So you will be the only one joining us today to speak about Blocktopia, Paddy from Blocktopia, right?
That's right.
Okay, fine.
So we're on time.
I guess we can get it started right now.
That's fine with you?
That's perfect for me.
So what we wanted to go through first would be like a personal intro where you will tell
us a bit more about you, yourself, your path to crypto, how you finally came to it and
how you came to Blocktopia, which is a metaverse project based on Polygon, if I'm not misled,
but we'll dig into that later.
So yeah, personal intro first, how you came to crypto, how you came to Blocktopia, and
afterwards we'll do a review of the Blocktopia project overall, I guess, more in general.
And we'll dig a bit deeper into it afterwards with more specific questions.
What do you think about it?
Sure, that sounds good.
Yeah, I'm happy to dive in.
The floor is yours.
Okay, perfect.
Well, look, first of all, thanks for inviting us on.
It's great to be here and speak to the QCoin community.
It's been a little while since we've done that.
So hi, everyone.
I hope you're all okay.
Yeah, in terms of my personal journey, this has taken me back a few years now.
I think I used to do quite a lot of AMAs around 2021 and the launch of the Blocktoken,
where I talked a lot about kind of my history and how I came to the project.
But to sort of recap, I went to university too many years ago now to try and recall off
the top of my head.
But that's where I met my business partner, Ross.
And some, I guess, 20 years on from that, Ross and a few people that he'd been working
with were already, I guess, crypto OGs.
They'd been working in the market for a very long time.
And my interest sort of peaked probably a similar time to where we are now in the last bull run.
So around 2020 is when I really started getting into crypto.
We got our heads together, really, because we felt like, and as a newbie at the time,
it was certainly something that I felt was that there's a pain point as to, well,
how do you even really get started?
How do you know where to turn to?
What can you trust?
What's useful information?
What's just a KOL getting paid money to sort of shill a token?
So we had this idea of pulling everything together into one space.
And I'd worked, my background is working for some big companies in the UK,
the likes of BT, Sky, and on the kind of commercial and marketing side.
And so I guess I brought a certain perspective as to how we could do that,
how we could look at what trends are in the market.
We could have gone down the route at that point, I guess,
of making something in the Web 2 space.
But Web 3 was starting to become a hot topic.
And really, there's too much information to sort of pull together
and put on a website or put into an app.
So it had to be something bigger and more immersive than that.
And that's where the idea from Blocktopia basically started to be formed.
Okay, so you were a part of the co-founders, correct?
Correct, that's right.
Okay, nice.
So, yeah, I guess this is a partnership that has been going on
between Whocoin and Blocktopia for a while,
but maybe not all of our audience is aware of it.
So can you give us, like, an introduction to the Blocktopia metaverse overall?
Of course, yeah.
So I think I've slightly touched on it there,
but we're building an immersive environment.
It's built in Unity, which is a gaming engine,
and it's integrated with blockchain technology too.
I guess the first point, and this is an exclusive right now,
which we've not mentioned to anyone,
is that we're launching Blocktopia on the 11th of December this year, 2024.
So that's when we're planning to put our MVP live.
We've built a space to bring together a whole host of people, really.
It could be crypto enthusiasts, gamers, entrepreneurs, investors,
people who want education,
and people who are just interested in the latest content
from a variety of different sources.
Our sort of overall vision is to build a 21-level virtual skyscraper,
and the idea of that was to represent the 21 million Bitcoin supply.
Our MVP includes a few less levels than that,
but we're kind of building them every day, really.
And I'll come on to what I mean by that in a little bit.
But each floor really serves a unique purpose.
So we've got experiences ranging from networking with individuals,
education, entertainment, gaming, e-commerce,
and just a huge amount of content from all over the internet.
And they're on the world's most...
We've kind of themed those around the world's most popular topics.
But, I mean, look, our bread and butter is the crypto level.
That's a dedicated space within Blocktopia.
It houses the virtual HQ of major crypto brands like KuCoin.
And it's really a level where we want crypto education
to be at the forefront, engagement, community building
with brands like KuCoin and their presence,
marking a pretty significant or pretty significant milestones for us
because we're integrated tier one crypto brands
and a tier one crypto exchange into the metaverse,
which is, you know, that's a great thing for us.
The technology allows thousands of people to enter Blocktopia concurrently,
which basically means at the same time.
