Hi. Hello. Long time. No, see. Okay, let me treat you out.
I am again welcome to this page, just ending out invites we
waiting for people to come in and we'll be starting in a few minutes. I just got a new kalimba so I'm gonna try and play it while we wait for people.
Sounds pretty nice. I like Calimba.
Okay, I don't know that instrument by names. Maybe if I see photo, I will be able to identify. It's like a tiny box with a hole in it and there the metal
What can I call them? Like pins that they're not strapped, like, happens and then you play them with your thumb. So also called the thumb piano.
Oh. So there are these metal things that vibrate that give a nice bell-like tone. It's a fun instrument.
we wait another couple of minutes and then just start.
Hi God of mushroom welcome to the room. This is the Teso's Art Weekly episode 10 and we'll be starting in just a minute.
Okay, let's do this. Hi guys, it's another Tuesday and we're back with the 10th episode of Tezos Art Weekly. We are Tezos India Arts and Culture and we do these spaces. Every Tuesday to bring you up to date with what's happening.
you know, in the test was ecosystem about the cool events that happen, all the opportunities that exist for, you know, artists in the space and also the activities that we are sort of, you know, undertaking to sort of, you know, empower artists in the ecosystem. So,
very happy to have you here Parijat and yeah over to you so how has the week been and you know what are the important updates that we should know about this week. Hi everyone and welcome to
to episode 10. Thank you, sir, Vishakhti. Yeah, it's been quite an interesting week. Just like to start by welcoming everyone to the room. Mr. Mukherjee Parijad Mukherjee, who is the artist behind a project that we're talking about. Welcome.
and we have got a mushroom in the room as well, welcome. So it's been a pretty interesting week on the Teso platform. We are tail goes India arts and culture. We're working in with artists in India to
bring people up to date with Web 3 technology and how to be self-sufficient on the blockchain on the Tesla's blockchain learn how to mint learn how to create work for different marketplaces and also connect with the community. So this week is a special episode because we talk about the
community beyond the art community that we usually focus on. We are talking about projects as well this week and PFP projects to be specific and gaming projects as well. So this week was the start of
30 days of PFP giveaways and this is an event that is happening on the Tezos India Arts and Culture Discord. The idea of this event was that we have been doing this for 10 weeks now and we have a lot of Indian artists who have come into the Tezos
ecosystem and they have been exposed to the art that's out there but there has been a lot of other things that have been done that are art centric but go into other realms and those project usually involve what we call the PFP
which is a profile picture project if I'm not mistaken, is that what the short form stands for. So they involve the creation of characters and things that people might want to have as their profile picture, but these projects also have
utility in the way that they open up to communities. It might be as simple as a discord channel where you need to hold the NFT to enter to chat with the other holders and it could be much more complex like Projects Excelestial X which we'll be talking about today.
And the reason that we did this was to expose the Indian artist community to these projects so that they could see first see what has happened in the Tesos blockchain, what is happening with these larger projects. They can learn, they can be part of the
of new communities outside just the Indian artist communities they can reach out to people on an international level participate in things that they might even enjoy outside of of art so PFP projects are the
the main focus of our giveaways. And today is day two of the giveaway. We had a TZ raffle stick it that was raffled yesterday on our Discord. And today we have a celestial X PFB.
So we are very art centric. So before I really get into the project and the utility, I just like to welcome Parijat Mukherjee on stage.
is the artist behind the Celestial X project so it would be great to just say hello and learn a bit about the artistic brain behind this project.
So a very warm welcome Hi, Hi, Parijitla. Are you there? Yes, yes, I am there. Greetings to everyone. It's nice to be in an, you know, in a pit with a space after a long time. I had a
started to be in NFT ever since when it started to become a thing it has been a one and a half year or so it was there before as well but when I joined up at that time in India it was very little very few people started
to join. I was quite active in arts lesson, FD and everything. I really wanted to, you know, I thought that since it's mostly art centric and many other things, there are lots of other utilities as well. So I thought that I would be a lot of like-minded people, I would be able to express myself and so on.
