2024.
And JCGWR, that's Jimmy Cohen's Guinness World Record.
So which one of those should we put $100 into supporting?
Which one of those should we put $100 into supporting?
What do you think?
Well, I obviously have some bias,
so I will not participate in the vote.
No, you definitely should participate
and tell all your homies to participate.
That's what makes the games work.
Okay, all right, if you say so.
You're supposed to be biased.
Remind you all that you're stupid and you should buy more Bitcoin.
Okay, alright. Well, yeah, you put it up in the jumbo. Let me see.
Alright. Boom.
And I'll see if I figure out how to use the garden.
We'll be doing token-weighted voting there.
And meme battle money that we win.
Still should be a significant amount of polygon.
We'll be using the gardens and token-weighted voting.
So you'll have reasons to have them other than it's fun.
And number go up.
Awesome, man.
Number growing up.
Let's grow.
So number go up. It's such a basic thing, isn't it?
We're just like, hey, number go up.
But yeah, good stuff,
We love it.
We love it.
so Blockchain Club,
welcome to the stage.
I see Katie's here as well.
I just followed you from the Let's Grow DAO account.
Let's all,
let's get the comments
to a hundo.
Drop something
in the comments,
your favorite GIF.
Type hashtag
Let's Grow
followed by
whatever it is
that you want to grow
actually forget the hashtag just let's grow we're free or move past that now
blockchain scoot club followed you back I don't buddy how you doing
yo yo I cannot hear you though. You cut out.
Hello, please confirm you can hear me.
Confirming. Affirmative.
Confirmation.
Okay, okay. Cool. GM people GM everyone grow morning
oh interesting so we have a new one now this is a classic this is fun awesome
how is everything
how has it been
I guess you're just waking
your time zone
I said I guess
it's waking hour
for you in your time zone
if you're if you're a normal human yes
if you're jimmy i'm in the 5 a.m club except i'm up till five
pass by time for a morning routine right before i sleep
oh i see yeah it's really late in the night here yeah yeah yeah yeah are you in nigeria where are you located yes yes i'm in nigeria all right
hey nigeria has some of the highest crypto adoption in the world do you know that no lies
in the world.
Do you know that?
Facts don't lie.
Ditas don't lie, yeah.
Ditas don't.
But it's also kind of like
not fully legal?
Yeah, I mean...
Yeah, kind of.
But wait, weren't they...
Didn't they have the Binance legal guy
like under... like arrested in hostage situation?
What do you mean?
Yeah, you didn't see this?
There was a legal representative from Binance who was hostage?
Yeah, Nigeria is crazy.
They like totally like held this Binance this, uh, Binance executive hostage.
When you say they government,
Nigerian government because he used to, I think work for the, uh,
for the, I like the, the, um,
I don't know if he worked for the sec or the IRS or somebody.
He was definitely like a political.
I lost you for some time, guys.
A representative?
Yeah, you tell it.
Well, there was a Binance executive who was arrested and held by the Nigerian government for a long time.
by the Nigerian government for a long time.
But he also worked, before he worked for Binance,
he was in the US government,
so it was really fishy.
Why were they holding this one guy?
And they would always show a photo of him,
and he'd be like, let me out!
I don't know why. he yeah i don't know
but nigeria is that are you in lagos or where you at
yeah yeah i still need goes but right now i'm out of states yeah okay but are you are you yoruba people yes i am i mean i'm actually surprised to hear you say
that so you say bawoni ah that daddy
i mean how
how on earth do you
understand yoruba language i mean
i had a i had a teacher
okbenikole in
college and he uh he had
three wives and he was always
complaining that the wives were
always complaining that they the wives were always complaining that they
did not have enough money i see i see i see so yeah so you've learned basic things in a language
yeah no languages are fun i think uh we were actually losing language diversity that's another thing we're losing biodiversity and we're also losing language diversity so we need to uh we need to protect
our our cultural heritage i agree i agree but yeah good to know that i mean so yeah my brother
America's pulse
In the half light of dawn we pack the car with dreams and thermoses.
