When I knew what I knew I bet you'd be on the waddle with everything that you call my uncle
When I know the place I'm out to believe that just all the fire should be cold
I know you say they love you
I should not give you that too, but I don't give you enough to go
What did I end up in the crisis and I thought it was better?
I wake up screaming from dreaming, one thing before watching you leave
And consume that time, I'm assuming for the last time
It's me, I'm the problem in me
It's time, everybody agrees
I'm scared of wrestling at the sun, but never in the mirror
It must be exhausting, always moving to know the answer
You're right, you're right, you're right
I feel like everybody else is a baby
And I'm a monster only
Too big to hang out, only searching toward your favorite city
Here's still the heart that never
Did you hear my covert narcissism?
Like this guy who fought you with, I played some kind of comedy
I wake up screaming from dreaming, one day I'll watch you leave
Who is hanging out, only searching for the last time
It's me, I'm the problem in me
I'm the problem in you
And I'm the problem in you
And I know everybody else is a baby
Never in the mirror
In the mirror
All right, all right, welcome everyone to another edition, post-event
of the Twitter Spaces by Outer Edge. My name is Daniel, and alongside me, I do have the
pleasure of being joined, as usual, by the NFTs and Zach Saker. How are you guys doing?
I'm sad, because you played Taylor Swift's song, and I just had to deal with her breakup
over the weekend, so I'm emotionally distraught.
Yeah, I'm sorry about that. How about you, Zach? How are you doing?
If you're... Just like every other space, we've got to start with Taylor Swift news.
Tell me more.
Definitely. All right, Zach, how are you doing?
I'm good. I hadn't heard the big news, apparently.
She's saving herself for her real boo, which is me. Holler at me, T-Swizzle.
I'm here for it.
I'm so out of the loop. I have no clue what you guys are talking about.
Tal, you joined the right discussion. You didn't know the topic of conversation was
going to be Taylor Swift's. We should have titled accordingly.
So where is she? At least get her ass out here.
Right? I don't know if she's been Web3 acclimated yet. I don't know if anybody's sunk their hooks
into the sweet IP of Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift wouldn't come into space right now because she's really heads down writing
a bunch of songs because she just broke up.
I don't know why you guys want her here.
The next album is going to be fire. Breakups are so good for musicians.
Guys, fun fact about Taylor. I literally had a ghost of Taylor Swift on my Spotify once.
It was just like I would be playing some normal music, whatever I was into, and then Taylor Swift
would all of a sudden just come on. Just come on. Just come on.
And I swear to you, I figured out what it was. It was one of my friends, and somehow her Bluetooth
speaker connected to my Spotify account. I don't know how, but it was like a ghost.
She just kept coming to me and coming to me and coming to me. She's very persistent.
That's how you get spins, my friend. The old my friend's Bluetooth. I see you. That's okay.
You don't need to be ashamed of your fondness of Taylor Swift.
How many times in a row? What's your max listen entire album loop for the last album?
How many times have you listened to it all the way through? It's about 45 minutes in length.
Yeah, obviously. That's like the bedtime ritual, right?
But yeah, no, it's really funny how we get addicted to certain personalities and latch on
to them, and we have to follow their every move. I think when the news hit, it was just
like speculation is in. It was like TMZ. It was like, damn, people caring this much about
your relationship status is comical at very least. But I was thinking after the Ticketmaster
thing that that was going to be a driving force for her because she was pissed that they got
gamed or bought it or whatever. It was the time.
Oh my God. My algorithm on any channel doesn't show anything related to Taylor Swift. I don't
know if it's good or bad, but I guess no clue.
It's like how far are you veering off of pop culture? Because like obviously big followership. But anyway, not one of the celebrities that we got at the Outer Edge, but we did get some really amazing celebrities, singer songwriters, all kinds of musicians and stuff at the Outer Edge.
So if you're just joining us, I was out with COVID for a week following. Not anybody's fault, but my own damn fault. Staying up on those vaccines or whatever, shaking hands, kissing babies and making sure I spread the good virus around.
But I'm back now. I'm rehabilitated. I'm back in the driver's seat. And I really, really did have a lot of fun. I didn't get sick until like the very, very end of the conference.
And just for those of you who are heading to New York, remember, bring some Purell with you and follow those safety tips. Stay hydrated. Get plenty of sleep. Don't imbibe too much. All good things.
But yeah, with that, maybe I want to tip it over to Zach and talk about a little bit. What was your favorite moment from Outer Edge this week? You were running around like crazy, but I'm sure you got into some interesting things.
Yeah. Oh, man. It's hard to pick one. There's so many amazing experiences. Like even right from the beginning, you know, the very first thing we did to kick off Outer Edge week was host a hackathon.
And that was a new segment for us. And it really brought together a lot of very hardworking and very inspired builders. So that was, you know, if I had to pick one, that's the first thing that comes to mind to me was the whole hackathon experience.
We had over 20 teams who completed projects and competed for a bunch of prizes, including several bounties and a $10,000 grand prize, which we got to give out on stage at the event. Yeah, that was definitely one of the highlights for me.
What about you, J-Mo? Actually, you want to introduce yourself too. We kind of like just jumped over and went straight into my favorite topic without introducing any of the guests.
I mean, listen, you know, first impressions stick. And if my first impression can be left in that, you know, I follow Taylor Swift dearly, I think, you know, that I don't think actually introducing myself could have a better, more strong impact than introducing myself via somebody with, you know, 240 million followers across all platforms all over the world.
So, but what's up guys? I'm J-Mo, a.k.a. Jameson Hill. I founded a project called Shells Orb last year. We recently partnered with OpenSea and we're the highest quality hand-drawn generative art project ever put on Ethereum.
I've got about eight artists that work for us full time to our animators and we're working on an animated series.
We just signed the Niece brothers who are co-executive producers of Umbrella Academy.
And so we'll be putting together some, some storytelling, you know, real nice storytelling stuff in the future coming up soon.
Hopefully as soon as that Los Angeles writer's strike disappears, all my L.A. guys in the room.
Anywho, so I had, I had a lot of fun at Outer Edge last week, two weeks ago, whatever it was.
I would definitely say highlight of my week was meeting Jack Butcher at his, he threw some little rager party in downtown.
