Mic check, mic check.
Mic check, mic check.
Mic check, mic check.
Welcome, everybody.
Giving you a few moments before we get started, so let's put a little music in the background.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
So first off, we have 40 new scholars joining the DAO.
That was initiated by Sam, which was super, super awesome.
You know, our number one goal is to get more builders in the DAO, keep people active, you know, get new fresh blood, new perspectives.
There's a lot of new talent, you know, always coming up, you know, 2020 run in a bunch, 2023 run in a bunch.
So hopefully, you know, we have more fruitful DAO environments for everybody to meet, connect, and then make, you know, new projects glow.
And so with that, you know, with our new agenda, we also have a chain-based hackathon coming up, which is super, super exciting.
I know JF is in the audience here.
I know JF is in the audience here.
We're going to be working with Chainbase.
Just a quick overview.
This is a great opportunity for Web2 devs that are looking to get into Web3.
This is probably the perfect hackathon for you because it's pretty much API-based and a lot of awesome tools on there.
But before getting into too much detail, I would love to introduce JF in the speech.
Are you available, JF?
Go ahead and unmute your mic if you are.
Yeah, can everybody hear me?
You're good.
Yeah, perfect.
Hi, everyone.
I'm JF, and I'm the ecosystem lead of Chainbase.
So basically, Chainbase is building an open Web3 data infrastructure for accessing, organizing, and analyzing the blockchain data.
And we're primarily focused on the on-chain data space, and we have a bunch of API tools for people to use.
That means we not only have the RPC API, but also pre-defined Web3 APIs and also SQL API for customized usage.
So apart from these APIs, we also build a streaming data warehouse for people to directly sync the on-chain data to their private database for further utilization and analytics.
So it's more like an all-in-one data platform for Web3 devs, and we are going to kick off this awesome hackathon with developer Dell and with all the community members here.
And I hope everyone enjoy it.
It's in latest data October.
And so some highlights about this hackathon is, as Billy mentioned, it will be perfect for someone who's previously in Web2 and want to transition into Web3 because all our user interface, they're pretty straightforward for devs already working in the API space.
And also this hackathon is geared towards fresh ideas and focus on the projects that are actually targeting the masses.
So we really want to kind of highlight the innovative use cases, leveraging on-chain data, and also some of the use cases that with real-world functionalities.
So that's pretty much it.
Just to recap, we're going to be starting that on October 23rd.
We're going to have a killer workshop.
I've been talking to the team about it.
It's basically going to be your positions with the Telegram bot notifications.
So definitely a workshop you definitely want to check out.
I'm interested in myself to see how that works.
So looking forward.
Again, we're going to go a little bit aggressiveness.
We're looking at mentors coming in to help new people start for their first hackathon.
So any support we can give you and a request from the community to help you get started for this hackathon.
I'm listening.
I'm listening.
I'm listening to see how we can best serve you and get this moving.
So I think this is going to be a fun hackathon.
I'm really looking forward to see what's going to be built out.
I know there's going to be an interesting bounty pool with possible partner bounties coming up with Chainbase on there.
So I'm curious to see how that's going to play out, Kemp.
I'm not sure if you have any input on that for the partner bounties.
Yeah, so speaking of partners, we actually have like a bunch of developer community partners.
That's not only focused on the North American area, but also focused on like a greater China area and also India and Southeast Asia.
So basically it's like targeting global developers.
And apart from the developer community partners, we are also going to have some strategic partners who are going to provide additional tooling for the hackers.
And also we have like some awesome initiatives.
It's not about just the bounties.
So we have like over 5,000 USDT bounties.
They are all paid in cash, basically.
It's not like we are using tokens to award hackers.
It's all paid in USDT.
And also there will be like Chainbase swags.
For those who don't know our swags, you can check out our Twitter, which is also here, Chainbase HQ, for some previous pictures on our swags.
I bet you will love it because it's super like hacker focused and we even have like the local server number stickers and all that like duck debugging, the yellow duck debugging, the small toys and all this.
Very, very cool.
I'm looking forward to the swag for anybody that doesn't know me.
