GM, can you guys hear me right now?
GM, GM, yes I can.
The request came up twice and I was like, what's going on?
I think this is also a case of Dan muting himself and then muting the music as well.
It's okay, Dan. We still love you.
Shall we begin, Dan? What do you think?
All right, Dan, it's not real.
Yeah, so it's not responsive.
Hey, it's okay, we're good, we're good. Hey, we have chipped me.
Yeah, let me add shift up.
GM, everyone.
Welcome to the Pajepenguins Asia Hangout number 52.
Go on, go on, finish it. What are we going to be doing today?
Today, we're going to be cuddling up with Luca and Shiv.
We have Shiv here and hopefully Luca doesn't have to come out today.
Yes, I'm hoping Luca doesn't appear today because the last time Luca came, we tanked the floor.
So I'm not saying there's a correlation.
Hey, don't blink me.
I'm not saying anything, but I do hope Luca is feeling better and he's okay to join us today.
But on stage, Bam, how about you introduce our guest tonight?
Yeah, sure. It's a very special night in Asia.
I guess it's like evening and afternoon somewhere else.
But we have Shiv here with us and Shiv is the Lil Pudgy's community manager.
Super, like, super happy to have a Lil up here, you know, like, hi Shiv, how you been?
Okay, that intro is like 10 times better than the simple soundboard. Thank you, Nate.
First of all, it's a pleasure and honor to be here. I think Pudgy Asia is definitely setting an example of how beautiful sub-community can be and how you guys are striving forward.
Every time I see you guys post, it just makes me like, wow, I need to get my ass from London to all the different amazing events that you guys are doing in Asia.
And it's incredible how much you guys have taken initiatives to push this vision and proliferate what we're doing forward.
So, you know, kudos to you guys. You guys are the real goats in this space.
Aw, thanks for the kind words, Shiv. Super glad to have you here.
Oh, but we have a really special speaker up here with us. Nick, Den, you guys want to take the stage?
All right, I'll take it. Luca, thank you for finally being able to join us. I'm sorry to hear that you were feeling unwell last week.
And first of all, how are you doing?
I'm doing great. How are you doing?
I think we're doing good. I think, you know, we're huddling strong. And, you know, recently we got a few new members joining our Asia gang trying to help us build Pudgy Asia.
So we got Bam Bam on the team as well. Bam, introduce yourself, not as Luca.
Hi, Luca. Please do not say the name Luca. Luca never existed. That is something that's in the past.
Hi, Luca. I'm Bam. I'm part of the Pudgy Thailand team. And these guys actually just accepted me to the Pudgy Asia Council.
Super happy to be here. Super happy to be contributing on the Asia side.
Well, Bam Bam, congratulations on joining the council and being a part of Pudgy Thailand.
I've actually been seeing you make some moves these last couple of weeks. So I think it's really exciting to finally get to meet you and thank you for all the hard work you do for the huddle.
You looked really great in the varsity jacket swag. And I got to send Pudgy Asia care package here shortly.
Den, you got to remind me. Den's not here. Den is there. Den, you got to remind me, you got to send a care package to Asia.
I got to send it to all regions. I think this should be a focus.
Yeah. You know what? I mean, like, Ben is killing it. She is one of the best mortals, you know, in the world probably.
And that is the best photographer, I have to say, you know. Yeah, you need to survive.
Thank you, guys. Thank you, guys. Well, Bam, do most of the work this day, man. I put her on all the stairs and she did so well. She did so well.
Oh, thanks, Nat. It's all the trust that you guys have in me, you know, like, if Nat didn't trust me to go up on that stage, that would have never happened. So thank you. Thank you for that.
And I'm going to make sure I come to Thailand next time I do my Asia World Tour, which we're going to plan here shortly.
So I look forward to meeting you soon, Bam Bam.
Oh, I can't wait for that. Yeah, we definitely are planning some stuff in Thailand right now.
We are talking with this co-working space that we hopefully can get something started together with the Pudgy Thailand Fam and True Digital Park, which is like a co-working space startup kind of mall.
And yeah, hopefully by the time you get here, that is done and completed.
In the past few to the space, we asked usually we asked the speakers some questions about the upcoming Thailand Song Crown Waterfest.
Luca, before going to into something serious, you know, we'd like to ask you, like, we are basically planning a Pudgy Water Festival in Bangkok in April.
And that's basically during the new year, the new year of Thailand.
So I don't know, Shiv or Luca, are you guys available to come over?
I know that I am trying to get there before June.
I'm trying to hit everything at the same time, like I did last time, just because the flight to and from the east to the west is just incredibly hard, the 18, 20, 24 hours, depending on where I go.
I see it in a realm of possibility. I think we are doing like a complex con for Hong Kong, which was kind of what I was planning to book the trip around.
So let me check what that date is, then I'll kind of give you some insight as to what seems possible or not.
Amazing. And just for those who have not heard it yet, Pudgy Song Crown will be from April the 13th to the 15th.
So, you know, plan your phase around there.
If you guys are planning to visit the Thai Huddle, that's when you should do it, because it's going to be a lot of fun.
On a side note, do fly over earlier, because if you arrive on the 13th, you and your luggages are going to get soaked.
And Luca, yeah, I don't know if you've heard of Pudgy Song Crown before, but I mean, sorry, got the Pudgy brand in my head.
I don't know if you heard about Song Crown before, but it's a giant water festival that encompasses the entire city, the entire country.
So it's something not to be missed. So if you can, come join us.
Give me a TLDR. What does this mean? Is it naturally just raining all the time? Is it like a water park and everyone's throwing water at themselves?
Give me a little bit of insight.
Bam or Nat, step up, come and help me explain what's happening in your country.
Go ahead, Bam.
OK, I'll do it. So Song Crown is essentially the Thai New Year festival.
And what we do is we close off the streets from the 13th to the 15th of April, and we just use water guns to shoot water at people.
We get soaking wet all day. We find lunch around there. We run around on the streets and we just go crazy for a few days.
And Pudgy is planning to do an event during that time period where we can come chill, you know, hang out, but also go enjoy the actual festivities that's happening around Bangkok at the time.
This sounds awful wild.
Sorry, look at it a little bit. So Song Crown is a Thai New Year's Day.
It's just like you can have New Year's Day. We have Thailand New Year that is Song Crown.
And it's one of the hottest days in Thailand. That's why we decided to throw water around the city.
And that's why we closed down the street and it's become the water festival that people come to Thailand for that day.
Back to you, Luca.
I love that. And it just perplexes me why Asia and all these different regions have, you know, within Asia have so many of these like fun, festive moments.
And in America, like the best thing we can get is like a protest or a riot and like maybe a Fourth of July with some fireworks.
But this sounds great. A giant water battle for two days.
I mean, count me and it sounds like I'd be remissed if I were to miss that.
So three days, Luca, three days. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But yeah, we would love you to come.
Because that sounds really fun. That sounds like once in a lifetime stuff. So I'll try to make that happen.
That's great. And you also see Nick getting a igloo tattooed on him if you come.
If you also can't miss that.
Is it a recorded space?
This sounds incredible. It makes me think that the UK needs to see if you would love it.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like I've lived in the UK for a bit myself and nothing beats Thailand.
You got to come.
You know, I just get hit with these videos on TikTok and Instagram.
And it's just like these these places in Thailand that I'm that I'm just seeing like in the city.
And it's just like, obviously, I'm used to Miami and Los Angeles prices.
And I'm just seeing like these awesome apartments.
And I'm like, you know, nine hundred, you know, obviously, I know the the earn the, you know, nine hundred dollars is obviously different in America.
Because we are natively making dollars.
But it's just fascinating to see like these awesome apartments in Bangkok for nine hundred bucks.
It's like I need to go specifically.
I haven't been to Thailand and I was actually surprised because in cool and poor in Malaysia, the dollar is also really strong as well.
And so, you know, I was I specifically.
You're going to leave like a king here, Luca, with the income for the U.S.
You're going to leave like a king here.
You know, yeah, it's called the Land of Smiles for a reason.
And you can get a touchy island in Thailand.
You know, I thought about this. So I thought about this.
And I think some people in Asia had this conversation with it was like, I think it was a conversation at one of the dinners.
I can't exactly remember.