And I found out that he also lives in Nashville and I got his phone number and I was like, you know, I don't know, kind of.
Cut a start.
You check that off your list?
I check that off my list.
Check that box.
Do we get to, do you guys say shell, yeah?
Is that, is that a thing?
Shells up.
Shells up is, is the word that the community came up with.
I didn't, I didn't pre-brand that or come up with that myself.
I won't take any credit.
I like shell, yeah, or I'm going to say shell, yeah.
Yeah, that's, that, that, that works.
Um, other than that, there was, um, a pretty cool OKX party on, I think like Thursday night
that I went to, which was, um, hopping with all of these like really crazy Bored Ape type
And I think there, there must've been like a hundred, like, like hundreds of Bored Apes
in the room.
Like everybody I talked to had like five or six.
It was, it was actually pretty wild.
I was like, whoa, you're, you're really rich.
Aren't you?
That Bored Ape, that Bored Ape show out, man.
It was, it was like split between there and Paris and like, I, I was catching like both
the media reels, like while perusing Twitter that week.
And it just was, uh, quite, quite impressive to see that, you know, some, some of the parties
were really still pulling a huge audience.
Dude, Paris, I had so much FOMO for.
It looked, it, it, I, what was it?
Um, it was the youth, I think that, that had like a pretty, pretty crazy looking party.
Um, we had the only force one, uh, out there.
Shout out to, uh, Star Lordy for putting together something pretty epic with some teasers and the
sad times had theirs.
There was like, there was a lot, there was a lot to intake and, you know, part of doing
these recaps is like, not everyone was able to be in all places at once.
So, um, hopefully you're getting your, your recap on this space.
And then for those of you heading to New York, you're able to, um, catch up on your FOMO
for those that weren't able to make LA, they can make it out there.
And, um, you know, we, we're, we're all about sharing the love and making sure the space
moves forward.
So thanks for everyone joining.
Yeah, Josh, go ahead.
And, uh, yeah, and the man, the man here himself, how are you feeling, Josh?
It was quite, quite the undertaking to do this.
And, uh, I think you, you pulled it off.
Well, we, we pulled it off, right.
It was a incredible effort by, um, some of the hardest working, most passionate folks,
um, I've ever, I've ever met in my life.
Um, so, um, you know, I just want to, you know, give a special thanks publicly to about the,
the 12 person core team that worked tirelessly for 10 months, um, and, you know, 70, 80, 90
hour weeks in the last few months leading up to this event.
Some of them are here on the spaces, um, Audrey and Ariel and Zach, but man, what, what an incredible
team to, to pull this off.
And I think, you know, I, I did enjoy myself at some of those side parties this year, which
to me meant that the, um, there weren't these crazy fires burning and people were just having
a great time.
Um, and, um, I think, you know, the highlight for me was, you know, we did some experiments
this year, a lot of experiments this year that, um, had not been done before at events and
had not been done by us.
So we didn't know what would be happened.
And I think, you know, the feedback has been those experiments worked and, you know, just
seeing experiments come to life is always gratifying.
Um, you know, a couple of those that I want to highlight is, um, having, you know, a co-created
NFT gallery at the core event, you know, thanks to, uh, Will, Whale Shark and his team.
And we had, I think over 20 different artists and featured and, um, it was, it was really
So Maria X coffee and we tried to do it using fencing structure and the fences stayed up
and it gave a really good vibe.
And then we also had these trusses set up for, um, eight different canvases for artists
to paint on.
And that was cool too.
Um, you know, Gabe Weiss and Manny and Warhodl and, uh, Zee Hovec and all, all sorts of artists
came out and did some live paintings, some beautiful, beautiful art.
Um, and I think that added such a cool vibe.
So that was cool to see, um, at the event, we had some utter edge activations, a startup alley
where, um, you know, folks that have trouble sponsoring events, right.
It gets expensive with normal ticket prices for sponsorship.
We had a program to really support the artists, support the startups.
And, you know, I think it added a much richer experience to, to the vendor area, um, to have
like all sorts of diversity.
Like we had crypto jeweler and, and, you know, he got on KTLA TV, which was so cool for our
industry to have like a visual leader, like, like that get on KTLA.
That was cool.
That was definitely a highlight seeing that come to life.
Um, of course, William Shatner turning 92 and the whole audience, like singing happy birthday
to him, um, that was really a special moment.
Um, as well as the other sort of major experiment that, um, I'm so proud of the team for is, uh,
community day and, and part of the, proud of the community for sort of getting behind this
concept of community day.
Thursday, we had events all over LA, um, from philanthropy to wellness, to art, um, to e-sports,
arts, right.
And, um, that was really cool.
And, you know, culminated by Paul Oakenfield coming back this year and doing a great set
at future factory with a drone, with like, you know, lighting on all four walls.
There was flamethrowers too.
I think I saw a giant robot with flamethrowers, but maybe I'm just crazy.
No, no, that is a true story.
And in fact, um, if we haven't posted yet, I think we're going to post the official after
Uh, we've been working on for several weeks.
Um, so that's going to get posted, um, you know, right now or as we speak.
So I, I'd love people to take a look at this after movie.
It's going to be a lot of fun.
Um, and another sort of thing that I really am excited for is we were able to, um, we're
able to record everything for the masses.
So at watch that outer edge dot lie, everyone globally can see all of the talks that they
might've missed because there are multiple cool talks going on at once.
Um, the fashion show that we're going to talk about with tall in a few minutes is on there.
It's going to be fun.
So you can go to watch that outer edge dot live and just with your email address, no
cost at all.
You can register and see over 70 pieces of content from outer edge.
And, um, uh, the, the content factory was churning.
I know that for a fact.
Um, well, you were, you were, you were living and breathing that because we also did the,
the, the outer edge and focus stage, man, where like the, you being the next Ryan Seacrest
were up there doing some great interviews and that was awesome too.
Um, um, um, Tal, I, I need to say next time, how do I get my ticket to the fashion show?
Like, how are you selecting who does the catwalk here?
How many pounds do I have to lose to, to, to fit?
We'll, we'll, we'll, we'll, we'll, we'll get into that.
It wasn't about that.
Everyone is welcome to the catwalk.