I get my fashion where I get my food at Costco.
So anything that spices it up is always welcome.
Go for it, Kip.
I saw your mic go off.
I was going to say pretty much the same thing, mate.
Me and JF have been speaking in the DMs about like other cool incentives for builders as well.
Swag's definitely one of them.
JF is thinking about discounted and pro accounts on Chainbase for hackers as well.
So there's going to be lots of like ancillary benefits and then to like JF and Billy's point, we have like price bounties and there's also like additional bounties that are kind of focused around like innovation and user experience.
So developer DAO has got lots of awesome, maybe like front end heavy builders.
So that's you and you're maybe not a Solidity degen hacker at the moment, like Chainbase hackers like the ideal opportunity to like build a really nice user focused app.
And then sort of the infrastructure problems are all solved by are all solved by Chainbase in the back end.
So hopefully it appeals to kind of lots of folks, as Billy said as well, that are like maybe earlier on their Web2 journey, really excited about the space and but maybe aren't like quite so deep into the technical smart contract side of Web3.
So that's just like one opportunity for new members and existing members.
And I'm going to roll it over to Kemp.
What a good segue into the Bouncy program launching.
Kemp, take it over.
Yeah, for sure, man.
So just thanks, Jeff, for coming and saying hi.
We're going to be announcing properly on all the details of the Hackathon on Monday.
So keep an eye out for that.
And as Billy said, like anyone who's new in the DAO or obviously existing members in the DAO as well, like this is a great place to kind of get going and sort of realize some value for the membership straight out the gate.
And then as Billy's just mentioned, we are rolling out a kind of a bounty program in the DAO.
So the bounties will cover writing and so writing for the developer DAO blog.
We'll cover like builder bounties.
So we're looking at bounties for starter kits and trying to think of other sort of coding bounties we can we can bring in.
And then also sort of community bounties as well.
So things like a weekly meme competition and sort of other things that we can dream up.
So that's going to be we'll push our announcement in the next few days as to where that's living in the server.
There's going to be a mixture of like ongoing code bounties.
So again, if you're new to the DAO or if you're existing, been here a member for a long time, been really easy low lift ways for folks to contribute, get involved and code in more governance.
But then maybe more exciting for everyone is we're going to really try and start having a good pipeline of stable coin bounties that are available in the DAO on an ongoing basis
and try and tie that into some of the educational stuff that we're we're doing with partners outside of hackathons as well.
So so hopefully in the future, the workflow will be between hackathons.
We have like educational workshops and off the back of those workshops, there's then bounties that folks can can consume.
We're kind of working out the details at the moment.
But yeah, really, really excited about that as trying to find as many opportunities as possible to kind of connect partners with with the community.
But like not just to deliver sort of material that they want you to learn, but to provide you with actual opportunity to kind of like earn and develop your skills and get paid as well.
So, yeah, super excited about that. We'll be rolling it out slowly.
And then hopefully it will sort of build and grow as we as we bring more partners into that into that into that journey.
I'll throw it back to you, Bill. Yeah, definitely. I mean, the number one thing is like, well, as new members come in, what is there to do?
So we are trying to lay it all out so that what you have, you can kind of have different paths to go build your resume, build opportunities, make connections.
And that's kind of the number one goal for the community on there.
Like, how does it benefit you and how does it benefit, you know, everybody else around you to like just build your stack as you're as you're building with developer now.
And then the next next part, actually, before I even get started, make sure to follow JF.
I can't even say her name like JF to make it simple.
And the chain based account just to make sure you're following up to date on any anything that's happening on there.
They're both in the in the space. So make sure to give them a follow just in case.
And as we segue into that, I would love to.
Of course, yeah, sorry to spell your name.
It's actually, but everyone's call me JF, you know.
Yeah, stick with JF guys.
And so segue into that, we're going to go into like really excited about this.
I'm pretty sure some of you have heard about it.
And some of you had, you know, messed with it already.
But let's talk about Ian.
Blue and Kemp are here on stage.
So take the way.
Cheers, man.
Hopefully, like maybe not some of our newer friends who are in the crowd,
but like hopefully lots of the Dow are aware of Eden and saw some of the announcements that went out last week.