But, you know, when Pudgy Penguin starts like actually hitting its stride and we become to be, you know,
we get into a situation of like financial abundance, which like obviously it seems like a great moment, you know, looking forward in the next couple of years.
I'm totally the guy to like buy these properties in Bali and then like do like a coke and gated Airbnb.
It's pretty easy to stand up and just be like anybody who owns a Pudgy Penguin or a little pudgy, you know, you can easily book like three to four days at a time.
Here's a property in Bangkok. Here's a property in Cool and Poor because you can buy things, you know, with a couple million bucks.
I could get a couple properties that are super badass.
One in Bali, one in Thailand.
And just like, look, if you want to go to, you know, Asia, Southeast Asia specifically, you are, you know, you just go into this little portal.
Take your pudgy little pudgy connect.
Make sure you have it.
And I don't know if people would like that.
But, you know, something I'll probably bring up a couple of years from now.
Did we just get some alpha right here, people?
Like, are we talking real world assets here?
It's how you raise your hand.
What's up, man?
Oh, yeah, I was just going to say, I think Bambam and Nat are totally underselling Songkron.
It's like a proper water festival where it's no mercy.
Like if you're on the streets and it doesn't matter if you have a phone or, you know, like a backpack or anything, you are as good as gone.
You know, you're getting like water gun sprayed or like they're throwing like buckets of ice cold water at you.
Sometimes they'll bring out the fire trucks like the actual like fire hoses and they'll just like unload on people.
I don't know if that's still legal anymore, but at one point it was.
So it's not.
It's not.
But people still do it.
Legal is not really applied that much here.
It's a suggestion more.
I mean, usually it's not legal, but usually the police also sometimes bring out like the huge hoses and host people down during Songkron, like to join in the fun.
So I don't think anyone's getting arrested for it.
But yeah, I think it's a lifetime experience.
You should come and try.
It's something to be really proud.
It is one of the most amazing tourism event that we represent Thailand for that.
You know, I really dread that 20 hour flight.
I tell you, like the way there last time I went was OK.
The way back was just incredibly brutal.
But listening to you guys speak, I'm a huge water guy.
I really enjoy water.
I really enjoy nature in general, but me and water have a special relationship.
This sounds like a really great time.
And it's actually I'm actually thinking about it for the first time.
I'm like, well, even if ComplexCon Hong Kong is not in April, I should still probably try to make an effort because this just sounds incredibly fun.
So I'm going to I'm going to look into it and see if I can make it down.
Thank you, Luca.
I think we can let people know a little bit of plan BAM and Nick, but what order face in Thailand.
So we're going to talk to sponsor this week, actually, like in two days.
And what we're planning is like we're not going to have you guy like all day.
We're going to have you guy come maybe lunch or breakfast for some Thai food.
We're going to pray.
Go to some temples.
We're going to have a bunch of people pay all the web three builders in Thailand.
You know, we have a lot of good builders here.
SCB 10 X, Impossible Finance, Token Alux.
And we get all people in Pachi Asia get connected in Thailand.
And I'll talk with them that this could be something we can start.
It's a Pachi Asia tool, you know, because we have something amazing in every country.
We have in Hong Kong, in Malaysia, in Vietnam.
And we can start with it.
It is work.
We can apply that to other countries.
It's going to be like a beautiful, big community expanding in Asia.
What do you think, Dan?
Yeah, man.
I mean, like, yeah, I mean, like after the toy drive, you guys did, you know, I think
it's going to be the one that we are.
It's going to be the first and the biggest Pachi Water Festival in Thailand.
Yes, the biggest for sure, because it's the first one and no one's ever done it before.
But we're going to make you proud.
We're going to do you proud, guys.
You know, if Luca comes on, we've got to increase the number of people that will be arriving.
But all right.
Before we jump into everything else, David just came on stage.
David, you have your hand up.
Come say hi.
Hi, guys.
I just wanted to jump in.
I said that it's a right before token two hundred twenty nine forty nine.
So if you make it to Thailand, you can jump on the plane and go straight to Dubai, which
is where the next token is, and it can be a nice trip.
So if you're coming to Dubai, you have no no reason to not come to Thailand also, Luca.
Oh, well, David, you're you're cooking up on the Panguineering team and you're cooking
up on the scheduling side of things.
If that's the case, then I see absolutely no reason to not come by.
Space is recorded.
Let's go.
That's all that counts.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, I think we are done.
Yeah, I think we're done, guys.
We can just end the space now.
We got nothing else.
Oh, wait.
Thank you, everyone.
We need to confirm as well.
April is getting.
Yeah, April is getting incredibly stuck now, like in the beginning of the month.
This NFT NYC.
And then there was token 2049.
Now you guys are slapping this and it's seeming it seems very tempting.
It seems very tempting.
I love stuff like this.
I love stuff like this.
So I might have to.
I better see you in Thailand for that water festival, buddy.
We might need to do it.
We might need to do it.
It sounds incredible.
And like everyone knows Pudgy Asia are absolute chads.
I mean, recently you guys also added Pudgy India and I'm Indian myself.
So that was incredible to see.
I can't wait to see the stuff that cooks up on that side of things.
And this year it seems pretty incredible with all the events that are happening.
And it's not going to slow down anytime soon.
So April is looking like one for the books and I might have to pull through.
Yeah, it's going to be a month full of memories, Chef.
Lucas flying over 20 hours and yours is 12 hours.
I know that for a fact.
Obviously, we're all traveling.
After the dim air drop, I'm going to ask Ray from Malaysia to sweep some houses in Bangkok
and we can just have the Pudgy house over there.
He's not here, but I think he's listening.
He's here.
Which Nat, you just brought it up and I just want to bring it up while we have some people in space.
We got a couple of penguins who got hacked pretty bad over the last 24 to 48 hours.
So please make sure that penguins are getting the dime air drop regardless.
You do not need to connect your wallet.
How they have the infrastructure set up is you really have to copy and paste your address
or anybody in the space listening.
We lost them like really loyal, die hard.
They're still penguins at heart, at least to me.
And I know probably to the rest of the group, but it was really sad to see a couple of our prominent Twitter faces get hit yesterday.
It's like a fake dimension page that has the gold box and the gold check and the real dimension page does not have that.
So I retweeted their tweets.
It's one of the things recently on my profile.
I just wanted to mention that because you mentioned it.
It's a pretty badass air drop and it's kind of a huge moment for the community.
I think signals a lot of things to the greater space.
But I just wanted to say that while everyone's listening.
Some of the really cautious and smart penguins got hit.
So they're getting clever with the hacks.
Well, that's really sad.
So I recommend you guys to go to the party discord.
We have the party security there and any link in there.
I think it's more safe to ask people around in the party.
I forgot the channel name.
It's a security something.
And that's all the guys you can ask anything.
Yeah. And I think one thing we are also cooking is that both and also criteria.
We may actually have a security session in telegram chat in the Asia telegram chat.
So we can all be part of it.
We don't need to go on the space and we can all look at the question and answer.
So we can all be part of it.
So probably we'll try that.
Hopefully Friday or Saturday night.
We'll definitely tell you guys about that.
100% guys.
If anyone's ever concerned and you guys are lazy, just ask the huddle.
All of us would just with the answers will be able to guide you the right direction.
So stay safe guys.
And really sorry to hear the people affected.
I think they're definitely going to recover from this.
They're going to be strong individuals.
So all right.
How about we move forward with the space then.
Have a few questions for Luca.
Have a few questions for Shiv.
And then we could just continue chatting from there.
So guys, Overpass is out.
We've been waiting for so long.
And finally, well, really like Matt props to the team for pushing this out.
Really, really congratulations.
Really happy to see what's going on.
I've personally submitted my penguins.
But the standing alpha for Asia that you could share of how the choosing system is working.
So this for Overpass is our beta launch.
Kind of just wanted to make sure that everything kind of worked according to plan
before we opened it up to the rest of the world.
So any feedback that you guys have for the platform,
please drop it in the Overpass feedback channel on the Discord.
It's greatly appreciated.
And we have a team looking at that stuff on the daily basis.
I think it's pretty exciting.
Sorry, we couldn't get it out a little sooner.
But I think actually the timing worked out pretty well.
This first Overpass launch really is about 88 big pudgies and littles.
I think it's like 50 to 38.
It's kind of the number discrepancy.
So I'm super excited to see you guys submit that
and see what that first process looks like.
