Thank you. Hello, hello everyone. Let me know if you can hear me okay.
Gotcha loud and clear.
Perfect. I hope Clarissa figured it out. He's having some issues right now. But I'm glad all the girls, they always come

It's good.
Like, you gotta get yourself out there.
I think it's a common issue that people can be a little bit shy on spaces.
Sometimes I have that.
Sometimes there are days when I'm a little bit too shy and I would, like, hide behind the quiet.
But today to be different
Rock and roll

trenches into this space uh to hear from the ladies ladies wonderful ladies we have up on stage here
um i have uh i guess one question to kick us off but before we get to that let's just do a brief
round of introductions i'm gonna go left to right on my screen here. It looks we got, look, we got Crypto Queen up first. Crypto Queen, how you doing, ma'am?
I'm doing great. How are you guys doing?
Grinding, grinding. Really appreciate you joining. Maybe a brief intro and then we'll
keep passing the mic down and then I'll just, yeah, ask one question, get us started here.
Awesome. Okay.
Yes, I'm Crypto Queen.
So happy to be here today with you amazing ladies and the rest of the team.
This is just a really nice opportunity.
And I did meet Matt and the team at Key West.
And we had such an amazing time.
You guys were great hosts and enjoyed learning about Kauai.
So super happy to be here today.
And I'll just hand it off to the next lady.
Heck yeah.
Kauai boss, I'm going to skip you for a moment.
OG in the Kauai Network community here.
Most of the audience knows who you are.
Let's get past the mic over to Veronica.
Everybody knows Veronica, but today's her day.
So, Veronica, give us a brief intro.
We got some new guests up on stage.
Sure. Hi, everyone. I'm Veronica. I'm all things content behind QI. I make tweets, I make videos,
sometimes I also make graphics. So I'm just getting things out here. We're a small and agile team. So, you know, a bit of a, um, many heads, um, but I'm sure many
people in crypto are wearing as many hats as I am. So yeah, happy to be here. And I was excited to
have so many women in this space. I feel like we got all of them into this one. Um, but, uh, yeah,
thanks everyone for joining. Um, I'm glad also that enough men are interested in this because like
i just want to give props to matt because he was the one who suggested to have like oh let's have
this space like that would be interesting that could make us better as like as people if we just
get to know about your experience as well so just a little shout out to matt and i'll pass it on to
the next person.
Thanks, Ron.
I really appreciate that.
All right, Christopher, everybody knows who Christopher is.
Blonde Broker, welcome, welcome.
Brief intro, please.
Absolutely.
GM, everyone.
Thank you guys.
Matt and Veronica and Christopher.
Good to see you all again. And thanks for letting me join on your Quiet Friday spaces.
I would absolutely love to come back to these. I used to do spaces like five times a day with my
girl Melina over here. So it is good for us to be back and reunited. I'm at the rare Evo conference
here in Vegas. So definitely doing some IRL crypto stuff, marketing, and I'll be running around there.
If anybody happens to be here in Vegas, please say hello. I'm a content creator. I mainly focus on education in this space and breaking down
digestible content for my audience to listen and watch and also just spreading the good word of
crypto and have been advocating for women in finance to get into finance for the last six
years. I used to work at the New York Stock Exchange. So I've been in this space for a little bit,
but just been really having fun
and getting to know the Kawhi team
and everybody else here in this space.
It's so nice to meet you,
and I'll be happy to be hopping on a lot more.
Heck yeah, love that.
Education, huge, huge effort there.
Really appreciate everything you're doing.
If you're in Rare Evo, reach out. Give everybody up here a follow while you're at it, by the there. Really appreciate everything you're doing. If you're in Rare Evo,
reach out. Give everybody up here a follow while you're at it, by the way. Awesome. Okay. Next up,
we got Girl in the Verse. How you doing, ma'am? Hey, man. Happy to be here.
Yeah, really happy to be here. Thanks for inviting me. How can I intro myself? I kind of like to say now that
I'm consulting a lot because that's truly what I'm doing on the back end with a couple of
businesses right now and companies. I really have become the person who knows the guy who knows the
guy. So whatever job title that is, that's what I'm doing right now. But when I'm bored, which is every hour,
I create a lot of funny content as well. And I am a spaces host as well. And but it's weird,
because like, you know, I always try to say like, I'm a content creator, but I feel like I'm so much
more than just a content creator in the space. And I'm actually new to Kai. So I'm like excited to be here. And I'm excited to learn
more about Kai. And I as well am an advocate for women in crypto. I think like six years ago,
I was like trying to convince my girlfriend to buy Bitcoin. They still don't care till this day.
So now I've just decided to, to be a degen and to create content for the people here, because
I don't want to onboard the masses. I've decided that that is not for me. That is too big of a task
for me to do it. So I'm going to let, you know, Michael Saylor do that. Um, but yeah, I'm here
advocating for the women. So happy to be here with all my girlfriends. Like these are all my friends. I'm so happy to be
here. Heck yeah. I love that. Uh, quick correction. We are quiet network. Um, yes, correct me. Yes.
That's good. No, you'll, you'll figure it out soon enough. Really appreciate everything you do.
Yeah. Don't boil the ocean. Let, let Michael Saylor try to do that. I'm glad
to have you. Nice to meet you. All right. Next up we got Jen. How are you doing, Jen?
Hello. Hello. I haven't done spaces in a while, so I'm rusty, but I used to do them all the time
for event stuff and all the women on here, I know in real life and it's like,
I love all of them. So this is so so great I'm very thankful you invited me this is
my first Kwai Friday um know you guys from living here in Austin Texas where I'm based
just a little bit about me I own and operate an events production company but I think most people
know me here for doing the massive spreadsheet aggregation sheets dot xyz so anytime you guys
go to a conference and people send you events, that's usually coming from that spreadsheet.
And we pretty much post any event that we find just to help elevate the community.
We started breaking it down kind of by venues and just like what kind of event it is.
