Hey guys, just testing my device in connection here. Am I clear?
Yes, you are loud and clear. All right.
Okay, let's give a couple of minutes more and we can get this started.
[TAKE VO]
Okay, I think we can get this started. Welcome to another Twitter space guys. My name is Sakeesh. I will be the host today. I lead the exchanges and liquidity operations at the loss.
And I've been with the law since 2018 and I'm super excited to have Izumi finances our guest speaker today and yeah, maybe let's kick it off. Do you want to unmute yourself? It's Jan, right?
Correct. Perfect. Maybe you can solve. We can sort of like a quick interaction. Can you tell us about yourself and your background where you based in
For sure, so I am young, I'm the social media manager of eSrmf Finance, so I'm basically the person who's behind eSrmf Finance all the time. If you have ever DMed me, maybe it's me responding to your message. So I'm based in Singapore, like in
of my team does. So my personal background, so I started off as a Dell contributor and community contributor for many, many channels and communities. And so basically I was doing like a
post for spaces, to their spaces for a community and I got introduced by a friend of mine and he referred to me to the team of Izumi Finance who was then expanding its team up so then I joined Izumi Finance as the social media manager. I joined
I think it's in March last year, so it's been a year and a month. So yeah, that's me. So I'm just like nobody starting from actively contributing to a thousand communities.
and then got my real job as a web-tree practitioner. That's great to hear and we're super grateful to have you here. Yeah, and I think like everyone of us go through this journey, like just starting as either like an investor in the space
or just buying some tokens and then getting involved with projects and then you find your community. I think that kind of relates to my story as well in crypto starting in 2017. Ending up in the anti-low port like the TILOS community basically.
Getting back to the topic, could you share us about Izumi Finance? What do you guys do today? How do you differentiate yourself from the other D5 protocols that's out there in the market?
Of course, unfortunately, I'm not one of the family members of Izumi Finance. I joined maybe half a year later since their launch, but I'm super grateful to be in this team. I'll just share what I know of.
of as a liquidity as a service protocol. I don't know if you guys remember, like the last couple months of 2021, there's a crazy liquidity war going on with the Olympus style and Rarity protocols and, you know,
benchmark. benchmark is now renamed to a Pando Finance. They are very big right now. And by then there were a lot of liquidity wars between all these taxes and defibrillal costs. So they are already doing one point about how to accelerate this inner cycle with
with enough liquidity without providing that much of emission. We all know that providing emission or incentives for farming and for liquidity payers, they are not sustainable. They are not self-sustainable. You have to constantly pay the liquidity providers in order to keep them in track.
that's not a sustainable way in terms of economic wise if you want to build up a business you have to consider your spending. And then this is how easily finance got started. So we actually provide you aggregators