A number that I think is pretty important to pay attention to
that I'm really interested in seeing
that I think will kind of give us a good idea
as to how many penguins are actually submitting
is look at that total submission window.
So you have about two weeks to submit, so no rush.
You can use delegate.xyz and we'll probably implement some others as well.
When you actually log into Overpass,
you're not signing any transactions.
You're really just signaling that you have the items in your wallet.
But one number that I want everyone to pay attention to
is actually how many little pudgies and big pudgies submit.
Because everybody does this math
where it's like 100 out of 8,888,
or with littles, like 22,000 littles.
But in reality, that's actually not the case.
In reality, how many people are submitting
is really the total pool of what I would call super active penguins.
And I want you guys to pay attention to that number
because right now I think there's about 1,000 big pudgies submitted.
Being able to license 1,000 big pudgies over the course of time
is very achievable based on what I know.
I know when we launch Overpass, the main launch
will be licensing hundreds of penguins.
And so something that I want you guys to pay attention to
because I think the odds are a little more stacked in your favor
than people may think.
I'm really excited to really put these penguins to life
and there's a bunch of deals that we have in the pipeline
that we've kind of put on hold.
So really getting those to kind of come to fruition
and get all of those other initiatives kind of steamrolling is exciting.
And furthermore, I just think the platform is ultimately going to
make this thesis not only for pudgy penguins
more achievable but for others as well.
And so I really look at this as a huge step forward in just NFTIP.
Obviously I believe pudgy penguins is leading the charge in that respect
but it's going to be really exciting to see other projects use the platform
to kind of double down on this thesis with us.
So I'm happy to answer any questions.
It was a really awesome beta launch.
We have another main launch here coming shortly
after we kind of take some of these revisions in
and fix a couple things.
If things need to be fixed, there's a couple good features
I've already seen be suggested in the chat.
But it's, I believe, a huge step for just NFTIP in general.
When I first came into the space, that was a huge driver.
And it seems like we kind of just forgot about it during the bear market
or at least I think a majority of the space did.
Though I'm just a firm believer that this is one of the great use cases for PFPs
and it's really about taking this stuff into the real life
and the symbolism that it represents that I think is really significant and important.
So I appreciate everyone's support.
I know when we launch Overpass, we will have I think one or two
Asia-specific opportunities that I think we're on the brink of closing.
So I'm excited for that and happy to answer any questions if anybody has any.
Well, I just got to say that was a whole lot of fan-girling for me about Overpass.
But I've been super excited.
I don't know about you guys, but I was definitely one of the people who submitted for Lil Pudgy's.
Hopefully this little spoon sparks some interest.
I can't wait to see how the whole process actually goes down.
But another thing that Lucas spoke about actually is something I was really looking forward to as well,
which is actually other NFT projects kind of hopping on Overpass as well
and seeing how they can utilize their IPs as well with the platform.
What are your thoughts on that, guys?
Yeah, I'm personally super excited for it because I think there's a lot of communities
that didn't have maybe the resources, whether it be legal or financial, to actually kind of do this.
I don't know the exact dollar amount, but the first run of licensing that we did
I think cost us like $21,000 in legal fees.
That is not achievable for, I think, a majority of projects.
Especially, I think there's a bunch of great projects that are working really hard
that are kind of doing it bootstrapped and didn't raise a ton of mint funds or things like that.
I think this just opens the door for any and all creators.
This obviously translates to artists.
All you really need to have licensing activated is an LLC from your NFT.
I think a majority of artists and companies in the space should have an LLC.
If you don't, then you probably should get one.
I'm really just excited to kind of see how that plays out as well.
That's why I'm excited for Main Launch.
I have a bunch of projects kind of inquiring and trying to reach out.
I think this is the type of relationship and direction that the space ultimately needs to go in.
You need to build a real brand. You need to focus on these things.
I'm just a firm believer in that.
You'd be really hard-pressed to convince me otherwise.
I'm just like a total 100% believer that these NFT projects are IPs,
and IPs to be successful have to go into the real world, and they have to do real things.
When you do that, you can bring your community along with a ride.
Do licensing deals are going to make you $10 million? Probably not.
That's just in the realm of reasonability, but it's not about the finances necessarily.
It's about the symbolism. It's about, hey, we can do it together.
There's really two buckets in which you can go here.
Bucket one is I can go make characters myself and make all of the money,
and then bucket two is you can do it the Web 3 way.
I think this is the Web 3 way, which is involving the community and the holders
and the participation of it.
I think it's a really beautiful signal to the rest of the space.
I think it's a great addition to add to your ecosystem.
I tell people all the time, Pudgy Penguin's utility is not licensing.
It is one of the many things that is a part of being this community.
It just adds a really cool depth and layer to it that if you know you're going to be
a part of the huddle over a long period of time, the chances of you having your penguins
brought to life in some sort of shapewear form is pretty high.
That's why I pointed out the submissions.
5,000 total NFTs submitted is a lot different than 33,000,
which would be the total in the ecosystem.
As kind of product scale, I had somebody reach out to me the other day
for an offer your penguin to be AI-generated and some GBT.
I don't know why I'm tongue-twisting there, but it was interesting.
I was like, I'll pay them $300 a license to put them in the software that I made.
I was like, well, if he wants a license, 20, 30 of them,
he can just do that directly without having to go through me.
It's not only an opportunity for the actual company to provide opportunity.
There's tons of people who reach out to Pudgy Penguins on a daily basis
wanting to put Pudgy's in games or in other assets within their protocol.
Now, I don't even need to manage that.
Usually, I just turn that away because it doesn't really make sense for the company.
But now, it can just go straight to the community.
It's not even just opportunity that I bring.
It's opportunity that the brand brings.
It's opportunity that the community brings.
There's community members.
I know Kent is doing great on Amazon right now.
He can go to Overpass, KYB, which is basically signing up as your business.
I need to know who's kind of on the other side of that transaction.
Then he can make a listing for opportunities at Pudgy Penguins.
It's not just defined by one entity.
It actually just opens up the flood dates for any and all opportunities
and then just gives those opportunities directly to holders
without having it to go through some sort of process within the team,
which I think also is really great because the team can't necessarily manage
every single game that wants to put a Pudgy Penguin in it.
They can just go directly to you guys
and you guys can work out those deals right on the platform
in a pretty easy and simple way.
It's going to be really exciting to see it shake out.
I know for sure once all eyes are on NFTs,
I think this platform is going to gain some serious momentum
and hopefully it does before then,
and I'm just excited to kind of see it play out.
Thanks for sharing, Luca.
Funny you mentioned the metric of how many penguins submitted
because when it first launched,
I submitted three of my best-looking penguins and that's it.
I stopped there.
Then after a bit, I was like,
what if they wanted the others so I went ahead and submitted everything?
I do want to see how many penguins ended up submitting their stuff.
While we're there, we have Darren.
Darren and I spoke earlier today.
Darren, how are you doing?
Hey, guys.
Yeah, good to be on.
Always happy to be supporting one of the rare days
that I'm actually not clashing on my weekly team calls from my 6.5 to 9.0.
Anyway, it's just good to be here.
Hi, Luca. Good to see you.
I just want to point out something.
I think a couple of weeks ago,
I think as you all know, in Malaysia, in KL,
there was quite a big event that happened with Pajis.
A big shout-out to Cheryl and Paji Ray,
who really did a great job like hosting, making it happen.
But I did want to point out that I personally got a chance
to have a chat with Luca.
What's his name?
Remind me his name, Luc.
Luke Belmore.
Yeah, that's right.
And Luc Belmore.
Amazing guy.
As far as I'm aware, this might be Alpha
because I don't think this is really, really shared much,
but I believe he's like a co-investor in Pajis at the beginning.
And yeah, I spoke to him.
I didn't get, I think probably for about 15, 20 minutes,
but the takeaway, he's really, really smart guy.
Very young, just like Luca,
and also having a lot of ideas in sort of shaking up the social media space.
Not so much Web 3.
He's a lot more focused on Web 2 and social media.
But the kind of ideas and the way he presents himself is just really amazing.
And it's just good to see the Pajit team being
built up among such great people.
So shout out to your team, Luca.
Now, shout out to you, and shout out to all of you guys.
Just always welcoming anybody a part of this in open arms
and just doing amazing work.