So if you're really into, you know, whatever you're into, whatever your BD goals are, when you go to conferences, you just look at the sheet and there you go.
They're all there.
But thanks for having me.
Absolutely.
Love that sheet.
I think we owe you for the pro tip to swing down to key West last weekend. So many appreciations connect to you.
Absolutely.
Many appreciations.
All right.
but absolutely not least on Holly.
If you're in the quiet community, you should know who she is.
She was up on a space recently from Collabland.
So go ahead, Anjali.
The J is not silent.
So I'm going to make a brief correction there.
So it's Anjali.
Happy to be here for my second QAI christopher said i might be on um in future
episodes so here we are so i'm excited about that and happy to see all these women here again
um so many of them are familiar to me most recently i got to see jen um at a pudgy event
i think it was in i want to say dubai right dubai i think dubai yes it was that's right so that was
super fun of Of course,
I knew about her work from before, but getting to put a name with a face is awesome, especially
when it's a woman. Yeah. Happy to be here. I'm one of the co-founders of Collabland. We are a
tokenized community platform on Telegram and Discord, and this is our fifth year in business.
And we just most recently integrated KwWI, which we're really excited
about. Their community is really amazing, top notch for sure. We love the enthusiasm and we
love all the excitement around the people that are involved with KWI. It's really a different
type of blockchain, which is attracting a different type of person. And I love that.
Yeah. Otherwise, that's about it. Look for more integrations, more adaptability, more
to do. Yeah, that's all coming.
Heck yeah, heck yeah. Major apologies, Anjali. Really appreciate the correction there. And
many appreciations for the assistance in integrating with Collabland. We recently just announced
some changes to our discord server
uh you know really enabled by collab land so if you're hanging out there in the audience and you
haven't tapped into our discord server you definitely want to peek that all right okay so
i got one question to kick us off and then hopefully uh i won't be the one talking up
here the topic is women in crypto. But I'm going to ask this
question. And, you know, this is not really a guided space. So feel free to raise your hand,
chime in, just have fun. And I think what I'll do is pass this to Crypto Queen first
to kick us off because I believe she actually has to leave early. Sad face,
I believe she actually has to leave early.
But many appreciations.
All right.
So the question is, any advice for women who are looking to get into crypto today?
Is there anything you would say to them or point them towards in order to get started,
help connecting with the crypto community and maybe specifically women in general in crypto? Where
do we find ourselves in crypto when we're looking for the others? Hey, thanks for the question,
Matt. And I wanted to say I didn't do a great job of introducing myself. I think I got nervous with
all these legends in the space, but I'm Crypto Queen. I'm a founder of SHIB Women. So I founded that in 2022 as a way to onboard, educate, and empower women in the space.
And I'm also on the core team of the Crypto Chicks.
So that's kind of what I do.
A few other things, content creation and support a couple of projects.
But yeah, super happy to be here.
Your question was, how do we get more women into the space?
And that is a wonderful question. I think we're making good progress every day.
You know, when I first got into crypto in 2020, I looked around and I didn't see a lot of a lot of ladies in the space with me in this gorge or telegrams or in actual spaces.
And so I decided, you know, that was going to be my goal to really help as many people, as many people as I can to bring in and to,
you know, teach them crypto in a safe way. I think that's just so, so important is to
bring them in so that they have a good experience and not to come into the trenches and get
immediately rugged and then leave forever. So, you know, just showing them where they can find
those resources. I know I'm not one to watch a lot of detailed tech YouTube videos,
but I'd love to go on TikTok and see some fun videos that tell me a little bit about crypto.
Just the basics, starting at those basic building blocks, including security,
direct them to their MetaMask Learn, their Binance Academies, or maybe to our Discord.
We have a private Discord where it's just safe resources
and you can go in there and know that any link you're going to click is going to be safe.
So just really helping them learn how to DYOR. We say that a lot, but we don't really tell people
how to do that. So teaching them about Token Sniffer and all the other resources, revoke
site, what to do if you get hacked.
I think that just goes a long way towards helping them have that good onboarding experience that keeps them here.
Heck, yeah. Love it. Lots of resources over there. Go ahead.
Are we doing hands up or can we just interject?
Either one, whatever works for you.
Because I was going gonna say i i agree
with crypto queen my first instinct as you were asking the question that's why i put the laughing
face was to basically say don't go on twitter um this is um for beginners because it's just like
you you can't you'll get lost in the sauce and it's like i was just on this show and they asked
me what's your favorite resource and like honestly quickly on my toes in front of a camera, I said, she fi.
But even you know, I'm not even sure about that. Because I've never, never actually done the she
fi course. But I know that, you know, Maggie is helping women understand crypto. But I'm like,
I'm like, crypto queen here. You know, I recommend my girlfriends go on
tick tock, go on the apps where they feel comfortable. And that's truthfully what I create
content on the other apps. Because I think that's where when that's where women are. So
my first instinct was to tell you, don't guide them to come to Twitter. But yeah,
I want to hear from other women as well. I'm going to jump into that because my response was go to Twitter.
So we're in different places on that.
When I meet women in real life, so I guess I just do in-person onboarding mostly.
When I meet people in real life, I say, you know what, check out my Twitter.
Here are a couple of other women in the space that I trust and who are doing good work.
See who they're
following and watch what they engage with. And so for me, Twitter is a great place for them to start.
And of course, I'm showing my age, but I'm not even on TikTok. So maybe that's a bit embarrassing
since I don't really know. But I have a 20-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son who are obsessively
on TikTok. Maybe that's why I don't do it. But what I tell women is, hey, follow me, see who I'm following, see what I'm doing,
and giving them some other suggestions for women to follow. Because here you really do get a quick
idea of what people are seeing. And that excites me. And then if they find a women's project that
they're interested in and excited about, buy the NFT and then join the community and meet the other people in the community and
start to kind of build a network. You don't want to just be diving into stuff. Absolutely.
