Hello, hello, if anyone can hear me we're currently having some technical difficulties for some reason But if you can't hear me, please drop a thumbs up emo so I know that you guys can hear me
(electronic music)
Awesome awesome. So it seems like we most of you can hear which is good. We're trying to get the pills account up on stage. Currently not appearing as a listener at all.
So hopefully we can get them sorted, pace up, and then we can get into it in just a moment here. But thank you all for being patient with this, whilst we get this sorted. Hi guys.
Can you hear me?
Hi, yes, I can. How are you going? Very good. My name is Marlotsai again. I'm CEO of Pills and Tori will be for Pills account. I think while we're waiting for her, we can start our discussion and she will connect later
or measurable weight for her? Yeah, up to you. We can kick off now with the introductions and everything. And then hopefully she can get the account sorted and we can get her up to her as well. Yeah, cool. Sounds good. Well, I guess the key
things off. Thank you to those that have showed up already. I appreciate you guys being here early. Hopefully you can learn something pretty cool from this discussion here today about pills and what they have planned and what they're planning on doing within this space. If you can,
Real quick, you know head down to the bottom right click that that text to speech bubble give the space a like give it a retweet helps push it out, you know The people that follow you and hopefully you know they can come in and learn something as well So yeah, I guess to kick things off with we have pills tech with us today
We appreciate you guys taking the time out of your day to be up here to speak with us and you know to say your peace and you know give a whole lot of insight into what you guys are doing with your wearable fidgetals. So I guess Mara, if you want to begin you know your personal introduction, who you are, how you
kind of going to web 3 and then how you got into the point of pills. Sure, thank you. As I said, my name is Maraud. I am CEO of Pills, group Rated, we're a US-based company and we mainly do things with hardware about
years in hardware. I started with space, product, space, details production and engineering and also with experience in consulting, business consulting. So my entry in the web store
was in 2013. It was times of MTGoks and BTC and Silk Road. So Bitcoin for 10 years when I was in school.
I was keeping money from dinners to buy my first bitcoin, but after that I just quit it. I quit with 3 and get back just in 2021 when Tori set her idea about
a digital wearable for NFTs since she's from fashion. She was 10-class years in fashion in that moment. She was head of marketing for some region in Puma and she said that fashion needs
technology but it was lack of content, payable content and all devices were useless but when NFT became more popular, one too that NFTs are these
content that is very important to make a verbal device and we started to make pills before. Awesome, incredible. Sorry, go ahead. Sorry.
Yeah, Tori, go ahead if you'd like to introduce yourself and yeah, your journey into web3 and how you guys linked up to create pills. Hey guys, do you hear me? Oh good. Yeah, oh good. Yeah, awesome. Yeah, so yeah.
I'm glad to hear you guys, so my name is Tori, I'm co-founder and CEO of Pills. Before we kick it off, actually I just wanted to announce activation for you guys. What we plan to do is a free mint of
the Pills NFT to one random listener of this space. So please follow Pills and Squishiverse accounts like and retweet the space announcement and just listen to the space and lucky will be winner. So yeah.
we will announce it at the end of the space. I believe we will currently just pin that comment, that activation, and yeah, thank you guys for your support. So yeah, as for me, as Marato, I've been for more than 10 years in
fashion scene. I've been heading marketing and innovation in Puma and yeah that's how actually I believe I come up with that idea. I've been always into fashion, into accessories, wearables, I also enjoyed to technologies and also
Actually funny stories that like my husband he's engineer who actually is working with us with Marat so he used to work with Marat previously with an Startup studio which they had before I joined
And actually, once I've just heard their call, you know, like kind of team call. And I literally shared my idea of feed-to-dell wearable. And yeah, and this is how we came up, like with this concept. It was actually a few years ago.
And then I believe that idea survived within the startup studio. And finally, we launched it within separate US-based company. Pills, incorporation. So yeah, here we are.
Yeah, now awesome and it's cool to see you know something that you were doing previously You know working in fashion and your your love and passion for fashion crossover to you know something that you can do in web 3 you know another hobby and interest of yours which is which is obviously really real awesome to see
So you know, I guess you guys are coming in from a different angle compared to I guess you know other projects where you know they're releasing an NFT and they're taking more of a different route. You guys are you know introducing this idea and bringing this idea of wearable fidgetals, you know, which is still something that is growing
aspect of this space, you know, a way for people to show off their NFTs that they've invested in and stuff like that. So I guess for me, you know, what is it about, you know, the wearables that really, you know, pick short interest and why do you guys want to, you know, pursue that route and bring that to Web 3?
