All right. Hello everyone, good day to you all and happy Thursday. I hope you're all having a great 2023 so far and happy quarter two. I'm your host, Colin O'Brien. I'm delighted to be here today to talk to you all about the latest developments with Rubik on both the development side
and the marketing side of things. As usual, I'm hosting this AMA via our Twitter spaces as well as through our Telegram chat. Both these formats are saved and recorded so you can watch them after the fact or to share them with friends. Now being an AMA, I'll do my best to answer as many
of your questions as I can. I'd like to remind our listeners if you have any questions for this AMA. You're more than welcome to DM me or anybody else on the team throughout the week. Just tag me. You can do so either on Twitter or in our telegram and we'll go through, we'll organize all your questions.
and could be the best possible answers. So today I'm just going to be going through our weekly update report. I'll be pausing intermittently to field questions from our audience. There has been a lot of requests to have different team members on as well. So we will focus on that this quarter, quarter two of 2023.
There has been a lot of requests to have our head of business development. Sven, Michael, come on. So I will talk with Sven and narrow down a date in which he can come on and go through the weekly update report with me and give some insight. And we'll see if some other team members
as well would like to come on. Maybe we have a developer on our team that wants to step up and maybe field some questions about what it's like to work on the back end of things in the blockchain industry. So for all of you listeners today, if you're interested in lending your voice to ask a question, you're more than welcome to click the
your hand icon or the microphone icon in the telegram and Twitter space UI respectively. I'll give you a chance to jump in and ask your question. But if you are shy or you just don't feel like lending your voice, you're more than welcome to type your questions into the reply feed for the Twitter spaces or
to our official telegram chat and I will do my best to go through read all of those in answer as many of them as I can. We also published the weekly update report already so if you'd like to follow along with me today, check out our Twitter we have a link there to our medium that has the weekly update report.
Go check out our Telegram channel. We have links in there via our announcements. So if you so please go check that out. You can follow along with me. Without further ado, let's jump right in to the weekly update report. So this is a new chapter for Rubik.
We have relaunched our smart contracts. So these new smart contracts have passed numerous audits and we have implemented an overall new security strategy. So now we are prepared for even bigger achievements and can get back to focusing on growing and expanding the ecosystem.
system adding additional functionality to the Rubik Tech Suite SDK and making it easier for all people to operate within the Web3 space regardless of where your value resides. So with the launch of these new smart contracts,
is my pleasure to announce that they have been fully audited by MixBites. Now, during the audit process, our developers have collaborated with the MixBites team to improve our architecture and to enhance our project's security. If you are unfamiliar with MixBites, they have
some major major companies in the space. So for example, they have audited major projects like Awe, Yurn, Curve, SushiSwap, One-inch, and many, many more. So we are very happy to have worked with them.
Now with the the audit report, you can actually go check that out in the weekly update report right now. It's like a 25 plate page plus PDF that goes through, breaks down all the contracts that they went through and then highlights any security flaws that they found what actions were taken to.
to remedy that so that those issues were alleviated and removed from our smart contracts. So I highly recommend you check that out, even if you don't have a very deep technical understanding of how all of this works. There is kind of like a
the end, right? Like a conclusion that kind of highlights any flaws that they found in the actions taken to rectify them. So it's been a long road since November of last year, but we are very, very happy to celebrate this milestone. It's been quite the journey.
20, 20, 20, and our team has learned a lot of lessons along the way. But you know, things are looking up now and well, they have been for a while and the industry is growing. It is a, it's a build year 2023 is the market being
kind of in a bear for the last, you know, six months to a year. Things look like they may be starting to turn around, but we'll see. We'll see what what plays out on a on a bigger scale, but now that we have our improved smart contracts and improved
platform security we are prepared to continue expanding and partnering with more projects again to make it easier for everybody to get involved in one three both developers and users alike. Now since these new smart contract events which back on transactions are now being carried out through that
That means Rubik's fees are back on as well. So that means $2 for every cross-chain swap and $1 for every on-chain swap. But if you participate in the SwapDern program or hold $5,000 RBC, you will get those fees refunded back to you.
