So we're going to be talking with a bit green today. Bit green is a re-fight project about to launch on Polkadot. I see Gor, the gilard just joined in.
and shown just actually message me saying he was going to be a bit later. So Alve maybe you want to go on and fill in for him.
Hey Mike, yeah, finally on sorry. How you doing? No worries Hey team sorry about this delay missing earphones, but thanks for having me like what?
Yeah, it's great to have you both. Great, Mike, and maybe if you want to ask a few questions before we get on and hopefully Sean joins shortly.
Yeah, definitely. So I'm super interested to learn more about bitgreen. I feel like there is a lot of synergies between our projects, so definitely keen to learn more. Yeah, G-Lod maybe, I don't know if I'm pronouncing that correctly, maybe let me know, but maybe you want to give a quick introduction about
yourself what Bitcoin is I see you have an impact investing carbon credits in your general sustainability layer one so yeah I'm excited to learn more about it yeah thanks for the time guys I really appreciate it we've actually well I've personally been following except for a very long time
So it's awesome to see that you guys are really building up on your promise over at our friends at Cosmos. So my name is Gilad and I am one of the three co-founders at Dick Green. Personally, I was born
in Israel, raised mostly in New York, currently living with my wife and two little kids in Portugal where apparently everyone in blockchain is and I had been working on Bikri with Adam and Dennis for over a year
and a half, about a year and a half at this point. However, we have known each other on different constellations in crypto land since 2018. And I've been in the impact space for about 12 years. First through the world of travel and hospitality,
of all things and that kind of rolled me into travel and tech and then philanthropy and philanthropy and tech. But the entire time I had fallen in love with concepts around money or rather this story of money. Some of you may know authors such as
Bernardo Littier or Charles Eisenstein. Anyone who's in the solo world knows that name, Charles Eisenstein. But basically, even before knowing it, I think about crypto, I had been really keen to understand what money is as a story. My background is just
history, I studied it in college, my entire family, or I was in love with history. And basically the questions were around, okay, who gets the defined money? What does it actually mean, right? And what could be done? And in the context of travel, like you think about all the points that you get from airlines.
That's essentially money. American Airlines biggest asset is its loyalty program and those points. Just kind of fascinating and mind-boggling at the same time. Anyways long story short, we got really excited about Big Green and the concepts behind it rather than