But listen, Josh, I have to tell you about the content piece.
This is genius, not less than genius.
I was in conferences that I was speaking literally on stage with the best people in the world.
Amazing conversations, zero videos, zero, you know, photography, like this is so silly.
I mean, I think that it's more important to have content director and someone to take
a content and capture the moments and have it displayed online.
And I don't mind having two people in the audience, but as long as someone is taking a
video and we can spread it to multiple, you know, 10 times more people after online.
So I think it was genius.
I, I, I literally spent so much time on conferences, speaking on so many stages and moderating
or, or just talking in panels and just talking in general and no one, like a lot of them just
not taking any picture, any videos.
It's just, I think it's, it's amazing step that you guys have done here.
We, we, we know, look, thank you, Tal.
And that means a lot too.
We, we know, um, everyone's time is so valuable and coming to LA, even if you live in LA, taking
time out of your day to get up on stage and to share your thought leadership with the world.
It's an important thing to capture those moments.
And we wanted to do that this year in a meaningful way.
So we have about 200 photographs that will be on the website soon, but also everything will
be there and this is high definition video.
So if you guys want to all take stills and share them with the world, all we ask is you
tag us and, um, you know, this is free content for everyone forever.
The other thing that I wanted to bring up around that is, um, because we had great thought
leaders, um, and we really tried hard to curate.
We did not have like one of those empty room talks at all.
The entire 60 plus conversations had an audience.
There was not sort of one of those talks with five people in the audience.
Um, for the most part, um, you know, there were, these were full talks, um, standing room
only in some cases.
And, and that was across the board, even when we had four concurrent sessions, we had full
So I think whatever we did there, it seemed to work well.
And we're going to try to, you know, continue on that, that type of effort.
But, um, I know we're a little over on time.
I wanted to highlight another thing that I'm particularly excited about, which is what we
did on the social impact side.
Uh, we brought in, um, a superstar, Ariel Caputo, who, um, I met in the social impact
world years ago.
And, you know, we had a conversation at a barbecue maybe six months ago about what she thought
was important in lacking the space.
And she said social impact.
And we heard her and, um, we tried to do our very best to incorporate social impact into
this event in a meaningful way.
And, um, you know, thanks to Ariel's hard work, we're able to do that.
So I'd love for her to highlight some of those things for those that weren't there and, you
know, for you all to know that social impact is something that we're going to continue to
double down on as a company, Ariel.
I love that.
I was just going to say that conversation we had was that we didn't want to just talk
about it on the stage, which as Josh said, there were some amazing conversations, but how
do we truly embed it into the conference in a way that hadn't really been done before?
And so we did a bunch of different initiatives trying to try, trying to target like three
main categories, youth, sustainability, and social impact.
And so one of the initiatives Tal will talk on, which was fascinating and it was so much
But, um, first one, we partnered with K12 crypto, which is a nonprofit teaching blockchain
history, gaming, e-sports, uh, to youth, to underprivileged youth.
So we partnered with them and did a youth summit all day on Wednesday.
And then the fashion show was Tuesday with Wynn Foundation and Tal will go into that one.
We partnered with DressX after learning about, uh, fashion waste and how much fashion is created
just for a photo opportunity.
And so loved what they were doing.
They created a dope bomber that all of our ticket holders got to have.
And then we partnered with Live Out Live, which is another nonprofit that gives underrepresented
youth the opportunity to learn and experience live events.
So they got to volunteer.
So if they volunteered for the day, they got to attend the second day for free.
Um, and then we partnered with Metacarbon, who gifted everyone seedlings for tree planting
in Columbia.
And then another fun initiative was with Fund the Planet, which, um, does rainforest preservation
And then there was all of the, it's like one of the conversations we had was how do we bring
visibility to these organizations or web theory projects that are small, but doing it right.
And we were able to create them as a community partner.
So by doing a exchange of services, giving them a platform on our website, on the newsletter,
visibility at the event, then we could give them, or they helped grow their visibility
and we gifted all of their founders a ticket to attend the event so that they could network
and continue to grow.
So those are just some of the few initiatives that we, we created because our goal was how can
we achieve better together.
So it was a lot of fun.
Thank you for the opportunity, Josh.
There's one more thing you mentioned, which are, or didn't mention, but, but it's been
sort of something which is diversity and inclusivity in the space and something we focused on.
Tal, if no, no pressure, I'm going to put you on the spot.
If you, if you could sort of wave a magic wand and sort of say, what would be the minimum
percentage of women that you would want as leaders and speakers at a conference, recognizing
that it's about qualifications and expertise, not some kind of quota, and that our industry
is about 10% women, what would you say would be a good goal?
56%, at least.
I mean, you know, the more the merrier.
I, I'm, for me.
56%, I love that.
At least, at least.
I would say a hundred, like, I would say, you know what, 80%.
But I want to.
A little bit, a little bit of a bias, but, but I love where you're, where you're coming
I'm very optimistic.
So we didn't get there, we, we didn't get there yet, but we got 42%, which I think,
you know, that's four times the percentage of women in our industry.
And then we didn't do that by quota.
That just naturally happened.
And I'm very proud of our result there.
All right.
I was, I was like, that's just, just 420 for the culture.
I, you know, I think, I think that, you know, by what you're saying here, you know, I do
think that we see more and more women involved in blockchain.
At least I see in the recent years, probably.
And the more we have women, the more we have diverse of perspectives and skills in the, in
a field that is always male dominated.
And I, I do encourage every woman that is listening to us and is not sure about, you
know, blockchain, NFTs, maybe she's new to this, maybe she doesn't want to bring her
voice out for any reason at all.
I think we, you are needed.
Your voice is needed.
And we want to see and hear more women who are diving into the space.
I think Web3 is, is the future for this planet.
Decentralization is very important.
I don't think we're going to have a hundred percent.
Sorry, I've been instructed by my baby.
I have a baby boy here, 10 months running around my legs.
I apologize.
Um, so I don't think that decentralization is going to be the only thing that's going
to happen, but I do think that it's going to come and come more and more to this planet.
So I do think that we need more women for more diversity and more, um, you know, women
are bringing different voice.
They're more working with social issues, more bringing, we need more, more of the women to
be involved in order to develop new skills here, new things that you don't see here.