I'm so grateful for all of you guys.
You mentioned Cheryl and the Malaysia team.
I think they're doing a great job at Fahrenheit.
Obviously, we have Sean and Dan and everybody here on stage.
And it's really a unified and pure effort.
I think it's just beautiful to watch.
And I can't tell you guys enough
how grateful we are for every single one of you.
I'm excited for the day that we can really put you guys
in a position to really succeed even further.
And so I'm working on a couple things in the background
that I think are going to be exciting
and are going to put us all in a situation
that is going to allow us to do a lot more opportunities here
pretty soon.
But so far, I think I speak for the rest of the huddle
and we say how grateful we are for everybody
representing the penguins in Asia.
It is such a huge stride for us.
And you guys are keeping the momentum there.
I think a couple of months away from being able to really
finalize a couple of things that I've been working on
that I think are going to help move the needle in Asia.
But I can't say any more.
I got to kind of make things happen.
But nonetheless, you guys are keeping the momentum going there.
And I'm super appreciative and grateful for it, seriously.
Hi, Luca.
I think, you know, thank you so much
because you have delivered so much in the last two years.
I think, I mean, everyone in the space probably see this,
you and the whole team.
Obviously, the community, I have to say,
the project community is so, so different.
I'm really happy to be with you guys here.
One thing I want to ask you, Luca,
you know, I see that you have already,
you have kind of achieved what you talked about, you know,
like two years ago, something like that.
But what I asked you about,
like how do you see project penguins in three years?
What's your vision?
Yeah, I think on its face, we've accomplished, I think,
the low-hanging fruits,
the things that I knew unequivocally we could accomplish.
And now, and so I kind of like,
if you guys are familiar with baseball,
I think we've done a really good job
at hitting, you know, a ton of singles and doubles
and maybe even triples.
But really where I want to focus these next couple of years
is really trying to hit a couple of really monster home runs, right?
I think I kind of started off the new year with a tweet
saying, like, we did a great job this year,
but what we did, you know,
what we did in 2023 can't be what we do in 2024.
Obviously, you know, some of the initiatives
that we've already pursued, you know,
how does that stuff get bigger and better?
And, you know, how do we expand, I think, is really important.
But we have a couple aces up our sleeves,
and it's up to us to make sure that we use those
when the right hand presents itself,
and we take this thing further.
I mean, obviously, what are some big goals
that I really would like to hit
that I think would define a home run?
I would love to pull off a movie or a TV show.
I know that sounds ridiculous,
but actually, the conversations that I've been having
is a little more achievable than I think, you know,
people may give it credit for on its face.
It actually can be achieved. It's not a pipe dream.
I actually believe we can get it done
and then distribute it somewhere
that I think is super impactful.
You know, on the other side of that, we have Pudgy World.
How do we make an experience
that millions of people can enjoy
that ultimately is our first crack
at people understanding the deeper story
to the Pudgy Penguin character,
so I'm kind of excited for that.
You know, kind of what I think is programmed at this point
is just toy expansion, you know,
really trying to figure out, you know,
how big we can get these toys
and how many different places.
You know, we've been able to kind of tackle
some really amazing regions,
but there's a lot more still to go.
And then, you know, last but not least,
and I think probably the most important factor
and variable here is really trying to make Pudgy Penguins
a cultural icon, which I think, you know,
I kind of had mentioned this in a couple of tweets
maybe a couple of months ago.
You know, I believe Pudgy Penguins is on pace
if we do nothing else to just be an Internet icon.
I believe the way the content's being distributed,
I believe unequivocally we will accomplish that.
But being an Internet icon and a cultural icon,
I think, are two different things,
and if you can be both, then you've really won.
And so how do we really become one with culture,
I think, is going to be...
It's not predicated on one single thing.
It's predicated on 100 different things.
And I'm really excited to see what that looks like.
I can, you know, without giving you guys some alpha,
I have some, you know, big opportunities in the pipeline
that I believe we're in the brink of closing
that I think are going to be huge needle movers for us.
But, you know, the North Star stays the same.
I believe if we can create a brand
that tens of millions of people know and love,
everything else works itself out.
And so far that's kind of been the game plan and the strategy,
and so far it's worked.
And so we will kind of continue on that path.
But, you know, in the midst of continuing on that path,
we have to really try to hit a home run.
And that's kind of my primary focus this year,
is how do we just do something that is so undeniably massive.
And don't get me wrong, I think Walmart is that,
and how many toys we've sold is that.
But if we can put one or two more monster home runs
in the pipeline like we did there for this year,
I think it will really be an undeniable moment
for Pudgy Penguins, but also a huge spark of energy
that I think the NFT space just generally needs, right?
I think I believe that we have the responsibility
to bring excitement back to the NFT space.
And I believe we've begun to do that.
And so I don't think the responsibility of us hitting home runs
or us succeeding is just predicated on, you know,
taking care of our immediate holder group,
which obviously will always be priority.
But I actually think, you know, what all of us are doing here
is bigger than Pudgy Penguins, right?
When you guys are bolstering the Pudgy Penguin brand
and community and you guys are representing us
and, you know, getting people excited
about Pudgy Penguins specifically,
you're also really getting them excited
and giving them hope about NFTs,
which I think is in desperate need of some hope.
And I believe we're providing that.
So I believe our success is not just the success of Pudgy Penguins.
I think our success will ultimately be the success of NFTs.
And I just want all of you guys to know,
I think our responsibility is bigger than what we even imagined.
Because if we can bring excitement back to this space,
it brings everybody up.
I think we've saw that over the last, you know, month, month and a half.
Obviously, Pudgy Penguins has seen a lot of attention.
And I think that is not just great for us.
Obviously, we're all happy.
But I think it's more importantly great for the entire space
to bring some much needed credibility
and some much needed hope back into the veins of NFTs.
Thank you, Luca.
You're not just delivering what for Pudgy,
but I think you're also giving hope for everyone
and all other projects.
You know, they can also achieve something similar.
I think we were having this conversation earlier today in Pudgy Thailand,
but essentially what I think is, you know,
a win for an NFT project is not a lose for other NFT projects, right?
Essentially, if one of us wins, we all win.
We all are growing the space together.
We're all introducing new people into the space.
We're getting people excited about things to come in the space.
And that's kind of like, that's a win for all.
That's something we should all be happy about.
And I think Pudgy is doing great.
And I think whatever you guys are doing is working,
because during the event that we went to a couple of days ago,
one of the members in the huddle actually,
he was from the UK huddle and he came over to visit us in Thailand.
And he was talking about how his niece actually loves Pudgy World
and she's been claiming all these different outfits
and all these different traits to play in Pudgy World.
And she doesn't even know about NFT since she's like seven years old
or something like that, if I recall.
But, you know, you're already introducing a whole new crowd
to the NFT space, a whole new crowd to the blockchain world
without them even knowing it through your toys, you know,
through all these creative initiatives that you're doing.
I appreciate that, Bam Bam.
And I think there's many such stories like the one you gave.
And I think that is going to be the lifeline here
that I believe we all need and that this industry needs.
And ultimately is going to be a huge anchor for this next NFT run
that I believe is not too far away.
Just a hoping.
It will come, I promise.
Every part of my body knows it will come.
And it will come way bigger than it was two years ago.
I'm as certain as I've ever been about something that that will be the case.
Okay, let's go, guys.
This space is recorded.
Luke is promising us the full run.
I'm getting goosebumps, guys.
If it doesn't come, we're making a penguin run, guys.
The penguin run is already preordained.
It's already written in the stone of the Pudgy books.
But it's not fun when it's just us, right?
We want everybody to win, succeed.
It's always good when the timeline is happy across the board.
So I'm excited to see how these next six to 12 months really shake out.
I think we're all excited to see it as well.
So we're behind you, Luca.
We have your back.
Don't be afraid to fail.
And we believe in you.
Asia believes in you at the very least.
Yeah, 100%.
I want to kind of pass the mic over to Shiv,
because Shiv's been a little bit quiet.
But Shiv, if you could, I think a bunch of us in Asia
don't necessarily get to interact with you a lot yet.
Could you come share a little bit about what you do,
who you are, and when you join the team?
I'd love to give this run down.
Just before I do, I think you guys are crushing it with this space.
If you guys are pulling up right now, support the homies,
like, retweet the space, blow it up.
