Yeah. Good morning and welcome to the lucky lead today is Wednesday March 15th. We've got a
on show today is going to be our yoga show. We haven't really been hitting this ecosystem over the past few days. We've been focused on macro and crypto. It's time to get back to NFTs and you guys has a ton going on. I can't wait to dive right in. Before we do that, I do see a few new faces out there as a reminder
any new listeners. We run this show every weekday Monday to Friday at 10 a.m. Eastern. It's a 30 minute show covering all the major news in crypto, web three, and NFTs. The show is meant for those interested in discovering the space, those actively buying and selling in the crypto and NFT markets in those here just doing research.
I'm your host Tyler D. I'm joining my amazing co-host ghost content star over at Lucky Trader deep in the So Rare Streets quietly a whale NFT trader former board a polar interested for his takes today We've got Emily loves crypto a web 3 security expert and co-founder of the foolproof app and today
Today we've also got CT with us. She's got deep experience consulting and advising across NFTs and Web 3, our resident Bitcoin NFT whisperer, very plugged into the UGA ecosystem as well. CT, good morning. How are you doing? Good morning. I'm doing great. I have a 20,000 ranks who are
past that I'm ready to see what happens with today. Hopefully it'll be like reverse and the lowest rank ones get the best power sources. So that's what I'm betting on. Well, we're definitely going to get into that and exactly what that means in our predictions. I'm excited on the docket for today. It's you go Wednesday. So we're going to start
with a kind of a look at everything Yuga has going on. They're going to dive into 12fold and a mistake with the art. And then we're going to do a preview of the summoning along with all the top news before we dive in. Ghost, if you want to take us through our listener question of the day. Yeah, we're talking
about the summoning today. We want to hear your predictions for the floor price of sewer passes post summoning. I'm going to get a poll up there with love to hear the responses. As always, Tyler does a great recap every morning and it is morning minute newsletter. I'm going to pin that to the top as well. Please give that a subscribe if you haven't already.
our top story. It's you guys busy month and do they maybe have too much going on. I'm going to set the stage here for a few minutes. So we're winding back to fall of 22. You could go founders Garga and Gordon goner said they mostly completed hiring and they were about to pick up the pace in execution. They have
certainly done that. We saw the trial of Jimmy the monkey kickoff on Christmas Day with Duky dashed that game launching in late January. You know, through this time period, the primary bear case for board apes and Yuga was execution risk and their ability to execute on their roadmap.
Well, the results are in so far they've knocked it out of the park. Duky Dash pretty much a resounding success. They prove they could deliver a fun game and a gamified mid experience with the stakes as high as ever. But now fast forward to March, there are several different projects and balls in the air that seems the stakes are
even higher. So right now we've got the summoning happening today. We had 12 fold that auction a week ago in the distribution yesterday. We had the other side second trip coming up in just a couple weeks and then a major ape coin unlock and the planning of any sinks tied to that coming tomorrow with
40 million ape hitting the market. So there's a lot going on and I've got a question. Did we see a sign with 12 fold that maybe some of these balls in the air might be dropping? So this was one of the major sections of my news that this morning is called the 12 fold mistake, you know, at the beginning
getting the auction seemed like an overwhelming success. You guys first, venture into the Journal of Art on Bitcoin, sold 288, 12-fold Antis, auctioned with a minimum price of 2.25 Bitcoin, it was over $50,000. Then we started getting the previews of the outputs here over the last few days.
I think there were two primary points of feedback. So far, one, the art lacked variety and was generally underwhelming, and two, there was a mistake duplicate in the set. I think point one was very easy to address and highlights a lack of reading by the general NFT crowd. From their initial blog, they described 12 fold as a base 12 art system,
localized around a 12 by 12 grid, a visual allegory for the cartography of data on the Bitcoin blockchain, the collection includes highly rendered 3D elements. And that's exactly what was delivered in this base 12 art system essentially meant that there would be series of 12 in these outputs. So I think that thought is squashed. I think the point to
above is harder to thin though. There was a duplicate found in the set with inscriptions 444-385 and 446-221 having the same image. Gargour confirmed as much, stating that there was a dupe and it was accidentally inscribed and it will be burned. That feels like a high stakes accident.
to me, I'm going to get off my overview soapbox here and open this up to our speakers. My first question is, is how serious was this mistake? Is it a one-off thing or is it potentially lead to some concern about everything else that you guys have going on? CTM will start with you.
