What's up y'all welcome everybody to the flip side
This is episode 52 today. We talk about how to stay strong and how to stay positive during negative times
You know and that's not an easy thing to do
You know especially when you're going through something or you know
You don't know the outcome of what something will be kind of either said and done
so we got someone that's gonna come with a just a powerful story today to to kind of
Embody that whole message, you know
just embody the whole message of staying strong during negative times staying positive during negative negative times and
Really making it through and and yeah, man. The story is powerful
So shots and miss Tamara because she's gonna be featured today on the episode whenever she arrives today
We'll be talking to her. I'm asking her some questions learning about her story letting her take the floor and
telling you guys about what she's been through and on just
Scott brace yourself because it is truly
It's a it's really a story, you know
She's just strong to have made it through you know and to be here even just spraying love like she does in this space
And it's really a testament of love as well
just that love you know for self and and love to keep going and and love for you for your family, so
Should be here shortly got a giveaway or two up top
You know, we got some love caps in the rainbow Jack's ass about to be here probably tomorrow most likely Monday
We'll get those in Monday Tuesday and then hoodies on the way as well
They ship out on Wednesday, which will take two weeks to arrive and then a few days from there to get to us
And the mushroom happy caps. They should be here pretty soon
It will they'll be here before the hoodies for sure. But yeah, that's up then on that. We also panned up
The core value sheet. I know we had this around mint
we wanted to just put it back up there so anyone that has never seen it or
That may not know what we're about you can check that out and also on new community man
Share this out whenever you see new community that welcome to the community image share that out
Let them know we appreciate them joining us and tapping in with it
Definitely have a lot of new people coming in lately
So I appreciate everyone that's been just spreading the word giving away hippies on boring people
You the best but I'm gonna run this record and we'll be right back
Yes, indeed welcome everybody to the flip side episode 52
Today again, we're talking with miss Sam Rama the DM and right past see see where she at right quick
But man, thank you guys for tuning in because you could be anywhere in the world
But you are here right now with the crew and that means everything to us. So thank you for tuning in
Thank you for spending some time with us
Today's conversation is about how to stay strong during negative times, and that's a hard thing to do
Definitely not an easy thing to do
Much easier said than done
I feel like you know
I'm because I've definitely had my times where you know
I had to kind of build back up that positivity and kind of you know motivate myself
So I do know, you know
A lot of times you have to go through the through the feelings as well, you know
You got to experience the feeling you got to
Get through it and you know, I know what that feeling feels like to get stronger, you know, I think
emotional mental strength is
To me more important than physical strength. Of course, you want to you know, work out and take care of your body, too
But man having emotional and mental strength is it it can literally
Add to your physical strength, you know in those times where you're tired
You might not feel like you can push through that mental strength is where it would get you over
So emotional mental strength is definitely important and it's something I think we're focusing on
You know and looking at it with the positive outlook and once again not saying
That the negative things or the negative feelings and I don't really even look at them as negative feelings and natural feelings
That come with you know feelings of discomfort or growth or you know going through things. So
Yeah, man, i'm definitely excited to talk about myself and I really am excited to hear
Miss Tamara's
Story because like I said, no one can share her story like her
Obviously, you know and it is a very powerful story
So definitely on you know, just stay tuned today for that
And anyone is listening in if you'd like to come up
We do have some I got some other questions too
We can we can kind of talk about things
Before she arrives and when she gets here to be all eyes on her but
Yeah, man, if you are free
Uh to tune in or not to tune in to come on up. Come on up if you're free. If not
Uh, we'll keep this thing going. Like I say, it's kind of this whole space today. It's geared towards uh
Sharing that story. So I can't really do too much till she gets here. But what I can do, um, it's kind of go over
Uh, let me look
Look up there right quick
So we do have two giveaways today
Uh, I am giving away a hippie and i'm giving away a love cat
When we actually send out the orders once we get everything else
I don't want to send that out before everybody else gets their stuff. So, you know, uh, but she will get it
Uh, somebody will win that um and
Today's length it depends on how we get today
We may be an hour could be longer than that depending on uh, if this story gets told or you know, um
Pretty much that yeah, if the story gets told and if if you guys are free to come up and talk
Uh, because yeah, I can't talk to myself. So
Um, i'm gonna start it off with
Actually, I do have the program I did
And before I started i'm gonna just kind of
Uh go over how i'm feeling today. Uh, I can I can say that much
Great mood today. Uh, really great mood. A lot of thought today. I kind of haven't been online today
Doing a lot of working actually
Working on the winter capsule working on uh new art. We got a lot of new art stuff happening
So just planning it and getting, you know, inspiration photos and
Figuring it out, you know, and then once you do things when you're doing things like that
It kind of builds on itself. So you always got to be putting time to
Uh creativity, you know trying to push it further and you know, see what new things you can do
also research and studying the scene and
What's going on right now and you know, um where we are
And again, just being patient i'm in a patient place. I'm very patient
Right now, uh very patient and
In life, I think right now very patient not too much in the rush for anything, which is a good thing
I think uh to let things happen as it's supposed to happen, you know, and um, of course not be late
You don't want to time yourself out of opportunities, but you know, let things happen as they will
Not to put too much emphasis on over thought two things
but I do see also, uh
A lot of other communities in here as well. So shout out to you guys. Shout out to
Uh, what killer kid called beast in here. We got space rider. We got uh, who else?
I think that's uh me nippy. Yeah, we got some neat nippies in here some quirks
shout out to dc over
Brie and this thing I see you brie. Thank you for popping up to brie. Uh, I know you'll be over you'll be traveling the world
She'll be traveling the world man
Traveling the world going to see in different places different things. So
Shout out to brie
Shout out to mojo too. I see you in the building man pops in so shout out to you. My boy
Uh made us a song man. Good hippie shout out to him for that record
Shorty and playmaker cock man bricks, uh, everybody man. Thank you guys for just tuning in today, man
I appreciate that personally. I know
You know, this is the space that really moves off of uh popularity and what's
You know popping that's what people usually get their time and effort to so I appreciate you know
Zubik has said something that I totally agree with him with
Uh, but he said man, I appreciate 90, you know, he said 90 because I don't know i'm on in this photo
So let me find a tweet
I don't want to miss quote
But hold on let me look it up. He says
Right here i'm about to find it
He said, uh, I have all the respect for people who show support during the lowest periods
Uh, that's when 90 percent of people tend to fuck off as a founder
Who wants you to pump their bags and who actually wants you to succeed
As a community as well
It's obvious. So, you know, I I felt him on that one. Like I love how his honesty. I love how you
It's just blunt and honest, you know, but it's the truth, you know
this this space really moves off of
Right then and now and what have you done for me lately, you know, so people who support you just wholeheartedly man
That's a rare thing. So sounds all you guys but playmaker. What's up, man? I appreciate you popping up with me man and
Rapping with your board. What's happening?
Me still what's good fam? What's up, Karuma Lee? What's up, everybody? It's it's friday, baby
So i'm feeling i'm feeling real good. I'm off work now
Uh tapped into the space. I I definitely I was looking forward to metagirl talking about her story
I know i've heard bits and pieces here and there
Uh, but would love to hear kind of the full the full thing. I know she was tweeting about it earlier
So she's probably just late but either way man, just chopping it up with the crew is always a good time
I know a lot of other people are probably still working waiting to get off work
But yeah, man, i'm just i'm just chilling
I was actually just working on uh, you know a few things for uh drum circle sunday
Which I hope to see everybody in the crowd in the audience there
uh and just getting ready to plan my weekend got a few things around the
Around the casa around the house that I got to take care of got a few things with the doggies
I got to take one of them to the vet in a little while and uh, just some things
I want to you know get done aside from that, but i'm definitely going to be watching some football
I'm really really big into football
Uh, especially nfl, but I uh, I definitely feel you on what you were talking on about, you know
How you really know who supports you or who's going to be there for you whenever uh, you know
You're in hard times and it's just not you know good times
Uh, there's been rappers there's been you know athletes or what have you who have said it many times, man
You really really see who your friends are when you're down and out and the money is gone
And uh, and and you see who's left and i've even seen um, who was it?