I think this is a fantastic space.
Shout out to Asia.
A bit about me, I guess you could say my main focus is primarily
on the little pudgy side of things,
really driving culture and the community there,
really rallying the troops behind.
For the longest time, people did not champion the little pudgies
rather having it sit in their wallets to be part of the ecosystem.
I think I saw a grand opportunity with the little pudgies.
I think there's 20,000 of them.
A lot of these traits look fantastic with each other.
I think championing them on the timeline is just as valuable,
and you're just as much as an equal member of the huddle,
regardless if you have a big or small.
A primary focus of mine is, of course, onboarding new members
into the huddle, whether they choose a little pudgy or a big,
and really making sure they understand their way around,
and of course, driving value overall into the community.
I think the penguins are fantastic at doing this,
having the fingers or the pulse,
really understanding what is the sentiment right now in the market
and how can we, of course, make the most out of it.
I think we've done a fantastic job when it comes to, of course,
delivering products and making sure the community experience is top tier.
Of course, in 2024, we want to strive that we take
the bar that we set in 2023 to a whole new level in 2024,
and of course, drive a lot of value into little pudgies.
You should definitely be excited for little pudgies this year.
Some stuff on the way, as you know, little pudgies are the alpha.
Stay tuned.
I appreciate you, Shiv.
You've definitely done a great job bolstering the little pudgy community.
Just letting you guys know, Shiv is in our ear consistently,
making sure that we are putting our focus on those little guys.
To that statement, bam-bam, when I look at your NFT,
it reminds me of me at 11 p.m. when I go to the kitchen to get some cereal.
I've been thinking about that this whole time
when I've been looking at your big spoon little pudgy.
The only thing I can think about is some cereal.
It's exactly the reason why I got it.
This pudgy exactly explains all my late-night cravings,
how I act, and the way I walk towards my fridge at night.
She's me. I am my penguin, and my penguin is me.
I think your mom picked that for you, bam.
Yeah, she did.
She also said that this was exactly like me as well.
I love that.
People don't know this, but some people know my big pudgy
preferred traits that I resonate with.
Specifically, the cross-eyed on little pudgies
I think is probably my favorite trait.
They look so cute when they have their little eyes like that.
You've got a good one.
I know the eyes just get me every time.
You look straight into them, and it's just full of innocence.
I love that.
I love how there's a real penguin for everyone.
I think that's the beautiful part, right?
There's a penguin that everyone can relate to,
and you can really build your own story throughout it.
I love that story, bam, bam.
Shif, don't play yourself, Shif.
Your penguin looks amazing with the real background.
Your penguin is the boss, Shif.
Your penguin is amazing.
He's truly a Caesar with that pang.
Exactly, exactly.
I appreciate you guys.
I remember when I was spending, I'm sure at least a month,
trying to find the penguin.
And a lot of the penguins, a lot of them weren't selling.
People obviously loved their penguin.
And I found this one.
I instantly hit up PeePee.
Shout out PeePee for this because he really middlemaned the steel.
And I haven't looked back since.
This was a no-brainer.
Well, I think if you actually explored what Nat is doing in Thailand,
Nat is making little 3D figurines.
I think yours, Shif, would look amazing in one of those, right, Nat?
I need to...
Nat, I'm going to buy one of those today or tomorrow.
We already sent you and Peter won, man.
It's about to be underway.
Yeah, yeah.
I have the golden skin for you, too.
You're going to see it, man.
I can't have you do it for free, though, is the problem.
So I got to pay for it regardless.
Well, I appreciate it.
But I want you guys to see the 3D because we really put our heart into it.
I think it's something when I saw it, it's like, oh, finally, it's become a 3D.
And we sent you one for you and for Peter.
Well, you guys can see.
I think you are going to love it.
And maybe we can do something more fun with the 3D.
Now we have about 40 to 50 putties in the order.
And we try to get it out right now.
How scalable is that process, Nat?
Just so I'm curious.
How long does it take you to make wine?
Because I know it seems really high quality.
So it seems like you're taking the artist's approach,
which I totally respect and appreciate.
Is that scalable in the form of thousands or not really?
No, it's not a form of thousands because we don't want to compete with China factory.
If you go to the thousands in China, I bet they can do cheaper than us.
But if you want to do just one-on-one,
you want to do the luxury toys that you give at the JPEG,
we have the really top class of the 3D model here
and make it happen within a week.
And we send you.
So less than two weeks, you get in your hands.
I love that.
Well, I'm making it a note to go through that process
and maybe get some more in the pipeline with you.
There's a few things about 3D that I think you guys probably don't know about.
That's a lot that you guys see in the front and it's really cool, right?
But we have to use our imagination to think about the back.
Because you never see the back of the penguin, right?
You never see how the sword can look like.
You never see the axe or the sword.
Is the cloak on it out to the leg or not?
We have a lot of that and we figure out with the members.
And we ask them, hey, what do you think you like it?
So it's been really fun.
And for now, we're releasing the first 3D Genesis 1.
It's maybe not the perfect one, but I'm sure you're going to love them.
And we're going to take some order, but give us some time.
We have a lot of requests and I appreciate everyone for supporting us.
For those who are wondering what we're talking about,
what are these 3D printed pudgies that these guys have been talking about?
I've pinned Nat's post up on the space.
So just check it out.
They're really cute.
I've seen most of them already in real life, you know,
got a chance to play with them.
I promise I didn't break any.
I tried my best not to.
Thank you, Bam.
Don't do that.
Yeah, but the super cute IRL as well,
they come with like these cute collectible cards, you know,
DeFi Sushi just got hers.
She came all the way to pick hers up before we went over to Sheng Mai.
And it was amazing.
It was amazing to see how much she loved hers.
So I can't wait to see how the rest of the guys feel when they get this.
Thank you so much, Bam.
I love everything you guys shared.
Yeah, I love everything you guys shared,
but all I got out of it was Nat was thinking about penguin butts for a really long time.
Nick, are you rogging again?
Was I rogging again?
I don't know.
Maybe my jokes were rogging.
Yeah, I think your jokes are racking, Nick.
I think, you know, why?
Because the space is about to end in like eight minutes.
So I'm sort of like low on battery.
But we need some more.
We need some more.
We need more time.
We need more time.
Well, nobody says we can't stay longer.
It just depends on whether our key guests could stay.
But in the meantime, we do have Tony be on stage with us,
and he's been up on stage since the beginning of the space.
Tony, come say hi, and if you have a question, please feel free.
Hi, guys.
I've just been listening while doing a bit of work, a bit of late night work here.
Yeah, no, I'm actually keen on that.
Was it Songkra?
When's that?
Songkra, it's from the 13th to 15th of April,
but we advise you guys to come at least a day or two before
so that you guys don't get drenched on the way from the airport.
No, I think I'm going to jump on that,
especially if Luca is as well, then I'm there.
Tony, I think you're pushing me into a hard spot here
where I might as well make that commitment.
I mean, this sounds so crazy to me.
So you're saying if I'm like a tourist, right,
and I get there on the 13th, they're just going to drench me with water
and not care and just...
That would make a fantastic intro to building in public.
You know, the moment you land, you get drenched.
Well, I mean, what's that phrase they say?
Always fair in love and war.
This is the war part.
This is the water war part that's going on in Thailand.
So, yeah, you can't run.
I think we have to make a trip, it seems like.
I think you guys do.
Yeah, I'm just going to emphasize again that these spaces are recorded.
Guys, you heard it here first. Luca is coming to Pudgy Songkran.
Let's go. All right.
I'm glad I could make that happen.
Yeah, thank you, Tony.
No worries.
Yeah, but Luca, for real, you're going to get drenched.
They're not going to forgive you even if you're a tourist,
even if you're the king from another country.
If you walk on the streets, you're going to get wet.
And you might get flour on your face as well, right?
Bam, do they do that?
What do you say again, Nick?
Do they put flour?
I've seen people rub white powder on people's faces.
Am I getting it wrong?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
You cannot do that anymore. It's illegal now.
Yeah, it's getting to your eyes. It's gone bad.
But to be honest, that's the part where people try to touch others.
That's why the guys have to touch girls.
So do the flour on the face.
Okay, okay.
So they made illegal. I'm sorry.
So you just water for now.
Sorry, Nick.