So anyone can come in, socialize,
and they can do that together through live chat or a text chat.
It doesn't matter where they are in the world.
They can stand together.
They can consume the same content,
and they can discuss it live as though they're in the same room.
And to get a brief overview,
like how many users are in Blocktopia today?
Like, what would be the journey of, let's say,
like a new user to even metaverse who would, like, try to join?
What would it look like when he joins Blocktopia?
So there's a few ways to join.
We've been in closed beta testing now for quite a while,
and we were set to launch on the 30th October,
but we hit a few server issues,
which meant that it would be a worse experience for some people
in certain parts of the world.
And we just didn't accept that.
That wasn't something we wanted to put live.
So we've worked on that over the last few weeks,
got it into a place where it's working really smoothly for everyone.
And we have, we're going live on the 11th of December with a build,
both builds are on our website for a PC and Mac.
So anyone with a PC and a Mac to a relatively decent standard
and relatively decent broadband speed,
but our minimum requirements are on our website,
we'll be able to jump into Blocktopia.
It's just the case of downloading the app and diving in, really.
In terms of the users,
we have the capability as a starting point
to get 10,000 concurrent users in a day.
So we're still to kind of, you know,
the proof is in the pudding as to how many people will be our exact user base
on a daily basis, but that's the technology that we've built,
that's the capacity that we have,
and that's how people will access it.
We're going to closely follow up the PC and Mac launch
with our Android build, which is pretty much ready to go.
Our iPhone build will follow then after that,
our iPhone build at the moment.
So basically, Blocktopia takes a certain amount of RAM to run.
And iPhones only have a very small capacity of RAM available,
so they're very clever Apple.
They don't show you this on their devices,
but if you turn your iPhone on,
almost all of your RAM pretty much is getting used just running the phone,
so regardless of how many apps you have open, et cetera.
So that's been a problem that we're trying to overcome
as Blocktopia grows.
It's a bit of a growing pain for the iPhone build,
but we'll have that out soon as well.
So, yeah, our idea was always to make it accessible as possible
to as many people as possible, no matter where you are in the world.
And so these beta testing that actually showed you a couple of issues,
and I guess it's always the case, you know,
like you only find the issues once you stress test
and once you actually test it with people during the last weeks.
How many people did you have there?
Were they real people?
Were you like emulating users or what did you do?
Yeah, so a little bit of both.
In our closed beta testing,
we've had well over a thousand people in together with no problems.
We've also got bots, which can, we've been stress testing
the last few weeks, actually.
So we've got bots that can emulate thousands of people in as well.
And that, exactly like you said, Dorian,
it's a great process for us to be able to just eliminate,
well, there's no kind of guesswork.
If 10,000 people did come in, we know what to expect.
We're able to emulate that capacity
with bots and stress test our back end
and see how it handles it.
So, yeah, we're pretty comfortable
with that 10,000 concurrent users figure.
Okay, that's a nice target.
And about the partnership between KuCoin and Blocktopia,
could you remind us how it started
and how the relationship has grown then?
Because I'm not aware of it at all.
Of course, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, look, it began, I've touched on this already,
but back in 2021 with the launch of the Blocktopian token.
So that was on KuCoin.
And KuCoin was a key partner for us at that time.
And it was our initial DEX offering.
It was a standout success in 2021,
one of the best performing IDOs of the year.
And I think the best based on return on investment
at the time as well.
So it was a really successful launch for us,
but also a really successful launch for KuCoin.
And really, I think from there,
we've had a pretty solid strategic partnership in place.
My reflections of that, I mean, obviously,
I'm talking for KuCoin a little bit here as well,
but my reflections of that are that KuCoin,
and we've done bits and pieces with Johnny in the past as well,
and KuCoin's got a commitment to innovation, I think.
And I think there's quite a strong vision in the business
around expanding presence beyond traditional Web2 environments.
So I think we were quite a good fit for KuCoin
in that time period
and have been over the course of the last few years.
Obviously, we've gone away in a bear market.
We've been doing a lot of development,
and we haven't been as loud as we'd have liked
to have been through that period of time.
But KuCoin's always backed us whenever we've needed help.
And given us platforms like this
to be able to kind of talk to their community
and a bigger community, which is great.
And I think, really, that's because,
as a brand, KuCoin embraces transformative potential
of the metaverse.
And let's face it, it is still early,
but brands that invest time and resources now,
I think, will be the winners in the long run.