But we're Eden was a project that was born in the Dow, maybe like nine months ago or something like that, maybe longer to solve a problem in the Dow.
And Blue and Tom have been away building and have come full back sort of full circle round back to the Dow to really try and help solve the problem of connecting the talent in the Dow with sort of opportunity that's available in Web3.
So we launched that last week and Blue is here to give a little update on kind of how that's gone.
Are you with us, Blue?
Yeah, yeah.
Nice, man.
So how did we get on last week?
And like, what was the response like from that kind of initial soft launch with the community?
Yeah, it was really exciting.
It's going really good right now.
Right now we are focusing mainly on talent.
So everyone in the Dow that is interested to find a position start joining us.
And there is over 50 members or 60 members at this point inside Eden.
And it seems that everyone really enjoys and they are sending us back pictures of the conversations that they have with Eden.
If I can give you a quick idea of how this feels like, basically, you are going to Eden, you are giving your CV, and then you are having basically a personalized discussion with Eden, that Eden AI is trying to deeply understand you, your skills, your goals, your aspirations, in order to later connect you to the best project that is coming to developer that.
Yeah, nice.
It's always been a problem, right?
That's where the idea first came from.
I think we're at like, what, like 60 or 70 odd fakes that have signed up now.
I'll try and pin something to the space for anyone who hasn't signed up.
And then the next step for us is like, Blue, myself, Manny, who I think is probably in the crowd somewhere, and Tom, who's the co-founder with Blue, are starting to build a lot of projects.
To build a kind of like a beta partner list and onboard them onto the platform.
So in the next couple of weeks, we'll be looking at releasing the first few jobs for people.
So keep an eye out for that.
And if you know anyone hiring, do introduce them to us.
There's going to be a referral fee of 50% of whatever they sign up, if they sign up on the first month.
So let us know.
But Blue, I think we're still kind of doing like a bit of a, we're calling it beta for a reason, right?
It's what we really want to make sure that we onboard this, get the feedback, turn it into something that's really valuable for the community and also obviously the partners that are hiring it as well.
And this is why it's really special like launching with developer now, because we can go like one step at a time.
We did a soft launch of the talent side right now and we went and now we are growing more and more.
And right now we have around, as you said, 60 to 70 people.
Hopefully in the next months we will go to 100 to 100 and it will grow from there.
And the same exact thing, it comes to finding the right partners to build that with.
This is the site basically of the jobs that right now we are introducing that one by one to the partners and they are testing that with us to see that this is, to see that they are able to get all the value and they are able to find the best person to work on their project.
Because it's a two sided place, one is on the job side and the other one is on the talent.
And right now, if you guys find anyone will be truly incredible, we'll come back to Kempster and Tom and Manny to evaluate if this is the best original partners with us to build the product with us, give us feedback and build this up to the place that we want this to be in the next weeks and months.
The too long didn't read one is if you are, if you've ever gone through a job in Web3 and went through the three month process of going back and forth and meetings and meetings and meetings, this is trying to fix that solution.
So if you're looking for a job or interested in the job, get yourself in the talent pool, teams have reached out to me and I'm putting them towards the better beta partners and I'm not going to mention them out there.
I'm not going to mention them out there, but they're pretty solid teams that have reached out like do I know any other developers that do this or do I know any project managers that do this.
So I'm trying to get them on the beta. So I'm sharing out to a few teams. So definitely just put yourself in there doesn't pass anything that takes about like 20 20 ish minutes to do the interview.
But it's pretty solid. I went through it. I like it. It looks good. It has a lot of potential. So it doesn't hurt to put yourself in there and get connected to a few people possibly.
So hopefully, you know, we take off on this and we solve the problem of waiting three months to hear a reply of sorry, you know, you weren't what we're looking for, right? Nobody likes to wait their time.
That being said, exciting news. We are now a community partner with East London that's happening at the end of this month.
And just kind of our plan to be community partners in general. I'm going to let Clem take that lead on that one too as I got started.