No, no putting powder on girls' faces this trip.
We just do something legal there.
And on top of that...
It's recorded, Nick. It's recorded space, Nick.
I've never been, you know.
All I've seen is white powder. So I want to know.
Yeah, so on top of that, Bam, Bam is going to be cosplaying Luca, right, Bam?
No, no, no.
Did you share this topic, Nick?
There will be no Luca on stilts if Luca is coming.
Yeah, no stilts. No stilts, Bam. Just me and you.
I'm already on stilts.
These tree trunks that support my entire body are already stilts, if anybody knows.
I'm good in that. I'm good there.
I mean, these guys are saying, like, if you don't come to Faji Sankran,
I would, like, dress up as you and pretend to be you.
And I was like, guys, I probably like Luca's...
Like, the height of Luca's waist, you know?
So I would definitely need stilts.
I've been, like, walking around on stilts all day.
Bam, do it, Bam.
No, thank you.
Do the voice, Bam.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
It's coming already.
It seems the space is ending in four minutes. Let's go.
Who else has something to say?
I've got to hear it. I've got to hear it. I've got to hear it.
It seems like an insider joke that I'm not aware of. I've got to hear it.
Oh, no. Okay.
Oh, my goodness, Bam. You're going to be star. Do it.
No, I'm not.
Interview Luca.
This is either going to be, like, a huddle joke
that they're going to get kicked out of the huddle.
Okay. There's no in-between here.
This is going to be part of the lore now.
Yeah, it's already part of the lore. It's too late.
This is crazy.
Essentially, last week, Luca, when you were a bit, you know, feeling a bit under the weather,
I made a joke with Den and Nick here that if you weren't going to come on,
I was going to pretend to be you.
And it actually happened. So Luca was born. Luca Bams was born.
And I truly wish I do not have to bring Luca Bams back ever again, if possible.
Well, I want to meet this guy.
Oh, God, no. Okay. Okay.
Man, if the man asked for it, you know, you got to deliver.
Okay. Give me a second, guys. I got to prep myself.
Like, count to ten or something.
Oh, my goodness.
Are you really counting to ten?
This is happening. This is happening.
Bam is signing herself up.
It's like the whole space waiting for him, for you, for the Luca.
Yeah. Oh, what's up, guys? This is Luca Bams here.
You know, we're here to enjoy the space by bringing out, putting out, popping this fire.
You sound a lot more like Luca than Luca does.
Okay. I'm pretty excited.
I'm pretty excited because I was hoping you didn't have some, like, weird talent
where you could totally emulate people's voices.
I was like, oh, man, I hate to hear how I sound like.
So we're good. I like that Luca and that's interesting to him.
Dude, I missed it. I missed it while I was joining the stage.
Can we get it one more time?
Oh, no, no.
We have to reload it. We have to reload it.
Oh, God. I can't remember what I said last week.
What did I say? Oh, yeah. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Hey, guys. Luca Bams here. Overpass, blah, blah, blah.
Pudgy penguins, blah, blah.
Pudgy's going to Pudgy Songkran, Pudgy to 100th.
We go. We vibe. Positivity, wholesomeness. Let's go.
I love the song.
That was also my attempt at an American artist.
Oh, my God. Poor Bams.
Just let her out of the Pudgy talent. I just got her in, right, guys?
Guys, don't kick me out, please. Don't give me. I have some.
Your face is safe with us, BAM. Don't worry.
And Luca, if you come to Thailand when Pangoos hit an absurd price,
you have a body double. Bams can protect you.
Yes. I might need one.
As things get a little crazy here, hopefully.
Luca Bams will be your bodyguard. You're safe. You're good.
I might need to hit up.
Cheryl in Cool & Poor gave me a... This guy was a complete assassin.
I might need this guy again. I feel safe.
But whoever Cheryl got me for my bodyguard in Cool & Poor,
I might need to hit him up again.
This guy will protect me until the ends of Earth.
I felt so safe with him.
So I might need to revisit him when I make my major trip.
Wait. Now that you say that, can I hire him as well?
That's the deal here.
If anyone has a problem in Southeast Asia, you let me know. I'll make a call.
Oh, nice. This is like Peeky Pudgy stuff, you know?
This is like gangster stuff. You gotta have an opinion about this. Come on.
Dan, talk about the Peeky's dad.
Yeah. I just want to ask why Luca went Peeky.
I tried to get one the other day. There was one. Everyone was tweeting about it.
I'm hunting for two specific traits. I won't say what,
because I feel like everyone will just bump the price on me.
So I'm hunting for two specific more traits to finish up my igloo.
So stay tuned here.
See, Luca, we told you to buy when it was cheaper.
You know, now penguins are expensive, Luca.
Talking to him, like talking to our friend.
Yeah, I told you to buy, Luca.
I told you, man. I told you.
I told you.
You didn't do it.
I told you the team was building.
You know, there is a funny thing, and I had to do the math on it the other day,
and I kind of stopped myself.
But when we first took this over, I mean, I used to give out little pudgies like hotcakes.
I think we've given out over 200 little pudgies,
especially in like the first six to 12 months.
I was just trying to like, you know, make, you know, reward participation,
you know, just trying to get the momentum.
And I think we gave away at least two.
I used to send Burko batches of 50.
It was like a thing to like give away to the community.
And here we are, little pudgies.
I gave away over 200 of them.
I did the napkin math, and I was like,
oh, man, let's just stop the napkin math while I can.
And just keep working.
Let's not think about that.
Let's just think about how many smiles you put on people's faces.
That's the right thing to think about.
Yeah, because if you start doing the napkin math,
you're going to start shaking with the floor prizes nowadays.
Yeah, no napkin math.
On a side note, I'm going to be sending Burko an angry DM
because I never got one of those little pudgies.
Yeah, what the hell, man?
What the hell?
200, Luca?
You can't slide your boy off like a little tough, maybe?
Unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
Luca, you just called out Burko on space.
Burko's the guy to get mad at.
I was sending it to him.
And I remember, I mean, before I took it over,
I put my rods, unbelievable.
Can you believe this?
I put my rods in a hidden folder.
How disrespectful.
And then I went through my hidden folder one day.
I was like, I have 40 rods.
But I wasn't a good art collector before.
So now that my eye for art has been refined,
I now look at the rods as one of the most prestigious things
in my collection now.
It's funny how that works.
That's all fine art, guys.
I am three minutes late for a call here.
So I'm the king of being a couple of minutes late.
I got to get better at that.
But I appreciate you guys taking the time
and hosting these Pajieja spaces.
Sorry for last week.
And I look forward to the next one.
Thank you for joining us, Luca.
Go ahead for your next appointment.
We'll take it from here.
No worries.
And thank you for joining us.
Have a great day, great night, guys.
And it was a pleasure as always, seriously.
And keep on keeping on.
I'm so grateful for everyone in the Pajieja community.
I really am.
Thank you, guys.
Thank you, Luca.
Hope the rest of your day as well.
And we have Peepee on stage here.
There's Peepee.
I want to hear from Luca Bamm again.
Luca Bamm coming to introduce Peepee.
Guys, you're missing prime time opportunity here.
Now that Luca has left, we have Shiv on stage.
And we have like almost 10 Pajies surrounding him.
We can ask him for any alpha we want.
Like he's stuck with us.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
This is what we have been waiting for.
Come on, Cib.
You got all the alphas, bro.
Cib. Cib. Cib. Cib. Cib. Cib. Cib. Cib. Cib. Cib! Cib. Cib. Cib. Cib.
Cib knows 15-year plan.
Yeah, yeah. I've got it.
I've got the 15-year plan.
You just have to catch me in Paris.
So all you guys wanting me to come out to Asia,
come to Paris next month and you'll get alpha in person.
No, no, no.
Hey, Aegis, can you just get this QR code real quick?
Appreciate it, thanks.
Yeah, I got you.
All the love.
Yeah, but no, it's okay guys, if you don't catch Shiv in NFT Paris,
we'll just catch him in Pajisongkran, because he'll be here.
I'm honestly really tempted to come at this point.
It sounds incredible, like I'm a kid at heart,
and stuff like this just like really entices me to come.
I mean, how do you guys like getting water on everyone?
Do you guys use like water guns?
Yes, water guns, water hoses, splash buckets, anything that can hold water, we use.