It was i'll remember in a little bit, but they were talking about uh famous rapper was talking about how one time
Uh, he was just messing around and he got all his homies together all his friends and he told them, you know in the room
Hey, I lost it. I've lost all the cash. I have I can't do this anymore
I can't be giving you all money. We can't be doing these trips blah blah, uh, you know
I don't got nothing but you know
Who's still gonna ride with me and there was only a few out of that whole damn group
Who actually were like, yo, we're still here till the end no matter what and uh, the rest of them were like
What you mean you don't got it, you know where to go blah blah. So just like the nfl
Uh, you know, they say the nfl means not for long because you know
When you're there, it's like what have you done for me lately for this team?
If you haven't done shit for me lately, you know, you're getting cut you're you're going to the waiver wire
But if you have done something then i'm rocking with you, right and I feel like with web 3
the buyers the holders are
Treating us like that like we're not for long unless you're producing unless the floor is up unless you know
You're always having spaces and giving away shit
Then i'm not gonna be here for long because that's most of the mentality, you know, they're about the money the drive
They're really not about the you know community the love the spaces and really doing everything
They said they were here for a lot of them
But there are a number of gems still in every community which many of them are in the audience today
Many of them, you know couldn't be here today because they're working other things, but they're here on other days
But no, I feel you on that and that that's the truth and it's a sad truth, but it's the truth
And that's why you know, we have to show
That again nfts are more than just an investment
not, you know, one thing I wanted to do was tweet out something like
You know, no matter what the floor is I could care less because when we talk about community
When we talk about love when we talk about support with hlk
Yo, big floor no floor shit
I'm i'm with you guys all the way because of all the love i've gotten out of these spaces and also
all the help
And health that i've you know regained for my mental health just hearing about your guys's journeys
And hearing about your stories and hearing about your wisdom and you know, what motivates you so sorry to ramble on
But yeah, man, I wanted to say all those things and uh also just say what up to the family
Thank you playmaker and you're absolutely right on that for me
especially, um, you know now
after kind of
Uh, really learning a lot more about the scene and you know kind of taking it for what it is
Uh, it really lets you know
Which is why I said at the end all that
Um, I we really appreciate you guys the ones that you know, because there's a lot of people that you know
I know by name because you guys are always
Supporting and this means something to you just like it means something to me, you know, so again
I appreciate you guys. I really do
um, and you know when you
being in this space is
Very rewarding, you know, um, it's very rewarding
Uh, it's a lot of love here. It's a lot of great energy, you know as well
So it's a lot of opportunity, you know for us to do uh, even more that's how I look at every day
You know when I come in the space like it's a new opportunity
Uh to meet someone new
Uh to tell someone new that that's never heard of us like lindley every day. I feel like
Uh, it's a million people. Well, it is, you know, it billions of people
That's never heard of it. Be like, you know, so
When I think that way, you know, it really opens up
My mind to the fact that man you you know, just grind man to put this grind
You know get your grind on enjoy the process, you know and enjoy, you know being in this space
And it makes it a lot more pleasurable
It kind of makes me feel like uh when I was here in the beginning when I first got here
You know, and I when I arrived, you know, um, it was very fresh, you know
I feel like when you keep it about the
The things that I guess are pure in the space or just pure in anything and you keep it about that
Just like uh, you know a musician
Any musician I know that that strictly, you know, they may party they may do all that stuff
But it's a difference i'm gonna just be honest
I it's a difference when i'm around
Artists the artists that we look at that are really are really successful, you know, platinum multi-pattern records
You know tours all over the world everyone knows them all over the world. They can tour anytime. They want those type of artists
I promise you
When you get around those type of artists
The energy isn't like being and it's not because they're famous, you know, because I don't look at people like they're famous
I care less about that, you know
It's the energy they have it's a whole different type of energy
You know, um, and it's hard to explain, you know, but that same energy
You know is why they are where they are
You know, they don't care about uh, the
The lights and their attractions as much as you think they do
You know, they really care about that craft
And I feel like again being in this space when you care about, you know
Being here for the community and being here to create something together when you keep it
Whatever that reason is for you, you know, you keep it true to what you are and who you are, man
You radiate, you know, and I think that's why you know again
athletes same thing is the reason why tyree kill, you know can be out of racing and you know, uh
Running track for years and then he steps on on the field and he tells the kid i'm about to smoke you
You know and means it because he knows how good he is
He knows how much work he puts in and he knows how much he purely loves what he does
You know, he knows nobody can see him
And he shows it he burnt them kids, you know, I don't know if you ever seen that on youtube, but it's a
Pretty popular little video, but you know just that that it's just a different type of energy, you know, so I feel like
Personally, you know in this space
Radiating with that energy, you know keeping it about again
What we came here for or myself personally what I came before, you know, and again, it's been making it
It's just a lot more fun lately. It's a lot more fun to be in the chat a lot more fun to be in the spaces
Building I always have fun building because I like to create, you know, we like to create things
Uh, whether it's music whether it's you know, uh clothing or an event, you know creating is fun
You know, so that's natural, but you know just keeping it pure. So again
Thank you guys for making this fun and you know being consistent with this. We appreciate that
Uh, but man i'm gonna get is that shout out to our guests right on time
Right on time. All right, so I want y'all to welcome miss tama to this this day. I'm gonna drop some claps
Welcome miss tama. How are you doing today? I'm fine, but I thought it started at three and then
I don't know. I got it mixed up. I thought I had to be on that five. So i'm sorry i'm late
Not late you came at the perfect time two two two those are angel numbers right there. Ah, perfect
Perfect time and i'm telling you, you know, we're gonna hold it down regardless
So we have we've been holding it down having a good time waiting for your queerness to arrive and and and now you're here
So thank you again miss tama for one for being willing to come on today and to share your story
Uh, because I do think it's gonna not only make people appreciate things a lot more, uh, but inspire them to
Uh be positive, you know and and understand that, you know
Things could sometimes be a lot worse
You got to be thankful where you are and you can make it through if you keep going
You know, and I want you to tell them, you know, just let them know man
So we're gonna get into this
Uh, and once again, I say thank you for being here because it's really vulnerable of you to
Uh share this kind of stories again. I just want to say thank you so much, uh for your vulnerability
Uh, thank you just for being you. Thank you
Aw, it's my pleasure. I
If I could help one person
That's going through something like this or even close in proximity. Um
I don't know. It's worth it
Just one person. So, um, where do you want me to start?
