jm jm um hey everyone jm entonauts hello to our harbingers as well um let me know if all of you guys can hear me okay, just with a little emoji reaction.
If I don't see, then I'll just keep talking. So yeah, so it's just me today, but I really
appreciate you guys taking the time to come and join me on the call today. So we've had a really
exciting few months. So today we're going to take a step back and do like a full look back at
everything that's happened from December till now. that's obviously April 2025 so that includes all of our AMAs, roadmap reveals, new product features, campaign updates and a few
ecosystem articles maybe if you might have missed them so if you're new here don't worry we'll get
you caught up and yeah if there's as always if there's any questions after the call don't hesitate
So I think with December there was a lot of kind of like foundational concepts. We focused a lot
on education and thought leadership as well. So we published a few articles and kind of the DID
series that we have on the website.
So we had one article that was identity versus reputation in Web3.
So this article explained the difference between having a decentralized ID, like AntID,
and building a trustworthy reputation based on your actions in Web3.
So essentially, identity is your foundation.
You own it, it's portable, and it's yours alone.
But reputation is your track record. So how you interact, contribute and build trust across platforms.
So next, we had financial inclusion with DID and reputation.
So this was another article that explored how decentralized identity can unlock DeFi and financial tools, safer folks that don't have formal IDs or bank accounts.
So Ont ID would give users control over what they share.
And then we also spoke about Orange Protocol and how Orange builds trust through on-chain activity, not just how much crypto you hold.
So the big takeaway here is the idea to build tools for everyone, not just crypto native users.
And then we looked at decentralized identity and D-PIN and kind of is this like trustworthy infrastructure?
So there was kind of coverage on with more decentralized
infrastructure networks like energy grids and Wi-Fi there's a need to kind of stop spam bots
and civil attacks so that's kind of where Ont ID comes in with this decentralized infrastructure
needs for decentralized trust essentially. Then in January we kind of took a look back in January
at a lot of the community activities like one one of the big ones was the seventh anniversary of Ontology.
So January was a little bit more about celebrating the community.
Yeah, so we marked obviously our seventh birthday in late November.
So kind of rather than letting this milestone pass quietly, we brought the community together across multiple platforms.
And this was intentional for us to be active across multiple different quest platforms like we wanted people even if you'd never been involved
in ontology before to be able to get involved learn more about ontology and win rewards as well
so we wanted this to be creative and interactive um and that carried through into um through
january and we also had a bunch of different reward participations to educate new
users and to highlight the people who kind of make Ontology what it is. So we had a Zeli quest
board. So we launched obviously the Zeli campaign where users completed a bunch of different
ecosystem tasks, obviously to earn points and to climb the leadership board. We saw a lot of
activity here. So we wanted folks to explore Onto Wallet and learn more
about Onto ID and again to just provide more educational content. What a really interesting
thread competition. So I think this was the first thread competition we ran. So this was to ask the
community to share kind of what they liked most about Ontology, whether it was staking,
decentralized identity, maybe looking at some of our content around gaming use cases or campaign ideas.
So we saw a lot of creativity here
and that was really cool to see.
There was also the Wordle Challenge.
So this happens all the times,
but I've grouped them all together
into this one section of community initiatives.
But just because I think this is just such a great activity
that our Harbingers host.
So this was, yeah, the Wordle Challenge that's housed quite often.
So it's for kind of puzzle solvers and some of our keyboard warriors.
So it's a really interesting brain teaser as well.
And also just to highlight here as well, the kind of continuous support that we get from Harbingers with the Telegram discussions as well.
So these are all have always been long-time community contributors. They're always leading, you know, kind of discussions on topics
like Ontology's loyalty program, kind of how the ecosystem has evolved over the years. Yeah,
and how best to kind of find value today. So I think all of these conversations that I've grouped
together in one section, kind of celebrating the community, I think this kind of shows us how we were trying to bring together
some best insights that come straight from the community.
So we could see across like all of these events
that there was a few things that stood out.
There's continued energy, there's a lot of creativity
and there's a huge amount of dedication from the ontology community.
So I'm really thankful for that as well
and just wanted to give a little shout out to our harbingers within that section. So then February was really
interesting. This was a particularly busy month for me because we had a lot of ecosystem introductions.