So make sure again to go check out the audit report, the security audit report by mixed bytes. We have links in our weekly update report and we look forward to sharing some more information with our community regarding that soon. Now in addition to the
I do want to mention that we will be launching a bug valley program to kind of decentralized the auditing process to empower our community members and engage them with the project and maybe you know something comes up as we continue to add
things to the platform that slips through the cracks or somebody notices and you'll be rewarded for that. So we'll have more details regarding our bug bounty program coming up later in April and stay tuned to our socials or updates on that. I also have news.
regarding a mobile version update. So we have been working on a updated mobile version UI. So with this new design, the Rubik mobile version provides a smoother cross chain experience when trading on your smartphone. So you'll be able to carry out your trades quicker and easier
All from the comfort of your couch. So check that out. We have a screenshot in the weekly update report with. Peak at the new design. That's very sleek, very simple. I love it. Keep it simple, right? Keep it simple.
All right, before I go any further with the development side of things, let me check and see if I have any questions here. And our Twitter space is no. Million baby 12 says good morning. Good morning. Low near says hi. Hello.
Let's see if we have questions in our telegram chat.
We do. Dude 5858 says, "Call and hey, I have a question. Rubik is lately having a lot of promotions and now it has a swap to earn program. All of these events are giving users free RBC
So my question is, from where does this token come from and can you explain how do free token serve Rubik's long-term holders? Because free tokens are selling in a free market and the price depreciates. Those are coming from our marketing
Partition of our tokens and our tokenomics structure. So what this can do, right? Because the utility for RBC, if you own 5,000 or more RBC, you have no fees through the platform.
with no fees, you have to imagine a future where people will be using the Rubik SDK in mass through applications themselves, right? Using the Rubik SDK, volume will increase substantially.
potentially as it does will be able to hold governance votes again using the RBC token to potentially reduce or even increase it just depends on what the community wants the fees for both cross chain and on chain swaps.
But if you are able to utilize the Rubik SDK through a number of very popular applications and you aren't paying any fees because you own 5,000 RBC, that becomes a very powerful marketing tool. Word of mouth, you know, personal references to utilize
services apps are infinitely more powerful than a banner ad on a website or a seven-second or even a 30-second unskippable YouTube app. So by increasing the number of holders of RBC, thereby increasing the number of people who are able to utilize it without
about paying any fees, we're expanding the number of people who are not just aware of what Rubik is doing, but benefiting from what Rubik is doing, and also benefiting from holding the token. So, again, inspiring more and more people through network effect to hold the token, to offset any fees.
and again grow the platform in a more organic way versus a more forced way where you're basically buying clicks, right? We don't want to do that. We've never really done that. So we're going to continue to grow organically through these promotions. And yeah, I hope that answers your question.
We are able to, well, you're going to pay fees through any potential partners. You're also going to be paying gas tax, depending on the networks that you are trading to.
or from or on in general for on chainswaps. So there's no way to like circumvent that but when utilizing Rubik's own smart contracts to route transactions
the most efficient path that is where you would see the reimbursement for any fees. So I hope that answers your question to Moral.
There are some funny questions in our price chat. I'll get to that in a minute. Let me go back to the weekly update report, then we'll revisit our audience in just a moment. So with our development, again, we have a new integration. This is the Stargate Bridge.
