ご視聴ありがとうございました Thank you. yo i'm not gonna lie that uh it's kind of a jam i was kind of vibing out to the music there
honestly between that and the shusher i have right
now going for charlie i uh i was about to pass out bro i was looking at the clock i was like i'm
gonna let this run for another minute or so i was waiting for like the beat to drop a little bit
all right let's just uh let everybody get in here i'm already seeing a couple people from last week
that joined over two weeks ago.
Sarah's been chilling in the Discord, letting everybody know, rocking that Cinderella pen over there.
Basically the same format, right, Clint, as two weeks ago.
We're going to kind of go over some of the stuff, kind of let people know about kind of how some of the market goes.
You're a lot more aware and kind of up to date on the mechanics of everything.
And I realize that because I'm asking you, you know, 15 questions a day about the market.
And then like we talked about earlier, if anybody wants to come up and join the conversation, it's super easy. At the bottom, you're just going to request to join.
And then there's a little emoji under the – the well there's a section of emojis you can click that and there's a hand where you can just raise
your hand and then we know to call on you and it makes it a lot easier to have like more interaction
to where there's more questions and better points because you know um it it's just a get a much
better feel of how everybody feels about the marketplace and all that if we have a lot of
interaction so 100 i mean i think we'll go over a few we'll highlight a few things if anybody has
any questions about you know you know anything about pinnacle we'll do our best to answer it
um i'd love to get some you know i i've been um a lot of new people have been asking me uh you
know commenting on some tweets when i'm tweeting about Pinnacle, where to start, what do we recommend collecting?
So I'd love to get some people's feedback on where they would start with a collection, what type of pins they look for.
Because, I mean, you jumped into it a couple weeks ago, but it's definitely overwhelming trying to figure out where to attack this market.
So that'd be interesting to get get some feedback
on that from from other people there were a few big sales um i saw serial number one sell so i
definitely want to you know touch on that i see people in the discord talking about the mickey
starter set so we're 100 going over that tonight and uh yeah let's have some fun so let's let's allow a few more people to to jump in
and then uh we'll get it started you know the wild thing was there was a lot like you know that was
two weeks ago that was my first marketplace event or last weekend i guess so i kind of jumped in
right before that trading event then i did did a marketplace event. And I know in like Discord and some of like the side chats,
there was a lot of concern on like,
oh, maybe it might be too soon.
It's probably gonna be like subdued.
There was like so many sales.
In that last marketplace event,
people were kind of concerned like maybe too soon,
you know, too much too soon.
But based on the numbers that came out tonight,
What was it, a million we just hit
in the marketplace volume
yeah so i believe this is the seventh event um i see it all over you know x people are posting um
that i think across the million dollars in sales you know pinnacle across the million dollars in
total sales so that's that's pretty awesome i mean it's it's it's um that's a ton of pins being sold you know a lot of pins being sold and you know it's it's
funny like the discussion people are having is like you know obviously there have been more
frequent events and like i'm a fan of a 24-hour marketplace because i think the you get the actual
feel of what's the value there you know like you know what's the liquidity for it you know and
that's that's like what we've known you know you and i coming from you know board apes to you know every
other you know you know digital asset that we've really traded and dude you just want to go down
the line on every project you've been involved in just alphabetical you want to make me cry in the
corner right now start crying on spaces that's being recorded. Right.
But with everybody listening, though,
if people aren't coming from the NFT world, like, you know, it's really just, you know,
a name change of NFTs versus digital collectibles.
But, you know, the excitement and kind of what we felt early on
about the possibilities on what this could turn into,
we, you know, I know you feel the same as I do.
Like, there's some real potential here.
And the way that Dapper has done,
the way that the Flow blockchain has done,
they've made it where all the stuff operates
You don't even really realize
that you're interacting on these smart contracts
and that you're actually like owning these pins
and that like they're in your wallet
and that, you know, everything is on chain.
They've done a really good job of putting this behind the scenes
where it's more of a consumer-friendly product.
Yeah, I mean, it's very – you named it.
I mean, you don't even – it's very easy.
I mean, you have your credit card hooked up, Apple Pay, whatever you have.
You don't have to go through all these barriers of entry
and figure out all this other stuff. I remember when i first bought something from openc i was like all
right i need to send it from my coinbase to this wallet i guess it's you know my metamask and then
i'm connecting and then there was a gas fee like i didn't even know what that was there's thank god
for you know the um you know the the d farmers of the world that were helping me out at back in 21.
Um, you know, some may even say, some may even say that it's too easy. My bank hit me up and was
like, uh, is this fraud? I'm like, Nope, I'm just, I'm just sweeping the floors on Jafar. Don't worry.
Don't worry bank. I'm just doing work over here. Yeah. It's a, I mean, listen, it's, it's easy.
And, you know, I was always interested in, um, you know, Carson and I's it's easy and you know i was always interested in um
you know carson i go way back and you know we we touched on that last um last basis we did
last week and um you know i was interested to see how you actually you know is it fun collecting
these because that's at the end of the day is it fun like collectibles from cards to you know to
anything and you said it was and i'm like all right there we go because i mean i have a blast it's it's like i can't wait for you know charlie to be a little
older and you know i said it watch a movie and be like here's arielle you know here's here's this
pin you know and get her a wallet and do the whole thing but all right so we have oh no i was
just gonna say just just adding that one point like they've done a good job in the clear that, you know,
I beat like a drum last week, but, you know,
they learned a lot with Top Shot,
and it's like those mechanics that make it fun, completing sets.
I mean, obviously you can't do a lineup.
