Alright so guys welcome, David or Con. We'll be starting very soon of course. We're just going to be very short and
and you know, streets of the points session. So welcome everyone. Just
Alright so cool let's see we have a couple of a couple more people joining us in the space you're welcome yeah everyone is welcome definitely gaspwood what's up what's up how you doing
Yeah, all good, all good. Just to get everything sorted out my headset. I wouldn't connect my band for some reason. But I'm all good now. Alright, cool. Apex, Hyden, Hydener and...
It's like the first day of summer in Germany, so it's really good weather. Nice. It's nice to hear that. Of course, we still have a lot more equipment joining in and the species recorded, of course.
So just kickstart things right away with introduction. So I'm gonna state status wise off. I am Mr. Mack, you know, and Ambassador at Spanic Al's, which is a gaming project and I love to speak.
about gaming and the entire ecosystem. Someone also loves to connect with fellow gamers and creators within this space. This is the first of many more to come. I will be discussing about the Web 3 gaming ecosystem opportunities within and
Everything in between. So very excited to have everyone on this space very excited to have you guys on So yeah My co-host Dave I'm feeling like you just give us a brief introduction of you know who you are and your journey so far. So take care everyone
Yeah, it's good game as welcome everyone. I'm the winner, the content writer and also the copyrighter.
I started creating about Web 3 Gaming in December 2022. Actually, I was an honorary Web 3 Anticiest and I stumbled upon a YouTube video about
So with three creators talking about the integration of blockchain technology into gaming, I was fascinated and I decided to contribute. Yeah, because Web 3 already has given me freedom that
even the government didn't give me so I decided to contribute into web3 gaming by creating content so that's it. Oh alright, very something very native from your story right
there is the fact that you go into this space, Geo3 creator. So definitely that puts into perspective how much creators are necessary in this space. So let's have gaspodes, you know, a brief introduction and your journey so far in the web 3Gaming ecosystem.
Hi, yeah, gas boat to content mainly focusing around introducing new games to people by Twitter spaces podcasts on Spotify videos on YouTube Twitch TikTok that sort of thing just to
get new games out there in front of people, focus almost entirely on the games. Don't touch tokens and NFTs a great deal because I find games more interesting, but I can see the value in them. Started in space maybe 20 months ago at this point.
started with a little no game called Crypto Fight Club branching into Axie and then out into the wide world and doing all sorts of games. I also work as the marketing lead for a game called Sofrutics. So I get to see kind of at behind the scenes a little bit on developing a game as well.
nice nice nice thank you for that and Apex Apex please because you mean that's why you're journey so far who you are basically and then you journey so far in the space sure yes so similar to yes but
I'm also a content creator. I tend to randomly get into NFT space without any prior knowledge or crypto. And then eventually started to create content because I mean, Twitter is kind of like a LinkedIn over a three and it's
probably advisable to end up in a bad form and get to know some people. So the dad eventually decided a K-game in his country called Nech because
I'm a big game on myself and I kind of like the use case of gaming and the 3M blockchain makes more sense to me anyways. So that was a nice fit and yeah I think
I focused on gaming probably like October and November last year and they have been creating content ever since and it's been doing really well.
Alright, cool. So thank you very much. Something that's very evident amongst many of us is how early, quite early we are on the journey, you know, except gas would of course. So I'm sure we have a lot to learn from you.
So once again, if you've got questions, we have the chat box down below. You could just drop in your question for our speakers and we'll be sure to ask them. You can also share the space so that other gamers and creators can, you know,
Join us because definitely gaming is then give me kind of quite addictive, you know, and it's a new brainer to Have fun and in more way that are being the creepiest space regardless All right, so I like to actually guys though. What's or how would you explain what three game into a five-year
the buzzword web 3gaming, some people call it blockchain gaming, NFT gaming or everything is bought. What can we like? How would you explain this? So if I fear it, I just met and it's enthusiastic about this. What was the idea about this?