So we've taken another step forward and completed the integration of the Stargate bridge. Now that provides our users with even better cross-chain composability and unified liquidity. Stargate is the first bridge to solve the bridging trilema. You can explore more with the link in the weekly
update report. We put together a little article explaining the integration of Stargate, but we are happy to have them on board. There will be a yet another critical aspect of the all inclusiveness and wholly encompassing an aspect of what Rubik is trying to
build here which is unify the entire web 3 space by aggregating as many decentralized exchanges, blockchain networks, bridges as we possibly can to provide our users with the most efficient and optimal routes regardless of which
tokens they are swapping to or from and again that is over 15,000 to 500 tokens across 40 plus blockchain networks. We will continue to add to those numbers as we progress throughout the year and that leads me into the next update here which is
new networks that will be adding to our ecosystem. So that would be the ASTAR network. They are an EVM compatible network and ZK sync era. Both of these networks will be coming very soon. We'll have more details in the coming weeks. So stay tuned to our socials. Tune into this week's
the AMA and we'll keep you updated on the status of those two new network integrations. That does it for the development side of things this week. We'll move on to marketing in just a moment. Let's turn to our audience if we have any questions and Twitter spaces.
I don't see any in our Twitter spaces. Let me take a look at our telegram chat here.
Okay, yeah, I'd be glad at this post of this in the main chat as well. Call it if you had to choose which Ninja Turtle you could be, which one would you be? That is a tough question, man. I always loved
Michael Angelou's humor and like, you know, who doesn't like nunchucks, right? Donatello was always the smart one and the bow staff is is by far one of the most underrated weapons of the four Ninja Turtles. I don't know Leonardo's got the only like super
super deadly weapon and he's the leader. Then you have Rafael, right? He's got the size and those are super defensive weapon. And he's got that kind of don't mess with me attitude. So that's a tough one, man. I don't know. I need your reaction. I would say Michelangelo.
just because life is too short to not laugh.
I appreciate the fun question. It's nice to get some curve balls every now and then.
>> Merob says, "Call in, where can we buy the Rubik unique NFTs? We're not able to participate in the AirDrop due to security concerns. I'm not aware of any third party marketplace that is currently hosting and selling any of
the Rubik NFTs. The way I see a lot of that working in the future is with the new Soulbound token protocols. So it's possible to have an NFTs as a Soulbound token. So as soon as it is aired
dropped and distributed to a particular person, you cannot transfer that out of that wallet. So there is something to be said for that when it's like you had to be there events. That makes it truly
truly unique. And I can definitely see a lot of projects switching to that in the future. I don't know if anybody is reselling any types of the NFTs on the open market. So I don't have an answer for you on that.
I have a questionnaire from crypto rocky says Colin you mentioned CK technology just recently does the Rubik team have any plans to incorporate that into the Rubik ecosystem of yes, how will it be applied so the later to roll up CK CK technology that's zero knowledge proof technology.
Underline logic that defines certain layer to networks.
I don't want to get too deep in the weeds with this one. I will say that we have already included some layer two solutions that
have kind of ZKTEC, we will continue to add new networks throughout Rubik's lifespan and some of those will have ZKTEC kind of governing their logic, right? So we
plan to include it as many major networks as we can, especially those that have a robust DAP ecosystem because the Rubik SDK is perfect to be integrated directly into applications to make it easy for people to use crypto inside whatever application that happened to be using DAP.
at that time. There will be a number in my opinion. I believe there will be a number of very popular apps built across a dozen plus different blockchain networks. And you'll see those over the course of the next few years.
And to have the value on all those different networks, right, those dozen plus networks being able to utilize that value on any application regardless of what chain it's located on is the goal. You shouldn't feel like you cannot operate or use a certain application.
because value that you have in Web 3 is locked in a certain ecosystem. So we are trying to alleviate that situation right now. The disparate island situation that exists in crypto by merging all the tech together into one easy to integrate SDK.
to make it easy again for devs to integrate the SDK and have the entire suite of tools that they're disposal for Web3 that goes beyond just decentralized exchanges and bridges but also signals and oracles and message passing as well.
See, W says, "Why are we answering dumb questions?" There's no such thing as a dumb question, man. Not everybody has the same knowledge at the same time. Some people need to be informed about different aspects of Web 3. This is all very new.