You know, you can't do your top five with Disney,
but you can complete these pin sets from movies, which is really fun,
and you know that's what people are going to want to do,
and so they've got the different, you know, additions and the Lux marble and all those things. And so, you know,
they've learned their lesson and they know how to kind of make it fun and how
to add that suspense to it and the mystery, the mystery vials. So, yeah,
I mean, they, they know what they're doing and it has been fun, you know,
trying to see, and it's like,
you just kind of keep rolling the dice or ripping packs for the card side.
And it's like, you know, yeah, it is a lot of fun.
They've done a great job.
So just to, let's get this started.
So just to go over it, you know, Pinnacle, you know, congratulations to them,
to team across the million dollars in total sales for the marketplace events.
marketplace events for you know anybody that's new here what they've been doing during the the
For, you know, anybody that's new here,
the initial launch is um special weekends where they have like a marketplace event where you could
go on lister pins buy pins um they have certain trading weekends where you could you know hop in
the discord or you know on on twitter or whatever and you discuss with people you send trades you
accept them so you could trade pins they've had a couple more of those than the marketplace events, but this is the seventh one.
And they crossed a million dollars in total sales. So, you know, it's an average of anywhere from,
you know, a little over a hundred grand per event. Last event, there were some, that was last week.
So they're becoming more frequent. You know, that's what I'm noticing. Nothing obviously from the team there, you know, we don't speak on behalf of the team,
but, um, they're starting to become more frequent and it's pretty nice to see that there's the
constant volume there, uh, you know, and, and, you know, throughout.
So last week we had some of the Genesis pins.
Those are the one of one cell.
It was like 30 grand 20, think 25 000 was the other one
you had the darth maul one um and then you had the incredible cell so far that uh the lion king
genesis hasn't been listed i'm curious to see what that would go for um a few big sales also
this week you know i i see a lot of new people jumping in and buying sort of a lot of the standards, like the princess sets, you know, started ripping.
Those used to go for about four bucks and they're trading close to 10 now.
And we saw like a serial one sell to, you know, our buddy, you know, Dice sold it, Cock bought it.
And he bought the Raz serial number one, which is pretty awesome.
And he actually has the Monsters, Inc. set.
He completed it, and he has all five pins, all cereal five or under.
So, like, that's pretty awesome.
And then something else I want to highlight.
So I don't even know if you know
about this so when people when people sign up for um pinnacle they norm they normally have a
sorry they normally have like a starter set going on where you buy one capsule, you get like four of the pins or four or five of pins.
And then another one comes in the rotation where you could purchase it.
So it's like to complete the set.
The first one they had was like a Disney, Mickey, Goofy, you know, and all those characters.
They used to trade for like a dollar.
Out of nowhere, they flew to Mickey's going for like $40 a piece. Everyone
All the others are going for 10 $15. That's why everyone talking about it. Absolutely wild. I love to see it. So
Yeah, well, I think hysterical is
How you kind of think I'm insane because i'll tell you i'll be like bro, did you see this pin and you're like?
Yes, everybody knows that pin it just reminded me when i saw i think holy was down there somewhere i'm not sure if they're still
on here or not but they've got the um what is it the pluto like color splash i saw that and i was
like bro have you seen this pen you're like yes everybody has seen that pen but there are a lot
of like little hidden treasures around um that really catch your eye on that are you know they
put a lot of work into it uh their low count and all that which is is really cool um double daddy
hopped up here and uh someone else uh video shane jumped up double daddy you want to pop in and
chime in and add some to the conversation sure absolutely how we doing everybody
oh crushing it just enjoying us i think it's saturday night absolutely so i've got
a few things uh i wanted to point out that again we met up last weekend but last week is when the
lion king le released and if we look at the uh week over week numbers on the lion king pins i
think that's phenomenal growth in a week myself uh Just looking at the chaser, I think it started around 125, 150,
and I think it's hovering close to three now,
in between 250 and three at any rate.
So I think that's great growth in a week.
I think people are locking down that strong IP, and it's nice to see.
I also want to point out that we have another calendar
for the whole month of August,
so we get to see when the whole month of August.
So we get to see when we've got marketplace events.
We get to see when we've got trade events so we can kind of plan for the future here.
We aren't necessarily used to this.
But yeah, we'll see what happens after this month.
And actually, I'm going to circle back uh because you mentioned earlier on about liquidity and and just to spice things up a little bit uh i've got a great example of two pins that are
both color splash that are within let's say 10 pins are available within 10 pins available to
the public and one of them is worth one of them is priced at around 3. And one of them is worth, one of them is priced at around 3000.
And one of them is priced at maybe 150 when it comes available.
it's quite a divide and I'll share the two pins with you later,
but let's see if anybody can figure it out in the meantime,
a little bit of fun trivia,
which two color splashes that let's say,
let's say have a under 160 circulating supply
vary by that amount all right all right well i'll tell you this so uh on the on the stage i'm
definitely the new guy um so i just learned today that limited edition and the the limited edition
events were the only ones that actually had serial numbers.
I was getting ready to buy an open edition that I was trying to add to my collection.
I was like, where are the serial numbers?
And I hit up, and I'm like, bro, where are the serial?
He's like, they don't have them.
So there are little idiosyncrasies that do take a little bit of time to learn and figure out what's going to be rare.
Or I guess for me, I was concerned.
I was like, am I buying the wrong thing?
Is this, do I think this is a limited edition?
So, you know, there are a bunch of little idiosyncrasies in the collections like that.
There was one more thing.
Oh, I couldn't find for the life.
I couldn't find, I was looking for Kaa and Mowgli and I'm like, it's a limited edition.
But, you know, it turns out those are actually not limited edition. They're just super low numbers, which makes them rare. Like you would think a limited edition was so it's fun to like pick through. They did a great job on the, on the, on the app, allowing all, you know, to filter through everything and kind of pick through all the different collections and find stuff. So, um, great job. Great job there. Video Shane, do you have anything you want to add? Have you
figured out the trivia question from Double Daddy? I haven't figured out the trivia question. I just
wanted to jump up and just share my thoughts about where things are heading. I did a panel this year
at San Diego Comic-Con and had representative from Dapper Labs on the panel. And we had a 300-person room, and we almost filled the entire room with people.