Especially, like, it's true that the metaverse narrative
hasn't been in the forefront under the light
for a lot of time by now.
So it's actually interesting to see that projects
are still developing and moving forward with it.
Actually, the virtual headquarters of KuCoin
in the Blocktopia metaverse,
it's the first time KuCoin has any presence
in the metaverse at all.
So could we have maybe some preview
for the audience on some of the features
that will be available there?
What can they find in the KuCoin virtual headquarters?
Yeah, I think what's interesting is lots of brands
have kind of over the years gone,
oh, we've got a metaverse in such and such.
And really, it's just a vision of what's to come,
which hasn't come to fruition yet.
And, you know, we're guilty of that as well.
But KuCoin's virtual HQ will be in our MVP
that goes live on the 11th of December.
So it's been designed to be a cutting-edge,
immersive experience.
Some of the features in there will be
the latest news updates from KuCoin.
So whether that's the live X feed,
I nearly said Twitter.
I'm still not great with that.
The live X feed, YouTube content,
and the latest news and updates,
which basically flow through social channels,
will be housed within the virtual HQ.
There's an opportunity.
So, for example, everyone who's on this call now
could come into the KuCoin HQ
and we could do this in there together as well.
It holds all of the same experience
as we're having now.
So that means virtual meetups.
You can get key speakers,
have AMA sessions in there,
and events to basically amplify anything
which would be around KuCoin's latest news or messages.
We've got dynamic market data displays in there.
So that could be real-time trading data
or market insights or things around,
information around things like the Gemma Slop campaign
and things that you're running for us at the moment.
Basically, anything that KuCoin shares with the world
is brought together into that HQ.
And it allows you guys in the KuCoin community
to come and hang out together,
discuss the latest opportunities.
And to be fair,
there's probably quite a lot of those at the moment,
given we're in the midst of quite a strong bull run
and everything's starting to turn nice and green again.
Yep, absolutely.
And moving beyond that,
so Blocktopia will have many, many features
and many layers.
So what would be the upcoming features
or levels that users can look forward to exploring
in the metaverse in the near future
or not so near future, actually?
Yeah, so I think, look,
we're the home of crypto.
That's sort of how we've always badged ourselves.
So we want to build a credible, engaging space
for crypto adoption.
And the partnerships that we have
help us solidify that foundation.
So we've got 16 other major crypto brands
on the crypto level of Blocktopia.
But just because people like crypto,
it doesn't mean they don't like other things as well.
And that's something that I've...
Could you share some of them?
Some of the other brands?
Yeah, of course.
So we've got Binance,
CoinMarketCap,
Cointelegraph,
Avalanche,
Animoca Brands,
So a lot of major crypto brands.
So all the big names will be present on Blocktopia.
All the big names will be present in Blocktopia.
Yeah, that's always been our kind of bread and butter.
But I think, you know,
we do recognize,
I love crypto.
And in the grand scheme of things,
four years,
I've not even really been in it for that long.
But it doesn't mean that I don't like other things too.
A lot of the Blocktopia community will know I'm a big football fan,
for example.
So I think it's really important to have other content in there based on things
like sport,
You don't want it to be too specific.
You don't want it to,
you want it to be a general metaverse.
Absolutely.
Not too specific,
not segmenting people and having them feel that they do not belong there.
It makes it,
it makes it a little bit too niche.
And if people want to come along and just consume the crypto content,
there's enough of that.
That's not a problem.
they can do that.
They don't have to ever go to any other floor,
but we've got an elevator in there and you do have the option to go to these
other levels,
which have content around those other themes as well.
We've also got access to a big event area,
which we call Metaspaces.
So in there we can feature concerts,
live events.
We can have partnerships with major brands from the music and entertainment
I think on launch day on the 11th of December,
we've got Nick from OneInch coming to do a talk in there.
And so it's very much like a kind of conference space,
but somewhere where entertainment can be hosted as well.
We've also got a gaming level.
So there's interactive gamified experiences.
So people can go up there and play almost arcade type games and they can play
those for fun.
But we've also got a play to earn game called Blockbuster,
which is a quiz game.
And the quiz questions are based around crypto and all of the other topics
that we host within Blocktopia.
And actually,
whilst I'm on that point,
we are doing an open test today of Blockbuster.
So everyone's invited.
And what that means is at three o'clock UTC,
everyone that comes in and participates in the game will be given a reward.