All right, so
Um, well what I want you to do I kind of want you before but I go into any questions anything
I don't want you just to tell your story tell tell people uh, kind of what got you
Uh to the point of where you are and some of the things that you've been through that i've heard and a few others have heard
Uh, but kind of break it
You don't have to go into detail because I don't want you to have to relay that or anything like that
But just tell the people a little bit about your story and the things that you've been through
Uh that have gotten you to this place where you are now
Okay, um, i'll start off with um, when I was married I got married at 21
I was going to well, I actually wanted to get away from my parents house
So, um, I met a man and or a boy. I don't know. Anyway, he um
Asked me to marry him and I did and we went to get married in uh, late tahoe
And I told him I said I don't want to get married and he said you're not going to embarrass me in front of my friends
So right then I knew I was in trouble
And i'm not a I wasn't a strong willed person. So, um, I let him
Uh scare me into marrying marrying him and not embarrassing him
Long story short, uh, we were married for 24 years and through those years I had um
mental and physical violence
And each time it happened
A little bit more of me was lost
So, um, I was beginning to I heard it so much. I was beginning to
I believed everything he said everything you're ugly. You're terrible. You're nobody wants you you're nothing without me
You know the typical stuff
so, um, that was that's what um
Got me thinking about um, i'm not worth it and I could never get away from him and then um when my kids were born
my first daughter was born in 1984 and
She was the happiest baby ever. She was always making people laugh and smile and she was so very smart
and if um, her dad and I had a big fight or something, um, she would always try and um
This was at two years old. She would always try and
Get our attention away from it so that we would stop fighting and she was
I'm I know now that she's an angel. She is just she was just an angel
Anyway, um, my husband dropped me off at work
We lived up in the country and we were about 40 miles away from the town that I worked in
so he um had errands to do so he
Took me and my daughter brandy
To work and then about halfway through my shift. Um, I got a phone call from one of the neighbors and said
We're coming to pick you up. There's been an accident and
And they wouldn't say anything else so um
When I got to the hospital, I knew I I just had a feeling something really bad was had happened
and um, that's when I found out that
Um, my husband was ran off the road by a drunk driver and my daughter was instantly killed
My husband was not
And I blamed him for
For a long time a real long time because um, he was a professional truck driver
He should have known but that was just my coping mechanism
I wanted to blame somebody other than the drunk driver
at two years old she she passed and
My world was never the same ever
I still stayed with him and
um, we had
Two more children, um brandy, uh was born in 88 and cody was born in 89
Um, they were like twins and I said I had them 11 half
They were twins and I had them 11 and a half months apart because they looked alike. They acted alike
They were like exactly like twins. They were really close
so when my uh husband
When I moved back, uh into medesto
We were out in the country and
Um, he was a truck driver and many things happened, you know, the the kids there were good times and there was bad times
the kids would always
Bear the brunt of when he was mad. I I saw him
belittle them
And I still as a mother I couldn't do anything about it. I was so scared for myself
And that was that left me so guilty
Um, like who does that who what kind of mother does not stand up for for children?
But he had stripped away everything in my life. He just I was just a shell and um
thank goodness my kids were um
They're like me they're they're client they're kind and they're generous and they're they just love life
so, um the one night that um
I finally decided to
Put it into it. My husband was working on the our big rig. We had our own truck and
um, cody was
Um working this was at 12 o'clock at night
It was a school night and he fell asleep under the truck and my husband got very upset
And chased him into the house and then right in front of our bedroom door. He kicked him in the back
Started yelling at him and um, they walked down the hall and I picked up 9-1-1 and I called and
ever since that day that was my freedom day and
We were really happy. It was my daughter my son and myself and we were finally free
We didn't have to worry about anybody. I was tied to my phone all the time. I had to answer the phone
I had to do things
It was terrible, but we were finally free we could do what we wanted and we had a really really
For the few months that we had together really good time
Um, it was almost like start being reborn and starting life again
Um, then three months after that
um, we went through the trial and he was um
put in prison
Attempted that I forget what the this was in
I don't know the year. Um, but anyway, he was um for aggravated assault and
harm to a minor and
Um, he had tried to break my nose. So um, that was all
All that night. Um, then two months
almost three months later
My daughter and I decided to go to see shrek and we went to shrek at the drive-in and cody didn't want to go
So he stayed home and asked if he could go to the park with his friends
And I told him sure. Um, I just want you home at a certain time and what moms do
the next thing I know, uh
He calls and said
That he was jumped by some boys
and those boys
Were classmates of his and the boy they thought that they were being
Cody was being disrespectful because he had was they he had whistled at um, their cousin that was washing the truck in a bikini
You tell me what 15 year old wouldn't do the whistle and everything else seems a girl in a bikini
anyway, he got I found out that he had apologized to the girl and
Tried to apologize to the boys, but they beat him
in the park and um
Anyway, cody died, um from his injuries and uh
I just lost it. I said, how could I go through this again? God, you can't do this to me. I was never meant to be a mom because
Why would you take my children from me and I couldn't believe it and um, I felt so guilty
Cody and I were so close. We were like we we'd go down the hall
We'd skip at the mall
And be silly he'd let me kiss him on the cheek and say goodbye at school when I dropped him off
We were just really close and brandy
most people know that girls and
Moms or daughters and moms don't get along
All that wealth sometimes that's brandy. She's very strong-willed like her dad and um
She was still kind in everything. So i'm not saying that i'm just saying she had a really strong mind
many times
I said god
Why couldn't you have left cody and right then?
That really got me. I it
It got me in the gut. It got me in the heart and it's like who does that?
So I had to work through that and um
Long story short there. I got help with counseling and
talking to brandy and
I don't know. I think it was because she was so much like her dad that um, I had trouble with her
Coming forward. Um
I have five beautiful grandkids
They live in texas and with her and her husband and
We're not close close, but we are working on that and we're getting closer and the other day she called me mommy
Which she never she didn't hasn't done that in a long time. So that made me feel good
Coked with it when my first daughter died
I was always helping other people if I buried it deep enough. I didn't have to think about it
And I wouldn't have to deal with it and I was just running away from my feelings
when cody died, um
I was more of feeling sorry for myself. It's like I don't want to go anywhere
I don't want to do anything just leave me alone and i'll just live life and just leave me alone
When I got away from him
I started working on myself
I learned to love myself
Um, it took me
Close to three years
But I learned how to live by myself. I didn't need anybody to live with me
Um, I didn't need
Help, um, I did it on my own and that was the first time in my
That I had ever felt strong
when I felt that myself
reaching out to others like um support groups and
Um, if I could like I said if I could have helped one person
That was going through this I would it would make me feel better and it did it made me stronger
um, I know
Exactly where my children are they're watching
From up above and they are my guardian angels
They were angels here on earth and they're angels now in heaven and nobody can ever
Make me not believe that it's just something I know in my heart and my gut
The world was too they were too good for this world. So
God took them home
In order for me to feel good
Cody and I used to pay for people
Random acts of kindness we called it and we would pay for people's
meals behind us or
We would pay toll the toll
Going across the san francisco bridge or golden gate bridge. We would pay their toll. Um, just little things
Was really special to us. We always love to pay it forward. It made us feel good. So that's what I started
Anything I do right now
If I pay it forward when I can I do and I do it in my children's memories
Um, I don't remember
Brandy too much. I'm brandy. I'm sorry heather
Because she was two years old and she died in 86 and that was quite a while ago. So I don't I know
I know what she looks like. I know what she played and did her favorite toys
All that but it's the memory is hard to remember with cody. I remember him now
because 15 years with him and
We were just really close so everything that I do I do my children's name everything they um, they are what drive me
To make people happy and to make people smile and forget about their problems or worries
Is what my goal is and if I can pay it forward and if I have it you can have this shirt off my back
It doesn't matter. I I will give you anything that you need
Um even and i've done that before where
It's like, okay. I have rent but I have
Somebody needs it more than me. So, okay, i'll give it to them
But I I find
I'm most fulfilled doing that
So I enjoy that part. I love random acts of kindness. I love being surprised. I love being
You know giving to people
When they least expect it and I love the smiles
I always try and be incognito or not be seen if i'm in a store like i'll put a 20 bill underneath the can
And somebody will find it and it's just it's just a special feeling to make people smile
So I don't know
The strength that I get from
Um what i've gone through is i'm a better person. I know myself
And right now i've never been happier more content more
Fulfilled in my whole entire life. I've met a very special man
He's my whole world my whole world. I will do anything for him and he
He reciprocates that he values my opinion. He asks my my opinion and I he
Anything and he doesn't ever
Question what i'm doing and we talk about things we don't hide things I
I just can't explain it. I've waited 63 years for
My true love of my life and I found him at 63 and i'm gonna live every single day the best
Every single second i'm gonna i'm just gonna live i'm not gonna go backwards. I'm going forwards and my future is so bright
So I know i've talked a whole bunch
So if you have any questions, go ahead and ask
um, i'm kind of out of
I am I hope I made sense and I hope that I
Have conveyed that it's so important to know yourself and not to
Not to not value yourself
I always say
You can't pour from an empty cup and that means to me
That you have to feed your heart and your soul
with what
Let you live
if you are
Always giving up yourself and giving to others
What have you got left to give to yourself?
