Thank you. GM Sabi, GM matey, let me just get this sent out, get the link sent out and etc.
I'll be with you in a minute bro. Thank you. Alright? Thank you. so
what's up what's up what's up big connect
good morning brother jm fam how's it doing how are you doing are you all right
it's doing good i had to use that opportunity
to do the what's up what's up have you ever seen that meme? Which one? The Big Connect meme where that guy goes on the stage
and he goes,
What's up, what's up, what's up, Big Connect?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Perfect opportunity, right?
You been good, though?
I've seen these shows firing off
and some recaps that look really fun.
Yeah, mate, it's been interesting uh i've been enjoying some
of the uh some of the interviews we've done recently you know we're just trying to how do i
say this we're just trying to avoid the circuit uh sebi like what what happened or what has
happened originally back in like you know originating say out of the cosmos ecosystem you know
is it like you'll get a project launching and they just want to be on everybody's show within
about the space of like five to seven days right so they literally they'll be on every show youtube
and blah blah blah and then like we want to be the people who avoid the circuits do you know
what i mean we want to do interviews that we want to listen to essentially but yeah mate uh so today marks the 60th show uh since we kicked off the like the
breakfast show like full time so we're pretty pretty happy about that so from february the
first this will be the 60th short of day yeah i should have came uh to this uh in nine shows and do a celebratory
69th show i feel like it only and then we have to do a 69 420th show of course all right so we
got to make it there do you know do you know that we just hit over 200 on the streaming platform so
like the recorded ones are generally kept for like the
interviews but we do do you know some they are like talking one where we'll like record it
because there's been something major happening in the markets or the news or something like that
but we've uh we've just clocked in with the last ones we've just clocked in 202 recorded shows on all streaming platforms so i'm pretty happy about that that's
from uh that's going back to uh august 2022 that's not too bad like sebi right that's not too bad
that's a lot of shows i uh i'm i'm excited to share with you our plan at Alpha Growth where you've inspired us. You and Giga Agency have
inspired us essentially to do the show, to do an Alpha Growth, not a show, geez, a podcast
for Brian, right? Brian has like all of these amazing ideas. He is the, essentially the alpha that allows us to grow.
So let's get him in front of people. Um, to bring that, to bring your point back where you said,
Hey, I only want to do interviews and I don't want to be part of the circuit. Like we're
starting the show and it's not like, uh, you can't ask to be on the show type of deal. It's a,
Hey, we have a list. And right now we
have a list until the end of the year of companies we want to interview because we know they, uh,
they probably could work with us, but also like our people want to know about them. Right. So
it kind of works hand in hand. If our ideal customer profile in terms of like an audience and to build our brand
is following a group of people um that's going to be like your red stones and arbitrons and mantles
and yellows so that's what who we're going to be starting our our podcast with it'll be a video
podcast with brian um and how we're how we're doing this is instead of using the budget I got on advertising,
I'm like, I'm tired of making things that are, you know,
oh, brand on brand, advertise, right?
Even if we could pick the show, right?
And the subjects, there isn't a level of like, okay,
how do we make this special?
And not like everybody else's.
Because, dude, how many Blockworks podcasts are there?
If you look at the design, it's literally like Canva design.
They're on Canva and they're making these thumbnails.
But what if we hire grassroots, crypto-based artists that make the most beautiful settings and scenes?
So that's exactly what we did. So Kyle and I, the marketing team over at Alpha Growth, we essentially said, hey, who's our ideal list of artists that we want to work with?
And so far, we have around like five artists that are in our top 10 and we have our top two, right? Uh, and I'll shout them out. It's Slaughtermelon,
Sergeant Slaughtermelon from ghouls, base ghouls. Um, Ooh, um, I love the community.
And then, uh, mech.txt, who is a Tezos. He's one of the leading Tezos artists So taking their art, making that the intro GIF, right?