Like you can't, this is not easy money. This is easy losing money. Right. And so doing the
research ahead of time is the most important thing. And yeah, that's what I say.
I say, just come to Twitter.
Well, I don't know what direction to go there.
Go ahead, Veronica.
I mean, over time, I just think it's not just for women, for everybody in crypto.
Like people just need to feel safe enough to be in here.
Like many people don't really want to
have the opportunity to lose 24 random words and then lose them like you know life savings
so we just need to come up with ways for not only women but in general like all normal people
who are not ready to go into such compromises to be comfortable using it so honestly as first step so all those email
verifications all those account plugins that people are used to could be a great first step
and could be a great intermediary so i really like the crypto queens comment on the making it feel
safe and like making the resources available to like um for people to know in case they get hacked or
how to not get, you know, attracted to phishing sites to go to revoke and then not have your
wallet connected to all this shit.
And then, you know, have the different wallets and just letting them know in the easiest
way possible how to accomplish safety.
And then once you feel safe, that's like, you know, the muscle pyramid.
Once you have the safety, you can continue working ahead and like earning potentially
money because like, once I feel safe, I can like, okay, what else can I do?
Maybe I could try things out.
So like for me, interesting enough, test nets were a cool thing because like during test
nets, the money is not real you can
just go to faucet get free money and then test things out which is kind of nice so just being
ready to do things having the safety to do things and knowing like easy resources for that it's a
hit for both women who value safety a lot and for nervous in general
for both women who value safety a lot
and for numbers in general.
Go ahead, CryptoClean.
Hey, I just wanted to respond back to Melina.
I totally fangirled her at Bitcoin Vegas,
so super excited to be up on the panel with you today.
And I did take the SheFi course,
and it is a wonderful resource.
If you're interested in a more structured program, definitely check that out. They have cohorts
that go through it together. It's online and it's also, you know, recorded. So if you can't be there
in person, you can, or be there with a group, you can check it out later, but it's really a great
resource and they do have scholarships that they offer. So you could potentially go for free.
They do have scholarships that they offer, so you could potentially go for free.
Heck yeah.
Shifa, I'm taking notes over here, ladies.
We got Shifa, Crypto Queen.
You mentioned a few other ones.
Crypto Chicks seems to be like a community.
You also mentioned a private Discord for women only as well, right?
So we have a Discord with SHIB women
and it's all crypto resources,
not necessarily SHIB, yeah.
Heck yeah.
Man, I wonder how many people are going on Discord.
When I tell my friends to go on Discord,
they'll never download that app.
But I'm like amazed
if you're getting women to join a Discord crypto queen.
I'm not going to lie to you.
I'm like, how are you doing it?
Cause like my girlfriends will not,
they won't even download X,
cause they hate Elon.
So that's a whole other thing,
I think it's gotten harder.
Definitely.
back in 2021,
everyone was on discord and it seems to be,
kind of fading away,
but it is a great resource,
like a library.
we're not super active in there every day, but they know that that's where they can go for the resources and keep them updated
and free. It's all free. Yeah. And it's really interesting in kind of what circles you're in.
I find, so I'm in a few different normie communities and those normie communities
are also using Discord. So for me, I've had the opposite experience,
which is interesting because I also thought
that there would be more of a turndown.
But you'd be surprised.
I definitely think people should give it a try
because there are a lot of other event communities.
Like I live in Colorado and Denver,
and I'm a part of a lot of different local hiking
and nature communities, and they're all in Discord. So I've been a little bit fuzzantly surprised and a few other interests that I won't
go into. But it's been great for that too. Like people do know about Discord, especially if you
get some gamer girls. Gamer girls absolutely know it. And I've found gamer girls, gaming girls like my children's age and their friends um are very discord native and
so for them joining a crypto discord um isn't such a huge stretch so it really depends on demographic
right who are you who are you speaking to i'm a gamer girl
i feel like a rare you know like a breed, a girl who is in crypto and games.
Like the double.
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of people coming from Web2 Gaming have actually shown a major interest in crypto, especially the esports community.
major interest in crypto, especially the esports community. So I think a lot of them are either
like gambling online or they're competing online for money and then they want to be able to invest
into digital assets because they've been trying to learn about crypto. So like my audience
surprisingly has a ton of gamers too, which I love that you mentioned Discord. My first instinct was
to say YouTube. And I don't know if that's the boomer in me, but that's how I got really started in finance and crypto was watching a couple of different channels.
But I also see the shift in TikTok. Like I think, Melina, you've done a fantastic job
with your shorts and reels that you've been putting on TikTok. I'm always watching those
and supporting you. So I would recommend people to check out your TikTok
page. And then I also agree with X. I think when you want to learn about finance, there's not an
all-in-one app that people can go to and use. I don't know why we don't have it yet. I'm just
always suggesting X because this is where I'm going to figure out earnings from a public company,
the quickest, live news. If some founder rugged a
project, we're going to hear it on X first. So I do encourage them to get on and I find it weird
when they're not, but then you do get lost in the sauce. There's a lot of crud on the timeline,
a lot of scammy things that happen. So it's kind of keeping that circle small. And I just recommend
women when they do get involved is to like, try get involved with a group I had a group of women that would watch the bachelorette every what is it
Mondays so I would show up to their house an hour early and we would talk about finances and I would
do a little PowerPoint presentation and to me that was my way of onboarding the masses and and
web2 users was trying to like ease their way into crypto and investing just by
talking about like beginner friendly content and kind of what I'm doing. And then some of
them all downloaded X accounts. So maybe I'll try to do the same thing with Discord and get
more people on Discord as well. Man, my mind's running right now um i got so many thoughts it you know i too run in a variety
of circles uh veteran over here i don't know a single one of my veteran buddies who are on x
but a few of them are in discord if they're gamers but really you know that group tries
to stay off of social media as much as possible um and then yeah it definitely seems to depend
on what circles you run in i'll just say
this i got some really good advice recently uh a suggestion to do like live streams on youtube for
builders and that was kind of eye-opening for me uh maybe i'm showing my age but i never looked to
youtube to learn how to build anything but it seems like you know the next generation is things are changing so fast
um okay i'm just gonna pause it one question just to see what you guys think about this
uh and then if we need to i got something else we can move on to but what about linkedin
any anybody talking crypto on linkedin that's like well anyways for anyways, for me, I just like, I don't see it there. People,
people swear by LinkedIn, but I truly don't see it. But then again, I think it like,
it depends. Like if you're a company and you're a business and you're trying to like promote,
like buy our wallet or, you know, join our thing, like maybe that, but for a content creator like
myself and community building, it's not happening on LinkedIn, but that's me again, I could be completely wrong. That makes sense. Um, talking about like different demographics,
I think LinkedIn addresses a different type of market, right? Like people who are, um, maybe
more corporate, but I have seen more people on LinkedIn in crypto over the last couple of years.