And I always found out that if you couldn't love yourself, why how could you possibly love somebody else?
So if you can't love yourself and know yourself, how could you do that for others?
So that's just so important and that's that's a another reason why I decided to share
Man, thank you so much. Uh, miss tamara first off. Let me drop some clap
Okay, that took a lot of a lot of vulnerability and a lot of boldness to share that story
I know that wasn't easy to share. I heard I heard it in your voice when you talked about your son
You know and I and I can tell how close you were, you know, and honestly that
That probably is why I have something connection with because I can relate to that I can relate to that mother's son
You know just the loss of someone that you know had a major impact on your life, you know
And you know just your grace and of course you you know, it's been years since
Those things happen, but you know, it never gets easier, you know, it never gets easier
But you've been able to you know, keep going, you know, and it's inspiring
Uh that all of man you went through so much
You went through so many things and you're here you're strong like it's like antoine fisher but the female version, you know
Like you're still strong. You're still standing, you know and and and doing great things
I feel like this part of your life is everything, you know that it should have been, you know
You're gonna have so much just love in your life
You already have it with your with your newfound love and your daughter like that was exciting to hear your daughter calling you mom
You know, that's a that's an exciting thing, you know
So you're just in a great place right now and and I personally couldn't be more happy for you and I know
Uh that it's just gonna get better and better because you really are an amazing person
Since i've gotten to know you myself
And just interact with you
You're one of the people that i'm most drawn to in the whole space and the whole way through space
You're one of the realest people i've met in this whole space
You know, and I just personally appreciate you
So, uh, thank you, you know, I got a lot of love for you, you know, and man that's it's it's it's no words
You can put on, you know, uh, it's no words really put to express
You know on the kind of loss you've experienced
Uh people most people couldn't have went through that and made it out of it and still be here to talk about it
You know, that's that's that's traumatic kind of things happening, you know consider that's traumatic stuff, you know
So I just really really admire your strength and admire your will to continue to push and you know
Find great things in life and again stay positive even when negative things were going on, you know for you to
Make that decision, you know to say hey
I'm not gonna deal with just some more from your first husband, you know to get your children out of that situation
That took a lot of strength that took boldness that took
Risk that took so many things that you know, you had to probably build up in yourself, you know to
Be able to accomplish that thing in that moment. That was very brave, you know
And of course, you know, you may not have felt the way before but to get to that point of bravery and to get your kids
Out of us, you know that that might be my mom, you know when we were in a situation like that
It took a while, but when she you know figured it out
She got us out of there, you know, and and that takes a lot of bravery
So, you know, I just really respect you, you know
And appreciate your story and the fact that you're being true with your story a lot of people would
You know wouldn't tell all of what you just told, you know, and so openly, you know
So thank you for that and anyone listening if you want to come up and ask anything or same thing, please do lady wings
What's up?
Hey, love and respect to everybody girl. I have not heard from you in a long time
I am so glad that I got to hear your voice and you know that I love you
You know that I got your you got my heart
To get to the positive side. I want to go on this ride with you
I mean, I want to follow you. I want to help any way I can
I love the act of the random acts of kindness, you know, we've had this conversation before
I'm just I'm just so glad you're back and you're strong and he is right
It takes hella guts and hella courage to step up
Especially when you're afraid and you got to get out of a situation been there did that survived it?
But I love you and i'm so glad you're here and i'm so glad you're strong and congratulations on the man
And the love that you got going girl if you can do it, I can do it too
But um, I so glad you're back, please don't ever leave that long again without at least saying hey
Um, because you are love and respected and needed your story is strong and it hurts like hell
But the fact the fact that you are so strong and able to share it
Is going to help a lot of people. I know
You might not think so, but it really really will and I love you and i'm here for you 100 percent
Oh, thank you so much. I love you, too
Seriously, yeah that and what she said is all facts
It takes a lot of boldness to share those kind of stories and to share a story
Again, that's like again. That's a that's like a movie, you know, that's movie pain right there something that can inspire people all over the world
You know because it's not something that everyday people don't go to I know a lot of people, you know
And they don't deal with loss like that, you know, so consecutively so
Again, it's just it's you're powerful man. You really are miss tama playmaker. What's up?
Yo, I just wanted to say to tamara to metagirl
I really appreciate her coming on and and being brave enough
Not every woman is brave enough for a man if they've gone through anything like what miss tamara has gone through
Is brave enough to come on and speak to a bunch of people
She knows and doesn't know about what she's been through some of the most tragic times in her life
But there's a reason for everything that happens in life
We may not know it till the end. Uh, but there is a reason and like miss tamara said, you know
Um, her kids were just too good for this earth and they were taken
and you know things were learned not only from her but
Just about how to get through hard times how to recover and how to still live life in the end, you know
find love
All of that and I think that there you know is another reason for all of us, you know to hear what she's gone through
Some of us are complaining about the guy who cut us off or some of us are complaining about the person who cut us in line
for our coffee this morning, um, or that you know, some stupid nft didn't 10x like, you know, it's supposed to
And and and that's like the worst of our week or a day or of our month or what have you
And miss tamara's gone through some of the most tragic things you can go through in life and you see her persevering
She's actually an entrepreneur now started own baking business. She's found love and she's living life and uh,
She's teaching us all tons of stuff that we could never be taught
unless unfortunately
Some beautiful soul like hers has gone through it. So I just want to thank you met a girl
And uh, sorry for for pinging you and saying hey
We missed you. We can't wait to hear your story in the uh in the dm because I know you probably I know you
You're so punctual. You probably just you know, like you said thought it was at a later time, but I am so happy
That you made it today and i'm so happy everybody in the crew got to hear and that's what I mean guys. Uh
These spaces are different
You know, you don't hear us talking about
All the stuff that other people are talking about our communities. We're trying to bring real stories real value real life real alpha
Forget the alpha about what's popping next. This is life alpha that all of us can take from no matter who we are and uh,
Not only from your post and not only from just seeing
Your joy when you uh send out tweets or respond to mine
Metagirl I can tell lately there's just something different, you know
I love seeing or hearing about that the new boyfriend. I love seeing your granddaughter in the pictures
She is the cutest and uh, I just love the happiness I see surrounding you right now. So
Keep it up. And uh, yeah guys, let's support each other. Let's support
um, it's tamara and uh
You know again if you have a story or something for us to learn from we'd love to hear it too
But miss tamara, thank you for being the guest of honor today because man, we are all holding back tears and we are all
Looking at uh at life a little differently after you speak and i'll tell you what
Definitely texting my mama here in a minute and telling her how much she means to me
And how much I appreciate everything she's done for me
I know others will as well, but you know again. Thank you so much
Oh, it was it was my pleasure. I um, it's uh
Sharing each time sharing. Um, I don't do it often but each time that I share it's like
Um, i'm getting rid of old skin
and it's uh
Washing it away. So it helps me as well. And um, it was my pleasure to do that
Definitely. I don't know if you've ever seen miss tamara. I I reference it quite a bit
But there's like uh, it's not even a meme but like a little jiff and there's a a wolf and it's like the old me
You know and it shows like one or two arrows in the back
And it shows the wolf kind of down and then it shows like the new me and it's like the alpha wolf's got like 10 arrows
In the back, but it's powering forward and so strong
You know, and I feel like that's how you are. You're so seasoned. You're so damn strong
You've had so many life experiences that we all can learn from but nothing
Nothing is going to take you down queen. So, uh, if you ever need us
I doubt you do because uh how strong you are. We probably need you more than you need us now
But if you ever need us to remind you of that you let us know because we'd accrue and we got your back a hundred percent
That's so special. I know that that's why i'm so involved and um
I will never leave the crew ever. Um, you guys mean the world to me
I love it, man. We love you so much miss tamara and again. Um, thank you so much for just being here with us on flipside today
It's all about uh you today. I might I want to ask you some questions
Uh, you know after this because I want to take a second i'm gonna do a song break
Um, and I dedicate the song to heaven and cody, but I also want to take a moment to silence
uh for heather and cody because
Um, I never got a chance to meet them, but they sounded beautiful
I know that relationship that you have with your children is it's something that you know, you always share
So we just want to show a little appreciation for them
And and your angels that's looking over you. So, uh, everybody take a moment to silence. Let's drop some hearts
Much love and much love happening cody and and and your beautiful mother
I know y'all are proud looking down from heaven and I know she
And if y'all see what she's doing, she's doing that mug right now
But this song right here that i'm about to play
Uh, i'm gonna dedicate this song also to have the encoder right here and then we're gonna get back with some questions for mr
Life ain't easy to seem to be worse can't express what you mean to me even though you're gone
You're still a tinker with your family. I'll fill your dreams in the future
I can't wait to see if you open up the case for me remember this sometime
Tonight they took my friend try to black it out for the place again
When it's really feeling it's hard to see can't imagine all the pain i've been giving you in the years have to break
I know you're still living your life
When you're in the way
What would I like to say for the fun to break
It's time to hold you by the record When you're into this smile and demo
Watch your knuckle, we pray for you Every day we pray for you
Till the day we meet again And if my heart is not in his brain
Give me the strength I need to proceed, strength I need to believe
My thoughts are bigger than just can't define Wish I could turn back the hands of time
Us in a six and chop the new folks and kicks You know me taking flips
Make the hits as crazy as they can see You still can't believe you're going to give
me a hatchet, bruh I know you're still living your life back to you
Every day we pray for you Till the day we meet again
And if my heart is not in his brain Give me the strength I need to be
Come today When you're in the way
What would I like to say? What would I want to say?