Yeah, so maybe I should start so basically as for me like from my side as I told like I would say this all that started with my professional field so Basically I was just always big fan of accessories and everything that's like
how we brought that idea to life. But of course that wouldn't be possible without actually high technologies. And I think Maratkin actually adhere more.
about background? Yeah, yeah. I mean in terms of how did we came up with idea of wearable, feed it wearable and actually why wearable because I believe without high technologies we couldn't make it.
Yeah, we watched for trends on NFT market and we understood that there is some frames for photo frames, but there is no variables. And the problem of variable is that it's
It's very hard to create such a device because you need a very big team of engineers, big experience in hardware to make small device in such a size, in such a form of a factor, and to make a production.
of these devices. That's why engineers mainly either focus startups in this field, either focus on technologies and don't make marketing or make marketing but don't have enough technologies. And with Tori,
We just combined our experience since we was in science before that, for that eight years I said, we were, we're a lumany of XPRIZE. If you know these competitions like Olympics in science world,
And after that we understood that we have to make consumer product and when we understood that if consumer product is an accessory and a wearable other people's seat and it marked itself. That's why we focused on wearable.
But there is one more thing about displaying NFTs that it's not the main idea of the product because, yeah, it's cool. It's interesting displaying NFTs, but our main focus is to make digital identity device.
Our device has different protocols, NFC protocol, Bluetooth Wi-Fi, and the idea is that we can, the device can say to the world that he's connected to this
specific crypto wallet and if you have on these crypto wallet any NFTs like crypto punk, you can enter some spaces in the real life. For example,
You don't open and interact with your crypto wallet, but you put your pills. You connect your pills with your crypto wallet and when you click your pills to the
different doors or different NFC readers, they can understand that you are holder of this collection, your holder of that collection, and this interaction with the world is our
strategic interest because it's not just about displaying NFTs but implementing NFTs and to the life of people. So essentially it could work as a verification system for events in a sense.
you know, if a certain project is hosting an event where their holders can attend, if they, you know, are using one of your devices that, you know, displays that they own that NFT and stuff, then it can be as a way for an entry almost. Is that kind of where you're kind of going with that?
Yeah, it's like digital password. For example, what we want to do, you have app ID or Google account to walk into the internet, into the web2, and if you go to the some website, you cannot register, but you can
can enter with your app ID or Google account. We want to make the same thing within a real world using Web3 infrastructure. And we're creating Web3 infrastructure to merge real and digital worlds. And when you have some assets in digital and you walk in the city,
you can interact with the city using your assets on your crypt wallet without risk of losing gate because you don't transfer your NFTs to the device. It only displays what you have. Yeah, so like you said, for security
like this person owns it and stuff like that. Technically you have NFT connected with each field of device since field of device has a hardware container inside that has his specific
code that is nobody is able to take out and we also can't take it out and it's associated with the NFT and when you put this NFT on your crypto wallet
It connects via abstraction with your physical device. And when you authorize with your physical device, application verification, application is going
to the server, it finds wallet on which is sitting NFT associated with this device and watches what else NFTs are on this crypto wallet. So you connect
your device with your crypto wallet by sending NFT of this device to your wallet. It's like mirror in the web 3 of the physical device and where it sits that wallet he represents. Right. So there's no sort of, I guess,
you know, a gas phase for any sort of transfer of asset between the device and your crypto wallet correct? No, no, no, no, gas because you just authenticate yourself one once and then
device just displays any NFT that you have. And if you sell it, it stops to display it. So when you see someone with pills on the device, with pills with NFT on the pills, you are quite sure that he really owns
these images, these NFT, because you can't upload anything, or if you don't have NFTs, and people that have peels, but don't have NFTs, it's useless for them because it's just not working. Yeah, for sure, because yeah, that was one of the things that I wanted to ask you guys about when I was
you know, looking through what it is and what you guys are doing and stuff like that. And I noticed, like I was thinking, you know, people having a transfer from one wallet to the pills wallet and stuff like that. So it's awesome to see that, you know, people aren't out of pocket in that sense for, you know, transferring the assets back and forth, but rather just
reads and displays it on the device. So I want to jump back real quick. You mentioned earlier, you know, the best aspect about wearable digitals is that, you know, they market themselves, you know, people see you wearing it and you guys have three versions of the pills or rather, I guess, three ways that it can be displayed.
or something like that.
introducing them through a physical device rather than straight into NFTs. Yeah, so basically I think that wearable NFTs have kind of potential to become for new generation consumers, what diamonds are for boomers.