So we looked at like real world use cases. We looked at reputation and infra expansion. So
we had a bunch of different AMAsas i think it was um a really interesting
month in terms of of education so um i'll kick off with um the arcreen ama um so these guys are
super interesting so this is like where you kind of imagine energy and web3 equals kind of green
btc so we kicked off the month by hosting our CREEN. So a project focused on bringing renewable
energy infrastructure into blockchain through D-PIN. So obviously decentralized physical
infrastructure networks. So they introduced us to the concept of green BTC. So this was a really
interesting call. There was a lot of information. I think we should probably have a follow-up call
with these folks, but it was really from my side, really fascinating.
So this was a way to offset Bitcoin's carbon footprint by linking to clean energy usage.
So with the key highlights, so users with solar panels can connect via smart meters and can earn ARK rewards for clean energy contributions.
smart meters and can earn arc rewards for clean energy contributions. So even if you don't own a
solar setup, you can participate using CSP remotes. So this will simulate clean energy support and
reward participants based on uptime and network behavior. So I know that that's a lot to take in.
So I'd recommend you guys to go back and listen to the chat. And also, if you have any questions,
I'm always happy to direct anybody to our screen.
But it was just really interesting to have this chat dedicated to kind of looking at how blockchain can support sustainability, not like around finance or gaming.
So it was interesting to see as well that they're facilitating folks like everyday people, you know, giving them the ability to contribute to this and then also earn from it.
So it's like this decentralized green energy economy.
It was really it was really interesting.
So also that month, we had a really big announcement from Orange.
So this was, yeah, the Orange Protocol AMA expanding to base.
So, yeah, so this was fantastic.
So obviously the expansion to base Coinbase is layer two chain built on the op stack.
So this move allows Orange now to bring kind of AI power on chain reputation systems to like a wider user base with lower gas fees.
So what we covered was I was really interested to find out from Dave, who's Orange CMO, why choose base?
I said to find out from Dave, who's Orange CMO, why choose base?
So he went into a lot of detail around all of the kind of positive things that they could bring.
So this included scalability, strong dev support, and also growing ecosystem of like SocialFi and DeFi platforms.
So Orange was able to connect with a bunch of other projects there as well.
So obviously, then we chatted about Orange's focus on privacy preserving,
modular reputation tools that can work across chains and also kind of touched on a few use cases.
And then there was, yeah, so these are the kind of ecosystem connections. So there was new
integrations with base native projects like GAMIC and GM Tribe. So that was really interesting to
learn a little bit more about reputation based rewards, governance, access control and kind of how these how the ecosystem is developing and then allowing you to kind of connect with other projects.
So it was cool. It was always great to kind of get an update from Orange.
It was a pretty big integration, so we were happy to see that.
And then we also talked about how Orange scoring models can better support DAO governance, for example, more trusted lending, and even
more fair NFT game drops.
Sorry, I just need to get a little bit of water when you're talking nonstop on these
calls. So then we had the Fireverse AI, AMA.
So this was all about AI Web3 for creators, right?
So it was a really good conversation with the team from Fireverse.
It's the platform at the kind of intersection, right, of AI decentralization and creative industries.
So this, a lot of what we spoke about kind of focus
on music and film um so their approach is to use ai to like generate content or like assist creative
workflows so they want to use blockchain to protect creators rights and data ownership and
then they want to layer on gamification and a bunch of different rewards um they also have their
own point system so if you want to get involved,
you can go to Firebase AI
and check out what they have.
But I think they've allowed an option
for, say, folks like myself
that wouldn't be the most creative
but might want to try out their platform.
There's options for that.
And then there's a kind of a more,
I think, more difficult kind of layers to it. Say, if you are a little bit more, if you really want to kind of a more, I think, more difficult kind of layers to it.
Say if you are a little bit more, if you really want to kind of commit to utilizing Fireverse.
So it was really interesting to hear from the guys.
So some of the takeaways I would say, so Fireverse wants to empower, as I mentioned,
you have both individuals and enterprises with decentralized AI.
And then they're building tools that are AI native.
And also what they're attempting to do is obviously make it Web3 secure and accessible.
So it was a really cool outfit for creators,
communities and developers alike as well.
So then I also had a chance to meet the folks at MLP.
So this was all about like hardware meets Web3.