I'll be missing you So when you turn me on
I won't let go of me When this life is over
When I go, I'll see your face
Yes, indeed, man. Love that song. It made me think I was in here thinking about people
myself, so I just had to play that record. I thought it would be fitting. Not at this
stage for record, but definitely one that I feel like represents how we all feel about
people that we love, that we love, so I just wanted to dedicate that song to Heather and
Cody and say, Ms. Tamara, thank you once again for your vulnerability, just for you being
you, because again, you are a rare person. Very, very, very rare, like extremely rare.
People say stuff like that, but I really mean that you are a rare person and a special
person, so thank you. Man, we're going to get right into a few questions. I don't want
to keep the song or anything, but I do want to ask you something in regards to kind of
the topic today, how to stay strong, and then I'm going to get into a few questions
about some of the love and just all the great things that you got going on right now
to get that side of you, because I know we're in a whole new stage of Ms. Tamara.
We're in that glow up stage right now, so I'm excited to hear about that too, but I
just want to know, what did you lean on in that time, that worst time? What did you
lean on to be strong? And again, I know it's not something where you just said,
hey, I'm going to get through this, and it's just going to be easy. I know it wasn't
easy at all, and it probably took a long time, but what were things that you leaned
on in that time that helped you to kind of keep going?
It took a long while to get there. Like I said, I buried it so deep that I
didn't think about it. It's almost like I wasn't a mom, and I didn't have that
part of my life because I just didn't want to deal with it. But then when I
knew things were happening in my life, my health, my spirit, I could just feel
myself dying inside, so I knew I had to change. So I relied on God. I was so mad
at Him. I was furious. It's like, well, how could you do that to me? And then I
put myself on the other side and said, I know what God gave up for us,
and that's my faith. I just look at my two angels with Him as my sacrifice to Him,
and He taught me so much, and He has so many things, good things planned,
and I would say that God was my biggest strength after I allowed Him back into my
life, and He's my rock.
I'd love to hear that answer. Again, that was my mom, exactly. She would always say
to me, you don't got no faith. When I would doubt things or I would doubt myself,
she'd say, you don't got no faith. She'd be disappointed. She's disappointed
because she has so much faith. She gave everything to God, every single thing,
every triumph, and she had those moments. I would hear her crying and asking God
why He's doing the things He was doing to her, and she would still love Him.
She would still get over that, and then the next day or a couple of days later
when she would get horrible news all the time, and I would see her bounce
back in two days, three days, and then she'd just come down, wake up,
I'm coming downstairs, and she's happy, and she's like, God got me.
God, I'm going to be all right, and just watching her be that way,
and then I would watch her overcome those things when they would tell her
the chances are slim to none, and she would overcome them every time.
It kind of made me feel like, man, it's something that I'm lacking in life.
I really appreciate you sharing that because God is powerful,
and you may not be religious in here or anything like that, and that's okay.
I'm spiritual, you may be spiritual, you may have other religions.
Whatever you believe in, I appreciate you sharing what you believe in
and get you to where you are right now, Ms. Tamara.
So I appreciate that a lot.
Mentioning faith, too, it instantly made me thank my mom.
But yeah, I love that. Let's keep going.
I got another question now, and I'm going to go to Lady Wink right after this.
This might be a little more personal.
Before I get to the happy stuff, I don't want to tear-jerk anything.
If you will, now it's okay.
But could you tell us a little bit about Cody?
Some of the things you loved, did he play sports?
What was he into?
I could go on and on and on about Cody.
He was a joyful kid, always laughing.
Actually, I'm going to get out of my wallet.
After he died, my daughter and I were cleaning out his room,
and I've got to find it now.
We found a letter in his...
I can't find it now.
I'll keep looking, but he always worried about other people.
He wanted to make sure that they were okay,
and that was the most important thing to him.
He always gave way...
He went above and beyond of what he had to do to make somebody happy.
He wanted them to be happy and take away their fears.
He was a good, good kid.
At 14 and a half, he went across the street to a dairy to get a job.
He would do little things, like when his paycheck, he knew I loved to cook,
so he took his money and bought me a cutting board,
and I still have that cutting board, and it's very special to me.
He's always giving, always.
He was a jokester, always laughing and joking and making other people smile.
He hardly ever got in trouble.
The biggest thing he got in trouble for is when he would take his meat.
He didn't like meat, so at dinnertime he would push it in his cheeks
and hold it there until he was done where he could spit it out.
That was the biggest problem he ever had.
He was a good kid, a very good kid.
He wasn't into sports.
He liked the Fast and Furious cars, Usher's song, Yeah.
I sing that. That was his favorite song, and that song,
I turn it up full blast when I hear it, when it comes on,
and I'll say thank you, Cody, because it'll be the exact time
that I'm thinking about him or I needed to hear from him.
He also sends me golf balls.
He was playing with his sister one time in my dad's backyard,
and he swung the golf club and hit his sister in the head,
and she had to get like five stitches.
So he would say that next time I'll just throw the golf ball at you.
So every time when I find a golf ball, I say,
okay, Cody, that's pretty funny, and it'll make me laugh.
So, yeah, Cody was a good kid.
Everybody loved him.
There was hardly anything that he wouldn't do for somebody.
Just a good kid, very kind.
So that's about all I can say about him other than,
I sure do miss skipping in the mall with him.
It was the funniest thing I ever saw.
Who does that as a teenager with their mom?
And we'd do it. He didn't care.
He would say to anybody, I don't care.
You're not my friend if you can't accept my mom.
So, yeah, he was a special kid.
Man, he sounds perfect. He really does.
He sounds like he loves you.
Man, I'm just thinking about it myself.
I'm picturing you skipping with him,
and I don't even know what he looks like,
but I'm just picturing just his spirit.
He just really sounds like he was an amazing kid,
and you're right, he's too good for this place,
for sure too good for this place.
It sounds like, from what you're telling me,
he was literally an angel.
And in another form, but he's definitely with you,
like you said, with the golf balls and, you know,
just all those.
The Usher Yeah song, that's cool.
That means he has some style.
He had a good taste in music, for sure,
because that was my jam.