And they do now have shorts because everybody has shorts, right?
Like everyone's doing reels and shorts.
And so LinkedIn is doing it too, everyone.
It's kind of crazy.
I'm part of this subreddit called LinkedIn Lunatics, where it's like people are talking
about how LinkedIn is kind of turning into Facebook.
But all that to say, it is becoming more of a social space.
You are going to get a different demographic of people, but I don't think it should be slept on.
Okay. Okay.
I would actually say a bit more on that. I had the same experience. So I used to think of LinkedIn
as a bit like, you know, people just kissing themselves in there. I don't
know. Anyways, it's just that analogy, disregard, but idea was bad. Oh, I had bad ideas about it.
And then recently I started, you know, I just logged in in there because I knew some people
were getting out there. So I was thinking, what could we do for Kwai and I caught myself staying on there for like 30 minutes by
randomly getting like and you know wanking out on shorts that people have and I was like oh
some people are actually funny on there so they are I think doing a bit of a comeback I think
in comparison to Facebook I guess is a little fair quite fair
so I think they're doing better right now and the content and I found a lot of crypto people on
there and so practically enough like I met people on LinkedIn who I then met in real life and they
were not dorks they were like normal great people and like we we hang out and like went restaurants like I
expanded my friend group by chatting with somebody on LinkedIn and then we
went out for like a you know dinner and or beer or whatever so it was like
hilarious but I think LinkedIn is gaining a bit more traction now yeah oh
sorry I mean it just quickly interject. Yeah, go ahead.
Okay. Yeah. So what I use LinkedIn for, yeah, I check in on it at least every couple of days.
But before I'm going to a conference a week or two ahead of time, I just put it out there that I'm going to be going to this conference.
Send me a message if you're interested in meeting. And it's worked. I mean, the quality of the people that want to meet that are from LinkedIn versus when I put the same message on Twitter, it's a different situation. So I
definitely agree that it can work in conjunction with other social media, but you'd be surprised.
People, they're a little bit more, I mean, since they're saying who they are, right? Like they're
using their real name and usually their real picture, like it does impact the quality of the communication you have with them.
So I'd say, yeah, it's been good for me, too.
Same thing.
Like people have approached me or sent me messages on LinkedIn, and then I've met with them at conferences.
And they've all been real people.
I was going to say the app that I think everyone is truly sleeping on is
I've actually been thriving there a lot.
And all it is is copy paste,
Twitter threads,
Twitter threads,
Twitter threads,
and like great,
great ROI for me anyway,
like nothing to do with LinkedIn,
but I think like something people are sleeping on is threads.
Agree. Melina, when, when down for that little bit of time, I was on threads like hard
and heavy. So I don't keep it up as much as I did before, but it's definitely a great platform. So
check that out. So to answer your question, Matt, go on every app is what we've just concluded.
So to answer your question, Matt, go on every app is what we've just concluded.
That's what I'm getting out of this, right?
Like there's different demos in different apps.
You know, I'm kind of summarizing the last 30 minutes.
And, you know, not just for women, like Veronica said, probably goes for anybody.
Find a group, find some people that you trust and start there.
Love that.
Love that. Love that feedback. Um,
my brain's still running on what app to try next. I'll be honest. I need to check out threads. I don't think I've been on threads. Um, we could go down a rabbit hole here. There, there's so many
out there these days. Uh, but appreciate all the thoughts around the table um cool cool awesome all right uh shoot where
were we going from here okay so um i do have another question really just like uh maybe maybe
set up for like some shared experiences or whatnot but you know how can crypto you know really step
up its game and be a more welcoming space for for not just women but
you know any demographics out there that haven't really been keen on diving into the industry
okay i'm gonna dive in because i have a strong opinion about this and how do we become more
friendly or hospitable toward women i I can start with that. Women.
I'd say women are, this is a tough one. We're objectified big time, right? Everywhere.
Objectified for our looks, objectified for our bodies, objectified for millions of different
reasons. And it is stupid and it sucks. We know that. but one way we can help each other and promote more women coming
into space is to is to actually stand up for ourselves right number one don't be afraid be
yourself fully but also if you see another woman being attacked or comments being made like stand
up for them be like hey this is bullshit cut it out or like that's misogynistic cut it out like
new women that are coming to
space are going to see that. Like, look, yes, it happens because it happens. It happens everywhere.
I mean, yeah, it's frustrating when you think about it, but what can we do to feel more empowered?
We can speak up for each other. We can stand up for each other. And when people attack us
personally, we don't just crawl into a cave, but we actually stand up for ourselves as well.
That's the only way we're going to be able to get treated seriously in this industry.
And I'm speaking as a co-founder who is really pretty privileged to have a voice and be able to have impact on what goes on.
Even then, there are times where I have people speaking over me.