And I, I just, I just fighting for really bringing more women as much as I can to the
space and to, and to bring them into the front in the world in general.
Um, I think it's very important.
I think also, you know, we're doing a recap too.
Josh, just when, when do people start hitting you up about next year?
Cause it's, it's like, if you didn't see something that you wanted to see, uh, you know,
the first go, it's, it's really a question of raising your hand and being like, Hey, let's
Let's figure it out now.
And, and, you know, let's build time to plan, you know, the next go of it.
I, you know, um, I appreciate the question, Ben, and you know, um, our doors are open, you
know, year round, uh, we're, we're doing surveys, we're having conversations, we're
brainstorming, we're ideating.
It's always easier to implement big ideas earlier.
The hardest thing for us is when great ideas come at the last minute, um, because we're
all so busy and web three moves fast and we can't say yes, but our goal is to say yes
whenever possible and to start those conversations earlier.
Um, when it create, when it comes to creating a better experience for the community and, um,
you know, for partners, um, those are conversations we're having right now.
There will of course be speaker applications open up closer to the event and that will stay
a super competitive process.
We had thousands of applicants for, um, you know, a couple hundred spots and, and, you
know, that, that, that's sort of part of our framework is a highly curated speaker lineup,
but there's thousands of ways to co-create with us besides just speaking.
And that process is, is a year round process, but I want to jump into the fashion show a
little bit, um, because it was a really special part of the event.
And it's an example of co-creation.
Um, you know, we've known Tal for a really long time and she's really been a great leader
in the LA community and globally for web three and, um, touches so many different things with
the, her passion projects and things she's cares about.
And, um, you know, she came to us with an idea and we found a way to say yes.
And, and, and I wanted to sort of dive into what Tal's working on, um, a little bit more.
Um, and then we'll kind of go on and talk about all these dope side events and everything.
We've got Gabe Weiss in the audience and some other really great people that are doing
cool things in New York and we want to support those folks.
But, but first, um, Tal, tell us about the genesis of when, and, and this fashion show
idea and, and, you know, how you got all these crazy, like web three superstars to agree to,
uh, strut their stuff in the fashion show.
I want to hear all about it.
Thanks, Josh.
Um, first, thank you so much for, um, letting me do this.
I mean, it was a really last minute thing that somehow I pulled together, uh,
barely slept, barely did anything else, but we just worked on it for the three weeks,
uh, three and a half even.
And, um, I even shared a link here that you can, you can see a summarize in the pictures
of everyone that took part of it.
It was really magical, uh, event, uh, really magical moments for me and for a lot of people.
So a little bit about win, what it doesn't even mean.
Win means women in need.
And it's a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to, uh, support women, um, who are
in need, who have no financial support and that lives in war zone or facing daily battles.
And at win, I, I believe in empowering women by providing them financial resources and opportunities
to showcase their skills and talents.
And since the web three is a lot about arts and NFTs, you know, we talk a lot about with
artists and arts.
And so I took those components and I've built a marketplace for, um, for the women in need
who are able to now create art.
I'm working with charities from different places, like in Rwanda, um, Nigeria.
I have charities in, in, uh, in Ukraine on different places where I have women who have
really lost their ability to finance themselves and their families and are creating, um, art
and creating craft.
And they're able to sell it on the marketplace and get financial resources from that where
in anywhere else they live at, they're not able to do that.
So what I envisioned is I wanted to create a fashion show where I could print the art.
I also, by the way, have amazing artists.
And by the way, Gabe, uh, Gabe is one of them is here on the space and, and so many other
amazing artists that donated piece of art for the cause and everything that has been sold
going to the charities, uh, and to those ladies.
So it's very humble and beautiful to see.
And so the fashion show, basically the idea of it was to print the art on clothes and to
have, um, people walking on the stage with those clothes and to, to make a sale, like
to sell it during the event or more or less.
And the idea was really to bring the best thought leaders, the leaders of this space and, and
leaders of the world.
You know, it's people who are outside the web three as well, amazing human beings.
Um, and a lot of them are just friends, people that I'm, you know, you, you always say surround
yourself with people who lift you up, who you are looking up into and who are people you
really believe in and they believe in you.
And those are the people I am trying to surround myself all my life.
And those are the thought leaders that I have been walking on this stage.
It's literally people.
Just tell us, tell us one or two people that you were like really surprised you got a yes
from that, like, you know, crush, crush the stage.
Let's give people some specifics here.
You know, I, I saw some, I saw some people come through that I was like, wow, that's amazing.
Well, I wasn't surprised by anyone because it is an amazing cause and it is a, you know,
a fun show to do, but we had amazing people like Swan Seed and, and David Bianchi and we
had Ariel Caputo, which is for me the best.
And we had, um, Logic and we had, uh, Lee Lamar and Alisa and so many other people.
Spotty was there and, and, and Jesse.
And I mean, I can keep on going, but if you look at the link above here, you can see all
the lists, you can see all the people.
We have also videos of everything.
It's super amazing and exciting.
And they're literally, you know, you know, at the end of the event, when I went back stage,
someone came to me and he told me, Tal, today I realized what powers you have for making
those people walking on your stage because they wouldn't say yes to someone else.
And I, someone told me that it was very, like, I felt very, very, um, I felt the strength
and I feel that when you surround yourself with amazing people, that's where you're going
to, that's life, that's the life you're going to create to yourself.
Just an amazing life.
According to the people you surround yourself.
And I think they're all amazing, really all amazing, amazing.
They came for the cause for supporting everything.
And we also had fun.
A second before we went on stage, I told them, listen, guys, this is what you're going to
This is who is the first, second, third, you know, I made an order who is going first,
who is going second.
I also hosted it.
Somehow I multitasked everything, but I told them, listen, guys, you're going on stage,
you're going to have fun.
It's not like a fashion show.
You need to do faces back and forth, but you're going to go up.
You can dance.
You can take off your, your, your, you know, your top.
You can take off your hat.
You can do a selfie, do whatever you want.
Just have a blast.
And that's the most important thing.
I would have gone full stone face Balenciaga, just hard strut.
And, and, but, but, but take off your top tall did not mean this was a Janet Jackson Super
Bowl performance.