And before the panel began, I asked who in the room hadn't ever collected digitally before.
And I got about 12 hands that came up, and new people were coming in constantly throughout the panel.
And I just think that's evident of, you know,
people are opening up to the idea of collecting digitally.
So I'm just excited about the entire space and just happy to be here.
While you're speaking, Cockerson,
I just saw the Pinnacle bot light up $615 for a, what was it, Clint?
Yeah, the Cinderella digital display just sold.
You know, what an animal.
Yeah, no, I love seeing that.
I mean, I love those princess DDs.
But Shane, I mean, that's great to see because, you know,
everybody that's involved in this, like if you're involved in NFTs,
digital collectibles, like I think we all think that's where it's going
in the future. It just, it makes so much sense collecting stuff digitally and like
just the blockchain and showing ownership and who minted it and the date you minted it date you
bought it who owned it previously like you know it takes away you know forgeries like i saw something
like some article about some sports memorabilia, like, you know, something got busted for a ton of fakes out there. And it's like, this solves that, you know, and then selling it, you know, it's so much easier. It's like, all right, automatically, it's in your wallet. If you want to display it, there's going to be better ways to display it. There's stuff coming out already, you know, to show it on screens. And, you know, if you want to show your card collection, you don't have to bring a physical card, card you know your binder of cards you you have it in your wallet people could look it up it's
just it's you know it's it's easier for uh um you know if somebody wants to access a certain
collector group you know like a certain company or you know or reward their collectors you could
see who who minted it or who owns this or who owns certain sets there's
so much you could do with it so that's great to see that there's more people opening up to it and
i mean there's such a huge market with disney and you know star wars and pixar and everything so
that's awesome to see and uh even on top of that just not having to have the physical item
it was probably five six years ago or so.
We took a massive family trip to Disney.
And I don't know what got into me.
I don't know if I just decided I was going to be a collector or what.
But I went on an absolute heater with those pins.
I looked like Michael Phelps coming out of the Olympics when I left that place.
I had pins from all that.
If my life depended on it, I probably couldn't tell you where those things are at. all the olympics when i left that place i had pins from all that i could not figure out if my
life depended on it i probably couldn't tell you where those things are at and i know i spent an
absolute grip and i think what the app is for the digital ones they're there and you know you come
back and find it in a couple years you probably can all you know offload them for a little bit so
uh the digital just makes sense for a lot of reasons 100 and then um you had a double daddy over there he he brought up the
lion king set i mean that's something um that just for for people that might not know like
normally when you have a when you have a drop like you know you have a bunch of people that
are buying it to flip it and there's that you know what goes into buying the the capsule is
you're getting that chaser which is the more you know the rarer pin that's going to sell for more.
And off the bat, that one was selling for, you know, nearly double the mint price.
And everything else was kind of floating around mint price.
And the fact that it didn't really dip and none of the other pins dipped under that.
And then you're starting to see strong buying patterns.
Like that's something that, you know, just from collectingfts for the past couple years i saw that i'm like all right i mean one lion king
everybody knows it it's it's iconic and then the pins they're all the magic reveal ones like you
know that's something i someone uh reached out to me earlier today and i'm like they were buying
some pins that were magical i'm like do you even know what they do and they didn't and i showed
him he's like oh that's awesome so um really strong set and you're 100 right for highlighting
that i mean you're seeing some strong buying activity on it you're seeing some people start
collecting it like some some of some whales that you know i saw a few sweeps from some people that
own a lot of pins and it's like all right you know that's that's good to see um you know especially right out of the gate so it might for i i thought
we might play a fun game right now um and it's called let's spend a little bit of my money so
i've got three pins in mind two of them are lux marble and one is limited edition so based on
those not that knowledge i need you to eliminate one.
I should say one is a Lion King Lux Marvel,
one is a Star Wars Lux Marvel,
I mean, I swept like 50 plus today i just like yeah i couldn't stop
dude i'm a fan of the star wars so i'm gonna go with star wars on that one all right well that
kind of helps me uh i think i'm gonna make you kind of happy carson and you
really happy clint i've i've reduced it to both marbles one is the luke lux
and the other is the scar lux
and honestly i have more of the scar but i'm grabbing the scar yeah he's just loading up
this this scar pins are super legit ones look awesome yeah i'm still not i'm still not as deep
in the collections so i still like i'm going through right now as you're saying that and like
getting reacquainted with those there's there there are a ton of pins uh and that's why it's
like you know a couple people have asked me and and they're like, hey, you just started.
Where are you focusing on?
I'm like, dude, I'm just trying to hit the basics,
and then I'm going to go kind of knee-deep.
Just for fun, the third pin we eliminated right away was Nemo
I mean, listen, that's like one of the first limited edition drops they had.
Everyone loves Finding Nemo.
I think they're being slept on.
But, you know, that's just me.
I mean, we'll see in the long run.
I grabbed seven Rafikis, so I hear you.
You know, I also think they look great.
It's just like they really do.
They did a fantastic job.
I mean, we touched on it last pieces.
Originally, I stayed away from the open edition pins because I didn't know how they were
going to handle that second release and how they're doing it is it's a very
creative way of, you know, a more, you know,
an easier entry point for people that could still collect it, still have,
you know, the Disney it still have you know the disney set
and you know you could complete the second um you know release of like the disney princesses
and you're not spending you know all this money because i mean the disney princesses the first
released the digital display they go for thousands of dollars so it's it's a very creative way they're
not identical they are different they're different you know they're named different stuff so So it was very creative. I liked how they did that. I'm like,
all right, I guess I need to spend more money on the open edition ones. And the guy, our guy
Fob down there definitely helped me allocate some funds to it. All right. We have someone else
coming up here. Yeah. Real quick while we have just like a kind of a reset the room moment,
just retweet these spaces down at the bottom where you see the little quote,
the little thought bubble,
just that you can retweet the room.