So we've got some tokens called BlockN,
which can basically be traded for land in Blocktopia.
So everyone that plays Blockbuster moving forward will always get BlockN tokens.
So there's going to be basically giveaways.
I think we can invite our audience here.
if you want to take a look and participate to this session in a couple of hours now,
please look at Blocktopia's official account that we have here in the space.
And you'll find the official links to start your journey into Blocktopia metaverse
and to participate in the activity of this afternoon.
Absolutely.
And it's just a fun quiz,
but you get some BlockN tokens just for participating.
And like I say,
they can be traded for land in Blocktopia.
And every bit of land that's purchased in Blocktopia,
we burn block tokens.
And so it's kind of like the way this is going to work,
and I'm posting the video on this in a couple of days,
is the more people that play this quiz game,
the more people that come into play Blockbuster,
the more users there'll be,
the more BlockN tokens we'll give away,
the more land we'll sell,
and the more block tokens we will burn over time.
So effectively,
that's big numbers.
If we start getting 10,000 concurrent users in,
it starts to become really big numbers.
we've got a little bit of fun in there.
We've got a little bit of education.
We've got just various content,
big talking topics that are always on a daily basis going to occur.
We try to give as many hooks as we can think of to get people interested.
And obviously the interest in the MVP will be the proof as to whether this is
something we kind of continue to build out bigger and bigger and better.
So actually there will be a need to follow up after the launch and see how,
see how it went and how the traction grows throughout the weeks,
maybe 12 months that are coming with the bull run,
especially.
But absolutely.
that's a topic that we have not talked about yet,
but the token itself.
So the Block token,
what can you tell us about it for users who are listening to us at the moment,
who want to get a better grasp at its utility or its opportunity in terms of
investment?
Obviously we're not going to give financial advice.
That's not the point here,
but I'm pretty sure we can make a sound like a case for the utility of the token or
its opportunity.
absolutely.
And I think on that point,
the only time we've ever had discussions about anyone buying the Block token,
Block token has been with our private investors.
When we started on this journey,
it's never been something that we've pushed out and said,
buy this token.
that's just something we've always stayed clear of.
B-L-O-K is our native token.
It is a multi-chain token.
So it's operating across Binance,
Smart Chain,
and Arbitrum.
We've got it listed across quite a few exchanges,
but obviously KuCoin is our key partner in that space.
the utilities of Block are effectively a key utility so far has been to purchase
what we call ReBlock,
which is real estate block is what it stands for.
So that is,
is effectively land in Blocktopia.
So you could,
for example,
buy some ReBlock in,
for the KuCoin HQ,
own a piece of the KuCoin HQ and,
and earn rewards for,
for owning that piece of land.
So the rewards,
as soon as our,
as soon as we launch on,
on December the 11th,
we're going to be sending out information about when the rewards,
how and when the rewards kick in.
But needless to say next year,
they'll be going out set at sort of 10% of the purchase price initially.
And the way that expands,
we've built staking and token swap opportunities through ATMs in Blocktopia as well.
So it starts to become a place where you can go in,
you can connect your wallet up,
you can swap tokens into Block,
you can then stake those tokens,
and you can also swap tokens to,
to other things.
you're free to kind of use that feature in whichever way you'd like to.
how it will have,
some DeFi capability,
absolutely.
and the way that it'll expand moving forwards is we'd like to bring in the opportunity to then be able to use Block to purchase within the HQ.
So one obvious thing being digital wearables and I think our partners at ReadyPlay and me are getting really close with their next iteration of avatars,
which will make that world a whole lot easier.
for example,
to sort of walk you through a vision of what that looks like,
I could go into the QCoin HQ in my avatars,
bog standard t-shirt and jeans.
I can walk in,
I can walk around some mannequins modeling the latest digital wearables from QCoin and I can buy myself a t-shirt and a hat and I can own that on the blockchain.
That's an NFT that I'd have purchased.
I can dress my avatar in it and there'll also be capabilities longer term of that be,
of those being physical items that can be sent out to people's homes as well.
And the beauty of ReadyPlay and me and what they offer as an avatar system is they're interoperable over thousands of games and metaverses,
which means that you can keep what you're wearing,
you can keep your QCoin gear on and it's not restricted to Blocktopia.