I have people that in a meeting will ask me a question and then ask my male co-founder the same question. And then I have to say, hold on. Like you just have to every time. And it's a lot of work and you have to be diligent. But standing up for yourself and standing up for other women, people see it and it makes a difference. And I see Crypto Queen has her hand up.
makes a difference. And I see Crypto Queen has her hand up. Yeah, I just want to echo what you
said a little bit. It is definitely, you know, kind of what we permit is what we promote. So,
you know, just stopping that behavior immediately and just not providing an environment where that's
okay. I've seen a lot of it myself in the space. And luckily, you know, the ones I engage with on a regular basis are super
supportive. Like, I mean, the men in my community are amazing, but you still do see that crypto bro
mentality sometimes. And it's unfortunate, but because you don't want the industry to be known,
you know, as a crypto bro culture. So, you know, we're changing. I think every single space we're
in, every single Discord and Telegram we're in, where we provide that softness, that kindness, that, you know, community building, I think it just goes such a long way towards having that inclusive environment.
And, yeah, you know, we've all been spoken over. We've all been, you know, called names and different things.
But I think we change that. It starts with us. And so just be in that change that we want to see.
Crypto bros suck.
Sometimes, but there are some amazing men out there.
I can't say that enough.
All right.
Any other thoughts?
And we could expand that as well. You know, personally, I consider myself a fairly masculine male and recognize, you know, my weaknesses and kind of lean on the feminine side of our better nature to lead the way in some areas.
So, yeah, any other ways, you know, crypto can improve the founders, the communities.
Is there anything we're missing here?
I think, yeah, finding your right community is really important.
I come from a very heavy Web 2 background.
And when I post things on my Instagram, my Instagram is private and it's only people that I know in real life.
So a lot of those people come from the high school, college, pre-web three for me. And so
when I start to share things, they're curious because they're like, your life looks completely
different. You're traveling, you know, you're doing all these things. Like what, like, what are
you doing? So I'll break down, you know, some of that to people and I've given them suggestions like
Twitter. and somehow every
time that happens they're always like I wound up in a space and they were making weird noises and
talking about this and are they autistic and just like all these other things and they're like is
this really what you do all day and I'm like yeah I think you just found like the wrong you know
sector of that so it's really important to kind of like help guide them in a certain way.
The other thing I noticed, there's two different kinds of people in your friend group that are
web two. There's the people that ask you what you're doing because they're interested in the
money aspect of it and they don't really care. And then there's the other half where they're
just like, oh, I'm really interested. And so when I talk to somebody about onboarding them,
I have to be really careful to see if they want to do the homework. So like, do you ever help somebody and they ask you a million questions and then you give all this time and energy and then like a week later, they're like, oh, I'm off to the other thing. Like I didn't really care. Like they didn't really care about it kind of a thing. So I kind of give little small tests so I don't waste the energy because when I first found crypto from Clubhouse, I really wanted to be into it. It was NFTs.
And I was like, I want to learn how this tech works.
I want to learn how to support artists.
I want to learn.
So I spent hours in spaces and then migrated to Twitter.
So I think anyone that's wanting to onboard men or women
or anything in between,
it's really important to kind of ask them,
do you really want to learn?
Because then you kind of find the difference
between those people very quickly if they're just in it to pick your brain or if they really want to learn? Because then you kind of find the difference between those people very
If they're just in it to pick your brain or if they really want to follow
I think to Jen's point,
like what you're saying really resonates with me because I also realized
that it's not,
Um, it's not, it's not even so much about coming to X. It's you realizing how much time you have
it's not even so much about coming to X.
spent to learn about this. So there's not only a language that is different, there's the time
and effort it takes to learn about this. So, um, for me anyway, what I'm starting to realize is
that I think eventually, you know, now we just got the news that, you know, Trump is allowing Bitcoin and crypto in your 401k in America.
I think it's going to be one of those things where, you know, how in the past, like businesses didn't feel like they needed a website.
I think that's what's going to happen.
So I I'm in this like headspace of I don't have to convince anyone.
Now I'm in the just watch me and learn from me. And if you one day want to,
then you'll come and reach out to me. Like it's the same when people ask me, is this a good time
to buy XRP? I'm like, yeah, for you it is because now you're interested, right? So I don't make it
about like, oh, you should have bought it, this and that. So I just think eventually it's not
even going to be, um, how do we bring in more people?
They're just going to have no choice to come in.
So that's where my brain is going on right now.
I love that.
That's so true.
I finally just set up my mom with an account for Coinbase.
And she was like, well, I don't really know about all this.
And I'm like, I'm just managing it for her pretty much at this point.
And then she's like, I told my retirement that about it and they said not to do it and i'm
like i love you right just just just trust me listen to but not the job my mom does the same
thing oh you know the lady down the street told me it's very dangerous what you're saying and i'm
like oh the lady down the street you're gonna rely on the lady down the street, you're going to rely on the lady down the street. Like, I know.
It's like we can't convince them.
That's why I'm in the headspace of let me just show what is being possible for myself in this new ecosystem.
Let me show what's possible.
And then just get people coming in naturally at their pace.
I'm also in the, you know, I don't know, because everyone's a listener for me today,
but I know some of your voices by heart, but I don't know who was saying this before, like,
oh, don't age myself. I'm in the age group where every, all of my girlfriends are starting to have
kids, which is also the biggest red flag. Like don't go teaching a mom in postpartum
crypto, like they couldn't care less. So also figure out where people are on their journey right now, too.
Absolutely. And one of the things that I was thinking about is, for example, like my therapist,
right? I have to pay her all the time, like every two weeks, I have to pay her. And I asked her,
since I talk about crypto so much in my sessions, I asked her, like, do you want to get paid in crypto? And she said,
yeah, you know what? I do. And so I've been paying her in crypto like for the last two years.
And she just has seen what's been going on. And that that first time after she gets that little
bit of crypto, now she has some Ethereum. Now she has some Bitcoin. Now she's curious because
it actually has to start with curiosity. Like, are you curious about this? Or are you just like, oh, this is what everyone's doing, so I'm going to do it.