I'm going to prep this by saying that I own a couple of u-assets. It's nothing like two major, but I definitely do. So I think I'm a little bit biased towards them, but I will say that I'm actually with a microscope that was on them. I'm actually kind of surprised that it didn't make more mistakes in terms of this whole or
It's still a little bit dicey out there with the tools and everything like that. So yeah, I mean there was a duplicate that's really not great, especially when it comes to generative art. And I think right now like art
Our bar when it comes to genitive art, in terms of high caliber, is art blocks, right? And their minting system is pretty great. They have a Dutch auction kind of down pat. It's sort of like we're used to seeing a huge variety of outputs from them.
So yeah, I mean seeing this was a little bit different, but I guess I wouldn't have spent that many Bitcoin on the one-preciu image I saw, so I'm glad I didn't. But I honestly think it's kind of cool that a company like that big can like experiment.
clearly a fangirl take her her feedback with with two cents but ghost she's shaking it off ghost I want to get your thoughts as a former board a polar you know what were your reactions to 12fold and how this is all played out
Yeah, I mean, well first of all, I don't think that the duplicate was as big of an issue as good. I mean, I think that Yuga has earned the leeway to have a mistake here and there and I know that it's these costs a lot of money, but I still saw people talking about that and like
comparing the drop to other prices of notable art pieces and I just find it so absurd considering it was an auction. So people were paying what they thought it was worth and I mostly felt bad for the artist in this situation who was kind of put in a pretty impossible situation from like an optics perspective because with all the hype that you could come
like we saw the first few days of the release. And I kind of felt like the lack of like variety of outputs kind of make more sense once we saw that it was like the 25 different subset themes of 12 outputs each, which I don't think was super clear from the beginning. Yeah, I agree there. I definitely kind of glossed over the
series of 12 point but it makes sense when looking at the set but I think I've got the opposite opinion of you in reactions to the set overall. I actually like the art. I think that's my hot take is I like it quite a bit. The detail on these pieces
are pretty incredible. I love how the shadows work and they're based on 3D renderings or physicals. I think these would make insane physicals. I can see them being an amazing display in a modern art museum someday. I'm actually a little bit more bullish. I think part of the market
sentiment is they came out the gate so high, right? All the most successful art blocks, June of art projects, minted at a low price like 0.1 to 0.2 ETH, and then gradually took off over time. This was the opposite. It started out at $50,000 minimum. And now the question is where do they go from?
from here and expectations were sky high because of that. I am curious for this group's thoughts on market action. You've got your hand up thoughts? I hear you saying you could get squiggles really cheap or almost free or something like that.
they went up and you know that's kind of the magic of that but when you have someone like Yuga who has executed kind of in most like I feel like they executed in a lot of great ways since the very beginning and there are a lot of people kind a lot of people not everybody of course look to them is sort of like how can we do what Yuga is doing right
That was sort of like a time and a place and it's really gonna be hard for you to be like, "Oh hey, here's a mint that 0.05 and now it's magically worth 30 East." That's gonna be tough. So that's why people want to pay what they wanted to pay in the auction.
Yeah, so yeah, I mean that speaks to the value of their brand that basically site unseen with one Preview of of the art folks were ready to line up and pay 2.25 Bitcoin So that was more of a bet on you got in the art itself I am curious to see how current holders are viewed
doing their art so far the floor is holding up. Okay, so we've got some early secondary action. The floor is 55-Eat currently. I'm trying to do the conversion math here on what that is. I just tweeted it out this morning.
Yeah, so that's 3.77 Bitcoin 4. So that's up almost 50% from where it sold but the top bit is 20. So the currently the highest thing you can sell for is about 1.37 Bitcoin. So we'll see how that bid aspect continues to trend. Ghost, you had your hand up and then I'm going to go to Emily.