And yeah, you got to go through and answer questions. You know, not everybody is in the know. So again, no dumb questions. Feel free to ask away with whatever you have. Now, CW, if you are impatient, you don't want to win.
are weekly update report is available and you can go through that and read all of the new updates for Rubik. CW says referencing Ninja Turtles that dumb question. I don't consider that as
them question. It's a fun question. And I've been talking to a wall. I feel like for the last two, three months, while we've been in this protracted bear market. So sorry, not sorry for having some fun with our community.
Let's see here.
Uh, Marab says Colin, when are you all going to build non custodial wallets for our RBC like an own wallet would have been brilliant. Uh, the wallet space is extremely
packed right now. I don't think personally it makes sense to make our own wallet, especially with the new EIP 4337 standard that came out of ETH Denver. I want to say it was last month, maybe end of February. But anyways,
But the new EIP 4337 standard is account abstraction. So what that enables is for wallets to have smart contracts reside within them, where even if you had the seed phrase for the wallet,
would not be able to affect change within the smart contract that is located in the wallet. What this enables is to factor authentication logins, email and social logins for wallets without being required
to store a 12 word seed phrase. That is of the utmost importance for onboarding new people into Web 3. We're never going to hit massive option if people have to store all their different seed phrases for all their different wallets.
It's on Post-it notes, on random pieces of paper that they shove in their sock drawer. That is not conducive for mastered options. We need solutions where people don't have to worry about setting up a wallet. They can just log into an application using, again, an email.
SMS text to factor authentication, biometric authentication, or just have a login username and password. Those will all become possibilities, which again, it shouldn't be too dissimilar from
how we utilize Web2 applications right now, there's just added functionality and utility on top of what it already exists. So we need to make the onboarding process a lot easier for people, and I see account abstraction
as one of the main mechanisms in which we are going to achieve that. So I would be on the lookout for wallets that are really leaning hard into EIP 4337 and that is something that we are going to be cognizant of as well.
Paying attention to who is doing what in the space regarding the ease of use and ease of onboarding and really throw our support behind them because again, we believe that is going to be a key aspect to mass adoption.
Crypto Rocky says does the Rubik team have plans to launch their own L1 or L2 chain? No. No, we have no intention of becoming our own network.
would be anathetical to what we're doing just because we are trying to merge all of the different tech that exists and that in and of itself is a monumental task. Let alone creating your own layer one network
or Layer 2 Network, we are going to leverage the very hard work of all the major projects in the space and unify it in one text week. That's what we are working on.
All right, let's jump back into the Weekly Update report now. Let's move on to the marketing side of things. So we have news on our Swap to Earn campaign. So yesterday we launched this unique program. It is the Swap to Earn program. It's a twist on the popular Earn trend.
With this particular program we have going on, you can earn tokens simply by trading one cryptocurrency for another. So to kick off this loyalty program, we've launched an announcement campaign with some fantastic rewards. The first 500 claimers, the complete two-cross chain swaps on Ruby.xchain.
will receive 1500 RBC tokens and if you hold 5000 RBC or more and are among the first hundred to claim you're eligible for an additional 5000 RBC. So this Swaps are an announcement. We'll
be running for, let me see again, I want to say a couple of weeks, I don't think we have that here in the weekly update report, but for the first month. So, so a while, there's all the details, let me, well you know what, I will let all of you go through all the details, we have it all right there.
and the weekly update report. It's the full campaign rules that introducing Swap to earn the innovative way to earn crypto tokens. It's an article that we have on our medium. But make sure to go through that for all of the details and parameters surrounding this particular promotion that we are doing. And if you have
Any questions? Again, reach out to anybody on our team. You can do so directly through our website, www.rubic.exchange, or you can go into our telegram or slide into our DMs on Twitter, and we will get you a response to whatever question you may have as it pertains to the permission.