So overall, our intention is to bring this opportunity to a mass audience. And we also started to support it from PR point of view. So we already have been featured in big media like Vogue Business, High Bay, and many more, like Venture Beat, etc.
So yeah, I think we just make an easy way like we make it easy for web to consumers to enter web 3 space and also when we will have mined all consumers will be able to buy Pils NFT within both crypto and credit cards. So
Yeah, that should be easy. Yeah, awesome. I think it's great that you guys have thought about the way that you want to make it accessible for people to purchase, whether it's through crypto as most people potentially will, but also for the people that are
to it to be able to use their credit card and as such. So I guess, you know, where will fidgetals is still probably a newer concept to the space. You know, personally, I haven't seen a whole lot, you know, that have actually made it and developed and and and been put brought to market.
But I guess you know with everything inspiration comes from something what are some of the I guess inspirations that you guys have taken around the way that you're you know the design of the product How you wanted to display and how you wanted it to kind of look and feel for the people that are using it
I think I can say for industrial design since it's my point of work. We really love teenage engineering. I don't know if you know what's it. It's a Nordic company that makes audio techniques.
for outer fills, but it's like a bit underground but very clean. So in design way, we aimed to be like Tinage and Junuink of our time, but also we are in
inspired by Brown in of sixties of last century because they were making real they built all the industrial design school we are looking at now because all the cars all the
industrial design mixers, all the stuff we're using is founded by Brown Design. So Brown and Tunnage Engineering for industrial design side is our focus and Victoria can say about double
side, I think of white and something like this, because all that we do is combined of two parts. When you ask about accessories, Victoria I think is more like necklace, I like accessory, I like her binder because Victoria is more about
I'm on the ground and I feel more than like I identify in close communities and for Victoria I think it's like identifying yourself in high society.
So it's like we're very different and one person from high fashion is from underground science. Yeah exactly. I would just add to here that yeah I'm a big fan of necklace. I have a story like when I was walking down the street of New York people were
literally like shouting out like hey I love it you know like so like it definitely attracts a lot of attention and also I've noticed like when I was at NFT conferences like NFT Paris NFT NYC people were just meeting
me and wondering what's that, hey, it's so cool. So I would say that necklace is definitely something that attracts a lot of tension and is a good starting point for networking. But Karabiner, personally, I also love it because it's, I would say it's also kind of under
around fashion accessory and also it's quite practical so you can wear it at your bags at your, I don't know, like jeans or whatever. And yeah, like also we intend to do collaborations with fashion brands like ambush, etc. and
They actually have great examples of carbineers in terms of generally. And another piece is breastlet. I've noticed like many people called it watches, but actually our aim was to be a bit different from watches because actually these are not
not watches. So our aim was to do more a japerly piece, again like kind of cool and kind of cool accessory. And yeah, I've noticed that like again, bracelet is also getting a lot of
likes in the community. And we just started shipping. So we started shipping of our first beta collection. We headed in December and we created just 100 pieces of beta device. So we
have early bird testers and yeah I believe like soon our community will start getting them and I believe like next week we will have first unboxings so please watch them and that these are better devices so they don't have
such functionality like in serial versions which will launch in June 15th. So serial version will be like next evolution of the device with gaming possibilities with a lot of technologies within that tiny device.
But the first one first better version so it allows to actually display your NFTs and also We give it cool NFT to the holders from our both collection so quite cute
which actually are starting point of our gaming lore. So Pills is also launching its own game called Sales. And those who will buy Pills NFT, claimable for serial devices, will also get gaming pad.
and actually holders can already start playing mobile version of the game from like since first day of purchase, since first day of claiming. Yeah, so I believe it's quite cool. Yeah, I, uh, I'll add, I see.
that Athena and Bake 4.5767 and also Yeyuu are with Nikos and the first batch of devices is on its own sway, its all road insipment and I think they will get it in a couple of days.