Yeah, in terms of the price action I'm not surprised to see it going up and I have to go continue to climb and I think that with supply of 300 on Bitcoin where we know that there's a lot of new whales potentially doing that and that we also have a ton of both Ugo whales and Eath whales You could find 300 people that are going to be willing to like shell out of line
money for this or want to hold it. So I think we're just going to continue to see the rise and the people that are the loudest on Twitter that are complaining about are not the same people that are putting in bids for this or serious buyers. So usually those loud voices are not the people that are actually buying into these clients. Can I ask, goes quickly, you venture into Geron of Art from time to time.
Are you a buyer at this level and is there a price where you would become a buyer? - This is a little bit out of my price range. I don't know if I would be dropping it on that. So I am not a buyer personally because it's just out of my level, but I don't think it's a terrible investment. - Got it. Emily, thoughts on this and then we'll probably move on.
Yeah, I think like on a higher level view, it's really interesting that Yuga has started a division of their company specifically dedicated to art. I don't think this is the last we're going to see from them. And I think that indicates the very high collectibility of
these pieces, I definitely would not underestimate the collectibility here. And I think that they made a very distinct choice by using their own internal artist. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if they're going to start cultivating kind of an
and a whole artist division from Yuga. So, you know, like, well, prices are hard to predict. I, you know, they don't, they don't, they're not going to make an entire company for a single ordinal's drop. We know that much. That's not really how they roll. So I think, you know, the, the price will very likely go extreme
high from here. I'm really interested in that take. I actually haven't heard that specifically. I think we've heard that you know this is you guys first drop on Bitcoin it's going to have value and flexibility because of that. I actually haven't heard that full line of thought that they are now building out an art arm or sector of the company. That makes a ton of sense.
Yeah, I mean, if you consider it like one, I think ordinals is a very good natural fit for very collectible high valued art, mostly because the nature of ordinals makes everything on chain in the first place. So it's two and one, right? There isn't a token directory
It's as long as it's on the Ordinals layer you can see what's there and I think that It wouldn't make it wouldn't make much sense at all for them to make an entire company around you know this single 12 full drop I think that they're gonna keep expanding out
Right. I'm with you. CT continues to raise her hand so I got a call on her and then we're gonna move on. Just like 10 seconds. I kind of think that it's more just like of a side project experiment, honestly. I thought the website was minimal. They were trying out like, you know, they're trying out ordinals, they're trying out the protocol, they're trying out big coins.
And they're trying out janitor of art, right? Which may it may not be the end for that like you said, but I don't really know if it goes much farther than this in terms of 12 fold. That's just that's my hat take. So we'll see. Well, see these expectations are lower. I think I'm going with Emily on this one and this is the beginning of a new journey.
Well, I want to keep our conversation going and get it into the summoning before we do that. Let's read the news. Today's top headlines powered by a lucky trader. Trading volume came in at just under 27,000 a.k.a. yesterday with most NFTs down 3 to 5% in a very red and very slow news day.
We talked about you guys 12 fold pieces were officially sent out to auction winners yesterday with that secondary market opening for the first time. Gabriel Layton and the limit break team acquired free NFT, a platform for free NFT distribution, furthering its free to own mission. In new features, open C add a new offer protection
for their marketplace, protecting against flagged items for bids and then blur added a new notification feature tied to accepted bids and sales upon completion. CryptoPunk news 21 crypto pumps were wrapped and then sold into blur bids in a single $2.4 million sale with a punk floor didn't
bank with $580 billion in assets says they're not sure they can provide more financial support. Moody's cut the outlook on the US banking system to negative from stable, citing the rapidly deteriorating operating environment and Fed swaps now show a 100 BPS rate cut by December. I expected that peak so expect some pivoting here to come
in the near future and web three news a CS go skin sold for 160,000 dollars making that top 10 all-time sale for that game. And then AI news chat GPT4 officially launched yesterday now able to pass the bar exam multiple high school AP tests along with some new visual capabilities and a lot.