The map unfolds like a promise across our laps.
This is how we begin, always beginning a journey to the beating heart.
We drive through fields where farmers coax life from soil,
their hands remembering ancient wisdom.
Take only what you need give back more
than you borrow regenerative cycles spinning like the wheels beneath us 24 7 doubling and redoubled
in commitment the rocky mountains rise like questions on the horizon jagged poetry against a blue canvas older than our oldest stories we
climb switchbacks oxygen thinning thoughts clarifying what does it mean to belong in a
place so vast morning find us at the roadside diner where breakfast is served on chipped plates by a woman who calls us honey and means it. The
coffee refills come without asking. The conversation flows between booths like syrup. We cross the
bridge of the gods with reverence suspended between states of being, neither here nor there, the river below carved its determined path just as we carve ours.
The mist rises like spirits of those who crossed before us.
This is America's soul, not in monuments or proclamations, but in soil and stone,
in bridges built and crossed crossed in the simple communion of
strangers sharing toast in the endless road that beckons forth deeper again
now i know what this is
this Let's grow live. I love you all. Have fun. Talk soon. We're in Missoula, Montana. We
traveled all day from Portland to Missoula, Montana. It took us a long time but we had a brilliant ride a lot of side trips and
frequent meetings with amazing humans and uh i love y'all talk soon love you too john thanks
for coming through we appreciate you thanks that was so poetic yeah man john just comes in yeah
yeah man John just comes in drop yeah yeah I mean I had him dropping lines
yeah that's a good one it's a good one it's a banger absolutely
yeah I can I can sleep deprive myself but eventually it catches up with you
it's like debt right you sleep debt whoo okay i you know at some point jimmy's gonna get a full
full night's rest but um blockchain club is is this club only at one university specifically and if so do you see
it propagating to all the other clubs all the other universities right because like
blockchain clubs can can really spread if done right right yeah yeah yeah absolutely so i i
think i mentioned these two days ago when i was on this space, but yeah, in case you missed it,
so Blockchain Club Laotech happened to be the first university blockchain club in Nigeria.
Like I said, we started in the year 2020 and quite interestingly, what we did then,
we started it more or less like, you know um uncertain and unsure of what the future
holds we just wanted to do something like i said we figured out the problem there was a knowledge
gap and we wanted to onboard as many students as we can onboard and so when we tried it was just
like you know trial and error thing for us and when we did it myself and my co-founder Thelma so when we when we actually
created the club interestingly um because at the time we had friends in other institutions
other universities because as at the time the club was created I was an undergraduate as I then
so our colleagues in other institutions actually happened to like the vision and they kid into it
and so i mean looking back now and you know counting the numbers i think we have
over 15 blockchain clubs in nigeria currently in different universities so the ripple effect
of what we started then you know is what we are seeing today and it's very interesting to see that you
know it is possible to do great things from a small place like we would always say so we started
from a very small place in you know oil state and i mean the ripple effect has gone over a lot of
universities in nigeria so and we keep growing we keep growing basically yeah so that does that how many universities I said about 15
universities my guy yep that's pretty good that's pretty good yeah I like it yeah very cool man
love it love love love it and so do you see that expanding even more?
Like how have you been able to expand so far?
Is there like a specific activity
where they're trying to target different universities
to expand it or is it more just organic?
Oh, you talking?
Can't hear anything.
I'm also talking a bit far from the microphone.
Can you guys hear me from back here?
Check yourself before you... Okay.
We lost a man down.
Hello, hello.
Oh, there you are.
Okay, yeah. I think I'm back up.
Yeah, yeah.
I was asking about how you've been able to expand to 15.
Has it been a very targeted thing where you're like going university university or is it
like an organic spread for it to grow like that and how do you think we can go from 15 to 50 to
100 and beyond honestly it's been very organic we've not left our campus to go to other institutions to you know market the blockchain
club right so it's been organic like i said how we started when we when we built our own club when
we started our own club and we started organizing workshops organizing you know events students
when we started it was more of just crypto just crypto
this and i into the space
clubs in their own institutions as well because they loved what we're doing so we had the likes
of blockchain oeu blockchain unn yeah i mean it was just those as at the time that we knew
ourselves but organically we just started saying hey we have blockchain club here in so and so
universities we have here and so-and-so
universities so even the numbers i give you i said 15 earlier so most likely we have much more than
that because exactly affiliated with us we don't know they exist but i'm pretty certain that we
would have blockchain clubs in other institutions that are not accounted for yet.