Just, uh, I want to make sure that the crowd understands that it was a PG performance.
It's not one of those, those fashion shows, but it was cool.
Um, I have some FOMO.
I could have been in the show.
I declined Gabe.
I think you and I need to be in the next fashion show that tall does.
What do you think?
Oh, I, I, look at it.
Gabe, Gabe, Gabe, Gabe, you have a thumb.
But, but, but, you know, there's more to life than being ridiculously good looking.
So I'll pass on the model.
Gabe, first of all, you're ridiculously good looking.
Second, you are definitely fit to this.
And the next one you'll see, you're going to be there.
That's it.
Well, you and Gabe both are in next time.
All right.
Sounds good.
I'm, I'm already training with my trainer three times a week, getting ready for this.
Um, but, uh, there will no be, there will not be additional hair in my head for this
fashion show.
I can, I can count on that.
There was such a diversity of people on the stage, so many colors, sizes, you know, it
doesn't matter.
It's, it's about the person and it's nothing about how you guys look like or what, you know,
what you're wearing.
It's about who you are and, and what you represent.
And that was the most important in this show.
And it was just wonderful to be surrounded by amazing thought leaders like Logic who just
jumped in and so many others.
It was, it was awesome.
And it was a great sort of way to end day one.
So basically we had Eric Calderon give a beautiful, you know, keynote on what he saw as, as the
future of the space.
And then a really cool panel with, um, Jack Butcher and Betty and Eric, um, you know, as
well as Jen Stark, um, you know, can't, can't, can't get a better group of folks together
than that.
And then, you know, the fashion show and it was, it really led into a lot of fun evening
activities.
And, um, you know, uh, please, I just asked the audience, like, you know, don't take the
three week sort of timeline as the goal.
We would love to do co-creation with you all, but, but ideally more time.
It's just because we had such a great flow with tall that we're able to pull that off
and tall, you know, the big question I have for you is what next?
How can people that are inspired by WIN get involved and, and help, um, all these amazing,
um, folks that you're trying to support?
So we just launched the marketplace, um, two weeks ago and it's very exciting.
Everyone's welcome to go to winweb3.io and, and, you know, either you can buy art, you
can donate art, you can do whatever you want.
You can take a look.
We're also improving it all the time.
So we're going to have women's stories on it.
We have, uh, if you guys know charities or women, uh, women charities or places where
women can create craft and we can sell it and support them.
We're super happy and open for that.
And, uh, and we all also, we're looking for someone to help us manage, uh, behind the scenes,
like, you know, someone to work with us, uh, like, uh, to do the socials and stuff.
So these are the two things that we're on it right now.
And, um, yeah, but besides that, just go to winweb3.io and you can check it out.
You can see the art, you can see the artists and it's, it literally, we're approving all
the time and it's going to look better and better.
It just, everything takes time because it's web three in bear market.
So we are working on whatever we can and it's, it's super, super exciting and, and, and
it's coming together.
Thanks, Josh.
Yeah, so, so everyone follow Wynne, follow Tal.
If you're inspired by what she's up to, which you should, um, you know, slide into her DMs
and get involved.
Let's continue this co-creation year round for this incredible cause.
And I know Tal, you're on the ground in New York.
Um, I'm on a red eye coming up in a few hours.
I haven't packed yet.
So, but that's fine because, uh, my flight's not until midnight and, uh, Audrey's going to
be joining me on the same flight and, uh, you know, we'll, we'll figure it out.
We'll get on the ground in the morning and hit the ground running and we're going to have
some fun because we've been working really hard.
We're going to make some new connections and go to some cool stuff.
We're going to have some fun.
And, and, you know, we know that New York is just, you know, a cornucopia of incredible
sort of people doing fun things all around the city.
And we brought together some of those folks today to talk about their side events.
And Audrey and our team, for those that don't know Audrey, haven't met her, um, she is just
on top of it when it comes to where the fun's at.
Um, there's no way to get a good event past Audrey.
So, uh, she's going to be joining me for this conversation as well.
Um, Audrey, how are you doing?
Hey, Hey, I am great.
I think I never thought I would say that, but I'm actually excited about the weather in
It's been freezing in LA and New York is actually going to be much warmer.
This is insane.
Never warming at its highest.
So bring your, bring your spring clothes and, and yeah, I didn't even check the forecast.
I'm like, how am I going to pack?
I got to go to New York and then Boston, then DC, then Austin.
But yeah, it's like four different climates, but yeah.
Just collect conference t-shirts, man.
Like just go around to the booths and collect conference t-shirts.
That's, there you go.
Um, Gabe, are you in New York yet, my friend, or are you on the way?
Um, bright and early in the morning for me.
So I've got a super early flight.
Nice, nice.
Or not so nice, but it is what it is.
I, I use it as a red eye.
I sleep pretty well on flight.
So what do you, what do you wear when you're going through the airport?
What, what kind of couture?
What's Gabe Weiss like airport couture?
I, I wear like Adidas, um, pants.
It's like, they're practically pajama pants.
And I got, the planes are always cold.
Air Force ones.
Like me, Gabe.
I'm always with my pajamas on planes.
T-shirt and then a jacket.
So pretty much what I wear normally except pants.
I upgrade to jeans when I'm out.
When I want to look real fancy.
Nice, nice.
So yeah, my go-to is my Viore pants.
Um, if you guys don't know Viore, Tim Ferriss, turn me on to these crazy cats and they have
the softest clothes to fall asleep on, on the plane.
So that's my go-to.
But when you get to New York, man, what's going on in your world?
Um, what kind of side events do we need to know about, uh, for all these crazy cats?
Who in the audience is going to be in New York?
Maybe just do like, um, I don't know what symbol should we use?
Thumbs up or, or raise your hand if you're coming to New York, if you're in New York.
Do the hand wave.
Do the hand wave.
So who's, who's going to be in New York?
Um, all right.
I see a lot of hands and, uh, maybe some new hands that after they hear about all these
side events, they're going to get on the red eye with us and get over there.
So Gabe, what do you have popping in New York?
Doing a little, uh, VIP shindig tomorrow at the Ned Nomad, which is owned by Soho House,
but it's kind of like, I think the more expensive version of Soho House, but they were nice enough
to give me, uh, a room to throw a little party tomorrow night.