I went to Usher's concert and watched him perform that live,
you know, so I loved that 100%.
We would have definitely got to get together on music.
But yeah, man, that really touched me, Ms. Tamara,
on your relationship that you guys had.
It sounds really nice.
It was great.
I love it. I know it was.
But I want to give it off to Lady Wink,
because I know she had something she wanted to say or ask,
so Lady Wink, go for it.
I'm just over here all emotional,
because I do have much love for this woman.
She is strong, she is intelligent,
and she is more powerful than she gives herself credit for.
Now, about these cookies.
I'm looking at them getting hungry,
going, what's a girl got to do to get some cookies?
And then I read the whole thing.
And you mentioned God and your faith.
I'm an ordained minister.
I have been since 2014.
My thought was, and this is going to sound really lame,
but it's okay.
You already know who I am and what I'm about.
But in the wink of God's eye is what I heard
when you were speaking about your faith and your angels,
and somebody kind of kicked me in the side of my neck
and said, hey, what about Winkie's cookies?
The cookies that heal.
In the wink of God's eye, call them Winkies.
That's perfect.
I think I will.
That's really my first name.
It has nothing to do with it.
But in the wink of God's eye is what I thought.
No, I'll never look at those cookies again
and not think of that.
That's perfect.
I love you, girl.
I love you, too. Thank you.
I love you.
I love cookies.
And on a serious note,
on a totally separate situation,
what's a girl got to do to get some of your cookies?
I got milk.
I'll DM you.
Beautiful.
There you go.
I'm on deck, and y'all make sure y'all do support.
She has a bakery coming soon, where she is.
So that's going to be very exciting.
We might have to take a trip up there for the grand ripping cut.
We might have to take a trip.
Cookies on demand.
Chocolate chips on deck on there.
The Playmaker, what's up?
Yo, I just wanted to say, Visto,
you said some beautiful things.
And obviously, Ms. Metagirl,
just keep saying so many beautiful things.
And I love hearing just about your children.
I love hearing about you.
And yes, it is a tearjerker for sure, Lady Wings.
But I definitely do want to get to the other things
that are going on right now in your life
and being part of the crew.
I want everybody to know what occupies a lot of your time.
I see you in the kitchen.
You're cooking like crazy, like Lady Wings said.
With the cookies, with the banana bread
that you can't keep in stock,
with just everything you're doing.
So why don't you tell us, maybe if you'd like,
what state you're located in,
in case any of the crew is in that same state
and would like to get some goodies delivered.
But tell us what you're doing too,
like your entrepreneurship with the cooking,
with the bakery, how we can order
and just how you decided to kick it off.
How you decided to take off with it,
because I'm sure it's been brewing in your mind
for a little while.
That is my favorite story to date.
I was working really fast.
I was working at Chick-fil-A,
and being an older woman, I don't know.
Anyway, I was there for two months
and got called into the office
and said, we're going to have to let you go.
Aren't keeping up.
I mean, this place was so fast.
It was all young kids.
Looking back, it's like,
how could you think you could do that?
But I did.
I thought I could do it
and be like I was in my younger days,
but I didn't.
So I came home and I was so upset
and worried about letting down my man.
He said, everything's going to work out.
He asked me, he said, what would make you happy?
What do you want to do?
My first thing was animals.
Anything animals.
Dogs, cats, anything.
I want to save animals.
Then we talked about that a little bit.
Then he said, no, there's something else.
What would make you happy?
And I said to bake all the time
to find a job baking.
So he says, well, let's do it.
And we applied or went through the classes
for the cottage law.
We're located in Omaha, Nebraska.
And it's so cold here.
If I didn't have a heater in this house,
I'd be back in California, I'm telling you.
But I'm not looking back.
I'm staying here and I'm getting acclimated.
But he said, let's do it.
And so that's what it's done.
I started baking.
I started giving out samples
and we're going to do craft fairs
and the farmer's market in the springtime.
And then he also bought a laser printer
and for woodworking, I guess.
I don't know if it's called a laser printer.
But he's going to do some crafts and stuff like that.
And we're going to make a go of this
at the farmer's markets.
So I bake every single day.
In fact, he's gained 15 pounds.
And he doesn't know how I'm not gaining weight.
And I say, I just don't eat what I bake.
But I did yesterday, those cookies, I'm telling you.
I have never had a cookie that good in my life.
So I was kind of surprised I made them so good.
But that's my favorite cookie, the winky.
Aren't they snickerdoodles?
No, they're not snickerdoodles.
They have pretzels and toffee and chocolate.
Yeah, there's all kinds of stuff.
That's probably a winky cookie.
But anyway, that's what I'm doing now.
And we're trying to get it off the ground.
And it's just kind of been hard.
We have a website that he's been working on.
He's an IT tech.
So he's into computers.
And that's what his job is.
So he's been trying to hone that website
to where it would get the shipping and the handling
and just all kinds.
We have so many things planned.
But it's on my Instagram.
It's on my X page, my website.
And you can always DM me.
If you have something that you love, I'll make it for you.
It doesn't matter.
I'll make anything that you want.
And if it's sweet, I'm going to make it.
So that's what's going on.
Now, Ms. Tamara, I think you said that you can ship it,
or obviously, well, I guess that's shipping it,
ship it to other states.
I don't know if you've tried that yet or not.
But I just want to let the family know.
Guys, you've heard Ms. Tamara's story.
You've heard the heart she has.
You see the love and support she gives to everybody around her.
Ms. Tamara, please put up whatever tweet
you feel best represents your new company,
like, retweet it, and show you some love.
But family, even the one tweet that I pin to the top,
please like, retweet, show some love, make a comment,
throw a name out there to help see algorithm.
But definitely, when she puts up any tweets to the top,
let's support her, show her love,
and know that she's putting her heart, soul,
and everything into these cookies,
this idea, this bakery.
And I know that she's going to deliver with the taste
with that love.
So please, let's support the crew for sure.
And Ms. Tamara, you know I am.
So whether it's just one thing I love to do
is I love to do random acts of kindness.
Like you were saying, whether it's leaving some money
under a canned soup at the store,
or whether it's paying for another couple's meal
next to us at the restaurant, I love doing that.
So one thing I definitely want to do
is I definitely want to get an order of my own cookies,
but I also want to donate and send you some ETH
so that you can just bake some of these cookies
and give them out to those who need them.
Whether that's the homeless or anyone around your area
that you know would benefit and love them,
I want to send you a little something
so you can, again, send those to those
who want them, need them,
and would obviously show you endless amounts of love
for doing that out of your own heart.
But guys, let's support Ms. Tamara.
And again, Ms. Tamara, please put those links up there
or whatever you can put before this space,
and so we can truly show you that crew love.
Oh, that is, that almost makes me cry.
I'm telling you, I love this family so much.
You guys really, you really touch my heart every single day.
And I am so glad that you were placed in my life.
And I just know I'm meant to be here.
Thank you so much, Playmaker.
I just, I just don't know what else to say.
You know hippies, we eat a lot of cookies.
Yeah, I was thinking about,
when they approve cannabis here,
setting up a cookie shop next door.
Yeah, that's smart right there.
You think it's smart right there, get some money.
You want to go into the business,
you definitely put them cookies next to the potheads.
You go out the dispensary,
you go right to get some freaking baked goods.
You're probably people's favorite bakery.
That's actually a really smart business plan.
See, you're thinking, you got this.
As soon as they open up that can,
you need to literally be looking for locations
and finding out what's the first,
who's got the first license, who got the first everything.
So you can try to have a meeting with them.
I'm like, listen, I'm about to put a cookie shop next to y'all.
I give y'all discounts.
I give y'all some free cookies.
Just let people know I'm going to be next door
because I'm definitely going to be next door.
I'm telling you.
And you put pot butter in them
and those will really be cookies that heal for real.
One step at a time.
That's perfect.
I'm telling you, that's the game plan right there, strategy.