We actually just got retweeted by the actual flow blockchain,
It'll help bring some more people in just to get the spaces grown,
asking more questions and really just introduce more people to what Disney Pinnacle is doing.
One of the most important things I've seen in projects, regardless of who's launching it,
whether it's Disney or whether it's a knock amigos or bored apes or punks or whoever it is,
it's really like this community aspect.
And it is really exciting to see how well the community is already organizing
and organizing itself and setting kind of boundaries and rules and discords and helping
each other out and really like promoting each other and sharing and like really pointing things
out. The community is, for as small of a group as it is, is doing a phenomenal job. So just want
to give like kudos to everybody that's here. I'm seeing like a ton of names here that I'm seeing in Discord.
So it's really cool to see everybody turning out.
So share the spaces and let's rock and roll.
And also to see the team get behind it.
I mean, there's a few team members in here, you know, Flow Blockchain retweeting us.
Like, you know, we have no relation and haven't spoken to anybody from the team.
So this is just something where Carson and I, when we like a project, we like to host spaces, talk to everybody,
get up here, especially during the marketplace events, since it is, you know, it's limited,
get up here, start talking about some pins that we think are undervalued, you know, what people
are buying, what people are looking for, what they value themselves, because obviously everybody
looks at, you know, everything differently. Really cool.
And, you know, we really do appreciate, you know, them supporting.
Shout out to all of them.
And, Clint, if you look down, you do see that name.
I believe that's Jerry who unlocked the Genesis pin last week.
Is that the same Jerry that unlocked that?
He might be the one that bought it.
Or the one that bought it. Or the one that bought it.
Yeah, he unlocked it with his wallet.
Yeah, he unlocked it with a nice little
either adapter or a credit card payment.
He's going to come up and tell us.
He got a free flight somewhere.
We have Diamond under there.
his website that he put together, analyzing all this stuff hurts a little.
Cause I keep on seeing my name up there with biggest spending, you know,
but awesome. He did, you know, he or she do absolutely great work. So,
you know, shout out the diamond book down there. So listen,
I heard a rumor that they were actually going to change the name of the bot to the board
Clinton bot. Is that true,
When I was sweeping those Lux
marbles, it was like, another,
another, another, another, another, another.
I'd love to get some people up here.
If you guys want to talk about some pins that you
like, some stuff that you think is undervalued
during this Marketplace event, we'd like to talk about some some pins that you like some stuff that you think is undervalued you know during this marketplace event we we'd like to you know talk about all that
so people want to i'd like to i'd like to disclose the trivia answer even though nobody guessed
if that's cool yeah go for it 100 all right so there's actually a couple i'm just going to
highlight one we obviously know the expensive color splash would be the pluto
color splash and i think it's got from the mickey and friends friend volume two is the one we're
talking about and it i think has a circulating supply of in the high 60s maybe it's mid 60s
and when you go to star wars holiday sweaters, you find Trooper Tidings.
It's got a 153 supply, but 75 of those are held back.
So you've got 78 out amongst the whole community.
And this thing tops out at 350, 400 bucks.
So it's just crazy to see, you know, a couple of pins with the same level of supply one really
gets its due and the other doesn't really get its due you know what i mean yeah i mean it's
interesting what people look at and it's like you know ip what it is um obviously like i think some
of those those pins like you had um and honestly you know i mentioned it last time but it got me
what really got me excited about
pinnacle was um when they started doing like those limited edition pins or the the open edition event
pins because you know i'm i'm a huge fan of po-op so um i don't know you know people might be
valuing that you know and that that might be boosting it up but yeah it's about a 10x multiplier
so and you got me thinking about that. And I'm sorry,
I don't mean to monopolize the chat here,
but you got me really thinking about that because I mean,
we've all got core Disney memories from when we're kids,
but what if you're a kid and you're at that ride and you get that core
memory of being on that ride.
And then you've got that pin that you picked up your POAP pin that you
picked up from that ride. And now you've got that pin that you picked up, your POAP pin that you picked up from that ride.
And now you've got a core memory
and you can carry that with you with your pin.
I think that just, that's crazy.
Yeah, it's the date, it's the time.
It's like everything's locked in.
Now, like imagine you could almost,
I mean, and this would be something else,
like you could add to it and you could add like a picture,
you know, like that kind of like links up to it or something.
And you could really then make it a moment, you know, almost like, you know, if you have like an Instagram type app, you know, thing where it's like, you know, it's just like there's there's so much you could do with this with blockchain technology and like obviously with the iconic IP and what Disney has
with the theme parks there's it's the possibilities are endless and that's what Carson and I were
talking about from the beginning what's so exciting about this is like there's so many boxes that are
checked like one it's fun but there's there's so many possibilities that you could do and there's
so many different users that you could target to start collecting this and you know what they're doing with disney plus is exciting i mean it shows
you know they're giving away pins for people that are subscribing to disney plus and i think so many
people are subscribed to disney plus i mean that's like a huge um you know marketing event so you
know push but yeah there's so much you could do you can get very creative and this could you know a marketing event so you know push but yeah there's so much you could do you can get very
creative and this could you know it's about getting more people to download pinnacle and
spend their time on the app and learning about it and like that's just such a to me that's such an
easy way to do it you scan a q qr code you get a pen it makes my brain fizzle i'll be 100 honest
like i can't stop thinking about it when i think about it well like just to to kind of like highlight that you know to to not apply on your name but
like to double down on what clint said like this was almost like always the promise of like what
web3 could be and i can almost hear like a collective sigh like in the crowd so like when
you hear about like oh this is on crypto or it's on a blockchain you know it tends to like kind of turns people off and that's why people have made that move to like digital you hear about like, oh, this is on crypto or it's on a blockchain, you know, it tends to like kind of turns people off.