You can use your avatar in one of your other favorite games and still keep the QCoin gear on.
there are,
there are opportunities for things like that as well.
there's a few other utilities like governance and investing and accessing exclusive events that we have kind of down the pipeline as well.
What do you mean by governance?
so the moments of the Blocktopia metaverse could be subject to votes from the community?
we've had a DAO live on our website for a while.
We've not put a huge amount of questions in there,
but one thing we did do a year or so ago was ask the community if they wanted to do a token burn.
And the vote was quite emphatically,
for a 40% token burn of the total circulating supply of blocks.
so basically the more Blocktokens you hold in that regard,
the bigger your,
your say is.
we did that.
We actioned a 40% burn of the Blocktokens based on,
on the votes of the community.
so the DAO is something that we have integrated in the black,
in the background into Blocktopia as well.
We've not shown that to anyone yet.
We've not got that live,
but again,
any feature now that we've,
we have on our website or,
or have used in,
in the past is something we can pull into Blocktopia relatively easily.
Quite clear.
So beyond all the,
the features that you mentioned that could help drive adoption overall,
mainstream adoption of the metaverse.
this idea of having different layers,
different focuses in each layer,
like to take,
take most people's interest and have them,
create out of it,
like interact out of it inside the metaverse.
are the things that you,
you think could help drive the mainstream adoption?
of the metaverse,
and how the,
even the partnership between KuCoin and Blocktopia could help in this way?
I think the partnership between KuCoin and Blocktopia is just,
it's one of several key bridges for us for mainstream adoption of the metaverse,
because really we're,
we're going around and we're speaking to everybody's communities about what this is
and why it's useful.
it's a challenging thing to market.
I'm from a marketing background,
but it is challenging because there's a barrier for people to kind of understand,
what is a metaverse?
Why is it useful for me?
What do I,
what do I do in there?
we've got quite a fierce group of Blocktopians,
our community,
and they are,
they love it.
it's really for them.
And we know there are more people like them out there,
it's slightly niche at the moment.
what am I thinking?
How many people in the community at the moment?
it depends which,
which channel you look at,
So I think followers on,
on Twitter is our biggest base.
We've got like 320,000,
something like that followers on Twitter.
And in terms of really,
really active members of the community.
And I think we're,
we're at around the 10,000 mark,
11,000 on,
on Discord.
So you're going to be stressed us?
people have got to come there,
I hope so,
but people have got to come in and they've got to,
and they've got to,
they've got to help us with this.
we need to see we we've done,
we've done the work now we've worked hard through the bear market.
We need to see if the demand's there at this point and Darian,
but I appreciate we,
we're just starting to get the word out there again.
And this is the first time we've mentioned the launch date.
So we're going to have a couple of weeks now to really sort of lead into
And we're hoping that everyone hears about it and start spreading the word
and comes along on the 11th of December.
I suppose,
just some,
some key messages on,
on mainstream adoption.
It's a new way to interact with,
with familiar platforms like KuCoin.
a lot of the content,
a lot of the messages that you guys get out there won't,
won't necessarily change,
but instead of checking Telegram,
checking Twitter,
what's on YouTube,
it's kind of pulling it all into one place.
And it's allowing you to also socialize with people and talk with like-minded
people as you're consuming that content,
which I think is quite key.
The socialization that we allow,
the people concurrently going in together and being in spaces where there's
credible brands,
it's very user friendly.
We've tried to lower the entry to newcomers.
So we're trying to make it understandable as well for people who are,
who are relatively new to crypto.
and we just want people to,
to spread the word.
If you're interested,
if you come along,
if you like Botopia,
tell a friend,
let's get people in,
let's get people playing the quiz,
Blockbuster.
Let's get,
let's build up that,
that user base because I think nobody's ever seen anything like Botopia before.
It's quite a new concept and we want to bring a wave of new users into the fold.
we've got several,
we've got several hooks and we've got several things that we think may interest people,
but the proof's going to be in the pudding,
as they say.
And for example,
what would you be,
so you mentioned users that might not be versatile in crypto still.
How would the journey look like when they,
can they join first the metaverse without any crypto experience?
And even can they have a seamless experience without,
interacting with blockchain crypto,
so to speak at all?
of course.
I think the one benefit we're,
we're starting to have,
and this is why the timing starting to work out quite well is crypto is starting to get into mainstream media again,
As a headline.
because of the performance of Bitcoin.