Yeah, chill man. FYI, you sound like you're underwater at the minute. I'm not sure if it's your mic.
So yeah, so through actually Ben at API3 who works with Billy, we were contacted with East London about becoming a community partner.
And I think more and more we're looking to hopefully kind of look outwards and get the developer DAO brand alongside and involved in kind of like all of the things that other communities are doing from hacks.
So we can try and A, build the brand, B, attract more membership into the DAO and just kind of grow the whole DAO for everyone.
So we're going to be doing it with East London. It's very low lift. There's no money transfer.
It's kind of like sharing recognition, supporting each other's communities and hoping to attract builders into the DAO.
And then we're also going to be looking at trying to do the reverse for developer DAO hackathons.
So JF again from Chainbase has been great in finding community partners that they're connected with to try and help elevate the hackathon that we're doing with them this month.
So we're going to try and form relationships with other communities in the industry as well so we can kind of bring them to our hackathons and we can go to go to their hackathons and kind of really try and cross pollinate between communities and just kind of increase the impact that we're all having together.
So that's really exciting. Yeah, hopefully we'll be doing a lot more of it in the in the near future.
Super awesome doing a mic check.
Yeah, that's much, much better, mate.
Okay, I'm switching, switching mic.
But yeah, I mean, developer DAO obviously is a network of developers.
We have the same circles, you see the same devs and in different locations.
So it just makes sense to cross these communities, trying to reach out to like build guild and have some fun collabs.
You know, there's a learn web three DAO, there's a quite a few people that are in meshed already, right?
We have multiple members in multiple locations.
So it just makes sense to to make this happen.
So we hope to see the DD logo like at every hackathon.
And, you know, and when people win the first place, they're they're wearing their DD logo brands.
And yeah, looking forward to that.
And then our next update is with agency.
I think Gordo's around.
Let me invite that speak.
I just pinged him now.
So hopefully he can come up.
If not, I'm going to all of them.
First past the post, man.
Let's see who comes up first while we do this awkward silence.
Yeah, on that community piece, like if anyone is members of other communities who they think would be called to like get closer to developer DAO and vibe with us or is organizing events themselves or knows folks that are organizing hacks.
Like we'd love to connect with them.
Some people might know to be fires fire starter.
I can't remember his handle.
But Tippi and the DAO like he's doing a really cool hack.
So the DAO is going to try and like lend some some support to him for doing that.
So there's anyone else who's involved in other communities or organizing events like like make it known and we'll try and make sure that everyone can support each other really well.
I have it.
Looks like Gordo's up.
Go for Gordo.
Can you hear me now?
I'm sorry.
Yeah, man.
I'm outside.
So yes, maybe you hear a little bit of noise.
So hi, everybody.
Basically, to summarize and I will give you the button in order to continue thoughts.
We've been like doing many consolidating efforts regarding what agency is about and it's going to be and which has been like basically trying to create the best amount of people that lives inside the community in order to provide professional services to other entities, organizations or even other jobs.
So in order to do so, we've done like basically organizing works and bring the pitches and reshaping the whole agency image side by side with the new developer DAO image that will be published in the next days.
Not so much more tuning because if you are looking forward to just work in these three specific areas like pro design, front of development or smart content engineering and you feel you can participate out of developer DAO's professional pool, please just go into the agency channel and fill the form that is already there.
Yeah, Gordo's been working hard this month to ship a new website for the DAO.
So I don't know if XYZ is in the crowd, but for anyone who doesn't know him, he's a, I won't say what I was going to say because it's rude, but he's a very hot designer and he's like 19.
He's from the Arweave ecosystem, I think he's a DAO member, but he's created a really nice new design for the DAO, for the brand of the website and Gordo's been shipping that, it's pretty much done.
So we'll probably tease that early next week.
And we're hoping to, there's some cool features on there around sort of displaying members on the website.
So we're going to be putting out a form sometime next week where we're asking for anyone who would like to have their PFP on the website.
And then if they've got a testimonial about being a member that they would like to get displayed on the website as well, you can let us know that and we'll make sure we get it on there.