And so I joined them after after a while I really made a lot of friends and Connected with a lot of people including some of the other people who are behind Celestial X I made them at the time Make it creations and other people and over time
I was really working on different blockchains. After what's what happened, there was a lot of uncertainty regarding what will happen to crypto in India and so on and so forth. In the middle there was a lot of speculation.
whether it is going to be outlawed or things and due to my work as well I couldn't be in the space for a while but I am returning now. I talked with them and I worked with the Celestial X which I think is a good for starting back again so that's there.
I always was very much interested in art and creative endeavors. I am also interested in writing stories. I am trying to make some artworks where it will be attached to the story. That's my future plan.
or on from my side and I am also working with other projects like the Celestial X. I really learned a lot working with this project because I never worked in a profile picture based project before all my previous one works
were one on one. So Celestialia was my first project in this regard. I had done one on one before but this was a lot of learning and there are a lot of scopes of learning in here. I really connected with
lot of people and that's why I joined this space because I thought that there will be a lot of people, interesting people with I have met a lot of people who have amazing talents. So I am looking forward to be in this basis again. So that's about me.
Thank you so much for that introduction. So art weekly every week is more less of a conversation between people and more of us talking giving weekly updates, but this is a special edition and our 10th edition and we really wanted to talk to you and have you here.
but we'd love to have you back in our Thursday spaces which is more of a session where which you might be used to where a lot of artists come and speak about themselves and connect with each other. But we're really happy to hear from you for the first time and hope to
talk to you more about the work. A quick reminder that we have a giveaway of this celestial X project. It is happening on our discord right this moment. In fact, there is, it's been running for 24 hours and it's going to end
end in a matter of minutes actually. So if anyone hasn't entered, there have only been six entries and there will be one winner chosen. It ends in nine minutes. So if anyone wants to enter, you have nine minutes to get on to the T.A.C. Discord and Google
to the giveaway channel and click the giveaway button. That's all you have to do and if you win then we ask for your wallet ID and we send you the giveaway that you want. So we're doing one of these every day so we have one Celestial X today and another one tomorrow. So we're really
We are happy to share your work with our community. Actually I would be quite interested in this which discord should I be joining the Celestial X discord or some other discord.
Okay. If you look at the Tesos at Jadsend Culture account, where I'm speaking from, it will be there in the bio, the drawing link.
Okay, I got this this card. It is also in the art center culture. Yeah. So, yeah, everyone is very
come if you miss this giveaway you can join the discord and catch the second and there won't be more celestial eggs that we're giving out it's just two so the second one will be given out 24 hours from now so if we catch a recording of this space do join the discord and participate beyond that we have a lot of really interesting
interesting projects. We have 20 different projects handpicked from the Teso's ecosystem that we will be giving away over the next month. And that 30 days of PFP giveaways, one of the things that I post with when we put these out is not just a giveaway. And the reason we say this is because we
inviting the artists and the project leads into our discord for an AMA where in the general chat anyone can ask them anything if you know an Indian artist is curious about even putting their own PFP project out you can talk to people and just get support or even pitch
to other people you might want to collaborate with. So all of this is happening on our Discord channel. We're here to help the Indian artists empower themselves through the Tesos blockchain and the community surrounding the puzzle.
Cyber Shakri, you are breaking up Shakri, you can't hear your voice. Is this better now? Yeah, absolutely. You're back.
Okay, awesome. So, you know, just the fresher we're doing these giveaways every day this week. So now would actually be a great time to join the discord and you know get the party started. It's a great opportunity to learn about more projects and you know, obviously a chance to sort of get to enter
these projects and get to access not just the T.A.C community but to also get involved with the amazing communities that are actually behind these projects. So I think if you want to expand your pool of people that you
sort of talk to and you know get your daily alpha you know daily GMs I guess now is a great time to be in the T-ac Discord. Absolutely. It's a good time to join it's always a good time to
meet fellow artists and network with the larger community and Tezos because it's one of the friendliest ecosystems that you will find. And just a few things that might come out of being part of the discord discussions from the past we were just discussing things in the
general channel and we came up with the the nine nights event just through a casual discussion. So you know how participation can really make a difference because the nine nights event was pretty well received all over the world. We had artists from every corner of the world, minting their
So even a small discussion can lead to a wider impact. So that's another great reason to be part of this. And back to some big news on NFT ecosystem. I think you know what I'm talking about.