And a little GIF animation on a beautiful setting
Is something that's really, really exciting
So that's the show
The first one
There's a couple of things right there's the thing is we we we all know that
we are firmly living in an attention economy right oh yeah and where attention is money essentially
right you know knowledge is power right and attention is is revenue and there is so much
out there that's vying for your attention like constantly and i also feel
that as we become more sort of technologically advanced you know we've got like ai and stuff
like that i actually feel like our attention spans are getting worse or shorter because we're being
exposed to that much content you know what i mean so people seem to be sort of now kind of becoming a little bit
selective and if you're vying for attention in the attention economy that's where like the
front line of the battle lies that is literally ground zero right yeah and that's that's why
we're taking this approach is like we've been on ground zero for a while now.
We know that... I'll just give you this bit of alpha.
I ran a content funnel for a compound growth program that got 50 million views from a page with 3,000 followers.
The way we did that was hyper-optimizing advertising on Twitter to crypto natives.
So what we saw was if we did a brand-on-brand advertisement, our engagement rate and therefore subsequent reach was a unit of one.
It was the baseline.
Brand-on-brand.
Hey, Compound's working.
Kelp. Woohoo. That it was the baseline brand on brand hey compounds working kelp woohoo that was like the baseline from there we then tested
memes and videos memes did just as good as videos
But they took you know one tenth of the time to make so memes were the winner
from But they took, you know, one tenth of the time to make. So memes were the winner. From advertising with memes and essentially taking a meme and where we're using this is on like the first post of a thread. So the hook, right? So using a meme to hook people into a thread about the compound ecosystem. The next step from that was a scene, like a retro, I don't know if you saw our beefy
campaign, but like it was a milkman walking to the door and it was essentially built like,
we just put Ethereum logos on the milk cartons. So it looked like he was just delivering a ton
more Ethereum and a ton more Arbitrum or whatever campaign we were running for that time.
That was the highest performer.
It was like this convoluted setting that was,
had the style,
like the retro style,
which was the brand theme that we were going for.
that's what people want.
Like people want this,
and bringing it back to your point is like the reset from the short form
world is back to quality,
back to, uh, like you're, you have to pick a side you can either be ai slop or and maybe not slop you know if you if you're
really good or you can be delegating and building relationships with artists who will never go out of style and fund them and support
them and and uh i think that's something that i'd rather invest my time in building equity in and
also you know sebi yeah we've we've been through this so you know that we've done like 24 uh music
nft releases in 24 months now right we dropped our first on 420 uh 2023 which was the
single imagine the smell since then up to sunday we just dropped a new ep on sunday so we did uh
rap hip-hop oh i didn't know that oh bro we've all right yeah, Finn, who Finn's the guy who does the archiving and editing for, uh, for the like space, the Twitter spaces on all, uh, on all the streaming platforms.
So Finn's been rapping since like 2008 and a couple of years ago, we got him to start doing it and putting on the blockchain, you know, but he's also been making the wraps like like crypto related and stuff or he was in the day so dude yeah we did uh we actually just dropped uh completed the full 16 track album
uh on new year's eve we dropped like the last single we dropped the last ep four tracks and
then we dropped like the full album as an airdrop to people afterwards but you wouldn't believe what it's like the journey
it's been to acquire artists and to like utilize them and to get someone really good who can depict
the kind of vision that you want like i'm telling you people don't realize how valuable like artists
digital artists can actually be in this day and age right now the good ones sebi you know the real high quality really like
people that were on point yeah and uh sound is that next element so basically we're we still
have a limited budget to get uh this art and these people like the two guys i shouted out
they have like a collective 50 000 followers right so they're a distribution channel
within themselves and super talented in-demand artists so what we're thinking is like okay what
we're getting from them is one composition so we're getting one landscape type uh like a setting
or a you know banner type of thing And we need to make that work for the
background of this podcast. We need to make it work for the intro of this podcast and, um,
and the outro as well. And I say that because we need to incorporate sound, right? If we're only
getting a composition and myth, we're lucky. It's going to have like an animation. It's going to have an animation It's going to be a gif What we need to do is get sound
So, Rack, I'm going to
Get on you for
What's it called?