And I think the, as well as the ask for like folks that are interested in contributing to projects, it's correct me if I'm wrong Gordo, but it might be a bit of a slow burn before there's work to, to support lots of people.
But we're really keen to build up that pool.
And if you, if you're someone who has a profile or happens to get approached about work a lot in terms of like building stuff like freelance work, but maybe you don't have the capacity to do it or the scope of it's too large.
We're going to be talking with the community about working out some kind of referral fee.
So like if you've got work that comes to you, but you don't have the capacity to do it, or maybe it's too much, you can refer it into agency and then either participate in the project or not, but there'll be like a referral fee.
And then obviously if you're working on the project anyway, payment for doing that too.
So yeah, keep an eye out for that.
And yeah, excited to kind of see that come to light over the next weeks and months.
Just as an FYI, this, these two initiatives were passed on governance, just in case you're playing catch up.
There was a couple of weeks ago on the agency passed and what a perfect segue to get into Academy and have a little update us on what happened.
Cool. I think that's the agency update.
Have we got, is Willovan with us?
Yeah. Hey guys.
Um, I am also like Gordo outside, thanks to a flat tire checking into my auto shop. Hopefully the wifi is good.
Um, so yeah, the big update from, um, last time around from Academy is that the, uh, the budget has gone through developer governance and is now approved.
So our team has a bit more confidence about, uh, what resources we have and what that sort of, uh, flow looks like.
And we've also been doing some, some more boring stuff on the, the outskirts of that.
Um, like rotating signers from the multi-sig and all that kind of fun business.
So, um, now that that's out of the way, we've got, uh, a bit of runway now, or like we are free to get heads down on the core products.
So, um, continuing, uh, from, uh, last town halls updates, uh, our big initiative has been a, a version two, um, big rebrand, big redesign that's underway.
And we've been, um, seeing how our Figma design like meets reality, finding all kinds of, um, fun little nuances that, uh, need to be updated.
Uh, once the idea meets contact with real people, but that's how design and development goes sometimes.
Um, so yeah, good progress there.
Um, I'm going to check my notes real quick to make sure I cover what I want.
Um, the, we're close to a couple, um, beta partner announcements.
So these are the first folks that will, um, be sponsoring content to go live on our site.
And we're, we've been very careful and thoughtful about how we approach this idea.
So minimal shill, uh, all value.
And we've got a, we spent a lot of our early days on Academy working on like the, the pedagogy design.
So we've got a, a certain sort of standard and guidelines that we expect every lesson to meet.
So, um, some like introductory content, some, um, checkpoints, some quizzes along the way and a final quiz and these sorts of things.
And then sort of the, uh, the expectations about the, the, the content itself within those, those bullet points.
So we've got our first beta partners, uh, nearly ready to roll and they are brave enough to like test out this whole process with us.
So for that, uh, we're grateful and look forward to some, um, some announcements in the hopefully very near future.
Um, if, if that describes, uh, a company that you work for or might be involved with, and you want to be in the next wave of beta partners, um, please do reach out.
You can hit me up in the Twitter DMS.
Um, it might be a fine starting point and I will route you to the right folks.
Um, so yeah, there's a version one out today.
It's got an NFT track, but we're, we're slowly adding more content to that while we work on the, uh, version two redesign.
Um, so we're looking to make our biggest splash when version two is ready to launch and we'll have, um, multiple tracks for folks to, to go down and do some learning.
Um, so it's all free open source stuff.
Um, so, um, after the, the, the redesign, the big version two release, um, one of the areas we're having the most fun brainstorming about is, uh, how we plug into other areas of the DAO.
So for example, we are looking at ways maybe to plug into mentorship.
So when you sign up to the platform, maybe you'll get an opportunity to become a mentee of the DAO to get a mentor.
Um, when you reach a certain sort of, uh,
when you've completed a certain amount of, uh, the fundamentals, we could encourage you to become a mentor and develop for DAO, get plugged into the community that way as well.
Um, you heard from Eden earlier.
So I think there's an awesome sort of crossover to happen there.
Like, um, once you've, uh, like learn some of the basics, we can give you a nudge to join the Oasis talent pool and find one of your first opportunities that way.