Like, that makes a huge difference.
And so I like what Girl in the Verse had to say about, and I don't know your real name,
I'm sorry, had to say about let people come to you.
Yes, absolutely.
Let people come to you because you know they're curious at that point.
But you can also start mentioning it to people.
Like I said, I mentioned it
to my 70 year old therapist, and now she has crypto and she tells all of her 70 year old
friends about it. And you know, I just told her to set up a Coinbase account and I just
sent it to her there. But that's onboarding right there. So there are lots of different
ways to do it. But I'd say it has to start with curiosity.
However, sometimes curiosity doesn't come until people have a little bit of skin in the game.
So I don't know how we're going to do that full time with everybody.
I mean, Cloudland's doing a few different things around that.
But what we can do as women is like in IRL, just also bring it up, you know, in different opportunities like that.
I like that. I actually took that down as a note. I would love to start sending my friends some crypto just for fun. That actually
is such a brilliant idea. Thank you. It works. As soon as you get something, then you're like,
wait a second, what is this? What's happening here? And that's what, um, like excites you and
gets you curious so yeah good
I'm glad I think I'm glad I could be helpful I hadn't thought of doing that yet and that absolutely
blows my mind because I feel like that is the easiest way to get my friends on board instead
of just like bugging them every time I'm with them IRL about crypto um I could actually just
utilize what I have and get them interested that way.
And Anjali, I just wanted to say also, I love your story about your therapist. I hope you don't
mind that I use that to tell people. I would love to say like, I have a friend. That is probably
one of the most wholesome moments I've ever heard. And I really love, you know, when it comes full
circle like that, I never pressured my family into getting into crypto and waited for them to come to me.
And that ended up being my biggest win.
My family is my biggest supporters.
And now they will tell their friends about what I'm doing.
And they're essentially onboarding people into crypto that way when they're asking, you know, what is your daughter getting involved in?
And some of you guys have actually met my dad who comes with me quite frequently to the conferences and is a huge investor now. So, you know, getting, getting,
he's, he's brought me clients too. My dad's, my dad's insane. He's awesome. But yeah, I think
sometimes family can be the best way to onboard others too. So if you guys have siblings that
are interested in getting into finance, they're, they're sometimes some of the easiest to sit and, you know, educate on because they already look up to you.
So that could be a good way there.
Yeah, your dad's awesome.
I'll second that.
I can confirm about the sibling side as well.
I think that's a good avenue.
Like the way I got into crypto was through my brother.
So it was very helpful to have him.
And like, I looked up to him and he was just doing random things.
And I ended up working here.
Like he's not like that deep into it anymore.
I mean, he's still here.
He's still in the space, but like I got myself into much deeper trenches than he did.
So you never know how it will turn out.
One more thing I'm going to add on to that, which is something I do with my niece and nephew, is I got them both ENS names.
And I send them things to that ENS name, to their wallet addresses.
And my brother knows this, and it's exciting, and he loves it. And my brother knows this and it's exciting and
he loves it. And this is like Christmas, birthdays, whatever. Like it's a great way to get people
interested as well, because like they don't, you know, I could send them whatever, some Barbie
dream house, or I could send them some crypto. They value that, right? So it's like, oh, this is a way
for you to get my children involved
without me having to get my children involved. So even as gifts, like someone's having a baby,
like you could do it for them. Like that's, this is your interest. This is something that you
believe in. You're an advocate for crypto. I think it makes sense to give us gifts as well.
I love that idea. I do that as well. Sometimes it's gifts, NFTs, crypto, and it's
fun to come back, you know, they might ignore it for a year or so. And then if you know the chart
looks better, then they come back and say, hey, did you check that wallet recently? You know,
look at it now. And then they're like, they start to get interested in it and start to ask you those
questions. I also found a really good icebreaker and I wanted to see if you ladies
had other icebreakers or just misconceptions that you have to kind of fight against when you're
trying to introduce to somebody. But to use my, like if you have a crypto.com or any kind of card,
a crypto card, it's just a great way, you know, they see that and they're like, oh, what is that?
And then you can kind of open that conversation there. So yeah, I like to use my card a lot for that.
And merch as well.
You know, everybody's interested in what's on your shirt.
What does that mean?
And I just find that sometimes those icebreakers are so important.
Merch is such a good one.
My daughter wears a Pudgy Penguin Adam Bomb Squad collab bomber jacket to work every day.
And people ask her about it all the time. So yeah,
cute merch. You're wearing it. She's wearing it. She knows it's crypto related. She does not care
about crypto. But she'll be like, oh, yeah, this is the NFT project. And you know, it's about
crypto. So it's like, some merch itself is a great way. And there's so much cute merch out there.
The merch itself is a great way.
And there's so much cute merch out there.
You all rock.
Making crypto fun again, right?
All right.
Man, I'm learning so much.
We're going to have to follow up and do a whole lot more of these.
I'm a huge fan of having the feminine wisdom on the journey.
I just have one last question for you all before we wrap up.
For me, I look at marketing crypto and thinking about all the different reasons that people
get interested and are attracted to crypto.
For me, it was DAOs.
For a lot of the folks that I hang out with,
it was the concept of fix the money, fix the world.
And so that's why I'm at Quad Network.
That's why I'm really excited about what we're building over here.
But I'm curious, what really got your attention?
Was it just the friends and seeing what they were doing with it?
Or did you see some potential in the industry and where it's going?
Or was it just the really cool culture?
What was that that pilled you into crypto?
And if you could, what are you excited about?
What keeps you going?
I'll just go left to right around here.
Crypto queen, sorry.
Any thoughts? Yeah, I got into crypto through trading the stock market.
And it was just, I guess, the next fun, risky thing that I could do.
But, you know, once I learned more about it, I read Bitcoin Billionaires and learned about just the early history of Bitcoin and, it was created for and what it could provide.