What is the meaning of life questions from you know. Another air drop campaign I'd like to touch on that we are doing is the Rubik Boven Network and symbiosis air drop campaign. So this ran from goodness was in March 27th.
March 22nd, I forget. And it went until just two days ago, April 4th. All the eligible users should have collected their NFTs before the end of April 4th. We'd like to thank all of our participants through this particular promotion. Transactions to Boba grew almost
times. And we have some new RBC holders as well through this promotion. And the number of unique users on Rubik has grown by more than 70%. So a very, very productive promotion right there.
and we will continue to do these types of promotions with our partners throughout the course of 2023 and beyond. So stay tuned to all our social media for updates on new programs and air drops that we will be doing throughout the course this year. I'd like to
also announce that we have a new RBC listing. Next see global is the new sex that you can find Rubik on. Sorry I was weird my phone did a weird thing. Now they held a
vote to see if Rubik should be airdroped to their users and also be listed on Mexico. There were over 40 million MX tokens used to vote for an RBC listing. So a big shout out to the team over at Mexico. Thank you for
for adding us to your global centralized exchange. And we have a link there in the weekly update report that will take you over to the DEMEXC website where it details all of the voting and listing parameters and then you can start trading
RBC on next see global. Let's see and then that pretty much does it for the marketing side of things. We just have our little blur with the very end there about our weekly voice chat today.
Let me just make sure not missing something here.
Oh, yes, I totally skipped over this. Our Rubik and XY Finance promo. So for the last few months, XY Finance has been one of the top cross-chain providers on Rubik.exchange. They've been generating up to 36% of our total trading volume by
March of 2023. Thus we are launching a new promotional campaign with XY Finance. So between April 11th and April 23rd, users who make swaps using XY Finance as a provider will get unique NFTs. These NFTs will be your key
the pool of RBC and XY tokens that will be air dropped. So we'll have more details on this particular promotion very soon. Stay tuned. The 11th is coming up on next Tuesday. So between now and then we will have more details posted
on our medium as well as our social channels and in our Telegram chat as well. So make sure to check that out. And that does it for our weekly update report. Let's check and see if we have some more questions here that we can answer.
Let's see. KingLoss asks, "Call and you know about Radix. Rings of Bell don't know specifically what that is. There's a thousand different projects and names in the space.
all with very unique spelling and you know, unless it's something that I've looked at recently or it's something that is extremely
I'm not going to knock on my head. I'd have to look it up, but I can do so later this morning.
CryptoRocchi says, "What about incorporating leverage trading into the Rubik interface?" Now it's a hot topic. Many people want leverage trading on decentralized exchanges, so they're not depended on third-party centralized entities, for example, dy/dx/pro.
itself on it very effectively. It might be solid boost to group it can do it very new attractive feature. Yeah, for sure. I think leverage trading though at your targeting like 1% of 1%
Right. Like of all the crypto traders that exist, which probably about 1% of the general global population, 1% of those traders utilize leverage trading. So
While it would definitely be a huge boom to people who are interested in that, I would say is more beneficial and more
conscientious of man-hour power to work on additional feature integrations that makes it easier for the masses for the other 99% and the other 99% to
to jump into Web 3 and really get this thing rolling the way it should be. This is not about reinventing the wheel. This is opening up new business
this model opportunities to both companies and individuals. It allows true ownership of digital assets. It enables faster
faster business being conducted for both consumers and for businesses as well.
And the entire process is
Again, um...
I don't even know how to say it. What is it?
It's just more apt of the team to focus on the stuff that will bring in more people into the space and make it easier for developers to utilize and maximize their potential for what they've already created or what they plan to create. I think that is probably the best step forward.
focusing on things like leverage trading that is a very small subset, a very small niche, you know, desire in the space would not be in our best interest. I feel like our time could be spent better working on, you
integrating things like signals and oracles, as well as new chains, and then continuing to refine our software development kit so that developers can integrate Rubik directly into their applications again to reach a bigger audience.