And on the other side, uh, Eden could sort of refer folks back to Academy if they need to shore up some, um, some skill areas.
And then, uh, similarly with the agency you just heard from, if, um, we've got folks, uh, that are crushing it on Academy.
Those could be front runners for, for referrals to agency to get to find their next opportunity that way.
So this, this sort of idea, like broadly, I think, um, you can learn solidity anywhere, but I think like Academy gets really interesting as a platform.
When we start to look at how it can plug into the rest of the DAO and surface opportunities for you that way, not just, uh, your next job, but also getting plugged into communities like socially that you really want to be a part of and help you, uh, skill up, level up and, uh, maybe work together, maybe find co-founders together and all these kinds of good things.
So trying to play the long, the long game here.
Um, finally, uh, if, uh, if you're interested in contributing to Academy, I think one of the ways we're going to scale it is, uh, for partners that want content on the site, uh, they have, they will have the option to write their own content or to, um, have a developer DAO member research and write their, their lesson for them.
And we will be sourcing, uh, or at least the idea for now, uh, is that we will be sourcing, um, those writers.
Uh, to, to fulfill the partner lessons, uh, from like proven content creators within the DAO.
So you heard from Kemp earlier about like the, the DAO blog writing bounties, stuff like that.
I think those are like the perfect entry point for you to build a reputation in the DAO and then, uh, eventually be considered for like some, some bigger, um, assignments.
So to speak from the Academy and, uh, yeah, I think, I think I might've covered it all there.
Um, anything hanging camp or Billy?
I think that's great, man.
Really, really good summary.
I love, I love that.
Like, um, picture of like join the DAO, um, learn on Academy, pick up some bounties and kind of like go on that journey.
And then eventually like, you kind of get these like larger opportunities, like writing a course for Academy in the future is hopefully like a pretty significantly well rewarded thing to do.
Um, I'm curious, Mark, I'll put you on the spot a little bit here, but, uh, I floated the idea a while back about like, um, some partners we can, we might be able to like go to, so like that have grant programs.
So like, I wonder if maybe in the future, there's an opportunity where like we have someone in the community who is, uh, pretty experienced using the graph.
Right. And then maybe we can work with that person to create like a, a grant proposal to the graph foundation to get payment, to build a course to, to put on Academy.
There's might be some, there's some cool ways to like play with how we get more partner content and more paid work in for members, um, through that route as well.
Um, yeah, it's a totally interesting avenue to explore for me.
Uh, if somebody is in that boat knows of a, um, a resource that might be interested in funding you to create less than content, then, uh, reach out and let's chat about it.
Um, there are obviously not well-defined paths for like how that all plays out right now, but lucky you, this is a DAO and web three and we figure out everything as we go along.
So that's, that's some, some pure DAO experience for you right there.
Amazing. Amazing. So as you can tell, we have like a lot of things going on and a few more initiatives that may take place soon.
Awesome, man. Yeah, cool. There's, there's some, some, exactly as you say, some jobs to figure out about how we work out and how we surface the opportunities.
But like feels like the, the vision has taken shape and like the dots are starting to join.
So yes, it's really exciting and huge props to folks in that team and in other teams that have kind of been quietly, um, building and moving things forward over what's been quite a long time in the DAO.
So kind of start to get these projects to these points. Like it's, it's quite exciting and actually lots more, more opportunities starts to become available for, for members to kind of really get meaningful awards, either building stuff in the DAO or being connected with opportunities for partners in the DAO.
Like it's all looking, we're looking quite fun, uh, quite fun and exciting. And I don't know if we've got, um, anything else to cover or if there's any questions from the audience. I'm actually not looking at the agenda bill, but I think we got through most of it.
We got through everything. We're going to open up the floor for any, any questions. Also, I'm just going to mention that I think quite a few of us, anyone does have any questions, like feel free to put your hands up and we can, we can bring you up on stage.
Quite a few of us might be in, um, Istanbul. So, you know, we'll probably open up a channel for that and, uh, see what's going on to meet some people that we've been talking to the whole time.