I'm at the point now,
I don't know if anyone else is similar that's on this chat,
but I'm at the point now where I'm starting to get messages from my father-in-law,
my neighbor,
my cousins,
which exchange should I use?
What crypto should I buy?
What's going to make me a millionaire?
you know that it's starting to hit mainstream media when,
when we're at that point,
don't you?
and I think that helps,
that helps.
what we need people to,
to then kind of do is they'll face that problem that I faced that I talked about earlier.
where do I go to?
And what we've got to try and do is,
is bring them,
it may make them know that Blocktopia is an option in that space.
So there's a,
there's a few ways that we can try to do that.
Real world brands coming into the spaces is,
And we've got a good partnership with University College London,
and they are not going to have a presence immediately in our MVP,
but they will be in a second iteration.
And we are,
they have the likes of Stanford University and quite a few other major universities
around the world,
which are bringing learning materials in,
on blockchain technology and,
and how it all works.
we're trying to sort of look at a younger market as well.
And of people who are going through the education process and,
and potentially see this as a career for them,
not just a nice way to make money.
education is really kind of key to that strategy as well.
But we also recognize,
how can we be flexible?
Where are the,
where are the things that people are talking about?
Where's the interests?
So for example,
over the course of the last couple of weeks,
whilst we've been doing our stress testing,
and we've had our 3d artists build a meme floor and,
we're going to bring all the content of memes in there because,
whether you,
whether you love memes,
whether you hate memes,
they're a talking point,
they're a talking point.
and they've,
they've been quite crucial during this ball run so far.
it's just about bringing different audiences in and,
and having content there that is relevant to as,
as broad a spectrum as we can.
So that's the,
the objective right now.
I guess we've been through most of what,
what's to expect,
especially the launch on the 11th of December that we're right now
expecting to see and expecting to see the traction that will be
created in the,
in the coming weeks after that.
So if there is any element that you would like to,
to dig in much further that we might have overlooked until now,
you still have the time,
no worries.
And afterwards we might want to pick a couple of questions that you find
interesting from the audience to,
to answer them more directly.
If you find any question that's interesting,
you'll be able to,
to answer it.
And after,
after that,
we'll wrap it up.
in terms of,
of key points,
my main one really is if any of this sounds interesting to you and
you've never heard of Blocktopia before,
come along at 3pm UTC today and get involved in Blockbuster and you'll have a
bit of fun.
and you'll be rewarded for it.
that's kind of my,
my key point.
if you can't make that,
I appreciate there's different time zones going on for people around the world.
Then we'll see on the 11th of December,
hopefully.
and we'll be open at that point 24,
in terms of all my,
everything I wanted to talk about,
I've gone through that today.
So if you,
if you want to ask,
open up the questions,
I'm more than happy to do that.
I have a question that I'm interested in as well.
So I'm thanking Tinko Anaya for the question.
So in this court,
the community was very interested in being able to have a virtual casino in
Blocktopia.
Will it be possible in the future?
I work to SkyVegas and I,
and I know how challenging gambling laws are.
We have looked into it in the past over the course of the last couple of
There are opportunities.
It's not straightforward in terms of from our side,
from the tech point of view,
it's quite an easy thing to implement if we wanted to.
But there's a little bit of red tape in the gambling world.
So it's just something that we'd have to take a long,
hard look at.
I think to check,
I suppose to almost sense check the appetite.
Not in the immediate future.
Not in the immediate future,
but I think to sense check any appetite for things like that.
That's why we've introduced play to earn games and why we've introduced games,
which are just sort of fun games to play as well.
If the games themselves get a lot of interaction,
then that gives us a bit more confidence that going,
that kind of gamifying a few more things is,
is something that people would like to do.
And effectively that's that gambling falls somewhere between gamification and
crypto almost,
doesn't it?
So I can understand the,
I can understand the,
the user that we attract will probably have a fascination in gambling.
And it's definitely something that we would,
we would keep up our sleeves for a future day.
And one other question from Block about the functionality is more oriented.
So will KuCoin users be able to directly log into the Blocktopia metaverse
using their KuCoin accounts?
And will they have the ability to perform trading or other financial activities
within the metaverse?
they will.
so effectively when you enter Blocktopia,
the starting point,
as I mentioned before,
is you download an app from the,
from our website,
either on PC or Mac or,
or a later date,
you can do that on your mobile,
Android or iPhone.