Thank you for your question. Dr. Rocky, I hope that answers and is a sufficient response to your question there. Nebuchadnezzar on Twitter asks, "Hello, Colin, is there an RBC Rich List?" If you head over to
with their scan.io. You can actually look up RBC holders by wallet and it shows the amount of RBC that they actually own. So while there is no way to tell who owns what wallet or maybe
be one person owns the number 20 wallet and they also have a wallet that is like number 250 and another that is number 1000 or something. But the either scan only shows you the top 1000 wallets for any given project. I think we have about 7800 wallets. Maybe it's 8000 wallets.
now. Maybe more. It's been a moment since I looked at it. But that is, I guess, the closest you'll get to an RBC Rich List. That way for all other projects as well.
Yeah, I can definitely, uh, uh, Krybsa Rocky also makes mention that we should be publishing the, uh, weekly AMA on our group of announcements page, uh, that has over 16,000 subscribers. Um, absolutely. I can, I can, I can
start that today. So I can go ahead and I'll put the recording up on our announcement channel or if I don't have admin access and I'll try to get it and if not I will set it to somebody on the team who can go ahead and post that instead.
Let's see, anybody in our Twitter spaces lobby, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Same goes for everybody listening right now in our Telegram chat. If you have any questions and you are up to asking
Live, go ahead and click the Raise Your Hand icon or the microphone icon on Twitter spaces or just type your questions real quick because we are getting close to wrapping up or today. See, we have any other questions here.
Don't see any in our price chat. I don't see any here in our Twitter spaces. So if we have nothing else coming in on Telegram, I'm going to go ahead and wrap it up for the week.
It's going to be a fun month. I have a trip to Austin coming up here pretty soon. I will be heading out to consensus 2023 to talk to more developers about the Rubik SDK and
You know all the potential that it affords to different DApps throughout the industry and not just DApps blockchain networks as well, so If there's a lot of a lot of potential consensus should be rather large this year. It was a very very large show last year
year. I think they said 30,000 people showed up and it was like double what they thought they thought maybe 15,000 people would show up and again like 30,000 and GDC was was was pretty incredible as well. There's a lot of
new focus on Web 3 for the gaming industry. Last year, it was my first GDC. Last year, talking to a bunch of different people, they said about 5% of the show in some capacity. It was either
already in Web 3 or was exploring Web 3 this year, it was about 20 to 25% of the show. So huge, huge increase in Web 3, NF team in game assets, that kind of thing, right?
not like making tokenomics and then building a game around it, taking established IPs, taking established games, and then any triumphs, achievements, in-game cosmetics, DLC, micro transactions, basically being
that you can resell or lend to a friend, that kind of stuff. Very, very interesting stuff happening in the space. Very novel ways to utilize blockchain tech. Again, not trying to reinvent the wheel more like putting new tread on the wheel.
We can go places we couldn't go before So it's gonna be it's gonna be very very fascinating. Look it forward to that it's gonna be at the end of the month one of sites the 26th 25th or 26th through Like the 29th so like Tuesday Wednesday
all the way through Saturday and I plan to be there for most of that event and maybe do a live show from the consensus show floor so we'll see but again I would like to thank everybody for participating
I'm going to do it for a
other Rubik Weekly AMA. I've been your host, Colin O'Brien, and goodness. It is going to be a wild wild year. Maybe we'll go into that more with when we have some more guests on.
have some of these fun banter conversations because there's definitely a lot of macroeconomic things going on in the world that is it's going to throw everybody a curveball here, especially if you're an American. You're quite concerning actually you're an American, but I will leave it at that. I hope you all
have a fantastic rest of your week and excellent weekend and I look forward to talking to you all again next week. I'm in your host, Colin O'Brien. I want to thank you all so very much for stopping by and as always, stay happy, stay healthy, stay hydrated, the most importantly.
Stay cubic. Take care everybody.