But like I said, it's all over Nigeria.
I mean, people know that we have blockchain clubs in universities.
So it's quite easier for, you know, already established projects, blockchain projects, Web3 projects to be like,
web3 projects to be like hey we want to do a university campaign at social and so university
and their first go-to audience would be the blockchain club on that campus because the club
would be the one to help them with their publicity their marketing onboarding bringing students to
their events etc right so that's the way it's been basically.
And like I said, looking back, the numbers keep increasing and I'm pretty sure there are
other institutions that are still unaccounted for, even as I speak with you.
I have a question. For the students who are participating in the clubs. Are they looking to join startups? Are they looking to make their own startup or are they looking to join more like existing companies? Like what motivates the students to join the clubs or to participate?
the students to join the clubs or to participate?
Okay, that's a good question.
So I think the way I'd like to see this is,
first off, I mean, the way things work here in Nigeria,
or the average young person, because of our economy, basically,
or the the the average young person because of our economy basically the the average young person is
probably most likely into you know cyber crimes and you know stuff like that and so
it's been like a stigma um i mean on on youth? So because people are saying that, okay, there are much more legit ways to earn a living,
there are much more legit ways to do things.
So I think first of this is one motivation for students.
So the average student wants to live outside of dependence.
Like they would want to live outside of depending
on their own parents for
you know finances for resources and things like that and so the average young guy in
nigeria and our club is not necessarily targeted at guys but i'm just using this as a study
so the average young guy wants to earn a living even as a student because like i said the economy
is not all that friendly here you just
have to you know also your way out to earn a living that's just the way it is nigeria and
so the university blockchain club kind of gives that platform where we bring people into tech we
bring people into you know the web3 ecosystem we bring people into a space where they can actually be financially independent okay so
a lot of people when they see opportunities like oh there is free crypto education yeah they want
to join because they want to have the knowledge they want to do legit stuff right and they want
to earn a living for themselves so right so that that is one thing that motivates a lot of people to actually
clubs right that's what motivates a lot of people to actually join these are clubs they want to
actually be self-independent first and eventually so i mean in the long run because you you you
agree with me that the industry rewards active participation
so the more committed they are to the industry the more they spend time with the industry learn
and grow they continue to get much more exposed and they begin to fall much more in love with
the technology rather than coming in for the money and rushing out again. I hope that makes sense to you.
So in the long run, because one of the things that we stand for as a club
is it connects our community members with opportunities.
So say, for example, I have a year of training in xyz web3 company and i actually happen to know probably if um you know
someone in the team it's easy to link up community member allow them apply or you know just rec a lot
of times even our recommendations as you know leads of blocking clubs help in you know scaling our members of our
members to actually get jobs so we've been able to onboard a lot of people and we've been able
to connect a few persons to you know different startups already established with three companies
some as ambassadors some as team members so you know we've been able
to do these things and in the long run we we actually you know started prioritizing developers
as well so we started something with developers to people who have knowledge about web 2 who can
build websites who are knowledgeable about Web2.
We try to scale them into the Web3 industry.
We try to teach them blockchain development.
And it's a big one because a lot of people, you know, who are Web2 developers already,
whenever they hear that there's an opportunity for them to scale into Web3,
they are very keen
to key into that and you know they come on board we train them how to build we train them blockchain
development and so we we've sort of built different arms in our community so we we have
those that are coming for the crypto part those those that, you know, want to go into blockchain development.
We have those that want to start their, you know, development journey.
Probably they come in as total newbies
and then we onboard them into Web2, you know, building.
And then eventually we scale them into Web3 or blockchain development.