And then Thursday night, I'm going to be doing a live painting at the Crypt Gallery at the
Dream Hotel downtown.
So it's like on 16th street.
Um, and I'm pretty, that one I think is more open to, to the public tomorrow.
Um, if you're trying to go just hop in my DMs, uh, I think there's maybe one or two spots
left, but you just said that to 800 people, VIP, super small room.
Well, I'm just saying I've got a couple of spaces left, so make this strong case for why
you shouldn't make it, but have, have some folks, uh, a couple more folks come, but yeah,
it should be pretty, uh, pretty fun.
And then painting and then hopping to probably lots and lots of events is always.
Just a goal with, with these things, saying hi to folks.
Yeah, that, that sounds, sounds fun, man.
And, uh, look forward to, uh, seeing you out there.
Um, any other side events that you're excited about that you wanted to share with folks?
And then we have some other folks coming up too.
I, I'm taking it a little less planned, I guess, than usual.
I think my calendar, uh, I, I've been working with Justin and he's really good about it, but
I know there's like an NFT now past event.
There's like, uh, uh, enter the Inclusiverse, uh, event happening on 89th South Street, New York.
Um, and I'm trying to think that probably going to stop by the Tezos NFT summit.
I've never done anything with Tezos, but been, been curious, been Tezos curious for a while.
So, uh, might be heading there.
That's appropriate.
Uh, for those that didn't realize, Gabe was on a panel with, um, you know, one of the team
members for Wheel of Shark talking about, you know, crossing over chains and, and Gabe, you
are not chain, uh, chain centered.
You are sort of, uh, chain neutral if, if anyone is.
So that's great.
He's not chained to the chain.
He's not chained.
He's off chain.
Gabe is off chain.
He's off the chain.
Save him, Logic.
Oh, Logic's not up here anymore.
Uh, no, he, he's down there though.
Logic, if Logic wants to come up, he can come up.
Um, absolutely.
Well, that's cool, man.
Um, thanks for.
Yeah, it should be, it should be a super good time, but I appreciate this.
And I mean, had an amazing time in New York.
Thank you for kind of allowing artists to paint live.
I think, I think, I think you, you, you meant LA.
I, where did I say?
You said New York, but you're, you're already through multiple events onto the next thing.
No, in LA, outer edge is phenomenal.
Hey, well, thanks for, thanks for being part of that co-creation.
Like, you know, you and Keith, you know, we, we talked way, way back, right.
About how do we make an event more artist centered and, you know, our conversations, what inspired
So thank you.
Um, cool, cool.
Um, so, um, Audrey, I think we have another special guest to highlight another side event.
Is that correct?
Such a special guest.
We have Jameson, which shows our Jameson.
We were talking about his event, um, together the other day.
It was right after outer edge, uh, at a dinner and he was just mentioning, you know, sometimes
you go to New York for networking, you go to New York for the free food, you go to New
York, but for him, it was all about the rager to party, to let loose.
And so I just wanted to introduce you, Jamie, and let it, tell us about your event.
Tell us about what you're up to in New York.
Yeah, absolutely.
So, um, you know, I've been a DJ for about 20 years.
I lived in New York City for 10 of those.
And, um, you know, one of the things that I, I, you know, I really liked was like a really
good party.
And in web three, I think we've done a really good job at, you know, these like networking
events and these, these daytime sort of activities.
But I definitely think we've fallen short sometimes on like that all night party that
just like, with like really freaking good music where, you know, us nerds can just like, kind
of like let loose and not really talk about JPEGs or, or anything and just kind of freaking
hang out and fuck.
And so I partnered with my buddies over at Hotel Chantel, um, my buddies who are also,
uh, you know, uh, big holders in the Nakamigos community and early access pass to throw, uh,
a dirty, sweaty house music dance party at Hotel Chantel in the Lower East Side, which
is like, you know, right on that little knuckle, uh, for people who are in Brooklyn or people
who are up in, uh, in, uh, like the Times Square area where a lot of the events have
been really easy to get to.
It's a, it's a three floor venue.
We'll have at minimum the ground floor and the bottom floor.
We rented out the whole place.
Um, we have three DJs, uh, Huda, myself and my buddy, Chris Graham, who actually taught
me to DJ within running Soho, uh, like brunch parties for, I don't know, 15 or so years.
So I'm really excited to kind of bring, you know, really good music to web three at an
event, the, the ground floor.
So this event's going to be pretty interesting because the ground floor will, will be that
space where you can chill out and you can have a conversation and you can, you know,
talk with, uh, your friends.
But when you go downstairs, you know, the music will be, uh, sufficiently loud and you, you
might have to whisper in your friends' ear if you want them to hear you, but just trying
to do something that's, uh, super cool.
We have a couple of, uh, artists, uh, who will be coming through and we have, we'll be
displaying their arts on, on, on art on screens.
Uh, my good friend, Olive Allen, who was one of the, uh, first, uh, crypto artists.
Also another good friend of mine, Shelby Stardust.
We partnered with, uh, Anon, with, uh, Anonymous Arts Academy.
Um, they did the blank checks, um, um, project, um, worked on AI, which is a new AI NFT that
will be coming out in a few weeks.
And I'm finding somebody, um, oh, oh, Chungo's also just joined, uh, joined, uh, the, the list
of people that we're partying with.
So, you know, trying to bring together multiple communities for something that kind of, you
know, touched my soul for, for most of my life.
And that was, you know, music and, and, uh, and, and a real good party with real good
music parties as a utility.
No, for real.
Like the ultimate utility dope.
It took me nine months to throw the first shells or party.
We, you know, we minted out last summer and it was just sort of because I wanted to make
sure when we did it, we did it right.
Um, and I, I, I think we're going to be, we're going to do it right this, this year.
We have, I think 250 RSVPs already.
Um, and there, there's, there's still room for more.
So if anybody hasn't, uh, RSVP, uh, you can get GA, um, tickets on, there's an event,
And do you have a link?
Do you want to pin a link?
We can, we can, let's throw it up.
Shell, yeah.
Yeah, baby.
Technology.
But yeah, anybody, anybody who's up here is definitely, uh, invited.