I think we're not going to need to. So I'm going to take a quite serious answer and then a joke answer. Personally, I think that maybe not the five-year-olds, they're a little bit young still. But the 12 through to 16, 17-year-olds, we won't have to explain what Web 3 Gaming is.
it will just be another technology behind gaming that they will grow up with and they won't see any difficulties with it at all. I think there won't be any idea of onboarding them. They will just pick up games, some of them will have web3 capabilities behind them and some of them won't. And to them that
be a thing. Right now we're not quite there so there's a lot of excitement and a lot of people focusing on the back end tech to differentiate these games from traditional games. I see the need in doing that because right now if you didn't have the caveats for a lot of them of it being
a Web 3 game, it would get drowned out by nearly every indie traditional game, just from a standard point of view. We are starting to see other games get better, so that will change slightly. In terms of actually the concept to a five-year-old, it would be more
I would try and focus on use cases. I think it's quite hard to do a broad one that covers all genres because there's so many applications that we're seeing. Right now we haven't particularly seen any Web 3 games that the blockchain creates a new gaming mechanic. It tends to be
more a new way of accounting for things. So for example, your achievements are on chain, so now someone can verify that you actually got that achievement when you got that achievement. You haven't just bought the sword that you're showing off to people with, so kind of proof of flex in there. Alternatively, you've got the games that are fully
on chain where every transaction is recorded and you can go and have a look and check those out. So I've been playing one recently that does that and I find it really interesting that they've made it really accessible for me to go and see exactly what everyone has done recently. So that gives kind of a accountancy to the gaming which
isn't fun, buzzword, but it means that you can kind of understand that what everyone has done has been legitimate and hasn't been kind of any sort of sense of cheating, any sort of manipulation. And then the final thing is kind of the idea of where our skins, rare assets, but
previously, the big companies would tell us that something was rare. But you know, a really new, exactly how rare it was, whereas if it's on blockchain, you're able to know exactly how many of them are around at this time.
My short version would be, don't worry, it's not going to affect your gaming, it's just an accountancy thing in the background that's going to be quite useful if you want to go down that rabbit hole. It would be my description to the five-year-old. All right, so basically I agree on the five-year-old.
agree with that. And I think that's what makes it exciting. So, Epic's mind shipping if you know to us to, you know, explain in the all three games about. Sure. I think the explanation back guess was really good.
probably don't have to explain it because we just be there but I've read a cool explanation once it's probably a bit harsh on Web 3 gaming but it still has some truth to it which was basically like
Imagine you want to adopt a puppy and you go to the vet and you...
by adopting the paperworks, blah, blah, blah, blah, and usually, you obviously
take it home and you have to pop your whole life where as long as the puppy lives and you can do whatever you want to do and that's kind of how good the three gaming is and the two gaming on the counterpart is
the puppy stays at the vet, you can only visit it, the vet closes on weekends and might close forever if they run out of funds or if I don't know, they're all not dies or whatever, so your puppy is locked after that. So that's kind of like the difference between up to game up to gaming, obviously
it's a bit harsh because you can usually play the games all the time and games just don't just shut down but it does happen and it is one of the things which you go through gaming is trying to improve especially to ownership part. It was one explanation like on the knowledge I think was kind of cool.
I thought my answer was very random, but you have a random me Apex. I've read that it was like a coin desk report or something. It was a serious news web media website and I thought I liked it. I think I shared it until the day before.
Cool guys. So I mean, I'm taking a game in traditional gaming literally should be the same in terms of the experience. But then the extra layer that we're putting brings along to the game makes it very exciting.
I've got this question here. Why are thoughts on actually bringing gamers from their Web2 game into Web3 games? Why I asked this is because I saw a recent report from I think CoinGecko where there were like the biggest
most mainstream game on Web 3. In terms of the daily active users and monthly active users, it was about 1.3% roughly around that of a very popular Web 2 game. So that shows that there is a lot of work, a very big discrepancy. I mean, yes, we are still in the LSDG
were working towards that future whereby literally all games, or literally a lot of gamers appreciate Web 3 games. So I like to know your thoughts on how we can actually get these gamers to actually see Web 3 games, get them to play them, get them to stay on the game and just your general thoughts on that.
I'll let you go first this time I think. I think. Yeah, that's what you can do. I think.
The preaching, the teaching, the game is, I mean, in the end it always comes down to the game. It's kind of really hard to explain it to them because I think
They don't care enough to kind of preach them to earth, you know, like if you give them the game they're currently playing and you give them the same game but with tradable assets or ownership or whatever.