And so we have our designers as well our product designers
we have the arm too we also have our female category too of course so i mean just last
december we had a court for you know women in tech ladies in tech people who want ladies who
want to come into the industry so we had like a session for them as well
we onboarded good numbers of ladies just ladies and so like that we we have different arms different
divisions even within the blockchain club lautech right and yeah i think that's pretty much it so
our developers as well they've built some have built their own products some have started
their own startups because of the knowledge that they've gotten from the community
and everyone keeps building everyone keeps growing i think that pretty much sums it up yeah
How you doing?
I think Jimmy went and figured it out.
No, I'm here.
You can hear me, right?
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Baby didn't sleep.
Oh, okay, sorry. I can't interview for 24 hours, guys.
Give me a second here.
That was an amazing question by Regent Avocado.
Trying to multitask, all right?
Give me a second.
Give me a second.
Yeah, bro, please check Telegram.
I checked Telegram?
All right.
Let me check brb
just a shout out to let's grow live for being uh an island of
sanity in a very insane social media platform. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I learned my accolades as well. I mean,
you guys are doing pretty amazing work.
Oh, sorry, I wasn't muted there. Thank you, fam. So yes, to
your question, Anastasia, we do. But keep in mind that the role
of stewards right now is literally just to go in and to co-host people at the top of the hour.
Oh, wait, what?
Baby didn't sleep.
Are you talking about your kid?
Are you talking about me, the baby, or your kid's the baby?
Who's the baby that needs sleep?
We can just talk.
We don't need to eat this yet.
I can imagine baby Jimmy needing a knight tucked in the bed.
That's some stories for baby Jimmy.
All right.
So just so we're clear, stewarding is going in and just rotating grow hosts,
which should have actually been blockchain.
So I'm being a bad grow host right now.
Let me just rotate out tree gens.
Let me give it to you in your last one minute. I'm going to bad grow host right now. Let me just rotate out tree gens. Let me give it to you.
In your last one minute, I'm going to make you grow.
I mean, you can stay as long as you want, but there you grow.
You can also make me if I ever need the space.
It's fine.
Yeah, up to you, broski.
Whatever you want to drop, just tap the three dots in the top right switch the listener
Happy days if we quit out the space that we can't send grow hosts anymore
Sometimes did you get the gross in my blockchain club though? We are actually at the top
Is the formality okay great
Maybe maybe you need maybe I need to sleep that's very nice of you anesthesia for 45 minutes. How generous you
We do I'd love it. I'll take it
Cuz I don't know actually I don't actually know what's happening with
Will T the original plan was he plugs ethernet into his computer
Keeps it alive, but then his computer spazzed out and now i somehow ended up on mobile
after we rode so bro okay um i just want to say i can't make it there so wait you can't
can we just talk i don't understand what you're i don't know why you're sitting there
i'm trying to tell you that i can't make it to my laptop because my baby didn't sleep oh yes okay okay great
okay so you cannot make it to the laptop so you so you're not able to do it it's fine no problem
i got you no problem hakuna matata sorry i was very confused by your message i'm like am i the
baby who's okay your baby didn't sleep that makes makes sense. You can't access your laptop.
Hakuna Matata.
When was your stewarding role?
Is it like now?
Will T's here.
Okay, cool.
No worries.
All right, Will T.
Welcome, my guy.
How was your rest?
Not long enough.
I know that, Phelan. Oh, I know that feeling.
What happened to the 36 hours task?
Well, we only had one grow host, and the next thing you know, we had no grow host, and it just wasn't sending.
So how long ago did that?
So was it intentional?
No, it just rugged.
It rugged.
How long ago was that?
A few hours.
Three hours ago?
Something like that.
Probably like two hours after I got home.
Something like that.
Yeah, two hours ago, actually. How many accounts do you have now, bro?
Have you mean like in or manage out okay, how many do you manage?
I'm afraid to check like in my rug. Oh
Yeah, don't do that. But I mean outside of let's grow down. You got Jimmy one
Seven you got three gen you got public downs. What are the other three seven?