more. All right, I want to get into the summoning of a ghost. Do we have any pole results to share? Yeah, the people are feeling bullish so far. So we got 60% of the pole feeling that the sewer passes are going to go up post-subbiting and then 20% down and 20% stable. So interesting there. And I had to share this
little tidbit from ChatGPT4 coming out. I shared this in our private chat earlier, but I saw this tweet that said that ChatGPT4 on its own was able to hire a human task rabbit worker to solve a capture for it and convince the human to go along with it. So I think we're all about to be servants to you. The robots are already tricking
the humans. This is not great. Well, let's talk about the summoning. It's finally here today. I think launching at a great time with very little else going on in the NFT market folks are looking for something to buy into in the lead up. We've seen sewer passes. The volume is up 140%. We go
over a week. We've seen the floor on unranked passes up over 100% it was around 1.4 ether when I checked this morning the ranked pass floor up at 2.9 ether. We've seen that companion trait holding a whopping 6.6 ether floor. It seems like folks are ready to gamble. So as a quick preview, here's what we know.
and folks please continue to add. But some of the basics, anyone with a ranked sewer pass will be able to participate in the summoning, the higher the rank of the sewer pass, the better rarity tier of the power source that you will be able to summon. Each power source summon will be unique and it will be needed for the next layer.
of this game experience, the top 2500 scores in that toad mode game unlocked a companion trait for the summoning and then the unranked power sources, my understanding they are going to have the lowest rarity and they're going to be given to the unranked sewer passes.
Those unranked sewer passes will still likely receive something in the summoning. So I think that's the wild card I'm watching. Additionally, you can stay there. There's no use for sewer passes beyond the stage of the game. So there's not going to be much premium. I don't think in holding the passes and you know, in waiting
for a spread to build there. So I'm expecting a decent amount of passes to be burned and be burned quickly. But I want to open this up to some predictions from our group for what we're going to get today with the summoning. What's coming, what type of a game it might be CT. Go for it.
So I know it doesn't affect you right that today you know you're going to get one of eight power source types. And I think those with companions, I'm surprised at how they're being pretty highly valued by the market, you know, which I think is good for sewer passes overall. And you know, I know that the poll.
power source for this mini game or whatever it's called but yeah I didn't even realize until yesterday that the next step was a mini game so yeah I mean I thought that Duky Dash was a good game I'm not a gamer but I'm excited to see what this mini game is going to be and excited for you know some fun new
on the timeline today. Yeah, I mean, it seems like that the theme of the trial of Jimmy the Muck is it's going to be a series of games and it seemed that they're all going to be likely different. I've heard some chatter that this next game might be a strategy based game versus a skill game that we saw with Duky Dash that had a lot of folks really out of
contention right from the beginning. Ghost, curious for your thoughts and what you might be hearing. I mean, I haven't heard pretty much the same thing as CT, but on the mini game front, I think it's super exciting. One, because we saw how great dukey dash was executed and it's such a simple game like Mario Party and things like that. Those are all simple games.
that anyone can play. And I think that's like such a key when you just add that NFT or like gamified element to it, how much it elevates the experience. So I think that there's like tons of different minigames and directions that they can go with this. And it doesn't take that much of a like reinventing the wheel to really create a great product there. So I'm excited for the minigame aspect of it.
I don't want to hold these store passes. I was absolutely terrible at dukey dash, so I figured I could sell them and let someone else use it and then buy it on secondary after. So I'm probably a buyer after the summoning here, or I'm honestly tempted to buy before, but I hate buying into a reveal type event there. So I'm sideline right now, but I
Planning to answer soon. I'm interested like what what would be your buy angle would you be going for ranked passes unranked companions? I Don't know I mean we I thought it was an interesting conversation We had yesterday about how it seems like there might be something for the unranked sewer passes like they said that they get the leftover power source
or whatever that is. So I wonder if every power source is allocated in some way and that unranked ones just get the bottom of the barrel in which case like it feels like those are being undervalued compared to the floor of the ranks or passes there. Yeah, I think that's my primary thesis right now is that that spread is too big. That 1.4 each
for unranked versus 2.9 for ranked. I think that spread is going to close quite a bit when these turn into power sources. Certainly it is a big question mark right now. Maybe the biggest one out there. And I don't know if that means that the ranked are going to go down or they're both just
going to go up, that's a little bit harder to predict. Franellations had an interesting bull case prediction here for the power sources. Four points. The art is insane. It blows mutants out of the water. It's the first non-membership PFP made by Yuga, instant utility via brand via a new P2E Yuga game in Burmell,
passes that don't expire. So that's an interesting bull take. I'm curious are folks leaning bullish or bearish from the market reactions here? Do we think these are going to be higher tomorrow? Or we want to see kind of that standard post reveal dump for the Yugi ecosystem?