These sounds
I don't know if you have a connection
I've just put the thread
The pin thread
In the nest up above
In the Jumbotron yeah so it's this is
not fully complete because we've been doing a lot of work recently I actually get on Twitter and
just upload the new videos but we've got an absolute like shared tone of music and art on
that thread there's at least I think probably i think we're only missing maybe about uh six tracks
so there's probably about like 18 18 20 tracks up there because obviously i've put some uh
lyrical versions you know we were doing like a lot of lyrical versions because we started making
videos as well but yeah finn finn is exceptional at music beats raps uh he does like you can hear he's like rap music on all of our
like stuff on spotify but that's the that's the thread up there dude with the foot like
it's not the complete discography but it's like quite a bit of it i think let me tell you when do uh ah interesting right so we haven't updated this since uh october uh so october last year
so it's quite a few months out now like six months out i do need to update it we've got
the three tracks of that last ep we did uh ciphers on here so we'll have dropped happy holidays we'll have dropped their victory lap on
inauguration day we'll have dropped uh the full ep we'll have dropped the full album i'll
definitely have to get it updated but yeah man hit me up i tell you what semi i was thinking about
this after east denver brian's a really you're talking about you know he's alpha that gives us
growth brian's like a really good face of an org whether it'll be alpha growth whether it'll be like
something else you know these like focal points where you've got he could be the CEO of Starbucks
you know he's like that you know he's that type of persona very uh very good with like it's like
that CEO archetype and I think we're missing out exactly what you're saying and not yeah but you know how some crypto people can be awkward to listen to
they don't make it like sound cool and you know you'll have an interview and then somebody will
say something like you'll have like uh cane from like synthetics share like this crazy backstory
and alpha from crypto and then the interviewer is like oh oh that that's yeah that's really interesting
It's like you're not gonna like talk about how that's literally history or like you're not gonna chime in on any like personal note that from that time
It's like all these podcasts and shows are so unrelatable
Because it's like
Well they're so generic what they are
They're so generic so it's almost like the interviewer Just like recitals the same format
Constantly where
Because they're a team that gets paid
And they want to go to the run club
At 6pm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
That's why people are
Doing this, that's why they're lazy
We approach
Every single interview
With its own bespoke
Kind of dynamic
No two interviews on Rack FM are ever the same
You know sometimes
We'll know someone really well
So we don't have to delve into a back story
You know sometimes we don't know people at all
Therefore we want to hear their back story
But you know what elements of their their backstory are you really interested in?
How much is relevant to what you're actually talking about, you know?
How did you get into crypto?
No one cares.
How are you making people rich today?
Do you know, I started actually doing spaces.
I've been doing Twitter spaces since, and it's the first thing I've ever done in like podcasting yeah but uh i started doing them in october 2021 so they're coming up four
years this year yeah i did i did one just after the juno genesis dropped and then i did a p2e
like gaming meta one uh the month later and then i took a little break i'd only done two
uh october november and then i took a little break i'd only done two uh october november and then i took
a little break over christmas and then we had the juno chain halt at the beginning of 2022
and i've just been basically running them full time since then and then it became officially
like rack fm like towards the end of 2022 morning red eye hello brother good morning
we're just talking about content creation here.
GM, GM, I saw that little red light flash on the top left and had to make a quick last second pivot from what I was about to say.
Good morning guys.
Ah, well, we're hitting nifty 60, right?
You know what I mean?
So it's, Red Eye, you know we went live on the 1st of february again full time five days a week on breakfast show yeah uh it felt like it wasn't that long ago
that i remember you guys starting to you know spin these up much more regularly
yep it's 60 shows since the first of february pretty and that's not counting the extra interviews
and stuff that we've done but sebi's coming to talk about some pretty interesting crack uh they're
moving into the uh podcast scene or the well they're expanding into the podcast scene as one
of their like additional like sort of avenues for want of a better word but he's talking some pretty
cool stuff yeah they're teaming up with some artists and Using the power of the maiming and stuff like that, you know, but I'm just saying red-eye like Brian
He's kind of got a knack of making like stuff kind of sound cool and interesting
Do you know when you listen to these interviews and they're just as boring as hell and you're like off fuck up turning this off
like do you know what I mean?