And that's why people have made that move to like digital collectibles.
But like the cool thing about like what they're doing with Flow is you've signed up with email, right?
You've not had to create some kind of seed phrase and all this weird stuff and all this nomenclature that doesn't make sense to you.
You just signed them with email.
Like you don't really realize that you have a wallet that's in the background.
But the cool thing is like everybody in the background knows it and with that po app or with that whatever that they unlock um for their
holders you know you go to d23 and you get this pin like great but what they've also got is they
know who who's there and they can see the activity they can see like let's say uh a new ride comes
out right a new star wars a new kylo ren, you know, 3000 ride. And they decide like, hey,
the first thousand riders of that, we're going to, we're going to send them a pin. Like they can do
that. They can do anything with that information for years and years, because you've got this,
you've got this wallet address that they can see like the activity you're doing along the way.
And that's, that's kind of been like what the promise of all these communities building on
blockchains would be like, imagine if Need for Speed or Gran Turismo,
these games that I've played thousands of hours as a kid,
you know, I've souped up cars on Gran Turismo 3 when I was a teenager
that, like, I would love to be able to go look in a wallet somewhere
and see this car that I built and I spent hundreds of hours on.
But, like, you know, all that time I spent, all that energy,
that collectible that I put on that game, that's just kind of like gone to the wayside and I have no connection with
that. What Disney and Pinnacle and Flow and all of them are like trying to build if they do it right
in which they, you know, they obviously can do it's, it could change your entire experience with
Disney with collecting, you know, for centuries, you know, you could give this pin to your kid
and they could go back and look and see like,
this is what my dad or mom did. This is what they bought. This is where they bought it. This is the
experience they have. And then they can recreate that and they can recreate that. And it makes this
ecosystem and this community that's really like nothing else that we've done before.
So can I ask a question then? Because it raises a good question, I think, is do these need to be soulbound if it's tied to a person? Is it limited to a wallet?
do stuff like that, like if they wanted to recognize just like a one-off thing, like let's
say like at the year mark, they want to send everybody a soulbound token to their Dapper
wallet or to their Pinnacle wallet to say like, these are our, these are our Genesis
holders or our Genesis fans or whatever.
Like that was something that would be cool to like honor that wallet for being like one
of the originals, you know?
So they definitely could do that.
But as far as like the pins, I don't think a soul token is is kind of a a path they'd want to go to they they want they want those um those pins
being shared a po app is something that would be more of like a soulbound type of thing where it's
like a proof of experience that's exactly what i meant i meant only with the pull up so yeah
i could see going the other way where like even you know if they have some sort of
system where if you collect x number of pins and you get some sort of benefit then all of a sudden
incentivize people to you know it puts a value on all right well what's that worth to somebody
how many do you need to have how many do you need to collect all of a sudden there's a reward for
you going to certain parks or events or movie permit you know
all this different stuff so um you know there's see that's why i would go the other way i mean
the soulbound could be cool for certain things you know like uh you know exclusive proof of
attendance proof of intent but the proof of attendance is the person that minted it you
know like if you were if it if it has your wallet name or username, the first person that
minted it, that's your proof.
It would be cool if you still have it, but
you also want to incentivize people collecting
different game theory to it.
He's had his hand raised for a while.
Kick me off the stage for a bit.
So I've been working with the Flow blockchain.
I've been working with Flow blockchain for about four years off and on, like learning how to build on the Flow.
And I think that Flow in general is extremely undervalued.
It's, what, 41 cents? Last time I checked, I think that that's general is extremely undervalued. It's, what, 41 cents last time I checked?
I think that that's going to be a huge increase because it's so much easier to launch tokens in there on any chain, really, and they're integrative.
The only problem I really have with Flow is selling.
So that one problem I've been trying to work on resolving on my end.
So, you know, I believe the Disney pin
is like one of the most amazing things.
And I think that we're gonna be able to
put those pins in spatial environments.
I'm an augmented reality developer with Spectacles,
you know, a Snapchat Spectacles 24.
So I think what we're gonna be doing
is we're gonna be taking those kinds of things
like the pins and putting them into the glasses
and creating environments where you can overlay skins
on your body or create a room of your own,
I could see a whole list of different tools
and functionalities for them.
And I'm more of a utility builder than I am a game builder,
so I know that's accessibility features is kind of my thing.
Imagine, just like Hopin, imagine a scavenger hunt at the parks, Pokemon Go style,
where you basically have the AR glasses on and you're like hunting pens at the park.
That is what I'm building.
That's exactly what I'm building.
But it's not with pens, it's with something else.
But, you know, I did help with, you know, some of the coding on the project.
It was, I'm telling you without finances, it's been a real challenge.
But the amount of progress that we, that they've made is unreal.
I don't know if you've looked at the spectacles, 24 glasses, or seen the platform. It's pretty amazing.
You'll have to check that out for sure. I've done the the meta glasses so I've used those
I know they're completely different than like the Snapchat ones but
you know the tech is moving quick I mean yeah the tech's moving so fast. No it's it's scary to see
where things are going and I think we should be drawing together as a community and coming up
with ideas together and collaborating.
You know, collaboration is the new currency and one of the biggest challenges I have is
finding people that want to put the effort and time in to build because I mean I spend
16 hours a day on a computer.
I've got a MacBook Pro M4 8 terabyte, that's what I have.