Many people won't care enough to even like, don't know the second game and play the same game because it's just inconvenient. They will always stick to the game they're coming.
playing, especially these kind of like hybrid casual players who are not that deep into like spending loads and loads of money into games.
So I think it will really come down to
If there's a game which is really successful and people play it and then they realize Oh, I got this lucky drop and I kept selling for $10 on a marketplace in the app that's kind of cool But that's not every game after because every game has some kind of collectible now
days. I think then these people might understand or see okay this is actually kind of cooler than the games I used to play and then we'll see more and more games be successful, more and more games adapt that kind of way of the
developing a game and building a 3gm and a 2gm and then that's probably the way people are getting on board it playing that's kind of a boring answer but yeah it's just have a cool game that is still obvious
Okay, so once I agree with you that you know having a very cool game is very necessary I mean we could talk about that in a different space, you know with build-in stuff I was come from the angle of you know creatures and how you can actually like have these guys on
What needs to be done? What can be done more? You know, so actually bring these games to traditional gamers. Just like Gus would say in his introduction, he is focused right
to actually bring these games to the mainstream. So just wire thoughts on that side of things in terms of using creators as a vehicle to actually like showcase more games to traditional game lives and
you know, having them on board. Yes, the side of the games and the quality of the games is a factor, but yeah, on the side of the creatures, that's also another factor. So I like us to actually explore that it needs to be more...
No, I think I'll just finalise off what Apex was saying there that I think what's going to do it game wise is going to be my world games. I think they're going to be a massive drawing. I think, as mentioned, the majority of players won't care about the Web 3 angle, but it'll be the same as how the majority of players
don't spend any money in a free-to-play game. You are making your money off the 5-10% so having good mobile games is something that will help bring people in. And that's what we're seeing now. I've got three or four on my phone now which have played quite regularly. So I've just been playing the new road nation which's getting released tomorrow playing
the favourable test which was really good and I kept wanting to log back in. I don't know if I'm a friend, but there's a huge list of mobile games I've got on my phone now but actually do play and in terms of content creator how we can bring more people into it. It's the use of just gameplay, really.
having a personal account of what a game is like is kind of the usual thing within Web 2, traditional gaming for selling games that because I'm a creator, I like this game, I tell you I like this game, you believe me, you come in like this game. There is an aspect of that within the Web 3, but
because of the ridiculous amount of shilling that goes on within Web 3, I think the faith in a creator having an unbiased opinion is a lot lower than traditional games, so I think you get a lot more pull just from
the gamers funnel rather than articulate and it's fun kind of through words and with Tyna into my idea of mobile gaming being the favourite bit hitting video that hits the mobile gamers is that kind of key bit so whether you're doing it on TikTok whether you're doing it on
YouTube shorts, whether you're uploading short clips into Twitter. So you're attracting the mobile gamers and showing them the games on mobile, on their mobile, so it's kind of all in one place for them. I think that's a good way of tying it together. And then I think we're starting to see it more now as well.
that projects are realising that they can't just rely on creators putting out this video. They do quite well putting out their own videos on these accounts like AI Arena, another game not mobile but they do a lot of work on their TikTok at this point and then their TikTok links to their game site and then they're getting people in through.
through that way. So I think it's going to where people already are. So I've been on the Apple store, been on the Google store, going to TikTok YouTube where people are already looking at gaming content and then pulling them in that way rather than anything crazy about Web 3, to me,
Alright, yeah, thank you very much. And if I'm to be honest here, I think I actually picked something from this, you know, is the fact that, you know, projects actually begin to realize that they actually need to put out content, you know,
This could be user generated content or this could be content from within the team. And actually this opens up a whole new opportunity for creators that are looking to like work directly with this project.
I have a question from the audience, this is JRP. JRP, his question is, and I would also like to ask it as a personal question, why are your tips for open-coming content creators for the
in this space. I would like to think I'm an open-coming content creator as well. You know, your top tips for us, your experience. It picks if you like to go first. Top tips, well.
