This book is going to give you every possible explanation case study and usage for this technology to explain why this is not

She helped us beat up the ideas to make sure it works
But what it does is it demystifies that it provides a framework for success and gives executional considerations
So people can understand where the space is like the framework is meant to be timeless

This is a tremendous question because you know
When you are like when you're writing for two years about a space that is constantly evolving a few things happen
So i'm going to answer kind of a different question
But it fits what you're saying and i'll get to that which is number one
You have to be really convicted in what you're doing and you have to beat up your ideas

Um, they're, you know loyalty rewards reset at the beginning each year much like
Any other loyalty system airlines hotels, etc, right? You carry something over and you start over
And one of the things I think that I probably changed my mind on
Was this idea that it's like look like we think of this idea of like if you know, you know
Uh apple issues in nft or disney
They can't just say you have this and forever we're pouring money into it because that's not a sustainable real business model
They have to think of ways to make this where they provide value back to the consumer to create an aligned incentive structure
Right. So the consumer does have incentive to wrap the brand
But also they actually have to have that real financial reason to do it not that it's about that
But there is a balance to be had where consumers
And and ticketings like or or or musics like one of the best examples, right if you like an artist before they were cool
Um, and then they become really popular, right the right to buy things the right to get potential free things
Like that will drive up the value of the nft the artist can collect royalties. Everybody wins
And so really thinking through that idea of like not lifetime utility or not lifetime membership
That is free things everywhere
But lifetime utility and where that ties in with the company
While still allowing the consumer to get the benefits of holding the nft and using the software correctly
There's like this delicate balance that I think as I went through the book
Like you can't just only program back to the og's because then there's no incentive for a new person to join the ecosystem becomes
Hierarchical it becomes oh, well, I was just here first and I squatted
So I think like that concept in my mind shifted a little bit to okay
So then how does the company then provide ongoing utility where it's still beneficial to the consumer?
But the company is also able to utilize it in a way that's beneficial to them
And finding that sort of balance and how to thread the needle was something that we did a lot of evolution on
Do you guys discuss because I know it's very important like so would you with starbucks?
I don't think they are a partner with uh vainer uh vander media because like I heard his

They're helping build reward programs, uh on the blockchain for different like major corporations. Um, is that kind of some stuff that's

It is there is tech and cost prohibit

So it's my hope that like someone will read to your example
The starbucks example and look at it and be like oh my god loyalty rewards get it
This makes sense for the blockchain look how they're using it
And then somebody says I can build out-of-the-box solutions for this because in the 90s

Like when I was you know in seventh grade in like the mid 90s
Like if I had a line of code off the whole thing just looked like a broken line of text
And if my sister got a phone call kick me offline because we use dial-up, right?
Like now the technology has improved
And what i'm hoping is somebody sees something like that loyalty rewards example picks up the book and says
I can build an out-of-the-box solution because everyone in this space could go start a square space
Today and have a website up tomorrow
And I want somebody to do that for nfts
I want somebody to do that for web3 and I want someone to look at the loyalty rewards specifically because in my mind
99% of us businesses are small businesses
They're the ones who need that loyalty reward to help bring drive things forward and that's what I want to see happen out of this book

We have a shared sense of identity and community and so like the pudgy penguins
The identity and community is they get nothing out of a pudgy sale of plushies really outside of like one member

And so what we want to do is make it so that anybody reading this if there may be especially their sections

We set up time go and so we got to read it for um, which by the way
It's exhausting to read and try to do it for like six seven straight hours. Um, but it was awesome