You'll be the number one franchise
next to all the dispensaries in Omaha.
That's how you do it.
And then we're going to be seeing you on CNN,
on all the talk shows, baking cookies,
and like you're going to be the next,
what's her name?
Martha Stewart.
You're going to be the Miss Fields, Martha Stewart.
You're going to be Martha Stewart
because you're going to be popular.
So you're going to be on TV with the cookies.
So you're going to be like Martha Stewart
and you're going to be Miss Fields with the bakery.
So we're going to mix the two.
Martha Stewart with the popularity
and Miss Fields with the good ass bakery.
That's how we carrying it in 2024.
So with that being said,
I'm going to drop this track
and we'll be right back with a giveaway.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I come home from the kingdom to see ya
down from the kingdom.
She's not allowed to hear me.
She's complaining now.
They told them to cook.
I certainly will.
Is this cool?
No, I am a miracle.
This is the life she spread it below
Oh come on y'all
Oh come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
Come on y'all
If you want the head steady, I'ma melt your cow
That's a get-a-bout game, I'ma spit the truth
I'ma stop till I get a min, they gonna think, ooh
If you put them in for me off with they clothes, then then
I was in the front, and touch your toes
I left the jacket, and I took the roll
To thank them, and I put them on foot to throw
How you like me now?
With my feet, I got over 300,000
Let's crack, you're the one to please
We fill cups like double D, yeah
We're supposed to be leaving big
We're the lady in the street, but I'm freakin' up in that same
And, CUT.
That used to be my favorite part of this song at the end.
Shout out to that
I used to do it, man, I had to play it with Cody, man
So yeah, then we got to give away
Before I do it, What's Up, fam?
that playmate as well before I do it.
What's up, fam?
Yo, fam, so in a bit,
I'm gonna have to drop down to the listener.
I'm gonna be taking my dog, either the vet,
get its shots and stuff so I won't be able to speak,
but I just wanted to let Tamara know
I definitely sent you a nice 50 bucks in ETH.
So again, would love for you to bake up some cookies,
give them out to all that you can as far as the homeless,
the needy, families, whoever, wherever,
whatever you feel is the best use of that.
Shared all your life experiences
and everything you've been through.
I know we've all learned a lot
and I can't just tell you how much I love
having you in the crew,
having you put out your tweets daily, interacting with you.
You show so much love to me in general.
So that's why I had to show the love back.
But again, family,
I hope you guys all have a really, really blessed Friday,
the rest of the night and a blessed weekend
and we'll be back at it on Sunday with Drum Circle Sunday,
but hopefully that helps Ms. Tamara
and I got so much love for you.
So again, my DMs are always open for you
and anybody else in the crew,
but Visto, thank you for this space.
Thank you crew for showing up
and showing Ms. Tamara support.
For those of you that did like and retweet her post,
y'all are just so amazing.
But again, guys, it's been super special.
We'll be down here and listeners
for the rest of the space.
Thank you, brother.
And Ms. Tamara, you can probably say thank you.
I do, thank you so much.
That means the world to me
and thank you for your faith in me.
I will definitely let my heart lead where I give that.
And I just got told,
I had just made a cheesecake,
a baklava cheesecake for a friend of my honey.
So she said that there's some place in town
that you pay what you can for a meal.
It's a restaurant.
So I was thinking that would be the perfect place
to donate it to.
So I'm gonna find out more about that
and I think that'll be perfect.
Thank you again.
You do that, Queen, and I'm so glad that it can help you.
And again, like I said,
on the real, just like you're one of the few
who reaches out to Visto and asking how he's doing
and other crew are doing,
feel free to reach out to me if you need anything
or just wanna talk to someone,
but I'll definitely be reaching out to you
from here on out and making sure you're good
and everything's good on your end.
But again, enjoy the rest of the space
and your night and weekend, and we'll be in touch soon.
Well, thank you.
Beautiful, beautiful, love, love that.
And again, thank you for being here.
Playmaking, everyone else that joined in on today.
I got Tricky on the stage as well,
so shout out to you, Tricky.
But I wanna get this giveaway going right fast
as I did for the winner and I see him in here.
Shout out to Only Good Vibes.
You are the winner of that hippie on that,
on the Jumbotron, my personal hippie too, from my wallet.
So shout out to you, my man, you won that hippie.
We will be getting that over to you.
And we still have a love cap.
I'ma still do a love cap for this thing, wraps up.
So you got a chance to potentially win one of those.
But Tricky, man, welcome to the stage where we were,
we got a little bit of time left.
You know, we wrapping this thing up around 3.45 is four,
but Tricky, welcome to the stage, fam.
Did you have anything that you wanted to say
or are you just coming up the vibe with the crew, man?
What's happening?
It's Tricky Buddha from DeFi Space Donkeys.
Yeah, just coming up the vibe with the crew, man.
Happy Friday, hope everyone's doing awesome.
You know, much love to all the fam here.
You got a nice room.
I love the hippies.
So yeah, I just had to come in here and show some love.
That's all.
Appreciate it, man.
Yes, sir. Nice little flip side vibe, man.
And Sunday, we got Drunk Circle
with myself and Playmaker hosting that.
Got some special guests coming on.
I know I have a friend of mine's, DB Bantino coming on
and he has worked with the Migos, Offset, Scott Storch.
He's worked with a lot of big people.
He had platinum records overseas.
And a good friend of mine,
we got videos together, songs together.
And I really, I admire what he does
and he doesn't know much about Web 3.
So not only we're gonna interview him,
but also introduce him to the space.
So that'll be fun Sunday.
And then Monday on Slow Burn Up,
we had Poppy from Quirky's coming through.
He's the head of Web 3.
For Quirky's, he's gonna come through, vibe out,
get some real conversation in with us.
We'll talk cannabis too.
So that's the weak plant.
But yeah, man, let's get back to this thing right here,
where we are.
Because I do have a few more questions for you, Ms. Tamara.
And these are all off the,
kind of off the top of my head
because now there are more personal things
that I just thought of just during the course of
listening to just give all the inspiration.
But if you could leave any words of encouragement
or words of wisdom, because again, you've been through a lot,
but you also, you have wisdom, you have time.
So is there anything that you would say,
and it doesn't have to be anything specific,
just something that you feel
or something that people should know
about living a positive life
or just any words or advice you wanna give?
First thing that I would say is,
oops, hang on a sec, here, I lost you.
The first thing I would say is
not to take one moment, one millisecond for granted.
Be thankful that you woke up in the morning,
that you can put your feet on the floor.
Be thankful that you can,
anything, just the smallest of things,
be thankful for that,
because there's so many out there that don't have it.
They are praying for what you have right now.
And it may be little things, totally little things,
but you know what?
All those little things add up to big things.
And I started out with nothing when I was on this journey.
And I found that so much,
everything that I wrote down in my,
I write down exactly what I want
and I read it until I get it.
And what I wrote down has come true to this very day,
all except for my new Camaro.
So I'm still waiting on that,
but that's just neither here nor there.
It wouldn't make me happier or any sadder or anything.
It was just something that I wished for,
but everything else has come true.
And to be kind to the other people,
you'd never, ever know what people are going through, ever.
They may have a good game face on
and you would never know something's bothering them.
So just be kind to people.
Even if somebody's happy all the time,
you can't be happy all the time.
It's just not possible.
So just always be kind and to reach out,
check on your friends, check on your family.
Just don't take anything for granted
because we are not promised tomorrow.
And I found that out
and I would have done things so much differently
if I had known, but those are my words.
Thank you, Ms. Tamara.
And I'm gonna drop some,
I'm gonna drop some class for that one
because that's absolute facts.
Be kind, man, be more kind to people.
You said another fact, people aren't.
Even if they act happy, a lot of people are,
a lot of people have to be the strongest person
in their family or at their job or in their friend group.
They're the one that everyone comes to.
So they have to put on their front founders.