absolutely and you know I'd like you to sort of break this news as well you know because you're so you know deeply involved and passionate about the topic that we're going to be talking about next so please please do us the honors thank you thank you yeah I'm super
super stroke to talk about this. So if you've been on Tesos and you've been through the many types of marketplaces that have emerged and then disappeared and then new ones have emerged, one of them that came during a very turbulent time in Tesos
was versum and versum was created to be a marketplace which was evolved from the original Hickitnunk but it followed a completely new design and a new interface and all of this was contributed to by a lot
of people in the community at that time. So, Versaam was a lot of artists from the Hiketnan Karat moved on to Versaam but it existed as its own marketplace where you could see the work on object but you couldn't really sell it. So, if you owned a Versaam
NFT. It will show up in your collection on object, but you couldn't sell it on secondary or you couldn't see any primary prices or any data really on the work on object. And this week, a Versum and Object have finally collaborated. So now all
uploaded, minted through version can now be sold on object. So what happened because of this is all of this new art got available on object instantaneously. So thousands and thousands of art listings suddenly appeared on object and people could
see the primary and secondary. So there were some sense it wasn't used by everyone. There were a lot of amazing artists work who, which was still on primary, which suddenly kind of got revealed in the collection that, oh, this stuff is still on primary. So there was a bit of a frenzy in the beginning
collecting some of the more well-known artists work on the Versome contract which is now visible on object which is why I am so excited because I created as an artist an entire different facet of my art I wanted to do pixel animation and
I hadn't done that on any other platforms. I chose Versaume to do that kind of work and it's heavily inspired by one of the Pezos OGs called Pixelful. I with a one. Pixelful has been pixel animation artist who's been using
using code from the early days of hand and has been displaying his work in I guess I think Tezos Miami had a pixel pixelful installation quite a followed and well respected artists on the platform. So I'd
been seeing his work and trying to be inspired by it and being a coder myself I've done my own algorithms to look like this pixel art and I didn't have a home for it and for some became this home for this art because it was really a space for a certain style
And now that is available on object and it's visible and everyone can see it. So I'm super stoked about this and I'm going to be working on a new piece just for Bersam. So cyberShakty, that's for you since you are conversation earlier today told me I don't talk about my work. I finally did.
Yeah, can come with to sort of you know see what you bring and Honestly, I have had the pleasure of collecting some of your pixel art and You know the wonderful things that you did for nine nights, so I
I want to tell you all, every day for nine nights artists were falling, a particular color for the day. And yeah, our man here did something very cool. He started off with class and nature and then eventually
you know for the later part he was just having fun with pixels and it was such a sheer delight to sort of you know watch him sort of build a small series over the nine days and you know also thank you for giving me the flamingo the pink one it's absolutely amazing it's super cute and can't wait to sort of
see what you will do for Versa because I remember seeing your tweet and you talked about it quite passionately and I absolutely agree that Tezos ecosystem has been the playground for some brilliant pixelatus. It's such a sheer joy to
watch all these pixel animations and stuff that these particular set of artists are creating. And if you are in the Tezos ecosystem, it's hard to not have come across their work because honestly the entire community sort of, you know, cherishes these
artist work and I've had the pleasure to collect some of these artists work as well so I absolutely get where you're coming from this is pretty cool and you know I also sort of intend to try my hand let it of course. You mark you mark is very addictive.
pixel art and composing especially when you're limited to the 8 by 8 pixel grid. You scratch ahead at first wondering what to do but once you get into the flow you're like okay I have to I have to do it with these limits. I have no choice then your creativity suddenly flows in a way that
you wouldn't expect I would say you know and it really me too and you try and express the art that you're normally doing in bigger format like okay I want to do that but with 8x8 pixels so it's quite a challenge but it really it gets you closer to what your art is about what you
your color palettes are what your compositional style is. So as an artist I feel it's also great exercise just to mint three or four of your style of work but on 8B2 as a platform because that's an 8 by 8 pixel grid that's all you can work with.