And if you're worried about traveling and stuff like that,
you can just book the flight back to the UK with me,
because I'm also heading back home on the 16th.
Fantastic. Right, we've got to do it.
It sounds exciting. I'm also excited for September as well.
I know that's a big month for Asia, with KBW into token 2049,
into Breakpoint in Singapore.
So it's a back to back to back.
And that is something I think Web3 can't fade.
So you'll definitely catch me there as well.
I know having Luca here today was good, but honestly,
like Luca BAM gave out way more alpha last week.
Bullish on Luca BAM.
I mean, I bring all the alpha. I bring all the alpha.
I know nothing. I know nothing guys.
Don't kick me out. Don't kick me out. Luca has had Luca.
There's no turning back.
BAM, you know, that's going to be your voice for the whole Pudgy Songkran, right?
I'm going to meme your little Pudgy into Luca.
No, but if this, if I have to keep this voice on for the whole Pudgy Songkran,
like three day festival, I am going to lose my voice.
And there will be no more helping host these spaces, Nick.
What about two days? Just two days, not three days?
I'll swap it out. If you get an actual tattoo of the Nick Lou, I'll do it.
Like we need to make a trade here.
This is Aaron doesn't allow me.
I don't know.
Burko sent me 200 little pudgies a couple months ago.
I don't know what they were for, but shout out to Burko.
Okay guys, next person to get mad at. Peepee.
Hey Peepee, can you slide me like two little pudgies? Thanks.
I'm just kidding.
Burko did not send me 200 little pudgies.
I mean, I trust your first statement.
So maybe slide me one, you know, and then your secret safe.
Why is Darren giving all the thumbs down, Darren? Are you feeling okay?
Yeah, I'm fine.
You know, I was really annoying because I'm listening to the spaces on my desktop.
And for some reason you can't raise your hand on the desktop.
So I think the next best trick, if you want to sort of get your turn to speak,
is sort of like just keep the thumbs down.
Because usually I notice when you're in the spaces and you put thumbs down,
a lot of people that the host will talk.
Darren, the alpha is you've got to stand the wave emoji.
You've got to stand the wave emoji.
You're signaling it right on my hand.
It really still pisses me off.
I mean, I'm sort of bitching here, but you know, I mean, can't Elon get it right?
I mean, why is it taking so long to like host spaces on a desktop?
You know, why does...
You know, it seems like video streaming is going to come out for spaces
before hands can go up on TC at this point.
Video streams have really caught, you know, fire.
I've seen some people do it, but it's not really been catching on.
Yeah, no, no.
I actually, the reason why I did all the thumbs down,
so I just wanted to have a chance to talk.
I want to ask like, you know, since PP and agents are here,
is anybody from the team going to Paris?
I've sort of been hinted at that Paris is going to be quite big
in terms of the activation for pudgies.
Anything that you want to share with us?
Are you guys going?
I know Luca and Vedant are in there.
I think Burko is going.
It's still up in the air for me.
I'll probably know about it at the end of the week if I'm going around.
I think the show's going too.
I'll be there. I'll be there.
I'm planning to do...
There's a lot of people that are going to be there in Paris.
I'm planning to do like a little picnic.
I say little. It's definitely going to be low.
But a picnic around the Eiffel Tower.
So if you're interested, come through, bring some drinks,
bring some good food.
I know the pastry goes crazy in Paris.
So make sure everyone's eating some good croissants at least.
I think it's just a hard justification if you're in Asia.
Number one, the flight's just pretty far away.
Number two, the weather.
The time of the year is pretty tough.
It's kind of like wintery.
I'm hearing excuses.
But with that said, I've been hearing good things
about what's coming up in terms of the pudgy activation.
So that's still keeping me a little bit for more of that.
I still don't think I'll be going though, sadly.
But to all you guys going, you know, we should...
What makes you come? Do you have to trade?
I've changed Paris with you, Darren.
What's that?
I don't think Paris. I don't like Paris.
I've been to Paris.
I don't like Paris.
Okay, yeah.
I don't want to jump off something,
but yeah, Paris is kind of overrated anyway.
If you've been there one time, I think you don't really want to go again.
It depends on who you go with.
There's like a psych... There's actually...
Hold on. I saw an interesting video, the...
Forget what embassy.
I think it was the Japanese embassy has to get five or six of their citizens out
every single year from Paris because they go there expecting it to be like the movies
and they just have such a culture shock that they have a mental breakdown.
Have you guys heard about this?
No, but one thing I can tell you...
Am I dropping?
One thing I can tell you, I think like whenever...
I don't know. I think whenever I think...
And some of my friends think about like traveling to Paris,
the first thing that actually comes to mind is actually like, be careful.
You know, like, be careful. Don't get scammed. Don't get, you know, pay attention.
Look out for scammers. Look out for like big pockets.
That's like the number one thing. It's no longer like, you know, go and see the Eiffel Tower.
I don't know. Maybe I'm old and, you know, become a bit more like cynical.
But yeah, it seems like the safety concerns are always the number one issue when you go to Paris.
No, that's any city. I'm not gonna... I love France.
Paris. Foxy is down there giving me thumbs down.
He's sending me angry DMs. You know, he thinks I'm insulting his entire country.
You know, I just... Paris is not for me, brother. It's not for me. Okay?
Foxy is from Paris. I don't know. Maybe she changed.
Agents are saying that it needs to be an event in Italy.
Like a pudgy event in Italy at this point.
I would love a pudgy event in Italy. How about...
Let's do Upstate New York. Let's do Upstate New York.
I would love to be able to, you know, have a 10-minute commute to one of these events.
It would be awesome. Who's gonna make it happen?
I'll have a pool party.
I'm there. I'm there. That was a tipping point.
The pool party with agents? Can we share a hot tub?
I'm busy that day.
What up, Foxy? You gonna defend your country?
I don't know. I was on a work call and then I turned the thing on again.
All I hear is you shitting on my nation. So I'm like...
No, no. I was shitting on an urban center within your country.
Paris, the other one, they're old scammers. Holy shit, guys.
Listen. You know Paris is not indicative of all of...
I saw that. That was the city of love.
The city of love. Okay. All right. That's Philadelphia, my friend.
And I don't want to go to a conference in Philadelphia either. And neither do you. Okay?
We're gonna have a meet-up on Kensington Street.
We need to. Asia, are you gonna make it or not?
No. And actually, you know, me hating Paris aside, my grandfather broke his hip last week.
So he's added to the list of me being the caregiver. So unfortunately, no, I cannot make Paris.
But New York City is gonna be crazy. It's gonna be awesome.
Also, yeah, Paris is full of scammers and smells like piss.
Yes. So I came here to defend at the same time half of what you guys were saying was actually true.
So I mean, hey, still, you cannot get stabbed, right?
Wink, wink to all the breaths on the stage.
There's no way. There's no way it's just dedicating this to me.
There's just no way. You know, that's what you know, you fail at all. You just start delegating it to other countries.
Like, excuse me, Foxy. No.
And I mean, come on, we got to we got to do something better than a picnic next to the fucking Eiffel Tower.
Jesus Christ. Okay.
Okay, look, it's gonna be it's gonna be, you know, for a lot of people, the first time in Paris, they got to go to the Eiffel Tower, which is right next to the main event.
Are we are we gonna get like the group photo with like the tower behind us? Is this is this now the idea?
That's your idea. You can't call it a cliche anymore. That's your idea.
We'll make it we'll make it happen just as you wanted, Foxy. Appreciate the feedback.
Awesome. Also, I just want to point out that there's two foxes, so it's kind of messy.
We have we have the Foxy penguin and then we have the Foxy Foxy from Paris who is defending his nation.
Yeah, it's good. They were both. They were both in Germany at the same time. And they took the they recreated the spider man, spider man.
I was so sweet.
It was just funny because you'd be with them and be like, hey, Foxy. And they'd both turn their heads and you would have to say no, the French one.
That was a fun one. But, yeah, Foxy Foxy penguin is like way cooler than I am for sure.
Foxy, if I'm not mistaken, there is a cool one.
No, I like French Foxy because the dude knows how to drink a beer. We'll put it that way.
Foxy, I know Pudgy Europe is doing a site like a community event in Paris. I don't know what the details are exactly.
But if you if you do know a lot here, I think she was looking into some restaurants and all that.