And so I think just the becoming a vehicle for financial empowerment and independence,
you know, to provide ways for, you know, anybody, but particularly women, to change their financial
situation is important to me. And, you know, one thing that keeps me here is just to help them
reach those goals. Heck yeah.
Financial freedom.
Veronica, any thoughts?
Yeah, my brother first got me into crypto, actually.
So I think word of mouth works well.
And I wouldn't recommend the way I got into crypto because he like, if you guys know Axel,
If you guys know Axelor, at the time they were launching an ambassador program.
at the time they were launching an ambassador program.
So he was like, yo, do you want to do something fun in your free time and potentially earn
So earning money was also what got me personally into it as a main perk.
But he gave me Axelor docs and said, read this and write a blog and they'll get you
I was like, okay, I got it.
So since then, that's kind of how I've been approaching crypto.
I've been trying to get from the docs and trying to understand what projects do.
I wouldn't say that's always useful.
Most of the time, you just need to figure out the Twitter.
And sometimes you know from that that you don't even need the docs to see and go further.
But yeah, I would say just try to see
what people value.
And crypto has so many things to offer
and most of the time people value money
and there are so many, you know,
it's like the new primitive,
the new world.
So it's like the opportunity for this generation
especially to get into it.
Heck yeah.
Financial freedom, innovation, new opportunities.
Blonde Broker, what was that that first scratched your itch and got you interested in crypto?
Absolutely.
Same thing with the stock market.
I was heavily involved in the AMC and GameStop revolution. So when I became interested in crypto, for me, it was just another way that the little people could win.
And obviously, we want to continue to revolutionize finance.
And it's been fucking fantastic, honestly, being in the space.
And, you know, we're not going anywhere.
Every single week, there's new innovative
protocols that are coming out that we can talk about so we have plenty of content to educate on
and really cool blockchains that we can get involved in and a lot of really nice initiatives
and movements so I'll never leave but I will thank traditional finance for actually getting
me into crypto and decentralized finance. So
Yeah Heck yeah, heck. Yeah, all right girl in the verse
Sorry guys, I had to jump on a call I just came back and you called my name so I apologize
No sweat we're going around I'm just curious, you know, what initially got you interested? What was that unique aspect about crypto that got you pilled?
Oh, you know what? How can I put this? It was very interesting how I got brought on to crypto.
For those who don't know, it was my husband who was like, because I come from TV world. And he was like, you should do all this content in crypto, there's no women here. So I would say like,
off the bat, it was finding an opportunity to get in early in a in a new niche, that felt like I
could grow quickly. But I would say along the way, what I've realized in immersive, like,
But I would say along the way, what I've realized in immersive, like being in this space and learning about crypto and learning about opportunities was understanding know, like, so it really was an opportunity for
me to learn about a skill set that I didn't even know I could be interested in. And two,
it was opportunity for myself as a creator to grow and have fun and learn. And, and honestly,
even just the other day, I was like going through my content. And I was like, wow,
it's so incredible to see the evolution of how far we've come in the space. But yeah, I think for me at the very beginning, it was opportunity to understand
this new niche, get creative in a way that I think it was kind of like a clean slate. Like I
didn't have to like, look at anybody else, but really create content that I felt like resonated
with myself and a community that now I've grown to love and they love me right
um well what else can it really wasn't financial is really what I'm trying to get at it really was
not financial it was more of a how can I be creative in an industry that I had no clue that
I could be interested in and um yeah I guess at the end of the day, it was honing in on this idea that women were just
not taught this, and how can we bridge that gap, and how can more women show up and be themselves,
and then be this bridge for more women to join?
Love it. We got financial freedom, game-changing innovation, new audiences, new challenges. I love all that.
Yeah, definitely a difference from the crew that I tend to run with. Really appreciate it.
Jen, what initially got you interested in crypto?
Oh, man. So as mentioned earlier, I came from the app Clubhouse. But prior to that,
my background is in the beauty industry. So I've been a hairdresser for, oh my gosh, 17 years now and kind of scaled that to become a celebrity hairdresser. And in my
world, usually hairdressers, I can say this because I am one, like a lot of them are not
financially savvy and I didn't grow up in an environment like Girl in the Verse had mentioned
where women don't really talk about financial situations and kind of money is kind of
like a taboo subject in general being you know born in the 80s like people don't really didn't
really talk about that but anyway so while living in LA I bootstrapped a company for my own hair
care brand I also I also have a background in cosmetic chemistry funny enough like total nerd
in other ways but I was like just, I'm not really happy
in this space. I sold the company. I was bored and got on, um, Clubhouse because I started,
when I sold my company, I started a comedy podcast about my hair career that became wildly popular
on Apple podcasts. Very weird. And then I entered some spaces, um, with bringing some well-known
names to the Clubhouse app, wandered into NFT
space and was like, what is this? I'm really into art. Found out about like how they're purchasing
NFTs with Ethereum and all that stuff. And I really wanted to learn. I was like, wow, this is
really cool. And I didn't come from that background at all, obviously, as a hairdresser and owning a
company and, you know know manufacturing and all that
so i was like i can do this like this is really fun for me this seems to be like a really fun
community and it was 2020 2021 vibes then so obviously it was like a bull market and great
but i was like yeah this is something i want to do i got really invested and then started doing
spaces for events here in austin texas i found a community of crypto and nft people and then started doing spaces for events here in Austin, Texas. I found a community of crypto and NFT people,
and we started a weekly group.
And it became so popular.
Like every Wednesday, we would meet at Radio Coffee.
For anyone that's here in Austin or has been here,
we would get anywhere from the low end, like 15 people.
Sometimes we'd have 40 people a week back in 2021, 2022.
And so that's how I got into events.
That's how I started
aggregating different things. Cause I thought the IRL aspect was super important in this space to
get all us nerds off of the internet and into the IRL aspect, because that's where real ideas come.