We use something called the meta pass at the moment.
which is a separate app.
you can get that from the Apple or Android phone,
and that sets up your profile and allows you to build your avatar quite
seamlessly just on your phone.
It's quite a,
quite a quick and easy process.
And you can attach an airdrop address to your meta pass.
So they could in effect attach their KuCoin address into that airdrop address,
which would enable them to receive rewards to their,
to their KuCoin wallet.
And longer term though,
in terms of connecting a wallet in the,
in the metaverse,
we're restricted at the moment in that sense to MetaMask wallets,
but we're,
we're working with a company called ThirdWeb who've just done a big update for us.
our own wallet will be available and lots of others will be as well.
So I think I,
I'm not completely familiar if I'm honest with how the KuCoin wallet would
operate and whether it could connect through something like a wallet connect
But if it,
if it can,
I guess there would be wallet integration once this will be on the table.
So one last question then from Sam,
more oriented towards the,
the metaverse and the real estate there.
What are the key benefits of owning the virtual land in Blocktopia?
How does the platform facilitate the buying,
selling and development of these virtual properties for users looking to create a
unique experience?
So I think I've,
I've touched on the naming convention here,
but we've purchased in real estate in Blocktopia is called ReBlock,
which literally stands for real estate block.
If you own ReBlock,
you've got the opportunity to become a virtual landlord in a,
in a sense.
So we've split up each,
each store.
So the KuCoin store,
for example,
is split up into separate NFTs and people are able to purchase one of those
which we call ReBlock.
And you use a block token for purchase.
Every block token that's used is burnt and always has been.
And we guarantee an income of at least 10% rewards from the moment.
So from the 11th of December,
we always said from the moment that metaverse goes live,
which will be the 11th of December,
we guarantee a rental income of 10%.
So those rewards will start to be sent out and kind of posters going live.
And we're sharing lots of information about that after live launch date.
It also will give people an opportunity to,
to participate in,
in decision-making longer term as well.
So I think I've touched on the DAO that we have and,
and integrating that,
I suppose,
more levels in a little bit more of a sophisticated way as,
as we get the,
the metaverse live.
pretty straightforward.
I hope you,
you have the answer to the question you asked.
And it's worth pointing out as,
it's worth pointing out as well.
If you come and play enough blockbuster games,
you'll be given enough block end tokens to be able to just buy one,
just get one of these re-blocks for free.
and you know,
that's something to bear in mind as well.
all the actions that you'll be taking in the metaverse will actually enhance
your possibilities regarding the ownership.
So I think we've been pretty thorough.
I'm going to leave you the last,
last minute.
If there is any element that you,
that you want to bring forward,
and afterwards we'll wrap it up.
That's fine.
I think I,
I'll reiterate a few of the key points.
We've got a blockbuster test today.
We want to get as many people in as possible.
So if you can come along at three o'clock today,
we'd love to see you.
And you're,
you're very welcome.
If you're new to,
to blocktopia,
we're going to be doing a few things leading up to the launch on the 11th of December.
There'll be a few announcements.
Please keep a lookout for our socials.
and beyond the 11th of December is it,
is a case of,
we just want to get users in there.
We want people to tell their friends about us.
We want to get as many people in as possible.
and so we can keep building.
We can keep making blocktopia bigger and better,
see what a bigger number of people engage with what's interesting to them.
So we can lean into that and we can expand those things and,
and make them better.
so really,
I think all that's left for me today is just thanks very much.
It's great to speak to the Qcoin community.
I can see a few familiar faces in here as well.
And from the bottopia community,
thanks everyone for your time.
And as always,
it's really appreciated for everyone to take kind of 45 minutes out of
their day and to come along and listen.
And Dorian,
thank you as well.
It's been great to meet you and chat through.
it was really a nice conversation.
It gives a pretty clear picture of blocktopia and what's to expect in
the near future.
I hope you got all the information you wanted in case you want to dig
Once again,
we have the official blocktopia account here with us.
You may follow them,
straight on their X account and access all their official websites,
et cetera.
You can find it there,
And you can also interact with their team.
is that correct?
So they'll be there to walk you through and get you interested in the
the beta testing of this afternoon and then the launch on the 11th of
So I hope you guys got,
got enough information about blocktopia and that you all learned something from
this session.
it was great to have you here.
Thank you for coming.
Thank you very much.
Thanks for your time.
Thanks everybody.