First tip of your trip is probably by trip to blue because that actually makes a significant difference nowadays. I didn't have it for like two weeks because I changed proper pictures of planet and then you have to re-write
verify them the text while and it makes a big difference in algorithm because you don't appear on the for you page and that's the main page people see when they are put together and if they are too lazy to click on the following that's really
down between the two.
Consistency was one of the main things which really helped me. I think in the beginning I just tried to have one or two tweets every day, have one or two thirds every week.
even though sometimes you might not feel as motivated to create content or to even be on Twitter at all. If you have this goal and you're able to complete and you're able to just sit down in the evening and conceptualize the tweet, or schedule it for the next day and you constantly do it.
then you just have to be a bit patient and you will get lucky originally and have a hot standing pause and an outstanding third video or whatever. And you will gain a lot of
Follows you will get it you will meet new people you'll be able to connect with other people people ask you for advice yourself and so on so yeah, just consistently posting not just
Okay, now I post a try in the video this week, then I go AFK for five days and maybe comment on some others and then I post something again, then you're hindering yourself. I think I just have this kind of consistency and activity. That's probably the best of us.
Okay, okay, so it's thank you very much. Actually easy to apply on page 10. So gas would your top your top tips for open comment content creators within work to give in. I think the first one will be to just give it a go and start doing it.
There's a lot of people who worry about getting it right before they even start. You don't know what's right, you don't know what the people are going to want to see. So just start putting content out. The second tip would be to decide why you're doing it because that will keep you focused as you're going through it.
My why is I want to cover as many games as I can show them to as many people as I can and just get to know people So I do things in a way that makes me more accessible to having to go on new games trying games out before they're even released
And I'm in the fourth position, I don't need to make the content. So if a game turns up, I don't want to do it. I won't touch the game at all. It might be a good game, it just isn't something that appeals to me and I just won't touch it. And then that's a good way of avoiding both.
now because back when I started I was struggling to fill my Twitter spaces with games and that was about I've been doing that now 43 weeks because there just wasn't enough games being released now I struggle to get through my to-do list on games to
play. So having an idea of that you can turn things away, understanding that you're not going to be able to cover everything. So pick what you want to cover. That will just improve your content as you go through it. And then the final bit would be to just ignore the numbers. So it is nice suddenly getting more following on Twitter.
It is nice to see what the impressions are like, it's nice to see people looking at your videos but sometimes you put stuff out that you really like doing and it gets no traction at all, doesn't think like anyone's interested. I've got whole videos which haven't even hit double digits of views on YouTube.
but I'll still put it out that same kind of video because it's information I kind of want to share. And I see there being value eventually when things come through. And then like Epex said, something might just catch. So one of my videos, the team really liked it.
So they start sharing it as part of the onboarding tools. So anyone who's new to that game, they share that video. And in that video is probably about four months old at this point. And it still keeps getting about 200 views a week, 300 views a week, which is really good for the kind of the amount of views I get on my other stuff.
So, working with the projects, making sure they have a useful video and also try not to be too time-constrained with it. It's quite good if these videos could be found later on and still makes sense. It's a little bit hard because all the games are now for us and they change quite a lot.
your video could be four weeks old or four months old and it's still going to be useful to someone who is looking at that again. That's probably the best but I'd say just do it and make sure you're enjoying it because it can get draining if you want to try and keep up if you're not enjoying it.
Alright, yeah, that's really makes sense, you know, just to show you this real model story here. So I, while I'm in school, because right now I'm actually in school, right, high institution, and I also treat on the side. So looking for something to
actually like keep me going whilst I'm doing none of this. I figured that Gimli was just like a new brainer right? So that's for me is like my wife, a seat as a lead to you know, escape the world and making content of a variety of all to talk about is what
was basically in a way for me. So yeah, thank you very much, Gasford. Thank you, APX for those tips. I'm very sure...creeters, other of the species, most of the picking, a clean-out soup, from those insights. So just
to wrap things up. What's your plan? Why are you planning for the next two months when it comes to the Web 3 gaming markets? As expected, to pick up again within that time frame. So what's your plan moving forward?
I think my first plan is to win the treasure cup. And I will. I'm actually kind of excited for that because they gave us exclusive access and I haven't used it even though I'm.