A lot of founders put on their front
like everything is good
because you have to be in that role.
You can't look weak.
Well, it's different in this space,
but in the corporate world, definitely.
They can take advantage of you in those moments
and they will, the sharks will, you know?
So I understand it, but also, you know,
definitely understand what Ms. Tamara is saying,
which is so true.
Speak kind to people
because you never know what they're actually going through.
And it's crazy, you ever had a moment where,
you know, you assume something
and you spazz out on somebody
but not being there for you or something,
then they come and say something like,
man, I just had a car accident
or I just got it out.
You're like, oh shit, what the hell was I thinking?
You know?
You never know what a person has going on in that moment.
You never know what they just went through.
You know what I mean?
And again, a lot of times we're in our own world.
So it's mostly what we need and what we have going on.
But again, slow down
and start thinking about what others have going on.
Ask people how they're doing, you know?
A lot of my interaction in web three, you know,
I wish they were just based on the basic human fabrics,
like, yo, how you been?
You know, there's so many people in the space that,
you know, I contact and ask just, how are you doing?
What's up?
I haven't seen, you know, what's going on.
Because I want to know how they're feeling
and where the head is.
Because I thought, you know, not even I thought,
but we've actually built a report, you know, a real report.
And those things means I'm going to meet, you know?
So yeah, be kind, man.
I love that Ms. Tamara, thank you.
Thank you a million percent.
And thank you for joining us today
and being our guest on Flipside, episode 52.
Really appreciate you.
You helped to really make it a powerful episode.
I know a lot of people got something from it.
I hope you did, if you did, because I know I did for sure.
A lot of strength from this,
a lot of appreciation from this, you know,
and perspective as well.
So thank you.
Well, I just love this group.
There's, I just can't, I don't have the words.
I just, I'm at home.
I feel at home.
I feel, I feel accepted and valued
and I've learned so much
and I will never leave.
I just love it.
And I know that for a fact,
I know you cause you so genuine.
So it's mutual as well coming from me.
So we locked in for life Ms. Tamara, that's for sure.
And everyone is listening,
chopped in hard, show some love, shoot or follow.
You love baked goods and cookies, like I do.
I'll support her and follow her journey with a new bakery
and what she's gonna be doing,
make sure you get it in and get you some cookies, man.
Impressive chocolate, toffee, caramel cookies.
Sounds bomb, man.
Just that alone.
Who you know making cookies like that?
Come on now.
We gon' make this woman's name worldwide.
Long global.
But I had something I wanted to say.
Right at the tip of my tongue.
What I wanted to say was yes,
that love cap up there,
we're gonna be giving that away in the next,
I say five minutes, I'm a portal winner for that.
But man, again, I just wanna say everyone listening,
thank you for being a part of this community.
We have so much real genuine love here
and it's just dope.
So thank you.
Tricky, what's up fam?
I just posted up some positive messages up top.
I put this in some words that kinda made sense
in my Discord, talking to someone
and I decided to share it with everyone.
Perspective is everything
and when you say perspective, I just kind of triggered it.
I was like, I think I should share it here too.
Yeah, the defi space donkey's thing
is like a brain retraining technique
that I've kind of came up with.
If you know my story, you understand.
If not, you think I'm shilling
every time I go into a place, but check it out.
It's all about perspective and positivity.
Yeah, that's what it's up.
So much love, fam.
Yes, sir.
Ms. Tamara, if you could discuss it in this one for me,
but anyone listening that's not community
and after this, I'm gonna do this giveaway
and then we're gonna wrap this thing up.
But anyone that isn't community that's not HLK,
they may not know the vibe we gave her off
and they may not have never heard of us.
But for you, what has HLK meant for you
since you came along, since you joined it?
Like I said, acceptance, there's no judgment.
It's full of integrity.
The drive and passion that you show
is so much that it spills over
where everybody else needs to get involved
and wants to get involved.
It's family.
It's everything.
I've never felt so welcomed and locked into somewhere
that I know you guys will always be here for me
and I will always be for anybody that needs me.
It's just the integrity, the respect that you give,
we all give and that's the most important thing.
And it's your values, they mirror my values.
So just acceptance.
That's it.
That's the, to me, the number one thing
I think you nailed it all right there, acceptance.
It's that safe space for everyone to be accepted,
to be yourself, to get your point across
and not feel like you'll be ridiculed or exiled
because you think differently
or you have a different view on something.
We working together, it's real community, the idea of it.
That's why we say we're a criminally,
we're that second family.
So absolutely right, that's how I feel too.
And I think that's why again,
I connect with you like I do
because I do see a lot of myself and you,
and the way you move and the way you interact with people
and just your spirit, not only seeing myself
but I get inspired by watching how you interact with people
because again, it's a very rare thing.
So thank you.
I did pull the winner for that love cap.
And again, we're gonna be sending stuff out
when we get everything.
We don't wanna send one thing out
and everybody else doesn't get their stuff.
But the winner is, we picked Joe Dazzler.
That is the winner on the X Factor.
So shout out to Joe Dazzler,
winner of that love cap up there.
Shout out to you, my boy.
Actually, he helped us out during the beach cleanup too.
He came out and supported and was there.
So that's dope.
Much love to you, his radio show in the morning.
Make sure y'all check that out.
But man, ultimately, that's pretty much it for today.
It's Pac-Man in here, Playmaker in here.
Joe Dazzler, Shorty in here.
Pickles, Nano Beach, Savage, Sean, Sky High
for the long run, DC over, Vicky.
Who's that?
Unlucky, Cardano, I see you saying.
Hot gas fees.
My kids in that T's, good vibes.
Moon Rover, Eddie in here.
Red Devil, Mr. Random.
All familiar faces, man.
Shout out to you guys.
So yeah, it's been a great day today.
Salute to you guys.
If anyone has anything they want to say
before we wrap it up, you can go for it.
Ms. Tamara, would you like to say anything,
being our special guest today?
I just want to say,
I hope that people felt the sincerity in my words.
I don't like to share a lot,
but just something at,
just something tugged at my heart to share.
And I just want you to know
that everything came from my heart
and I don't have a good way of expressing myself all the time
that what I'm thinking doesn't match what my words are.
I get all mixed up.
I get, but just the sincerity.
I love you guys
and there's nothing I wouldn't do for you.
And if anybody ever wants to talk,
I'm always available, just DM me.
And I might send you a kooky or two.
You heard it.
Hit her up, man.
She's definitely someone that you'd want to have
in your corner, just as a good friend.
So, man, the crew, it's been a great day.
Really great episode of Cliffside.
One of my personal favorites
because these are new for us
to be bringing on community guests.
And this is something I always wanted to do.
I wanted to just get people with stories,
something that can inspire people,
beyond just the questions
and us having dialogue and bouncing questions,
but really having some real experience sometimes.
So I appreciate you, Ms. Tamara, for being a part of that
and being so vulnerable to share your story
with the community
because you definitely inspired us,
motivated us and filled us with strength today.
So thank you.
All the listeners, thank you.
Everyone that listened in
and they tuned in every Friday, we appreciate it.
Everyone that comes in the space, thank you.
Sunday, Sunday we back at it with the jump circle
with some dope, dope ass special guests.
You're gonna love this jump circle this Sunday.
And then Monday we got Poppy from Quirky's,
the head of Web 3.
He just got that position.
So we're gonna talk a little bit about that.
Talk some real Web 3 stuff.
We can a lot more nitty gritty on slow burners.
So it's gonna be raw, that's for sure.
But yeah, man, today's been great.
And y'all have a great rest of y'all weekend.
We'll see y'all on Sunday.
I'm so sorry.
Thanks for coming out.
Thank you, guys.
We'll be right back.
Thank you, bye.
Time to play.
Good night.
Bye, guys.
And that's a wrap y'all
Thank y'all for joining us with flipside episode 52 with a crew y'all we outta here
See y'all on Sunday at the drum circle with me and playmaker