goes, maybe I'll tee you up since you're thinking about buying into this. Man, my gut wants to say that it's going to be the typical post-revealed dump that it goes a little bit lower, but you just never know with UGA, and I'm almost scared to be sidelined for a UGA type mint like that. So like the bowl case, like you just mentioned, I feel like there's a lot of room to run#
especially if people have a well-received you could drop, you know, like that's plenty of potential to run there. So I'm a little bit nervous to be on the sidelines, but I'm gonna go with my gut and say that there's a slight post-revealed dump there. - The last piece and then we can move on. I feel like there's going to be a large ape coin.
aspect to this game. If folks aren't aware, again, there's a major token unlock coming tomorrow. 40 million are going to hit the market. That's around $180 million or so at current value. So that's a big unlock. Certainly, we've seen this narrative play out in crypto
and NFTs over the last few years. People get afraid of token unlocks and they end up being bullish and the price goes up post-unlock. I am curious if that is what we will see here. That is a large supply hit in the market. CTM curious, if you have any thoughts on April and the other closing thoughts on the summit,
I don't own any ape, so I kind of out on ape, but I was just gonna say ghosts. I can't believe you're on the sidelines for this. I'm actually shook to my core. I feel like after somebody's time gets announced, you're gonna buy one before it happens.
I just feel that in my soul. Like I said, I'm not going to be sideline for long. I'm planning to get back into the sort pass market or the revealed ones. Just not sure when. Personally, I'm going to try to get in before the event. I think there's too much. This is too big of an event to sit on the sideline.
for my first budget. This is not financial advice, but I want to be a part of the action. And if I'm going to reveal my hand, which I'll go ahead and do, I think I'm going to go for some unranked passes. I like that. I like that gamble. That's D-Gen right there. I love it. All right. Well, I want to get into a couple of topics that we've
skipped over the last few shows before we do that goes to want you quickly take us to the top NFT market headlines. Let's do it here some of the top market headlines from Tuesday powered by Lucky Trader the Porsche Pioneers co-pilot air drop revealed yesterday holding a point 170th floor post reveal Porsche 911
1.8.8.8.4. But still holding kind of nice there compared to what we were kind of talking about for Porsche from the beginning there. A new security exploit is going around tied to blur signatures used in some cases to drain wallets of their NFTs using a spoofed signature request made to appear as though it was coming from blur. So take
Be careful out in the streets there. 12 PEPA surged again yesterday, rising to a point 1.5 ETH floor. And another week, another massive spirit of Zuki Sale with number 3153 selling for 191 ETH, which is $337,000 to notable trader EB7, who now has it as his PFP for the time being.
Bicycle cards updated their PFP on Twitter to a board ape. The company purchased an ape in October and have teased a board ape themed deck of cards coming. And finally, a Tesla, and I was checkpoint yesterday, a tool that enables collectors of checks by Jack Butcher to work together in the quest for the top tier black check. You need 4,096 individual checks to create the black check.
So it seems like perfect use case there for fractional ownership and shout out to Andy and D's Friends of the show and D's was on our show yesterday great guest there Yeah, I love that move by tesura I think the other thing on my radar for today. It's actually a really big day for our drops We've got an our block security drop happening. We've also got the first
Proof X-Pace Verso Gallery collab happening today. I think that one is going to be huge for the Proof and Moonbird's ecosystem. It's the first art drop since this renewed focus on art as the vision, as the North Star for that ecosystem.
how the market perhaps outside of the proof ecosystem is going to value this, it may be come in, will likely be a forecast of what we can expect for some future Moonberg's price action. So I'm going to be watching that one really closely today. With just a few minutes left, we can hit on around
We can talk about the proof collab we can talk about blur adding mobile buying or Instagram shuttering NFTs. It's all up for grabs ghosts. Go to you first and then CT. I actually wanted to really quickly comment on one of your news blur which is the CSGO skin selling for $160,000 and I just want to say like imagine being a
had a bit of a bearish reaction. You know, CS Cisco as I understand it is one of the the pico top AAA games and one of the very very best rare assets only sold for $160,000. So does that mean a lot of our collectibles and rare in the NFT space are overvalued? So
That was a bit of my concern coming into that. Go. So I think while we're chatting here, you have been very active in the blur market trading in out of the blur token. What were your reactions to blur at a mobile buying? How big of a news was that? Have you started using mobile much yourself? I'm curious.