I'm always talking about the I arena and now I have to play like I think it's next week or something But yeah content wise I'm actually kind of unproductive the last few weeks I'm super lazy currently
(crunching)
Is that your the end of your say picks that you super lazily lazy?
Yeah, now I'm just super lazy, but I want to do more general content, but not only the only work to be gaming focused, but also having deeper to other stories. But yeah, come on.
I'm also just working on being a bit more active again and creating better content again because I'm so lazy kind of missing out lately.
Did I say get lazy? I want to be sure I actually had rights. Because I mean I look up to you to actually like you know, as someone I look up to, don't tell me get lazy. Anyways, thank you very much. So yeah, definitely, definitely, we've got to step up our game.
So, gas with how about you? What's your plan for the next dog months? I think I'll quickly just agree with a fix on the kind of lazy aspect. Not on, I'm not calling him lazy, but should do. I think personally I'm
very kind of stops and starts with when I'm creating so some days I'll release loads like in a week and then this week I've got about seven raw footages that I need to edit and I haven't released one onto YouTube in about two weeks but I'll probably smash all those through tonight and tomorrow
and get them out. So it's not so much lazy, it's more ready-and-yourself evenly. Otherwise you end up with stops and starts, which can be a bit odd. In terms of the next 12 months, so I'm going to continue doing my first look, introductions I do for video and streaming, continue doing my 60 second
intros because I really like that style, maybe refine a bit more, see if it can get a bit more interest. I'm very excited that my Tuesday gaming space that you came on a couple of weeks ago will be hitting 52 episodes in nine weeks. That'll just be a
three years I did take two weeks off. So I've been 54 weeks that I've been running the To a Space interview and games as they come up. And then I've just started a new podcast that was released today where I'm interviewing founders, I'm interviewing people who work in this community manages people who do in marketing with
in Web 3 just to get more of an idea of kind of what's happening behind the scenes, kind of the people who are making Web 3 gaming so that we can hear more about it, because I think that will help with some of the problems players have with projects that they don't really have realistic
expectations of what projects can achieve because they don't have any reference points so I'm kind of trying to introduce them more to people like that and then I've started doing a few more reviews now of games in written form for folks that are gaming so I'm going to keep trying to do a bit
more writing, not a big fan of writing, not as good as it prefer talking, but you know, writing has more longevity to it. So, it's got to get yourself into the habit of writing.
There's quite a lot. In case you don't know, Gaswell hosts a weekly call-in podcast, interviewing a couple of projects within the WIPE 3G and the next system. So you should want to drop in the following
I also apics, you know, chocolate as well, so stay updated with the journey. We're excited about this and, you know, excited, so you all are, you know, so I'm going from now. I can see a couple of creators, I see Blue Mods, I see Dog, you know, shout out to Dog.
you know shout out yellow pantashearls or you guys so just to wrap up this space because you want to keep it very short and sweet what would be your or would be a closing thought for gamers and creators across the space just closing thoughts
I'll just go with my tagline of when you're looking for games, look for ones that you enjoy, and then just leave it at that.
nice sharpness with epics, how by closing thoughts
I don't be an alpha though, but yeah closing thoughts. I think be patient a bit because games take time, whole industry take even more time so you might need some more months for more years.
until the 3gaming really takes off, but if you believe it will take off, you just stay here and use your time well and also be embracing. We always hate when people should talk on NFT, send us 3games,
it's all the scam and so on. But we need to kind of welcome them. We open to explain them basic principles and also get the feeling for the criticism because often it makes sense from their perspective because they don't know another
Thank you very much. Thank you to everyone for joining us tonight. Oh, it's nice. So thanks to everyone. Pleasin
So, I would say this is the first episode of this series. We intend to keep it short and sweet like this every week. Talking to founders, builders and the whole bunch across the space.
I'm excited for 3gaming. Personally, I'm working on my own content creation videos and stuff. I'm actually having to meet BlueModule and all of you guys. So, I'm expecting your DMs or wherever it is that we chat.
Let's chat and see you next week. Cheers and bye bye. Thanks for having us and go go out to your first place. I'm so sure. Yeah, congrats. Come on. And I see you in the evening. Bye bye.