And I see Hassan out there, so I'm gonna go ahead and approve it.
We had a request from a Hassan from a little while ago. So we're bringing you up Hassan in case there's a question. Um, go for it.
He's so starstruck that he's, uh, silent, uh, while we're waiting on that. Um, one thing is I will be checking, uh, starter repos, uh, this weekend. So, uh, there are a few on there. So my apologies. I've been away on travel. Uh, yes, go ahead. Go ahead.
Go ahead, go ahead.
Hassan is a master of suspense as he fixes his mic. Uh, again, I was saying, uh, I'll be checking starter repos, uh, on there this weekend. So I apologize to those that have been slacking. I've been away on travel. And so now I've been playing catch up.
Obviously for those that don't know, Solidity, uh, uh, open Zeppelin's V5 came out and made some breaking changes. So I've been scrambling to fix a lot of repos and everything to get that all fixed and adjustment with, you know, push zero on the new Shanghai fork.
If I'm speaking alien, um, go ahead and reach me, reach out on VC five. So I could explain it all, but there were some breaking changes that happened this week. So I've been playing catch up. So this, uh, this weekend I'll be looking at the starter repos and everything.
And, um, so definitely hit me up and apologies for the delays on that. It comes to take the wheel.
Yeah. I was just going to say like, um, if we, if, if, if, if now's the time, like the call to action to, for what the starter kits thing is.
So like you can, you go to our GitHub, there's a repo called web free starter kits. So we're going to be trying to just build, build a resource base basically of available starter kits.
So, um, if you have a starter kit or, you know, have a good one, like, uh, feel free to open a PR against that repo.
And, um, yeah, we want to try and have a home in the space where there's like a good, good quality starter kits and sort of reference repos for people a to either start building stuff with or be just to use as like a reference when they're kind of building out their, their own projects.
And I think the intention bill is to write is to kind of like, let it grow naturally and see what comes in.
And then hopefully we can, um, uh, have some of the bounties that will be offered in the community, uh, could, uh, sort of work with that as well and start to, uh, sort of bring, uh, bring in bounties for folks to kind of build kits that end up on that, on that repo as well.
It's one of those things where it's like, I don't want to mess with the docs and read for two hours.
I want to be able to fork fork it and like play with it for a few hours and see if I like it instead of investing a lot of time.
Somebody has already been doing that already.
So let me play with this API.
Let me play with this framework.
Let me play with this.
And so, you know, if you use it a lot and that's your go-to for hackathon, we want to see it is pretty much it.
And I think Hassan is back.
So we're going to give him another shot.
Otherwise we're going to close up the space.
And I think he's having technical issues.
So we're just going to go ahead and recap the space.
So we have the, uh, chain-based hackathon coming up in just a couple of weeks.
Uh, we'll make our announcement this Monday, get you all prepped, get a workshop ready to go.
So again, if you're a web two developer looking to get into the web three space, I don't see a better opportunity, especially if you're just a new member or an existing member.
This one is a nice one to get started with, get your feet wet in the hackathon.
Don't be nervous.
We have support.
I'll be your point of contact.
If you're looking for team members, we'll probably have a team forming session very soon as well.
Uh, mentors and mentees that are existing, maybe doing a couple of teams as well.
So looking forward to see what's happening with that agency is going live.
So they are taking jobs.
Academy is going live with a V2.
The V1 exists.
The V2 is coming soon with some partners.
Eden is launched.
So if you're looking for jobs, uh, go ahead and sign up and get yourself in that talent pool.
And we had a successful scholars program.
We're going to be running it again.
So for those that missed, uh, we fly again in a few, in like a couple of weeks and we'll
be up and running again.
And that'll be ongoing as well.
I don't know if I missed anything else there, but Oh yeah.
And the community partners, we're trying to, you know, connect with more communities, more
hackathons, get involved with developer DAO, be more active in the space, have a little bit
more vision.
So if you know of anything, please share that with us.
We'd love to be able to chat and have opportunities.
And I think on that note, I think we are done.
I think temp is even gone.
So, um, Oh, I think there you are.
Can just any final words?