So it really through limitations allows you to understand your own creativity in a more specific way. Hey, do you want to talk about the cool or the event that we came across? Yeah. Yeah.
absolutely you know this is obviously a great month for you know all artists to sort of participate in some inspired word from sort of you know event anyway like there's inktober happening from glitch artist there's glitch to you know glitch tober happening
And you know the Tesla ecosystem is actually where at any given point of time the community takes initiative to you know start a hashtag like we did with nine nights and Something similar is happening for Halloween now. We all know Halloween is you know the spookyest time of the year so
There's a particular community of photographers that have sort of come together and started this photo based sort of hashtag or event where in every photographer is going to be minting a dark themed or spooky theme.
on Tezos have been doing an amazing job. It's so alternative and it's so moody and it's so edgy and now specifically for something as enticing as dark days. I can't wait to see the different dimensions that this could actually go in.
I'm looking at the poster and I really like that the description is lens based art because that really opens up to a lot. It reminds me of analog photography for some reason. When you think of lens based art.
I think it's quite a wide range if you think about it, you could do a lot of things, might be limited in terms of color palette, but in terms of composition you could do so much. Really interesting. We want to participate as
a photographer in some way at some point but I'm already doing so much as an artist. I'm like, no, that's just going to be a little too greedy to also put my photography up. Let me just focus on the things that I'm in my zone but something like this is really enticing. You could make an all
then make like an non photography thing. Okay, might just do that. Yeah, you know, side track but quickly so I know some artists that you know when they sort of experiment with say like news
that's like not their core art so they actually make a new alt test account and then they make that wallet meant only a particular set of CDs so you know that's their way of sort of having a very non-biased take on
there are in the sense like if they mint it on their existing wallet it shows up on your object and then you know like how it is with my page my page is mixture of everything yeah but my illustrate
But these are the sort of, you know, tried to sort of play off as a non-projects and they somehow still managed to sell because the art itself is so good and it's not attached to their names. Almost starting all over again. Yeah, yeah. Pajat has a question for us.
So when I was talking after a while I saw how that you mentioned a space a marketplace new marketplace I couldn't catch the name what was that again? 8 Bidu
it as in the number 8 BIDOU. It's Japanese marketplace and it is an on-chain marketplace. So all there is no images or NFTs attached to the contract. The art is
part of the contract because it's a 8 by 8 colored pixel grid. So you have to create an 8 by 8 pixel image. It's quite quite a unique marketplace and concept for. I see. So the NFT itself is going to
part of the contract over here. It is almost pushing the boundaries of the art to the extreme.
I have a very solid control over what colors, what parameters you are using, your ideas about the shape and everything. 8bq, if I am searching it, it is not coming. I'll message you after this and tell all the links.
happy that you are interested. We love to see how you do your work on this. I am happy to guide you through it after the space is there. Okay, and I have another question for the cyber shakti. I heard about this dark test event. See, since
I had been away from this, I was not really following it now I am trying to follow it back again. So this darkness event I am really interested in at least since I am not a very professional photographer but I will at least want to see what other people may and be
Yes, yes, so I'm not very good at pinning things, but let me try once again. So I actually just retweeted the poster again. So there's a photography community called Phototes that is the first of Tezos.
And these guys have sort of come together to put forth a hashtag that photographers across the globe in their own individual styles can come and participate using this hashtag. So it's easy for discovering others work.
So definitely do follow that hashtag and we'll keep talking about all these events in the discord as well in the T- app discord. So you'll always be updated with things happening across the globe. Okay. The portal does the trend when we are making photographing
30's on days then we are using the photo test community and sort of right. Or photos. It's actually PHOT as a combination of photo and test photos. It's a photo. Yeah, it's a. It's a account. It's also discord channel if you want to talk to the community.
Because it's quite interesting, these things, many of the people who used to do NFTs when I started out, many of them had fallen out, some are still continuing.
So I really want to meet other people who are interested in creative expressions. And since horror is my jam, my book that I tried was also an horror. So I really want to see the photos and other artworks that people would put out for Halloween.
Nice, I'll send you a bunch of links on that as well. Hello enthusiastic artists. Sorry, sorry Shakti, you were saying. I finally pinned it. It happened. Yes, it pinned to the top if you'd like to take a look. That's the photo's event.
Are there any other events? I think that's the one. What about glitch to burn ink tober? Has it really made its way onto the blockchain at all? Or is this still on the web to platforms?
is largely just artist globally doing this in their own sweet way. But Glitchtober has Glitch Artist's Minting Glitch Artworks, the basis prompt of the day and quite a few of them are doing this
quite sincerely and most of the glitch artists sort of do tend to reside in the TESO ecosystem. So if you do follow the hashtag you will probably find amazing glitch work under this table.