And then I got a Pegasus promise 64 terabyte and it's
so the challenge is is real and it's not even enough to keep up with everything
i mean you know snapchat and then they have unlimited resources
yeah that's insane that's insane are you uh are you a big pen collector with the pinnacle app or
are you yeah uh just just more on the –
What is your favorite pen you've got so far, do you think?
I built, and I got gifted things and stuff like that.
So I've got a decent amount of pens, but I think that it's really awesome to have such a huge brand come out.
And it all started with Top Shot back in 2021.
Do you guys remember the Top Shot?
Oh, yeah. i've got a bunch
of cards they're probably still for sale to be honest they're gonna bring it back because disney
and all them all flow is owned by disney nbc um they're owned by fox all these big name companies
are involved i mean it's it's unreal that they've pulled together the way they have.
And it's all coming out of, you know, of course, Apple and Google.
But I think the biggest owner is probably Google, if I'm not mistaken.
Well, they've done a good job. And again, just being the underlying blockchain where people interact with it
and don't really even realize it.
Thanks for hopping up and giving some of that background.
If there's anybody in here that wants to build or wants to learn and,
or has something to teach or wants to be a part of my project or any other
projects, you know, I could always lead the way and, you know,
give the best advice I can. So just feel free to DM me.
We sure appreciate that, man.
All right. Thank you for coming up here. And we have yo staff yo staff how are you what's up fellas how you doing thanks for listening 100 how are you
no thanks for coming up um i'm doing well um i just wanted to chime in on the conversation a
little bit because i am a very big physical Disney pin trader and collector.
I've been doing it since around like 2007 and we're celebrating.
So I live here in Orlando and I go to the Disney theme parks literally several times a week.
And every Tuesdays they do physical pin releases over here where thousands of people come out like and wait for
the parks to open like we're lined up waiting for the parking lot for the for the park to open and
people are just there by the thousands ready to collect these pins and I always think like because
you know I've been in the digital space since around like 2021 so I'm wondering you know how
we can get all these like physical pin traders into the space and
i think that disney collectors are like really passionate about like exclusive things which is
why they do go crazy for these limited pins every tuesday when they release but i think that if they
could kind of do like geolocated park exclusive digital pins that can also come out and like put up a little
uh physical like plastic display at the registers where they where they have yeah where they have
like these plastic displays where it shows okay these are the ones that are coming out digital
wise on an app called disney pinnacle like they can see that there's not just physical ones but there's digital ones
also because i mean these pin traders are very dedicated and just love love love to collect so
i would love to see you know a bunch more of those physical collectors come into the space because i
think eventually like they would have a good time with this oh without a doubt i'm on i'm thank you
for coming up here and sharing that i was always you know know, I'll be honest, I'm so naive. I didn't even know about like the physical pins. I just thought it was a cool concept they came up with. And then obviously, like through this app, I learned that so it's pretty, it's very cool for you to come up here and share that, that experience. those type of limited edition drops where people you said thousands like that's exactly who you
know like the target market is i mean you get them a wallet it's like it's game over
yeah that's what i was saying that when i went that that one trip dude i'm telling you it was
like michael phelps coming out of the olympics bro i had these lanyards with bins it looked like
i don't know people must have thought i was a maniac. But, yeah, they're really cool.
And it reminds me of the art you're seeing on these pins. It's, like, very unique.
You know, it's scenes from movies.
It's, like, you know, it was, like, near Father's Day.
And so they had, obviously, all these, like, Darth Vader Father's Day pins.
You know, like, best father in the galaxy.
Just, like, really funny, like, on-the-nose pins.
And I just do a great job with it and i would not doubt at all that that you know uh park exclusives or
geolocated pens like that that's going to be a thing because you know that's ultimately where
that's what they're going to reward they want to reward people that are like participating in their
ecosystem and that's what i had drawn on on that last basis was the collectible market. When you compare like Disney Pinnacle to Top Shot, the collectible market is like 10x for Disney
as Top Shot. So, I mean, when we're talking about like scratching the surface here of what this
could end up being, we really are just dipping our toes into it. I would imagine that they have
some very big visions and I think co-apps and limited and park exclusive,
I think all those things are there.
I wouldn't even put it past them that they're going to have digital pins that
you could actually burn for physicals at some point.
They can just get so creative with rewarding their most passionate fans.
And like anybody can say, Hey, I'm your number one fan. It's like, okay,
we'll prove it. Let's see your wallet. And you know, okay,
you really are or you're really not, you know, uh,
unlikely for us, we've got Jerry down there. That's just, you know,
swinging his Amex credit card around like a lasso,
just by being in existence. But, uh, you know,
there's hope for us out there.
Yeah. I mean, that's awesome. I mean, the fact that they already have it in place it's it's like you
know now it's just hopefully you know doing this doing it on the digital side but um i think there
is you know there's obviously a barrier to going from physical something you can hold to digital
i mean when the first person told me about top Shot, I'm like, what are you talking about? You know, it's and then you finally it clicks, you know, especially for especially for the younger people.
I mean, Carson, you were telling me, like your kids, they have like a video game.
They rip packs to like play with certain, you know, players for for like MLB games and stuff like that.
So it's already like the foundations there for younger people.
And they're going to just get older and doing the same thing we're doing you know um yeah i'm
asking my son and my nephew i'm like how many games y'all played they're like what are you
talking about and i'm like are y'all playing like multiplayer online they're like no we're ripping
card packs i'm like for what what are you ripping card packs for it's just like they get to keep
those those are just game exclusives.
Now, if those were actually going to a wallet that was built on Flow,
that would be pretty cool.
So, yeah, there's, I mean, yeah, Disney games, like, you know,
you go to an Xbox game and then you earn an in-game pin.
You beat, like, you know, some Disney back-to-game, Star Wars
or whatever it might be, and then you get a digital pin on your wallet.