I do well, I
Yeah, every time Brian comes in here and and chats it's always like he's got something
new so i always love that and well you guys are also older than me and he's got kids and so he
also has like a nice nuanced perspective uh let's say like he's got a lot of Capacity to love
Like you can tell that
Which is cool
Which I'm sure makes it nice to work with him
And like do other stuff with him
So yeah I always love seeing him
Do you know what's one of the most important
Commodities in a human being
In my opinion right
And stop me if I'm wrong here
If you're in this game
it needs to be relatability you need to be able to relate to someone on some form of level because
if you can't if you're kind of watching people that are just not relatable whatsoever it kind of
it's not that it makes it disingenuous, but it takes away that human essence, that human quality that makes you want to stay engaged.
Do you know what I mean?
I mean, we're just talking about the attention economy, right, Sebby?
Yeah, Brian has this funny hiring practice.
He has four things.
And the first three are almost like bullshit compared to the last one, which is like, can they do the first three are like almost like bullshit compared to the last one which is like
can they do the job like you know are they you know gonna show up on time like i think those
are the first like the essence of the first few the last one is my favorite and it's would i hug
this person right like brian has this capacity to love? He's not like everyone else in crypto. He's a real life human being who has a family, he's a good person.
And if the team can't, you know, share that, if they can't, you know, share that value at least, then I think that it's not a fit, right?
We work a lot together as a team and we are very honest with each other right and if you're gonna work for some of crypto's
biggest names and like like promise the biggest deliverables uh you know sometimes the industry
at the time you have to just like like structurally be sound and people you could teach people about
looping like i could teach you about crypto loops. I can teach you about who we use to distribute our incentives,
but I can't teach you how to be a good effing human.
Like at all.
that's like your mom's job or your dad's.
So I like what you said at the beginning,
because you know,
I used to run before I quit like high school.
So I used to run my teams of teachers here.
So for six years, I was a lead teacher right and i would like i'd be in control of all the foreigners
in like the english department right well english some of them were doing the maths and the english
programs or the stem programs and i always used to see like undy we used to get a lot of new
teachers right my company yeah fresh off the plane went through the training and they'd come into a program that we had like in schools all over thailand
and i'd literally say to them you know what's the most important quality uh in a teacher
right number one most important equality above everything else and they'd always give me this
about oh you know being prepared and having that like structural knowledge and you know being
empathetic and being patient and i'll be like no just be there like it's quite simple like you can
be the most prepared teacher in the world but if you're not there then the kids are not being taught
like the number one priority for a teacher is to turn up and be in class like every day all right
yes we might get sick from time to time but it's not like you know you're in a manufacturing job
where you'll wake up on a monday morning you've been out on a sunday night you're
a bit hungover and you're like i'm not going into dail's ringing a sickie as a teacher you just
don't get that luxury so when you were talking about you know how does the interview start or
whatever or you know the process of like evaluating people like will they be here will they put the
tat like in my line of work my professional work that's all
i cared about like everything else you know you can teach preparation you can help people become
more organized more prepared more empathetic have more patience right how to deal with troublesome
kids you can teach all that right in real time on the floor but if you're not there
the kids got no teacher right it's pretty simple
you know yeah it's very true and i think it's like kind of like a a testament to how much of uh
like how weird crypto the crypto world is i think like 90 of what we do is just like uh making sure
people don't scam us right with schooling that's not quite the case so the hug factor is not quite
as important and and you find there's nowhere to hide in crypto right you either know what you're
doing or you don't you either know you're like you failed or you don't do you know what i mean
there's no hiding in crypto i think getting spot bullshit a mile away you know yeah the the only
hiding that you can do is like normie farming where you're just like a non and you run these like uh rage bait and like
clickbait gambits and then rug people and then you just make a new anon account like that you buy
that's the only way to hide that's never good like you can't like you don't probably don't sleep well so yeah
i would rather be in the open be super huggable put my first name out there uh where you can like
google me and see like my real estate license when i got it when i was 18 and like all this stuff
that like adds to the story and the trust and the the inverse of what crypto is is like this like black box so that's
my take i do have to jump in two minutes um all right seven you were giving us some updates so
i'll tell you we're getting some more speakers in i'll tell you what it's recorded so you've
obviously we were chatting for quite a while but uh yeah it's a so the content creation you guys
have decided to take advantage or leverage the podcast side
But you're trying to do it in a bit of a different way
Just I'll say we've got some new listeners in
But yeah what's the next step for you guys
What's the sort of time scale
Time frames looking like
Beautiful okay
So in an ideal world we're getting two shows
Per week done
A show is Brian interviewing the head of growth for, say, this week.