Tal, I hope to see you.
Josh, Audrey, um, the whole, the whole, the whole gang, we definitely have room.
It's a very big venue.
That's, that's great, man.
It sounds like a fun one.
Um, you know, it's a little easy or harder for us LA people to do this because it's like
the three hour time gap.
So, um, you know, this is kind of like a, an obstacle course that, that, but it's a challenge
and I'm ready for the challenge.
I appreciate that.
Josh, I, I think, I think you can, I think you can make it.
I want to see you on the dance floor until 3am closing the venue down, helping us carry
out lights and all those.
You can't make morning plans if you're going to do that.
It's easier.
I'm sorry.
It's easier.
What I'm getting my time zones confused.
Cause that's like midnight.
I can do that.
Like, uh, before I turn into a pumpkin.
All right.
Challenge accepted.
I like that.
All right.
Now, now you have to hold them to it.
Josh is already committed to be out till 3am partying all night.
You heard it here first.
Uh, not so much early morning meetings, but I'm going to try.
Um, so, so, um, that's great, man.
Um, Audrey, what else is on our agenda, um, that you think people should, should know about?
Let's, let's kind of, we talked about Tuesday a little bit.
Um, what, what's, what's, uh, what's, uh, uh,
Uh, what's popping on, uh, Wednesday?
I think so.
One of the things that we definitely don't want to miss is the ordinals take over.
They're putting together so many things in New York this, this month, uh, this week.
And it's coming on on Tuesday, on Wednesday, on Thursday, they have going to have like live
coverage of auctions, rare pay pay, uh, art that's going to be displayed.
All kinds of ordinals events this, this, um, this week.
So for me, definitely something to hit up.
Um, there's going to be some fun, uh, events with, uh, Bad Bitch Empire and Wow!
Uh, World of Women.
And they're going to have some brunches, some really female oriented event that I'm pretty
much excited about.
Um, there is obviously Women Web 3 ecosystem, and that's something that I'm excited to join.
Um, and then, um, there's also going to be some events around, uh, the city to network, um, some
VC pitching, um, pitching, uh, competitions.
And yeah, we're, we're going to be there.
There is events around the, uh, around the, the Javis Center, um, that we're going to be
The Gods is throwing a party on, on Wednesday.
The Gods and Utes, they're pretty much everywhere this, this past couple months.
So, I'm excited about that.
I bet Shirley Lowe shows up.
That's a bet.
There's a cardinal party as well, on Wednesday night.
Logic, are you going to, uh, New York?
I am not going to New York this year, but I am going to Coast Instances this year.
I'm speaking there this year.
Logic, we don't hear you, man.
You can't hear me?
You can't hear me?
You can't hear me?
No, no, no, I, I, I, I can hear you.
I hear him.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, yeah, I am.
I'm all good.
Okay, sorry.
This tile got me blocked.
It was cool.
Are you, um, yeah, so we'll, we'll do another, uh, spaces about Consensus, uh, as well, if
there's any, like, we'll do another one right before Consensus and talk about that.
But, um, you know, Logic, you know, great to have you, man, at Outer Edge.
Um, you know, the, the panel that you were on was fire.
I was like, like, I almost, I was like, I was almost like in tears, not from like sadness
or happiness or happiness, just from the emotion that was vibrating from that conversation that
you guys had about integrity in the space and culture.
It was so beautiful.
Yeah, no, man.
Uh, you, you, I, for me, I think NFT LA this year was, was spot on.
Uh, a lot of the, the panels, I think a lot of people got a lot of value out of each and
every one.
And the one that I moderated and the one you're speaking of, uh, was a, uh, a super stacked,
uh, panel.
I learned a lot.
I gained a lot from both of those.
So shout out to you and the team, uh, for putting that together.
So anybody who showed up, I think, uh, we all can agree that, uh, we got, we, we definitely
resonated with NFT LA times a thousand this year, man.
It was, it was great and looking forward to more to come too.
Well, thanks, man.
And thanks for all the feedback and ideas.
Um, you know, we, we were able to create this new concept of outer edge, um, at the outer
edge together with the community.
And it was, it was great to work with you.
Um, so Thursday, you know, um, I just got a little alpha about, uh, uh, I'm going to,
I'm going to say it.
I don't know how to get anyone in and I don't know if it's even possible to get in, but sandbox
is having a party with, uh, Steve Aoki Thursday night.
So, um, keep, keep, keep that in mind and do your best to, to get in there, do what you
Um, and then there's another really cool event that we're going to be helping out with.
And, um, you know, uh, uh, uh, whoever's hosting, if you guys can please invite, uh, Maz, uh,
Mieman or, or daddy Maz on, on the stage.
He's going to tell us a little bit about one more, uh, side event that you guys aren't
going to want to miss.
And, in, um, in New York, these guys have been working really hard on, um, what's up?
Let's see.
Is Maz on stage?
All right.
Maz is here.
So, um, you know, these guys approached us to partner and things were a little crazy
with outer edge, but I had a great conversation this weekend about what you guys are cooking
up and Maz would love for you to share with everyone the details on, on your event and
in New York, looking forward to, uh, coming by and, um, bringing some friends.
Definitely.
Thank you so much for giving me this space, by the way.
And, uh, we are excited to host many of you guys over here.
So let me run down quickly.
We're doing a three day event, bringing, um, starting from art gallery from 3 PM goes
through three to six, seven o'clock, the art gallery.
Then it curates to some of the speakers and the artists who will talk about their projects.
And then we have a speaker panel from different VCs as well.
Then we turn into that into a light performance, live body art, live painting, a fashion show.
And then the night ends with all funds, DJs and live performances, right?
So every three days we have different things going on.
We are hosting Nakamegos first.
We were the first one to announce Nakamegos unofficial official first IRL event, uh, which
is on Thursday, all the Nakamegos holders around 6,000 of them have been airdropped their
event passes and it's a plus one.
And so if you guys want to start sweeping the floor for Nakamegos, go ahead, man.
It's open bar food, everything.
That's the, uh, the one I just pinned, right?
That's, that's the correct, uh, I just, I just, I just added something on the comment.
So that one is on a Wednesday.
That one is on the Wednesday.
Um, there's an event bright link as well for the people who are not the holders of
Nakamego or AKCB.