So this is a platform that brings blockchain into hardware through products like the MLP phone and also an AI investment advisor.
So the MLP phone or ML phone, sorry, ML phone was quite cool. Some of the key features here. So it's
built in decentralized entity tools. There's a lot of information about security, embedded wallet access,
also DAP-ready interface for seamless Web3 interactions.
So their AI investment advisor uses blockchain data
to deliver real-time financial insights and recommendations,
essentially bringing DeFi and AI and mobile kind of all together
Again, if you guys have any questions about what
I'm chatting about today I'd be happy to connect you with anybody from their teams as well.
We also spoke to Swanchain so we learned a little bit more about kind of the changes in
Swanchain and kind of what they're developing when it comes to AI focused blockchain on their
platform. I spoke to their CMO about decentralized compute resources, reducing the cost of AI training, also storage via multi-chain storage, and then also AI agent orchestration and ZK tools for private transactions.
So I believe that they're building kind of AI development ecosystem where providers are rewarded via UBI models and developers can access scalable tools without relying on big tech.
Now, I did speak to Swan Chain in December, but I just pulled them into our February section,
all about kind of ecosystem development, because there was a lot of consistencies within this that
I thought was really interesting to pull together and see kind of what our common themes were
across February or across kind of all these conversations I should say so I think
here's what connected all these projects from from what I've learned so we're looking at real
world application of blockchain and energy health AI and creative work also decentralized
infrastructure replacing centralized systems whether that's energy grids or creative studios
And also, I mean, come on, this is the narrative of the year, right?
But a strong push toward AI integration with projects like Fireverse, MLP, also Omnia,
which we chatted to in March, and then also Swan Chain, shaping kind of, I guess, everybody's calling it this new frontier, which always makes me think of Star Trek.
But anyway, it was really interesting.
But anyway, it was really interesting.
And, you know, it's kind of one of the best parts about what I get to do here at Ontology
is chatting to so many different projects and doing these introductory chats.
So, again, if anybody has any questions about what I'm talking about today,
don't hesitate to let me know.
Okay cool, so that brings us to March. so in march you know we had additional amas um we also looked a lot about roadmaps and infrastructure so i think like march was a little bit like
roadmap season for us um with a lot of content around vision and updates um so i'll just do a
quick recap of the ontology roadmap also my conversation with orange
um also with onto wallet too um and then also i didn't get i didn't go into it but um i'll give
you guys an overview of the omnia ama which we also had in march which was uh very cool as well
um okay great so so obviously i hope most of folks that are on the call today have seen the
ontology roadmap um i guess we're looking at this as like unifying identity, reputation, community and blockchain infrastructure. So yes, we revealed this
during kind of a bunch of different community calls, but one of the first ones we had was with
the team, which was really nice to see. So we came together to discuss the overall vision.
So we were talking about some of the kind of thought processes here. So kind of looking at like you controlling your own data, your identity and reputation are portable, and then you interact securely across multiple chains and platforms.
So obviously the priorities for 2025 include like privacy first tools, cross chain interoperability and real world adoption.
So one of the sections that's quite cool to introduce is the decentralized messaging,
which is IM. So we're introducing obviously this kind of next-gen communication protocol
for Ontology, obviously designed for Web3, but built into Ontology ecosystem and tied
to Ont ID. So our key features are end-to-end encryption, DID verified chats. So obviously
we're looking to avoid impersonators and bots, and then also cross-platform chats. So obviously we're looking to avoid impersonators and bots and then also cross
platform messaging. So to kind of look at like Telegram, Discord style, but decentralized and
also AI agents that can deliver real time kind of Web3 alerts and insights. And we touched on
some use cases, which I just think helps make things a little bit more understandable. So
looked at DAWs, identity verified discussions and voting, Web3 social, like spam free reputation
weighted conversations, gaming guilds as well.
So token gated across game coordination and then AI markets.
So AI agents like share insights securely via IM.
So yeah, IM would be obviously great if it could become the default Web3 communication
This kind of like secure, verified, real-time messenger
tailored for decentralized communities.
And then also another big section of the roadmap
was talking all about blockchain infrastructure enhancements.
So yes, obviously, as folks know,
Ontology is continuing to evolve the chain,
making it more scalable, interoperable, and developer-friendly.