I mean, really, the potential for what they could do is endless.
But, yeah, the kids are way ahead of us on this.
I can tell them on a profile picture I'm an old man.
And then we have, thank you, Steph, for coming up here.
Do you have any pins that uh any what are your
favorite pins to collect i guess physical physical and digital uh physical wise i'm a big collector
of sorcerer mickey um and roger and jessica rabbit but i collect pretty much like everything
under the sun except star wars star wars is not really my favorite, but digital wise, the D23 pins, I think, are being slept on.
Because if you think about how you could even get those, you had to be at the D23 event last year.
And I just think those are very special ones because it was like, if you weren't there, you couldn't get them.
And then they had, if you were were trading you got to unlock different ones so yeah i think those are my opinion one of the best ones on the app so far
i honestly the the d23 ones i i love also like that that's i think that was one of the first
limited edition ones if i can be wrong there but i saw that i was like oh my god this is so cool
and then i'm a Star Wars nerd.
That's honestly what I kind of focused on in the beginning.
So I was like, oh my God, Baby Yoda.
I was like, give me Baby Yoda.
You just convinced me I'm buying some right now.
Second spaces in a row, we've had a recommendation on D23.
Yeah, and I didn't even think of um roger rabbit
i remember watching that you just like flash back to me watching that movie i used to watch
with my aunt and uncle all the time growing up like oh my god see that's and that's the other
thing like you know nostalgia factor just like it's it's it's right there um it's crazy with
some of this what i really i really want i really want a limited edition set, Lady and the Tramp.
That's like what I'm really waiting on.
I'm sure it's coming at some point.
And then we have, thank you for that, Steph.
I don't know if you want to, you're up here.
I don't know if you want to say anything.
I was in another project, Ronnie, with BC Trading Cars,
and they did a matching physical twin with the digital.
And I think some of the stuff that Steph said,
you've got this limited pins in the Disney store.
If you could scan a QR code that then gives you the same digital twin
and you match those up i think that's a good way to segue in those kind of physical pin collectors
i think that'd be a brilliant brilliant way just to introduce it to the digital side
and then in in the dc project i think they get attached so they don't always stay together
They don't always stay together.
But if you did keep, say, Serial 10 digital
with Serial 10 physical, it holds a high premium.
I think that's just a good idea
if Disney could bring that to life here.
I mean, I know Beeple. He's a big artist. One of the most famous ones in the NFT space, if people don't know him. But I mean, he sold stuff for like, what was it, Carson, like $65 million he sold something for. But he does something where every day he releases something. And a lot of times, a few times, he'll put it as an NFT and sell it.
He does raffles for like a dollar,
and then they sell for tens of thousands after that.
But I have one of his, and it actually, I had to track down.
It's like edition 10 of Into the Ether.
And I had to track down the physical,
because he sends you like this package if you buy it from him, primary sale.
And it's like a screen that you can plug in and display
it and i had to track that down and actually pay for that also so i paid a bunch of money for you
know the uh for the digital and then i got the physical but yeah i mean that's a hundred percent
like that's um that's a way to get people to kind of you know download the app it's a great idea um and i i'm sure they're
exploring all this yeah all right i bought two gg 23 pins during that conversation so thank you for
that stuff the other thing is you know leaderboards i don't know what you guys think of leaderboards
but one of the ways that i've thought about you to drive more engagement competition is to start
giving these pins points and these lower mid pins
carry the higher points to go on a leaderboard and then the leaderboard can generate either
reward pins again are scarce depending on who collects and who completes if you think about
the the master set that only a handful of people have got if you are rewarded with a pin
that the circulation is only that of those that complete
the master set i really it would push you then from it to complete a set 100 i mean there's so
many things that could be done and um you know with individual pin sets and then you have a
you know if you have like the jungle book master set and you could get a pin from that and you
know there's a lot of stuff that could be drive a lot of activity and you know a lot of oh well
do i hold this and then i sell it right before or do i hold it and then i try and get that pin and
then you know it's like then you have without that additional one you don't have that master
there's there's so much that could be done without a doubt and i just want to get your thoughts really on.
So Panini have done basically a leaderboard,
but based on entry of spend.
So the more you spend, the higher up that leaderboard you get.
I just want to get your thoughts. What do you think of that sort of thing?
I don't really, I dabbled a little with with panini i don't really know much about it i'd have to see it before
i commented but i mean i would think from my side looking at it disney seems really the disney the
pinnacle the top shot all those that you know it seems like they're more trying to push people to
collect um not necessarily about how much you've spent um because you know for instance i kind of want
to cheshire cat i don't really want to spend 1500 bucks for it but like you know if double daddy or
somebody has one i don't necessarily think i should get more points for that because i paid more
um you know we both have we're both collecting it someone got one a little sooner than i did
um so i think i think it might be just a different,
a different method of kind of rewarding their holders. Panini is, you know,
probably really trying to, to, to push their cards, but they don't really own,
you know, the player's IP like Disney does, you know, so it's kind of,
I think it's a different,
just a different goal that they probably both have real quick.
I do want to circle back Clint and I both have a hard out right at nine.
So we've got about eight minutes left.
Clint, I know you had mentioned you wanted to kind of go in depth
about that Mickey collection.
Do you want to cover that real quick before we have to close this thing up?
Yeah, so it's pretty fascinating.
So when you sign up, you get these starter pins.
I think at all times they have a different starter set going.
And the first one was Mickey and Friends Volume 1, I believe it's called.
Let me pull it up on the computer.
And, again, those were like trading for – so let me pull it up.
You had Mickey, which is a magic reveal.
If you own it, you spin it and a clip comes out.
And then you have Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Daisy, Goofy.
And those were selling for like a dollar a piece.
And like each one, like people were just like giving them away. And for some reason during this event, they've run where Mickey's selling for about $45.