So on a Wednesday, we are hosting a kid called beast.
These guys will come show their, uh, work as well.
And then, uh, alpha pro, which is an exotic car rental company.
They are coming down as well.
So all three days we have packed, uh, events.
And then on Friday, we are doing a pitch event where we have VCs and Michael Turpin is going
to be one of the judges who is of course crypto godfather.
He has a hundred million dollar fund.
We are announcing a $50 million fund from fire chain.
It's a layer one blockchain.
So they will announce their $50 million fund in an event.
So guys, whoever have your, uh, ideas about your projects, please come down, pitch your
Uh, there's quite some fun that would be deployed in the next 12 to 18 months.
So everything is there.
Check out the link.
And, and, and, and, and Maz, like you said, we, I love it.
I love the plural we, because it's all about we in this space.
And, um, you got so excited.
You didn't even introduce who we is.
So, um, why don't you sort of just explain like the, the, the company behind, uh, this
So, uh, I represent create protocol.
I'm a global head investor within that company as well.
It's a no code solution platform for all the artists and creators.
They don't need to know about the technology.
They can focus on their artwork and with one single one to two clicks, you can mince your
artwork and we have a distribution channel and you can be distributed to multiple marketplaces
like OpenSea, Foundation, Rearable, uh, at the same time, you could be having your inventory
in multiple marketplaces.
So that's a summary of our one flagship product, um, which is creator console.
So you could check that out as well, creator console.com.
If you guys want to know more about the company.
Um, but yeah, our main focus right now is to bring as much community together, um, for
especially for NFT NYC.
Yeah, that's great.
Thank you for the very soft, subtle shill.
Um, I just wanted people to just know who you are and, and what you're all about.
And, you know, I'm certainly aligned with the mission we are and look forward to moderating
one of your panels on Thursday for those that will come there.
And, um, why don't we do this?
Um, if you are in the audience and you want to come to this event, the next five people
that DM Outer Edge, um, and, uh, say they want to come, um, we'll get one of our passes.
So, uh, if you don't have a Nakamoto and you're not in the mood to sweep the floor or your floor,
you don't have a broom, no worries about that.
Uh, just DM us the next five people to DM Outer Edge will get a, uh, pass to this event.
Sound good?
Sounds good to me, guys, everybody.
And then, of course, this is an opportunity for you guys to showcase your work.
So if you guys are startups, please come prepared with your pitch decks or submit.
There should be a submission thing as well.
Um, and there's quite some funds that, that is getting deployed in the next 12 to 16 months.
So this is an opportunity for everyone.
Wow, what are spaces, Ben, Danny, Audrey, Ariel, Gabe, Tal, this was fun.
For Monday, uh, at that, uh, good attendance, good, good people, good discussion.
Uh, Zach, I, I, like, I feel like you've been hosting all these spaces and with Ben and I
kind of let you off the hook.
I don't know why I have all this energy today, man, but, um, yeah, uh, Zach, Zach is still
recuperating like me, uh, from this and hanging back, but, uh, we'll send you pictures of,
uh, New York.
All right.
I'll keep an eye out.
You won't have as much energy tomorrow, Josh, after the red eye.
Yeah, that is, that is true.
Um, on our end, guys, you know, we, we want to keep doing spaces.
There's a lot of conversations happening year round.
So, you know, keep hanging out with us for, for all this type of alpha and talking about
how the industry is evolving.
So we'll, we'll keep having conversations like this.
We're still trying to figure out our Zach battle rhythm.
This was a slightly off schedule one, but it made sense to do it on Monday.
Um, this, this go around, we have, uh, another space coming up in a few weeks with some, some
awesome folks from mythical games and world of women and scale.
So, um, that will be the week after this week.
So, um, keep, keep, uh, tabs on that.
And, um, you know, we're going to do other events year round.
So if you haven't already, um, please subscribe to our newsletter, you know, at outer edge dot
live and check out our podcast edge of NFT.
We just had, um, one of the founders of, of cool cats on the show.
Um, we, we just did a show today with Mocha verse that's going to air next Wednesday.
It's a really cool show.
If you're interested in learning about that ecosystem, what they're doing, I think is
really exciting and pioneering.
Um, and then, uh, as Audrey mentioned, there may be a, um, there may be a very special interview
happening live at NFT New York with the founding team of Taproot Wizards who may be getting
together for the first time ever all together and who may be doing their first ever interview
with edge of NFT.
So look forward to that one as well.
Yeah, that's going to be really exciting.
The ordinals are taking over New York is what I see.
Keep doing it.
Keep doing it.
Congest that, that Bitcoin blockchain, pump my bags, get those transaction fees up, prepare
for the happening, all those fun things.
Um, all right.
Well, I, I had, I had a really good time.
Uh, I think we're at the top of the hour.
Uh, Josh, was there anything else we wanted to cover off on or have we come to the conclusion
of our hour?
We, we have a, just one more sort of thing, guys, if, if you, if you, we're still working
out the glitches, but if you want to see all the talks from outer edge, go to watch.outteredge.live,
register with your email address.
And, um, whether or not you're going to New York, you know, um, you know, this is a great
alternative to Netflix.
Maybe you'll learn something.
Um, you know, that show beef was pretty creepy.
I binge watched that show.
Um, now it's all about checking out what's going on with outer edge.
And there was some real evergreen content from our event.
We really strive to put some thought leaders on stage, sharing things that can inspire all
of us in terms of what we create in the space for the years to come.
So, um, all this education should be free to everyone.
So go to watch.outteredge.live and, uh, register and check out all the content over 60 panels,
um, including, you know, all of our keynotes with Shatner, Tom Bilyeu talking about the future
You can check out all that content on our website.
That's it.
All right, guys.
Well, it's been a blast.
We'll see you at our next space.
Uh, keep your eyes out for those reminder posts.
Like Josh was saying, we've got some happening async, uh, leading into the, the next month.
So, uh, just kind of bear with us as we figure out what our next, uh, Twitter space cadence
is going to look like, but, uh, looking forward to hosting our next one.
Thank you guys.
Thank you so much for having us to have a good one.
Thank you guys.
Thanks guys.
See you later.
Have fun in New York.