So the key developments here are all about these
cross-chain bridges for ONT, ONG, and ST-ONT, and DEX integrations as well to improve liquidity and
accessibility, and then always looking at scalable low-cost transactions, right, so that this is
optimized for identity and reputation-based dApps. So why does this matter? Why are we talking about
all of this? But essentially, we're looking to enable users to move their assets freely across
more blockchains, unlocking new staking, trading and DeFi opportunities.
So we took a lot of time in discussing the final section of the roadmap which was these use cases.
So we wanted to make sure that this year was all about unifying kind of every section of
So obviously, you guys know we've got OntoWallet, we've got Orange, Ontology, EVM.
We wanted to make sure that everybody knows how to use every section and that we're all
So yeah, so it's not just about obviously building infrastructure or
like kind of build, we want to really be able to build these systems that folks can actually use.
So I'm going to just take a look at how identity and reputation can kind of
be used in real world, like in adoptions, sorry, real world adoptions. So we looked at health and
wellness. So the idea here is the potential that users can control their health data via ONT ID.
So what does this mean when we talk about health data, right?
So it means sharing fitness stats, sleep patterns or medical info privately.
Potentially use ONT a wallet for secure storage.
And then also potentially earn rewards by sharing data with researchers via ARN protocol.
So the biggest impact here would be data is no longer owned by big tech.
But it's stuff that you control. You can access this and then you can also get rewarded.
And then we also looked at Web3 Gaming. So yes, we discussed a lot about portable gaming identity
via ONTID, in-game assets stored securely in ONTID wallet, and then also again with reputation
scoring via Orange. So this is like this fair play kind of leaderboard ranking potentially.
And then players can carry progress and assets and reputation across to different games.
And then finally, we looked at AI-driven marketplaces because, I mean, yeah, I said this before and I say it every week.
This is such a strong narrative for 2025.
So AI agents need verifiable identity and reputation.
Ont ID validates agents and users.
And then Orange Protocol ensures trust through activity scoring. So Alto Wallet then would
handle storage and payments for AI generated content. Yeah, there's a lot in this roadmap,
so it's definitely going to be a busy time for the team. But essentially, we just wanted to ensure
that, as I mentioned to you,
that we're connecting every element of ontology, that your identity, your data, your assets,
and also your reputation. So what's next is obviously to launch and expand the IAM protocol,
improve cross-chain support and DEX liquidity, and then deep dive into some use cases around
health gaming and AI. So don't forget the core tech stack, right?
Or core stack for ontology, as I mentioned,
is Ont ID, Onto Wallet, Orange Protocol,
and then I am coming soon.
So this will be very exciting.
But I will say that one section
that we're going to be focusing on for use cases
We should have some interesting stuff
around gaming coming soon.
And then I spoke to William in Onto Wallet. We learned a little bit more about Onto Wallet's separate roadmap. So he went into a lot of detail around AI Smart Assistant. Also, how this is going
to be your kind of Web3 co-pilot, where it can help you understand tokens, explore dApps, and also stay safe from scams.
And then we learned a little bit more about enhanced security.
So smart contract analysis, token risk scores,
and then also streamed UX.
So any of these batch transfers, staking dashboards,
trending tokens, kind of all designed to make things easier and clearer.
And then again, yeah, so we chatted a little bit more
about kind of deeper DID and IM integration
and what this meant for Onto Wallet as well.
And then I had the chance to go through Orange Protocol's roadmap.
So Onto has a separate roadmap and so does Orange Protocol,
but they're also heavily involved in the overall Ontology roadmap.
So it's quite a lot to get through.
Any questions, don't hesitate to let me know.
So I chatted to Dave about this AI-powered reputation scoring
that evolves based on user behavior.
Also this multi-chain support, so Solana, Near,
and then some use cases from DeFi lending to DAO voting and gaming.
So it was really, really interesting.
And yeah, as I mentioned, it's
definitely going to be a busy year for the team. So as well as kind of chatting to our own team
about different roadmaps, we took some time to speak to the broader ecosystem as well and invited
some more folks to give some introductions. So with Gardarian, this was cool as well.
So these guys are focusing on bridging Web 2 and Web 3 with Fiat Ramps.