It has less functionality than the main device. It's more about show how we work with how we work with jewelry, how we work with hardware. We mainly focused on this
is playing GENFTs and security, it's very secure and it's built on STM microelectronics. So it has less functionality than the main version. The main version will be on 4 nanometer technology process where
discussing now with Qualcomm Snapdragon and with the NXP, it's Phillips, and it will be like a smartphone in a pill's case because we will have three graphics. I don't know if you're interested in such a technical questions.
But yeah, so we also gifted we also gifted balls collection. It's like a lower collection of our main game balls collection is hundred of
circle circles with eyes and it's collecting that is living on the different planet and making cubs and but they have some climate issues that's why they are
exiting their planet and main sale, public sale and next sale that will be soon is you get your cells NFT character and
device. Sales NFT character is a cell that you will improve for months while you are waiting for your device. While you are waiting for your device, it will be a mobile game for with a couple of chapters and you will
crease level of your cell it will become a complete character like both family but grown on the earth and when you get your device you will transfer your cells to the pills and after that you will have
your digital pad and you will have be able to breed with different digital pads with NFC protocol just touching two devices with each other and it will have a lot of functions. It's like we're trying to make tamagotchi with functions of Pokemon Go and
Nintendo DS of 2007 something like that Yeah, now a lot to kind of unpack from what you both just said then I guess to bring it back real quick to the original question about the the wearables I'm just touching on what Tori said originally about you know the neckline
and getting a great feedback from it. I think something like that is really awesome to see and it's cool that you have had that in-person experience receiving that feedback already, especially with something that is in your face. Someone is wearing a notice straight away, which is really,
cool compared to something that you know might be on your wrist and such and so you know you've got you've got the best of both words you know you've got the necklace one but you also got something that you know might be a little bit more subtle but it just is equivalently as stylish you know for something on the wrist
So yeah, that kind of cover that is what you mentioned the bracelet thing. I noticed on I believe your website or medium article, there was a picture displaying kind of what's included
with the device when you purchase it. Do you get all of the attachments as mentioned before, the necklace, the carabiner, the bracelet so that you can switch it in and out as you please, or do you purchase the specific one that you want
Yeah, so basically yeah, we'll have the full package that is actually exclusive offer for the limited collection which we're launching on June 15th. So basically what you have you have a limited version of
serial device with generally fitting accessories and also a charging case sweetable for actually pills and magsave and can't and also cool packaging like just you know for some exciting unboxing process
And after you claim your device, so you can do it on the first day of sales, you will also be air-dropped and interactive NFT pad that's from sales game. Yeah, so that's what you get.
Awesome. I think it's cool that you guys are giving the people the option to you know wear it how they please cuz you know Someone might not always want to wear it as a necklace some might not always want to wear it as a bracelet So you know they have that option to just put you in and out and you know style it to to whatever outfit They're trying to go for which is real
really cool and you know, display it in the way that they want to. So I guess now let's jump to the Tamagotchi aspect that you were mentioning just before. I was also having a look at that that you know, there's that you want to bring that kind of
you know, life to the NFT and make it beyond just the wearable, but have it digitally interactive as well. I guess that's the crossover of a digital wearable or digital as they're called. So that's something that you're fleshing out alongside this June release as well, I believe.
Yeah, we already drop device with gaming character. It's a cell and it's four chapters in a mobile game. And on first chapter you born
like a cell in the space, it's a space or to say. After that it's a way of becoming, it's a way where your cell become a more complete character. On first chapter you
make DNA of your cell. On the second you improve on Earth, you develop it on Earth. On the third you play in open world, you go to your walk in the laboratory,
and get trades with interacting with laboratory and fourth level is where your cell is cooperating with other cells and tries to escape from laboratory and when he tries to escape he is I think I shouldn't tell all the
story. And after that you get your device and you already improved your cell, it's dynamic NFT and when you finish chapters it appears change and it trades change and when it's
grown up and ready to become a complete person in real life. You transfer it on your pills device and it's a second very big part of game when you can communicate with different
cells in real world, they fill each other if you are in less than 50 meters with another cells holder holder on pills, they fill with Bluetooth that some
other cells is near and they start to vibrate and react that they are near each other. When you meet with the cells holder, you can click your pills to the different persons.
pills and they will breed and in a couple of days or in a week they will have a cub that will be minted as a child. It's like cryptic mechanics. It will take genetics from parent 1 and parent 2. We have
have very since we're from science party, we have a lot of friends that are medical in genetics and they helped us to create very big genetics model that is that we combined with three
model and genetics of your pet determines his appearance and when you breed to cells and they have a baby, this baby gets
some parts of gene from parent1, some from parent2 and it is sometimes in some things is like first parent in some things like second parent.
