I absolutely love that Twitter intro music. It makes me feel like I'm in the most plushest elevator in the world, but let's get started. We have Roraz, we have Vlad, we have the team from Photon. So this is an Echnell series focusing on cohort one of the Radix, Radix grants program. We've recently released
a blog to accompany this as well. So, I'm going to go into a little bit more of the background of our two exalted founders. I'll post a link to that shortly underneath this so everyone can catch up on it. We can then go into a little bit more about the company, what they're building, what they're delivering, a few more specifics, as I think
the community would like to know. Now before we start, if we get everyone to please like and retweet this, it really helps with the engagement and really ups the chance that more people can discover these fantastic projects. As we go through the Twitter space feel free to pop up your hand if you have a question or you'd like to contribute, happy to make this a bit of a
and open forums for discussions and we'll take questions at the end as well if you prefer to wait till the end. So let's get it kicked off. I think we'll start with you've liked this you are directly on my right. Can you give us a quick introduction of who you are?
How you and who you are and how you discovered radics and Raris will move on to you afterwards and we'll get into the questions, get into the details. Yeah, hello, so hi, my name is Vlad. I'm one of the two co-founders of photon. I'm a designer by profession.
and BI met Rarish a couple of years ago and we decided to work together. So I have a background in graphic design but usually I do all kinds of designs.
Yeah, how did you how did you come across how do you come across radics? I guess I'm always interested in the story So what was the process if you sort of discovering radics and getting to the point where you wanted to launch a project sort of on radics and focusing on on the NFC space So I heard for a time on a board that I
In 2017, kind of middle of the year, friends sent me a link to kind of check the project because back then, there were a lot of ICOs happening and you didn't really kind of knew what was real, what was not and if they were inflating the claims.
So I started digging into the white papers and what the team has accomplished by that time and I was kind of really impressed with what Dan was doing. I saw also a video of his payments system and that really hooked me up.
Since then I kind of stayed with the project and was waiting to start building on top of it. At that time it also overlapped with projects that I already started with Raresh to build with Edelmaker, which was a platform
for supply chain and logistics and we were hoping to integrate some blockchain for tracking these physical items through other whole supply chain. Okay, love it. And did you had you always wanted to do an NFT project or a marketplace
of something in that space obviously being a designer or being in space since you know 2017 and probably early you would have seen all of this start to develop and and a whole industry pop up around around the creator economy and and a thesis that always always a name for you.
Back then we didn't really have a focus on NFTs because also NFTs back then were not singing crypto. They started quite later to reach. But we were looking into kind of DLTs to build our platform and from our research
the stage of crypto was not really where we wanted it to be in terms of easiness for developers to build kind of also the features of the DLT platforms were really rudimentary. So was pretty early, although
the kind of enthusiasm was a bit over the top back then and that's why we had the bubble that kind of happened in 2017-2018. Yeah, because the enthusiasm led to a lot of new entrance in the market and a lot of them left after getting
quickly but we do have a few to stay on. Yeah, I mean for us it wasn't such a big issue because we already started working on this idomeaker for a while and we were working on the interface the UI for these logistics kind of application and we