So I guess Gardarian could potentially look like another Fiat Ramps service,
but once we dug into details, it became very clear that they're trying to do things a little bit differently.
So here's what stood out from my experience in the call.
So they've got 1,000 plus supported cryptocurrencies. So obviously, this is a massive range. And then seamless fiat
to crypto and crypto to fiat conversions, all done. And their aim here is obviously to make it
minimal or to make it possible with minimal friction. And then all infrastructure is built
in-house. So they don't outsource, which kind of gives them more control over user experience and
integrations. And then also during the conversation, there was a strong focus on
compliance with tools in place to meet changing all these changing regulations without compromising
user experience. So most importantly for us, they officially support ONT and ONG, making it easier
for users around the world to onboard directly into the Ontology ecosystem, which is what this is all about.
So we touched on their roadmap as well.
So their plan is to have smoother user flows, stronger integration with partner ecosystems like Ontology,
and also more transparent transaction tracking and continued support for new regions and payment options.
So that was really interesting.
I'd never spoken to the guys before, so it was great to connect.
And then we also chatted to Eventory.
So this is all about, I guess, a platform on rethinking how gaming items can be stored,
used and shared across Web3 games.
So this is really interesting to kind of learn a little bit more about some pain points in gaming.
We also took a look at some cross game inventory assets
and did a little bit of a comparison there as well.
And then they gave us insight into what they were planning
for 2025, so a lot more about community quests,
some new features in wallet trading,
and then also looking to kind of grow
Also earlier in the year, we had some really cool community leadership updates.
Jeff Richards, I'm sure everybody knows, officially became Ontology's head of community.
So he generally attends a lot of AMAs, supports users and kind of all of our channels,
and also is a strong rep for us at all of these events for the years.
So I think, yes, I think this new role means that we'll be investing a lot more in community engagement.
So I'm really excited to kind of see how this evolves.
Then also to kick off April, we hosted an AMA with a team from Let's Exchange.
So hopefully you folks have seen them before, but it's a platform designed for effortless no-login crypto swaps and a growing partner in the Ontology ecosystem.
So we spoke about this UI first approach.
This is one of the biggest takeaways from the conversation.
Also, this mobile optimized interface, and they're also heavily focused on localization.
Then the platform routes each swap through
an internal aggregator creating
multiple liquidity providers at the best rate.
This is all done behind the scenes.
It was really interesting to find out everything that the guys are working on,
learn more about their roadmap,
and then also about the Ontology Let's Exchange campaign, which wrapped up.
But this was a really great campaign.
I hope you guys were able to get involved.
Users were able to easily swap ONT and ONG with just a few clicks.
No sign up, no KYC needed for crypto to crypto swaps.
And then also the campaign included special incentives and visibility for Ontology.
So we really appreciated that.
And I'm sure we're going to have a lot more campaigns with Let's Exchange in the future.
So just for a quick, I guess, ecosystem update, I wanted to share the most recent campaign that's being run by Orange.
So this is the Orange Humanity Score.
So this is just overview just so you guys can fully understand.
It's a decentralized digital credential providing or proving that you're a verified unique human
being. So it leverages blockchain tech verified credentials and on-chain activity data to provide
a trusted privacy preserving and tamper resistant proof of humanity. So that's a lot but keep
listening right. So some of the key benefits of minting
an orange humanity score, you get access to exclusive opportunities. So there's all these
special benefits, and then it's going to be NFT drops, token drops, and whitelist opportunities,
participate in high quality blockchain projects that require human verification,
also enhanced reputation and trust. So this allows you to
establish a reputable digital identity across applications and communities. Also allows you
to build trust quickly within Web3 ecosystems, proving that you're just an authentic human being.
Also civil resistance. This is something we chat about all the time. So in an effort to combat bots
and fake accounts effectively, this will ensure fairness and authenticity in decentralized governance and voting processes.
So also with this, we have privacy protection
to safeguard your personal data
and maintain full control over your identity,
choosing only what information you want to share.
And then we can leverage Orange Protocols, best preserving tech to
authenticate your humanity without revealing any sensitive information.
Also community engagement.
So I know this is something that they are working really hard on, but
gain increased credibility with decentralized communities,
incentivizing deeper connections and meaningful participation,
enable projects to reward real active users,
and then finally, composable digital identity.