There is a more mechanics with mobile, it's like feeding, caring and we will make some games into outdoor games when you're walking through the city and to interact with the
But yeah, I think Tori want to say something. Yeah, just wanted to add that might be important for you guys for NFT collections is that we are also developing software development kit which will actually allow to use that kind of tomagotch mechanics within
and NFT collections. So this is something what we are already developing and it's going to be live next year. Yeah, so we already like, you know, like Matt and squish the touchy, I don't know, like how to pronounce on blockchain. So something like that. So that's something what
can go live next year. Yeah, we're making SDK for other gaming studios or NFT collections to make their own games on Pills. It will be like mini App Store inside of the application and you can
improve your entity collection you can make it not only displaying on pills but be also interactive on pills and we already started our first gaming development with Flipper 0 it's not an Fliq collection but it's hacking device
for hackers and they have mascot Dolphin living there and we are making it's also a physical device with NFC and when you touch with your with your flipper zero your pill the device
Dolphin from Flipper go to Pills and is minted as an NFT and it's mechanic of making some physical object in real life as a mirror in Web3. So we're making physical device
minted just copy in Web 3. Yeah awesome and I think you know the the gaming aspect that you guys are introducing and and finishing out is is really really important as well to you know go beyond just the digital the the the physical aspect of what you
you guys are offering, the wearables are an incredible thing for people to be able to display their NFTs and stuff, but with the digital and the back end aspects of the temper, like features and these game-like features that you guys are creating and implementing, it adds a whole other reason to
get involved with the variables, which is really awesome. So you guys are adding value digitally to what the actual physical aspect of the device is able to do. Yeah, awesome, awesome stuff. That's kind of all I had.
From my and is there anything that you feel we haven't touched on that is important for people to know about what you guys are doing at all or do you feel like we've kind of covered everything thus far Well, I believe we covered not everything but most important things just to want people
to sum up that we'll be looking for you guys joining in Kao Mint which is happening on June 15th. So please join the wait list at prement.xwisez/pills. Just to stay informed, feel free to follow us on social media.
social media, we are always, you know, like the progressing. So we already have quite cool design of the landing page. Maybe you can just check it out, but we also will launch a new design next week. So a lot of things are in background. And yeah, so I think we can
announced the winner in our comments. So I believe our social media manager, she will actually make a tweet with the winner. And yeah, thank you guys for listening. It was amazing. Thank you, Squeezieverse for
inviting us. It was an honor. Thank you. Yeah, now of course I appreciate you guys taking the time out of your day. I know it can get quite busy, especially leading up to release something. So thank you guys for being here with us today. And yeah, for those that are listening, definitely give these guys a follow, check out their
the web page. It is super, super impressive. I've scrolled up and down continuously looking at everything that you guys have going on and quite a lot of information there. You guys also have a medium article as well. So for those that are listening, if you want to physically read and take in more information, check out the medium articles also.
Twitter pages posting about information there, but also the Instagram. So I guess just to quickly kind of touch on that as well, you know, the marketing you guys have crossed beyond just Twitter and you know the IRL aspects, but you guys have also been posting on Instagram, which I think is super important, especially for some
that is a wearable, you're able to show it off in various different situations for people to really grasp what it is that they're purchasing, which is really, really cool as well. So I think it's awesome that you guys have been utilizing Instagram in that way. So guys, you definitely check out their Instagram as well.
and yeah follow them on everything and hopefully everyone learned something today. Keep an eye out for if you have won that free mint coming up on June 15th and yeah appreciate it. Thank you for all listening. Enjoy your day evening morning wherever you are in the world and we'll see you all next time.
Thank you guys see you