Yeah, I mean I wasn't it wasn't too much of news for me because I am very scared to use my phone for NFT trading and like keeping my Meta Meta mask on my phone honestly and I like to Take my time to make sure that everything is is cool and secure so I think that having mobile and
enabled, kind of just enables you to move even faster, which is not always the best thing in NFTs. So it's too scary for me to have it on mobile. So not really a factor there. And I encourage anyone who's using a mobile to just make sure that you're being super safe and taking your time because it really encourages you to probably just click through faster.
and sign random transactions there. Definitely a risk vector. There are ways to do it safely, right? Via burner wallas and whatnot. But I think one thing I've learned from being in several DeGin Twitter group chats is that DeGins love to buy and sell on mobile. So I think this is going to be great for the DeGin market who's out on the go, but still
to trade. And like before we wrap, I guess I want to get your thoughts on the Instagram news that they're shattering their NFT programs. I guess was this a big surprise for you? Do you think it was expected? And maybe if you think it's good, bad, or neutral here for the broader NFT space?
So one, I think they will be back. I don't think that they necessarily will have a choice in the end, especially with the amount of influencers and influencing that happens on Instagram in general.
I don't know if it's good or bad for the NFT space. Maybe it's kind of like a neutral or like a oh that one didn't really hit. That wasn't really a good execution of a program. I think we're gonna see a lot more things like Nike.swosh and Starbucks Odyssey before we see a large scale normie adoption like what
Instagram was going for and we also know that one's suck announced what was going on with meta and the proposal for you know digital goods in their marketplace and that they were going to take something like 50% of creator, creator earnings. It had enormous backlash and like maybe they just couldn't come up with a
way to make it profitable to meet their goals. So I think there's more likely a chance that they're refocusing on AI because that's the cool thing to do. And then they're going to come back to the drawing board. I think that news earlier where AI was passing a lot of these challenging exams like
the AP tests and like the bar exam and stuff. I think that's a good indication actually of what the future of NFTs is going to look like and why it's going to be so important to be able to prove your identity on the blockchain in order to monitor
who's really accessing this type of information and create that immutable traceability. Yeah, I'm with you there. I think that's absolutely one of the biggest takeaways and sectors to watch here during this AI boom and revolution ghost. You've got your hand up, you know, last thoughts, and then we'll close out.
Yeah, I thought it was pretty jarring to see Instagram sunset the NFT stuff and it kind of felt like they were putting their heads in the sand to what seems to be at least a clear trend in the tech space. But I thought there was two good tweets that I saw. One was from seed phrase who tweeted immediately and said Instagram will
back next hype cycle, which I agree with. I don't think we've seen the last of them. Maybe they'll create their own term for digital collectibles that they'll then roll out and pretend it's something different. But I think they will be back. And then I pin Jack Butcher's tweet to the the spaces here, but he said the abacus is sunset and calculators, which I thought was a pretty funny comparison. Yeah, great tweet by#
I think I tend to agree that Instagram will be back for NFTs. We will see. All right folks, we are running out of time before we close. What's dropping today? A lot of drops. We've got the memes by 6529. Actually, a new time is going to be at noon due to the time shift. We've got our blocks.
key event on the day. It's a huge day for new men's against a terrible macro backdrop that makes for a day of huge volatility truly hard to call price action on any of this in this environment. The R-Plot's Curie drop is interesting and just a 300 supply that's going to be a focus to sanction it. Again that proof art
Rob is going to be also a very interesting one to watch. It's going to have a lot of backing from that proof because it's going to expect that. And then of course the summoning is the wild card and made a bit of the day. All right folks, that is our show for today. We'll be back tomorrow and today in the Eastern thanks to our listeners for tuning in. Thanks to my
Go host, everyone, enjoy your Wednesday. Let's make it a great day.