So your humanity score acts as a composable credential
that seamlessly integrates across various blockchains,
applications, enhancing convenience and accessibility.
So this allows applications and community to, I guess,
just recognize and reward
your genuine participation without requiring you to kind of constantly repeat your identity
verification. So why mint? So this is the really big part of like this kind of a long-term campaign
that Dave's created. So minting your Orange Humanity score is simple, secure, and it's just
directly beneficial. So positions you as a genuine participant like as
I've mentioned all across Web3 ecosystems ensures your eligibility for high value rewards and
enhances your like online interactions and opportunities so overall you can just actively
contribute to creating fairer safer and more authentic decentralized communities so that's
minting your orange humanity score that campaign is active I believe it's a minting your Orange Humanities score. That
campaign is active. I believe it's a long-term kind of campaign so it will be active for quite
some time. Also a really interesting update from the Ontology community. So this directly relates
to our Harbingers I believe. So this is like an update from the Ontology Nigeria group. So to
support new users and strengthen local community,
they're now hosting onboarding lessons twice a week.
So every Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. ETC.
So yeah, it seems like these sessions are a great way
for newcomers to learn about Ontology,
ask questions and get started with tools
like Onto Wallet and Onto ID.
So this is really cool to see.
And then just one quick update from Onto Wallet.
to kind of a smarter way to grow your ONT, like whether you're just discovering Onto,
for example, or your dedicated community member, running your Ontology node is a pretty powerful
way to access or maximize your assets. So with Onto Wallet, staking is super, super straightforward,
secure and passive. So meaning you can earn ONG rewards essentially while you sleep.
So there's a really interesting tutorial that the guys have produced so go check it out if you're
ever curious about staking and then also I know I'm going a little bit over time today but
I guess I just wanted to yeah just take a quick a second to kind of do a quick recap so we've had a
lot of kind of ecosystem updates.
We're working on a few integrations in the background,
like using different services as well.
Obviously, the roadmap is there's a lot happening.
But I think kind of like the really important direction
for the ecosystem is all about this decentralized messaging.
Also cross-chain and DeFi infrastructure
and really heavily focusing on these real-world
use cases. Also, I'd love to remind everybody about the Ontonaut starter package. So essentially
what we're doing is like we're offering this kind of bundle to any folks that are new users
users of ontology right and this is something that we're using with a lot of our ecosystem partners
of Ontology, right? And this is something that we're using with a lot of our ecosystem partners.
so we're going to give six loyal nfts you can collect 10 and swap for 50 ong and then you've
got 50 ont plus 0.5 ong so this is just to get folks involved in staking so this is for 40 new
ont id holders selected every month so go create your Ont ID and you'll just be paid to do it.
And then guided onboarding.
So this is again where our Harbingers
are kind of coming in to do a great job,
but there's going to be full support
in very specific channels
with Ontology's Telegram and Discord community.
And I think if you're interested in Ont ID,
And there's only a few kind of steps to complete,
but they're all fully supported.
And I think it's, and you're just rewarded for all of it.
So I think it's a really interesting way to get involved
and also make sure that you're connecting with our Harbingers.
They're very friendly and they definitely will help you guys out.
So we went through quite a lot today.
I hope it wasn't too confusing, We'll help you guys out. So we went through quite a lot today.
I hope it wasn't too confusing,
but we looked at kind of our initial foundational concepts.
Then we looked at celebrating the community.
I mixed up some of the AMAs, but that's okay.
Then, you know, so we looked at all the AMAs that we've had kind of so far.
I think I missed a few, unfortunately,
but I'll throw them in next week.
I did another deep dive into the roadmap,
learned more about Orange and Onto Wallet.
And then, yeah, gave you guys a little bit of a reminder
around kind of the Orange Humanities score,
minting that, and then our OntoNet starter package.
Yeah, I appreciate everyone's time.
You know, I do try to wrap up on time.
respectful of that. So if you guys have any questions about anything I talk about during
the calls, let me know. I don't know what we have planned for next week. We may have someone join.
I might look to see if we can get Dave and Jeff on to chat about the roadmap again, or we might
have somebody new to the ecosystem that wants to come and introduce themselves again. So yeah,
as I said, thanks so much for your time.
And, yeah, let me know if you guys have any questions, but I appreciate it.