It's going to be Redstone.
Today at 1 p.m. Eastern, Brian's interviewing Mike and Jacob from Redstone and Fastlane.
They are the OEV engine for Redstone. Fastlane enables the OEV
auction in the same block. So that's today. The next week is Arbitrum and a company called Yellow.
They're a market maker. I just got the art while I was in this space for Arbitrum and I'm like
getting giddy about it. It's also my number one artist is the person who's doing the art while I was in this space for Arbitrum and I'm like getting giddy about it.
It's also my number one artist is the person who's doing the art for Arbitrum.
And Kyle's number one artist is doing the artwork for Redstone.
So we're just extremely excited about that. So Redstone's coming out Saturday because that's when we get the art and Monday.
And then, yeah, from there on, it's with chain names.
So we're going to be doing an interview with Mantle.
They agreed we're going to do one with Kelp and Renzo and Mode.
And it's going to be awesome.
It's not going to be any sort of like circuit.
It's going to be what we want to ask them because the perspective is, hey, we're going to ask you the hard questions.
We want to know what your token is used for.
We want to know how you guys use that token to make growth.
And Brian's going to put this person essentially in the hot seat, but like a friendly hot seat
with the understanding that we know best as well.
So I think anyone watching is just going to get a ton of value and it's going to look
really pretty.
And if we can work together to make it sound really great, I really appreciate that too.
Sebi, do you know that we did this with Brian before?
So, you know, Brian came on a show when he was doing the Carver stuff back in 2023.
harvest stuff back in uh 2023 yeah so uh we had our artists create like a specific like one-on-one
uh for that particular show which was with like the raccoon and obviously but it was absolutely
awesome uh mate if you are looking for some new artists in the future just hit me up because i
i've got a couple of kids i can show you samples and stuff of what they've done but i've got a couple of kids who are really really really good i mean i don't know what you
guys pay for your art uh well and always have that conversation like offline or whatever
yeah yeah yeah if you if you i'm not gonna
oh i lost you there i might have spotty connection yeah i lost no i lost robo as well
okay well i gotta jump this has been awesome i'm uh it was great for the next ones likewise talk
oh robo gabe what's going on, man?
Yeah, I was such a sorrow of a robo.
Yeah, we'll see if he's able to keep it up.
I don't know.
His phone might have died.
Who knows?
He could be getting mugged on the streets of Bangkok.
It's hard to tell.
Sometimes.
By a ladyboy.
And he likes it.
Oh, it's recorded.
He'll get a crack at it.
He comes back and listens.
I kiss the ladyboy and I like it.
I'm a bit slow. I kiss the lady boy and I like it.
What you got going on today?
Oh, preparing a launch.
Well, another platform launch.
Platform? What type of platform?
It's a 246 club, it's called.
So it's a landing restaking that does looping between Morpho and Aave.
Is this something... Are you a dev or do you just work with a team of developers building this?
Well, I'm actually a curator on Morpho and now soon Euler also.
Oh, nice. Oh, hell yeah. Nice.
So that is actually what I do.
And I'm a main curator now for also Falcon Finance, which is the new stablecoin from DWF Labs.
Which will be bigger than EFINA.
Oh, it's recorded.