I will definitely check that out. I love glitch art. 30 days 30 prompts.
We should do a session on Glitch Art one day and just go into the methods and the processes. It's so interesting. It's so worth. But do we have anything else that's happening in the art and culture?
World on Tezos? For this event wise I think there is a buzz of, obviously it's the blockchain and the celebrity fever is high.
and brands want to come in but something amazing that's going to happen in the Tezos ecosystem is that Ziggy Marley. Bomb Marley's son, he is looking at doing a drop on Tezos, he's a very very versatile and talented artist obviously born to Bomb Marley, he's sort of
surrounded with talented musicians, you know, from the time that he was a baby and till date he's released 22 albums and on 17th October Ziggy Maldi will do an exclusive NFT drop on Tesos which is huge.
And it's done in partnership with the NFT platform called One-Off. And essentially this project is looking to raise funds that will be donated to urge foundation. And yeah, so if you sort of a reggae fan, this one probably is something that you may want to learn.
about for. Yeah, this is a really interesting drop because Zigimali is quite a well-known philanthropist. So I think this is being done completely by him and all the proceeds are going to charity and he's collaborating with quite a fantastic artist
what is on this. I actually haven't seen much of his work but now that I research him he's worked with a lot of big names. His name is Jim Mahfud and he's a stunning comic book artist like his style is really really unique.
So I can't wait to see the art for this. This looks like it's going to be a serious art project with an iconic musician and such an amazing artist behind it. So this should be, I think, one of the most interesting drops so far on one off because I
I've been checking out the one-off artwork. It's a lot of like 3D and Blender and a lot of photography from the artist events or in the studio. But an artist like this, you'd expect this kind of work to be on a super rare channels marketplace or something.
For it to be music NFT is is I think it's gonna be great. I'm gonna definitely keep an eye on the Ziggy Mali drop I Wish I had something of Jim Mahfud's to to pin to the top because the art
I'm just looking at it, it's stunning. But if you're listening in, you could just look him up. It's J-I-M-M-A-H-F-O-O-D and he's the artist that is going to be collaborating with Ziggy Mali. This is dropped on October 17th.
I'm actually going to one off drop. So Jim, Jim my food M A 8 and O O D. He's an amazing comic book cartoonist.
I wish we had more info about multiple editions, single edition, pricing, etc. But I guess we'll have to if for 72. You know, yeah, it's with one of the they don't reveal all the info at once. But they have had some successful drops. I think they did a drop
dedicated to the rapper Biggie and that did pretty well. I'm not sure if it's sold out but I saw a lot of people I see the health of a PFP project not by the fact that it's sold out or not. Is it really being adopted by people? Are people still putting it as their profile? Do they still
feel an attachment which is why if you see me I'm more often than not I have a desert PFP and really the only thing holding that project up in value apart from the great art of course is the fact that so many people have just kept it as the
the FP, you know, like they believe in the project. I think that's really what's holding up everything including the floor. And yeah, I think, you know, to have a PFP that you really connect with is an important thing. So in the 30 days of PFPs, we've got all sorts of stuff that
we're going to give away. In fact, since we have a few minutes, I'm going to pull up the giveaway channel just to go through it really quick. So we have a celestial X that we just gave away today and we're going to go to the discord. The winner was Naya.
So congratulations, Naya for winning the Celestial X. There will be another referral tonight that will finish tomorrow. So you have a chance to collect, to win another one. And we also have some, we'll be doing some Twitter giveaways of, um,
these extras that get a drop to the project. One of them is the celestial otters collaboration. We'll be giving that away on Twitter. We have the Mutin Gecko Gang Tesserts tribute that will be given away on Twitter on Discord. The next
project will be the fellow group of Ilmerich which is by the blender artist crypto dudes so we're looking forward to having him come and talk about blender and how to make PFP projects on blender. Then we have chop sumos which is one of the old projects on test
on Tezos, which is due to have a level two where the sumo's actually get to battle. So we're going to have one of those. We have the taco dudes, which if you're a developer on Tezos, you have seen the taco dudes a lot of the dev community, the coders, they always have taco dudes as their PFPs.