Is that blockchain Lautech nice I have three AI
Agents oh my god dude bro that's that these are
just tests we are we're planning to launch 500 like every nft is a fun to
grow the Regennaissance well I'm not doing it we partnered so I'm just saying
have fun managing all that activity in your world I'm not
managing I'm not managing any of them oh god the NFT holders will have oh can I
talk to can I talk to AI XP tree right now no but before the end of GG 23 yeah
our shell has promised me we will fix the bug he's you're gonna meet him
he's the founder of XAID there yeah it's pretty cool their platform you can
literally just type in any influencers Twitter handle and it'll scan all of
their tweets and it can start posting like them and then you can just add any
information that you want upload with a prompt and then it'll launch it for you and then bamboo scalable AI just is this
Sean's vibe groaning spot oh well he just came up so it could be right on
could be okay um yeah you want to know what my status is?
I'm awake now.
I can go log in to the core account on my desktop.
No, I can't.
We should handshake that because I'm still on mobile.
Oh, you are?
And I'm not going to have access to mobile later.
Big enough cloud comes
Way done. Well, we have to grow so it's pretty good, but but that does that's not guaranteed
Okay, I just woke up I'm eating cuz I'm hungry. Yeah
I'm probably gonna take another two hour nap before I go to work tonight But I'll figure that out
Give me to the end of Sean's shift
And I'll be in the LGD account on my PC
Is that fair?
Whose shift? Sean's
Yeah, that's fair
I'll be in the LGD account
And then you can bounce when tree gen slot is over with.
And that gives us enough time to get a good handshake.
Is that fair?
Yes, that is more than fair.
All right.
John, what's going on?
What's up, Sean?
Should I grow tape one of these grow hosts?
Who wants to no longer be grow hosts?
You should. Grow tape blockchain club Lautech.
Good to see they're showing up consistently.
Okay, we love you. You can come back up as speaker if you want.
You can come up if you want.
Because Sean is about ready to give us a master class
in what we call around these parts vibe groaning
is that what's happening yeah we can do a bit of vibe groaning if you guys are up for it
fundamentals i'm up for it man let's start building knowledge bases at the beginning with
the fundamental building blocks of knowledge. Blocks of knowledge.
So what are we using?
Grocky McGrock?
Hey, what do you guys think of the latest Google AI?
Apparently it's not garbage anymore.
No, it's called something weird.
What's his name posted Posted about it.
Is that the one John's using?
John Ruth?
Oh, Claude, you mean?
Yeah, Cloud.
It's Claude.
Mud and other parts of the world
pronounce Cloud. You're the only person
I've ever heard say that you say potato I say butterfly all right sorry John as
you were good sir do you have your grow host invite in the bottom left there?
Just got it. Thank you.
Nice, nice.
Okay, wait, we are live on video.
So if you go right now, Sean, to link.let'sgrow.
You know what you could do to help Sean out slash video?
You know, he has his own YouTube.
You could add him as a channel partner and that way it'll pump it out to his
YouTube too.
Oh, we probably want that, huh?
Yeah, we can, we can give it a quick call.
Well, to do that, you have to log into our account since you're a
trustworthy partner I will send you our login details for stream labs then you're
gonna click start you can click go live in the bottom right and it won't
actually go live and you've hit add destination and then if you're already signed to YouTube you just click YouTube
and then boom done but you have to oh yeah you've already enabled streaming on
your YouTube because you've done that before so Gucci sounds good sure if you
can walk me through the steps I got you you. You got me. We got each other's back.
Let's fucking grow.
Okay, sorry.
All right.
I love this.
I love this synergy.
What's your TG, my guy?
It's Sean Littermap.
Sean Littermap.
I don't know if I've ever asked you this question.
Is it traditional S- a or s e a
it's s e a but i see there's a little uh a little hello how you going on top of the a
that's a father yeah that's that that gives it an all sound in in the irish language
so it's yeah it's it's like John Osweilga in Irish.
So, yeah, when I was at school,
well, I obviously got my name before that,
but, yeah, we've Irish-speaking schools as well,
so that's where I went.