But nothing is confirmed yet. So we'll keep you guys updated.
But I was just looking at the side events and I got to tell you, we're lacking. I was looking at the side events for NFT Paris.
WOW is like having a whole side thing like every single day, three times a day.
So we need to do at least three or four side events for everyone that is coming.
So I need to push more for that for sure. Looking forward to meet everyone that is that is coming to to NFT Paris.
It's going to be really cool. And if you guys are up there in the air, P.P., come on, get your ass. Stop being up in the air.
By the way, P.P. and Agent, you guys were like, I don't know if you guys are here.
So we just asked Luca on stage and also she about, you know, coming all the way over to Thailand for some crown. Pudgy, what's the festival?
You know, Agent, I know that you want to you love playing with the gel blaster and all this, right?
Oh, yeah, I absolutely loved it. Getting hit full auto by my niece from like three feet away. And, you know, I have my president telling me, oh, yeah, no, it's just a little sweat.
Fucking thing hurts. OK, it hurts. But yeah, I loved it in a way.
So we're going to have that. We're going to have that on the street. Think about it. You know, everyone on the street, you know, with the water gun and shooting each other.
Yeah, in a way, if you think about it is is really what what's happening is really is it's grand theft auto, but instead of bullets, you're shooting water.
So you can get her some time, man, a sheer country shut down for three days. Is that is that what happens or wants to go with people working and stuff like that?
No, we don't work. It's the it's the tiny years. So everything's closed. You know, the malls are open.
You can kind of like run into a mall to hide from water from time to time. But who's working at the mall? Oh, that's a good question.
Actually, I guess all the people who want OTs. Oh, they make good money, man. The expats just yeah, just the expats like you don't get to have a holiday here.
You got to go to work. Exactly. It's the holiday for the ties and the puddies. Yeah.
So I'm going to land in Thailand and they're going to put me inside a sunglasses hut and say, this is where you live for the next three days.
Is that what you're telling me is going to happen? Is that why you're trying to get all the Americans over there?
You need a labor force for these three days. So the economy doesn't. Nice try.
And he knew it. I know it was a plan.
They're definitely putting agents in a massage parlor. Yeah. Yeah. Likely be in a massage parlor, massaging, you know, random people on the streets.
But you get paid a lot. I grew up on a farm. My hands are rough and callous. Nobody wants that.
Hey, people love that extra force agent. There are a lot of bombs in Thailand as well.
Yeah. I'm going to land. I mean, they're going to be stuck in a in a sunglass hut or working on a farm.
I mean, you guys are really because it really sounds or I'm going to be in a massage parlor, you know, what date is this is April.
Yes. So the actual like song festival is April 13th to the 15th.
But we do recommend coming in advance like a couple of days or maybe one day in advance because the streets are going to be shut down.
And you are definitely going to get wet, you know, traveling from the airport to your hotel or wherever you're headed to.
I'm sorry, Tony. No, you're just making a joke. You're right.
What? Where's everybody? Everybody gathering in Bangkok or?
Yes. So we are like the Paji, Thailand and Paji Asia like they could then have been a big help on this are currently confirming some partnerships with different hotels and different event locations and stuff like that, that we could potentially, you know, find so that we could find good deals for you guys.
When you come over and everything could be close together, like you can hop out from the hotel and go enjoy the water festival, hop out and then go to the event, things like that.
And, you know, be a lot more fun if we don't have to do a lot of traveling around. So that's what we're trying to cater to. But everything's going to be based in Bangkok.
Love it. Let's do this. Grab me. You're coming. What's up. No, you're going.
No, I'm saying I'm saying ask me in March. I'll see how my grandfather is doing. And if if you're just if it's you're just doing excuses. Come on, agents. I'm not doing.
I'm not doing it. It's my father just dropped a sandwich. I need to go get it for him.
If we're talking about anyone, anyone know me for a long time knows that I take care of my grandparents. OK, so obviously you're a fake friend. You're only in it for my penguin.
That really hurts, bro. That really hurt. You know, sometimes sometimes your eyes just open and you really see people who for who they are.
But listen, come March, come March, if my grandfather is feeling better and it's not too much stress on my family, me me going for a week or two to Thailand, I would love to come.
I always wanted to go to Asia. I was really jealous of of Adam's grand tour. It just wasn't in the cards for me.
Adam is an Asian already, dude. Yeah, we accept him as an Asian and Tai too. He's a 69% Asian. Yeah, I want that for me. I want that for me.
So, yeah, invariably, I'll be at another one of these in February and March. So just keep asking. And eventually I'll give you a firm. No, we're a firm. Yes.
You got it. We will keep reminding you don't stop. Bug Luka. Just keep bugging Luka and the team and be like, yeah, we need agents. We need agents in Thailand.
And it's critical to the success, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And, you know, maybe they'll ship me 200 little pudgies and then I'll go to Thailand.
You know, who knows? Who knows what could happen with the power of community and friendship. That's all I'm going to say, guys, community and friendship.
A lot of things get done. God, okay, guys, little pudgies also helps.
Okay, it seems like we've got to make a list now of all the people that we need to bug Luka about to come to Thailand for Pudgy Songkran, including himself and Shiv, an Asian tier.
You know, we've got to make sure they all get here in April.
Well, we have limited tickets, so make sure that they come fast. True, true, true.
Is there any group yet for the Asian event? Because I'll be there with Nela as well.
You can come and talk with Pudgy Thailand.
We have a Pudgy Thailand on here. You can come and chat with us. Yeah.
Yeah, for those who are planning to come, we actually are going to prepare a goodie bag for every penguin.
So it's going to be a bag with, you know, all the things that you need for some crown, you know, including water gun, probably Jesse or T-shirt, you know, towel, you know, everything you need.
Dan is set on getting them the towel again.
We are on this again about towel again. We've been talking many times.
You don't need towels. You can't wait anywhere. You've got to get wet.
Towels wouldn't help you, man.
Dan is dead set on getting everyone towels, guys. We've been telling him no, and he's not taking no for an answer, so it might get towels.
No, no, man. I think about Thailand. I always think about the beach and, you know, the sea and everything, right?
My goodness.
This is funny.
There's no beach, Dan. No beach, no sea, just a bitch shooting water at you, and that's me.
Oh, nice. That was a good one. That was a good one.
But on the goodie bags, there's definitely going to be like necessities that you will need for, you know, to enjoy some crown, such as waterproof goggles, the cool kind, of course.
We're going to make sure you guys all look swaggered up. We're going to have like those plastic phone cases.
So, you know, that scenario they were talking about earlier where you're on your phone and you get splashed, that won't happen to you, or at least if it does happen, your phone won't break down.
So we are well prepared for this. Like you guys are safe in our hands.
On the towel part, we'll have to discuss that.
Because the towel is going to get soaking wet anyways, and you're not going to be able to use it.
I will bring my towel.
We need that picture, man. I need that picture.
Dan, is that on towels?
Don't ever ask me for that, you know. I will not give it to you when you need it, you know.
Do please give me any of that.
It's going to be like 50, 60-year-old, however many pudgies that end up going, just all asking Dan for this one towel.
Everyone's going to be like, Dan, can I borrow your towel? It's so cold.
I'll bring a scissors and enough sharing pudgy Songkran Alpha.
We were not supposed to be telling people about the goody bag, but, you know, and the non-existent towel.
But on a more serious note, the few of us that are trying to push pudgy Songkran have to go on a call to discuss the mechanics and the details of pudgy Songkran right after this.
So we're going to end the spaces tonight and we're going to hop on to a more serious call to discuss this since we have Luca and Shiv and a few others who have their spaces recorded.
And they have agreed that they'll be joining us in pudgy Songkran. So, yes.
All right. And thank you, Shiv, for joining us.
And thank you, the rest of you guys on stage for hanging out with us for pudgy penguins Asia Hangout number 52, where we today we actually spoke to Luca and not Luco.
So it's a good night, guys. I'm happy it happened.
And thank you so much for spending your evening with us. Have a very good night and we'll see you next week.
G and everyone. It was a pleasure. Thanks.
This is a cue for you to use the places. All right.
I think I'm trying to play the music, but I think it didn't work. I'm so sorry about that.
Yes, the space continues.
I thought the space was already over.
All right. Finally, it's really over. Good night, everyone.
Good night. Good night, man.