So we have one of that then we have the cyborg kids club which is more like the happy chill Maybe little djenn maybe little cute that kind of vibe Then we have the mutant gecko gang, which is the mutation of the cyborg gecko gang and that's just really
six art. We love the Newton Gekogang art. Then we have Jake Gumbleton. I hope I got the artist name, right? His project vessels, which is hand-wrong, which you might like. Parijad, he's created an entire universe around
these space citizens from different planets and this is the Gen 0. He plans to expand upon this universe. So there will be a vessels Gen 0 given away. Then we have one of the really really piot old school TSO's PFP
project, which is GoGo's. This is a cult project by Arya from Indonesia. And he is one of the most famous artists on the Teso's ecosystem. So this was his project along with the developer called the GoGo. So we have one really cool looking GoGo. And GoGo's
If you connect to the website of the Google, there's a machine and it spits out these printable stickers. Every time you click the button on the machine, but it's the printable stickers of your NFT. So there's some very quirky stuff that they've done. Then we have the DGN docs, which is like a DGN project.
I'm not sure what they're doing, but they are there. They're part of this. We also have another active community called the DGEN Foxes. They are part of a bigger group that has made games on the test.
was ecosystem. We also have the Bigfoot Mafia Club. So we have one PFP from there. They do a lot of outdoor camping and I think they also have poker tournaments online. They are pretty active, quite active
PFP project. I think one of the most right now. And one of the big, known projects that we're giving away that's got everyone very excited is the Neons. So we have one really, really cool Neons to give away. So we can't wait to give that. And then we have a few
other deserts, derivatives, we have a high-edition max capacity since cyberShakti and I have both max capacity fans without one max capacity, a dustpunk X should be in there so that's also one. And yeah that's that's what I can see
in front of me in the wallet. We have, so all of this is going to be given away to the community. So we hope you can join the Discord channel and participate and learn more about these projects, learn how much hard work has actually gone because a lot of work goes into not just creating these projects.
projects and finding collectors but also keeping the community going. We have to give credit to the people who make that commitment to the community that they're going to be there, day in and day out on Discord and answer questions and help. So all of these projects
to some extent have been keeping the Tezos community life. So this is also tribute to them. We hope to send some good people their way that can be members that can contribute to their communities as well. So that's my bit on the 30 days of PFP giveaways.
Wow, I think there's so much to look forward to in the next 30 days of October is a very active month in terms of arts and activities that are happening. We have the PFPs giveaway and we also sort of
know that you do a lot of workshops at your end to bring more and more amazing traditional and you know IRL artists into the ecosystem and obviously we're planning some workshops across cities and we sort of talk about them more when we are ready to sort of talk about
them but I do feel like that's thank you for reminding me Chakri we have not announced but scheduled our next meeting next workshop will be announcing tomorrow so it will take place in Kolkata on Saturday from 1 to 3 pm.
So all artists in Kolkata are welcome to come and join. It's a free workshop for up to 10 artists. We teach them how to use Web 3 and the Tezos ecosystem to mint and swap their art. Thanks for the reminder. So we do have a happy October.
and a lot of things to look forward to. And on Thursdays we will be back again with another amazing artist and you know sort of deep dive into their journey and learn more about you know how so many amazing artists sort of you know who have
various individual styles and you know interesting journeys that we sort of really look forward to Thursday spaces. So, you know, we will be back again on Thursday for another deep dive into another amazing artist. We are yet to sort
of get confirmation on the name and hence the announcements will be out soon. But yes, thank you for sort of, you know, coming back to the Tuesday's Paces to get news and updates from us.
Do you have any more announcements for today? I think that's it for this week. There will be a space on the Plenty Twitter channel that is
the Tesos community call. So we spoke, they focused on T.A. class Saturday. So I got to speak there and talk about Tesos Indian Arts and Culture activities. So it's a really great space if you're a Tesos artist and you want to reach out to the wider community globally
the plenty of Tesos non community call every Saturday. I believe it will be 10 p.m. India time. That's a good one to check out. Amazing.
music and quick round of applause to everybody that tuned in and shared with us. Thank you. Thank you for joining us, Paradejadath. I'm here to introduce you to the project