That's where you meet your partners. That's where you meet really good lasting relationships. And I
think that's why I'm so heavy in the event space now. But what I would like to continue to do is just to kind of feed that flame to get people off their asses into an IRL setting so they can learn more about crypto.
They can see how it's changed my life and everyone else around me and my community members.
And so I think that's kind of my main focus and what I would I would like to see, you know, happen, like people becoming more excited, onboarding the right way, getting people excited about it. So that's my TED talk. Thanks for listening. I love it. Hear, hear. I say this
all the time. I know Christopher does as well, especially when we're chatting with our ambassadors,
get out there, meet people in real life. It just amplifies your potential online as well so heck yeah heck yeah okay uh angeli what
what got you interested in crypto and uh what are you excited about uh the first thing that got me
excited about crypto was nfts i mean like a lot of other women that came in during that time i'm an
art person i love collecting art i I love artists. I like to create
art myself. And that was a, I could understand that. I'm like, okay, I can buy this thing and
I can own it. Yes, I'm into that. So I would say NFTs is what got me into the crypto. I'm still
an NFT fan, Maxie, all the good things around NFTs. but what keeps me here is the global community uh you know
i'm an american i grew up in la um i didn't have a lot of access to people all around the world
before the internet but even when the internet first started um you know you're all in your
small little groups and so it was still like people i go to meetups in la with people that
i was talking to like we still had local, but crypto allows people from all over the world to work
You know, we have the same money now.
And so the kind of collaboration and coordination that happens with people all over the world
now is revolutionary.
And for me, being able to travel all around the world and have team members from all around
the world, I just have a lot of hope for the future.
Despite the fact that there's so many wars going on and there's so much division in the world,
I feel like crypto is an opportunity to come together, maybe solve humanity's biggest problems together,
get the right people in the same rooms together based on their passions.
That's why I stay.
Heck yeah. Hear, hear. the right people in the same rooms together based on their passions. That's why I stay.
Heck yeah. Here, here. I truly believe crypto is a huge part of the path forward for humanity writ large. Man, I have enjoyed this space so much. I've learned a lot. I've got a lot of notes here.
It sounds like there's some great opportunities to continue to make the space
friendly fun uh and safe uh so love that you know what what's bringing us into crypto you know we
wear many hats over here at kwai so i'm like okay okay innovative technology we got financial
freedom we got you know new opportunities and horizons, new audiences, in real life vibes that just can't be found anywhere else, NFTs and artists.
You can see my PFP.
Huge fan of that as well.
So I can't appreciate being able to host this space for you wonderful ladies and get to listen to all the feedback and thoughts and
experiences that you had along the way. So I got some work to do to internalize all this and
hopefully provide some more value to the Quiet Network community and follow up in real life
events as well. So keep your eyes peeled for all of that. Before we depart, I'm going to pass the mic over to Christopher and Kaibos,
the other two gentlemen up here on this space.
How are you guys doing?
Any thoughts based on the conversation today?
I'd say the biggest takeaway is just how impactful I think every single person on the stage is
in their own respective communities and then broadly what they're doing.
You're making a big difference.
You're making it easier for people to come on board, especially women who, again, this
space is historically just not had enough of, largely male dominated.
And, you know, I just respect and value everything you've said today.
I think all the experiences make a lot of sense.
And, you know, it's cool to actually learn the history and the reasons behind why you're
Yeah, thanks again for stopping on by.
I thought this was great, and I think we'll probably do it again.
Heck, yeah.
What about you, Koi Boss?
Still with us?
I love having strong women in space.
I've always been aligned to, you know, being an ally to women and making sure that I empower every woman I know around me.
So seeing, you know, such a legendary group of women being here and speaking, letting people know, you know, it's a safe space for, you know, women or in general, you know, anyone and pointing them in the right direction.
So to me, that's very important.
And I'm always excited to see strong women in the space.
Thousand percent. Little side note, my fiance's been harassing me this week. We're going to get
her onboarded this weekend and then we're going to point her at all these accounts up here. So
many, many appreciations to everybody in the space. All right. If you're new around here,
this might be a treat for you.
Quiet boss, give us a thumbs up
if you're good to wrap us out.
Thank you so much to everybody who tuned in.
Last call for final thoughts from the panel.
Anything from anybody, feel free.
Thank you guys.
We appreciate it so much.
And I definitely hope y'all continue to do these.
I would love to hop on more for sure.
And to the wonderful women up here who are speaking, you guys are phenomenal. much and I definitely hope y'all continue to do these I would love to hop on more for sure and
to the wonderful women up here who are speaking you guys are phenomenal thank you for being an
inspiration and I hope we can all connect IRL very soon if not definitely on spaces
me too thanks everybody for being here this is a wonderful experience hope to see you guys again
Me too. Thanks everybody for being here. This was a wonderful experience. Hope to see you guys again.
You definitely need to give all these accounts a follow.
They're making waves in the crypto space, so you don't want to miss it.
We are Quiet Network.
If you're new around here, we got a lot cooking.
Obviously, we'll be following up every Friday with even more spaces.
We got tech AMAs and what did you do last week and all that jazz pretty much every day of the week these days.
So give the account a follow.
We got a big August lined up for you if you're trying to get your hands on some quai uh we are
traded on mexy gate and l bank and a few others as well you can swap on let's exchange and we are on
the kraken roadmap so keep your eyes peeled for that uh let's see here. Tangem hardware wallet presale is going out really, really soon.
So there's more reasons than I can count for you to follow the Quiet Network account here
and all these people up here on this space.
We're all cooking so much.
So many appreciations for tuning in.
And I think at this point, Quiet Boss, feel free to wrap us out, sir.
It's a quiet Friday.
We back with the Winderman Crypto.
Be sure to follow him once.
BFP, hit the bottom corner of the space and give you our warm embrace.
We back here at 4 p.m. UTC on a Friday.
We kick it back with the strong women in the space.
We back up, push it all our women up.