Uh, yeah, I was just going to say like, just reiterate, we'll be running the scholarship
program regularly.
Uh, if you're in the crowd and you missed out, like if you join our hackathons, you get
access, temporary access to the discord during the hackathon.
And then if you submit, you become a member that way as well.
So, um, uh, you can, you can wait for the next, uh, scholarship program, or if you're
a builder anyway, like feel free to join the hacks and you can come and join.
In the community straight away, hopefully maybe find a team.
And as long as you submit something, then, uh, we will, uh, we'll make sure that you're
rewarded with a membership too.
So yeah, excited to welcome more builders into the down.
Really excited to have so many different things sort of going on at the same time.
So I just want to ask one thing.
Like I want to start and as a devil from the basic, how can just developer dow help
me in that?
Can any of you answer that?
Because I've just bought this token of developer dow from a while and I'm not active in this,
discord, but now I'm looking forward to how can I start my devil career forward?
Earlier then I'm working in web two space and through media marketing and all that.
I have computer science background as well, but now I want to explore this devil side of
the web three.
So from where should I start?
Can any one of you guide that?
Yeah, I'll do the, the, the too long, didn't read is one, be active in developer dow, uh,
interact with people.
Cause we have a ton of dev rels.
I am actually a dev rel for API three.
We have quite a few members, uh, that are dev rels for a lot of the large SDKs, platforms
and chains.
So it'd be best to interact with them, see how they got their start, you know, read some of
the blog stories of how people got started in dev rel in the developer dow blog system.
Um, and just interact, right?
The, the biggest thing is your network is your net growth, right?
To be cliche.
And so as you get to know more and more developers in the space, you'll get to see more and more
opportunities come up with Eden as well.
So, you know, just get active.
That's the number one thing is now I know your name is on.
So I expect to see that in the Dow at some point and the voice channels and then DD Fridays.
So the more you are active, the more it will benefit you.
That, that is the too long, didn't read for this space for sure.
Okay, perfect.
That's great.
I'll be active for sure.
Yeah, of course.
They'll also, they'll also be like writing bounties and things like this, right?
So I couldn't agree more with Billy, like, um, quite a lot of those dev rels that are in
the Dow, if you speak to them, will probably attest to the Dow, like playing a not insignificant
role to helping them, helping them on that journey too.
Um, so great people to kind of network with and learn from, and then just hanging out with
other people and seeing these kind of opportunities to kind of like write and build in the Dow would
be, would be a good thing to try and, um, to try and, uh, jump on as well.
And, uh, yeah.
And then hopefully, um, through that, the Dow can kind of help members elevate their own
profile and, uh, and be able to secure opportunities in the future too.
Speaking of, um, elevating your profile, there's, there are channels in the, the Dow discord
for boosting your content.
So we strongly encourage building and learning in public.
So if you, you develop a regular cadence for, for doing that, you can share those links.
If you, for example, tweet them out, whatever you've learned or built that day.
And then a lot of times the Dow will give you a boost or members of the Dow will, will support
your content too.
Thinking as of now is that I should interact with the people who are already developed
there and connect with.
About the content and other stuff and the technical stuff.
And I'll share that and discord, but I'll be more active in discord from now on.
Glad to hear it.
And you know, again, the Dow is not the discord, but yeah.
And you know, again, the Dow is not the discord, but just interact with members.
This is how you meet and greet people more on a personal level.
Like I think the best or the most beneficial thing for me from developer doubt was meeting
so many different people from so many different walks of life.
It's literally how I learned front end.
In, in developer now.
So, I mean, that, that just speaks miles for me for, for someone that didn't really understand
like react or anything as well.
So, you know, having someone be able to like help you and guide you in certain aspects,
you know, when they have time, there's been a lot of people that have contributed to my
success in certain aspects.
So, you know, I wouldn't have got that if I wasn't active in developer doubt.
So on that note, on that positive note, we're going to go ahead and close out the space.
Thank you all for joining.
Thank you for coming.
As you see, we're quite busy, but thanks.
Thanks again for checking in and hope to see you around and see you on the chain base
Catch you guys later.
Peace and love.