You have Donald going for like $30 and every other one's selling for about $45. You have Donald going for like 30 and every other
one's going for like $15. So it's just like out of nowhere, this one starter set that basically
either got for free or like for seven bucks is now trading for, you know, probably close to,
you know, what is it? Like a hundred dollars. It's just, it's, it's something funny that I
noticed and I saw some people in the discord talking about. So I just, it's, it's something funny that I noticed and I saw some people
in the discord talking about, so I just, I wanted to highlight that.
It's funnier than that, Clint, because you, you completed this set, you, you bought the,
the starter set for four with four pins.
Then you went to the shop twice and completed it for another 5.99 or something so you spent what 20 bucks and you got three free mystery
capsules of your choice uh based on the releases that were available so you basically got uh your
20 in value for free in those pins so now you're coming out and you're getting these huge inflated
values on these it's like welcome to pinnacle thanks for
getting here early yeah it's pretty cool and it's i saw somebody talking about um well everybody has
one so it's like the ownership count is it's one you know like it's a hundred percent ownership you
know it's not like unless you're buying it on the secondary.
Hey, real quick before we go, Clint, I know we got to hurt out like five minutes.
Double Daddy, you also, it sounds so funny calling you Double Daddy.
I'm just going to start calling you Double.
Like if you go down in the comments, I just shared a tweet from Passwords Taco.
Like she or he shared the physical pins and it says three villain physical pins in 2025 were released after Pinnacle's pins in 2024.
They actually tagged you in it, which is really cool.
That person, I believe, has a couple of sets of those.
I also think that's incredible that Disney took the lead from that art.
Yeah, that's really cool.
Yeah, see, like, that's, is this the only one?
Have they done this before?
If Password Taco is on here, come spill the beans, so to speak.
I'd love for Taco to come on up here.
Taco gets me to spend too much money at the end of these marketplace events. I'd love for Taco to come on up here. Taco gets me to spend too much money
at the end of these marketplace events.
if everybody looks at it,
Yeah, the color splash is awesome.
So, yeah, that's fascinating.
So, I mean, you're starting to see it there
you know at least the physical
leading the way for I mean digital leading
since it doesn't look like they're coming up
I will say that I believe this is the only set
that is based on digital artwork
that went into physical after this.
I'm going to have to go on eBay and try to see if I can't
snatch up some of those pens before
By the way, Clint, we've all
heard you typing in the background. We know you're like trying
to sweep floors right now.
I'm looking. I keep on going back and forth.
I'm like, am I buying The Dragon?
I'm like, you know, Darth Maul. I kind of like that. But then Steph's like, I'm looking. I keep on going back and forth. I'm like, am I buying the Dragon? I'm like, Darth Maul. I kind of like that.
But then Steps is like, I'm not going to.
I almost bought a Ka today.
I had it in my cart to buy three times, and I backed off.
And I got to figure out where my priorities are.
Because I keep seeing things I like.
And then I'm like, I could have just, instead of buying those six things i could have bought a b or c yeah um
i keep on telling you globes i'm i'm a i'm a big fan of i'm like first limited edition release like
tied to such iconic ip i'm like globes globes globes i'm selling one more globe and then i'm
clutching the ones i have after that see you might regret telling that one globe you have uh steph you have your hand raised what's up
yeah a little fun fact about those pins that taco posted so on the top of the backer card there you
see it says walt disney company store so those are actually cast member exclusive pins you can't buy
them unless you're a cast member, which is pretty cool.
I mean, obviously they get out there in the resale market after that,
but you have to be a, not everybody has access to that.
You have to be a cast member.
That is some inside baseball right there from Steph.
They have exclusive pins.
Steph, you got to make sure to join us on these next few spaces
because it's a great insight into you know a part of that that market that i don't really
have any familiarity with yeah for sure i'll be here i was here on your last one but i was
in listener mode so i figured now i got some time i'll jump up and chat with you guys
100 thank you it's you. It's fascinating
When we're talking, Carson and I,
we chew each other's ear off. We're like, oh, they could
do this. They could be doing this. They could be doing this.
with all these ideas, but to see what they're actually
doing on the physical side,
It's great knowledge, so thank you for that.
Alright, I have to for that. All right.
Carson, we both have to buy something before the spaces.
I'm about to brush a four-year-old's teeth.
That's the pen I'm buying right now.
How is there not a pen where it's just teeth?
One day, maybe we'll get these faces so big that we get a,
we get exclusive tooth brushing a pen that comes up.
All right. Well, honestly, those faces have been a lot of fun.
A lot of people have been looking forward to it.
We've been seeing a ton of people sharing it in Discord
And the interaction this week was great
If we can just keep this momentum going
And continue to build the community
I think it's going to really serve
As this thing continues to grow
And we continue to educate people
Not sure if you guys are willing to do this next week
Sorry, Clint I'm not sure if guys are willing to do this next week sorry clint are you uh i'm
not sure if you're willing to do this next weekend um what i was going to suggest though is that we
maybe do one of these during a trade event because i think the finer points of trade need to be
discussed and they are not discussed nearly enough so i would love it if those who know how to trade
would get up and talk about
what works and what doesn't so that those who maybe are learning or don't know
how to trade could maybe get a leg up as a result.
that we definitely should do that.
We'll be in the discord and try to get a time that works for works for
trading event sounds like a ton of fun.
Thanks for having us guys.
IG11 just bought digital display.
Thank you everybody for coming out.
we'll try and schedule one for next week during the trading event.
We'll see y'all there. Later during the trading event. Awesome. Sounds good. We'll see you all there.
Have a great night and a week.
Are we saying may the force be with you again?
Are we going to continue to do that?
May the force be with you?
You can keep on saying it.
Everybody have a great weekend.
